A pretty hilarious family scene with family trying to shield Khushi at their peril ... the R family is as crazy as Khushi is! No wonder she gels so well with them!
And the furious ASR is back ... welcome, man! Didn't know how much I missed you till I saw you back on screen today!
I thought that would be the end of that ... ASR in ... Khushi out ... end of Mrs India ...
But no, Khushi manages to cajole, fight and argue her way back into the show. With Arnav's promise that she is on her own in this ... he won't help.
So will this actually lead to a makeover of Khushi? Or a realisation that she is fine the way she is?

Just watched the last half of the episode again ... the first half was too cringe-worthy for me to sit through - once was enough! Again cv's resorting to cliched gimmicks to make a track, never mind remembering the actual characters ... forgetting that Khushi does know how to dress in public, has held her own among the Raizadas' snobbish guests easily earlier, has walked in heels earlier, giving her the worst of her already limited wardrobe to wear for the events ...
The Arnav Khushi argument was the best part of the episode ... *sigh* these two actors can make anything and any scene look good! The spontaneity in their arguments and fights is unparalleled anywhere on Indian telly - it never looks as though they are just acting!
Poor Arnav, the unthinking words he said coming back to bite him hard, as Khushi has taken them so much to heart that she's behaving like a spoiled brat, determined to prove him wrong, even though he's trying his best to point out how unsuitable this whole contest is for her. And finally he gives up ... if she's behaving like a spoilt child, let her stumble and fall and learn for herself, that's the only way she will learn the truth of his words. At least he will be there to keep an eye on what's happening ... plus he knows Khushi doesn't give up easily, and not at all where he is concerned.
Although he is sponsor of the event ... sooner or later, Khushi should be disqualified anyway ... unless they are not even going to reach there.

Mixed feelings. Not sure why they are hell bent on showing Khushi as klutzy and with awkward social graces. It is not that she has never worn heels. How about showing up for the auditions the way she looked at Payash engagement. She was dreamy.

Ffwd the first half ... when the cv's don't know what to show, they make Khushi either OTT or an clown. Ended up wishing for a speedy end to the show, not for Arhi's sake as much as for Khushi's sake. I don't like stupid female leads.

ReplyDeleteWill khushi not get disqualified once it is discovered that she is the wife of the sponsor. So even if she wins it, it will be taken away from her.
So what they are saying is, after that it will not matter to khushi, even if it is taken away after winning.
Remember there was a Miss India, I forget her name, she had said she was married t get accommodation in Mumbai and was living with her boy friend.
When after she became miss India, it came out that she had Lied, the title was taken away from her.
My guess for the new character is that he will be rich, suave etcetera but very encouraging to khushi, the total opposite of arnav and khushi will be taken in by that and will go further and further for her family.
Well, I did not like the sheetal track and the arnav going away from khushi while khushi was around. It made me stop seeing ipkknd.
So in the same scenario, I cannt see khushi walking away into the sunset with another guy with arnav and aarav looking.
So will it be arnav letting go of khushi saying, jaa apni zindagi jee Le khushi.
We could not see arnav leaving khushi,can we see khushi leaving arnav and going away? Big question mark.

If arnav ji has to be invisible for some time, she has t be away with the other guy, either she has to walk away or he has to fall int the dirty pool finally and either die or fall sick with some water based infection, or the macchair can bite him finally and maybe he gets malaria and DI looks after him with his face closed by a blanket. I mean they can't say he is in the bathroom all the time or he stays in the office all the time. Of course he can go for an official trip like all other normal serials when their leads want a break. Then what was the problem. He could have got his 2 week or 4 week off properly without all this angst and the new character could have come to waylay khushi etcetera.
Anita, this whole thing does not gel from me because I sat and loved all the swami episodes because that was khushi at her troublesome best but lack f logic troubles me. Unless they show that everybody runs down arnav Singh Raizada for being a liar etcetera and he gets super angry.
dear usha, the entire track at times looks illogical, so simple logics like fairness to competition should be firmly overlooked! i don't they will bring it up at all.

