Khushi's suspicions get worse and worse ... starting with bad dreams about Arnav's admission about Sheetal, Aarav's resemblance to Arnav and everyone's remarks on it ...
Waking at night to sit and worry, wondering if she's going overboard in thinking what she's thinking ... (SN - hope they're not going to make this comic like the suicide track!!!)
Arnav can see her going crazy with worry over Sheetal, but she denies it ... and makes up a story about her own past ... Arnav's imagination is weird!!! Well, with a name like Baankelal, can't blame him!
And Khushi's imagination is very badly timed ... in the middle of a romantic moment?! Jeez!!!
Arnav knows something is up with Khushi ... he saw her go this crazy during the suicide track, so hope he will catch on to Khushi's insecurities earlier this time round ...
Morning - Khushi has another What The moment with her imagination ... and Arnav's shirt ...
And yet another when Sheetal arrives in the morning ... and everyone insists she come in ... Aarav pipes up at the right moment about missing breakfast ... so she 'gives in ...'
Another very contrived moment with breakfast, toast and juice ... yes, we get that Aarav eats toast like Arnav!
I rather liked Khushi's slight irritation with Aarav's demand for toast and juice ... she's not happy with Aarav. Aarav pipes up again about not wanting to go with his mom ... and wangles an invitation for himself to watch with Arnav ... Sheetal makes some protest about not wanting to bother the family, overruled ... and Sheetal wants her prescriptions. So Khushi decides to accompany her and probe about Aarav's father.
First time I felt Sheetal was being deliberate - in the doctor's office, when she doesn't answer Khushi's probe about Aarav's father, and then when she seemed to deliberately turn the question of Aarav's diabetes to being inherited, and her expressions once the doctor said that, and Khushi was struck silent. A silent satisfaction ... my work is done.
Precap - Arnav's expression when Khushi invites Sheetal to stay ... he's not happy.
*edited*
Nothing much more to add, except that this is looking more and more like a plan ... is it Shyam's plan? He borrowed Khushi-NK's plan about spying with cameras, and did a better job ... now is he borrowing from Khushi's plan of mind games, and again playing with the one person he knows will get affected? Or is this all Sheetal's doing independently?
Arhi at night - Khushi's mind is not at rest even after Arnav's reassurance, the resemblance, Mami's words, all preying on her and making her restless, so much so that she can't sleep ... she can't make jalebis so late at night because the whole house will get disturbed, so a fall back on her other stress buster - eating chanas.
SN - missing touches- Arhi sleeping so far apart? They're newly married, for heavens' sakes ... show them sleeping cuddled up before Khushi starts her restlessness! And Arnav reaching out to her in his sleep before he wakes up and sees her missing ... rather than just wake up and look on her side of the bed!
And Khushi's main worry is not really Sheetal, it's all about Aarav. As we discussed - an old flame she could deal with quite easily, but a child is a different matter, it ensures that the past can not stay quietly buried in the past, it will affect the present. Hence her worry is all about Aarav, her upset - why did he have to come into their lives, why does he resemble Arnav so much, why did Mami have to say Arnav's son would be exactly like Aarav?!
Arnav wakes up ... sees she is upset ... but she denies it ...
'you didn't make jalebis?'
'Because the whole house would have gotten disturbed ...'
So he knows she's upset ... because she would have made jalebis if not for disturbing everyone ... and he puts his finger on the cause too ...
'I told you Sheetal was my past ... she means nothing to me ... stop behaving like other wives ...'
So an upset Khushi now can't even tell him that yes, she was worrying about Sheetal or rather her son ... because he doesn't want her to behave like typical wives ... so she makes up a story about her own colorful past ...
SN - a paanvala??!! Really?! And that's supposed to make a tycoon jealous? Honestly, CV's, do you have to make Khushi so brainless?! Or is that a reflection of your own intellectual level? Ridiculous! You make a creation and then can't follow through on it yourselves!!! Or is this to show that Arnav is so sure of Khushi that he can't get jealous of anyone in Khushi's life? Or to show that he thinks only someone the level of a paanvala would be attracted to her?
SN2 - even in that ridiculous fb, the acting was good ... Sanaya maintained the Khushiness perfectly, and the paanvala was cute!
Liked Khushi's dialogue ... everyone has a past jo aaj 'meant nothing' ho jaata hai.
And of course, Arnav is not the least bit jealous, he's just a bit worried if Khushi is really okay ... her sanak is back big time, and that usually means she is disturbed about something ... and her strong claims that she is fine probably mean she's not okay at all ...
Found the Rabba ve a bit mistimed ... was he really turned on by Khushi there? I thought he should have been still perplexed, trying to look behind her facade ...
And uff ... cv's have found a new way to interrupt a Rabba ve ... Khushi's own imagination! Arnav understandably perplexed ... 'are you really okay?'
And he draws her close gently and pats her head as though she's a child ... 'let's sleep, okay?' and Khushi's woebegone agreement ... 'okay' ... yes, she needs to sleep, to stop thinking all these weird thoughts ...
But morning dawns, and the thoughts haven't gone ... they return in full force as Khushi wakes to see Sheetal adjusting Arnav's collar, and loses it again ... 'stop doing that!' And as she sees this was all her imagination, a sulky order 'don't wear this shirt!' to Arnav who's even more perplexed ...
And Khushi knows she's cracking up, telling herself to stop thinking all these weird thoughts ... but she just can't get it out of her mind ...
so when she sees Sheetal at the door, she thinks it's her imagination again ... and orders her to go away ...
But the rest of the family invites Sheetal in warmly, and Sheetal makes a big production of being in a hurry and she's come only to pick up her prescription.
Liked Aarav's glare at Khushi, and Khushi's troubled look back ... she is in no mood to be warm towards Aarav now!
Aarav tells his mother to hurry up because he's hungry and that results in maternal instincts of all the R ladies rushing to the fore ... the child is hungry?! Then how can you leave without eating?
SN - So Sheetal doesn't give her son breakfast before taking him out in the morning? Really?! This is starting to smell very fishy.
Sheetal waits till Arnav appears and adds his invitation, then comes in, still making a show of being unwilling ... Khushi is not happy at all, either at Arnav's invitation, nor at Sheetal's agreement ...
Loved Khushi's sulky "I know" to Aarav's demand for toast and juice ... did nobody teach this kid the magic words Please and Thank you?
Again, how many ways are there of eating toast anyway? But of course, Khushi is now totally wound up and seeing Arnav and Aarav eating toast and drinking juice in unison freaks her out even more.
SN - This did seem very overdone here ...
Aarav starts a new drama ... he wants to go back to the hotel, he isn't in the 'mood' to go to the doctor's, and their new house is very dusty, so he doesn't want to go there. And Sheetal can't leave him alone in the hotel, because again, she's in a hurry and has lots of work to do. Nani chimes in and Sheetal says Aarav only wants to watch football, so he's making excuses.
Arnav wants to watch the match too ... and Khushi is upset ... 'you didn't tell me you liked football?'
And Sheetal gives a small smile.
But Arnav still doesn't do the needful, i.e issue an invitation ... so Aarav finally asks directly ... 'can I watch the match with you?'
This could have been the natural question from a small boy with a new male figure in his life when he hasn't had any male figure till now ... but considering that Aarav has been shown to be very reserved, it seemed out of character ... or coached. Mother brought up football, Aarav confirmed he loved the sport, which Arnav also enjoys ... well, most guys enjoy watching football, no big deal really ... but then between them, mother and son angled for an invitation for Aarav to stay and watch the match with Arnav, with all the reasons why Aarav has no other place to stay while his mom is busy.
Arnav shoots a quick glance to Khushi ... but in his mind, she's upset with Sheetal, not Aarav ... so 'of course.'
Sheetal makes a protest which seemed more for forms' sake than anything else. Anjali adds her invitation and Khushi is really angry now that Anjali keeps calling Aarav Chotey!
And Khushi now gets proactive ... if she wants to confirm her suspicions, she is going with Sheetal to probe further.
Liked the way Arnav and Nani immediately got worried when Khushi wanted to go to the doctor ... thank god for that show of concern!
Mami tells Sheetal to get out and that Aarav won't miss her. Is that a message from the cv's?
Khushi leaves with Sheetal, Arnav is a bit disturbed ... Aarav gives him a slight one-sided smile, and he grimaces back ...
Doctor's office ... a different doctor from the one Khushi called. Blood tests done by this doctor? Not by yesterday's guy? So is this also a set up? And the doctor tells Sheetal that Aarav has diabetes, Khushi tells her not to worry and she will help her in how to look after Aarav. Sheetal is all worried, how did this happen, he doesn't eat sweets ... the doctor says it's hereditary, from mom or dad. And Sheetal loses all her concern and says, yes, I'll look after Aarav ... after a very tiny look at Khushi and a very small satisfied smile.
