Other Shows We're Watching

Veera ... continues to grip. The Sarpanch has something he wants to tell Ratan about the girl Amrita and why things happened the way they did, but she doesn't want to hear anything. The feeling of betrayal is too deep, too painful. He asks his friend Kartar for help, but Amrita is the girl who left Kartar waiting at the marriage mandap ... Sarpanch carries out the final rites alone.
Ranvi in the meanwhile has eyes only for his new sister. And he starts caring for her, as his mother is in no state to. And finally Ratan tells him not to have any relation with the baby because she's 'paap' ... and Ranvi is horrified.

The kid's acting is thoroughly impressive. Leaves the adults behind.

Veera - update for Tuesday - Panchayat. Sampooran announces his own judgement as Sarpanch, the baby has to stay with its father. Illegitimate or otherwise. Interesting debate. Me with Sampooran. What is the fault of the child? But it's punishing his wife more than hm, to have to live with the living proof of her husband's infidelity. No right or wrong decisions here, unfortunately.
Ranvi has to clean up the potty *rofl*
Ratan needs to change her clothes *rofl* And stop crying. Start pulling yourself together, woman!
Love Chaiji ... the voice of reason that Ratan needs right now!

Saregamapa ... just started watching ... the calibre of singers is very good this time. And the songs so far are good. Enjoying it.

Qabool Hai ... I saw one scene this week, where Zoya has shifted to Asad's house, goes to sleep in his bedroom after eating pizza on his bed in a completely messy way. Whatever little I have seen of her, can't stand the girl - she's not chirpy and bubbly, she's loud and plain obnoxious!
Asad enters and without switching on the light, goes to his bathroom ... the room which made me fume ... changes, comes back and gets into bed without switching on his light at all. Talk about creating unnatural situations! Didn't see anything else this week, so can't comment further.

Madhubala ... I saw one scene when RK drops Madhu home, and tells her father Malik why he won't tell Madhu that he made the attempt on RK's life. Nicely scripted, RK was ok. Didn't see much of Madhu, whatever I did was unremarkable.

Mohit Sehgal's new show, Khamoshiyan starts on Monday. I will not be making daily posts on that one, but I will add it to this list. Hope it's good. Its predecessor Ek Doosre Se was yanked off air very unceremoniously, they never even got to finish their current track. Which means that SP CAN take off shows without much notice if it wants to. It seems it just does not want to do that with IPK.

  1. Dia,

Waiting for this post as IPK has nothing left to discuss. I too love Veera, don't miss an episode of the show. My hubby is surprised that I am hooked on a non-romantic show. Love the depth they have brought in each character. While the Sarpanch seems to be clearly in the fault for betraying his wife and not taking care of the girl he slept with, his guilt and repentance makes one feel sorry for him as one feels for the poor wife whose world came crashing the day the said woman came to her door step with a child to boot and fell down dead in her house taking with her all that she held dear till then. It was poignant to see how just as one relationship broke (that of the sarpanch and his wife) another blossomed (than of Ranvi and his baby sister).

Agree with you that the boy is just too cute and acts so naturally, as one would expect an innocent child would act under the circumstances. I can't stand child artistes acting like grown ups. It was so moving to see this innocent soul stretch himself to be his sister's guardian, even overcoming his own fear of cockroaches, striving to feed her and keep her safe, even when the adults in the house wallow in their own sorrow and sense of guilt.

Qubhool Hai: Agree the girl is obnoxious. They are going overboard in bringing in the stark contrast between the hero and the heroine. While the man seems to suffer from OCD, is steeped in staunch muslim traditionalism but at the same time respectful and loving towards his family, the girl is loud, modern, untidy and plain rude. I too was thinking how our IPK girls would react to Azad's luxurious room and bathroom after being shown ASR's cramped room and even more cramped bathroom. You see Geet fans were annoyed to see ASR's 'huge' house with a pool in contrast to Maan's modest house. Maan had a grandiose house at the start of the show but later on they changed the set to a much smaller one. There is such a typical pattern exhibited by this show it is becoming so easy to predict this PH's behaviour. One has to see one year down the line where QH will be and which show will be its souten.

