Am sure they're leading somewhere with this ... just not sure where they're going!
Sheetal ... the lady was not very happy to hear that Arnav was married. So is the kid his? Arnav didn't seem to indicate she was anything more than an old friend ... maybe a good friend.
I liked the car scene when he yells at Khushi and she gets all miffed ... and then he spends the rest of the day trying to make it up to her.
Very typical husband wife jhagda - whether I'm right or wrong, you apologise! And liked the cute kitchen scene when Arnav sends away the two sisters to get his wife alone! Why do we get the cutest scenes with the BD's?? 
Even the policeman scene was cute ... a bit hammy, but cute
So why was he going overboard to apologise to Khushi? Liked the end bit ... I know you're very brave and all that, but next time can you please call the police?
Better episode compared to yesterday (in spite of the BD's). Sanaya and Barun seem to be shooting for the Diwali special - is that why the split appearances?
Payal was wearing a beautiful saree. So was Anjali.

Episode and thoughts
ASR junior and senior tell Sheetal in unison to listen to Khushi, that she wasn't kidnapping Aarav.
Arnav and Sheetal recognise each other ... but not until Arnav says her name in surprised recognition, does Sheetal acknowledge that she knows and remembers him. Before that she started to look away.
Does Aarav recognise the name Arnav?
Arnav seems to get lost in Sheetal for a few seconds before Khushi chirps 'do you know each other?' Then he introduces her fairly normally as his old classmate from college. Was there a spot of fumbling as he started to introduce her?
Aarav is not happy to learn that Arnav is his mom's old classmate.
Arnav introduces Khushi very normally and matter-of-factly as his wife.
Sheetal's face changes at that ... not happy at the introduction ... and a quick glance at her son. She apologises to Khushi, Aarav corroborates and she starts to take off, but Arnav holds her back ... 'long time, how are you doing? Is this your son?'
No trace of consciousness there ... could be an old flame which died naturally, or just an old friend ...
Sheetal says a tad aggressively, 'yes, he's my son, Aarav.'
Khushi explains to Arnav the kid is the same with whom his suit got exchanged, so Arnav stops to chat with him ... Aarav repeats he didn't like Arnav's suit, and asks if Khushi is always this way. Adds that she's sweet.
Sheetal says they need to leave. Either this was an accidental meeting and she had no intention of ever letting Arnav near her son ... and this was reinforced when she heard that he's married now ...
OR it was a planned meeting made to look that way.
Felt today that the subtlety which was a hallmark of IPKKND and which made it different from other shows, made a small re-appearance.
As soon as Sheetal leaves with her son, for Arnav it's out of sight out of mind, he has more pressing concerns on his mind - his wife. Ignoring her pleased remark on how nice it is to meet old friends ... 'yeah, you come with me ...'
And a husband-wife tiff ... both right in their place ... he annoyed at why she interferes with everyone and everything and gets herself into trouble, she annoyed as to how he thinks she could have let that small child get kidnapped and do nothing about it ... he points out, very reasonably that she could have saved the kid but didn't need to kidnap the kidnapper's car, she doesn't even know how to drive, she retorts that she does know how to drive, he replies she could have driven herself out of the world ... every time she tries to help, she creates a mess, when will she stop interfering? Stupid!
And Khushi gets most annoyed ... nothing is so annoying as being told told you're wrong and you did something stupid when you know it's true ...
Besides, being called stupid by your husband, and your actions dismissed as being unnecessary and unimportant, hurts ... I know nothing gets me more angry ... and I mean really angry!!!
So she vows not to help anyone ever again because she's always misunderstood ... being Khushi, she goes overboard with her examples ... Arnav gives up for the moment ... no point talking to her when she's so angry and upset.
Family ... NK overjoyed to see Arshi back safe and sound ... Khushi is still annoyed, Arnav tries to skate over it ... complete role reversal here Earlier Arnav was the one who would stalk off to his room leaving Khushi to handle the mess ...
Anjali Di badi sayani as always ... 'is everything okay?' Well duhhh ... of course it isn't ... they've had a fight, and he really doesn't need your advice to go manao her, he was going to do that anyways!
And the fight continues ... Arnav feeling a little bad, maybe he said a bit too much ... tries to get back to normal, but Khushi is still sulking big time ... she starts her stress-buster - making jalebis ... much to the concern of Payal and Anjali ...
Anjali tries to coax her ... wrong number ... she's not interested in making anything special for Arnav ... he called her interfering when all she was doing was trying to help ... she's mad at him ... and hurt and upset ...
Arnav arrives in the kitchen to coax his sulking upset wife ... he sends off Di and Jiji (fortunately they understand and neither tries to interfere! halleluiah!
) And a damn cute scene ... which would have been classic if they had both been in the same frame ... Khushi trying to hold on to her anger, while Arnav tries to seduce her out of it ... 'when I hold your hand and look into your eyes, all the fight goes out of you ...' 
Good try ... but she's finally playing hard to get ... finally very secure about her place in his life, the anger is gone, the playfulness is back ... Some more roothna manana at the poolside, and Arnav finally loses his patience and picks her up bodily and carts her off in his car ...
I forgot to mention yesterday one more good thing about the satyanash episode ... the SUV is back!
On cute slightly hammy scene between Arshi and policeman, who sees very quickly that this is a miya-biwi fight and he'd do best to stay out ... a pagal Khushi who doesn't take off her blindfold even though she very well can, just because Arnav told her not to take it off ... How can he drive through Delhi with a blindfolded passenger?!
And Maa's garden where Khushi still tries to act angry and 'I'm not talking to you' ... Arnav challenges her to keep quiet, and she loses the challenge ...
And in the place where Arnav showed her his most vulnerable side, Khushi in her chatter exposes her biggest vulnerability to him ... she can't stop talking because she's scared of feeling alone ...
And he finally manages to tell her what he wants to say ... she's crazy, she talks too much, irritates him, angers him ... but she's also unique ... and very special. He loves her for her bravery, for her selflessness, for her courage, for her sanskar ....she's a far better person than he is. Because she's completely selfless, she does things for other people regardless of her own feelings, her own safety .... whereas when it comes to her, he's selfish.
And a moved Khushi stops him from bowing his head and teases him ... you spoke much more than I did today ... this filmy talk doesn't suit you ...
He says sorry for saying too much in the morning ... but she agrees, he was right. And she knows why he was so angry ... because he doesn't want to lose her ...
And she assures him she's not going anywhere ... she will be with him always ...
His reassurance that she will never leave him ...
Her reassurance that she will never be alone because she will be with him ...
One last thing ... you're very brave, but can you please tone it down? Call the police next time ...
And she agrees ... he knows why she did what she did ... and she knows he was right, it wasn't exactly the brightest thing to do ... Both accept the other's POV.
So will Khushi move away from him for the sake of a child? Or will she stay and fight for Arnav?