When doc told Sheetal about diabetes, her first question was how can that happen? Doc went into how to treat, Khushi said she will help ... Sheetal ignored all that and went back to 'how can this happen?'
Natural for a mom to ask? Yes, possibly.
For a mom who knows that her son's father is diabetic? And she is trying to hide that son's father from the father's wife?
Or did she not know till now that Arnav was diabetic?

For a mom who knows that her son's father is diabetic? And she is trying to hide that son's father from the father's wife?
Or did she not know till now that Arnav was diabetic?
brief overview.. arnav has a ROFL flashback of khushi's bankelal-ji. (sanaya retains that khushi-essence even in that role! )
ReplyDeletekhushi cant sleep, sits at poolside. arnav wakes up, comes over, manaos her, a rabba ve that was funny (first in the line of many, i guess)
khuhsi slaps arnav for trying to kiss her.
morning she 'sees' sheetal adjusting his collar for him, jumps out of bed all angry and finds out that she imagined it. sheetal comes to pick up aarav's prescription.. khushi tells her to go away, thinking it is another hallucination.
sheetal is rushing to go because she is shifting from hotel into new house in the evening, but aarav is hungry, they get invited for breakfast.. we get a clone type scene where arnav and aarav sit side by side and do everything together. they bond over some football match happening in the evening..aarav gets invited to stay in RM while mom is busy with errands. khushi offers to go with sheetal to pick up the blood test results.. (so, that was why the doc took injection and went! it was a blood sample!) and the (new) doc informs sheetal and khushi (yeah, she's invited in the doctor's room too) that aarav has diabetes.. so now khushi is taking time to think this through. precap, khushi invites sheetal and aarav to stay at RM till the find the "lost" key.
doc took blood samples??? like really? do they do that at your home?? i never knew :/
Deletewell until yesterday we thot why was the doc giving an inj for a fainting spell....now we know the doc had taken a blood sample....this is the slooooow unraveling of the asr-aarav mystery after making sure we have had sufficient discussion on inherited and imbibed traits ....yaaaawn!!
Deletethe boy has diabetes...does sheetal diabetes too since she is like arnav herself, can u get diabetes while "seeing' someone....socheka padi....
can u get diabetes while "seeing' someone....socheka padi.... ROFL!!
Deleteseriosly yaar... the cvs are going overboard with the asr and ASR similarities... they really think we are so dumb huh?? i mean they try to fool us with technical details... but parenting an children??
krish, yes, doctors who make house calls usually do that, and every other test.. usually for rich patients who dont want to go to the clinic or for sick patients who cannot go to the clinic.
Deleteso the doctor who came yesterday just took the blood samples and today sheetal went to the clinic to get the results.
makes sense that they are trying to do a bit of education for those who dont understand how children can get diabetes.
(in the lamp and wick show, yesterday i saw a snippet of a husband explaining to his wife about the concept of an ATM card.. so i guess star plus is indeed about educating the audience :D)
actually nothing wrong with the technicality...if they had shown diabetes y'day itself, they could not have shown it to be convo that only k is privy too and tests do take some time hain na?
Deleteanyways just for my understanding, is juvenile diabetes concluded on a blood sample when all other fasting/no fasting aspects are not taken or it does not matter...not related to ipk...just asking...don't they have more rgorous tests to conclude that it is not a one-off case? just wondering
i mean, i get the diabetes stuff.. they had to run tests... but what about the other similarities?? the breakfast scene was cute but loud, if u know what i mean.. there was no subtlety... it was like cvs want to shove it down our throat whether or not we want to accept it!!
Deletei think it was meant to be comic.. but without the funny music, it did not work.. i mean, only khushi saw the eerie similarity, nobody else at the table did? curious...
Deletedont you feel that the background music is a bit off these days? did the music department shift to the other show, too?
i have a feeling i will have to watch the other show..
J,
Deleteonly one working brain in rm rule...
Rekha, diabetes can be diagnosed on a single blood sample if the sugar is level is high enough, above a certain level is pretty much diagnostic. But it's not hereditary in the sense it can be in families, not necessarily mom or dad only.
DeleteAnd juvenile diabetes is treated with insulin injections, not tablets *head desk* It's a whole new lifestyle change especially for a child, it can't be handled with a casual prescription and an equally casual "oh your child has diabetes, I'll give him the medicine!" Needs a proper consultation with doctor, nurse, to teach the family how to give the daily injections and test blood glucose at home, and a dietician to draw up a regular diet chart!
Too much funny bg music ... I hope they don't take Khushi's suspicions the comic route like they did the suicide track, they will just ruin what could be a serious and very intense track!
And Krish, exactly! They're shoving the similarities down our throat ... now if this is a plan by Sheetal, then it works, but it's far too similar to be real!
and after sumtime its iritating to watch... the first arshi scene was what helped me sit thru that breakfast scne...
Deleteand plz cvs no repeat of suicide track... this is a genuinely good track with loads of scope on all fronts and needs lots of mature and sensible handling... for once let khushi be mature, retaining her sanak traits but confining them to the bedroom... plz dnt make her look stupid...
After re-watch ... the doc from yesterday was different from the first one, and Sheetal had got blood tests done from this guy, she merely wanted the prescription from Khushi's doc. So is this doctor a set up by Sheetal? Does Aarav really have diabetes? Because juvenile diabetes is NOT treated with medicines, it is treated with insulin injections.
DeleteOr is this just another one of the cv's laxity with medical facts - like the one that diabetics need only medicine and not regular meals alongside?
But then khushi did not think anything was amiss in visiting a diff doc.....must be case of that other doc not being available for shoot the next day...he must be a very busy 'extra" not having time for RM folks
Deletei think the whole doc scene was a blooper.. from the first arnav fainting episode, all the medical facts on this show have been bloopers.. wonder how so many doctors got hooked on this show!
Deletei think the story was "boy faints.. boy gets picked up by khushi..brought to RM doc checks.. nothing wrong now..takes blood sample, asks them to collect result tomorrow..gives paper, goes// next day, shital comes to collect paper, goes to clinic to get result, doc tells s and k that a has diabetes"
and how the screenplay was delivered was a big disappointment.. but then i guess i cannot expect a professional screenplay writer to know medical procedures.. unless he has a diabetic in his life, he would not know much about diabetes.. and he's too lazy to research in even the most rudimentary fashion..
sorry it is a rant.. dint mean to, but it just came out.
Doctors also have BDs on IPK and both make wrong diagnoses or prescribe wrong medicines.
DeleteOn the blood test -- I concur with dia-- after head desking on the tablets.
Sheetal seems to have taken the kid for a blood test on the doctor's advice the previous day. She came along to RM to collect the prescription from the previous day as she was going to the doctor anyway. Is a sugar test done as a routine one - and yes one sample is enough to determine diabetes...
CVs think diabetics should have their tablets to avoid becoming hypoglycaemic ( Dia don't hit me if I get the hypo/hyper confused... I mean low sugar and coma ).. but in reality its the other way.. the tablets set off hypoglycaemia.
Diabetes 101 classes for the CVs-- dia do you volunteers?
Dia, please volunteer only if they meet some common minimum program....hamari maange poori karo variety...waise hi muft ke bahut ideas mil chuki hain Cvs ko which they might implement in their other show...hmmmph!!
Delete*rofl* Sure thing ... This will be a long term project though - do they show ANY medical problems properly in ANY shows? Even in DMG which was a doctor based show for heavens' sake ... the thing which gets to me the most is when a doc says - this person is now in coma, if he/she comes out in 24/48/72 hours they will be fine, otherwise they will die.
Delete*head desk* *head desk* *head desk*
Oh and I saw the MOST ridiculous scene in Hitler Didi once - don't ask me why I was watching it ... when the doc tells her - you have a brain tumor and you have 30 or 31 days left to live. And the brainless bimbo asks him - 30 or 31? Be exact ... I have to plan the rest of my life!
And she was serious. I actually burst out laughing at the screen!
Ash, we have had this discussion on R&R umpteen times during those kidnapping episodes ... giving the meds for diabetes and not giving food with them ... sure shot recipe for hypoglycemia! Also - in which case, Aarav does not have diabetes ... or if he does, he didn't faint from hypo the previous day, because he wouldn't have recovered without sugar.
Kripya apne maansik santulan ke liye aaj IF se duriyan barkarar rakiye !!
