No Diwali 360 ... damn the creatives!
Such magical Jadoo Hai Nasha Hai episodes of last year ... and this year - half an episode! The cv's have obviously lost complete interest in the show!
Gift giving for the family ... a bedroom makeover for Arav ...
A rather interesting debate between Arnav and Khushi, again Khushi giving the more sensible advice, which surprised me ... thought Arnav would be the pragmatic, careful father, and Khushi the more pampering mother ... but then Arnav has always believed in money buys everything, and Khushi believing in the personal touch. Thought that jab about crackers and sweets was rather uncalled for ...
And the debate turns into a 360 of their old challenges ... about dil vs dimaag, this time in the importance of earning ... and running a business ...
Can we please do WITHOUT the Kamlesh Khabris and Ramesh Khabris ... they always indicate an OTT Khushi!
Rest of the episode was pretty much satyanash ... seems more and more clear that the cv's are just not interested any more!

Diwali celebrations ... after the magic-filled Jadoo Hai Nasha Hai episodes of last year. I was wondering how the cv's would do a Diwali 360 ...
The answer ... they didn't even try.
A quick aarti ... a sulking Arav ... still sulking after being denied laddoos? And a glowering Arnav ...
Gift time ... Arnav has gifts for the family ... shawl for Nani, sari for Mami, movies for NK, something for Anjali ... and a framed photograph of Khushi from the calendar shoot of last year for Khushi.
The first time Arnav saw Khushi not as an opportunistic gold-digger, but as a stunningly beautiful girl-woman he couldn't take his eyes off ...
the first time he was attracted to her so violently that he promptly sent her out in the rain as punishment, almost causing her to be run over by a car ... the first time he saved her ... starting a habit of sorts, of putting her into a mess and then saving her from it.
But of course, we don't have time for all this sentimental rubbish, for a 360 of how their journey started ... for some flashbacks to remind us of the magic that has hooked us to this show for the last eighteen months ...
Yes, cv's, thank you, we get the message. The only 360's we will get are the fighting and aukat ones. Good thing too ... to wean us off the magic of Arshi ... Should we be grateful to you for that?
So Khushi accepts the gift happily ... must say, Arnav got away very easy - a framed photograph of herself as a Diwali gift? Not even of them as a couple? And she likes it?!
And she asks what Arnav got for Arav. Arnav pretends he got nothing ... Arav's face crumples ... he was waiting only for Arnav's gift ... so Arnav sends him to his room, and everyone is worried that after Arav's recent rude behaviour, Arnav is going to blast him. Khushi goes to save Arav from the worst ... she is used to Arnav's anger by now, so she can take it.
Only to find that Arnav isn't angry at all ... Arav's room has been given a complete makeover, complete with basketball hoop, bike and everything a little boy could want. And Arav gets over his sulks immediately ... his dad is the best.
Khushi is happy ... then a little disturbed. And Arnav doesn't help matters by throwing a snide remark at her ... crackers and sweets are not necessary to make a child happy, he needs expensive toys and games.
Not good, Arnav ... not in front of the child, please. Basic rule of being a parent.
A debate on parenting ... a topic for which there are no manuals, no right or wrong ... just different opinions. The good thing was that Arnav and Khushi waited to be alone in their room to start this.
Arnav wanted to make Arav feel at home ... an environment very different from the orphanage he grew up in ... he wanted to make the child comfortable and happy, after the laddoo incident of earlier ... for which Arav was still sulking. And spending money was not an issue, he has enough and more, so why can't he give Arav everything the child needs and wants, if it makes him happy? As long as he is there, he can and he will. Money is not the issue, making Arav feel at home is more important.

