Khushi's khurafati dimaag in action ... drive the man mad. Lady Macbeth went mad out of her own guilt ... Shyam babu has no such inconvenient issues. So he has to be helped along the way.
Attack One - Glass pieces everywhere that only he can see ... blank calls that only he gets ... Shyam thinks he's going mad. And he has the nerve to tell Arnav that he's worried about Anjali, not himself about the glass pieces ... Arnav is going to give the game away with his temper if her's not careful. That or strangle Shyam ... it was almost the latter today if Khushi hadn't intervened. Anjali starts to see a new, angry side of her saintly hubby that she hasn't seen in the last three years ... much to her horror. SMJ ko Gussa Kyon Aata Hai ...
Such a pleasure to watch a villain tormented and frustrated and writhing in pain ... Abhaas was damn good, Shyam was on screen for the bulk of the episode, and I didn't mind a bit
Anjali looked positively scared at this new, not improved hubby of hers.
Arnav tries to inject some sense into the proceedings, and call in the police, but Khushi has had bad experience of Slippery Shyam slithering out of all accusations ... besides, it's necessary to convince Di, or she might just go on an indefinite bhookh hartal again and get Shyam out of jail, if it comes to that. The woman is blind ... as Arnav has to angrily acknowledge. Completely felt his anger ... poor Anjali is getting traumatized by two small cuts on her beloved KP, and KP made her walk on glass, fall down stairs ... just to meet his own ends.
NK the saarthi is back ... ever ready faithful friend by Khushi's side, ready to help her in all her capers, especially those involving a certain Snakewa whose antics he has seen with his own eyes, and whom he detests as intensely as Khushi herself does.

BS and San were superb, San with her perfect comic timing, BS giving her great support as the "Shaadi karke phans gaya yaar" clueless pati, and NK continuously patting/thumping/punching Arnav on the back and providing the necessary prompts when required ... which they were
A throwback to the Payash suiiiicide drama when Arnav forgot his lines ... he did so again!!!
I wonder how Daljeet managed to keep a straight face through this ...
And things get serious as Arshi tell NK about the abortion pills Shyam tried to give Anjali ... and Khushi holds Arnav's hand comfortingly, he is still miserably upset and angry about the lost baby.
(SN - abortion pills??? What eej, please?! And how many tapes did they manage to see? They watched a whole freaking movie there or what?!!! And managed to get the medicines tested all in one day?)
Precap ... the pills Khushi helpfully gave Anjali for Shyam were the abortion pills ... so what are they going to say? That they got them from Anjali's room? Does Anjali know that these were given by Shyam?

What exactly is Khushi's plan?
Is it to make Shyam confess? Like Mami did in front of DM?
Or is it what she said to Arnav- it's important to break Anjali's blind trust in Shyam. Even more important than finding proof.
Khushi does know Shyam ... she is probably the only person who has seen his completely ugly side ... when he confessed outside the warehouse about planning to kill Arnav and take over his property.
Will she use her brains enough to put together the pieces she knows?
That Shyam depends on his smooth tongue and charming ways ...
That he is very clever and thinks on his feet to block all loopholes ...
That Anjali has only seen the smooth, charming, doting husband, the family man, who cares for everyone in her family and has been victim of a big misunderstanding ... The best way to win over a woman is to be loving and respectful to her family ... Shyam has followed this principle to perfection.

That Shyam tends to get over-confident when things are going right ...

Arnav wants to go to the police ... I agree, they should ... and get in a private detective disguised as a servant or something ... because to expose Shyam's true colors to Di is still a must. Otherwise she will tell the police that yes, she did meet Shyam behind her brother's back, she did want him back in RM, because he is her husband. Till it is proved conclusively that Shyam deliberately killed her baby, Anjali is not going to wake up.
So far only Khushi is doing the planning, Arnav needs to subdue his anger for long enough to think straight and plan coolly too!!! So far he hasn't got over the fact that Shyam hurt his sister and killed her baby ...