ReplyDeleteSo it was not a halwaii but a paanwala ....rofl
She slapped him ... Damn it....missed todays epi and I guess going to miss it till next monday. Please someone put up a mini update as episode ends. Thanks !!
thank god, came to know that the doctor had taken blood for sample...it wasn't an injection....in the context of where the track is headed....its very important that Cvs keep it real LOL....actually that seemed to be the only high point of today's episode...
ReplyDeleteand since i did not watch the epi...how will they find the key staying in rm....oh silly me...forgot RM is the panacea of all ills...usse door rehna mushkil hi nahin namumkin hain....remember shyam said that..its the one place when only one brain can ever function at a time, in whatever form ....so since sheetal has shifted to rM, is it time for her brain to work and everyone else's to freeze....sorry arnav-anji siblings don't have it in the first place....
it reminds of this birbal story i read as a kid... birbal was asked by akbar to find 5 idiots... in his search he came across a man who was searching fo something under the street torch... birbal asked him what he is doin, and the man replied that he lost his key on his way back home from work and hence is looking for it here. birbal asked why is he searching here if he lost it on his way to which the irritated guy replies that the way is too dark and he cant see anything there. so he is searching it under the torch light where there is light!
Deletei know, completely off topic.. but dis thought kinda struck me when i saw the precap!!
LOL krish, that was epic!
Deletethey were going to move into a new house by evening.. so amybe the real estate people called sheetal and told her that they had misplaced the key, but she had already checked out of the hotel, so dint have a place to stay the night.. and instead of checking into another hotel, khushi offered ... makes sense, khatirdaari..
J, thats why u r the original BBE....u also point out when things can be understood in a diff way....
Deletelove ur logic always hugs
with khushi its more detectivegiri than khatirdari... and some wheels definitely turned in arnav's head! he know his pagal biwi is upto something..
DeleteKrish if he did not wonder what she was upto especially after her not so convincing performance last night..i would have seriously questioned that 'shatir' dimaag of his!!
DeleteI guess CTs never heard of keymakers. Th one down the road from my place can whip up a new one on the lock within 10 minutes flat - or are hey under the impression that only soap impressioned keys get will work :S
Deleteanita, u stil blv in dat myth?? for the record, ASR has no shatir dimaag... it was just a rumour fueled by IF fandom.. spare the poor guy :P
DeleteOr maybe the key is not 'lost' as in mil jayegi ... but the estate agents said they would give it today, and then got delayed by a day or two ... that does happen. And Sheetal conveniently checked out of the hotel ... and of course her room is not available any more!
DeleteCan't believe this - we're trying to explain the bloopers!
Hilarious arshi scene at the beginning.... nthn lyk a slap to turn of ur hubby i guess! BS was super good today, his subtle cottoning onto the fact that his super jealous biwi is tying to get him jealous of her past much the same way she is getting all bothered about his past... i loved that expression and the dialogues that followed...
ReplyDelete"you are the coolest person i know" Rabba Ve!!!
i loved dat entire scene! even the last hug, whre arnav is apprehensive and holds her gingerly, afraid she might launch another attack on him... he definitely didnt expect to be slapped when attemptin to kiss his wife...
"We'll get some sleep, okay"...ROFL!!
the rest was a bit too much... ASR and asr eating toast alike! *head desk*
khushi's doubts crystallizing in her minds and she wants to get some truth out of sheetal... sheetal very uncomfortable at the mention of asr's dad... though i detected a knowing look on sheetal's face when K told he arnav has diabetes too and she'll help he with asr's diet... she seemed to be telling, "oh really, you are telling me that??" was i seeing too much??
i still dont want asr to be ASR's son!!! plz !!
"you are the coolest person I know" really? The ASR does not know any other cool ppl? is he such a laad governor that his life is within his four walls?
Deleteyes, it was a good compliment.. but sadly out of context, i felt. and what did he get for the compliment? a slap!
:D
waisey, barun has his arms around an awful lot of ladies!! and that sheetal rabba ve seemed to progress far faster thatn the usual khushi rabba ves which take more than five minutes :D
J! i think he said it aise hi...
Deletej, that god it progressed that fast, if it hadn't i would have thrown soemthing at him and to my own peril...mera hi nuksaan hotha....i guess they did not want to prolong it...kya fayda..
Deletehow many ladies has barun arms around?? kyun bhai....he has done a 2-3 serials before this hain na? so bhay are u saying that?
no, sometimes i wonder.. there is khushi, there is di, there is la, then now sheetal.. it was not a note at barun per se.. but a jab at ASR, if you will.. hugs, forehead kisses, lift-n-carry,
Deletei guess i just dont like a guy being so touchy feely with anyone other than his partner.. in this case, khushi.
if sheetal rabba ve prolonged a lot many tvs would have seen their end!! like rekha's i'm sure :)
Deletethe coolest person comment was just arnav humouring khushi, or so i felt... arnav was being indulgent to khushi...
ab tune pate ki baat ki.....this is the very reason i can't like today's epi and i am sarcastic abt it...comeon they got sheetal in to their poolside/bedroom....prize idiots or sadists? take ur pick
DeleteJ, same goes for face cuppings too!! some gestures are meant to be intimate and shared only between a couple, nahi?
Deletethe poolside need thorough detoxing... dere were many shyam-khushi scenes too right? now we have sheetal arnav scenes :(
Deletebtw, shyam and sheetal.. same first letters a coincidence? or does it hint at something??
exactly krish!! but then, face cupping was anjali's modus operandi.. with everyone from lakshmi the goat to hariprakash! (er.. not hari prakash, i'm sure)
Deleteso, that is not intimate anymore, KWIM?
anji was cupping even aarav's face y'day!! *eye roll*
DeleteKWIM??? i dint get it..
stupid anji was face cupping that aarav boy yesterday....and then she asked sheetal how i do not know abt u and sheetal....i thot it was think aloud question for audience benefit and only when sheetal answered, i realised she actually asked that 'poor' woman ....arre how will she know why u don;t know?
Deletei meant u and chotte....today i loved khushi's exp when ani said chottey twice for that chotu....
Deleteyaar btw, if he is not arnav's son, any plausible reason he has diabetes.unless sheetal also has diabetes.....kya bolte ho?
we'll just be running in circles if we try to analyse the non-existing inteligence of anji!!
Deletepplz dont go down that track!! i cant suffer heart breaks.. not even virtual and fictional ones... and defn not for arhi :(
Deleteread mental exotica post *rofl*

Krish,
DeleteKWIM = Know What I Mean
Rekha,
ASR / Arnav was never this touchy feely and that is why those RVs worked for he hld only her in that way. With Di he used to only hold her hands in his.
Aaj kal nothing is sacred, na forehead kiss, na cupping face, na hug, na lifts - sabka fumigation karka padi..can we please port them out of RM.
I always agreed with Shweths, RM vaastu does not good to ArHi privacy.
And haila - agar Anjali was going to get over Shyam so soon, Arnav pause an think for a mo why you did not throw him out that night you came to know. She has hapily gone on to wearing shiny sarees, new fancy jewellery, no MS no bindi, khuli latein, reliving her teenage years aur yahaan Khushi ke baal safed hone ki naubat aa gayi hai..
yeah, look at anji yaar.. new hairstyle, new saree, complete change in make over.. what was the whole point of not letting anji know the truth earlier??? she seems to be totally cool with it. quoting ASR she is actualy the coolest person i've known :P
Deletesandy and krish,
Deletesince she is so cool, why don't we ask how do we detox from ipk yaar....she must have some cool mantra the way she detoxed from 'humare' "inhone', 'inhe' 'shyamji'
i guess it comes with being a raizada... family trait or something.. the entire family doesnt remember mama either, right?? and he was a good person... or lakshmi, i thot she was the jaan of nani..
Deletethey all act alike, after all thats how raizada genetics work...
*rofl* very true ... a year and a half of drama to spare Anjali the pain of knowing about her KP, in the fear that she would shatter to pieces ... ab pata chala they needn't have bothered! No thoughts of VLR at all ... that fire was a very powerful one, Anji burnt all her memories of Shyamji also, along with the photos and shirts ... and hangers!
DeleteWhat a DI ... what a dimbulb! Khushi went through this for nothing...Di did not break... Di is strong.
DeleteFor me this is SN!
krish on ur recommendation, i watched the first 5-7 mins of the epi....was great fun...i am so glad they kept it at the moment real in terms of k venting out at mami, aarav and sheetal....thats the natural thing....irrespective of ur innate gudness, when u have no concrete proof, these things must irritate u....like a jhamela...esp if ur character is khushi-like....not given to communicating everything thats on her mind
ReplyDeletearnav bitwa, cross wth him hat he was not holding hr in his arms at night...he is supposed to in my skd....silly boy...deserves that slap just for that....
but those scenes were so cute...esp the pacifying hug and get some sleep now...
cute that they gave explanation for not making jilebies :D
Deletethe part that stood for me was Bitwa not actually having a problem that his biwi was with someone..but that she was involved with someone actually called 'Bankelal'!! i was laughing so hard at his expression..like he could not believe she dated someone with THAT name!!
