Today seems to be the day for funny episodes - DMG today was quite cute too. Liked the Tam-Naina interaction ... and the Sid-Naina interaction was too cute! Really nice humor and liked the way they both easily and happily acknowledge their crushes. I like Sid, though he does tend to overact a bit, Naina is becoming better and better, Yuvi is tolerable ... only Tamanna's dialogue delivery is still the pits! Now this is one Riddhima where I wouldn't mind a change.

Masti and coffee!!!

Today's episode dedicated to coffee! Speaking of too many cooks spoil the broth ... what happens to too many cooks and coffee???

Second dedication to bhoot! ... trailing far behind, though!
Honorable mention (VERY honorable mention) - Sajan Mayur and Uday ... they were toooo cute!!! Played second fiddle to the coffee though!
Samrat and his 'meri chashmish bachpan mein kaisi lagti thi' stole my heart - how much he loves his girl! Apart from frequent references to his seedhi vaala pyaar - dude, have you forgotten, you weren't in love with her for the last year! Hmm ... you do seem to have forgotten that! Or maybe you realised (finally!) that you were!
Mayank's one liner of the day - Bhushan family aur drama ka janam janam ka saath hai!
Minimal screen space, hence actually tolerable ... AS. Vaise, I liked Suhani's line ... are, main kya karun, voh khud hi apne aap ko invite karta rehta hai! Too true - agree completely!
Completely brainless and enjoyable episode - screen space should henceforth be in this distribution only! AS can alternate with Benji Dia or Uday can share his screen space with Benji Dia, and limit AS to last two mintes of each episode, that is more than enough for them!
Addendum - aren't the guys - Mayank and Samrat - making themselves very much at home in the Bhushan home? Are they planning to become ghar jamais? :)

Disappointing!

BB court - am getting very tired of Samrat Adhiraj standoffs - thank god this one was short and faded into Samrat's memories.
Nupur and Mayank nautanki - usually is amusing and entertaining, today it was neither. Mayank's acting was bad - he was completely unconvincing as an old man. And for once Nupur wasn't that great - the expressions were somehow over the top. The only part that was nice and looked natural was her smile when she ran to hug Mayank.
BB court with SG - again touching, he is good in emotional scenes and getting better. Gunjan - soft, calm, firm support - dialogues could have been better, (please stop saying - tum chinta mat karo!) but loved the way Samrat leaned against her - again cut short to switch to nautanki Nupur. I guess they needed the time after three weeks apart, but it could have been done at the cost of a very boring AS scene, rather than the SG scene.
AS scene - very boring and getting more boring by the day as their length increases. Suhani tries to put down Adhiraj then softens - how can you fall for a guy like that in three days, or a week or however much it's been?
Song - miniscule Sajan part, they had no scope to make any impact - yet they still did. AS - boring again - why couldn't SG had had more of their part if the sulking MN fans had to be appeased? MN - nice, far better than their ROFL first date. At least they had some relevant stuff going on, coffe, paneer pakodas, tv - earth shattering emotional connection, but that is what they have in their relationship so that's what's relevant for them. Dunno where Mayank organised the dream house at a moment's notice, but that's hardly the most unbelievable thing that's happened in MJHT (case in point - fountains and multi-purpose date room in Excel :)
Anyway, I have no need to run down anybody else just to prove that SG are great ... there is really nothing in the other stories that I want for SG. The other two couples may be great actors ... or not (!) but SG are the only ones who touch my heart.
All in all, disappointing after the build up. If MN have been earmarked for nautanki and passion and no emotional moments, then SG seem to have been earmarked for emotion but no passionate moments at all, and that is getting equally annoying. Though thank god the kiss part wasn't stressed at all. Well, SG were hardly there in the song to stress on anything.
promo - Nupur's boyfriend. Now we have the reason the AS track was proceeding at breakneck speed - to establish A as S's bf before Mayank got back. Can we slow down now? At least decrease the screen space being given to this very boring couple?
addendum: Jaskaran to play Hanuman for Nupur - that just confirms it... MN are nautanki jodi and SG are emotional jodi! Rather amusing - means we'll get some fun moments while the emotional family track is on! Good balance, creatives, just minimise AS, that's all!

26th November episode
canteen scene - had thought it would be amusing and it was - quite cute. Time pass, but cute. Suhani has her wits about her all right. And of course brother Samrat to the rescue - am surprised Adhiraj isn't getting annoyed at the tender looks Suhani bestows on Samrat - all sisterly of course, but he doesn't know that!
Agree completely with Nupur though - aren't AS going at superfast speed?
Locker scene with Nupur and Gunjan - Nupur is back in character and is fun to watch. Gunjan is also back in character, loving, caring, sweet. And protective in her own way - are you sure you want to go out with that guy? We can get you out of it - after all, we don't know anything about him. Very 'bhabhi' style :) Nice sisters scene.
Adhiraj Nupur interaction - not quite sure where they're leading, but maybe somewhere. Didn't really see the point of the conversation, it was entertaining but ...

