Namoona 1 ... Sam the trainer. After my rather strenuous yoga session today, I had to laugh at Sam's training. Not to mention his clothes.
Namoona 2- Kamlesh Khabri. OMG, the man does something other than OTT bhavishyvanis also? Family scene ... an obvious filler, fun to watch.
Namoona 3 - Vikrant ... now what is he up to?
Natasha likes samosas, and Khushi has found a kindred spirit ... so she will turn out to be the outer bitch, inner heart of gold .. while Amrita will turn out to be the opposite.
Arnav needling Khushi ... and cancelling her jalebis ... hilarious! Khushi's indignation and spontaneous 'What the!' ... even more so! And her annoyance when he flirted with Natasha ... damn cute! Amrita's annoyance and envy when Arnav flirted with Natasha ... hmm, the inner vamp emerging.

my prediction for tomorrow..Vikrant Khushi ke saath battameezi karega...enter ASR..a very angry ASR..and PPPHHHAAATTTTAAAAKKKK..."no one lays a hand on my wife" type of dialogue (Khushi maaregi toh bhi i dont mind!!)..
and the truth is out..an angry ASR drags Khushi away..driving..accident..ASR gaya aur Khushi behosh!!!

Deletethe PH is stil doing only damage control, trying to prolong the story for as long as necessary and then wrap up. i dont see much resolve in it, they are masters in butchering! it is their forte after all and thats what they are doing now and will continue to do so
i guess...the event in a indian diaspora scenario does the work of introducing the favorite screen characters to audiences...and supposedly they pay some obscene amts for this dekko...there may be some song and dance routines...

The vikrant guy is not an extra. I can't remember which serial he came in but it was a proper villain role in a proper famous serial. So he is definitely not there for just. 2 episodes.

ReplyDeleteIn continuation with y'days post my strongest SHIDDAT to khushi never remarrying and donning the mantle of ASR, the head of R family, gets Anjali settled, brings up Aarav and most importantly I want khushi to retain all of he jhalliness. i want her to be spirited and filled with zest for the sake of her family.
i want her to handle her loss the same way she has handled the loss of her parents. the message being, Khushi is as strong as ever, the only person with whom she was ever vulnerable was Arnav and now with him gone, her right to being weak and vulnerable was taken away. she puts on the mask of sunny smiles and takes on life with the same spirit as she has done all along. tough pivately she is completely broken down, but she has her memories, her family to sustain her.... if at the end barun does decide to come back... then we'll have our happily ever after!

actually my worries about star-crossed stories is always about that...they kill u with the ending...much as i loved QSQT, the end always depresses me...esp when i think of the"akele hain toh kya gham hain" and the music lilting enuf to tell us of the end...my childhood friend and i cried buckets after watching that movie...we were silly girls and ofc i should have been far mature abot fictional tales....and thot i was beyond all this..but heck...the feeling is the same even today about QSQT and now IPK.....*weepy face*

Krish, I agree ... shiddat to that ... but only with the following provisos ... either the show wraps up within a couple of months, with an epilogue of Khushi handing over AR to a grown up Arav after X number of years and dying to join Arnav ...

Yep, Krish, I had the same thought ... why so many extras ... if ASR is going to die,this contest is obviously not going to take place.
DeleteBut then I thought ... they have to do something with more people, because main cast is so limited in number now, and today I realised that even the family scenes can't take up much screen space without Khushi ... the rest can manage about five minutes between them. SO by getting all these extras, they can stretch the contest scenes some more, without burdening Sanaya so much ... she just has to be there, and not do too much.
Plus they also need filler time for the SPL UK trip.
khushi is the the most indispensable character in the show. you can do away with ASR for 40 days, but not one day wihtout khushi. still, khushi is the one character that has been most inconsistent... i wonder why... even a filler scene fizzles out without her.

in fact, we have been saying this for such a long time.. the supporting actors need supporting roles, that take the story forward.. not those type of roles that seem like they are extras too! that must be the main reason AD and DP left..