Madhubala is really well poised at this juncture. The love story is warming up and I love the depth being brought in to the characters. The hro wards off the seductive advances of his ex-girl friend who also happens to be his sis-in-law. He is increasingly attracted to his wife and is shown to be sensitive to her feelings so much that he calls off the search for the man who attempts to kill him, for he does not want her to know her much loved foster father in the man behind his life. The wife, in turn, gets suspicious of her father and confronts him with the truth. Drashti is really good in the show and Vivian is improving by the day.

    1. Wow Opti,
I think your comments are still the most delicious to the blogger and Dia has to retrieve them all the time. This post was not there when I wrote mine. I came back and you have the same thoughts as me!
      Especially on MB and Vivian!

    2. I know! Every time I see a comment by Opti on my phone, I rush to my lappy as soon as possible to retrieve it! A few did get published recently though - so I'm hopeful my lappy recognises that Opti is not a spammer in the near future!

    3. Hi opti,

Nice to see you here. Missed your comments very much. I used to look for your comments in the ipkknd forum and then they vanished. I did not know of this blog then. Found it quite late it seems.

Have not seen veera as yet. It comes too late for me.

    4. Hi Usha,

Good to see you here. I've not been posting in IF for quite a while now. So I guess we are seeing a repat of the Geet fiasco here, hysteric fans, unapologetic PH and confused channel giving mixed signals. Somethings never change, do they?

    5. Opti,

I know. I started seeing ipkknd with a sense f detachment because I came into it already liking BS AND SI a lot because f their previous shows. Yes, some things never change especially with this PH. They have an eighteen month itch. But to give them credit, they did not make some of the mistakes they did there but some things were true to form. They just get tired after a year, and then take the easy way out and just focus on the leads thereby tiring them out. They forget to use the other characters which they were doing so well in the beginning. I used to love the Mami character very much. Payal, bua, whether right or wrong, they were good characters who they stopped weaving into the story, which I can say is again representative of their lazy writing. :-((

Even if akash Payal chemistry was non existent, her chemistry with khushi, arnav and others were good. Every relation does not have to be romantic in nature. But these are lazy people, what to do. Akash arnav scenes became non existent.

QH in a year to 18 months will be the same. As you said in another post I read, another sauten will come.

    6. Usha,

You have rightly said. This PH has a short attention span that lasts till the next big show is on the block. They also have a limited pool of writers/technicians who are moved around to give fillip to their newer shows once the earlier ones are established. Then they hope that the old ones will run on auto pilots. If they don't, they will just crash land them. Now in this show their male lead also seems to get bored easily, especially when there is not much of substance to his character but he is made to work tirelessly for a show which has lost its lustre. So they found their convenient scapegoat.

I agree that had they concentrated on developing parallel stories for the other cast, especially when they are so good, things would not have been so messy. Whenever they did focus on the rest, the story only turned from bad to worse - remember the bubbly track and what they did to Anjali after the Shyam revelation? I sometimes wonder how they can come up with such weird plots when all they needed to do was to develop plots around the supporting characters who were already well defined.

After my experience with Geet, my expectations from this PH were low so I wasn't too disappointed. Detached attachment to their jodis is the key to retain one's sanity but I clearly understand the sentiments of people who haven't been exposed to this PH's workings.

    7. Opti,

Same pinch. I feel like a saint. I exhausted my agonising over a lead pair with maaneet and ou remember how medha and me decided we woud make GHSP our kayamat :-)) no more. But it becomes easier and you become a pro. But every 4l serial the viewer comments remain the same. I went back and saw my last post on GHSP and I could use the same for ipkknd by just changing the names of the characters. It is quite eerie, the same pattern, the same words, first time Hindi serial viewers promising never to touch a 4l show again and a lot of GHSP viewers did sick to that. And the same will happen to ipkknd viewers and it will go on. But their casting and characters are still eye catching. Though I don't feel the thrill as yet with the new baby. Maybe t will grow. I don't know.