Gunjan character development
Gunjan character development – in the Wednesday episode, there was more Gunjan development (and now I’m sure someone is reading our discussions – Gunjan is going exactly the way we want her to!). First, her statement to Samrat – I can have friends other than you – the Gunjan at the start of the show didn’t talk to anyone apart from her sister, and was alarmingly prone to burst into tears if anyone spoke to her ;) … to have her reach here really shows how she has developed from a timid shy small town girl to becoming confident in her own self. And her experiences over the course of the show – the talent parade, the RJ hunt, becoming Valentine princess, being in charge of the music for the play – she took up all these roles slowly and very quietly and unobtrusively and they have all helped her grow. If you don’t follow her story, you might wonder how she reached here, but look at all the events in her life over the last year and how she has handled them, and you find the explanation. And of course, the biggest factor has been her love life – even the Sheena phase showed some growth – she went through heartbreak not once but thrice – first on Rose day, then when Samrat first started liking Sheena and confided every detail to Gunjan, then when she confessed during the play and he didn’t get it, Sheena proclaimed Gunjan loves you, he still didn’t get it … all those heartbreaks also didn’t shatter her … she cried, then picked herself up and continued with her friendship, reasoning that something is better than nothing – that itself takes some doing. And the final major contribution to her growth has been again Samrat and the fact that he loves her so much – that has over a few short weeks given her so much confidence in herself and so much growth in her character – she has become bright, smiling, confident, able to stand up for what she believes is right, confident enough to disagree with the gang and even Samrat, without going into major histrionics over it.
Samrat and Gunjan – how she handled the disagreement with Samrat (can’t even call it a fight). If you look at the characters of Samrat and Gunjan, they are polar opposites – he has a confident, almost arrogant exterior which hides a very vulnerable and lonely interior and she is the opposite, shy and underconfident with other people, but inwardly strong, sure of herself, her values and ideals, what she believes is right and wrong. So they are not just opposites - they are complementary to each other - his weakness is her strength and hers is his. He helps her to deal with the world, and she helps him to deal with himself. That's why they make such a beautiful couple.
Also she has always been sensitive to other people’s feelings – except maybe when she was in the weeping willow phase – and here she is very sensitive to Samrat, especially now that she has started learning about his childhood and his insecurities. The way she spoke to him was an unspoken reassurance – I don’t mind if you’re angry with me, you have the right to be – reassuring him that I won’t leave you regardless of anything that happens between us – for Samrat, with his history, that itself is all he needs. He’ll apologise to Nupur2/Suhani – hell, he’ll even stand on his head if required, because Gunjan is still with him. Not only does it show their bond, it also shows how dependent he is on her. And he reiterates it to Suhani – if you don’t forgive me, Gunjan won’t forgive me.

Fastest make up?! :)))
25th November episode
I think we need to start clocking the SG fights - which one is the shortest!!! They barely fight and they make up!
Samrat is too cute! He just can't stay away from Gunjan ... as for fighting with her, it makes him so miserable ... he's really a cutie pie! And when Nupur is there too, adding her comments, it's icing on the cake!
But I don't care for the testosterone laden scenes with Adharaj!
And Suhani, you're here for your brother, why are you getting involved with Adhiraj? Concentrate on your brother ... and keep giving that arrogant fellow some put downs!
Nupur's scene with pp guy - forced humor again.
Samrat apology to Suhani - again very cute and liked the way he made it clear to her that Chashmish was the ruling influence in his life!
Last scene in canteen - has the potential to be cute - have to wait til tomorrow.

SG fight again ... and make up on the way :)
BB court - Gunjan asks Samrat why he got so angry with Nupur, he says she has no right to ask about his childhood, Gunjan says at least she does, he says he hates his parents and sister, calls her Gunjan and walks off. Gunjan upset that he called her Gunjan - saw that one coming!
Mayur phone conversation - cute while it lasted, don't remember much. Nothing memorable.
AS - why are their scenes so long and boring ... and hug already? No chemistry! Adhiraj needs some acting classes. And Suhani needs to lessen her make up. That girls squints!
2nd Mayur conversation - talk about dream house and children - seriously, why is Nupur shown to be such a bimbo?! Best part was when Samrat joins the conversation - already looking for his Chashmish - did I mention this guy really can't stay without her for too long?! The three way conversation was genuinely funny - good humor after ages! Loved his 'I love you, Mayank, i miss you' - get on with it, Nupur, I want to talk to you and that's more important! Sayank chemistry and Sanu chemistry is great!

Note to self - DDLJ with MJHT - never!
23rd november episode
I was feeling kindly disposed to Suhani but today I take it back - she needs acting lessons! So does Adhiraj. Suhani had major emotional scenes today and according to me she fell short. Both Samrat and Gunjan were so much better in their scenes with her. The only scene in which she was better was the one with Adhiraj - guess why! And the AS hug at the end - NO chemistry!
As for Nupur1 - hehe, loving this girl!
Gunjan is going to be peacemaker and create loads of SG tension ... hmm, let's see what happens. But the actual track is a let down - divorced parents ... after all the elaborate stories I was thinking of! So why does he hate his sister? Dad wanted varis - hmm, had thought of that one but thought it would be too filmy - apparently nothing is too filmy for MJHT!
Adhiraj-samrat bb match - too long! Kind of predicted the ending!