if not for anything, i liked today's epi because i saw the glimpses of the old ASR. BS is sure making the whole detoxing process all the more difficult. he even looks loads better now, only if he would get a proper haircut.
and the challenge is on... he know how to push khushi's buttons... i dunno if he deliberately challenged her, may be he did after all its his way of supporting and rooting for her! he can never see hher lose

DeleteKrishna, I agree. Today I was seeing the episode before haldi, the one where she comes to RM to redo her Mehndi and mamiji tricks arnav that they are doing rituals t break his marriage. And he looked so good even in that. At that time we were complaining about the long hair but in that particular episode he had atleast managed a shave and the way he tricks khushi to come to the room and says she is the biggest deal of his life. It was wonderful to see.
Today seeing him clean shaven, I heaved a sigh f relief that faces are not going t get changed from one shave t another. Now we have to wait till the next shave to see if the crossover happens.
Help, here I was thinking that they are making NO attempt to fade out ASR, so it will just be the new guy taking over his role ... and here you are making Khushi walk off into the sunset with another guy!

Deletetalking about detox..my friend who got me to watch this show was home at 8 and she stopped watching a few months back..today she was forced to watch it with me..and a few minutes into the show..she goes "damn i hate you for this!!!how i missed seeing ASR!! i am trying to not watch"!!!
oh it will be so hard to detox!!i have not said much about the off-screen drama and all..because i did not want to sound like a fan girl..but i do not want BS to go..really don't want him to go!! i hope he reconsiders... *sad face*

so i am not really not sure what is to be achieved by BS staying back....esp if there is no graph for his character beyond a track or so....if he has to become SP dikra after that, better he goes off today rather than tommo....the fact is whenever he leaves, it is bound to make an impact...such was the power in that role and his rendition of that role........
I wuld rather remember ASR for his larger than life image (ok much of it was in our imagination becos production values never allowed it to be anything gigantic after that helicopter entry) and his great Shatir dimag (which was always a matter of debate but still a powerful imagery whenever i conjured ASR in my thots...never the ASR without his "shatir" dimag!!) and the lovable Sobti boy for giving us that joy...can't say i have ever been impressed with a telly character/actor to this extent before...
i will be crying but i think it is for the best if a better canvas awaits him

DeleteNo, Su, I'm not cool about it, but the way they were showing Arnav the last few weeks, unkempt, unshaven, disinterested, made me switch off from the guy and the character both, and I was wishing he would just leave and be done with it, so we could move on.
Today the original ASR was back ... and with him, the feeling, that NOOOO, only Barun can be ASR! Whatever Gul maata and SP may say, it is these two actors who have breathed life into the characters ... otherwise after the first nine months, and definitely after the kidnapping, the tracks have all been half-hearted and wishy-washy. The show will NOT be the same without either of them :(((

DeleteThe only way this thing can go forward is if Khushi does go away with somebody else.........for grooming lessons, perhaps? Is that why they are suddenly showing her as they are? The male judge did say that the participants would have to spend a considerable amount of time away from home if they were serious about the competition - so that might be it. And if it is, then :(.

DeleteAnswer is simple: The form had space only for three names to be filled. Khushi- Kumari- Gupta. There was not enough space for Singh Raizada!
She will suggest they leave a longer space for the name, along with mami's suggestions on extending the age limit.

