Weekly Shiddats

I repeat from last week ...

Romance between the newly wed couple
Romance between the newly wed couple
Romance between the newly wed couple
Romance between the newly wed couple
Romance between the newly wed couple

Now that I've got that across ...

Khushi to remain smart, funny, quirky and loving ... NOT lapse into buffoonery and juvenile behaviour Angry In case she does, may TRP's plummet, so that the cv's know that clown Khushi does NOT WORK!

Sandy's scene on Arnav's birthday ... Khushi scales back her plans for Arnav's birthday after the family tells her ... Arnav doesn't come home in time, Khushi gets upset ... he finally comes home to see their room in darkness, the terrace set up with a small celebration for two, similar to the one he set up for Khushi's birthday and Khushi is missing. Frantic hunt for her ... finds her in the temple, praying for his long life and happiness ... some major roothna-manana.

    1. J..that's one adorable interview!!! :))

loved Barun as he says "yeah yeah...you go watch a movie the very next day after you are divorced.." :P hahaha!

one of the most amazing things abt SaRun is that they don't shy away from making their opinion abt the current track/scene..or even their characters, for that matter.. they are the first ones to crack jokes abt their own or each others' characters.. :)

    2. madsie, you're doing a lot of adoring lately.. how is the AD romance going? :p

  2. Shiddat to romance :)

I am starved for the instrumantal piano RV!

Khushi to not fold clothes in her room - give her something else to do pleej - she knows chikankaai, can discuss recipes with shukla, oh heck she can do something towards making that room hers - hang a few fairy lights, wind chime also back, stars - hmm i am not sure if she needs them no more cos arnav is by her side..basically now that she has the haq, make her haq and presence on the room felt.

Better clothes for Khushi - not the multi colour horrors she gets. Give her long kurtis and leggings / jeans and skirts if you wish. I will even sit thru a scene of Khushi wondering what Nani would think, Arnav reassuring her that as long as she is comfortable why not, she can still wear her dupatta. If Nani has an issue it comes up and ASR pyaar se tells Nani that he would prefer his wife to wear things in which she would be more acceptable in he scoiety he moves. Not that she should give up her old dresses, just add a few she styles she is comfortable with. Oh and can Khushi please wear nightdresses in her room at night - not that I do not love her pastel night suits but still does ASR own a fashion house or not?

Menaingful involvement of family. Nani and Akash are wonderful characters, please gte off your lazy backsides and weave them in well. Anjali is not the only family in that house.

A phone call (even one sided) of Khushi speaking to buaji or her mum and telling them of what happened and how Anali patched up with her. I would not mind if at that point Arnav enters the room and hears her conversation by the poolside and also hears her tell her mum how he bore a 3 hour salman khan movie for her - all us newly wed girls love to preen about our hubbies going that extra mile for us.

Can Arnav be shown to give Khushi a credit card and explain how she can use it when she goes out.

A nice ArHi scene by the poolside.

ArHi scene in the car - SUV or not.

Another ArHi scene in the new spacious cabin Arnav has after months of renovation. (glassless somemore) :)
Khushi bringing him lunch is also ok and then they share the meal - she could have attempted to make him something he likes basis what Nani and Anjali told her. Or even for something as archaic as him having forgotten his medicines at home so she comes over to give it to him - thoda scolding to Arnav is ok with the man soaking in all the love and attention.

Arnav teaching Khushi to use a computer to surf the internet, use youtube to see videos and such for her entertainment.

A decent Navratri celebration on the show. Kanya pooja repeat with a recall of the Nainital trip b/w ArHi and the dhaba aunty and uncle. And then Khushi recalls how he beat up goons for her and maybe in a rush of love says arrey you have to done in real life what Salam Khan does on screen. Sorry haan Salmanji, I think my hubby better action hero than you :)

Arnav needs to be missing in the day for a while on office work. He cannot always work from home. Either find Khishi a job in Ar as a traditional wear designer or give her a decent vocation - oh perhaps she learns English (inspired by Dia's aunt) in preparation for their UK trip

More later when I cook up something in my khuraafaati dimaag

    1. I liked the gold and orange suit in the last scene on Friday ... and then I saw the shocking pink dupatta!!! *HEAD DESK*

Adding MAJOR SHIDDAT force to that ... new wardrobe for Khushi... something befitting a tycoon's wife!

I want that scene of her bringing his medicines for him and scolding him for forgetting them ... Hayeee!!!

      Karva chauth please ...

    2. Oh u girls...how do u manage to cook up a delicious wishlist?...adding the shiddat force to that....that seems all i can do...

I don't know if what i am going to write below a wishlist...its really not a wishlist but just a thot

U know when the "atoot vishwas" six month post marriage track was on...not many of us really knew that the track was really about it...yes..we had a fair idea when each of the mini-tracks started achieving something including the apparently OTT tracks....but in hindsight almost everything started to fall in place...and we really started to appreciate the point of Cvs better in hindsight.....