DMG2 - could be so much better!
20th november episode
After all the fuss on the DMG forum about the YuviNaina scene, I finally decided to watch it.
Good scene, good ambience. Mediocre acting and poor dialogue delivery made what could have been a really good scene very average and nothing to touch the heart. Naina, plzzz improve your voice modulation and dialogue delivery - expressions are getting better but the dialogue delivery is still very poor and that takes so much away from the scene. Naina forces me to compare her to Gunjan, both have the same fair pretty looks, and Naina's character is close to what Sanaya is offscreen. If Sanaya was playing this, she would rock it! Again, the Yuvi-Naina story has great potential, but the acting needs to improve tremendously.
Sid-Tam - still not happening for me. As for the precap - WHY are they attempting to recreate AR? It's not working!

Sisters plus Uday - Uday leaving for few days. Nupur depressed that Mayank didn't talk
BB court - Samrat Adhiraj. Adhiraj winning over Chinu, Dia Benji Samrat upset. Hope Gunjan manages to calm down Samrat on this front as well. Tension on all sides for Samrat. There will be SG tension.
AS scene - not much. Thankfully creatives are toning them down.
Gunur - Gun tells Nups to call MAyank.
Gunjan Suhani - woohoo! Never seen Gunjan so aggressive! The way she subtly taunts Suhani, her voice has just the right hints of delicate sarcasm and gentle disbelief, and Suhani is smart enough to get the nuances in her tone and questions - Adhiraj, learn voice modulation from Gunjan! She tones down a bit when she sees Nupur, suddenly realising that exposing Suhani might harm Nupur. Suhani escapes.
Not for long. Suhani sees Gunjan with passport and runs after her just as Gunjan finds Samrat. Samrat is obviously upset still - before he can say anything Suhani drags Gunjan off.
Gunjan Suhani - Suhani's secret out. Full secret will only come on Monday but Samrat hates Suhani. Gunjan wants to tell Samrat that Suhani is his sister - Suhani begs her not to. Question - will Gunjan tell Samrat? Or will his hatred for his family stop her? Have to wait for Monday for that.
Oh and Samrat Adhiraj match. wonder if Adhiraj will purposely lose - and become good guy. Or will he win and cement Samrat's hatred and worsen SG tension?
Satisfying episode Gunjan wise - not only is story progressing according to what I thought, but Gunjan is getting a good role to play for once! And also staying in character - she doesn't raise her voice even once! Amazing dialogue delivery - the more I watch this girl, the more I admire her voice - that is her strongest asset. How she builds the emotions in - her expressions are very, very subtle especially for Indian television, which is used to over the top rona dhona and loud dialogues and in your face emotions.
Am quite happy - hope Adhiraj stops being such a pain in the butt!

Satisfying episode Gunjan wise - not only is story progressing according to what I thought, but Gunjan is getting a good role to play for once! And also staying in character - she doesn't raise her voice even once! Amazing dialogue delivery - the more I watch this girl, the more I admire her voice - that is her strongest asset. How she builds the emotions in - her expressions are very, very subtle especially for Indian television, which is used to over the top rona dhona and loud dialogues and in your face emotions.
Am quite happy - hope Adhiraj stops being such a pain in the butt!

Tension finally starting!
19th November
Finally tension starting. Samrat not such a dhakkan today - asks nups2 how she knows so much about him, she gives some fangirly answer - how can he even believe it?!
Gunjan very tense.
Liked the Gunur scene today - although both girls were lost in their thoughts, they found common ground in nupur's problem, and gunjan didn't tell nupur about her worries. Instead asked nupur to call mayank. Mayur phone call - tension starting there too- Mayank wants to finish project so he can come to mumbai, but of course - doesn't tell nupur that! Sigh - will this couple ever start communicating?! Nupur again misunderstanding?
Gunjan finds Suhani's passport - tries to call Samrat but he's with Suhani. Suhani asking about childhood memories. Okay, one theory gone - the hare rama hare krishna track of separated parents.
Samrat in his room - his memories are pleasant, but he doesn't want them. Now this track is getting interesting.
Gunjan tries calling him again, he's asleep. Even in spite of total communication, this can happen! Now she wants to tell him tomorrow. Although i want her to confront Suhani, I can believe that she wants to talk to Samrat first - that is so natural for this couple - they share everything. It's really quite surprising that she will talk to Suhani first.
Precap - Adhiraj's character changing ever so slightly - he will be a tough coach, but a fair one? I think Samrat will be so het up about bb and Suhani's talk of last night that he will not speak to G, which is why she will land up talking to Suhani first.

Addendum - promo: Suhani tells Gunjan she is Samrat's sister but begs her not to tell Samrat. Samrat doesn't want to talk about his family - says he has no family. Gunjan caught in the middle. Looks like what I wanted to happen is going to happen - Gunjan in the forefront to bring Samrat together with his family. And Sajan get even closer in the bargain (if that's even possible!). He doesn't want his family - he wants only Gunjan, he needs only Gunjan. So if Suhani wants to get closer to him, she has to get close to Gunjan too. Sounds like one helluva emotional track coming up - as long as there's no SG split, I'll love it! And the way they're showing Samrat, I don't think there will be an SG split. He is completely emotionally dependent on Gunjan, he cannot do without her. Wish they would have a scene with the gang, maybe Benji and Dia with Suhani, where they remark on this in Suhani's hearing, making her realise that if she wants to make any headway with samrat, she has to have Gunjan on her side.

