I wonder how many people groaned at the new MU ... today I will crown Payal and Khushi the world's biggest idiot do-gooders ... and the cv's ... arey baba, couldn't you get a better MU *head desk* *head desk* *head desk* Would one measly fancy dress show prize money make so much difference to some major 'aarthik samasya'? It's not as though this was an international fancy dress competition!!!
And Khushi is as big a hothead as her HH ... for heavens' sake, tell him the reason for saying no to the trophy ... he won't broadcast it to the world. Unnecessary fight ... x( ... to set up the next part, of course. I would be madder if Shyam's plans didn't always backfire ... will they do the same this time?
And Shyam is ecstatic at the opportunity his wife gives him ... Khushi is dismayed ...
When he started those slimy leers in the shop, and talking about how he loves his wife, I was rooting for Khushi to say Jeejaji ... she did! Yessss!!! And made it clear in front of the shopkeeper the relationship ...
Precap ... ufff!!!! Does Arnav see Khushi struggling or not???? Bloody hell, man, open your eyes!!! And see Shyam's expressions too ...
BD's for Sanaya and Akash today ... Sanaya, I understand, she just got back from holiday, but why Akash? Oh well ...

So the show actually had some performances apart from the Raizadas ... as fillers, presumably, from the use of BD's ...
Mamiji was good as she struggled to keep her act going with the dumbstruck Payal ... why did Payal have to stay so dumb? Couldn't she have playacted a goof up at least? Forgot, she's not as hazir dimaag as Khushi ...
Raizadas rush to comfort the fuming Mami ... Payal sweetie, did you think that after Salim Anarkali, the next best act was only you? Maybe you didn't watch the Heer Ranjha ... or maybe you forgot Khushi is taking part, and Khushi is always a nautanki winner ... so your losing the act didn't guarantee that Salim Anarkali win at all. Or did Anarkali ask all the other performers to lose also?
Very quick glimpse of Arnav comforting Payal ... so that mutual respect is kept intact ... Arnav and Akash trust Payal to have a reason for doing what she did ...but will they bother to ask her?
And the MC informs Khushi that she and Bitwa have won ... so now Khushi gets into the sacrificing mode :-S ... refuses the prize on as many grounds as she can think of - they shouldn't have participated, it was just acting, it was last minute, in a way it was cheating ... and she doesn't want the prize or the prize money, not with her husband ...
And Arnav overhears Khushi refusing the prize ... 'it was nothing much ... we were just acting ..'.
I think that's what got him mad ... just acting? He knows he laid out his heart to her there, and she calls it just acting?
And she didn't want to share it with her husband ...
He walks off in a huff ...

'How dare you refuse to take the prize with me?!' That big ego flaring again ... he did her a favour by taking part, he did it for his family, he wanted to win ... all the reasons he negated earlier, he now trots out to Khushi - and she doesn't believe a single one ... Besides, she's mad at him. And when Khushi is mad, she's nasty ... as nasty as she can be ... he refuses to tell her his reasons, well, what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander ... she won't tell him her reason also ... so he can stuff it! And she didn't want his ehsaan ... thank you very much! He didn't give her the credit for restoring his voice, she doesn't want to give him the credit for her win ...
Anjali wanders in as Khushi has minor wardrobe malfunction, then gets giddy ... and Khushi offers immediately to get her medicine ... Anjali calls her RS to escort Khushi ... task taken up with undisguised glee by RS ... Khushi desperately tries to refuse, but RS slimy moves and she has to agree ... and of course Anjali doesn't want to tell anyone about her chakkars ... especially Chotey ...
Khushi giving dagger looks at Shyam all the while, Shyam giving gloating leering ones back ... you're stuck, baby ... x(
So Salim and Anarkali win ... hope Anarkali devi will come to RM to confess and redeem Payal, if she doesn't do so herself ...
Anjali makes excuse to Arnav on phone ... Bitwa checking on Di and not on missing Biwi? Probably fuming mad still ... besides he knew he'd get nose bitten off if he tried to talk to Boiling Biwi ...