And here the lead seems to have lost interest. He is n a business where he has to take care of how he looks and he does not seem to be bothered to have a shave or cut his hair when everybody is asking for it or rather dreaming of it.

It has been nice chatting with you. I will drop in more often here now that I knw where to look.

The boy Ranvijay, Bhavesh...(thats his name)is a darling..bilkul fida on him....seriously will give the biggies a complex with his histrionics....this is god's truth...

    1. Rekha, aren't you watching Saregamapa? The show has some good singers this time. My problem is that it airs on weekends at 9pm - very tough time for me to manage. I have to find the repeat timing if there is one.

Veera does have a lot of rona dhona at the moment, but it's balanced by the really sweet Ranvi scenes. That kid is brilliant, and the little baby is sooooo cute!!! And the emotions are all understandable ... I mean, a woman's life is bound to be shattered if the day she discovers her pregnancy, another woman shows up with her husband's baby and promptly dies at her doorstep! But I think Ratan should start coming out of it this week, otherwise it will be stretched too long.

I remember in Masoom, I understood Shabana Azmi's anger with NS completely, but I was upset that she was so cold towards the little boy. What was his fault in the mess?! And this is just a little baby! But that's the beauty of human emotions, they don't take logic into account! Kisi ka gussa kisi aur par!
That's why the little boy looking after his new sister is sooo adorable! The innocence and purity of childhood truly shines through!

    2. I can't watch saregamapa becos i don't get zee now...i mean i haven't subscribed to it...i used to do that when i wanted to watch the little kiddos saregamapa...and also the other one where Kamal Khan used to sing...but i never warmed up to any serial on zee..i saw snatches of pavithra rishta long ago...i kinda liked the guy and girl but it fizzled out for me soon...

Yes, I can give Veera a shot altho the timing of the serial is so bad...why do they show it so late?

U said it...in fact in masoom, one of my favourite scenes in the movie is when the boy goes missing and SA having that pangs of guilt and the way she talks to him when he is found..i was a young kid when i saw it first but i still remember that scene making an impression on me and i asked my brother to explain the scene to me..
I think Ratan needs to deal with it now...one way or the other....if only for our sanity..LOL
The kiddie pair is absolutely adorable!! when they were giving milk to the little one, i was moved by the scene altho worried about hygiene...

      Delete
    3. That's why I said I liked the katori chamach - it's more hygienic than bottle feeding. Though the way the kid and dad used their fingers after that was NOT! *rofl*

I need to find a dvd of Masoom and watch it again ... I just loved that movie. I remember when the two girls call each other - you aloo, you baingan, you mooli - on the dining table, my mother loved it, she said me and my brother used to fight exactly like that! And again, the way the girls accept the little boy without much fuss and bother, while the parents are battling it out ... NS and Shabana Azmi are such great actors!

      Delete
    4. yeah i meant about the fingers.in fact, My kiddo never used a bottle...she just wouldn't so i always used the chamach and katori.. and i was lucky!!

    5. One special memory about Masoom...the lakdi ki khaati song...just watch the end of the song when the youngest one is singing and looks all happy and then suddenly she starts to cry...its there for a fraction of a second only n screen...It was baffling when i saw it becos they never followed up on that scene..my surmise was it is an off-screen moment when the little one became cranky and the makers decided to keep in the song....i still look out for that part any time i watch it...

  3. Dia,
We seemed to have watched the same things this week. A lot of Veera, quite a bit of MB and the exact same scene of QH which is the only scene I watched too.

QH: I fumed at the bathroom too. I am not impressed by the girl at all. Opti says she has accepted it, may be I should take an effort to watch it. Problem is, it is dinner time and bed time for my son and the repeat the next day airs the same time as IPK. And I am not missing the repeat of IPK for QH as of now. Only KSG impresses so far.