Worth watching only for SG :)
18th November
Gunjan rushes to Samrat - he's like a cat, no injuries! Cute scene with worried Gunjan and Sam trying his luck again ... for what, the fourth time today?! By now Gunjan has very firmly caught on. They really have such a cute relationship - fun, teasing, and the underlying love and understanding. It's as though they enjoy each other's company so much, they just don't need anyone else, just the two of them are complete together. And when there are other people around, that's okay too, because they're still together, friends add to their relationship but it's already complete the way it is. And everyone knows it, knows that SG are one.
Adhiraj-Nups2 walk - bore. Agree with nups2 on that one. How come she actually got impressed? Anyway, her love story doesn't interest me.

AN2 walk again and SG. Barely one minute of SG - but still worth watching :) The first bit, when they're just laughing together - that says it all.

First scene - Gunjan comes in, gestures to all to come up on terrace. All except Adhiraj wait for samrat to bring nups2. Adhiraj lands up - Bui's phone call, and all go down. Nups1 and nups2 handle phone call - Nups2 agreed to help because of Samrat but she's fussing quite a bit ...
2 good dialogues in the non-SG part - Uday saying ladke-ladkiyon ke kaam alag hote hain? and Nupur saying - is ghar mein sab log ajeeb hain!
SG terrace scene ... :) :) :) SG are warming up, love the way their relationship is so comfortable, teasing is always there with the romance, and now with the passion. Samrat wants his kiss - tonight! And Gunjan is in flirty mood ... what a wink! Made him fall off his ladder!
Again sbs the spoiler - know he won't get hurt badly!
speaking of ladder and Samrat's love affair with it - loved the way he said how he'd been spending so much time with it for the last one year. He seems to have completely forgotten that he and G got together just a few weeks ago - in his mind, their love story seems to have started a year ago! How I hope he does get around to realising that consciously as well as unconsciously, and we get some nice flashbacks - maybe around his family track when he looks back on how he and Gunjan developed their bond.
Will Suhani be the loving sister and bond with Gunjan as well as with Samrat? Or will she be possessive noone-is-good-enough-for-my-brother type of sister? Considering she's not been near him the last ten years, she really has no business being the latter and if she is, I will not be happy with her. The only good thing is that Samrat can't see beyond Gunjan, so their bond should survive all parental (and sisterly) trauma. Already saw that in tonight's scene - he brought nups2 for nups1, then duty done, he was back to Gunjan :) and his kiss! Enjoyed his dialogues and his gestures - when he calls her, he's like - what? where are you going? You stay with me!

Slightly better ... story moves
16th November episode
Okay, I was wrong. Fight made up completely - I thought they would drag Samrat's ego issue, but apparently not. More keen to start the Samrat family track.
First scene - :) :) :) Samrat isn't giving up that easily! He knows Gunjan had no serious objection, so he's going to get his kiss tonight! Second try!
Home scene - again dragged quite a bit. If they weren't interrupting Sajan, I might have been more amused. Bui's phone call, Uday takes forver to tell Nupur and Dia and Adhiraj lands up.
Samrat still on second try - again interrupted by sis no. 2! Gunjan doesn't see the photograph - I would have been very surprised if she had. Cliche!
Home scene again - Uday in shower - forced humor! Nups1 decides to call Samrat, the window climbing and break and enter expert.
SG - (Samrat mainly) ask Nups2 to help Nups1. She agrees - well, I guess they don't know that she does know Nupur's side of the story, but as for helping out - for Samrat, of course!
Again Gunjan starting to use her brains and wonder why nups2 is so ready to trust Samrat. Is she getting suspicious already? Or jealous? Samrat is, as usual, blissfully clueless! He was clueless about Dia's feelings, then about Gunjan's, then about his own ... expecting him to realise nups2's is far too much for this dhakkan! But he's cute in this completely-besotted-with-Gunjan phase, so I forgive him! Only wish the rest of the gang would realise that the brains are now with Gunjan, not with Samrat and his 'plans'!!!
Am looking forward to tomorrow's nups1-nups2-adhiraj scene - should be fun with some good dialogues. Hope they don't cut the precap SG scene - that should be good as well. Any bets who'll interrupt this time - nups1, nups2, dia, dodo, all or none?!
Addendum - precap - Samrat's third try! Third time lucky? Just had a thought - since last Thursday precap, the guy has been trying for a kiss - almost ten days! ROFL!!! Though of course it's been just one day in MJHT! At this rate Mayank's weekend will be next year!

K3G definitely -plus Main Hoon na? don't remember that one so well, so don't know. All this happens in ONE day - they're still wearing the same clothes!
Another thought - although Adhiraj has conveniently fallen for nups2/suhani, he thinks she's nups1 and he's agreeable to marrying nups1. In the precap, he's quite comfortable arguing with nups1. Fade out of mayank?