aaru I read updates on IF and apparently the epi was full on BDs... it was supposed to be a romantic episode but they made complete use of BDs.. :S but as far as the girl is concerned, she is arnav's classmate - sheetal and is the junior ASR's mom (as predicted)..

aaru and mads. epi shud have been magical! the BDs poiled it big time!! it had everything, nok jhok, love tenderness... and arhi. the entire epi had only thm. but still it lacked the magical quality cos of the bds.

ReplyDeleteanyway, onto the epi. so she is sheetal, a classmate of ASR. did she fall in love with him, but he rejected her? if he had an affair with her, he wouldnt be so easy going with her, right?? there was absolutely no shock or guilt. just a pleasant surprise. though sheetal did seem kinda indifferent towards khushi, a hint of venom there?
the kid and ASR looked adorable for watever little time they were shown together! but i dont want him to be his kid. plz!!
the rest of the epi was beautiful, it would have been magical if not for the BDs. is BS on leave? that wasnt BS's voice, was it?why did they use Bds for the garden scene and not car scene? technical improbabilities??
i read the spoilers and offscreen drama only today. how can they make ASR fall for another woman, after what he said today??
a man, who initially snubbed her for all that she was. he accused her of being a gold digger. told her she doesn't have a character, no bows to her for her all that she is made of. he says he respects her and is special. can he ever fall out of love with this girl?
the girl who turned his existence to life! the girl who made him a part of his family. the girl who always brings out the best in him! there is just no way ASR would ever do anything wrong by khushi! ANYTHING!!
also, if he had an affair, he just goes on to prove nani right.. "aap apun baap ke bete hi hai".
someone mentioned in earlier posts that they dont actually expect arnav to be celibate. i do! coz he knows how affairs can turn everything upside down. his father's affair ruined his family. so no matter what, having an affair with someone, without commitment towards her is just not how i perceived asr to be.
he may be ultra modern, and adapted to western culture. he used to prefer living in over marriage, but deep inside, he is firmly rooted in traditions. atleast that what i think.

on the comment about being celibate...since i was the one who made the comment, i thot i should respond...keeping in with what u mentioned about nani's comment, ur perspective seems correct...but i guess i read Arnav as a man who will not be like his father in the sense of committing infidelity...for me the greater sin is having a physical relationship while being in a committed relationship..not being in a physical relationship itself which is not bound by social mores...
If he intended to be celibate in his relationship with La, what was the need to live-in? I wouldn't judge ASR or for that matter any person harshly on the basis of having had a past fling, where i presume the score was known to both parties...and i would say that this is a liberty/choice that is available to both sexes. what people do traditionally is another matter and imo, Arnav never bargained for falling in love with a traditional creature like K...
Having said that, now how that affects the ARHI story is another matter and so in the breath, i also mentioned it is an unsavory complication, one that requires great sensitivity and maturity to handle in a situation where both women are alive.
Just putting across my thot process...
Rekhs..about ASR being celibate yet living-in with La..i think that happened because of how Khushi was affecting him..he was too busy putting all his energies into hurting/thinking about K that all other things went right out of his head...