Veera: lots of hopes on this one. This is the only serial hubby watched with me and he did not find any head desk moments. He watched it with a lot of curiosity, I must say. (I think he feels my taste in serials have improved, that I don't watch just M&B shows!)

MB: GH is writing here too, right? I guess he has lot less interference from the PH.
Like the current track- Nadhu finds out Malik tried to kill RK, whereas RK wanted to keep it a secret from her. Cute! Considering how similar the hate marriage scenario is, I like this diversion in the story- EXCELLENT! They are concentrating on the supporting cast a lot.

Drashti- is very repetitive, has very linited expressions compared to San. I have grown to like Vivian better than Drashti. He has evolved, she has the same expressions from whatever little I have seen of Geet.

BV: The other show I find sensible opened my eyes to one thing. NO GREAT DIRECTOR OR SCRIPTWRITER INCLUDING 4 LIONS themselves can recreate the magic of Arhi.

SANAYA nad BARUN are UNIQUE- their chemistry is unparalleled. I am so lucky to have been a part of their journey. I really want to hug these two great artists.

Needless to say, the romance between Shiv and Anandi fail to impress. I prefer Jagiya- Anandi- more chemistry there!

Colors- India's got talent looks good. I am not a regular viewer. Looks like they are coming out with a desi version of that creepy serial killer show in Star world, starring the Dr. ashutosh from kuch toh log kahenge- Is that show ending? (If that is so, I am seriously considering filing a PIL against glorifying serial killing.) Been sometime since I watched anything at all on Sony other than tidbits of the amnesia show.

  4. My husband was in the room when I was watching the last episode of Veera on re-run this morning. His comment - the kid is better than the adults.

    1. J,

' so much negative attention from audience'
The popularity and unkind comments from the fans, I feel are the undoing of IPK- and probably Barun.

I really wish people'd concentrate on the positive aspects instead of finding someone to bash!

I feel they gave us a decent show which was the most watchable show compared to its contemporaries. And Gul never went the EK way of killing/ plasticsurgery/ time leap etc.
Somehow, I really respect her for that even if it means I might never get to see my fav jodi together ever again!

I shouldn't be mentioning this here, since QH is only going to get the PH bashed more, I am slowly changing my opinion on QH. The show is looking better. They seem to have settled in. And I think the PH and channel are lucky that the leads will never become the rage that Sarun is- less headache, less pressures from fans, channel...or another test of Gul's attention span?

      Delete
    2. J,
I haven't seen that here ... apparently on SBS or SBB there was something about the 'new Arnav'. Fans are going into hysterics of course. I for one, can't understand, if channel wants BS, Gul is on buddy-buddy terms with BS, why is the guy still hell bent on leaving? Especially the channel - BS would surely not be such a fool as to leave when the channel wants him to stay back? And neither would the PH force Barun to leave if channel puts so much pressure? Itna panga they also won't take na?

Just cannot fathom the real story here at all. The politics is too murky for me to understand.

So detachment is the word ... jab tak dekhna hai, dekho.

If they do get a new Arnav, I would prefer that to a new guy for Khushi - at least it wouldn't be a mockery of the Arnav-Khushi story. Vaise bhi, it doesn't seem the show will last more than a couple of months. I guess we should appreciate Gul for what she did give us, instead of bashing her for what could have been ... the problem is, there are so many 'what could have been's!

I'm just glad that Veera has started, at least I have one decent show to watch on telly after IPK winds up - I still plan to watch IPK till the end. :)))

    3. Dia,

SP says Barun wants to quit IPK, they go on to say he is not interested in television.

The PH says Barun wants to quit.

Barun himself says he wants a break from this- reason- he wants to spend time with his family.

SP has promised that they have new shows lined up, and that they won't destabilise our favorite show, which can mean only one thing. The channel and the PH have decided to wrap up the show, which is the best thing to do.

I hope they do it in good style.
IPK had to end some day, and I am thankful for this beautiful journey that Sarun and 4 lions took us through.
From the SP news and Barun's iv teaser, I wonder if we will get to see Sarun together after this.