Khushi wanted to make Arav realise that living in a family means certain rules, certain limitations, certain expectations of behaviour ... the norms the family follows, Arav has to follow as well. As for money, she's grown up in tight financial conditions, and wants Arav to learn the value of money, as well as the necessity for good behaviour. With his recent rudeness, she doesn't feel he should have been rewarded at all.Definitely not to this extent.
Arnav says he will do the same again. He'll give him everything he wants.
Khushi wants Arav to learn that he has to behave properly ... not that he will be given everything he demands.
Arnav says he will take all the decisions about money and spending.
Khushi sees red ... just because she doesn't earn, does that mean she has no say in how money is spent?
And the argument goes into a tangent ... Khushi insists she can earn money, in fact she did with her dabba service ... and she can again. And Arnav tells her she can't. And he's a bit superior about it too. Khushi flies off the handle again ... she helped him earlier in his work ... twice.
Arnav never likes looking small ... he loses his temper too ... you need money ... and to earn that money, you need akal, himmat and confidence to face the world ... which you don't have.
Challenge 360.
Next morning Khushi still annoyed, tries to imitate ASR atttiude in household matters ... not working. She has to think of something else to prove her point and stand on her own feet.
Uh oh ... Khabri brothers surface again ... heralding OTT Khushi
And Khushi then follows Khabri's instructions to buy milk ... more *head desk* ... the girl who's run her own dabba service, who's helped in running her father's sweet shop for years, done her foray into making sweets on her own, who is a great cook, decides to buy 10 lts of milk to get a discount?
It's not Khushi who's lost her brains, it's whoever has written this scene
But why am not surprised ... I did predict just this ... if the cv's have truly lost interest in the show, then they have managed to get three actors to resign, the fourth one did and withdrew her resignation ... and now the last person standing ... the female lead, because she can't leave or be pushed into quitting, has to be dumbed down and shown as stupid and OTT as possible ...
Breakfast ... Arnav faced with a silent still-annoyed Khushi, belatedly feels bad, that he said too much ... and being the great dimaag that he is, decides the best way to make up to Khushi is by making her jealous, and hoping she will follow him to office ... where he can take her out and make it up to her.
I know, it doesn't make sense.
Maybe he was hoping for a repeat of the farmhouse bachelor party? So are we all.
Khushi does land up at office ... only to play business-business.
The track seems to be about Khushi becoming independent ... maybe we will know more only after Barun actually leaves. Till then, the show is just marking time. Maybe after that, it will become clear whether it is still just marking time, or actually trying to survive.

The gifts are opened...
Khushi gives gifts to everyone and then asks Arnav about his gifts for the family.WT? now gifts are also individual kya?
Arnav gives some aivyi tavi gifts to everyone and Khushi asks for hers and she gets a photo frame (with the photo of Khushi frm the photo shoot...one major loop closure..i always wondered if Arnav ever looked at that photo again...u can't imagine my unbridled joy on seein that loop closure...since they went that far....i am hopeful..
Arnav's gift for Aarav is under some suspense..he takes him to his room and then lo and behold there is a makeover....of Aarav's room...
everyone is happy including Khushi before she realises that Arnav has done this to placate Aarav...an argument ensues...
Actually the argument is interesting...if u want to see some deep meaning here!!
Arnav believes that Aarav should not want for anything until he is there and so he says he will only looking to make him comfortable
Khushi and he argue about needs and wants and luxuries but soon it becomes a matter of how decisions about money are taken...it was an interesting scene if u look at how matters get out of hand...
for me it was clear ulta decode of how the whole "I am quitting" debate has gone..
Then on to the Kamlesh Kabri's brother Ramesh Kabri for inspiration to K on how to become a better businessman than ASR
Some scenes later..at breakfast, Arnav realises that he had been rude to K and so he decides to make it up to K in a way she will like or respond.
He makes a call to a female colleague complimenting her for her gud work...and is surprised that K does not react in a jealous manner
However in the next scene, she lands up in his office intending to take him up on the challenge..some scenes ensue in he off and precap shows Arnav apologisin and Khushi not relenting...
actually it was not a bad episode...just that i can't anymore see too much meaning in it anymore...its i guess to prepare for the exit of BS..thats all...they are choosin to do it in this way

DeleteI read the LU and everybody were saying it was OTT. I watched it and gasp! actually enjoyed it. Perhaps it is because I only recently caught up on a year and half worth of episodes in weeks. I have a feeling it is setting the stage for KKGSR to restart her dabba service. Hopefully the story will go somewhere from today.

DeleteIn fact the Arnav-Khushi argument was interesting...it had flashes of the old Khushi and old Arnav....I always that this to be a wonderful aspect to be resolved in a track at some stage...money and what it means to people...
never thot it would be done in a scenario like that....
I thot the argument got out of hand...for K to react in that fashion and for Arnav to react in that fashion...seemed characteristic yet out of place for a strange reason...can't put my finger to it right now...
To me, it seemed that Khushi was putting words in Arnav's mouth in this argument..
may be because we have gown accustomed to arnav being sensitive to khushi, we probaby never imagined there would stil be an argument over money...