TQ, NQ and TF, one side of it has already exposed to Bitwa but will he accept it is question, TQ will not open up to clear the MU as she was the one who asked not to tell him. the only open end is Payal. Will she be the one to tell A everything even YAMU which is coming up? After the fallout btn NQ and MB did you notice A supported NQ by consoling her? so when the MB becomes the evil saasu ma will A be the supporter which will make NQ confind the truth.

DeleteThere was one article which said that after the HR show, Arnav's suspicions about TF's story will start ... I hope to God that spoiler is true, because from the last shot of the precap, it seemed that he COULD see that Khushi was struggling.
Will Payal at least open her mouth to tell Akash? He is beloved hubby, she trusts him -if for nothing else, to clear the MU with her precious sasuma, she should explain to Akash, he can explain to Mami and the family understand why the Gupta sisters were being so mahaan - I still call them idiots for doing that, though!
But you can bet, even if rest of the family hears and understands the reason, Bitwa will be left out of the loop and will continue to misunderstand Khushi, that she refused the prize because she didn't want to share it with her hubby. And after seeing the Shyam scene, coupled with their fight just before, I'm not holding my breath for the MU to clear any time soon!
Cv's, there is dragging and there is DRAGGINGGGGG ... IPL is starting, wake up!!! There has to be SOME progress!!!

Aarthi, i dont think there will be a face-off between A and TF.. and no hopes of k slapping TF... so the only reason for that scene seems to be a build up of anger in K, she is already seething with anger due to A's incomplete dialogues.. and now TF started taking opportunities.. maybe this is a build-up to her blurting out her feelings to ASR so that his tube light starts flickering....

But I thought of something. Kind of agree with Sama. NoNo I did not think of the timelines frankly. While writing yday's take, I mentioned "And the ArHi love story which came to a standstill on their wedding day, with the MU, will it begin again on Heer Ranjha's wedding day"
If you see yday's epi was a play to tell us the tumultuous journey so far that seems to have ended with the poison of MU. So it is from a MU that the story should continue / proceed.

SN: Are the stairs the new poolside / ArHi bermuda triangle? Recently lot of moments of theirs seem to be happening there. maybe snake's shadow on poolside has sullied its purity?

Geetu I am ok with either of them using their dimaag. I just want this MU over now it’s just been dragged!! And the whole amazing and beautiful Arhi scenes are losing its importance with this stretching of MU. Now they need to fight together and solve the TF problem.
ReplyDeleteme too Aarthi...even the rabba ve in the sbs segment doesnt hold any meaning after the precap.... i don't mind if ASR takes another 6 months to find out the truth, but i atleast want him to have an iota of doubt on the MU after noticing KKG's c n c for him....atleast show him as pondering over the matter with all the fb's of her care and concern.... start connecting the dots.... put other tracks in between just to keep it going... instead here they are planning to add more to the MU.. how will he trust her after more MU... or maybe they changed this track from the trust building one to MU increasing one after LM left the ship.....

I agree, Aaru...the MU has been dragged for TOOOOOO long now.. really, what it is with CVs loving to create these MUs?? Reminds me of the MJHT days and the number of stupid MUs that were created b/w mayank and nupur and we used to like literally scream out..WHY don't they let them speak?? kind of similar things happening here..only that the MU is not as childish as it used to be for MN ... and its really not possible for anybody on this earth to make ASR open his mouth to confess that he committed a mistake (or a sin if I can put it that way.. since I am soo biased towards khushi .. :P).. unless he himself wants to!
DeleteI am kind of liking the way K is treating him now.. not telling him the reason why she denied the prize with him.. and she was nailing by saying the right stuff to him "aapko kya farak padta hai?" and "nahi chahiye aapka ehsaan!" especially the second one...that must have been a huge one for his ego! Ek toh he went out of his way to help her and she doesn't even want to acknowledge that help.. serves him right! :P
I agree with Mads...I really like this take charge Khushi...And she's being absolutely ASRish with Arnav and her normal self with the rest of the family...