Waste of time - except last 5 minutes
13th November episode
Dragging things and not showing what I want!
Okay Nupur1 cleared up the whole story with Nupur2 - and Nupur2 wants to join the bb team to be be near Samrat. Took a long time to get it all across.
Canteen scene with Nups and Dodo, Dia Nups painting Dodo's nails - all can be classified as sheer waste of time.
Mayank's poetry - ROFL ... seriously!!! This guy looks comical when he puts on his lovelorn look! Much better when he's all sarky and smart alec answers! As for his mom, I loved Shilpa aunty when she started off, but she's becoming quite unbelievable these days - which mom will read her teenage son's love poems and then send him off to visit his girlfriend for the weekend? And what kind of teenage son will allow his mom to read poems written for his gf? Never heard of privacy?!
If I was Nupur, I would have serious second thoughts about Mayank. He's too much a momma's boy for my liking. Next, he'll be asking momma's permission to kiss Nupur. Or wait, momma already gave him that! Blech!
So the only scene worth watching - the SG make up scene - and it was far too short!!! The creatives are handling the couple and their relationship very well but seem to be running short of dialogues - or maybe they are victims to their own creations - the way they have developed Samrat Gunjan, SG CANNOT fight!!! But these constant interruptions in their scenes are now becoming irritating - don't give them physical closeness, but let them at least have a few lovey dovey dialogues! And some more meaningful dialogues in which they explore their past relationship and how it was always love, but they never realised it. Even the newbies have more dialogues than Gunjan these days and I'm getting very irritated with the way the SG romance track is being short changed now.

Not really happy, waiting for tomorrow

Did I enjoy today? Not really. Did things happen? Yes, they did.
Samrat-Adhiraj confrontation - felt bad for Samrat. Can't decide about Adhiraj - what game is he playing?
Gunjan found her voice and her brains and spoke up against the planning. Please god and creatives, make her the brains behind further tackling Adhiraj.
I liked the Samrat Gunjan fight - realistic and good to see them really getting into the relationship while keeping their personalities intact. I always wanted Gunjan to speak up - she did. I wanted Samrat to stop treating her like glass - he did. Yes, she was right in saying what she did and he was justified in getting angry. Now they've fought - and will make up ... mmmm. Need tension!!!
And Suhani is on Samrat's side - she is his big sister after all :) Also glad to see her handling Adhiraj coolly. And telling him he's very confident - I just wish she'd said 'overconfident'!

Some good, some bad

Dia and Gunjan meet Nups2 - ok
Mayur phone conversation - very cute. Mayank in full form today, full of masti. And Nupur decides - YET AGAIN - not to tell him about bablu - will this girl never learn?!
Uday and Samrat and Miss Vyas - I am thoroughly confused - WHAT exactly are they trying to do? It was an amusing scene, but completely pointless. I'm less and less impressed with Sanu planning - please hand over to Gunjan - she at least thinks a bit about the future!
Speaking of Gunjan - G, Nups2 and Dia - I liked the scene in the locker room. Nups2 is obviously a long lost relative, probably sister, so that theory seems correct. She also, to my IMMENSE relief, seems to be positive - I really couldn't have taken a third vamp after Sheena and Bui. Okay, decided, i will watch her track happily. Seems to be a sweet character and is playing her role well. And, thankfully, Gunjan opened her mouth today - and is back to her truthful and sensible self - lies will only land you in more trouble. Wish she could convince Nupur of that one. Hmm, our theories of the track seem to be somewhat on track - maybe the KKKG one? Nups2 was definitely looking a little wistful when Dia spoke about Samrat not having any relatives.
Just watched the last bit of the date scene again - Nups2 saw Samrat and Gunjan together. So did she keep her name Nupur so as to get close to Gunjan? But how did she know Gunjan's name - or that Nupur is her sister? Samrat only calls Gunjan Chashmish. Still puzzling.

Just watched the last bit of the date scene again - Nups2 saw Samrat and Gunjan together. So did she keep her name Nupur so as to get close to Gunjan? But how did she know Gunjan's name - or that Nupur is her sister? Samrat only calls Gunjan Chashmish. Still puzzling.