The argument was important in my eyes as it brought out two valid parenting methods. One may take ASR to be sensitive to a little boy adjusting in a new home while Khushi made it out as a way to placate a little boy after a tantrum. The point about money being raised in the argument was significant as Khushi has always felt the need to insulate herself from debt. To be reminded of financial decisions being beyond her purview reminded her of her place yet again. While the sanka devi avatar was ok, I really do hope they go back to the underlying argument and underscore the need for financial independence. Am looking at aarav as just a catalyst in this track.

Deleteactually if u see the epi..to me it looked as if Khushi was saying a few things (altho there was sense in many things that she said)to get a rise out of ASR...ASR did not look like he was aiming to pull her down but the words did find the mark...and he got mean to her in the end.
Arnav and K have a diff attitudes to money..but we have always known that..just did not expect the clashes to be about independence

DeleteNK, the parenting method - argument seems valid.. even before he lost his parents, arnav always was from a wealthy background.. so it must be normal for him to try to welcome the little boy into his family with his own personalised room.. and obviously, teaching khushi that way of living is a far off dream.

There is no continuity especially for people who watch it regularly, daily, addictively and with wonderful memories.
My son saw it randomly today and was actually laughing at khushi's antics, even the Kabhri guy :-(

My heart goes out to San today..I wish she had the freedom to pursue her real wishes...if its to remain here...i am happy for her in that case too...finally one must have peace of mind in whatever one pursues...
DeleteRekha, remember how when he gets those photos from that photographer, how he keeps gazing at it. He should have said something about that day. Otherwise why give that photo. Just give a thermocol packed box without anything in it like they usually do.
Krishna, see it if ou can in fast forward. It had its moments.that seems to be my favourite phrase since yesterday. I saw jab tak hai jaan yesterday and when a friend asked for the review, told her see it, it had its moments. :-)))))
Rekha, a normal viewer who sees only 3 episodes in a week randomly like we see other serials, will not remember about continuity and will just laugh and forget about the whole episode at 8.31 pm.
well.. at least he could have gifted a framed couple foto.. or a blown up poster of that photoshoot.. because, seeing that photo today, i SO wanted that pic to be the backdrop wall of their room..

About time Sanaya threw her weight around - she has behaved very professionally, gave a very convincing performance of all the OTT crap dished out to her, carried the serial on her shoulders alone during BS absence - it's high time that she got recognition for it! & if she doesn't, then this is the attitude required (God, am I beginning to sound like Ramesh Khabri??? sheesh!)
DeletePerhaps Lavanya/Sana Khan was the luckiest of the lot. She had a well etched role to play and her exit took place at the height of IPKKND's popularity.
Hope this serial wraps up soon too and wish all the actors in it better roles and a prosperous future.
Aki, I'm sure Sanaya will emerge with flying colors ... she has been the epitome of professionalism and dignity all through. Has kept her mouth shut and not leaked anything to anyone, there was just one story about her in all this time, that too seemed fabricated.

to me the written update was enuf to prove my initial assessment of BS wanting to move out for his personal reasons and Gul thrilled at the opportunity becos she was anyway looking for a way out.....becos one of the reasons i well accept is that without BS/ASR, the serial would not have been what it was meant to be.
However, what is beyond my comprehension is
why was a producer of a popular serial looking to kill the love story of ARHI with the Sheetal and Arnav sunset track? a love story that had caught the imagination of the viewers around the world...and that very love story sought to being killed in an uncharacteristic fashion...
it cannot be becos BS was walking out...
it cannot be becos SP wanted the PH to continue wth the serial...
it had to be becos she wanted to hit back with the one thing that they knew would cause the fans to rise in protest....The logical end the PH desires....end the serial....
I feel the bigger issue is about the means to the end...I am fascinated abut who has used whom, who set to use whom and what has happened in the end?
Agreed Rekha that the scripted interview between BS and GK made absolute no sense other than a lame attempt at damage control (was it demanded by a higher authority? Take a look at their body language). Whatever the case may be, I don't understand the logic of butchering a serial which actually HAD A STORY LINE - if it had been handled properly, it had enough meat in there to run for a year or even two, without losing steam. They had a really good team and could have easily run a number of parallel tracks without losing the viewers' interest. Surely a good business model for any PH would be to have popular shows running simultaneously for some time, thus providing them with a regular cash flow stream as they look to introduce new ones - why kill your 'own baby'? To make for another one? I am lost with that kind of logic...
DeleteRegarding Rekha's news of Sanaya having put in her papers also, I sincerely hope it is true. Sorry Dia, but the unfortunate truth is that people like Sanaya usually end up getting the short end of the stick. She has put up with a lot and if she keeps quiet now, it is unlikely that she will be "rewarded" by PH/SP as she so rightly deserves. Add to it the fact that Sanaya is on the wrong side of 20 and an actress' shelf life is short, no matter how good she is. I do hope I am wrong in this instance and that further success awaits her around the corner.