Deleteand bitwa has a truly sanaka imagination.. bankelal with the big moosh and mole on his cheek.. awww ROFL
Deleteyeah!! i was ROFLing quite loud at that.... and khushi's surprise and anger that arnav is not as jealous of her past as she is of his!
Deletethis was an epic scene!
*rofl* if Bitwa imagines his biwi's exes to be like that paanvala, obviously he's not going to be jealous! The fun would be if an old admirer surfaced who was really smart and handsome ... NK types ... and not nearly as platonic. Then we'd see some fire from Bitwa ... right now he seems to be taking his biwi very much for granted!
DeleteLet there be a drop dead new entry for Anji who comes through Khushi -- a doc to boot...and I want the jealous ASR to be back!! SKD much?
DeleteHayyeee ... SHIDDAT to that!!!
DeleteAsh,
ReplyDeleteloved ur post on IF today....
http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3253815
and since i don't know how to comment on IF, i am commenting here hoping u will see it...i ended up liking it on IF
esp the last para....this girl, khushi is complex...her insecurities run deep....will we see this without it being turned into a ott track ...making some deep and even as i say it...i am feeling sad for a fictional character....
i hope cvs, this is a track about Khushi and arnav rather than anyone else...all players can be only catalysts...they will serve their uses far better that way...
ash, *applause*
Thanks rekha -- I try to write -- am inspired by all of you and Diya !I used to nurse journalistic ambitions .. but then gave them up to do math and science and then computers and software... and you know what they do to writing :-)
Deletethanks once again... you need to be an IF member to comment .. I guess you are aren't you?
I would like you to join us there too if you don't mind ...so if you can PM me your IF id ... would be good.. we will send you the thread when and if we start it ( timeslicing between the writer currently)
i thot computers and software just enhanced writing in a big way....LOL
Deletecoding karte karte bahut log writers ban jate hain..Some coding guys told me once...i used to see them googling for so many data related aspects, structures etc so once i asked one of them.."why do u need to google so much for this task etc" and he said "we may learnt somethings in college but the real coding we have learnt thru google only" i was like haila?
i will send u a pm for sure....

ReplyDeleteIPK waalon DANDAAAAAAA
I have the R&R BGs authority. Pull up your socks and get that creativity and screenplay going or please end it NOW. I am this close to throwing pointed football sneakers at you. Yeh sab aapne mazaak laga rakha hai.
I hope Star gets a feedback on just how many dupe cases of women using their children happened after seeing their most fav jodi. Most Mumbai women carry mirchi powder in their bags to ward off trouble makers and not vegetables!!
I mean seriously you are trying to show me a woman who is sane (not even half a nutter as Anji) and she will trap a couple using her child. He education, lass toh hai hi nahi, what about her needing a certain fear or evilnees. Her expressions suck. Deepali would have been better in that role trust me. I mean this is like Masala Mama and Bubbly casting.
No wonder teh show with teh flatest of actors rules the roost because the hubby tehre supports his wife's unsaid dream and here after telpathic connection, gusts of wind and so on, 2 couples cannot read each others eyes, a sister cannot detect her bro's body language, a progressive yet traditional Nani is yet to ask a woman who knew her grandson about her hubby and why she is alone with her child. 2 sisters are not shown wondering how come ASR had a girlfriend given his sadoo nature in college. Akash has no Bhai, college aur aap? smirk, eyebrow raise and Oh I gotcha - 2 min scene better than a child actor repeating and repeating "trained" habits. All f it could go towards planting that doubt rather than this WT and toast OD!!!!
Agar Sheetal aur iske bachche ko ghar hi laana tha - seedhe seedhe show ArHi and her bumping into each other at a mall. Old friends, new to city, Khushi asks Arnav why dont they invite (Lucknowi khaatirdaari). Call them home find out they stay at hotel and then invite thme over till they find a place and then in the course of the days notice similarities, get the disquiet and so on. To keep the child planted Sheetal worris about needing someone trustworthy to help look after her son and Khushi volunteers to have him at RM as she has the time and likes being around children. It could also have been a distracter for Anji who recently lost hers and helo her gradually snap out of a daydreaming phase.
By doing what you did, you happily have given Khushi an IQ of sub zero levels. She is teh girl who wondered about RS, Shyamji and put it together with enough suspicion to go and check out who ANji's hubby was on the terrace.
ASR knows about how Khushi felt about him near another woman - that is why he did the whole faraq padhta hai and he knows her values and extent of duniyaadaai. I mean he knows how she interpreted his bachelor's party. To the house of such a man, an ex gf keeps popping by time and again with her child and the man does not sense anything amiss. She is supposed to be an introvert and an employee now whatever she was in the past. Khushi getting exalted status was supposed to be an exception and hence special.
Aiyyooo - who is writing the screenplay and scenes these days? This does not seem like Gautam Hegde or his team.
Ash, I told you na yeh log logical nahi karenge. Aaj ke baad I shall not be surprised if Shyam the creep planned it all and is blackmailing Sheetal - she is a divorce client and he realized she and Arnav could have known each other *HEADDESK*
He could have again onvinced Sheetal that Arnav is trapped ina loveless marriage ans she well educated will fall for it hook line and sinker just like Anji did for the mysterious galatfehmi explanation.
And the powers that be, you are doing a great job spreading that raita fogging up every good memory. I happened to watch yday and today's Madhubala and I see the magic happening there. Nothing earth shattering but the scenes remind me of old magical moments on IPK. Theyhave a new BG score for the leads too. The hero is unbending bu the akad is still there.
SATYANASH!!!
Sandy,
DeleteI felt nani would not be so rude to ask a first time or second time visitor about personal details, esp considering the way Sheetal seems to want to just run away, she evaded that Q from Anji on the college days.
No one has a clue that ASR had a GF in college, save K. The fact that ASR did not consider it serious enough to be told to Anji- gives more credit to his 'it was nothing', not that I doubt ODB.
On Sheetal, if she is to turn a vamp, I am not sure, but she is definitely not one as of now, I felt.
She asked Aarav just before leaving, if he won't come with her.
She seemed to be an OK mother today. Would the CT turn a mother in to a vamp? If she was single and had designs on ASR, I can understand. It does not make sense to turn a mother in to a vamp unless the kid and the mother turn out to be nakli.
Like you said Y'day, this seems to be a Khushi centric track. I fear that is all it is. It is not about ASR, or the kid or Sheetal.
It is all about Khushi and her insecurities.
I thought I'd hate it that the kid has Diabetes (thanks J, for the warning. I did not die of heart attack!).
But actually all this- the chhotta- bada packet track, and diabetes connection is just not for the viewers. It is not to convince us. Subtlety'd work for us. But thihs Diabetes, I hope was meant for Khushi- just to give that much more credibility to her suspicion. Afterall it'd look silly if she reached a conclusion based on some habits and mannerisms, but now asr seems like a carbon copy (sorry, bitiya.) of ASR.
OFC, that does not excuse her from not clearing her doubts with ASR.
This is exactly what I feared too. This is the scary Khushi for me...strongly reminds me of the suicide track.
sandy,
Deletebut that madhubala guy has bad teeth na....its so very glaringly obvious...i have seen him in some passing posters of some show he acted in.....where he played the vampire or was it the getup to have bad teeth there?
Su / Rekhs,
DeleteSu,
I was just plain irritated with the toast and juice scene again yday plus the new woman's blank face. Nani asking and being considered rude, I get it but there are 101 ways to ask nicely why she leaves the boy alone and is there no one to take care of him. Elders do it all the time.
Rekha,
Blame it on a scene on 2 between the RV today. I am just plain anoyed now.
As for Madhubala, I only saw it as we were having dinner thereabouts, DD is a decent actress and I know GH writes screenplay there so I wanted to see ki kaisa tha. Plus ydaya I think the entire cast made an apperance in scenes here and there plus there were TLC moments between lead pair that too uninterrupted. *hrmph*
Sandy, *rofl* I enjoyed your rant fest!!! And BG ki yaad aa gayi ... where is she?!
DeleteThe same problem we have been cribbing about for so long, isn't it ... WHY can the cv's not use the entire cast, why can't they give everyone some meaningful scenes and dialogues ... this is a daily show, why are they rushing? In the initial months, they utilised the entire cast so well, you felt you were inside the tv screen with the family, you saw everyone's reactions ... now poof!!! All gone!!!