Not as bad as I thought

Hmm ... not as bad as I thought it would be. Maybe because there actually seems to be some story building here? Will have to sit through a few of these newbie centered episodes to figure out what's going on. Nupur2 seems to be an alias - she thought a lot before giving the name. Wonder why, especially as she is supposed to be some connection of Samrat's. Though I'm not sure she's his sister, but that may be a reason for not giving her real name.
Gang confrontations - not bad again, but am looking forward to Mr Adhiraj getting his comeuppance and being taken down a peg or two ... or three or four, preferably! Something to look forward to, at least. Wish Mayank was back - it would be really fun to watch him and Samrat take on Mr Cool dude together!
Few queshuns, pleaje: what egg-jackly is Mr half-vest, sorry, halfraj doing in Excel anyway? Thought he'd come to "see" Nupur - does he intend to make it a long term viewing?
Doesn't principal Shukla know the new girl's name and don't they have things like attendance where her real name will come up? Oops, sorry, for that they have to attend classes. Queshun withdrawn.
So are they going to make Nupur2 pretend to be Nupur1? and will she then live with the Bhushans? where Sammy keeps dropping in every now and then? BUT BUT BUT ... if creatives have any sense, they won't concentrate completely on the new pair, and will give at least five to ten minutes of Mayur Sajan scenes in every episode - the whole fan following is going to be up in arms and against the new jodi and even the storyline if they give so much bhav to the new pair and completely sideline the old characters. So it will slow down the story development - so what?! They have all the time in the world - it's a daily soap, which they want to extend, especially as it seems to be doing well. It's not a movie that they have to finish it in three hours. Anyway they're experts at dragging stories - witness the whole Sajan friendship break and Mayur first confession during the play, both were dragged unbearably. At this point, both the couples, who are so much loved, are at upswings in their respective stories - it's a good time to show the start of Mayur communication, and some good Sajan scenes! And sure, start the whole bablu story and the Samrat family angle - am really looking forward to that one, so I don't mind Suhani/Nups2 so far. Just hope she's not a vampish character - we've already had two for Sajan, Sheena and Bui, I don't want a third!
And I definitely want some Sajan scenes! We've got a smiling happy Gunjan after months, I want to see more of her!
Ah yes, one more thing. Speaking of selfish Gunjan, bloody hell what is Nupur up to?! Fist her break up with Mayank occupies Sajan, then she interrupts their first kiss, then she doesn't even let them have an eyelock in peace in the canteen with all her Bablu planning, ON TOP of which, now their next problem is basically to deal with her problem again - that darn bablu!!! Arre, leave them in peace, get hold of your hero Mayank to solve your problems, girl! Or just tell your bauji - who seems to be far more reasonable than Bui - that you don't want to get married yet! Behaving like Muskaan in DMG - except that Mayank is not going to do a Rahul here and pretend to marry her!

Gang planning Bablu Bhagao ... total time pass, the only good thing was smiling Gunjan, for once involved and part of the gang planning. And giving it back to Samrat - yes, again! In the canteen, he says, I've lots of experience planning because of Chashmish, so when they're alone together, she says, yeah, you've lots of experience planning because of me! He actually looks embarrassed!
Benji Dia Chacko today - is Uday on a break as well? Anyway, okay okay, a bit forced, the humor.

Kiss and almost kiss
6th November episode
Okay okay episode - after the super cute one yesterday. The farewell scene of MN was sweet - far better than the strangers making out in the barn yesterday. And enjoyed the Sajan Nupur scene - always love Sanu and with gunjan also there, it was even better!
Bangle search and hand kiss - mmmm. I was thinking there might be a hand kiss after he puts on the bangle, and I wasn't disappointed. That was dreamy :))) And Gunjan had NO objection! All she said was - so you had this? in a totally breathless voice. Nope, no objection at all! None of those coy 'what are you doing, somebody will see us' kind of filmy stuff! No wonder Sammy boy took a chance ... I want a prize - and oh boy - no objection to that either! Just an even softer "what prize do you want?" That was an unspoken go ahead if there ever was one! Wow, that was some first date - hangover is still going strong! If Nupur di hadn't interrupted, we might have seen our first kiss on Indian tv :) Oh well, (resigned look) never mind - at the rate they're going, we'll get that almost kiss sooner or later! Minus the 'almost'!
edit: watched the whole scene again and enjoyed it much more! Each expression was subtle, but said it all. The part when Samrat kisses Gunjan's hand, his entire concentration on it - worshipful, adoring love. And then he looks at her and his eyes have that melting expression again, the slightest smile and a hint of a question, as though asking if he's gone too far. While he's slipping the bangle on, she has the very slightest hint of a smile, which changes as he lifts her hand to kiss it, but she doesn't withdraw at all - she's as lost as he is and a lot more nervous about it. Not scared, nervous. When he looks at her, she does manage to move slightly away, but instead of saying anything about the kiss, all she can say is - you had the bangle. And then he attempts to break the passion that's building up with a lighter remark, but he's asking her again if he went too far. The way she answers - what prize do you want? her tone even softer, more breathless, and he looks at her in first surprise, and then as though to confirm that he did understand that she was giving him permission, telling him that he could take what he wanted - only then does he come closer, and yes, that was an unspoken permission, because she doesn't back away at all. It's as though after the previous night, the gunjan rekha has really fallen. If nupur hadn't come in ...
Is it in character? I think so. Gunjan is the kind of girl who once having loved, is fully committed. She took a while to adjust to the new level, is still adjusting, but she was never shy with Samrat and this - his love, is something she has been dreaming about for ages. She's timid with other people, never with him. And he is constantly reassuring her of his love, not only by words, but by the way he looks at her, the way he is always around her, wanting to be with her, ever since they got together, has no qualms about showing the world that he's crazy about her. There are no doubts on his side, nothing to make her feel cautious, uncertain. So yes, I loved the bangle and hand kiss, and am happy with the almost kiss too. The date did change a lot in the relationship, advanced it quite a few steps forward, cemented their bond and the fact that both see it as a permanent one.
Rest of episode - Nupur and gang planning to deal with Bablu. And Bablu's entry - so much bhav?! For that?! Precap - unimpressive - and wth, no SG or MN?!!! I don't like these new entries! Actually, the guy is not bad, the girl is :(