sorry for a little rewind - but some random thought and questions from the past few weeks -
1 - rewind to the Aarav Sheetal time - i could not get why KKG was not ok with Aarav but ok with Sheetal - but then i got it - she took her time to accept the situation - fair enough! - she needed to accept for herself that the kid was not at fault here - and as all this had happened before she was even thought of - she was ok with Sheetal, coz she knew ASR had eyes, heart and soul only for her! so problem solved -
BUT why was she not worried about Sheetal after the KarvaChauth? i mean after knowing that she used her thal and water etc etc - yes she was upset but coz she was thinking about Aarav and ASR and their relationship - why was she not furious with this woman for fasting for her husband? her present, very legally and in love husband??? why was she still all 'sheetalji', what happened to the 'will pull out the eyes of the chural feeling?? even i know the importance of the KC fast breaking thing, how come she was so not concerned by that?
2 - when the whole drama was wound up in half an epi - was wondering it could have been so much better - the CV could have shown a small talk between the couple - even if the seclusion of their bedroom - ODG should have been sorry for having doubted her husband and not having taken his word (about his innocence) - and then a few lines about her goodness winning him all over again could have been made :)
3 - the fight over parenting = could have been a really good track - loved how they both had their pov (though i totally am on KKG side here!) - could have been a good track but i guess it was just a start point to this present track (BTW how come ODB never mentioned redoing Aaravs room and no one in the house noticed an army of people redoing the room - oh sorry had forgotten - no logic!!!)
4 - the new writers need to see the old episodes - i think the dialogue sheets were exchanged for the diwali episode - ASR was mouthing KKGs dialogues (remember last diwali and her 'no to crackers stance!!!)
5 - the rangoli thing was cute - but why a stupid photo for a gift and no reference to why the photo was imp??? why no scene where he remembers the past and apologies to her for past diwali??? (why i say he should have remembered and not her is coz our sweet girl has forgiven her husband and would never remember anything bad about him, so he should have and he should have apologized!!!)
6 - So she wants to do something on her own - good - but has she forgotten she ran a business on her own? - so why not accept a new business instead of a silly pageant??? and that she choose a mrs india contest! to me it is plain stupid (coupled with the amazing stupidity of not telling ODB - what kind of arhipathy is this?? - use it when it suits you and forget you owe him a conversation (am on purpose not calling it an explanation - but ek baar ussay baat karna to banta hai - i mean you can love him, share intimate moments but not confide in him?? sorry that is stupid to me!))
Also cant help but feel that she is always on a short fuse with her husband these days - had this been real - i would have wondered if she was pregnant and hence all hormonal!!!
Finally today -
what kind of a shady contest is this - the women walk in front of one judge at a time??? or is this prep time?? ok i get high heals were a problem but did she actually run all the way home barefoot??
though i did feel 'sher bhudda ho gaya hai' - meaning ASR has lost his roar thanks to being in love - he was more upset about her joining something where she could get hurt instead of her not telling him about it!! - cute!

DeleteDon't ask logical kostins in any daily soap, least of all IPKKND ... with all the off screen drama, it's a wonder they are even managing to churn out any episodes at all!
Well, Arnav knew she was hiding something from him, she told him that much herself, he even guessed (or should have) that his family knew about it because they were all covering for her ... so the only thing to be angry about was the actual thing she was up to. And hence his worry that she is totally out of her depth in this one. Even running an entire business she would be out of her depth to start with, but there he would be there to help her if required, here he can't do that.

Needless to say, he enjoyed OTT Khushi and loved to make that comment at the end as always- "Amma, Khushi is mad!"

3. ROFL dialogue of the day: Anjali: Humein...chakkar sa aa raha hai...ROFL.360 of Anjali's chakkars in pregnancy? I find Dalijeet to be quite an average actress, today I was surprised at her comedy- I think she will do well in that genre. Seriously, I felt today's 30 second dialogue was one of her best performances in the show!
4. Precap: Gives me hope that it is not all OTT. Hopefully, bitiya will not embrasshubby further. (Uff, I am still bugged about that first half!)
5. Kostens:
a. Will ASR quit as the sponsor since what K is suggesting is against his principles? I expect him to.(Jaa bitwa, take a break in the form of a business trip when biwi is busy getting groomed. And pave way for Viraf Patel as the new sponsor. Is this guy really coming?)
b. Are they even easing out Barun's exit or is this Gul's revenge? Give us a pretty decent dose of Barun and then starve us to death?
c. For how long can they sustain the Mrs. India track. 2 weeks? A month?
d. Will the super cool contestant end up helping out Khushi? (I know, where did this come from?)
6. For a minute or two I did wonder if K will end up making a fool of herself and run away from ASR in shame, feeling he deserves better. I know that is not happening, because then the can't use the Raizadas also.
7. Gloatwa vey: I did wonder if ASR will be the sponsor.
8. I liked the anchor's expressions.
9. I am going to miss Barun...a lot...