Agree with you about Nani ... I also feel why isn't she asking Sheetal about her hubby ... something any elderly lady will do, especially to a woman with a child! A simple question, the most natural of all. And also - how did you know my grandson, were you good friends, he was quite a loner in college, wasn't he ... etc etc. Don't think it would be rude at all, it would be very natural.
Payal-Khushi - Payal giggling about Arnav having a girlfriend, an annoyed Khushi shutting her up much to Payal's surprise ... Anjali remarking that Sheetal is as quiet as Arnav ... I loved Mami saying 'why are you always in a hurry?' to Sheetal! Am tired of that toast eating thing ... honestly, is that the only thing they can show? Unless it's for exactly that reason - to show us how unfounded Khushi's fears are. Yes, we got that already!
And how come nobody asks Sheetal how she managed before the Raizada daycare center opened? Does the boy not go to school or something? Or does he dress in fancy dress every day to stay home?
Agree with Rekha's point below ... the writing is getting so slipshod and shoddy ... I feel bad for the actors putting in their best efforts, or trying to ... and the screenplay is just so pathetic. And again they're doing what they did earlier - all the stress is on Sarun ... they are on screen all the 22 minutes. Especially Khushi - maybe Sanaya cans her scenes faster ... but she is there all the time - I feel really bad for her!
Saw an episode of MB recently ... I haven't taken to the guy at all, and even DD's character doesn't really appeal. I've been watching PKDH more frequently - I like the parents' love story there, and the boy is sweet. The girl is improving ... very slowly, she still has a long way to go before she becomes decent, but she gets much less screen space so she's bearable.
Dia,
DeleteI mean that instrumental RV with teh spring beats was the RV from Holi when ArHi had hesitatingly applied colour to each other's faces. Those were such dark times and this was a music of hope that all will get well.
You know what has been the tune for weird dreams and similar stiff -that cawing like a crow one..
When she slapped him there should have been a flash of anger, a tug and pull like when she had thrown tea on him in the lets recall memories one and when she looks aound confused, he softens, loosens his hold and asks her if she indeed was ok.
Creative consultants are asking for qubool elsewhere and the financing PH is waiting for it to dawn elsewhere.
aur hum yahaan reh gaye hain..
Kaisa yeh isq hai
ajab sa risq hai
^ dia, hi5! I like PKDH too.. :P the girl's character is nicely etched out...although the acting needs major improvement...but the boy is really good.. and like you said, the parents... :)
Deletewhat I like the most abt that is that even though the main concept is abt the lead boy and girl, there are many parallel tracks and all the family members are very proactive.. :) like mukesh khanna too, though I feel at times I feel he can tone down his guestures... but I guess its all in the character.. most of all I love the mom - avantika.. her character is pretty interesting.. :)
and I agree, with this sheetal-aarav trac, they have made all the family members as props yet again.. :S they really should learn from other shows and work more towards including the entire cast...
anyway, all said and done is that this PH and/or the writers deffo know how to build up a love story up until the leads have confessed their feelings for each other ... but are a HUGE failure when it comes to developing the story further... their original BFTP could have been very interesting to watch..but they cut it short, I guess due to TRP pressure, so now they brought in a new BFTP?? Arnav's past romantic life?? Nothing so original abt that.. unless they bring a dramatic twist to the climax... sadly, the narration has become so pathetic that its difficult even to patiently watch and sit through the end ... :S
madsie,
Deleteon PKD, i am not getting any sense of any love story between the leads...from stray scenes..altho i would want to go by what u guys say simply becos the ipK exp has scarred me...imagine so much promise and now dying without a whimper....so if there is a story there which is being built on a more realistic premise not the atoot vishwas kinds...i think it would be better any day....thats me eating humble pie...the slot is late for me and anyways i am thru with serial watching regular basis...i can only surf for half hr which i was gud at before....usme jithna dikhane hain dikhado...yeh ipk ka chakkar jaldi chutne wala hain...and i think we are all going to say in unison "jaan chutti"
that mother in pKd is quite an interesting character,a bit on the rude side, almost barking but her love story sure looks interesting..she has the fire yaar..
totally unrelated -
ReplyDelete4018 days of loving, laughing, panicking, screaming, worrying, enjoying, pampering, scolding, being amazed, being shocked + loads and loads of God's blessings = 11 years of parenthood = 1 lovely child and 1 damn proud mother :D

DeleteMonu,

sandy, dont give titaliya's channe to monu.. sanka devi has been hiding them from her glutton hubby.. and they have been triple packed for freshness :) p.s . how many of you ladies have a secret stash of snackeroos in the bedroom?
Deleteaaawww....wish her a very Happy Birthday Monu!!
Deletehummm... i seem to have a different view point today - i liked the epi (hiding behind my lappi!)
ReplyDelete- first few minutes - perfect - ODG worrying, getting angry at mami - very natural
- loved the sweet explaination for why no jalbies almost as much as i loved that ASR knew she was mentally in the jalebi making mindset
- loved how ASR took the news of her 'kal' - see he knows his KKG - only too well - and he knows that she was never involved with anyone, in any seriousness (salman khan like crushes aside!) hence he pictured something light and funny - and can you blame him - Bankaylal-JI!!!! - seriously
- loved that she imagined a lot more intensity - of course she imagined the face cupping and the forehead kisses - those are 'her things' with ASR - her domain/her moments (even we think so!) - and now this woman could have been here all along - so yes it had to be what she considered sacred between them - so, well shown - tells us more about KKGs metal condition then her dialogues!
- loved the hug and the lets sleep - followed by a very crest fallen "OK" - too good :D:D
- take the 'in your face' similarity campaign, read toast eating - (which btw ASR and nani were eating the same way and not ASR(J)) with a pinch of salt - that is just for regular viewers - to rub in the point - ASR could be the dad!
- only thing i did not like - the doc saying "oh here are some medicines - take them and a few lifestyle changes and no big deal - on a PRESCRIPTION!!! - ok that was typical SP - stupid to a fault - diabetics need way more than a note! - (BTW when did the doc take a blood sample - that was an injection yesterday!)
Dont want the CT to go all OTT KKG - but have a feeling this is too serious a thing for them to do that and KKG is too good an actor to ruin this - her face is a mirror of her feelings right now and i really enjoyed that
*hugs* MOna,
DeleteI liked the episode too.
Agree with all your points.
The 'in your face' thing, I thought it is to convince us viewers that there were too many similarities that K could just not overlook and hence she came to this conclusion...this could go a little OTT (as if it is not already!), because there is no other future in the track if they show a communicative Arhi or a non- vamp sensible single mom who seems to want to withdraw in to the privacy of her world, a classic introvert.
One other thing I felt after the episode was this:
DeleteThat slap scene- K imagined ASR kissing Sheetal.
1. Did she imagine the past?
2. Or did she think he was thinking of Sheetal while kissing her?
There is a lot of difference in the two scenarios.
When I watched the epi, I thought it was the second thing and hence the slap. She could not have slapped him for something he did in the past.
Ditto with the morning scene also...she was not just imagining Sheetal trying to lure her hubby away, she was imagining that HE ACTUALLY ENJOYED Sheetal's attention. She comes across as hugely insecure , if that is so.
i feel that khushi imagined arnav kissing sheetal.. and got mad. verry filmy, but a normal bollywood move.
Deleteyes, now that she knows that they had a fling, she is reacting like "normal wives" and imagining shital in his life. not a good place to be, for any wife.
Su, I don't agree fully there ... the major bugbear for Khushi is the child, not the mother. She imagined Sheetal because she was worried about Aarav. So that was her imagination as to how Aarav came into being, as it were ... that Arnav had the same relationship with Sheetal that he he now has with Khushi. If it was just another woman, Khushi would have been like the BP night - I will nocho that chudail's hair.
DeleteEven in her monologue she says as much ... ever since that boy came, I'm so worried, I can't eat, I can't sleep. And most unlike how Khushi normally is with kids - she is not happy with Aarav being around Arnav ... the glare she gives him when he enters, and her annoyance when he wants to watch football with Arnav, her anger when he and Arnav are so similar. No, her entire problem is that Aarav could be Arnav's son ...
Which, like we discussed earlier, is completely understandable ... a child is a huge thing, much bigger than merely an old flame.
aaand the cherry on the top!
ReplyDelete------------------------------------
1. Sheethal is Shyam's sister. He came to know that ASR has broke away from his sister and wanted to take revenge, that is why he married his sister Anjali. If he truely loves Anjali he will never do all this to her.
2. After all his plans fail to bring down ASR. Sister comes into play, both are taking revenge.
Filmy I know but duys this makes sense I hope.
Shyam is the only person who knows how Khushi reacts to situations, so 100% sure Shyam is behind this all drama.