The Q were scripted, ofc, but the responses were pretty much spontaneous- Gul caught off guard with Barun mentioning that little shock during shooting (it did not fit in with the Q at all, hence she was a little surprised), and also that comment on Dogra SAYING gUL SHOULD HAPPEN TO EVERY ONE- i FEEL THEY WERE BOTH CUTE- FEEL LIKE HUGGING THESE TWO GREAT PEOPLE...NOW ONLY IF bARUN COULD UNDERSTAND WHY HE IS SO SPECIAL! (Oops, caps came on by mistake)
I always thought GUL SHOULD NOT COME OUT WITH ANY EXPLANATION (caps intended)for the very same reason- she will be misinterpreted no matter what she says. If you hate someone, everything that person does turns out to be wrong- the same thing happened to DB.
I have seen this happen to many people around me- the moment I feel someone has misunderstood me, and does not seem inclined to have a big heart to forgive me, I keep my mouth shut. Because I have seen it happen to others around me- you can explain your side once or twice, if the other person is not forgiving after that. there is no point trying to convince them. Why waste your breath? Life goes on for both parties. Ofc, this is just my personal view.

Yeah, I was really pissed off with Gul and Barun yesterday, because I felt they were both forgetting Sanaya in the interview. IDIOTS! She is the one person who holds the show together- the one who covers up for deficiencies in the script and Barun's absence.
The fact remains that I remain neutral. (Actually I like all three, so I am very positive about the show still. I just forgive the two idiots- the script or the creative team and the male lead because I understand they make mistakes as human beings. San- she is an angel, cannot compare the two lovable idiots with her.)
IPKKND sirf teen cheezon se chalta hai. Previously,

NOW it is 1. Sanaya 2. Sanaya 3. sanaya
(The script needs Sanaya to pull it off, high time gulbul started singing praises of this angel!)
Aki, I am also lost with that logic of Gul wanting to kill her own baby ... that's why I say that Barun wanting to leave has something to do with that decision in the first place. Maybe his first movie leave knocked her story for a six, maybe she was then pressured by SP to keep him on and change the story to accommodate him so she got annoyed ... maybe then he came back and two months later wanted more leave for his movie promotions, and she felt that this would happen again and again ... so better to pull the plug on the show.
DeleteAnd maybe it's just as Opti said ... they have the creativity of the idea,but not the imagination to carry it forward. Having said that, the idea is the same ... only the environments have changed from Geet to IPK to QH.
So the creativity is how the same idea is translated onto screen differently every time ... hence the actors and their capabilities have a great deal to do with it.
I also hoped Sanaya has put in her papers, but like I said, I think she actually cannot. As Anon has also said below. So now I'm hoping the show just winds up. No other way for her to get out of the mess. Since Gul is hell-bent on destroying her own characters.

Barun still did ... but basically the iv was all about Gul getting Barun to deny all the rumors about her forcing him to leave, so they concentrated on that. And again, that's where I also saw red ... Gul going ON AND ON about how she waited for Barun, changed the story so much for him, Barun how tired he was shooting for both movie and show simultaneously ... and NOT A WORD about the fact that Sanaya also had to work her butt off because HE wanted to do his movie!
It was all about Gul and Barun and ASR ... and that's why I want the show to end now!

1)Gul had to make changes to her story due to BS...now she would ideally not want BS at this stage dictating terms to her when she has other bandwidth issues..so she is doing work that does not tax her beyond that point, why add BS to the jhamela and complicate it?
2)BS - obviously what he has to lose seems more that what he could have gained by staying on esp with even SP wanting him to stay on....anyways he would have been a total misfit in SP side shows...doesn't have the talent for glib-talk or spontaneous banter..looks more like a actor for niche audiences...not a big canvas..
3) SP channel has a decent revenue earning model, when something ain't broke, why fix it?
This is an case of survival of the fittest..the weaker ones will fall by the wayside...
Too much off screen drama today ... I just could not enjoy the episode. I felt the argument started off well, then got lost. Once Khabri appeared, I knew what was coming, and sure enough it did.