I was really disappointed after reading the review..I thought here's another boring epi after a nice one yest.. but then I watched the epi and I realised there is infact soo much to take away from! :)

Arnav gets a taste of his own medicine - khushi doing something what he percieves irrational and selfish and not even telling him the reason for it even after he's repeatedly asked her.. exactly what he did wrt their wedding.. only, hers is much more harmless.. I don't mind this act by khushi..serves arnav right, he should know what it feels like to be on the recieving end of such selfishness!
2. Payal-mamu MU - if they really want to show something about it, they better show that the bahu was lying abt the family being in trouble etc and somehow give mami her own credit..and all this should be done by Payal...only then will the trust be built..
3. Shyam trying to create another MU from the precap - for me, it looks more like a failed attempt.. I mean, what more can he create for Arnav that he doesn't already feel? He already believes that shyam and khushi still love each other even after the wedding...so his attempt her will only strengthen that belief..not add to another fresh MU.. however, infact, if..just IF Arnav uses his brains and eyes to see how much khushi is struggling to get away from shyam, then something might hit him.. also, if by chance anjali lets slip that she is ill, then Shyam trying to create an MU won't really help..
hmm.. I don't think the MU will be sorted until the next couple of weeks.. don't know what the CVs are thinking! I thought they would have wanted to bring in the peak of the MU and clear things up to raise the TRPs now that the IPL has started!
Anyway..as usual, wait and watch is the key to happiness.. :)

Winning and what not!! ehsaan and what not...plain and simple, can't accept that she refused to share the prize with him, weren't those his words initially...He just cannot accept that K does not want to be on stage with him to partake the award...Apna bitwa bhi na...itna gussa...after receiving the tongue lashing from biwi...Get used to it boy!! All this becos of "feeling hot hot and doing not not"
Yaar which fancy dress competition gives u 5 lac prize money..tell tell...anyways will ignore all this paraphernalia if the CVs lead us to the main equation..Liked A consoling Payal....if there is one another bond that i like in IPK story is this one....

ReplyDeleteAre these sisters for real (oopppss, they are not :D) - and really CVs 5 lacs for a piddly little neighborhood fancy dress comp - wow, must be some damned rich neighborhood!
However:
- totally identify with ODG's anger and her stance of not telling ODB!
- YUMA in the making for sure but if our ODB is stupid enough to suspect his wife coz of a measly handkerchief - he is worse than Othello and i wash my hands off him
- hope this is just a clog in the wheel that was finally moving towards clearing of MUs (perhaps, something on the lines of ODB getting so upset over something so little that he understands how much ODG wants to know the truth and ODG digs deeper into her original questions to ODB by saying, 'you cant bear to be in the dark over something so trivial but i am expected to stay quiet about the reason for our marriage!!' - (this is assuming that ODB finds out about the reason why ODG refused to take the award - and Payal better get moving - if she stays mum in front of ODB about this issue - she is dead meat!)
CV you seem to have attained an honors degree in building up the story to a point and then letting it go Phhhuuuss - please don't do it again..

First and foremost...ASR’s gray suit is my favourite out of all his suits so I was really glad to see him wearing it on one of the Narnia days in IPK...As always I have my priorities in order..;-)

My shiddat for ASR?...get a haircut!! I like it when his hair is in between. Clean shaven doesn’t work IMO so slight stubble please. Couple that with a well tailored navy blue suit, navy blue waist coat, beige shirt and a dark tie(shade of very dark blue) and then he can have no lines in the whole episode and whole focus will still be on him...guaranteed;-)
But Noooo they’ll put him in a black suit with a dark brown satin shirt- * Head bang* raised to infinity. (Whenever I see that brown shirt it puts me off the whole episode)