So got confirmation from a creative that the song scene in the barn (MN part obviously) was not to show them going the whole way - but was "just kissing"!!!
And that's supposed to be an explanation? Or make it all right?
Ah, come on!
The scene was beautifully picturized, great acting, great editing, camera angles and all that jazz. It was a scene between a married couple maybe facing some trauma in their life, a separation or potential separation. Or maybe the desperation of an illicit love affair.
What it was NOT - was a sweet innocent scene between a couple of college kids - maybe mature college kids, but college going kids, nonetheless. There was no innocence, no fumbling, no sense of 'this is new to both of us' - it was a passionate sequence between two people very much in love who knew what they were doing. And this was to lead to just a kiss?????
Prelude to a kiss is what SG had in the precap the same day - hesitation, shyness, nervousness yet anticipation. What MN had was definitely prelude to lovemaking. And by a creative coming and "clarifying" that no, they didn't go the whole way, makes it worse - you made two actors perform such a scene basically for your trp's, regardless of the story, of the characters they were playing and of their own reservations - in the sbs segments, they were both definitely a little embarrassed. That they performed it well, is a tribute to their acting skills, not to the writing or the direction - or the very concept!
And honestly - what fans are those who enjoy the demeaning of their favourite characters?

They just get better every day!
5th November episode
Sajan seriously just get better every day! After the MN confession, MN went downhill so rapidly it was like a free fall. After the Sajan confession - it's been three weeks, and it's been just getting better all the time. First Gunjan's shyness and nervousness, beautifully dealt with, then the MN jhagda had to be handled by Sajan, giving them time to get back to their friends footing while settling into the lovers mode, and now, the aftermath of the date, or rather the last bit of their date and I can't help watching again and again (thank you youtube!!!)
First scene - so completely touching and heartwarming. The bit about Samrat's parents and family - he's obviously hiding some painful memories, then the part when Gunjan speaks about her more humble background and her anxieties surface and the way Samrat handles them so beautifully - that "I love you" was so genuine and heartfelt and the words that followed were almost a proposal - I don't want to live my life without you. The expression in Gunjan's eyes, happiness and tears - no one can do that better than this girl.
Next - the less than one minute they got in the song (yes, i timed it!) - well, in a way I'm glad they didn't do much in this song, it was too sensuous to be Sajan's style, but the few seconds they did get were so adorable - and meaningful in the sense they showed that little bit of progress in their comfort zone, especially Gunjan's, with her taking the lead to interlock her fingers with Samrat's. Simple, subtle and yes ... passionate too. Not the raw body heat kind of passion, but the passion that is truly a part of love, pure and deep. That five second finger interlock gave me more butterflies than the entire barn scene next door (not difficult, as the barn scene was actually a turn off!) But yeah, I would have been happy if they weren't there at all - had to sit through the whole song to watch those few seconds, and the change of mood was too much to appreciate MN, especially as I was totally into Sajan dreamland by then.
Last bit - all Sajan, and after my crib yesterday, I so enjoyed it! Had it all - romance, teasing, passion, back to teasing and light hearted banter from both S & G ... mmm!!! Loved the bhoot part and how she realises that he's taking complete advantage of the moment - her face shows that "you're just incorrigible!" expression! And the last bit - yay, they're back on the bike! And the "mere alava?" and they both give those killer smiles ... :))))
Precap - they're not going to kiss!!! Of course not! Nupur didi to the rescue - but sheesh, Nupur di, last night you did a hell of a lot more ... why are you being kabab mein haddi? :(

Too much MN, not enough SG
4th November episode
Sums it up - after so many days of MN centric episodes we still get too much MN and not enough SG :(
MN parts were cute, though, as they are back after many days to almost normal.
But I want more Sajan!
Sajan finally getting into the romance phase - yesss!!! Gunjan is so far removed from her head-in-the-clouds sister - she says first of all, stay my best friend forever. Such a smart girl - realised the basic problem between MN and wants to make sure it doesn't happen with her and Samrat. Loved the flower petals scene - it caused her so much grief at that time on Rose Day and today could feel her happiness at her dream finally coming true! Loved her expressions - she broke her heart over rose petals and today that hurt and heartbreak was healed - lovely scene!
The dialogues were beautiful and so meaningful - promise me that I'll be your best friend always and you always used to tell me when you were upset, promise you'll keep doing that. Seems to be laying the base for the story to come. Yep, they need some external pressures, because once they're together, there's nothing much that can push them apart. From the precap, it looks like they have a good story line coming up. Also really enjoyed the few moments of romance we got today! Want more!!!
Unlike dear old MN, who have "moments ... of lowe!" Speaking of MN, I have a bad feeling about this one - they are looking far too intimate in the barn scene, and was reading some of the old posts that this will change their lives. Uh oh, uh oh ... my EDK scene coming to life. Hope no pregnancy!