I was afraid she was going to suggest a pooja here ...
Khushi probably thought so too, so she quickly turns her on the right track ... no, it's all stress and overwork, he just needs to take his medicine ... and he's refusing to do so. Pout again.
Anjali adds her emotional blackmail, it's always worked in the past, she has no clue it's completely unnecessary now ... Chotey, not even for me ?
Arnav grits his teeth ... yes, Di, just for you ... his eyes murderous on his smirking wife ...
Khushi further massages Anjali's ego .. Di, thank god you were here, he took it just because of you ... and adds, as though the brilliant idea just struck her ... why don't you give this to your KP also? Since he's also apparently having hallucinations?
While NK forces some water down Arnav's throat
Anjali swallows the bait like a lamb ... yes, she'll take the medicine for her dear Shyamji ...
And Arnav neatly switches the medicine bottle and sends Anjali off with it ...
Khushi delighted ... my plan, how can it not be a success?

And NK is as shocked and disgusted at the extent of Shyam's villainy as Arnav and Khushi were ... Arnav still hasn't got over it ...

about the dumbing down of ASR, i would say its better that they have so far made it a Khushi's Khurafaati dimag and he indulging her becos well the thing he would really like to do is get the police involved (thats the right approach for any sensible person) but can't say no to his prankster wife....who seems to be under the impression that one needs to provide proof to the police...khair...Shwethu actually in this manner the ASR myth lives on....don't despair...about the dikrafication....thats another story....SP allows women to have the upper hand with the sound blessings of elders in the family...

I thought Shyam v ASR would be more of ASR using his dimaag and his money power ... put cctv cameras all over, set a PD to follow Shyam, but since villain has lost his brains, Khushi's ideas are more than enough apparently.

DeleteAsh, there is a curious love affair between the CT and pills. sometimes the most obviously different pills get mixed up, sometimes guys recognize pills from unmarked bottles! anyway, at least once every week, someone forces down a pill.. sometimes with milk, sometimes with water :)
di's pregnancy period was the worst.. every day poor anjali had to swallow some color pill or another :D "di, did you take your meds?" was a daily dialogue..
so arnav bitwa did indeed force down an abortion pill? ab khushi ka kya hoga ROFL (and that glare he sent NK for doing that.. uff! )
usual length of tracks in IPK is 2 weeks.. so i guess by the end of next week, anji will slap shyam. hope there is a lot of masti in between!
Dia, mesoprostol (Cytotec) peel is an abortion peel. Abortion clinic uses that to induce abortion. However the cut off time would be first trimester, not in advance stage.

And I want Anji to face the family's aloofness like Khushi had to soon after her first wedding. A good growing up lesson for her. Plus Anjali needs to understand and acknowledge just how much Khushi has been hurt in people trying to protect her - Oh I would toh love an angry ASR dialgue hitting the nail in a moment of anger saying "Di, aapko paat bhi hai ki aapki khaatir maine Khushi koh kitni chot pahunchaayi hai?" or some such. And yeah Arnav reminding her of accusing him of lying but she herself did that.
Khushi can do the I understand Di and Di ki koi galti nahi hai and all but agar Arnav ne immediately maaf kiyaa toh another opportunity lost.

And Su, Anji baby thought of ASR when she had her acident. In her life he has always been first. SO she will never leave him that easily. And yes, like someone said on the blog it should now be a phase where she realizes that she has always needed him more than even her husband. And though he has spoken of her not leaving him, she has not really been there for him.
As for Ma Durga, Anji's restoration of self esteem has to be a gradual process. Especially when they showed the pits she fell in when she lost Shyam and the baby.
Besides sometimes get this feeling that finally it will be Khushi Shyam will target - she is the cause his plans fo money and having her have been foiled. And when he lashes out at khushi is when both families come together. Esp Arnav and Anjali who hav only received love and care from this girl who to them has always been a shadow / reminder of their mother.

I want Anjali's self-realization to come slowly after that ... what she has put Khushi and Arnav through with her obsessive dependence on Shyam, and refusal to see the truth despite all the hints she got ... catching Shyam in Arhi's room so many times, Khushi's fiance's name, the ring, Arshi's forced marriage ... She HAS TO know what Khushi went through for her sake ... she has a whole RTR of her own to complete.
Arnav will never let Anji leave with Shyam, especially now that he knows the depths to which the man can stoop. Sadly so ... I still have that SKD of him telling Shyam to make a home for himself and his wife without his (Arnav's support) ... and Shyam going blue at that one ... and Anjali seeing it. *Sigh* some things will never happen!!!
I also feel that this time when Shyam is thrown out, it is Khushi who he will target, he will hold her responsible for his defeat ... especially if it IS her plans which work to expose him.
And maybe the FINAL climax, which will be at the end of the show, will have the ASR finally return and make mincemeat of the villain for the very last time. Till such time, he will always be given enough scope to bounce back.
Also ... don't hit me for this ... this would be a way to slowly make Khushi the central character (even more than she already is) and to strengthen her, JUST IN CASE BS is planning to leave by December AND they are planning to continue the show. And also if BS wants leave again for another movie ... again Khushi's character has to become completely central and strong for that ... and Arnav will be weakened. Well, if BS wants to follow his dreams and still keep his safety net, that has to happen, he can't have his cake and eat it too.
Me, I would prefer a new ASR in that case ... I want the love story to continue, a new hero is better than an absent hero. There was a real vacuum when BS was off for 6 weeks, I don't want that again ... especially now when the togetherness is so nice to see.