Natasha Vs Amrita.
Natasha is not bitchy, she is confident and cool. She looks down on the middle class-ness and the rest of her competetion, she is a loner- kind of like a female version of what ASR was. I guess that is why I feel there is goodness in her.
On the room, BBE aapki jai ho. I liked the room the contestants were sitting in waiting to be called for. Also, they already looked better than the first day- like the CVs are actually putting some effort in there.
don't ask me why, that room u r referring to gave me a feeling of "kambakth ishq" song...suddenly i had a feeling all these contestants will climb on some invisible slits in the wall and start dancing...

DeleteI have to say, I also just cringed the first half. Do they have to make Khushi look the fool all the time. She,has wore heels before. Is Arnav the only person on the,panel of sponsors. When they come to know that Khushie is his wife they will disqualify and surely that will cause further embarrassment to both of them.
ReplyDeleteI watch the show with a very heavy heart wondering which scene will be Baruns last. It really has spoilt it for me. Barun did look much better the last two episodes, and I hope that he has his holiday and comes back to finish what he started. I just can't think of anyone else with Khushi. Loving and accepting her just the way she is.

Again cv's take the easy way out and make Khushi either an idiot or a clown ... they seem to have a particular dislike for her character! Or a complete lack of imagination as to how to write her, keeping that original fiesty girl in mind, the one who was nervous but brave all at once.
DeleteThe last few weeks - actually for quite some time, Barun has been completely disinterested and his acting was severely affected. I was switching off from him, and getting reconciled to new actor coming in.
The last two episodes, he has looked better, has shaved!!! is looking rested, has less screen space, and has been emoting well ... and the original charm of ASR the character is back! And now I can't think of anyone else as ASR again! :(((
Can they just wind up the show with these two characters, and start a new story if they want to keep it on air? Arnav is for Khushi, Khushi is for Arnav ... BAS!!!!

- The entry of ASR with the swagger and the BG. Shows why ASR can be played by Barun only.
- The shock and the disbelief on ASR's face when he sees Khushi. The immediate reaching out when she trips when climbing the stairs to the podium.
- Agree this time the auditions were done much better. The extras were good enough and the venue was okay - better than the one which has shabbily painted white door.
- The way Khushi runs away with chappals in her hand. Missed the Oye hoyye hoyye tune of Khushi at that point.
- The family bonding and praying for Khushi's success. the channel and PH seriously need to think about getting some other characters in the serial. The serial can't run on 5-6 characters. That is a fact. Once BS leaves it is going to be even more difficult.
- The way ASR realized that everyone knows that Khushi is participating in the contest. The dialogue was awesome - ASR's kind - 'WOW everyone knows, everyone other than me knows"
- The family tries to escape the wrath of ASR and give excuses to go away. Loved everyone's excuse.
- Then when the family sees that Arnav is going to maybe blast Khushi everyone comes to shield her and ASR has this cute eyebrow lift - like really ? And everyone moves away one by one. This family interactions are surely going to be missed when BS is out.
- The husband and wife talk. The husband worried for his wife's honor and his worry that she will not fit in the fashion world. The way he discourages her but Khushi has taken the words that Arnav spoke about self confidence too much to heart and now she is not going to back down even when she knows that she is not going to fit in the fashion industry.
- Arnav knows which buttons to push to get Khushi to charge up. The last dialogue "dekhte hai" was kind of a challenge he threw at her and he knows Khushi never bows down to a challenge. "Darti hai par zaroor karti hai".
So we move onto the next level.
Only issue I found was there is no exit planned for ASR. No accident, no travel plans, no angry going away. So what are they going to show when BS it seems has stopped shooting for the show. There can't make a mamaji out of ASR. This makes me think maybe they are replacing Viraf with Barun in the role of ASR. Then it is a suicide for the show. Today's episode once again proved why ASR is Barun and Barun is ASR. No 2 questions on that. Fandom is going to kill PH and SP live and roast them if they do this stupid thing of viraf being bought in as ASR. So I will wait and watch. Maybe by this weekend we will know if Viraf is the new ASR and I need to say bye to this show.