At least one loop hole will be closed with this storyline-What made Shyam marry Anjali if he did not love her, only for money?
-------------------------------
http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3254026
and that idea will prove my theory that the CVs read redux.. where doodle was always so sure about shyam's sister's role via symbolisms
J,
DeleteShyam is a mad man...he would not kill a baby for his sister's sake? And kidnap and try to kill ASR for that reason?
Wanted to point out one dialogue in the Shyam ousting epi. Had forgotten it in the mayhem.
"humne poora plan banaa lya tha, aapko upar bhejne, aapke maata pita ke paas"- sumthin similar...
The moment I heard it, it kind of gave me the feeling that he meant, "I was going to murder you, just like your parents were sent up!"..BFTP or sister theory, I guess we are all expecting him back.
But could he have escaped so soon?
Or are we only going to get an angry dialogue from ASR sometime later that the police are downright useless. "Shyam escaped and they never informed me. The system sucks!"
A thought on Sheetal. How do we know that ASR was the one to break up with her? What if she broke up with him, because she thought she found true love, got pregnant and was ditched. That could also explain why she is so uncomfortable around him now. Her biggest mistake was to leave him for someone else? Yeah, I am pretty sure it was not, just a thought.
this was NOT a spoiler, just someone's speculation.. just clarifying, you know.
DeleteJ,
DeleteAt the end of all this what if Aarav turns out to be Arnav's brother and totally unrelated to Sheetal? She was just a medium to get the boy into the house.
I will pause on him being Shyam's nephew for now for I wish they would actually use Manorama Mami and the skeleton Nani spoke of when snubbing her at Payal's haldi havan at some point.
sandy,
Deletehow bro yaar?father still alive kya? the boy doesn't look 13 years thereabouts if his father's last dalliance had to result in this chotte...
what skeleton in mami's cupboard? i missed that...if u mean dhruv...i don't think even the CVs remember that...and how will they explain that....like they did dadi..the raizadas also behaved one day as if she came from heaven/hell directly...and as u can see, no one cares abt her now...i tell u this Raizadas have an amazing ability to forget and move on...poore insaan ko bhul jaate hain...yeh chotta ladka kis khet ki mooli hain....maybe he is anybody's son there and they have forgotten abt it...
Rekha,
DeleteIf this child has to be Shyam's sister's kid as per that speculation well he will be 15 at least given Arnav is 29 and his dad died when he was 14. So I am like angling in the dark bcos why would this child need to stay back at RM without Sheetal?
I am stil lwondering how that scene when Shyam is thrown out on his anniv night will play out. Khushi turns back to look at him.
Mami's skeleton - I am sure it will be nothing. It was a dialogue from Nani to Mami about how she had found her way to the Raizada family when she was bad mouthing Payal on knowing her first wedding broke.
All the evidence is pointing to only one conclusion in Khushie's mind. Her husband fathered a child. But that is what we are being made to think. Being fed and led by,the nose to the same answer. Surely this is just too obvious. Khushie even asks herself if she is reading too much into all of this. Yes I want to shout at her. You honest and forthright husband has already told you that his relationship was nothing and meant nothing. If it was a physical relationship wouldn't he feel at bit awkward as well. Would his mind not question if the child was his. He can not be so dumb. He is self made man who has used his head to get to where he is today. Fishy is not the word, it is all a bit too well set up. To may coincidences makes me very uneasy. Poor Khushie is starting to break bit by bit with each little snippet of information being sent her way. Her thoughts are making her crazy. I only hope that Arnav steps in before it is all too late. I don't think I like this, track very much. She has had so much, heartache, and when thing are going well, the next big wave comes along and knocks her off her feet. I also don't like seeing Arnav with anyone else but his Khushie.

yes Lin, thats the problem.....somehow when the track is pointing out the obvious, it should go the other way but with this ph, we are never sure till the last moment...esp considering our fears about all things....and worries about will the ph make the added mistake of using a child in a diabolical plan if it were one....we want to take reassurance in the various scenarios that the girls here have been discussing....
Deleteand yes, we cannot see anyone else with arnav except khushi.....i saw only one scene and purposely did not watch the morning scene.....
Lin, i do not think this one is going to break her again.. remember the suicide track? she did a lot of solo thinking and in the end, arnav turned up, saving her. similarly, i guess he will read her before it goes too far into angst.
Deleteyes, the track is shoving the similarities down our throat, but seeing sheetal yesterday, the whole thing is starting to reek of a set up.. boy wants breakfast, boy wants daycare, boy wants football watchers club.. and there was a nod between the doctor and "sheetalji" that raised my hackles.
granted, the raizada family is always open to accept orphans.. but the way aarav invited himself into the family.. irritating.
i have to say i loved arnav and aarav chemistry.. did i say that before?
If the PH could make nothing of a serious subject like a miscarriage and the loss of a child ... and now they have even made a mockery of the devastation of a broken marriage ... seeing the way Anjali is chirping around happily ... making mockery of an illegitimate child is really nothing for them. I don't trust them to handle this sensitively at all ... they seem actually incapable of doing justice to anything except pure love stories.
DeleteI am detaching too from the show ... it really doesn't touch me these days ... except for Khushi's feelings. That's really the only thing holding me here - Khushi/Sanaya and Arshi.
Jaya, very true ... yesterday reeked of a set up ... this time from Aarav's side. So again I am getting more sure Aarav will not be Arnav's son.
I know that the ph cares a hang about serious issues...so expecting sensitivity would be foolish but the very reason that bubbly was withdrawn, showed that they did bow to pressure so i am wondering how will it go this time...or are they hoping that once it is proved that aarav is not arnav's son...all galti will be maaf by janta...
DeleteIt obviously can't be a simple case of co-incidence that sheetal and junior keep strolling in everywhere or is ph so silly to make that a premise?
i have just realised all aspects of logic are being turned on their heads..i myself don't know to connect the dots anymore
the final nail in asr's dimag ka coffin will be made tomorrow...
ReplyDeletek has behaved like a real sanka devi on many occasions but the sankiness was pronounced on one such terrible occasion in the past which he witness to as well - the attempted suicide...will arnav make any connection that she is very very troubled or will khushi's sankiness take a new hue this time around?
Hi Dia
ReplyDeleteKhushi's fears are valid and very soon this track I going to take a serious turn.
According to me as always Mishti gave a correct spoiler about Aarav being Arnav's son. The same way she said that Shyam kidnapped Arnav and we refused to believe it.
My theory is that he is indeed the son. Sheetal has raised her son like Arnav and now she feels it is time father and son met. I don't think she has any other motive other than the fact that she wish this truth to come out as she feels the son needs a father.
She applied to AR for the reason but happened to meet Khushi before hence had come up with a new way so she plants the doubt in her mind.
I don't think her intentions are very negative.
This is my take on this track an attempt on nayi soch.
Take care
Ratna
Ratna,
DeleteKhushi's fears are very on the spot and she is worried about Aarav. I like how Arnav is piking up on her disquiet though he is not sure of the complete reason.
I was wondering on yday's post also about Aarav being Arnav's son for real and actually want it to be the case.
Liked how you paraphrased Sheetal's thot process.
sheetal wanted aarav to meet his dad, so applied for a post at AR? not floating, ratna. if she was the least bit bothered, she could have called him and set up a meeting and spoke about the matter like normal adults would do. and she was genuinely (as much as she can act) surprised that ASR was the boss..
DeleteJ,
DeleteRatna's comment made me think of the Tamil movie Kannathil Muttamital where the girls parents decided to tell her when she turned 8 that she was adopted and not their own.
The actor essaying Madhura - her emotions and expressions leave muh to be desired.
Ratna, on the contrary, last night for the first time I felt more sure that Sheetal is doing all this deliberately and Aarav is not Arnav's son.
DeleteI pointed out earlier that all the traits Aarav showed were 'Nurture' traits, not inherited ... juvenile diabetes is not directly inherited from parents either, though it does run in families. But yesterday a few thing were very deliberate ...
Aarav not having breakfast before he left home ... would any mother ready for a full day out forget to feed her child? Especially when he had fainted the day before? And Aarav said he was hungry when Arnav appeared on the scene, Arnav invited them in and then only did Sheetal agree. So she made sure Arnav saw she was unwilling to stay ... and accepted his invitation, not Nani's, Mami's or Anjali's ...
Sheetal brought up football, after making it clear that Aarav had no place to stay ... hotel, dusty home or doctor's clinic ... and he wasn't in the 'mood' to go to the doctor's? Do you go to the doctor when you're in the mood? I thought she was worried about his blood reports - shouldn't she have insisted on taking him with her?