DeleteShyam's link to past - I have always felt a family feud with Anjali's family and even related to her limp to begin with (if not polio). (I know there was talk of his sister and all but I neevr compeltely subsribed to it).
And the past is not done yet - because Arnav is yet to see and reconcile himself with Garima. Arnav wants to forget and move on but did not Khushi say face it and accept it. If his father was a cheater, his mother also was weak when she was tested. She who taught him so much could not stay on for her children when the time came (as of now unless she is shown to have been killed or some such). Garima was a portion of the past - and it went on for nearly 10 days (since the rm face off till wedding day and it is yet to be closed completely)
Shyam's plan was to keep the family charmed and duped to get his fiancial goal of usurping all the wealth and perhaps eventually ditching Anjali.
As for Shyam pulling a last minute trump card - this is where I am hoping it is the fact that whatevr Anji did he never told her or forced her, she did it herself. Maybe even throw Dadi into teh mix. He brought Dadi in for Anji's sake bcos Ani thot no one other than Dadi would understand her. Thereby in a roundabout way telling Anji that whatever happened to you, you brought it on yourself dont blame me. Let all know that Dadi was aware he was meeting Anji and she also met Garima in RM the day she accepted Khushi.
A lesson for Khushi too that Dadi was being vindicatove not just reactive.

Totally in agreement on Khushi being the sole target for SHyam henceforth. She has been his undoing from the start. And now he knows how much she means to Arnav, perhaps more than Anji too. So how better to cripple ASR than to target Khushi. Khushi getting critically injured by Shyam unleashing ASR against Shyam is something I would love to see.
I am also hoping to see a gradual self realization / RTR from Anjali - no more molly coddling from family except Khushi who will always stand up for and plead Anjali's case.
The only doubt is will Shyam twist any part of the story such that Anjali though angry with him professes a ned for him in her life? Yucky I know but are they going to show her want Shyam despite all that he has done because she is weak? I would rather they not and actually show her going for osychiatric help, speaking of the past with ASR, Nani, Khushi, facing her demons and thereby gradually acceptng reality.
Ma Durga - there was a time when I felt Anjali will rise and kill Shyam when he hurts or tries to hurt her baby. But now I wonder if it actually makes sense for it to be Khushi - Ma Durga alwasy reminds me of that Madhuri - Milind scene from Devdas and the tamasha ab khatam hua Chunni babau. Powerful and I can only see Khushi in that avtar.
Also, since teh kidnapping I have felt that the day Anjali actually accepts that Shyam tried to harm her borther will eb the day she indeed will rise in wrath against him - after the nek scene, now it feels it will have to be Shyam hurting both Arnav and Khushi that will make Anjali pull the trigger on Shyam.
You know a true nayi soch would be Anji wanting to stay alone and independent and ASR letting her do so.

DeleteIf Shyam has a link to the past, I hope it's not one which justifies his misdeeds in any way. Let it be something like Baazigar - his dad worked for ASR's dad, cheated him and was discovered and thrown out, and hence Shyam vowed vengeance. I do NOT want any redeeming factors for Shyam, nothing can redeem a man who has three murder attempts and one murder of unborn baby under his belt, plus of course the unrelenting pursuit of a girl clearly not interested in him.
About the past, yes, I also would like it to come back ... Arnav has accepted it but not moved on completely, he has not made his peace with Garima yet, and Anjali toh is another kettle of fish completely! So after Shyam is thrown out ... and considering that the last Creepali track brought down the numbers, I think another reason for the rush might be to finish it off quickly ... then the focus can switch back completely to Arshi and their own problems.