DeleteBarun was good. ASR was back. Khushi was a clown. To go on, they need both the characters to remain intact. Today ASR was the original character, but Khushi was not ... so the episode only worked half for me. Only the last argument was good where both were in character.
Unless they get in a whole bunch of new people, the show cannot go on.
So for me, the two tests for whether the PH and SP are really planning a long innings after Barun leaves (and please God, make him stay on!) ... are if Khushi's character is preserved, and more new actors are recruited. So far I see neither happening ... my conclusion - the show will run for a maximum of 1-2 months after Barun leaves. And even if he stays, the need for more characters remains.

Delete1-2 months means around 10 weeks of time. Given that the serial airs 5 times a week and hoping they don't have a ME to cover up, this would mean at least 50 episodes and with the air time of 22 mins it comes up to a lot of time. Unless they have some story they can't shoot for 2 months. It is impossible as you can have fillers only maybe once or twice a week. So I am really not sure what the creatives or for that matter the channel is planning to do.
Rather they could have utilized this time to close off the previous loops properly with the help of the whole cast and could have ended the serial on a bang.
They could have given Shyam a proper end - He can't be just a skirt chaser for the all the heinous crimes he committed. They could have gotten Shashi all well and he could have had an understanding/bonding with Arnav/Khushi. They could have gotten someone for NK and Anjali and could have closed their story. Finally they could have had an pregnancy and love/care for Arnav and Khushi's love story. This would have closed the serial on a high note. I don't understand what the creatives(read the PH) and the channel intend to do when Barun leaves. One thing is for sure - if Viraf is replacing Barun then that is going to flare up the audience protests. Let's see what they want to show for the next 10+ weeks. I just hope they give a proper exit to Barun. He was the ASR. Waiting for his last episode.
ReplyDeleteOne question is nagging me. Are the creatives creative enough to do a real good characterisation of a new character when they have fallen flat all the previous times. Except for NK, All their outings have been bad. Sheetal was okay but again they were confused as to where they want to take her and the actress was bad as she could not convince me to be sympathetic to her.
So if Viraf makes a new entry as a new character, do they really have it in them to make him a strong character. Do they have the time, the energy, the inclination and the time frame available to them.
If they have given themself a long time frame, then should they not have started already. Atleast groundwork for discord between arnav and khushi. Otherwise it will turn it like a masala mama, bubbly etcetera.
At present I don't see any great reason fr discord between them, nothing that we have not seen already which they have not overcome.
And if it is for only a two month frame, will they put in an effort for a new character.
If they keep viraf as ASR, it will be easier because characterisation is already there, only thing is how much will the audience accept, that s the risk. But then it is for only two months.
So please can SP just give barun his leave, send him for two weeks to amreeka or Afghanistan and close the show with him after two months. Give a proper ending to the khushi arnav story without slaughtering them.

So I think it is a friendly gesture as well as advertisement but the question is where is it being advertised. Or does she do print advertising of these sarees for magazines and so gets to wear these sarees, one saree a day. Daljeet is an ex- Femina miss India contestant who came up to the last ten I think.

you knw in tamil serials, the main leads' costumes are always sponsored... they have special wardrobe and accessory sponsors for the leads and the rest of the cast get to wear their own costumes. that way it is the actors' responsibility to make sure they dont end up wearing rags or repeat the same costume. also, unlike hindi serials, the actor/actresses here do more than one show simultaneously. so they have to be extra careful not to wear the same saree in both the shows...
Deletethere was this one actress who acted in three shows simultaneously that aired consecutively. in one show she was a journalist, in the next a college student and the third a lovable wife. she brought the differences quite well with her costumes. i used to catch only the scenes where they showed her.
the content of the show is more often than not as crappy like the saas-bahu type dramas of hindi serials, but they are better dressed and take better care of how they look. be it the actor or actress.