i brought up that issue to point out that in regular parlance living-in indicates a relationship between two people who could be in a physical relationship (frankly what people do in the privacy of their bedrooms is their concern) but are not married. I am not sure if i have put that correctly..

Deletei agree, when both partie agree then the affair/fling doesnt seem wrong in almost all cases... but ASR was deeply traumatised by his father's infidelity.. m not talking in general terms here... m only talking about arnav. the boy seems to be around 10, rite. so the child would have been conceived when anav was atleast 20 or 21, would he have had the time and energy then for such a relationship?? wasnt he supposed be working towards the revenge at that time? or was it just a fling for destressing? sumhow, it doesnt sit well with me.
and with la, there was no physical relationship, atleast that was not shown. my point is, if a minor annoyance like khushi, could occupy his mind so much o that he didnt concentrate on taking his relationship with his girlfrnd to the nxt level, would he have had any romantic affair during earlier years when the wound of suicide of his mom and dad was still raw??

exactly krish...i feel the same...ASR prefers living in over marriage simply bcoz he didnt want commitment...didnt feel love...the whole past year was almost about ASR feelings, him running away and finally accepting his feelings - love for khushi... now if he falls for another woman now what was the point of all that...

my AD is getting back on track girls...trying to spend maximum time with my baby....she learned so many new things during this time and i missed all that... trying to make up for the lost time...
watched some beautiful Arhi moments that i missed but could not enjoy due to all the off screen drama...will watch again after a bit of cooling...
writers,directors,actors,PH,SP - sab apni AD mein busy hain aur hum Arhi ki SKD mein boiling with anger...

Of course apna ASR din't notice anything and she might have been too afraid to profess love given his nature and her nature too ...she looked lady ASR. So thats where chotu ASR gets the traits ....he is not ASRs kid. Someone at FB had done great interpretation of him walking and talking like ASR is because he is trained to be so. Mommie was too mich in love so she brought up her son like that. Of course there is venom as far as khushi is related. ASR had been what he was at the beginning totally against love and marriage ...so to see him married and obviously in love and so casual with her kid might have not gone well.

i waited so long for this scene and it played out somewhat as I wanted par intensity was lacking. I guess BSs gazing eyes does have the reciprocatind factor which was missing with BD.
Mamas garden is cursed. Dekhte hain if thrid time is lucky. BS voice was dubbed but it was his voice. Bandha has cold I guess. Sanaya was off today completely. And can they puleej stop passing that fugly jawline as Baruns. And what was that with stubble and blue-brown switch. Ufff ....romantic episode ka khichdi bana diya. Different flavour khila diya :P
Also the fact that he never ever felll for anyone else is clear from last scene and if ever he is accused of it ....khushi will be the bahadur one to fight it. Bas. Hum khush !! :D :D

And with the way Sheetal did the disappearing act and her expression and tone when she emphasised that he was HER kid took away any doubt that it was ASR's kid.

My theory is that kid is not her son. She loved arnav and wants to get back int his life. She meets Shyam who wants to get this kid into Raizada house because he s arnav's brother, not son. Did they mention how old the kid was. Anyway sand castles dont have to be built on facts. So that is the reason he is like asr. So Shyam has planted sheetal mom to entice and cause rift between arnav and khushi using this boy.
Otherwise why did mm leave kid n Sabji market, alone, without an adult.

Actually about time, AD took that decision...its for the best...there was nothing for him to do in IPK...gosh these two did not even involve him in the "remove shyam abhiyaan"...so i am happy that he took this decision....

-thank you all for the warning - kept my hopes low and knew that BDs were used - so the epi for me was perfect (i would rate it better than the birthday one - yesterdays does not count!) - the birthday epi was too unfair for my taste- today, it was perfect - very balanced and for once their fight did not seem contrived - any loving husband would loose his cool and go all - "what if you got hurt - stay out of this" kind of stuff and any self respecting girl would have felt bad - yes she did not need the world to pat her on the back but can bet you anything she wanted her husband to say - wow, that's my girl (something he actually did say!)
i did not feel the actors were off - yes they def give it 110% when they talk to each other, with BDs it goes down to 90% so does seem like a big drop - but once you accept that this drop is inevitable coz of BDs - you realize they are such good actors!