Arnav did not invite Aarav to stay for football, so Aarav invited himself ... today it seemed Aarav and his mom are both in it together ...
I did think that Aarav could have forged a bond with Arnav, man to man ... because of the lack of a male figure in his life, and the common gardening and now football ... but if Sheetal is indeed worried about AA bonding, all the more reason for her to insist on taking Aarav with her.
And finally ... if Aarav is really Arnav's son, then there is really no happy ending ... Aarav will have to stay on for good, even if Sheetal leaves ... as Mami told her "you get out, Aarav will be happy here" ... I wonder if the PH will keep on a child on a permanent basis. Unless they come to a very civilised arrangement about visiting rights etc ... even so, mother-son have shifted to the same city, so they will have to stay on.
Girls,
ReplyDeletesomehow the writing on the wall for IPK irrespective of all flashes of interim brilliance is that the show is on its last legs....these flashes of interim brilliance is a result of having SARUN in the same frame for some part and ofc, even the most demotivated brilliant writer will churn out something gud every once in a while...kya karen oh ladies main hoon aadat se majboor
i thot and thot and i have come to the conclusion that the real sanjeevani is in the Rm house so i am proposing the following
1)aarav being arnav's son,let the new family leave the RM premises along with anji...(becos how else with anji cup the two chotte's face everyday..which is as essential to her as breathing and then let her creep out shitall...and no need to show that..we have vivid imagination)
2)let khushi do the honours of making sure that the new family leaves the RM premises...she can set fire to poolside (becos kanjoos raizada never gave her anything that she can burn)now, this is an important ritual in ensuring that life goes on..all u creative guys know how it can be done effectively...
3)Khushi to have a next day makeover, she can dazzle us anywhich way she wants with a brand new wardrobe....first things first and then she can also go on as if life goes on forever...this way atleast, i will go to the grave happy that she wore something besides tents in diff colours and textures..its an important closure required for fan sanity
according to me there is nothing wrong in the scenario....if the delusional character anji can come out of her 'humare' 'inhone' in half day, why can't Khushi do this....its perfectly in character and let's not underestimate rm's healing powers.....this is nayi soch of the kind never before seen on television....
SN: only one thing that i am yet to figure out is the all imperative FB, that will set this in motion.
as u can see, my brain works the best when in semi-sleep...its 5 am here and since i could not sleep, i thot of this....
oh god...was i zombie when i made this post....obviously it must look like the ramblings of a rabid animal..
Deletey'day's epi irritated the hell out of me more than i gave it credit.....
however i have to say one thing...two things stood out for me in the episode and it was something the cvs particularly rubbed it in rather pointedly
1) the lack of any hints of intimacy between the leads who were once the IT couple..that they sizzle despite that is no credit to the cvs...its sarun magic at work pure and simple but by not showing it the cvs are making a point to fandom, u wont get any of it from us anymore
2)the intervention of the RV involving sheetal was a deliberate attempt to mess with fan sentiments on that matter...when it is a known fact that fandom is extremely possessive abt it...the point of K's fear like many other subtle ones they have used could have been made with just an interjection of sheetal in the frame with the same result but it was like a "here, u go, we rub it in for u"
sort of reinforces the feeling that the CVs want us to watch qubool hai for the thrills from now on..
Deleteopti, i feel for ya.. the way you despaired for maaneet once IPK started..
j,
Deletemoi strict believer in Abe lincoln adage "u can fool some people all the time, all people some time but not all people all the time"
Unke jhaanse mein nahin ayenge....bilkul qubool nahin hain and for the simple reason i don't like ksg and his pout, poor fellow ne mera kuch nahin bighada but there are these things in life but i guess i can live with not bothering to know the reason why i don't like me...just like that.
Rekha,
DeleteI read urs and said here she goes, another one whos mind is roiling after the epi just like mine was. Small things are annoying!!
I was wondering, it was night. So why have that stupid spotlight on their faces.. You recall that one scene when Arnav lies there thinking of Khushi, all blue lit room, as if the moon and some soft night lamps reflect off the pool.
Then they walk out to the pool and there is this soft lighting or Arnav finds her missing, rushes to light a lamp and sees her sitting out there.
Ambience of romance and togetherness. Contrasted by Khushi going out of her mind with worry.
And yes why is that stupid pillow in between. the 2. Can't they hold hands when sleeping. If she was so worried, would she not automatically reach out to hold his collar like she always did in he past.
And don't kill me for this but can we just have Khushi go back to her chamkili suits and plaited hair again. She looked so pretty in the FB..
Mental duress main kuch bhi ho sakta hai na?
Krish!
Perfectly valid points below. And IPK once did not have so many loose ends. And they began the next day from where it ended the previous day. The moon in the night used to be a rare sight ab toh that and the sunrise are around daily.
The child reads newspapers!! Well theek hai, my nephew is one such namoona. But yeah what about school. AT least bubbly had holidays.
Rekh,
Delete'it was something the cvs particularly rubbed it in rather pointedly
the lack of any hints of intimacy between the leads who were once the IT couple..':
This is what I was lamenting on the other day.
On why he did not pull her on to the bed with full haq after watching her enact her day's adventures.
But, the CVS may not be rubbing it in to get back at fandom.
If K and ASR were showing hugging each other one moment and then K slapping ASR... it will not make any sense.
I feel they are trying to show us that the couple is taking it slow. Don't ask me why. There is no otherexplanation for the absence of hug , holding hands etc....
Khushi has not really relaxed after the wedding. If it was Shyam in the beginning, it was some ego tussle with hubby afterwards. Then, she got excited with the kidnap drama and after that started worrying over the kid and Sheetal. I am not saying the marriage is not consummated, the writer is probably telling us that this hot couple, at least the better half of it is majorly distracted. It takes an effort for ASR to be expressive, and if K is distracted all the time...
Why did K slap ASR?
If she was secure in her love, which this honeymoon period should have cemented, an ex would not make her lose her sleep.
Nothing happened so far btn ASR and Sheetal for K to lose sleep over. It is all in her head.
I feel more and more that this track is about Khushi's insecurity, which will make her connect some things and then mahaanta will set in...she has already forgotten his promise of forever and the whole remarriage bonding.
Why else did she imagine ASR WELCOMING Sheetal's arms around him? (She could've imagined it minus ASR expressions...her fears should have ben directed only against Sheetal. Here she has started associating them as a couple!)
sandy, hrishikesh gandhi is not with IPK anymore.. so the lighting, the ambience, the loving caress of the camera that makes us FEEL the emotion playing onscreen..is gone.
Deletesu,
Deletemuch as i want to believe u, and for my sanity too...
my question remains as the other day...accepted K is still not comfortable for whatever reasons...but why will arnav be less than amorous in his intentions...atleast there should have been one instance that highlights why they are not intimate in an intimate sense....they are sleeping like hey did for some time in the six month marriage...
if its a taboo thing to talk abt it on tv, i can understand that there was no discussion...but why no arms around K, in sleep too?
it can't be becos they can't show a track of A and k in throes of passion and the next morn K going sanka...and ofc when shit hits roof, there would have to be the added pathos...agreed but why is the space not explained in some subtle terms....i have to conclude, they just dont care...
but why will arnav be less than amorous in his intentions...
DeleteRekh,
Think about the post remarriage scenes carefully.
At the movie- he wanted to hold her hand and she was lost in the movie.
When K was acting out the adventure- he could not take his eyes off her, but she was lost in herself.
ASR is behaving normally, but he has not had the chance to recreate the mood that was there during haldi etc...She is just not relaxed enough for that...
Except for that one night on his B'day when he made the jalebis.
I totally get your point that this could be done better, though I don't know how. In what way can they show a reason for the absence off passion, other than the cliched way to get one of them to break a bone or something. But that'd warrant extra pyaar from the other, so I guess it'd defeat the purpose.
And there is a big difference in Arnav post remarriage. His haq attitude is totally gone. His respect and admiration grows day by day, and he has placed her on a pedestal(perhaps!). Bitwa may be learning to respect her feelings also, so he does not want to rush her. I really can't find any other explanation for it, unless it is what you have described.
I feel one thing. Arhi has switched their roles over. Bitwa has become understanding and bitiya has become demanding, I think it is only a temporary phase. It will change when 'shit hits the roof', which in translation to me means, we get ASR back.
Now that u have made the point of pedestal...i come to the next point...and that is the *hit hitting the roof..
Deletekhushi knowing is one aspect...but what happens if asr knows it too....apart from the point of being upset that it was done behind his back, what is the moral high ground for him if it turns postive..which we know it will by hook or crook....zilch....it makes him someone like his father (even tho its not a's fault in this case but i said, it could be a case of him realising that his dad may have been in the same postion which ofc is not the point of the track)
But it means asr doesn't deserve K going by the pedestal route....i would love for him to wait for K to assert haq over him in that scenario but are u hopeful for that to happen? or peetal bartan may follow and K will get him out....