DeleteIn Sanaya's case, I think she doesn't really wear much of Indian clothes in real life, so she doesn't own them. She just wears whatever is given to her. Though must say, she has much better clothes in MJHT - this PH is horrible in terms of dressing their leads. Barun also must be the same - nobody really wears three piece suits in real life - not actors, anyway (corporate people do, but two-piece) so he must be wearing whatever is given to him from the PH. His casual clothes are much better, maybe some of them are his own.

Recommend reading of Priya's crooner today...beautiful beautiful.....esp her ending notes about the story......for me the end of the story is now exactly what she has mentioned as her fantasy world......i don't wish to think of anything beyond that....to me the story ends when Barun leaves...no two doubts about it.....

the fact remains that a fan of ARHI cannot stomach the sunset walk of Sheetal_arnav, a kind of sacrilege but if the PH believed in their track, they should have had the conviction to take it forward. why did they develop cold feet?
my constant complaint has been this only with the PH...the lack of conviction in their own vision..If they knew there is no alternative to BS quitting...why did they bring about halfhearted tracks...why not focus on a simple exit strategy that sounds plausible to them...(forget audiences...their buy-in can comes in only after the action not on conjecture why this constant need to check audience response before every track)..I say this even today...some people may not watch IPK after BS leaves but if u have strong belief in ur product, u should forge ahead..dekhna hain toh dekhenge jinhe dekhna hain...this typical "khaja khana bhi hain aur rakhna bhi hain" will take them only so far...
For example after Khushi came back after the contract issue "resolution" and the RB epi...there was nothing to stop the SR....just to stop the SR, they brought DD...why did they prolong that track with all the mindless effery that followed....one after the other...
Now, if it was the Channel's fault....i would say the PH and CH are a ram milaye jodi...they deserve each other and fans a much needed respite from SP and PH

i remember an old serial, laagi tujhse lagan, where the guy was missing,and no one liked his wife, and forced her to live the life of a widow .. but she refused, donned his mantle, that track was a powerful part of that serial. datta bhao and nakusha are firebranded in my brain as the ultimate strong man and his strong wife.

well, on one hand you have a PH who are supposedly frustrated because they couldnt tell the story they wanted to tell and they cite reasons like SP intervention, fandom demands and actors wanting to quit.

in the middle is the channel who atm is still juggling to satisfy the needs of PH, actors and fans and failing abysmally in all three departments.
the PH lacks conviction and commitment, only if they show the same level of commitment as they had at the start of the show and proceeded with whatever it was that they had envisioned, this show would have gone to an entirely different level. i feel its not all done even now, better late than never, they can still pull up the socks and show something meaningful than dishing out crap to us. the entire concept of a love story having run its course just because the leads got married is not somethng i accept. the actual problem starts only after the marriage... i so wanted to see a pregnant khushi and a constantly fussing arnav!!
the fans lack patience, BIG time. they are never ready to accept any track that does not gel with their predictions and are always on the war mode.
i think all the thinks that worked for the rise of the show is now paving way for the fall!!
Khushi is their lab rat, they dnt let her settle into one proper role at all. she is either an OTT clown, or klutzy loud drama queen, at times sensible at times plain rude. i wonder when will the cvs settle for a proper character sketch for khushi