I am really hoping something like that is in place even now and not some aimless wandering here ....yes, i get that the writers are becoming lazy in drumming up the exact thing....I just thot instead of enjoying a track in hindsight, i want to enjoy it at the very start knowing there is a whole purpose to this outing....

Well even if not.....the delicious scenes u guys write is sufficient to give me the fresh headrush to see ARHI with non-jaded eyes.....talk about being HAA.....hehehe

    3. Dia,
Ditto on the orange gold outfit. For a moment, I thought K must be making a gradual progress towards more tasty outfits.
In fact, I think it will be more acceptable that way, if slowly her tastes change to match her hotwa hubby's. I don't expect it to happen overnight. But ASR is clear about one thing, he will not interfere in her preference in clothes- he bought that B'day saree with that dialogue- I got the type that you like! Maybe, the day he buys her a saree that he likes, she will be shown to wear it.(Though the last, dark peach was really nice.)

      Rekh,
I don't think it is aimless wandering...I have to go back and read the weekend discussions, I did not read the full thing...but I got the impression that J has written something nice. I had the same feeling even though I did not re-watch friday, when you know what to expect, it is actually a cute epi.

On that statement of K's awakening, it does not have to be too loud for television, it can be done quite delicately in so many ways, for eg. K toying with his shirt buttons. In fact, they've already shown it once during the kasrat scene where bitiya could not take her eyes off him.

Again on aimless wandering, if you are still irritated with the way they handled Anjali- if you know the beginning and the end, the whole track actually falls in to place. We had the basics of Anjali- the strong sister that was there all through and I always knew that Anjali cannot become a negative character, so I read the whole track based on that and for me, only the Anjali post miscarriage was done carelessly...till then actually everything she did fell into place for me.

Re-inforces my hope that it is not aimless wandering.
But, IPK takes a special effort to teach us patience.

    4. Su,

Anji is too far from my mind...if i can help it, i will forget she is around becos frankly she did not live up to the promise in the story for me.....thats not a complaint.....
and well when Arnav himself underestimated his sis strength to bear the loss hum kis khet ke mooli hain..humara MU toh lazmi hain...LOL

When i talked of aimless wandering, i meant more in terms of what it wants to establish but i am certainly not averse to aimless wandering if they involve any romantic scene of ARHI becos i have said many times...they don't need any history or logic to spew magic on screen. Bas they have to be in the same frame and do some serious RV....magic apne aap ho gaya!

    5. Rekh,
I wanted to write a long post on 'what could have been' if the story was not muddled with (according to my perspective), time constraints today, I 'll write on it some other day.

Based on Fri's epi, Aaru asked if the movie READY was there for a reason. I FIRMLY believe it to be so.

Watch the whole movie dialogues once more. She says "Kya plan banaaya Arnavji ne"- this is probably the next track. READY is about a girl who has to be rescued from her uncles and very soon, I feel K will also have to be rescued from her 'uncles', not the Gupta ones.

I have always expected a track like this and READY is a confirmation of sorts for me.

On BFTP and 'GH getting revelation of K's majboori in getting married' - I feel these have not reached 360 because the tracks changed, they had to re- write the whole story. There is no point bashing them up for it, hopefully they'll find a way around it, but it'll take some time. Remember I used to scream that I want RTR (LOL)- I don't feel cheated because I know they had to change the story and I really pity them for it.
If the RTR track was on, BFTP would've continued in some small way, GH would've come to know about the forced wedding ...all I mean is there was scope for all this then. And I really hope they have not cancelled Dadi's contract. Right now, my biggest grouse with PH is: No one has bothered to mention dadi. Anjali who said "I missed you, all this would not have happened if you were around. Why did you leave us?" does not sparew a thought about her. Neither does nani, who can at least wonder aloud if Sumi is fine. All this could mean hthat they have scrapped a large chunk of BFTP, or more opimistic me is hoping that the CVs just don't want to concentrate there for now...

On fri- I think none of us liked that conference scene. One thing I liked was that the buyers appreciated K's dress sense, ASR has a "WT" expression and then he has that look which says, "WTH, it is your money and your tastes. If THIS is what you want, take it". It did not look like he gave much respect for their opinion. PLUS the huge thing about that cheesy scene was that it saved K a lot of embarassment. If they had given a "WT" expression or laughed..... I can't even imagine how much more I'd have had to cringe. As it is, I muted my TV when she started with "ILU". So, thank you, REALLY STRANGE buyers with a strange sense of fashion.