So, let us enjoy what little we get of them for the rest of the show!

      Delete
    4. If they're going to wind up in two months, why can't he stay on for those two months? Take a break now, come back after a couple of weeks - business trip to AMerica with Payash, Evil Dhruv makes an entry, Khushi battles, Arnav comes back after 2-3 weeks, whatever break he wants, and then they finish off Dhruv together and end the show. Why is Barun being so unmoving? There have to be some other factors at play here.

Anyway, I guess those are things we will never come to know. Let's just watch and enjoy whatever we get of them for as long as we do. The show had to end one day ... it's given us a great ride and I have met some lovely people through it ... hope you all will hang around here even after it ends! *hugs*

  6. I sincerely hope they do decide to scrap IPKKND Jaya. It has had a glorious run and SARUN made ARHI a magical journey that no-one can recreate. The saddest part for me in all of this is that there was so MUCH potential to what they started out with, yet they chose to squander it COMPLETELY!

Wish all the actors and team members of IPKKND all the best - they truly deserve it for all their sincere hard work. As far as the PH and Channel are concerned - they deserve each other.

Btw guys, this is my first outing on a hindi serial - I gather from Opti's post that what happened with IPKKND is modus operandi for the PH. But is the response to IPKKND and/or Sobti's departure that we have witnessed on IF and other places the norm or is this an "ajooba"?

    1. Aki, the mass hysteria that we are witnessing for the show is nothing unique. There was more craziness witnessed when Geet was pulled out. People bombarded the channel with requests and threats for a season 2 with the same leads but it all fell in deaf ears. So I don't expect any dramatic change in stance of either the PH or the channel.

      Delete
    2. I didn't follow Geet, but there was a lot of hysteria when KSG left DMG as well, and also when Rati Pandey was killed in MJHT. Both were brought back after a few months, but their respective show's days were numbered after they came back. I think with all the hoopla, the makers lost complete interest and it becomes counter-productive. Especially for the actor concerned.

KSG still kept his bridges intact with his old PH - Nissar was the architect of DMG, and he is a very good actor, so he's found a job with his old team. But you can bet it's on their terms, and he won't dare to make any unreasonable demands this time around - he's tried his hand at films, failed and come back quietly.

Rati is out in the cold - she's got a third rate show on Zee. Even her old fans have stopped watching her.

Which is why I feel bad for Barun - his stupid fans are making matters worse for him - soon the channel is going to decide no actor is worth this trouble, and they will wash their hands off him. Till now they were on his side, and if he had been allowed to leave quietly keeping his dignity intact, the way the poor guy was trying to do, SP would have signed him on the moment he was free from his contract with the PH. Now it's getting too murky. They'll bring him back for two months, PH has already lost interest, the show will wind up, the fans will be very happy that they 'won' ... and Barun will find it very difficult to get another PH to touch him. And it will definitely not be with Sanaya. So the whole purpose of this exercise will be lost.

      Delete
    3. Oh dear...hysteria is the right word, it looks pretty manic to me right now.....this is pretty grim picture of the situation....so, at the end of the day, PH has shows on two other channels which means they don't get badly affected by the ongoing events while Barun is likely to meet Rati's fate?

I find this whole thing rather sad as they had enough story advertised in their promos to show a gripping tale for a good 1-2 years .... why do these guys choose to self-destruct? Just because they have another new show on air does not seem justifiable to me. As a production house, they should be able to have quite a few shows on air and be able to do justice to all.

They had a segment last week on Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, where she interviewed Naseeruddin Shah, Kundan Shah and Satish Kaushik ... a simply hilarious segment where the three recalled their days while making the movie. Such a pleasure to watch three intelligent and articulate people discuss their struggling days with so much humor and nostalgia, especially NS, who is a joy to watch on screen!

They also showed a segment of the Mahabharat scene ... it cracks me up each and every time I watch it. I think you can watch the segment online. Well worth a watch.