The best choice is the remote...personally, if i feel that my sentiments have not been honoured, i will simply withdraw in a place where i feel i have no right to demand a particular choice...all the same, i respect another person's choice to continue to view what is on offer.
As much as we want to say that the serial is a victim of fandom, it is only a one-sided aspect of this picture...
u can't keep needling fandom with tracks and spoilers and watch them erupt, then change tracks..it has been a constant show of throwing scraps of info, waiting for reaction and basing tracks on that....it had to end some day...today it is very easy to say that fandom did not have the patience to sit thru sensible tracks, can they honestly say they have attempted a single track after holi with absolute honesty...no...today they can hide behind n reasons and find many doorsteps to lay the blame....but for me a viewer, i am only going to judge on what they put on offer. My assessment remains that the story teller sold a dream, tried to stick to the vision for a great part but meandered off the course, was saved by the sporadic brilliance of the script and the wonderful acting of its cast...PERIOD
they gave us a love story of ARHI, tomorrow if they wish to peddle it another love story, they will have to work to get my attention back!!
I so agree with you, Krish, the show has been spoiled both by the PH not having the conviction to show their own story, and getting side-tracked by their new baby ... the channel putting pressure at times, like the first hate marriage and the re-marriage ... and the fan pressure ... ALL THREE.
DeleteBut I would say I can understand the channel pressure forcing the PH to change their tracks, but fan pressure? If the PH is so fickle that they change tracks based on that, then they deserve what came to them. They have to learn to ignore the fans to some extent, because even the fans are unsure of what they really want ... and everybody wants different things anyway. Take this small blog, for instance ... some of us want Viraf as Arnav, some want him as a new guy, some of us will watch for Sanaya, especially if Khushi gains some maturity, some will stop watching the day Barun exits, whatever happens to Khushi.
There is no way the PH can possibly please each and every one of us ... so they shouldn't even try. Decided a track and stick to it. And when the TRP's return, and hopefully the new ones are more reflective of audience reaction, take those into account. SP will give this PH a long rope, because all said and done, they have put SP on the international map. Once Barun leaves, and IF the PH puts some thought into the show, it will become clear whether Barun made ASR, as the fans claim, or indeed ASR made Barun, as the PH insists. I personally think it's both ways ... the character was good, and the actor was brilliant. Now Khushi ... Sanaya has definitely made her more popular than Khushi has made Sanaya, because Khushi is one of the worst written characters on the show!

I don't know how far this is true but seems like the PH people are planning to show Arnav's accident and his death to ease Barun out of the show. It would like he would be shown dead by circumstance meaning the body won't be found. And for the next 2 months we are going to have Viraf and Khushi's love story shown on the TV. Maybe in the last episode they would get Barun back and reunite Arnav - Khushi but I don't have the time nor the patience to sit through this crap. So I am going to do the next best thing for me and jump back to AD. The story ended for me at KC - When both reaffirmed their marriage oaths. So Diya this might be one of the few last posts on your blog from me.

It was either going to be that or a new ASR entering ... the question was only whether it would be more difficult to watch Sanaya romancing a new actor, or Khushi romancing a new character. Both are going to be difficult to watch ... for me, showing ASR missing, presumed dead in an accident is the lesser of the two evils ... it gives some time for Khushi to settle down with a new person, rather than just see her romancing one day with Barun, next day with Viraf. This way, we will be given some time to wean off Arnav before they do anything romantic for Khushi ... IF they do at all.
ReplyDeleteIf the new guy is accepted, and the TRP's remain okay, then they will continue and show a slow progress of Khushi's new story ... I would think they will start with a one-sided attraction of the new guy for Khushi ... AT ANY TIME, they can modify it to end it with the reappearance of ASR if Barun agrees to come back.
If the TRP's don't sustain, they can just twist the story to make the new guy for Anjali, marry off Anjali happily and leave Khushi to take over AR, remaining wedded to the memory of her one and only love.
Depends on two things ... whether Barun wants to come back at all ... because I don't buy that the entire fiasco is only Gul forcing Barun out - the guy is an adult, he has taken his own decision the same way that AD and DP did ... saw the show going down and decided he wanted out. The fact that he has remained firm on his stand of not coming back, means that a large part of the decision is his own, otherwise with the channel putting so much pressure, and keeping an eye on the show, why would he remain so firm?
The second thing of course, if how serious the PH is about the show ... the root of the problem as it always has been. So if they are not serious about running it for too long, then I give it till Jan/Feb 2013 at the latest. In which case, I hope that SP pressures them to make it about Khushi settling Anjali into a new life and new relationship, bringing up Arav, becoming the head of the family in place of ASR ... and never marrying again.
Dia exactly what I want !! as i have said above , I want Khushi to be the strong one , taking care of Raizaads, Arav and the AR !!! I would happy like that rather than any replacement or new character !!!