Why are they wearing such dressy suits at home? Khushi is wearing the same suit that she wore for her sisters mehndi as day wear.
What I would love for Khuhsi...Stick to chudidaars(cotton) and you get very very pretty printed cotton blend kurtis-get them nicely fitted..team that with chiffon dupatta (no gota for the daytime!) ...get rid of the tik tok pins once in a while and maybe a high ponytail/side ponytail/French braid/loose braid and please for heaven’s sake only make her wear MS and maybe cute coloured studs-they’re at home...she’s a young girl! Also effect of sari’s and suits will come more if she wears them when she goes out...
I know this won’t happen but I really hope it does...
SN 1: I dunno if this is HD’s fault but I think off late they’re doing more make up than necessary for the leads...they both have good skin- best served with a light layer of make-up...excess make up makes Baruns face look oily:-(...

Gargi- you speak my language - i so so agree - on all comments of wardrobe for both K&A - bored of the pinks and reds on her and the heer dress was hideous! (what was the cut in the kurta - to show some skin? cut was inappropriate - made her look like she had a paunch!)

and don't even mention the jewelry - get goosebumps just thinking of them - the only pieces of decent Jewelry are the ones (generally) worn by Anjali - the rest are just Yuk!
(but liked the heavy yet pretty piece ODG wore when she dressed up as a bride - that was ok )

Wormtail was an underhanded scumbag but he was shrewd. He only ever did anything after seeing his benefit. He was the kind of villain one might see in real life...
Voldemort-bless him- he really was a great villain- had almost as much integrity to be bad as Harry had to be heroic. But Wormtail- he was treacherous, conniving, selfish- he hedged his bets and you can take him lightly but ultimately he's the reason James and Lily Potter died.
Shyaam reminds me of him...he also refuses to give up his safety net- Mrs. Anjali Jha nee Raizada (Wormtail didn't give up marauder support until last moment) Yet wants what he wants- Mrs. KKGSR (Wormtail wanted power that voldy could provide) and is hedging his bets trying to get both...He has no qualms about killing his loved ones (wormtail didn't hesitate either)...He only acts when he won't get caught and has ascertained that he will benefit...Pettigrew was the ultimate double agent and so far Shyaam has also had no trouble in switching from loving husband and damaadji to leering tharki(excuse the profanity please.)

Thanks for a and b. And no I am not an English lit major. I have not even read Shakespeare except abridged(Mona also asked me once before). I just love languages, words, their meanings the context they provide. And music.
Initially I saw nothing in IPK except what I saw. Some scenes would strike a chord and I would wonder why the person acted or reacted in a way. There was some method in teh madness unlike other serials I have seen and that was nice. I would read some posts on IF and R&R and be awed. These days even I am surprised by some of the things I pick up :) I guess all the discussion on the characters how they would, should, could react and what they are feeling helps. I enjoy penning my thoughts and our discussion here inspire me to write well.
Honestly I would have given up on IPK eons ago if not for this blog and all our chats.
Work is ok. Been sick past 2 days so more on the blog. Its going to be crazy the next 2 days.

I am loyal CSK fan.....CSK lost the first match, i just checked on cricinfo...i don't get setmax here but teek hain...CSK are always slow starters....
Voltaire and all haa....IPK will make Ghalib, Byron, Voltaire out of many of us...Sometimes i think, let the Cvs just spread the word around, R&R will give so many scenarios...that they can make ten serials out of it...
PS. ODB is hoping mad at ODG coz she is not willing to share the stage with him - so he lies through his teeth - gives dialogues like 'ehsan' and what not -