The point of the track: Is not Aarav, I feel. It is not about parenting either. It is just a means to get Arhi to fight- quite a convoluted mind these shatir CVs have. And probably to get Khushi to adjust to her hubby's world. See, she learned an impoortant lesson today- if you cannot join them confuse them. ha ha ha.
I liked the epi because I could whole heartedly laugh. And Barun- though looking like an insomniac, is giving his best. We will miss your smirks, sweetheart.
And MM is back with a bang. I felt the creative team is just not willing to give up, regardless of whether this baby is an orphan or not , they want to save this baby.
And Gul, I don't think wants to kill her baby- she is a mighty confused mother, probably. Or an absent mother- for a long time now. I don't think she is even around any more.Has her hands full with QH.

I am not sure abt current track and i dont think they will execute it until BS is moved from the show , they will not write it . They are showing khushi thinking of being independent at the moment .Whatever is the new track , we will get to watch once SI returns from UK trip.
Rumours of SI quitting , she has no say on anything until her contract period is with the channel, its SP who makes decision for her and she has to do all the assignments given to her from channel.SI is employee of SP .

And it must be frustrating to not be allowed tell the story the way you want it to be told.
I feel IPKKND is like parallel cinema (though it is not perfect, the writer has his off days). But by and large, it is for the thinking people. Sanaya and Barun took it to the masses and made it look attractive to the common man- again, hats off to the creative team because they assembled the best cast.
SP made it their baby- they went slightly overboard with Barun.
Maybe that is why the PH does not give Sanaya her due- they feel she is not their baby, but SP's?
Whereas Barun was their find, so they got excited about him.

DeleteUr point on IPK being different and meant for a audience of a diff sensibility is very true and also the fact that SARUN chemistry made it possible for it to succeed with the regular audience as well...however the fact remains that there will always be a mishmash when such attempts are made...
Considering the point about BS wanting to leave in Feb last year, and the story continuing till today in whatever form means that all parties have tried their best to work and they did give us their best in the circumstances, whether out of professionalism, need, force, constraint or whatever each of us wants to call it...
The allure of IPK is such that even while we want to accept that the gud times are over, there is still a part that is looking for answers....
Su, on ur point about PH going overboard with Barun...i would say its a case, what sells...their story was about this anti-hero and somehow it had connected with the largely female audience, as much about ASR as it was about BS..and i don't think Gul has the SP sensibilities of so called nayi soch...I have not seen this serial address that ever..She does not pretend to address it too...for her, it was a love story..plain and simple...i don't think she was looking to infuse the "nayi soch" ever
And here is where the SP sensibility and PH story telling style may have clashed...
There are some who stay or are forced to stay and have to wait till the end-of-war bugle is sounded...hope the result of this battle is favourable for the soldiers ...the unsung heroes in any war....

DeleteI don't think any one was forced to leave. Dogra left because he had nothing left to do- it was heights of joblessness. And Barun left because he could not take the hard work- the exact opposite reason of Akshay.
In fact, Dogra should be telling Barun now what a fool he is to leave such a marvellous character behind- it is a dream role for any actor. Barun considers ASR as trivial as any character he has done. But I respect him for that- an actor who cannot have a favorite with his roles- like a mother who cannot choose between her children, like Gul who cannot choose between Geet, IPK or QH- each one is special to her, I feel. Ofc, we interpret her differently.
Any way, fact remains Barun is an idiot for so many reasons, but he is a darling one at that. I am pretty sure about one thing- all of them, the ones who have left, who have stayed on are all still in good terms...the sweet Payash farewell bears testimony to this fact. And Gul will always be MUed by fandom because we don't see much of her. We see and love the actors, so we speak for them. ( The best part I like about that iv was Gul telling Barun, he should not play ASR undre any pressure- it was important that he enjoyed what he did.)
And when things go wrong, the blame has to be pinned on someone, someone has to be the dartboard- unfortunately the PH will have to get used to being just that.
And yes, I agree with all of you that they deserve it in some bits for the amateur way they handled their cast and story...still it is the most watchable show for me...does not fail to entertain.(Though my heart will break into a million pieces again when Barun leaves...)