I liked the episode and am finding it difficult to see any kind of separation. He loves and respects his wife. She is brave and fearless and even though he feels she gets involved with everything and everyone, he knows that this is her nature and is proud of the person she is and what she does. If the child is his, and I hope he is not, there is no reason why he can't be part of his life without sidelining his wife.

Sheetal's body language her demeanor was as if she is trying to keep her son away from ASR...she did not jump at the chance to meet up with him or leave contact info..ASR is a celeb so its not like she has not known how to contact him..
And you cannot deny how closely they modeled the kid after ASR..It has to be ASR's kid otherwise it just sounds stupid :)

I would expect to see Sheetal do some drama, Arnav get all guilty and furtive about it, and Khushi (since she has the brains for the moment) starts to work out the holes in Sheetal's story.
Or make it vice versa ... Khushi gets all mahaan and Arnav gets the brains for this round (since Khushi had them for the Shyam expose, so it's his turn) ... and he exposes Sheetal's plans.
And of course, if this is all the latest plan of our resident Snakewa, who's currently MIA, then nothing like it ... I did think he would be back with his villainy from the outside. A kid inherits genetic characteristics, maybe anger ... not ones like saying 'What the ...' - those are due to upbringing ... or training.

Excellent summarisation. I too liked and enjoyed it after holding my left hand to hide arnav's BD. His bald pate and stiffness was a distraction. Khushi's was fine. So holding my left hand up did the trick. I was surprised because even when the real arnav came into the scene, he came after my hand. So enjoyed the episode very much.:-D
Usha, I know, the BD's annoyed me a lot ... the tell-tale sign was that Arnav and Khushi were always in separate frames ... fortunately they didn't focus on Khushi cupping Arnav's face because the BD's hands are very different from Sanaya's, and that's a dead give away! I was able to focus on the faces on re-watch and ignore the BD's ... and that made it better.

ReplyDeleteI thot a lot about something that J and Su have been telling in their posts...J made a statement about threads being woven back into story and while i had a small diff of opinion on that, her response made me think this aspect. And Su, ofc has been a strong champion of the PH story telling mode...which i have accept they have in ability but somehow lack in intention...
There is disquiet atleast in my mind and its also perhaps my greatest gripe with IPK about the 4th promo did not play out well at all..
we have been talking of manhaan khushi but this time, it will not be mahaan khushi who will have any role to play when the twist in tale unfolds, imo.
the 4th promo says of Arnav" kaash main tumse mohabbat kar pata"....
we read it as many things over this period and some of it has indeed played out but one scenario yet to play out is that of the photo of K and A together and A forced to tear that apart.
I always wondered about A's peculiar habit of never seeking the truth..always content in accepting whats before him about himself and his loved ones..He did that with his father too..I wonder if he is going to face a situation where he will consider himself unworthy of K's love becos of circumstances, which may even make him perhaps understand his father's peculiar position if it turns there is some other story to that past
My creativity does not extend to putting out scenarios but i feel it could be a case of Arnav purposefully walking out on Khushi due to facing an unpleasant fact(?) about himself and considering himself unworthy of K's love...His dialogues yesterday at the garden has already set some of that in motion. THis is perahps going to be his biggest peetal ka bartan from which only Khushi can pull him out becos "Kaash hum apse nafrat kar pate"

DeleteYday when I finished watching the epi after a long time I wanted to set aside all the offscreen stuff & hope again that the story will unfold & unfold well.
When ASR bows his head - the SUV scene after janmastami - Khushi speaks of him disrespecting someone & how she shall not stop & watch, he says to avert her face, she tells him “aap kabhi sar jhukaa liya karo (she meant before God but to me many a times it has seemed Khushi & his love for her are Arnav's God & his faith/religion)
The initial episode when after Payal's wedding is stopped Khushi fries jalebis & her babuji walks up to her & affectionately places his hand on her head & lets her know that what she did was courageous & indeed a good deed but she should have informed him at least. Khushi had understood her mistake and his worry.(the hospital scene of Arnav placing his hand on Khushi's head and today’s ending scene)
He had then told her how relations of the heart are more special than relations of blood. Khushi has always been shown as close to her babuji. Yes she loves her maasi but she is fonder of her bauji. Plus why still think about those stars when her parents are with her? (Time then for the thorn hurting equiv FB from Khushi’s POV in the future?)
Since that day at the hospital, post MC when the OT doors opened & I saw the family all arrayed in a V - Arnav lead with Khushi on his right & the family arrayed like geese flying home behind them, it had seemed then that the doors to the past had opened & much will now come out that the families & mainly Arnav will have to face. It was after that the ArHi “Mat Jao” happened as well & later before the 1st garden visit Khushi's dialogue of I will slip away from between your fingers & run so fast that you will be unable to find me. In the garden he spoke of his mum telling him to have patience and off late Khushi has been telling him a lot to have sabr nai?
Khushi is yet to understand why her eyes teared when he came back for La after she went & fought with him. He did what she wanted yet she was upset. She fought with him on yelling at La about the dress & then when they hugged something pricked her. She still thinks Arnav broke his engagement with La but she does not realize why? Because even back then he loved her but she was then engaged. She has not thought about why the night she was getting engaged to Shyam all she could think of was Arnav.
Khushi is yet to make the journey from the day they met till date about why her heart has always trusted him. She I think will have another realization - the journey of mohabbat where the FBs will be of how he always took care of her, he was always there for her when she prayed for strength, how DM's ishaara was always there right before her eyes. It will then strike her why he fought the goons, got her bangles, became a waiter, why he married her the 1st time.
Mami's icecream talk made me think of peetal bartan. So if in the near future, it seems to appear that the child is Arnav's Khushi to save Arnav any dilemna may walk away (maybe go missing when he is on travel of some sort?)
Khushi's past made Arnav accept his biggest truth. Arnav's past will make Khushi accept hers? Also this should lead to him dealing with fear of loss & her dealing with fear of loneliness.