But the question is what happens o arav in this case? or is he going be another sac lamb? rather who is going to be lamb now?
Rekh,
DeleteI cannot answer any of your questions, because all these questions don't exist for me.
It is plain and simple for me, the kid is not Arnav's.
Like I said above in one of my posts, it is ALL IN KHUSHI'S head. And when K follows it up with her self righteous behaviour, ASR is going to see red.
Why are we not going by Mishti's spoiler. I thought she said they will make it look like ASR's kid, but actually the kid is not his. Did I miss some new spoiler over the weekend?
na na ..i am not saying that the kid will be arnav's ...i am saying that woh scenario toh ayega na...irrespective of how it unfolds later..varna yeh dahi raitha ka kya fayda? i am talking of the interim scenario and one more to add is arnav not knowing...yeh bhi toh ho saktha hain...she may go silent...and this fellow's mythical dimag will be in gol chakkar...
Deleteon mishti's spoiler..i have to say, she got out of IF immediately after making that yes-no yes no spoiler...fishy but chalo jane do...yaar tu optimist, main pessimist...i want u to win yaar...hugs btw u have won all battles till now...
LOL, Rekh. *hugs*
DeleteI hope optimism wins too. *wink*
I can't stand too much of negativism in the show. 'This is a love story, dammit!'What is Anjali and Sheetal doing here? They are only props for me, sorry.
th ewhole aarav-arnav-sheetal drama is going gol gol in my brain! no wonder khushi is at her sanki best, or should i say worst?
ReplyDeleteafter y'day, it does look like a set up. is it the subtlety at play or is madhura just a plain bad actres? she came across flat it in some places.. and her worry for aarav did not look genuine. they are in a hotel, but didnt feed her son? now who does that?
if they are staying in a hotel, it means they just moved to delhi from some place, right? fom where?? and what were they doing in a vegetable market? they are not allowed to cook their own food, or are they?
and most important of all, aarav was so good with directions the other day, during the khushi driving OTT session. wasnt he bragging how it was his directions that saved him? if thi is a new city, does he now have an inbuilt radar system? now what, does he belong to cullen vampire clan??
how did the kidnappers know he was a rich kid? is it just the by looking? was kidnapping a part of set up? was it why the kidnappers never followed them. is the kid involved in the set up? o is he just a puppet?
and for how long are they staying in a hotel? long enough to get a suit stitched?
what i dont understand is how can the writer stand so much disconnect in the story? wont their minds go gol gol like mine???
wow krish, logical questions.. been so long since someone asked those!
Deleteaiyoo j, u just beat me to this post....i was to tell krish...u are going our BBE way....
Deletesee it helps...education always does
Statutory warning:
DeleteBoarding the logic boat for IPK only leaves you all at sea !
Krish, wow! Major logical questions ... I agree, they are all valid ... and it does seem more and more like a set up to me, with some help from the cv's, of course. And the ones we can question, the answer still could implicate a set up.
DeleteLike Sheetal could not have predicted that Khushi would accompany her to the doctor's ... her doctor was different from the one who came to RM ... so the report could be a plant anyway. Sheetal might have planned to come back to pick up Aarav and give Khushi the news accidentally about being 'worried' about Aarav's newly diagnosed diabetes. Leaving Aarav behind at RM was deliberate.
Dia, Krish,
Delete1. B'fast thing: Sheetal might have wanted to get the prescription and then have breakfast on the way to hospital. The kid did not complain, he only reminded her to hurry since they had to have B'fast too. And the way the whole RM clan invited her, including ASR, Shetal could not turn it down, she did not want to look rude.
2. The kid loving football- all guys love football; Wanting to spend time with ASR- he must have taken a natural liking to a father figure. He definitely likes ASR, he is the only one Aarav finds normal.
3. Kidnappers nap any kid looking lost. That is what was being told in the TV and the reason why NK was scared too. Whose car was it? The nappers?
Did they bring the kid from somewhere and Aarav got out smelling a rat, or did he stray away on his own?
His mom was far away, and he said he was kidnapped. So the kidnapping happened, Aarav got out near the market and K helped him. The car belonged to the kidnappers?
4. If all this was planned, Sheetal need not have gotten a doctor to give her the result at all. I mean, if she did not expect K to accompany her she could very well have avoided the Doc's visit, if it was staged as you feel. Shetal could've just roamed around and come back and told K that the kid has diabetes.
5. Watched the epi only once, did Sheetal say she was new to the city? She must have been staying at the hotel for a week or two and the kid got used to the streets in and around...he is smarter than our hero, after all.
And I thought Sheetal and ASR went to college in Delhi, so the city can't be new. She was just changing her job. Had to move out of her house too, came to this part of the city, one of her ivs was at RM. I thought the previous day she still had a job, the way Aarav gave directions to 'my mom's office', last day at work, perhaps.
dia, are any of my posts stuck in davy jones locker?
ReplyDeleteNo, Jaya ... I just checked :( They all got published - no Spam. Have you written more?
Deletei had written more in the morning, but i guess blogger ate it..
Deletewhile watching the epis for the past couple of days, I was wondering to myself - what if I were a part of a normal TRP audience for whom offscreen dramas and spoilers etc meant nothing? Who had no idea WT* was going on behind the screen? Would I still be enjoying the track and liking it? And I realised that my answer was a vert strong 'YES'.
ReplyDeleteYes, because obviously I would love chota packet-bada packet bonding...the way its been portrayed so far, it has been really sweet.. then again, I wouldn't be all so worried if he is actually arnav's son or not..I would probably think its a ramanchi by the CVs to make us want to think that and it happens all the time in all the soaps - the biggest example I can think of is in kutumb, where, despite being an ekta kapoor show, they did end up showing that the lady who claimed her daughter to be pratham's was actually not his daughter, but pratham and gauri do separate emotionally for the time being... however, we all know that they would come together in the end and they did..
The main problem here, which is making me difficult to accept this track is all the stupid offscreen drama that's going on, with all the articles stating that deepali's leaving, akshay leaving, BS leaving etc.. Its making it very difficult to accept what could be a very normal and interesting track..
The reason people cannot accept sheetal and her kid is coz of rumours going round that arnav might fall in love with her.. the offscreen drama is majorly affecting on screen viewing much more than before... now this must have been the case during kidnapping time too, but I think this time its worse than ever..
case in point -
khushi's imagination yest during the RV... a normal TRP audience would read it as khushi is very disturbed now when it comes to kissing arnav coz now she knows that she isn't the only special woman who shared that part of him... now, getting intimate and physical is different for men and women, for majority of the women, getting close emotionally is extremely important before they get close physically..while for men, the physical aspect comes first.. for a woman like khushi, who is so emotionally invested in arnav and who knows or a fact that her husband is also emotionally invested in her, its difficult to imagine another woman in whom her husband might have invested even 10% of those emotions...especially now that the woman has a face.. so every kiss she has or will share with arnav, is a reminder that arnav might have kissed another woman - namely sheetal, in the same manner... its going to be very difficult and will take a long time for her to accept that now she is the only one in his life and that whatever kisses he has shared with sheetal before 'meant nothing' to him later on... hence, the slap and the accusation of "how dare you do like this? don't you feel ashamed?"
^^ now this would have been a reaction of a normal TRP audience... BUT, now that I know of the offscreen drama, all I can think of is that the CVs are desperately trying to rub it in.. telling us to get used to seeing arnav with someone else.. telling us that our RV is not our RV anymore... and frankly, its getting quite irritating now and not at all depressing... as much as I decide not to read spoilers, I end up reading them! :S
all said and done, the ONLY scene that really touched me (and it wasn't even emotional as such), was the pancake scene.. it was directed, enacted and shown BEAUTIFULLY... no two ways about that! :))) SaRun were their brilliant best in it...and there was a kind of maturity they brought about in ArHi relation.... :) something never seen before.. you could see that both of them had gone totally in the skin of their characters...I don't know if it was written that brilliantly or it was their chemistry that made it so amazing, but there was something absolutely charming about that scene.. :))

DeleteI agree the pancake scene was special....the time when she says how u would u feel when one says "'ooooh"and eats and his rejoinder...there was this freshness...i could credit the writer but it would still fall flat with any other pair...call it my prejudice....
sarun have spoilt me as far as romantic couples go..their benchmark is too high...so high irrespective of how this tale ends (u know what i am talking about) i will only remember it only for their special moments...just like the one u mentioned...
yeah.. that scene was written, directed and enacted well.