ROFL episode

Help! HELP! WHAT a filmy episode! Right from Nupur running after bus, fainting, only to revive in (gasp) Mayank's arms - neat way of getting out of logistical details, I must say! And then the lines by Nupur - okay, those were not bad, poor thing ate humble pie very thoroughly but WHY was Mayank looking like strict headmaster throughout? And then the I love you from him - the only good line - are these many people enough or should i call more? And the holding in his arms ... eeks, in front of the whole world - if the first confession was public, this was super public! Sooo 'touching' ... and so utterly hilarious! And the audience clapping ... hehe ... they must have thought they were watching a film shooting! Oh wait, they were :)))
Sympathised with the bus conductor completely - if you guys have finished romancing, can we move the bus now?! If I'd been a passenger on that bus, I'd have a thing or two to say about roadside romeos and romance! Tch, tch, sharam nahi aati aaj kal ke bacchon ko!
Benji's 'aankhin dekha haal' commentary was the best thing about the first half of the episode - kept me laughing and made it watchable! Mayank staying back - of course, expected - especially after the sbs, sbb and whatever else segments there have been. The poignancy of Mayank having to leave was kind of killed by those. Really, sbs et al need to edit what they're showing - kill the suspense!
Precap - Gunjan, stop lecturing the guy, for god's sake and start romancing! You have one episode to do what you like till the song starts. Tomorrow had better be a Sajan episode after this MN overdose! MN - hey bhagwan, Mayank, momma told you to stay back to do this?!
Point to ponder - why are MN's romantic segments so widely publicised and SG's not? Is it because that's really all there is to the MN story?
Help! HELP! WHAT a filmy episode! Right from Nupur running after bus, fainting, only to revive in (gasp) Mayank's arms - neat way of getting out of logistical details, I must say! And then the lines by Nupur - okay, those were not bad, poor thing ate humble pie very thoroughly but WHY was Mayank looking like strict headmaster throughout? And then the I love you from him - the only good line - are these many people enough or should i call more? And the holding in his arms ... eeks, in front of the whole world - if the first confession was public, this was super public! Sooo 'touching' ... and so utterly hilarious! And the audience clapping ... hehe ... they must have thought they were watching a film shooting! Oh wait, they were :)))
Sympathised with the bus conductor completely - if you guys have finished romancing, can we move the bus now?! If I'd been a passenger on that bus, I'd have a thing or two to say about roadside romeos and romance! Tch, tch, sharam nahi aati aaj kal ke bacchon ko!
Benji's 'aankhin dekha haal' commentary was the best thing about the first half of the episode - kept me laughing and made it watchable! SaNu and precap :)
2nd November episode
What I enjoyed about today - SaNu and precap :)
MN episode all the way. Rati is such a good actress - why is she given such crappy lines? Actually the big difference between DMG (the old one) and MJHT I find is the quality of dialogues - they were so natural in DMG and many sound very 'dialogue-like' here. Or maybe it's because the DMG actors were better and adlibbed well enough to make the dialogues sound completely natural.
Here Rati was so good in today's first scenes in the room, especially with Samrat - and Samrat was excellent. Again I say - hats off to this guy - he couldn't act when he started and he has really grown by leaps and bounds. In his serious scenes, he is really, really good. But I didn't like her dialogues. I liked Mayank's though - short and to the point, but I again found his expression lacking today after two excellent Sayank scenes last week. And he still didn't tell Nupur exactly what happened in Morena. Not the way he told Samrat. So expectations here from him as well - he expected Nupur to be there for him regardless - which she wasn't - as she realised - great acting by her there.
Samrat comes out smelling of roses again - turning out to be a great friend, for both Nupur and Mayank - he keeps his promise of looking after Nupur as well as Gunjan :) I liked the way he blasted Mayank on the phone - he seems to be the only guy not scared of him! Gunjan to my disappointment had nothing to do today - why don't the creatives give her some good dialogues? Or any dialogues for that matter?
For once, quite logical how Dia et al didn't come to know that SG were locked in - I was wondering how they would handle that one. And now they'll be busy with MN for some time till MN take off on their private time - so SG have been conveniently forgotten :)
Big blooper today - when did Mayank acquire a cell phone??? And having acquired it, why didn't he use it when he left Morena? Or did mommy dearest gift it to him to communicate with Nupur from Bangalore? Forget it, momma, don't you know that's one thing they don't do - communicate!!!
Didn't like Nupur running behind bus :( And is Mayank going to hear her? Silly scene. They could have had a much less dramatic but more believable scene of her going to his home when he and momma are leaving, bags packed and had a reconciliation there. And why are Mayank and mom not taking their car? Was it a company car? Hmm ... might explain why momma never let him use it - now that actually makes some sense.
I was very apprehensive about the song with the MN coverage - but fortunately SG seem to have been spared the 'hawtness'! Precap for SG - sigh - forehead kiss - exactly what I wanted. And then the goldfish bowl and holding of hands - I think they're going to have their share of sizzle. G seems to be getting over her 'no-touch' phase. :)
Blooper - bad, bad editing! Gunjan's hairstyle keeps changing all the time - loose in front when she's with Nupur and then tight behind the ears in the scenes with Samrat. Obviously their scenes were shot separately, but I wish she had the better hairstyle when alone with Samrat!