    2. Four NS-SA starrers, all so different, all played so brilliantly by the two actors ...

Masoom - they play an upper middle class well off couple, with this sudden emotional upheaval in their lives. The dressing, the body language, the way of talking ...

Paar - they play a menial class couple, struggling to get across a river. I forget the entire story but one scene that stands out in my memory is the scene when SA squats on the ground in tiredness ... her body language was just superb ... an labourer woman to the core. And their way of talking, the dialect, the interactions between the couple ... the sheer contrast to Masoom is just incredible.

Mandi - a story set in a brothel, SA played the madam of the brothel and NS played a lame flunky. You have to see the movie to believe the characterization and the way they acted, the body language ... SA put Smita Patil in the shade in this one.

Sparsh - I had a blind music teacher when I was a kid - and in NS, I could see that man SO clearly. He had all the mannerisms, that way of moving around a touch impatiently, yet sure of his movement sin his own environment, changing to sudden discomfort and uncertainty every time he was in an unfamiliar zone ... absolutely brilliant!

I think these four movies show the fantastic range of the actors - they are par excellence!

      Delete
    3. Yes, Dia...in fact paar was so pathos ridden...eveni don't remember the entire story but remember being moved by their plight in that scene..SA is a class apart...her first movie Ankur...fantastic and to imagine she was working to be a female lead in BW and such a different beinning...
Shall i add some of my NS fav to this list:

Katha: set in Maharashtrian mileu...a humorous love story...a must watch for all NS fans but even Faroque Shaikh/DN was excellent
Pestonjee : watch it for the nuances that he brings to the parsi character

actually there are many movies that he has made powerful contributions whether the lead or not...
manthan, bhavani bhavai, mirch masala, bhumika, woh saat din (as the doctor..excellent role), umrao jaan, trikaal (bit slow but a nice watch...loved it for Nikhil Bhagat ( i had a huge crush on him then and watched Hip Hip Hurray and Trikaal for him...he sunk without a trace after that LOL)and the ever gracious Leela Naidu

    1. hey misha....
in fact, i missed ur comment earlie and only saw Dia's comment and it was only after i saw J's post that i realised we were talkinmg about Lizy Bennet's diaries...and went on to check it....

P&P was in fact the first romance story that i ever read...so much so that when there was a pale imitation/adaptation of that on doordarshan bythe name Trishna....i have waited and waited to watch the episode which used to air on TV every sunday and adding to those woes were the power outage that used to occur quite predictably on those timings only...
i am talking of a time long gone by....Tarun Dhanrajgir was Mr Darcy and the Lizzy was played by Sangeeta Handa ( ofc with diff names...rekha and for the life of me, i can;t remember the guy's name in the serial, incidentally Kitu Gidwani played the role of Lydia in the serial)
ofc have always made it a point to watch anything remotely connected with P&P, pale or good imitations of the original...such was the impact of the original....

    2. Rekha,

I have got 'Trishna' all episodes taped on a video cassette. I have to get t converted to cd as my VCR refuses to work anymore. I used t be crazy about it and taped it many years back. Wow, it was great to hear you talking about it. Sigh.

    3. wow.....wow......Usha, was wondering if anybody had it....gud for u!!

so many old adolescent memories...talking of all crushes..we used to discuss the serial then...ofc not to this level....in any case...we used to drool over Tarun but aisi technology bhi nahin thi ki...thank heavens for small mercies...

      well...it means mujhe woh bimari..

the more some things change, the more they remain the same LOL

  13. Rekha, the only name i recognized was Kitu Gidwani... :P
P&P was first Austen book....and it has inspired so many other works as well! Arnav-Khushi are in many ways similar to Darcy-Elizabeth...