The Heer Ranjha play spoke of the ArHi love story of ArHi. At the finale, Arnav speaks his heart to Khushi who is now sure that there is more to their relationship pre & post marriage than what is visible. Their love story which ground to a halt with that one MU on the terrace. With all the post marriage confrontations between Arnav and Khushi and Arnav’s monologue in the play, it needs to move on from that MU to the next stage.
A simple matter of helping someone in need is the root cause. Payal decides to forsake the competition and ends up breaking MB’s fragile trust in her. Aakash and Arnav are the only ones to offer her solace. Specially Arnav who has accepted her as a part of the family and as his lil bro’s wife the day the medicine fiasco happened at RM. Arnav and Payal have always shared a relationship of respect.
Khushi questions Payal’s actions. On learning of the award, Khushi decides to uphold Payal’s promise to this person by forsaking her own assured victory. Else Payal’s action would have been in vain.
Khushi refuses to accept the prize and sets about convincing the judges about her reasons. Unaware of Arnav’s presence, she speaks of how their act was nothing special and it was all a playact. On hearing her calling it all a naatak Arnav believes it all meant nothing to her though it meant so much to him. The jury is reluctant to revoke the award. So Khushi goes all out citing rules and how she should have defaulted and not been allowed to participate. Replacing her partner due to logistical issues would be cheating (dhoka). By extension she calls Arnav a dhokebaaz. (Cheater was the word but dhokebaaz has been used to bring into comparison their respective dhokas). To confirm her stance she says she does not want the prize and specifically not with her husband. Arnav’s anger has risen to crtitical levels now.
When Khushi was restrained as she turned to leave, for a second it seemed to be ASR but turns out it was Nani. Nani too wonders about Khushi’s reasons and is fed the same excuse of rules. Khushi hides Payal’s involvement and tells Nani she did what she considered right. But Nani is not convinced and she asks if Arnav is connected in some way to Khushi’s decision. Khushi assures Nani she is fine but Nani still has her doubts.
Nani has never condoned hiding a truth to save someone else however small or big the issue. Would Khushi’s lieto Nani today break the newly restored trust between them again?
Also Nani si going to watch over this couple like a hawk. HMC acts may have fooled Anji and MB but Nani is not going to be so easily fooled.