I repeat, I don't see Anjali as Durga in any form at all ... she might at most throw Shyam out of the house, but am sure she will plead with Chotey to not hand him over to the police ... besides, are they only going to expose the baby killing attempt? What about the attempts on Shashi, on Anjali and the final khulasa of the kidnapping? Surely all that needs to be done before you can call it the End of Shyam?
However, I believe this PH was bad at closing loops in Geet also, so not holding my breath for that one. And again, that will hasten the end of the show ... if they can't show the main villain being punished satisfactorily.
I also thought that the day Anjali realises that Shyam tried to kill Arnav, will be the day she rises against him ... but her tepid response to the kidnapping has killed that hope. Let's see her response to the baby killing ... if it's equally tepid, it will be Khushi donning the Durga Maa avatar ... maybe when she discovers that Shyam tried to kill Shashi. Again hopes slightly low there ... she does know that he tried to kill Arnav, yet she brought him back for Anjali ... that was disappointing enough in itself. I still think it was done to preserve ASR's character at her expense - it had to be Arnav or Khushi, they chose Khushi.
But I want an RTR for Anjali ... growing out of her fantasy world, knowing what cost others have paid for her sake, and a slight cooling from the rest of the family as they realise how much she contributed to Shyam's return ... yes, he was manipulating her, but she allowed herself to be manipulated because of her weakness and her own selfish needs.
Regarding Daadi, if they bring the character back ... and even if they don't ... yes, I also want the family to realise how Shyam manipulated Anjali and Daadi both ... and he is very shatir at this, he did the same thing with Buaji ... planted the thoughts and let the women do the talking. Thus allowing himself to get off scotfree ... for every accusation, he can turn around and say with perfect truth that he never TOLD them to do what they did ... He never told Dadi to call him back to RM, SHE decided it was the right thing to do, he never told Anjali to fast, in fact he urged her to take care of her health, it was HER decision. And even if they see those video tapes, that is exactly what they will see.

my two cents.. freaking hilarious second half. loved khushi's version of revenge.. i was smiling from the time mami asked about the ruckus from upstairs and khushi's dancing eyes.. (sanaya is too good yaar) and i love that they reduced arnav's simpering a bit.. he showed traces of the old ASR.. not just the villain-stronghold, but even when he was with khushi, there were traces of the old ASR there.. (can i attribute that to LM or not?)

DeleteEven I felt they switched bottles. If you look at NK and Arnav's facial expressions at that point, the moment Anji says yes to taking the medicines, it seemed there was a sleight of hand and the way Arnav passed the tablets to Anji indicated a switch.
Again try to make Shyam feel he is being played and he cannot accuse Anjali of trying to heap revenge on him without telling her the truth.
Or they have put normal headache pills in the bottle of the "abortive" medicine.

I am really enjoying seeing Shyam getting a taste of his own medicine, and the play between Arnav, Khushi and the ever faithfull and true friend NK. You really got to love that boy. Kushi and NK do the necessary and Arnav will hopefully be the calming influence. A little bit of romance would not come a miss, this is of course what we tune in for.

My fav dialogue -funnily Shyam's - Kya yeh poora ghar kaanch ke tukdon se bhara hua hai?
Well it was him who in a bid to separate ArHi pulled the past into the present in the form of Dadi. A Dadi who wanted to resuurect Sheesh Mahal - The Glass Palace in Shantivan. Together Dadi and he pelted the house in a bid to achieve their selfish goals in the process shattering the house of glass. On a night which was to be a man's happiest, he was yet again left with shards that cut and bruised him and his entire family. Wonder how the man who pelted teh stone and cause teh destruction forgot that he lived in the same house and if others faced shards, then he too will be hurt and bruised by them.
But breaking of glass walls is good. Many a times, we build a house, then it fills with people over time, relationship that are as fragile as glass giving rise to pseudo walls within the house. These glass walls while giving an assurance of clarity hide the fact that we have lose the physical prximity with each other's realities. There is a distance. ANd when the glass breaks, relationships may be broken, cracks may arise but we may just find each others hands again!
When Khushi spoke of police and proof, I wondered why not let the tycoon handle it with the power of his name. Well she never thinks of those and her dealing is all from her personal experience with Shyam, the police and the family the previous round. Mami needing proof, Shyam refusting every family member's claim for lack of proof. But mainly, the lady in question, Anjali, refusing to believe the words of all her family so deep and blind her faith in her husband. Plus another expose and throwing out Shyam quickly like before would lead to a possible distancing of Arnav by Anjali. A hurt for Arnav and a dent in his happiness, his happiness which is so precious to Khushi.
I am goign to stick to mygut feel of Samudra Manthan and Rahu Ketu - Mohini points I raised earlier this week. The way things are now that is the gut feel I have.