    1. Misha,
the others sank without a trace....this was long ago...may be 86-87 i don'even remember that well...but as i said, having read P&P then, i was then looking at every damn opportunity to make those characters come alive on screen...
Tarun Dhanrajgir was a model and very gud looking one at that...and ofc his current images don't do any justice to how he looked then.. i tried to look for old images but i didn;t get any....Sangeeta Handa, had the look of Lizzy that i had read which i could easily transpose onto her...all adolescence ke kuch kisse..
to start with yes IPK defi gave that sense..esp in the GH episode....i could feel that but they later they butchered Khushi's character and i never got that feeling ever again...and honestly, i wasn't even looking for it...i saw IPK as a diff love story...

    2. Tarun Dhanrajgir was VERY good looking - he was one of my earliest crushes, I think! I must have been a kid at that time. Sangeeta Handa I remember because she was the daughter of a colleague of my dad's ... I never met her, she was obviously too old and too busy for us kids!

    3. Dia...Hey HI5 on that....

    4. Dia, like you I too had a crush on Tarun when I was a school kid. My other crushes were Benjamin Gilani and Shekar Kapur. My favourite Darcy, though, was Collin Firth.

    5. Opti,
I loved Shekhar kapur as the IAS officer in udaan. Sigh. Do you remember that, Kavita chaudhry wanting to become an ips officer.

    6. Usha,

That's where I first saw him. Those days shows had a fixed life span and hence could be narrated well. Most had a message and Udaan was one of them. Now they have the lamp and wick show with the same theme of a girl aspiring to be an IPS officer and over a year she is still stuck in the kitchen dancing to the tunes of her dominating m-i-l.

    7. Opti, hi5! I wanted to watch lamp and wick, because I enjoy shows with working women, and they are so few and far between on Indian telly. That's why I watched DMG - they had women doctors who wanted to work! And Astitva, again about a doctor ...

But DABH has been such a huge disappointment ... first of all, the girl can't act, then her dominating m-i-l ... the husband was supposed to be supportive, and he's a total wimp ... useless!!!

    8. Opti, Dia,

I too watched dabh just for that but it is still going khushi style, round and round like a jalebi. In the beginning I put up with all the side characters in the hope that at sometime the story will catch on. But it is just too slow.

Opti, udaan was a dream and it actually was inspiring. A girl could imagine herself as Kavita chadhry. The pride when she became a police officer. It felt so good.

I used to like all th side characters of ipkknd including the ott Mami and till yesterday I have liked her characterisation. They lost an opportunity to bring out the Mami, akash story, Mami arnav story, lots of missed opportunities.

I tried to find something else to get addicted to but have not found anything. Tried seeing QH BUT it does not make me skip something else to definitely see it, like normal 4 lions shows. I liked the girl in the promos but when I actually saw her in the serial, she did not create any interest. Only asad's family, the mom, asad and sister are people who make you sit up.

The dialogues of Mami are still the best to date. Kudos to the writer.

I started seeing BV because I like sidharth Shula but the others make me fast forward.
So presently the serial watcher does not have a serial to get addicted to.

    9. I too love Mami's dialogues. She always seemed to know what to say and when and she is so witty.

I used to live in a colony where Siddharth used to live before he entered the industry. His father used to work in my organisation. After his death they shifted to Andheri. The guy is much more handsome in person than he appears on screen. All the young girls used to flip for him. His acting is improving but still a long way to go.

You should try MB for Drashti. The story is picking up and is in the falling in love stage.

I simply love Veera. I know you said it was too late for you but you should try watching it. The boy will win your heart.

I want to give Junoon a try. It comes on Life OK at 9.30.p.m. IF has given a good review for it. The same old adage of opposites attract with a twist.

  14. Opti,

I just caught up on marathon episodes of Junoon. It was good. And it still has some good actors. I enjoyed it though I fast forwarded some of the village negative characters. So I think I will follow it through next week.

Yes, I have also started following madhubala from last week. I never ever thought I would like Vivian after what I saw of him in the vampire show. But he was good. And the dialogues were amazing. I really enjoyed it. What has not changed is DD's clothes.

I had been addicted to the 1000 sisters show but stopped seeing that some time ago. Now I too am following madhubala.