Wed = Apr 4th - Part 2
ReplyDeleteKhushi is next confronted by Arnav. The way he drags and throws he before him, blocks her & grabs her was a repeat of the scene in the green room where he broke her pearl dori. Then he was aggressive to being physically violent. Today that anger though present is much more restrained – more like Holi’s Khushi main bhang nahi peeta aura b tum chup rahogi. Then Khushi was in tears totally petrified. Today she is not scared and stands her ground before him. She sheds no tears this time round.
And they are talking again. But his ego has been hurt – Why did she refuse? How dare she refuse to accept the prize along with him. That part pinched him hard. He reminds her he wasn’t going to participate but once he has, he cannot lose. Khushi says she refused because she that is what she wanted and in return asks Arnav why the loss makes any difference to him when he did it only for Nani (aapko kya farak padta hai?). Arnav’s retorts – it was to win (prize or Khushi?). Khushi coolly tells his she does not think it necessary to give him a reason.
Arnav grabs holds of Khushi like ASR used to initially and says she HAS to tell him. And how dare she speak to him this way. Behave Khushi, else. But Khushi is in no pandering mood and asks Else what? Why did he stop? Her aggression surprises him and he is so stunned that he lets go of her. No tears in her eyes throughout the grab today. No sign of that Khushi who would melt before him and let him stomp over her.
Instead she walks over and pushes down a few clothes taunting him asking whether he will throw things as always? He can do whatever he wants to but she is not going to give him a reason. Final!
Today Khushi was the same tigress she used to be when she first met Arnav. She felt nothing for him then and did what she felt was right and only for herself. She is fed up of asking him to consider her feelings in his hurtful behavior over the past few days. (Aur humaari bhaavanaaon ka kya?). She is the Khushi who was livid at him when he questioned her engagement when he had calmly announced marriage to Lavanya after leading her to believe something else (the entire aapko kya fark padta hai track). She is fed up to trying to reason, explaining her action only for him to throw it in her face and not listen to her. So she chooses to just not give him any reason at all almost trying to tell him you are no one that important that I owe you an explanation. (a throwback to Arnav’s main tumhaare har sawaal ka jawaab dena jaroori nahi samajhta)
Frustrated by her silence, Arnav expresses surprise on how despite his “ehsaan” she is doing this unbelievable thing. Khushi tells himhe answered his own question on why she refused the prize. She did not want his “ehsaan”. She did not want to win on the basis of his so called help (I did not want to give you any credit).
Her samjhe aap was a mirror of Arnav’s Samjhi Tum. He might have punched her if he could but she does not rush back just falls back seeing him lean forward.
And at the end of the confrontation he pushes down a clothes hanger and stomps off frustrated with her. Usually it is her who is this annoyed with him after a confrontation. Even in the bedroom post the whole “chot” confrontation, it was Khushi who turns and stomps off while bumping into the door.
Khushi and Arnav seem to have swapped roles. She is aggressive today whereas he is more moderate. She has no patience for him whereas he is questioning her. She chooses not to answer while he speaks of what he has done for her (I think for the first time, he actually spoke of an action that he had done for someone else’s benefit. Usually, It would have been I don’t believe this, how can you say that to me. )
Wed - Apr 4th - Part 3
ReplyDeleteIn her anger as Khushi walks away, her dress gets stuck on another dress. Anji lands there and helps free her wondering why Khushi is here. Khushi ay have blurted it all out but right on cue, Anji has a dizzy spell (reminded me of the Payash wedding day when Arnav is telling her the truth but Anji had fainted and then his lips were sealed). Di’s health takes centre stage for Khushi who is all worked up like Arnav usually is in such conditions right down to Di app theek toh hain.
Just like Khushi in her concern for Arnav’s health she does not smother him like Anji, she does not criticize Anji for not watching after herself or being careless like Arnav usually does. Khushi simply asks what she needs and is set to get her a remedy. So like Arnav but still not like him (Hum kabhi aap jaise nahi ban skate Mr. rnav Singh Raizada kyunki humaare paas kuch hai jo aapke paas nahi hai – use dil kehte hain).
Not sure if Khushi’s dress getting stuck, Anji helping her undo the knot to free Khushi yet Khushi staying back has any relevance. Maybe when she realizes Arnav’s reason for marrying her, she may break all bonds with him but stay back fro the sake of Anji’s health (tough to see Khushi breaking a bond of marriage. Alternatively the 6 month period ends but she chooses to stay back)
Anjali again creates a situation allowing RS near Khushi (last time it was to drop her home, now it is for medicines). Anji is not well and she does not want Khushi to tell Arnav. Bad deal for Khushi given how paranoid he gets for Anji more so in present circumstances. Of course if this results in a yelling match of Arnav accusing Khushi and Anji telling him she sent them off together confusing Arnav some I am all for it. But let’s see what happens.
RS starts off with a concerned husband act for Anji’s sake but his lustful nature takes over in between. At the shop he is oozing care totally flirting with Khushi. She calmly reminds jijaaji that Di will be waiting. She is getting exasperated with his advanced too now. Already angry with Arnav, RS’s actions just make Khushi madder. She leaves behind her kerchief that the perv picks up. With the search for the file and his flirting RS is back to wanting his cake and eating it too.
Precap – Very Interesting. Another scene that Arnav sees. He only sees TF’s face and his lust. He will realize TF has not changed a bit. That cradle act was all hogwash. Of course the fact that he dares to ogle Arnav’s wife is going to make Arnav hit the roof. He cannot see Khushi’s face neither does he see her struggling. Will she again say something damning herself? After the terrace scene, Arnav confronted RS with a How could you do this to Di? This time will he confront Khushi with a How could you do this?
Khushi is already at the end of her tether and her run in with TF will do nothing for her mood. Will wiat to see how it all pans out given she has medicines for Di, her kerchief is with TF who knows a partial truth about ArHi marriage and TF’s raksha dhaaga is stuck on Arnav’s wardrobe.
Will Arnav believe what he sees again when he expressly Khushi not to do that a while ago? But Khushi is engaged in this war of wills now. With Arnav’s near confession she has some ammunition which will make her jump. So it will not be quite as before.. Plus like the fashion show MU and terrace MU, again Payal and Anji are also involved. What roles will they play here now?