Khushi handling it ... I think the primary objective this time around is to convince Anjali of Shyam's true colors, that too, from his own mouth. His tapes are not evidence, besides his face is not there anywhere. His meetings with Anjali ... he still is her husband, if she was not allowed by her brother to meet her husband, and she wanted to meet him ... that is not a crime. In fact Arnav is guilty of separating a married couple, and that IS an offence. See why I said Khushi's suggestion to let them MEET was sensible?
He disguised himself as a dhol player ... again, not an offense when his wife knows about it, welcomed him and even helped to keep his identity secret. If accused, she will vouch for the fact that she knew who he was.
There is no evidence that he put the glass pieces there, in the promo they showed the wires, but in the show they haven't ... besides, Anjali chose to go for a midnight stroll with glass pieces sticking to her feet ... see what Shyam did the moment he stepped on glass ... he SAT DOWN and removed the damn things!!! That's what any sensible person does. How is it his fault if she didn't do that?
So if they go to the police, Shyam will get away scot free. Exactly as he did before. And Anjali will accuse Arnav of tarnishing her Shyamji's image again, he is as heart broken about the baby as she is, he even accused her of not taking enough care, and she feels guilty enough that because of her stupidity in falling down, their baby was lost.
By the way, who cleaned the glass pieces from the mat? And removed the wires? Probably Shyam himself ... now if they can find THAT footage, that would help.

ReplyDeleteASR - well his itch to just chuck the man out is apparent but he has seen what it did to his sister and how willing she was to take him back. She had not heard or believed a word the whle family and he had said to her. And hence I would ebelieve the restraint. Because this time if Shyam leaves, Anali needs to be part of that decision. Else her faith for him will always be a weak point the creep can leverage. Makes business sense to wait. And also makes sense that they shake his sister's belief with proof, facts and perhaps a confession from the man himself - the only one she may believe.
This time when Shyam is being exposed, I want him to stand up and share blame for all incidents on his beloved Rani Sahiba - unmask her weakness in front of the entire family and just like there were people to support Khushi last time, this time people will be forced to corroborate Shyam's words. Shyam neevr goes does alone and if he sinks, he will make sue his other half is also pulled down.
Nani, Mami, Payal, Khushi, ANjali herself would have to confirm.
And a parting shot perhaps that Arnav was so self-absorbed in his happiness that he could not be there for his sister and hence she turned to him. This one mainly to lay the guilt on Khushi.
Always in the Di ke liye drama, it is Khushi who has gotten hurt - physically, emotionally, psychologically.
It would be good to see how post all this the family reacts to Anjali - a little cold shouldering from all and anger and aloofness from Arnav would be good to see. Khushi of course will be the first to forgive and try to heal matters between Anji and the family.
Unless there is a nasty surprise, once Shyam is thrown outm they need to show ASR taking steps to freeze money, track Shyam and Di when she gos out, sek psychiatric help for his Di and so on. This time the Guptas also need to be told of what SHyam did and his lusting for Khushi needs to be highlighted by Buaji.
For now they think, the baby was his first attemot at taking a life but it was his 4th attempt, personally the 3rd. Those need to start coming in gradually too.
SN: Yes ASR was in character and all that but they have dumbed down what a man of means can achieve :(

DeleteI don't really know what track they can now conceive for Payash....there was so much potential around the kidnap reveal track even if the post Payash wedding phase was not fully leveraged.
the only point would be the revelation of the threat of breaking Payash marriage but again the point is moot now and the only people who know will not reveal it...Arnav_khushi for obvious reasons and Shyam, who is only likely to implicate himself by betraying that knowledge...so i wonder apart from playing second/third?? fiddle what can they do? Akash is fighting to get one scene on a daily basis...bechara..

I don't think so ... they can get her supporting khushi and keep her the way they did during wedding ... she sushed her saasuma .. Mami is already seen to have confessed to her sins ... they can show payal deciding its time to make things correct rather than waiting for it to. there's no way they can get Jijis character wrong and make fans regret wishing deepalis stay, until they decide to worsen Mamis character further and go ahead with crappy saas-bahu stuffs.