DeleteAnd yes the 4th promo may play out - It is Khushi who has the torn AK photo, a photo from which she has torn out herself but later puts it back while Arnav rues being unable to love her by crushing hat photo in her hands - perhaps that temple moment of Arnav realizing in her absence how what he wrote for himself was influenced by destiny / DM. That day I think Arnav will finally understand why he chose to marry Khushi that fateful night. Anjali will play a role in bringing them back together.
I was thrilled to see Khushi watering roses in Arnav's garden. She planted the rose bush the day the past came back to knock on the present. Yet again today she is watering half bloomed flowers when another element of the past has walked in. I shall wait for the day when the bush has full blooms.
That scene also made me think of Arnav with shears (in white shirt) speaking of the chot Khushi had given him on pag phere day. I am guessing that eventually when matters come to a head, Arnav will want to talk to Khushi and explain but she will not be willing to listen. Perhaps she will end up thinking he broke her trust on him and his love? But eventually she will be silent when the winds talk to her and remind her of how he could never have done so?
And the blue dress with him in a gray shirt - the day she comes back to RM thinking he is not at home & is entrapped between his arms & she calls him character dheela he had threatened her then & on other occasion of how he had not yet shown her badtameezi but Khushi had him pegged one way just because of his outward demeanour. Maybe that perception will have a revisit? (All the jis in the Kitchen & talk of being alone in the garden, that day they were alone at RM). Marriage had again come up that day between these 2). Khushi derided him then for thinking about living in but perhaps the times to come will make her rethink her views and try and understand how even then he had done the decent thing with La though he was living in with her. Why he insisted that Khushi not fill La’s head with ideas because those were promises he could never fulfill.
And for what is worth, Shyam’s plan or not, that kid is not Arnav’s son. The kid may have been led to believe so else ASR has been planted as a role model for the child. Sheetal seems to be someone who liked Arnav in college but perhaps never had the courage to approach him for she feared rejection. She came across as a single mom who was proud this was her son and was raising him alone.
Incidents are going to pit them all together in the present and combined with the child’s uncanny resemblance to him, plus some well repeated comments of the family about how he reminds them of Arnav as a kid 1 and 1 are going to become 1 too many. Plus I shall not be surprised if NK develops the hots for Sheetal and goes on and on to Khushi about how good a female she is and asks for tips to impress her. Khushi is soon going to be mighty annoyed with all the men in her life doing Sheetal jaap ; )
Much like ARnav was when Khushi came to return the mannat ki chaabi? ;)
If they manage Khushi's realization well then it will be a recall and repeat of the terrace scene when Arnav told her ILU dammit!

I was probably thinking of ways in which some part of Gargi's news seems justified....arnav can move away from K only if he is in a peetal ka bartan....never otherwise and certainly not fall in love with another woman...he can move away if only he thinks he is undeserving of her and what brings that on?
His anger at his father has always been a self-righteous one and imagine being in a situation when he is going to be almost in the same situation....I am just imagining the scene if it ever turns out that he is told that he is that child's father....its a complicated one.."I am not like my father and i never will be"...
But of course, if we put Garg's scenario aside, what u written above has all the makings of what dia, u and many others have been talking of.....of this track being that of Khushi's realisation/growth as a child-woman that has never been essayed even remotely like arnav's, for her its always been a case of "play play at being married"
But it is a diff track to portray unless there is some drama underneath...for regular audiences..but this is gud time for experimenting becos there is no TRP challenge
and sandy, I say difficult track becos apart from online audiences, no one even realises perhaps that K needs a graph to move on in this relationship.
Deleteor the realisation they can become emotional equals perhaps after that rise in graph only...so while there is that subtle touch in the story telling, i wonder if the child is going to be the catalyst pretty much like what bubbly was intended to achieve in the earlier track but was not used....going to be used to further that point in the story...
so maybe TRP audience will buy in to the drama of the child but the online aud largely will look with a toothcomb on what it is doing to K and A...