Deletei absolutely agree a channel cannot be expected to take decisions based on an actor's quitting...which is why Suz Ghai made that remark of character being bigger than actor....they wouldn't be the leaders without some bus sense..
ok, i am opening a can of worms here but this SPL event is really at the centre of it...else the channel could have just nipped all this in the bud long ago....
In a way, i have to admit, the channel has played it really smart here by allowing news of BS quitting to be out (the first confirmation came thru ABP news) and their inability to retain him before the event so that no one can accuse them of keeping their fans in their dark....anyways after event it will be BAU for the channel.
lets face it....after booking an event in advance, what were the options....i am not even going to the ethical aspect of it...becos that is another issue....
The fact of the matter is the event may be one thing but for the fans across, ARHI and SARUN have a diff connect...which ch is aware but is perhaps not able to prevail in the circumstances....in respect of the working relationship btw Gul and BS and on the other level PH and ch themselves.....this is my conjecture and i am equally surprised at the level of drama in this
ch has, i guess tasted huge success thru IPK and would obviously want to continue with the leg-in they have got into the door..(read international aud)I wonder what their plans are...becos BS can be a part of that strategy but it has to be a lot bigger than just one actor....who may or may be part of their bigger plans for this sector...ofc can't expect fans understand all this!!!

Deleteaarav is not ASR and sheetal's son. he is an orphan, adopted by sheetal on false premises. she trained aarav to act like arnav and even told the child that she is his mom and ASR is his dad. he told him ASR abandoned them and to be reclaimed he has to act like ASR.
sheetal was bankrupt and to make some quick bucks, she hatched this plan. (please dnt ask any logical qns, i dnt have answers for them) the plan was to introduce a son into R' family as hers and ASRs and to solve al her money related troubles (much like everybody in the show, but thats just me saying) by sponging off ASR.
in a matter of half a day (on the day of farewell for Payaash, mite i add) ASR finds proof against sheetal. he calls up all the evidences against her and shows her true colours.
the only part not understood by him was, abt the DNA test which showed a positive result. sheetal said she switched aarav's samples with arnav, meaning both were his sapmles and hence they matched.
sheetal was escorted by police for fraud and bankruptcy, but befoe going she was slapped by khushi.
aarav has been adopted by A and K. and yes, i share you disappointments too :(

Deletekrish , that’s the main reason i quit watching it. for me ASR or Khushi walking out with anyone else was killing the love story which i so fell in love ... infarct it was would have been the end of any star crossed love story for me.. when you get the two ppl so much in love with your story, plots, chemistry, passion, screenplay and most important the dialogs’ you make you a part of it, then you ruin everything by getting so so stupid that it just destroy everything so beautifully created is something I never wanted to see, hence i completely abstained from IPK not even written updates or even the blogs or interviews.. I did not want the ARshi i fell in love to be destroyed in front of my eyes .. I wanted to stay in SKD with Arshi married happily ever after ...
DeleteBut the love for this characters and actors just brought me back to just watch the last few episodes of the person who made me fall in love with ASR and Arhi .. for me without Barun there isn't ASR... and no Arhi ..
Hence I hope the last 2 episodes will have good doses of arhi and the characters kept intact !!!

DeleteI too am watching the telugu version of IPK. Nainital trip is going on and today and tomorrow would be treat for ArShi. Earlier I used to be so put off with the dubbed ASR's voice but now I look at them even with the dubbed voice to see the sheer chemistry this show created. Kash ki this serial ka itna bura ending na hota. I am going to watch till the marriage and I hate you track. I would probably skip once the kidnapping starts and then the di drama and dadi drama.

Till then it is Khushi's story- I will miss Barun, no doubt about that.
I think I can bear to watch it as a filler serial with Sanaya in it until IPK season 2 returns with Arhi.

And showing Viraf as the guy who helps Khushi through the intervening four years, and ultimately pairing up with Anjali. Has the advantage of being able to stretch the story for as long as the TRP's sustain, and wrap up with Arnav Khushi. I really hope they do that ... but for that BS has to agree to come back for the wrap up. So far he seems to have stayed firm on the decision to leave.

Anita, me too ... I was actually in tears reading the first part :((( I really wish we could see something like this on screen, but I highly doubt the fans will allow the show to go on for long enough to see it.
DeleteBS seems adamant ... and I think unless Viraf pulls off a major miracle, the show will go off air within the next 2-3 months. I just hope Sanaya comes back after a quick break ... if she is SP employee, we will see her back on screen in something or the other for sure.
About BS, I really don't know - he seems adamant about his break, he MUST have his reasons for being so adamant, nobody walks away from such a successful innings without very good reason.