DP was supposed to have played Anjali first, then they felt DB was better for it. But I must say she did a very good job of playing Payal. Glad she is staying back- god for the show.

So, my hero is clueless. He has to follow the heroine’s lead. When it comes to dealing with calamities, he has no shatir dimag, only tearing fury that turns him blind. ASR almost ruined K’s plans yesterday with his immature reaction to Shyam. Adds more weightage to the theory that K is the real hero- rightly so!
She is the brains behind thhe whole plan- and he does look up to her, even if his ego hinders him fom admitting to it.
He will play along, even if it defies his sensibility, to the extent of claiming his share of glory… ROFL at that scene- Barun was really good playing the bad actor… and the characterization was cute too- KKG reads her hubby well- ASR ,and refusing a challenge? Nope!
ASR, and letting biwi put him down in front of NK? NOPE!

Loved Anjali yesterday, after a really really long time- in fact for the first time after the kidnap(except for one fleeting moment post RB)- her confusion with Shyam- DB acted well after a long long time. And Shyam totally flusterd that his RS seems to be thinking he has gone cuckoo- his frustration at being MU-ed- …AaaaH! He deserves it so well, and also that assault by ASR…VLR thrashing in myriad ways applauded.
Oops! Bacchha girane ki goli- loop closed- the cat is out of the bag? Will they maul him on that statement, or will he catch on to the plan?
Oh! All our shiddats for wardrobe for ODB and ODG seem to get misdirected to Anji as usual- nice saree!

mishti's latest spoiler...so she confirms that barun gave a 2 month notice to quit in dec.. and then she goes onto say that barun MIGHT NOT sign the movie after all...plus, PH and barun are negotiating stuff to manage things like they did during his first movie.. and she says show's not ending atleast till feb.. @Sam..where did you get the info that channel has extended BS and SI contracts for another year? :S Its so contradictory to the one mishti gave.. atleast abt BS..
my two cents : do I blame Barun Sobti for wanting to leave the show and moving onto green pastures?? Probably not...he has maybe given everything he has to the character Arnav...each aspect has been explored..all emotions portrayed - anger, passion, angst, love...if he feels there is nothing more to showcase as an actor for ASR, I can say that I agree with him.. because after shyam's exposure, I really don't see much..especially now even the past is out (which was also rushed in full speed :S) ... so I can't really say I blame him for wanting to move on from IPK... also, he would think its better to make hay while the sun shines.. every actor comes with a shelf life...nobody's gonna give a damn abt him a couple of yrs down the line after IPK..because there will be tons of Barun Sobtis out there waiting to explore the telly world..so its now or never.. in that case I hope the show either ends...or takes a leap with some new actors plus some older ones as I simply CANNOT accept anybody else as ASR...also I don't think the makers will take the chance.. ArHi/SaRun are the most popular jodi..they wouldn't want to tarnish them.. then again, I remember how popular rajeev khandelwaal and aamna sharif were and after rajeev left, they did bring in a new sujal garewal..I will till date never forgive them for that .. but again, that was an ekta show, this isn't..so therein lies the huge difference!
So, safest bet, I would say is end the show if Barun is qutting or take a leap and introduce their children.. like we already discussed, Sanaya as ArHi's daughter, Daljeet as Anjali and new hubby's daughter and Akshay as Payaash daughter.. :) I don't know if I'd watch that one..IPK also I took ages to watch and that too I started only coz of teri meri dance sequence.. :) its gonna be difficult to imagine another love story so soon for Sanaya.. let's see.. :)
on the other hand, mishti says that auditions for new payal are going on...but TOI has issued a article alongwith deepali's quote saying she isn't leaving the show.. :S now I don't know whom to believe.. mishti usually gives the most authentic spoilers so its hard to ignore her statements.. but then again, TOI and Deepali saying has to be authentic too.. :S I for one would be thrilled if deepali joins back, coz its gonna be difficult to visualise anybody else as Payal..plus she wouldn't eat up screen space like Daljeet did..she is not a fool to make such stupid negotiations.. and I'd rather watch Payaash anyday, no matter how boring they are..than di's antics.. :)
With anji to come to know about shyam's truth, the track's sure to wind up within a week or two..I wonder what they have after that! :S I think they are playing safe till Barun's movie thing gets clear and SaRun visit to the UK..after which they'll decide what direction to take..