DeleteI noticed this sheetal's exp when she turns to look at Arnav...she has immly recognised but does not want to react. then arnav places her and calls out "Sheetal" for confirmation and she reacts in a assumed way saying "Arnav" as if she is trying to be sure about it.
So at the moment, she does not look like she wants to do anything with this man, if she can help it tho the displeasure at knowing K is his wife remains unexplained...she again becomes cordial at the end thanking K when she leaves and does not address Arnav at all.
so is this Madhura known to be a good actress...just wondering becos she managed to convey the above emotions without much difficulty?

DeleteYesterday I got hopeful again about the storyline they want to unfold ... this time with no threat of TRP's for the next one month, can we hope that the cv's can stick to what they want to show?
First, Gargi's news was about ASR ... one thought - the most optimistic one ;) that it was about Akash, not Arnav ... Akash exiting by mid-November. Ok, not happening, they will still have to deal with Payal :D
So getting real ...
First - yesterday's last scene ... a final step on Arnav's RTR ... the reversal of the multiple insults he has always heaped on Khushi - low aukat, gold digger, characterless, even as late as just after the kidnapping when he said Di would have been better off if she had not come into their lives ... all those redeemed, as he acknowledges that she does things for others without counting the cost to herself ... the numerous times she had to hear Shyam's vile insults, the hate she faced from the family, from Anjali, yet she persisted to uncover Shyam's truth ...
On Wednesday, Arnav had subtly insulted her again by his comment that it was better if she didn't become too much of a jagruk citizen ... again today it played out that in his anger he lashed out and told her she was being stupid for helping Aarav without thinking things through, putting herself into danger as well, not asking others for help ... hence her deep hurt at his words, that the person she loves the most, misunderstands her to this extent ... again contributing to her feeling of low self esteem.
Sandy pointed out the very first instance at Payal's first broken wedding when Babuji rebuked her for the same thing - she should have told someone older, rather than go off to set such a big thing right on her own.
Sandy has also always pointed out that Khushi has never taken herself seriously ... Sandy, you said it again above - Khushi has never given herself and her own feelings priority, she always ignored them, right from La's time, when she didn't try to understand why she felt upset when Arnav broke La's fast, when he hugged La ...
Till now, Khushi has been the one to distance herself from Arnav every time a crisis happened ... like leaving RM because Anjali was angry after the first Shyam showdown, when Arnav brought up the contract marriage ... even going back to the initial episodes when she decided to go back to Lucknow ... because she always felt he could live without her - again her low self-esteem, her lack of self-importance.

DeleteYesterday she promised him again that she will never leave him ... a repeat of the promise she made on the BP night, when he asked her to promise that, and in return she gave herself to him ... a promise she upheld when she waited for him at the mandap when everyone else thought he wouldn't come ...
Yesterday Arnav said that she was a better person than he was ...
Yesterday he gave her respect, and his reprimand was gentle, like her babuji's ... stop to think before you do something for others, I know you do it out of goodness, but you're important to me and I don't want to lose you if you do something reckless.
So I think this time she will not leave him ... now he has shown her time and again that she is very important to him, he can't live without her.
Which means that this time Arnav will be the one to leave her ... maybe temporarily, maybe out of guilt that he betrayed her the way his father betrayed his mother ... yes, Aarav was conceived way before Khushi was ever in Arnav's life, but the guilt will be there. Guilt could be another way too - that he unknowingly maybe, abandoned a child who needed him ... and conflict that the child needs a father.
Now he is married to Khushi, he was never married to Sheetal ... so ideally conflict should not arise ... Sheetal looks independent and wealthy enough to take care of a child on her own, plus we don't know yet whether this meeting was accidental or planned ... and he definitely had no idea about a child. He doesn't even appear to think the child could be his at all ...
But this is a soap, so conflict WILL arise in some form ...
So far from what we've seen on screen, I don't see Arnav falling in love with Sheetal and wanting to leave with her ... there has to be some other factor coming into play if they go that way. The factor of Arnav thinking he is undeserving of Khushi because he has fathered a child out of wedlock may come in play here, and Khushi might further that feeling ... she would be hurt and upset, even though it happened well before her time ... no woman would like such news. Worsening Arnav's guilt this time ...
He felt guilty that he couldn't keep Anjali happy, even though he tried his best ... Khushi had stopped him from going into his peetal bartan then, told him he had always tried his best ...
Now will his guilt be that he couldn't keep Khushi happy, even though he keeps trying his best. He has hurt her the most ... and at a time when they're getting ready for their life together, maybe planning their own family, this new dhamaka comes up ...
Rekha, I felt exactly the same way about Sheetal ... she waited for Arnav to acknowledge that he knows her before she said his name ... and she left pretty quickly too, without saying the usual 'let's catch up, let's meet again' kind of things you would normally say if you met an old friend.