Not wanting to be part of stardom and all that it entails is by no means a crime..Not everyone is blessed with stardom and not necessary that everyone who is blessed by it has to perceive in the similar fashion.
There are some who covet it, some who are enamored by it all the time,there are others who take it in their stride and there are still others who wouldn't be comfortable with the trappings of it becos of the price involved.
Though there may be other examples, I will give an example of two persons who have in their own way managed to live out a good part of their life in public scrutiny, very much taking their fame in their stride...
Amitabh Bachchan and MS Dhoni....its an art, it takes time, courage and fortitude and not everybody can do it...they are both in my view destiny's children...facin the gud and the bad times with aplomb, they have had their share of both...and by this i mean their public conduct largely, not who they are in their real lives (of which i have no idea)
BS cannot be compared to the guys mentioned above but i made the analogy to just draw out the point when fame comes calling, different people have different approaches to it.....
I told Padfoot the other day that BS seems to be destiny's child becos fame has come calling to him in his field of work in a rather sudden fashion and he seems to be battling with how to take this forward with least casualties....
I have just watched the rerun. Episode was ok not brilliant but not expecting much from now on. Just,waiting for Baruns departure. Did notice that he really doesn't look good. Bad hair and what is the matter with his eyes. It looked if he has been crying for hours. He defiantly does need a break, but so does Sanaya, she's been working hard to keep the show alive. It must be very difficult to carry on knowing that the show may be just marking time until the finish, or we could be pleasantly surprised with what they plan to do next. I hope for the other cast members that the latter happens. I will keep watching as I think that Sanaya needs our support after everything she has done to keep this show afloat.

Dia, posting on your blog for the very first time. Lost interest in serial long ago but yesterday was the breaking point and you know the reason why. Only happy news I think I got is that seems SI has also put down her papers. So pretty much the serial is going to end in Dec with ArShi as Barun - Sanaya. Good. There is nothing much they can show now. The PH turned the rant on forum32 as the truth. So many things could have been handled better but when the heart is not present, there is nothing much you can do. I do hope they issue a press release that Sanaya is also quitting.

ReplyDeleteIt's great to know that you guys are still rooting for the show. I have stopped watching it altogether! But I shall always visit your blog (it has become an addiction, now and a good one too I think). My sincere wish is to see Sanaya Irani in another good show in the near future. But the story of Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi will always remain close to my heart. It is an epic love story (unconventional, maybe) for me. And the credit goes to Gul Khan and her team. They did try to tell a good story most of the time. It was not perfect alright but it was a commendable effort. But I think I felt more connected to the characters only after reading your analysis. You guys really made me see the characters in a different light altogether. I wish the creative team of the show would have taken some of your ideas for laying out the future tracks.

ReplyDeleteI just saw the episode again and I enjoyed it. And I thought arnav's comments were rude. So actually completely agreed with khushi. When husbands and wives fight, the children will at some time take advantage. What khushi said was right. And here the kid has cme into the family, not born int the family and so both mother and father have t make their place. So if one parent holds the purse strings, the child will know whom to favour to get what he wants. Have seen this in real life where the father keeps running down the wife and soon enough the kids started as well knowing all their luxuries will be taken care of only by the father.
Khushi's hurt was portrayed very well by sanaya.
And I actually liked all the khushi Caricature of ASR wearing his coat. The dialogues were LOL.

I was on a call when the episode was going on yesterday, so I nly saw portions and did not hear. But my son was laughing at khushi's antics. You know whenever I criticise khushi, my son asks me, are you her boss or her mother in law.
But after seeing it fully today without fast forwarding anything, you are right, all is definitely not lost. Not bad at all.
Sheetal track was the only track which made me change channels actually. Otherwise no complaints. :-P

Actually if I remember right BS's marriage anniversary comes in December. So my take is he must have asked for some leave again because that guy did not even go on a honeymoon after marriage, just taking 2 days off for his marriage during BHPH days. So all the egos must have come forth with nobody being wrong of who made whom and who s responsible for whom. And t must have accelerated, that is my feeling. I remember reading an interview of his where he said that he and his wife discuss how things might change n the future and how they are in a sense afraid of change. It sounded just like a newly married guy on the threshold of a new career and all the insecurities which go with it especially for hm where he is so much in the limelight. That is m two cents. So his December vacation must be true. So he might not have been willing t compromise on the vacation bit. Other things must have followed from that. So they want him to quit. If the general public accepts the new guy and new track, good, they don't need him. Otherwise they can get him back for a couple of episodes while closing off. :-D
Now the only symbolism i see is ramesh khabri one with "if u can't beat them, confuse them"..i can wax "eloquent" on that..but i guess...i will spare u guys....there enuf bak bak i do as it is....why add to the misery!!