DeleteThese FF's are better than the show in terms of story-telling ... but then the written word always has the advantage in terms of being able to tell the hidden emotions ... the one I'm reading has loads of Arnav Khushi, which would have been difficult to translate on screen - again the problem of needing to give space to side characters because of too much load on the main two.
Not related to IPK...i was very happy to see Mrinal Kulkarni on screen ( i was seeing after a long time) a delicate beauty and wonderful Marathi actress...
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with Khamoshiyaan cast ensemble...some really gud names whose work i have seen in the past....it will be interesting to see how the young leads manage to hold their own in the face of some seriously good acting from the other big names in the cast....as of now the focus is on Gauri...wonder if Mohit has a gud role to play here...i have not seen him act...so i have no idea..girl is just about passable..early days tho....
Ah yes, I was trying to remember her name ... I've seen her earlier too, a very good actress. I too like the Khamoshiyan ensemble cast, they have some very good names and known faces. I think they will have a big part to play in the drama, they are all seasoned actors.
DeleteThe girl playing Gauri is just about okay as of now, and I really did not like the second guy, Garv ... Mohit is an adequate to decent actor, not brilliant ... the way it looks, I don't think his role will be very demanding. And so far am not impressed with the chemistry between either Siddharth-Gauri or Garv-Gauri - of course, far too early for the second one yet.
I think the older actors will carry the show. If they have a decent storyline in place, it will be watchable.

DeleteSame pinch. I was so delighted to see Mrinal kulkarni and she was looking so delicate. Beautiful. The elder cast ensemble is really stunning and all the youngsters have a tough act to follow.

Khamoshi has got both material and talent , just hope they use it well .. for the cast assemble its excellent , season actors agreeing is real deal - means the story has dham ( ofcourse that's my assumption and hope they deliver it on screen )
Dia me too not impressed with the chemistry at this point , but then its too early to say or may be I have been comparing them with Monaya chemistry!!
Mohit being good actor, the role fits him well, he being a person, who takes time and conviction to get into the role - so I will give him time , just hope that they do him justice , I really don't want Akshay Dongra part2 here ...
The major let down for me is Mohit’s look! I personally don't like him with short hair! makes him not matured but weird, even in MJHT2 the short hair was a major let down for me since i used to find his style letting him down completely .. ( I don't know how to explain this ) If any of u guys had followed MJHT during the nupur-mayank wedding track his look he had that maturity, serious attitude as well as the naughtiness at times that required .. or take the Meri Chashmish scene in season 2 it had the - class of dressing as well as the maturity that's the look I was expecting , so at present it only mohit's style- that's a down side of this show for me ..
haven't been able to watch regularly but hope the story picks up by end of next month when I will be able to watch it everyday..

DeleteIs Khamoshiyaan a love story.....i haven't read any write-up...the only thing,so far i have seen they have taken some pains to get the realism on to the sets...imagine having shot in UK for just a few days...they seemed to have managed pretty well...have canned the necessary shots well...recreated a set for UK home pretty well...
even the kolhapur parts seems fine...
But i wonder what will be Mohit's role,obviously he has to come to India to support his fiancee...so i guess there will be something for him do as well...else it will be a pity...why does Star make all their heroines some "DIY" people....even our ASR was able to hold on his own only becos of the image he cultivated not really any real work he did...paavam...i just can't accept that its all coming to an end...never feltthis strange before....*sigh*
if you are the type who reads fanfiction, i urge you to read Colors of the Wind by meera. it is a completed story,and takes you through a journey of flashbacks.. 100% good read.

It is sad.....IPKKND had so much to offer...or was it only us viewers who saw the potential? Producers were pretty much done with the story line a long time ago.... :( .... Ah well, it was a beautiful journey with ARHI.
NEVER knew how much I loved BS until I realised its his last day shooting today.. :((( I am watching att the episodes except ArHi scenes half heartedly these days, because AD is busy and also coz the news of BS leaving has kind of shut me off IPK...
ReplyDeleteReally sorry, but after today's last rabba vey, I simply CANNOT accept anybody else as ASR/Arnav... for that matter I can even accept khushi walking down the sunset with another guy but not another face as arnav.. its true that character is larger than an actor, but for me, ArHi was and will ALWAYS be SaRun... there's nobody that can replace them...nobody.. :(
CVs are MEAN...if they are indeed replacing BS by Viraf they shouldn't shoot such amazing scenes..and WT* is it with BS? why has he started looking all well groomed and interested in acting again??? :((( not making it any easy...