Displeasure at knowing Khushi is his wife ... IF Aarav is indeed Arnav's son, or even if he isn't, but Arnav is an old flame which has never quite died, she wouldn't be very happy to meet his wife, would she?
The way she acted, it seemed Sheetal knew - or at least thought - that Arnav was Aarav's dad, and she had no intention of letting him know that fact ...
And Sandy, I would rather like it if NK developed the hots for Sheetal, and both Arnav and NK kept praising Sheetal in Khushi's hearing, making her all hot and bothered and jealous about it.:)))

But yes Arnav was totally chilled out and had no reservations while Sheetal seemed surprised at bumping into Arnav and definitely to learn that he had married - guessing she must have wondered as the Arnav of yore would have spoken of not being into marriage and all.
I was also thinking of how G's news would fit in and honestly I don't know how they will finally depict it. All I could think of is due to the upcoming UK trip, there will be some tension and perhaps a judaai betwen A and K.
More than his father, I would think Arnav's mum choosing to abandon him and Anjali by taking her life would be more relevant here.
A thinking he is undeserving of her - perhaps with that dialogue of her being a better person than him yday? Perhaps K wants to move away and he does not stop her? Dunno but gut feel is this time K moves away and not A. There is that bit about A forgiving Garima for her role in his past and not letting the past interfere in their present any longer.
Hope the execution of the scenes gets better and stays that way. Else whatever they show will be a mess.

his bending in front of Khushi just set those things in motion, (i saw this again at 8 pm when it airs here) and all i could think was why is this man extolling all her virtues...nothing out of the ordinary he said but when u juxtapose it with the scenario of him confronted with the "reality" that all he stood against is looking him in the eye in the worst possible manner...(agreed, he is not K's culprit becos of that but just that he is at the crossroads again) another middle of the road scene for him again?

DeleteIn Arnav's world it would have been ok for him and Sheetal to have been going out while in college. Plus Sheetal chose not to tell him about the kid (if he is the father). Yes she looks capable of raising the child on her own and emphasized that he was her son.
Agree that on meeting Khushi, girls are usually more emotional after breakups especially if she had hooked up with Arnav hoped for him to change his mind and then he had not and they parted ways only to see him married to Khushi today.
Esh - will Khushi try to rectify Arnav's life by playing cupid - like she tried to La's by telling her how important marriage was and getting her sold to it eventually. Ofc Arnav is no La and he is not going to appreciae this at all. SO Khushi is going to try and play cupid so that he sees Sheetal as the better option and goes away with her for the sake of the child?
K would not hold the child against him but will her experience of having been an orphan and found a loving father prompt Khushi to recitify? K may begin to emotionally detach though she cannot help but still care and A perhaps after he cotton onto her scheme, refuses to play ball initially and leaves on a business trip. When he cools down he agrees to her scheme and does teh exact same I hope tumhe faraq nahi padhta Khushi that happened with La? (alright creatives please surprise me and dont do a simple copy past of history pleej however much you like your 360)
For Arnav seems the sort who would be willing to give financial support and name to the child if indeed it is his yet basis the fact that Sheetal never informed him and that he loves Khushi and is now married to her, stay true to Khushi by letting her know it all and continue life with her. To him staying true to his love and not abandoning the child would matter. Bas.
On K always leaving A, I always felt it was becasue she told herself she would be able to live without him. And so far he has never let her. What if he calls her bluff and allows her to go? Does she really think she can live without him? She has to realize she needs him as much as he needs her. Coming back to him for him is ok but coming back to him for her sake os without him she is incomplete would be right nai?