    6. Oops I wrote tasty outfits...giggle...I meant 'tasteful'.

And wanted to add: Right now, I feel none of us have much of a clue what this is about.
I agree with you, so long as they show both of them- it is more than enough...for sometime. Hopefully, by then the CVs will have a clue as to what they want to show. *wink*

    7. rekha, you said it girl, it was ulta decoding.. the clients' sense is so far off arnav's that he simply cannot believe that they liked khushi's outfits.. and, quoting here, "WTH, it is your money and your tastes. If THIS is what you want, take it". thats what the CVs told SP.

waisey, there was a scene in the theater where khushi forgot everything, bumped off arnav and sat down to watch..someone at IF said that was a riff at the audience.. that is exactly how a lot of fans all over the world react when it is 8 pm on a weekday :D

But....mera kuch nain ho saktha.....i am like tat last comment in ur post about 8 pm (3.30 pm GMT)..i can drop off anything and watch for scraps of ARHI, feel disgruntled when that is not forthcoming and ten find ways to rant about tracks, mini-tracks and all tat hog wash....fact is i an ARHI/SARUN deprived soul atm....LOL....

    10. J...I am sure Su only meant to just get K to relook at her own self.....she seems to have forgotten some of it in this Di puran.....so just a recap needed....nothing that a few searing looks from bitwa can't change.....

btw, this Bombay Jaishree number is one sexy number....i just love it......the picturisation in the org song didn't do justice to the sensuality in the lyrics but the VM is 100% perfect...

    11. J, Rekh,

WOW! What a VM! Agree that is a 100% perfect video. I could never like this song after vaseegara, but this VM has made the song beautiful.

One scene which I'd have loved is K placing bitwa's hands on her midriff in his dream sequence of TM2.
J, on the sensuality issue, it is as Rekha described. Plus I guess I am looking for a re-enactment of bitwa's dream, where she takes the initiative.(OK. Full stop on that thought since all we seem to be getting is OTT bitiya.)

Where is the girl who told her husband that she is not ashamed of anything they did that passionate night at the hut? I think the problem with bitiya is that she has a short attention span. And her memory is not so great, either- poor bitwa, he has to work twice as hard! (Well, I am not complaining; HE is the one who escaped RTR.)

    12. Sorry, passionate night at the farmhouse.

Song dedication to the spirit that is Khushi...I mean, only for the OTT Khushi...

main albeli, ghoomoon akeli, koi paheli hoon main
ho, main albeli, ghoomoon akeli, koi paheli hoon main

main bhi nahin jaanoon aakhir hoon main kya
in the end, even i do not know exactly what i am

tu albeli, ghoome akeli, koi paheli, paheli
you are lovely, you wander alone, an enigma, an enigma

mere hisse mein aayi hain kaisi betaabiya
such is my share of troubles
mera dil ghabraata hai main chaahe jaaoon jaha
no matter where i go, my heart worries

meri bechaini le jaaye mujhko jaane kahan
god knows where my restlessness might take me
main ek pal hoon yahan main ek pal hoon yahan, main hoon ek pal vahan
i'm here one moment, there the next

tu baawali hai tu manchali hai
you are crazy, you are capricious
sapnon ki hai duniya jis mein tu hai pali
you've been raised in a world of dreams

shyam aur savere, sau rang mere
mine, the hundred shades of dawn and dusk
main bhi nahin jaanoon aakhir hoon main kya
in the end, even i do not know exactly what i am

      oh tu albeli, o
hm, hm, main woh raahi hoon jiski koi manzil nahin
i am the traveler without a destination
main woh armaan hoon jiska koi haasil nahin
i am that longing which knows no object

main hoon woh mauj ke jiska koi saahil nahin
i am the wave that has no shore
mera dil naazuk hai mera dil naazuk hai, patthar ka mera dil nahin
my heart is fragile, my heart is not made of stone
      tu anjaani, tu hai deewani

I hated the vaseegera picturisation a bit more the hindi remake, in fact, i have only seen it fleetingly.....but on a long drive, we ended up carrying this Cd and somehow fell in love with the song...i like the hindi song more than the tamil one....and the singer has done ample justice to it....but yes the song falls flat when u see it on screen becos of the silly picturisation....but today, the VM resurrected it for me...so J thanks for the link....its like TM....its now a SARUN song....can't imagine anyone else in tat

    14. J, Rekhs, Su,

I am actually ignoring this new clueless Khushi they showed on Thursday and Friday because I cannot fit her character into the mental picture I have of Khushi. Maybe I'm wrong, and they do plan to persist with the sensual awakening of Khushi ... but if you look at the scenes all through the re-marriage - most of them are in that VM - then a Khushi who is clueless about her husband's desire for her just does not fit in her character as of now. Neither does Arnav' sudden bashfulness about holding her hand in a movie theater. This couple has always been very physically aware of each other ... maybe it's a toning down of the awareness, the way they did after the forced marriage when they even started sharing a bed, and seemed completely unaffected by each other ... maybe channel dictates ... I don't know.