My only comment on the milkman episode was, how is 4 ltrs enough for the Raizada mansion. Shouldn't they be buying ten litres everyday given the di's penchant for making Kheer everyday. I buy 5 ltrs for my family of four. :-))

ReplyDeleteYes, SI works for SP first , all her pay slip are managed by channel . From her leaves , half-day , sick leaves or offs (an actor is given 2 days off in a month if they want to opt) , daily attendance etc should be reported to the Associated Mgr of Fiction head of SP first based on their "approval" she can go head for leave and its only as FYI to PH before hand in SI's case.
Even other offering comes to her directly like attending of awards or performing in those awards or take part in any show etc has to be reported to channel and based on their approval she can take part with them and vice versa too i.e., Channel can also send her to those events to take part if it comes to them directly and incase, if its anytime between her working hrs will all be worked out from channel first.(non-working hrs are not controlled or monitored by channel )
Whatever, channel gives her to do as assignment to its employee (for an actress ) she needs to do it . Only after her contract with channel ends , she is free to do whatever she wishes to do in her professional life.So far she is been professional to the channel without any complaints reported on her or abt her .
During this contract period , if channel gives her one more assignment along with IPK then she has to do it for the channel. Everything will be managed by channel for her .
So give rest to SI quitting rumour until SP makes it official to/abt their employees and viewers when they are associated to any show which is on air.(running )

Unlike most of the junta, I watch the show mainly for Sanaya, and especially now that it has gone down so badly, my only draw is Sanaya, otherwise I would have stopped watching ages ago. Even now, if the PH continues to massacre Khushi's character so much and make her so OTT, I will probably stop watching.

So this means that until her contract with SP ends, or unless she quits it herself, she cannot quit IPK? Essentially she is stuck, unless SP itself releases her from the show?
Secondly, if SP wishes, they can release her from IPK without releasing her from the SP contract? So if channel decides to end the show, then she still retains her position as employee with the channel? And they will likely give her the option of another show when this one ends?
I am not asking who you are ... from your reply it seems clear that you know very well what you're talking about :) However if you want to tell us, I'll be delighted. We're a very small group here and we keep things confidential, especially if asked to do so.
DeleteIts all in the hands of channel in her case. If channel decides to move her to another show or bring replacement for her in the current show or whatever they decide then they can do it to her as long as she is bound by her contract with channel.
DeleteIf the show ends before her contract then they will give her other project to do as the channel will not simply pass her cheque without making her do any work.Working hrs are counted in her case , she cant come to shoot at 2 in noon if her reporting time is @ 8 in morning , they will cut those non-working hrs from her payment. Everything will be reported to channel and channel in turn does monitors their employees.They have separate spoc who takes care of it .
For Example ,1. Jay Bhanushali is Zee's (channel ) employee . So whenever the channel is in need of him for anything they come up with planned or unplanned , they can assign him the job if they think he is suitable for it. It is not necessary , that Jay should be doing only for Zee tv but it can also be applicable to entire Zee network .(like Zee punjabi or Zee marathi etc )
2.Similarly, actress Pooja Ghor (Prathigya) is SP employee .After the show was shut down , channel moved her to other project .She is given to act in gumrah on V channel , which also belongs to "Star Network". So all this shifting of their employees from one project or channel to another works for them until their contract period.

Channel has rights to release her from this show if they want/decide but SI does not have a say here.

It would be such an unprofessional behavior from her end towards the channel which has given her the work .They can simply throw her out and end contract if something of that sort is witnessed.SP is her Boss, 4Lions or Gul has nothing to do with SI ; except to play the character khushi.

DeleteI wonder ... if SP is not releasing her, does this mean they plan to keep the show on even without Barun? Or are they just marking time till after the UK trip and the return of the TRP's? Or until something is worked out with either Barun or the PH, whoever they are negotiating with ...
All very murky ... and till then, we can give up hope of anything sensible happening on screen.