DeleteOn 1) This chotu will be a catalyst to further cement the ArHi relationship. Nothing like some parentage issues to test those promises of love and trust for humeshaa.
At first things may seem to rift apart only to come back to bond resoundingly. After all jab DM raazi to Khushi Kumaari kaise le jaay baazi?
On 2) K will not want that child to suffer loss of aparent - she will imagine him growing up to be another Arnav. Not considering that the mothers in each cae are different type of people, differing in thier strengths ot face the world. CHotu's similarity to ASR will not help.
Arnav is gonna be shocked, stumped and then his pragmatic self will take over. He will speak to Sheetal and if she will have him in Aarav's life he would want to participate. Just like separated parents do. As for Arnav feeling guilty it will depend on how vampish Sheetal's character becomes and if she really wants to get back with Arnav now after having raised that child all these years.
You know last night it crossed my mind that the day Khushi accords Arnav the same position in her life as her babuji 9and actively realizes it herself) - she will have that hospital hug moment - nahi hai himmat hummein aapko khone ki!
By catalyst, i meant he is paavam doing his usual stuff...no relation of arnav...(sheetal is just a harmless admirer of AsR like the many in IF and elsewhere) and our Khushi is the resident sherlock holmes and gets down to some nosy business and all mayhem of the OTT and not so OTT variety follows

DeleteNope, not rolling my eyes :D I do agree with you totally about Khushi getting a sense of self ... and I also want her to go through the realisation that she cannot live without Arnav, it's not just the other way round. Garima said it to Dadi, that Khushi will not be able to live without Arnav, but Khushi has found more security in the fact that Arnav cannot live without her ...
That sense of self might also come in when she put herself and her need for Arnav in words. And thus gives Arnav more reassurance that she needs him as much as he needs her ... because he is the ultimate protector for Khushi.

ReplyDeleteI loved all the scenarios of the 4th promo playing out the way you all wrote it but I still feel that the kid is not arnav's. I have no problem if it is arnav's. But the mom has not bothered to contact him for whatever reason all these years and arnav might have been 20 when this kid was conceived. Arnav Singh Raizada can supposedly be easily found. So a google search would have found him even if they met at Harvard. And f they were classmates in Delhi, arnav is right here n Delhi.
So if the mom has carried on with bringing up the child without contacting arnav, she might continue to do so.
Now there are two scenarios.
One the vamp angle and all this being a setup and the kid is not arnav's. If he keeps n saying no but khushi is convinced, he agrees to go with sheetal to prove this whole thing wrong. So it will be a frantic arnav trying to prove himself innocent the same way khushi frantically tried to prove herself innocent right till the airport.
If on the other hand he s the father and khushi decides to do a great sacrifice and tells him to go with sheetal, not sheetal asking for him to come with her but khushi telling him it is the right thing t do for the child and she can live without him etcetera. And he has to prove to her that she cannot. So it is a track for khushi's realisation as well of how much she also needs arnav - Kaash hum aapse nafrat kar paate.

Regarding festivals, there is a whole lot f them coming up. Will they exist in the ipkknd calendar. They did not do teej. So will they do a karwa chauth. So will they be separated before the karwa chauth. Then it will be will arnav break khushi's fast or sheetal's who for some reason like lavanya decides to keep the fast.
So ths time for Diwali, again going by their track record of spoiling festivals, he will be getting engaged to sheetal on Diwali and khushi will be in the background.
Has anybody seen the movie Aaina - it is an old movie with jackie shroff, juhi chawla and Amrita Singh. A triangular love story about love, realisation etcetera.

whatever it is..i just realised....i am holding on to some thread of hope so that the actual ARHI romance goes on unblemished...so i have taken the conscious decision of only reading written updates and only then watching the serial...
I did not look at the exchange between arnav and sheetal until i got the all-clear from the updates...call it stupidity of the worst kind but i hoped for a thanda response for sheetal from arnav.
why i can't bear for aarav to be arnav's kid is that it complicates the situation beyond comprehension esp becos telly audiences in india will have no acceptance of visitation rights or custody rights..the creatives they will go thru the usual rona-dhona route unless we have some nayi soch here(??)
On a totally unrelated note, where do u have schools like the one in SOTY? and where do u have 20 something year olds going to school?

Yep, KKHH was KJo's best effort, simple M&B storytelling, although I would have wished for some changes ... after that, he's gone for more style less substance. I liked KKKG too, but in this genre of modern romance with old-fashioned values, DDLJ is my favorite. Aditya Chopra has never made anything nearly as good since then.

Don't talk to me about SOTY. Yesterday I was the pool driver driving four 12 year olds who all were going ooh, aah, We have to have to see SOTY THINGY. It sounds soooooooooooo coooooool. Ooooooh. I rolled my eyes and raised it till it reached my hair. And then two girls go, oooooh, it will be soooooooo coooooool if we can go aloooooooone. This s exactly their conversation. I think they thought I was the driver who does not understand english. Now even I am curious about ths movie. I am movie crazy but this didn't spark my interest till this Convo.
And anybody who raised eyebrows at khushi's driving, I saw a lady in the biggest traffic jam shift her 2 year old kid to her lap while driving and then continued driving with the kid on her lap. I saw her from my rear view mirror and prayed for her. You can't even tell anybody anything here. There is a good chance of being called padhe likhe badtameej for your effort in trying to educate them.