DeleteI dread weekends these days. This bawaal starts!! Earlier it used to be anticipation of spoiler pics and spoilers themselves or better yet precap dissection for Mon epi.
I personally cannot envisage ASR and Khushi as anyone other than BS and SI. So if and when one or both leaves, IPK ends for me.
Given the furore, it was clear there was some fire causing the smoke but the silence also meant that nothing was decided (Gargs, are you in anyway connected to the PH / channel / IPK - you mentioned Dec in one of your last week's comments keeping in view SP being able to slot and promote a show to compete with BV)
And the only one I blame is the PH for shooting off their mouth without thinking or rather talking to people who perhaps cannot be credited for their discretion. Atually spoiler givers should learn to demarcate someplace - actors leave, negotiations - shd warrant a No Comment or I only give spoilers relaed to the show and story.
Or if PH / channel was testing waters to see if a BS replacement would work, well they should by now have their answer. Also the fact that the character and the jodi swept awards should have told them the truth.
SP is playing hitler because they have money invested with the UK trip as well as overseas subscription revenue. So they will put the pressure on keeping the lid till at least the trip finished - would be interesting to see their refund clause on the UK trip tickets.
But finally PH "leaking" the news makes the actor look bad and gives me unnecessary insight into stuff I am really happier not knowing. I for one believe he or SI are equally entitled to explore other offers. Even earlier they could have replaced BS if that is what they wanted but aftermath of SPA told them that would be a bad move so they adjusted.
Unlike many here, I started watching because of BS. I had seen snippets of his earlier show and when I saw scenes of IPK, I was stunned at the difference. Then the couple and the background music ensnared me. And then I chanced upon R&R and IPK became a part of my DNA. I will watch it until such time as I can see ArHi that I love or till such time the story does not nosedive into mindless junk.
Sandy, agree with you here.. ArHi are what they are ONLY coz of SaRun...take one out and they are absolutely nothing! They are fantastic as a team, literally can read each other's minds when it comes to enacting a scene..their timing is perfect - be it romance or comedy. It will be very difficult to envision another ASR/Khushi other than the ones that we have here.. and I also agree that both BS and SI are entitled to explore other options.. its just like any other profession, when you wanna quit your job, you just want to..you don't need to give anybody else any explanations..only difference here is that people get too invested in actors and the show...so they end up breaking millions of hearts..but in the end, actors also have a life - they gotta think for themselves too! So I'm probably not mad at Barun for wanting to quit.. I would be mad if they try to replace another actor as ASR and force him down our throats though..so if that happens, IPK and ArHi love story ends for me..I can satisfy myself by saying that the truest love stories do not have perfect endings..because love stories cannot end.. :) and I can move on..I'd rather watch Sanaya in a new show and a different character than watch her as Khushi with ASR..as much as I love her, this is something I just cannot do, come what may!

I do agree ... another ASR is very difficult to digest ... I would much prefer a leap and another love story ... but if the channel has signed them both, then I am pretty relaxed ... for me, this means that even if the show ends, they will be back on screen soon.
You remember by the end of MJHT, we were HOPING for the show to end, as it had become so crappy ... and we just wanted to see Monaya, especially Sanaya, back on screen soon. Well, we got our wish, she was back within six months, and she's gone from strength to strength.
BS was also back within three months of his previous show, and he has of course made it VERY big with this show ...
So there is no way they will disappear from sight. Good enough for me :)))
And if the channel realises their golden geese and they come back together in a brand new love story, then sone pe suhaga! SP will know the show will be a hit from the word go!

I guess its tuf for any PH or a channel when the character/actor become larger than life...as i said earlier, its a situation, where brickbats and bouquets will both come their way...they will get the mileage but they will have to surrender a bit of high ground when things go awry...
DeleteIts upto their ability how to manage the diffi situation. If BS was leaving and they couldn't have done anything to stop,letting go gracefully would have earned them the brownie points.
If they feel the show can't go on without BS, they should have looked to end it on a high note and focus on other ventures...
On the other hand, if they feel they still have a stronger narrative to push thru...they should just work it out and wait for the results...jo dikhtha woh bikhtha hain...
Ofc for die-hard BS and Sarun fans, it would be a huge setback...but life goes on...u may stop seeing the show or just watch it like any other show without getting too involved.
Personally, at one one point for me the ARHI story was paramount, but i don't know when SARUN took over ARHI so completely that i can't now imagine anyone playing ASR to San's Khushi...its as much abt San as it is about BS...maybe this was a detox mechanism divined for me...
However, it is not bigger than the disappointment that the actual story was never said the way it was meant to be(atleast this is my belief)...BS_SI would have done wonders if they stuck to their intended narrative...But even without that, they have told a beautiful love story.....well is it an epic love story?Truthfully, i can't answer it now....it is perhaps a shadow of an epic love story....
I remember how popular hiten tejwani and gauri pradhan were with kutumb..that when the show ended, they started a new love story with them as the leads.. :) it wasn't as popular as the first kutumb..but for fans of hiten-gauri, it was a treat.. :))