And since it takes time and since it is going to be only for 2 - 3 months more, I am not sure if the channel wants to take the effort to change the PH. Seeing how everyone quit and no one wants to come back including Gautam Hedge - What does this tell you. This tells no one wants to work with the PH. I actually am respecting Barun more as he stood up for the love story he breathed life in for 1.5 yrs day in day out. The story was ought to have gone with Arnav and Khushi moving on with different people but since Barun stood up and quit, it is now with ASR's accident. Fine by me. If a creator destroys her love story in this way, there is nothing more I can say. Only that there should be a limit to the sadism that Gul is displaying here. Actually to tell you the truth, I am very happy that Barun quit, hell am damn happy that GH quit. I was very pissed off with GH uttering his dekhna hai toh dekho but now he has more than redeemed himself in my eyes. He created a love story and couldn't agree to the end the PH was proposing. Did the best sensible thing he wanted. He closed the chapter in his mind and did his alvida. That is what I am also going to do. For me Arnav - Khushi walked hand in hand into the sunset and had a long happy married life - just like Khushi says to Arnav in their sangeet ceremony.
Actually hearing that ASR is going to be shown dead, call me anything but I felt some justice for Barun and ASR. Even the channel and PH couldn't replace ASR with another actor. ASR is Barun and Barun is ASR. I am happy that I will be back in AD much more quicker than I thought. Only wish the addiction to IF and blogs is going to be that easy.
And whatever Sanaya may say about the 200+ people losing job and all that, I do wish Sanaya stands up for Khushi's love and Khushi's character. I do hope they end with Khushi staying alone bringing up Arav and never marrying again and always being in love with her laad governor. This would be nayi soch for me. Women always need not have a man/husband to support her. Women can move on in life while cherishing the love they shared and can have happy contended life.

DeleteDaljeet is contracted to SP, so is Sanaya ... PH cannot touch them, so PH has played havoc with their characters. Daljeet stood up for her screen space and you saw what the PH did to Anjali's character. She has gone back to being wallflower after Shyam's exit. Her husband, Shaleen's show was taken off air, just around the time the whole Daljeet controversy erupted. Sandy had remarked on this at the time.
Sanaya would have fought along with Barun for the Arnav-Khushi love story ... she was involved in all the SP meetings with Barun ... and see what they are making of Khushi's character. Sanaya has no say in Khushi's character. Read the posts by Ash of last Wednesday/Thursday and you will understand why Sanaya is still in the show.
Pathetic Dia. If this is the way this PH is going to show the end for this show, it would be utterly pathetic. Can't believe the PH is doing this thereby generating more ill will for themselves. That was what GH mentioned in his last 2 posts. He said that he regretted that he couldn't progress some characters the way he wanted to - maybe he was referring to showing Daljeet a strong woman and showing Payash track more. And in the last post he told the fans to fight for Arnav - Khushi ending. How bad he must have felt when the PH is keen on showing Khushi moving on with other person after showing/writing/nurturing the love story. This is Sadism to the max and nothing more than that.
DeleteActually it seems in the meetings SP and Barun had, Barun it seems wanted to be back. But Gul didn't agree to any of the things. For her the story ought to be Arnav - Khushi going separate. That was the way the story was going to be according to Gul. That was when Barun said it seems "Take me out if you intend to go this way" and when my friend said this about 2 weeks back then only she said that probably it is going to be ASR's death if the new guy is a new character. Barun fought for his character not to be shown as an unfaithful lover and a playboy. Good that he won or rather I should say the fans won.
In a way I already knew this was coming our way. I am happy that Akshay, Deepali and Barun are leaving the show with their screen image intact. I have not read previous posts. Why is Sanaya still in the show. Is it because she can't quit as long as she is employed with SP. Really feel bad for Daljeet and Sanaya. And for Gul I have no words for her. She did win in the end. She created ASR and then she killed him. Only thing I remember now is 'Payback is a bitch' and I do hope this adage comes true for her very soon.