For me, Khushi discomfort with physical closeness started decreasing from the GH trip, when she did the tel maalish for him. Till then the contract marriage always stopped her from giving in to Arnav ... once the contract marriage was dealt with, the next barrier was the incomplete wedding. And the barriers to that started slowly shedding during the remarriage rasams, and evaporated finally at the BP, when against all her beliefs, her morals, she gave in to him completely. Now how far they went was left to our imagination ... but whatever - it was clear that she dropped her inhibitions that night. And the night after they got married, she was ready for SR, Arnav backed off ...
So this clueless Khushi makes no sense to me, especially as a woman who has already indulged in some lovemaking with her husband should be far more aware of him, and keen to spend some alone time with him. I'm putting it down to poor writing as of now, and waiting to see if they persist with it.

Like I said, I would prefer it if this was more about them both gradually changing and adapting themselves to live with each other - he agreed to go for a Hindi movie for her sake, she then bought tickets for an English movie for him - for just the two of them, as he wanted. She wants to wear the colors he loves, even though her own preference is for bright bold colors. And since Arnav has already done a lot of changing for Khushi, time for Khushi to return the favor ... not change her basic nature, but to acquire the polish and grace she needs to have as Mrs ASR. Like we always wanted Arnav to be Arnav only with Khushi, but to be ASR for the world, similarly, Khushi to be Mrs ASR for the world, but be her crazy Khushi self with Arnav ... because that's what he fell in love with. And if they show him teaching her - like Eliza Doolittle and Prof Higgins, that could be a really cute track ... Khushi's craziness would fit right in with her growing education.

    15. U know Dia...i was reading with interest the jugalbandi of comments between Sandy and u in the previous post....and i can say the disparity of views is becos of the confusion in the narrative..

I will go back to my comment above on the atoot vishwas....it has elements which did not suit all sensibilities...some real OTT tracks but the justification for those tracks were still there...if u see Khushi was OTT in the swami track, becos she wanted to trouble Arnav.....we used to cringe at times but they finally made sense at the culmination of the track.

However, here, i am not able to see anything clearly...and i put this purely to the lack of inspiration for the writers from te makers or that the writers are plain lazy.....

I always thot there will be the track that u mentioned above...becos plain and simple, they come from diff strata of soc...so some amount of adj is only natural..and what better time than when u are committed to living together in thought and deed...unlike the prev tracks when they weren't even sure of the relationship....so if they turn it to something beautiful, it will be another milestone in their journey....

  3. DM / Godjee - Grant me this one shiddat please!

Dear IPK Team (all of you - channel, PH, actors),

Your lack of interest and the missing A-team shows in the final epi delivered. If you are done with all the negotiations or as soon as you get them done to everyone's satisfaction, please hold a press conference and issue a terse, unified statement about the show. (I have no interest in knowing if BS or SI or both have new offers, if Gul is a problem child or even if SP is a closet puraani soch channel under all that nayi soch talk).

We at R&R have stood by you esp Dia has with her beautiful edits in good times and bad, sat thru filler epis and waited with bated breath for the intense love story on our screens. We have waxed eloquent when you delivered magical epis, accoladed all of you and crowned you for the magical duo of Arnav and Khushi.

Everytime nafrat ripped at them, we waited for teh mohabbat to show and when mohabbat oozed, we feared for teh next wave of nafrat.

Like Rajesh Khanna said in Anand - it does not matter if life is not long, however long life is it should be a good one! He told AB's character that I shall not stay with you to see myself die each day in your eyes and in the defeat they show

Because when I finally close my eyes and recall these mad days I want to be able to hum
Jo mere dil ke paas hain naye jaadu naye ehsaas hain
Inko main kya kahoon tu hi bata tu hi bata...

If the goals of all concerned have changed fair enough. Rather than subject us to inaneness, please take the trouble to run this last lap in the marathon with as much fervour as you ran the first, knowing you shall soon all be out of your misery of doing things grudgingly for the bechaari audience.

Jump leap hop death whatever it takes in a meaningful, nuanced, magical way, ignite the screens one last time for all of us and end it with fond memories for us to keep. Loads of FBs liberal use of all the RV variations, evrything is ok. You want to fill 2 epis with a Making of IPK like thing also can do.

You yourself said it - Pyaar sabse badaa hota hai, nafrat se bhi badaa. So set aside all the nafrat and angst all of you have cooked up and show us all some much deserved mohabbat.

You owe the fans, all us audiences who have made you all so popular this one wish!

P.S: I could never wish IPK had not happened to me because then R&R would not have and today this blog and all the girls here are a part of my life. So don't soil the memory for me by ruining what made me find all of them to begin with.