I wish there was a way to tell the PH - get a good PR manager and zip your mouths. DO not try to pay homage to all your online fans with your shoting schedules. We ud rather you pay attention to your shows.

Fans are crazy rrey!! everything ends and they will keep signing petitions to keep it going. But then if it has to end, it has to - And that is where I liked Sasural Genda Phool. They were in the midst of a good story, healthy TRPs, prime slot and decided to end it quietly, shot a promo to tell the audience they loved them and made a dignified exit. Fond last memories.
If it makes business sense, I am saying PH shd peg the last date, plan the story tracks, up the pace and ante - past, Shyam whatever; keep the audience onthe edge and then end it on a beautiful note - take a short term leap with Khushi and Arnav recalling memories sitting by that poolside and treat us to a 1 hour or 2 hour special of moments on their journey and end it with a smile and wink - hason muskuraayo kya pata kal ho na ho from Khushi and an Unbelievable from ASR..

Mishti has come to save the PH's ass. There will be a retraction soon( they do have an exit clause - they have said Barun has not signed ) and if SP says anything this exit clause will help them .
Having said this .. it is bad that they push Barun under the bus.. he said he was not leaving and now they say he may be -- so what credibility does it leave him with ? Poor guy!
I guess that SP has secured their golden geese for the moment either for IPK or for another show .. but anything is possible post Feb/MArch if Barun's film is a hit.
Sarun have a right to explore options beyond IPK but it would be good if there is a clean break for this... story wise ...I was thinking -- why not have another season.. let Barun finish his commitments and come? People will watch anyway .. don't we watch our other serials( english) this way? Or a jump with barun being separated or something ...... chhoodo.
The PH needs to clean up its PR machinery and communicate when it has to and learn to zip up when it doesn't . Hope it learns this fast... it has more shows in its kitty and this sort of frenzy is possible in any of them.

she was reporting on leave, promos and then she talks of resignations all of a sudden.....(which at best is a closed door activity!)

The disappointments are because it is a hindi daily soap aiming to run forever and ever (I stil lstick to launching a serial with fixed no of epis. if a hit come back again - like they are planning with NBT)

one of my favourite scenes in IPK..well there are so many....really.....
Arnav upset at Khushi's engagement announcement and further enraged at the scene of La and anji teasing her about her eagerness to speak with her fiance who has called on her cell..
Arnav retreats to his haven, the plant laden poolside, only this time vents out angrily at the plants...Khushi comes by and implores him to look at his actions drawing his ire more and he hurts himself with the sickle but draws back on Khushi's concern for him....The perfect enraged lover not wanting any scraps of attention..its all or nothing for him...
La walks in on these two and watch Arnav throughout the scene,acutely aware of Khushi's hesitation...his refusal to allow her to offer him solace....yet his faint softening on Khushi touch to nurse the wound....yet not mincing words to an innocent query to La...(surprisingly La says "ASR, tum kisi baat pe kabhi react nahin karte ho!! how not like the ASR that Khushi knows...absolutely reactive all the time!!) right up to the time of his clipped "congratulations, Khushi Kumari Gupta"
The nuances of that aggressive, possessive, arrogant lover (UJ, borrowing ur description of ASR) so perfectly played by Barun...those were some dreamy days.....

That scene is one of my all time favs too. Wih the latest happenings, I realized it was again a moment when ASR was literally hurting the flowers because of the thorn in his heart - Khushi being engaged.
And yes Khushi wanting to give solace, him being aware, looking at her with hooded eyes and then that dialogue to La, "Just because nazar nahi aata, iska matlab hai nahi" That was so meant for Khushi

And I am waiting to see more of that once Shyam is chucked out and starts targeting Khushi - DM Shiddat!!