When the first Shyam-Khushi happened, I knew a few more would come before Khushi gets galvanised into action - so then we got the tel-maalish, and now the medicine ... will it be three times lucky? Now will Khushi realize she needs to do something about Shyam? Besides, she's already at boiling point with Arnav ...
Future track depends on what exactly Arnav sees ... I am praying he sees that Khushi was struggling, otherwise it will be YAMU all over again ... and pointless! If Arnav starts thinking that TF's story is fishy, and Khushi now in turn is furious with him and turns away from him, we can have some progress - both try to start finding out the truth about each other, and working in tandem against Shyam ... not together yet, but parallel paths.

You know suddenly recalled ; When Arnav paid khushi's bauji's hospital bills, she had told him "Hum par koi ehsaan mat keejiye. Hum seh nahi paayenge". An orphan who for most of her life lived with the burden of other people doing ehsaan would never want to have anything to do with ehsaan or do any ehsaan either.
Translated ehsaan would mean a favour and favours always have strings attached / conditions. Ehsaan gives a sense of obligation and debt. It does not prvide a sense of having the rights to something.
Such a person would long for unconditional affection and a right to belong.

DeleteKhushi will realize she is in danger from Shyam and needs to do something about it. And this time she will not dismiss it as resolving itself either. She will proactively avoid him ausing him to keeep trying to entrap her. Somewhere something will give.
Arnav will definitely see some oddities. Qn is so will Payal and Nani?
As for YAMU, Arnav will thinking in spite of him opening his heart to her, she is only bothered about another. He will be hurt and not ready to listen. Total Mr. Grouch! Khushi is going to get further fed up with him. And in this really madder than a hatter mood when they land in the room, that thread is dangling there.
In the SBS Arnav actually is shown telling Khushi dammit to save a life. He also keeps telling her it is all for Di. Khushi has hr 2 and 2. She just needs to add it. It will be fun if Khushi tries telling Arnav, Listen to what I want to say and don't judge teh book by its cover without knowing the entire scenario and Arnav just steamrolls over her (remember how Khushi did it to him after the La breakup). Now that ArHi have swapped attitudes, if this happens it will be fun :))
At this point, Arnav has opened up his love while Khushi is hiding it. She will walk away from every reference and discussion with him that touches upon that topic.
I hope they don't take teh air out of Nani now.
And sorry for this but I do not want an ananrkali confession in RM either. Let payal tell Aakash and let him tell Arnav. And let Khushi refuse to discuss this with Arnav. let him wonder why she wants him to keep believeing what she knows he heard when the truth is something else. (Almost like Khushi post Diwali who wonders why arnav wants her to believe he cares 2 hoots for her when she knows the pool near kiss happened).
A near confession from Khushi to add to his confusion - bring it on I say!!

and bitiya wins.. so trying to convince the judges that she does not deserve to win (can I say I predicted this?) and borrows her husband's recent sentences... it was an act.. it was impromptu.. he was not the original participant on the roster...(EDITORS! GRRR.

Also Jaya talking about extra's bloopers...when they showed the scene of mami and Khushi and nani enjoying themselves to chikni chameli...the same extras are standing behind mami and payal as the ones on the 'other' side of the wings behind khushi and nani...
Did you see them recycle the teri meri backdrop? And the stars from their bedroom were hung up again in their performance.
And the MC was weird...couldn't talk very well...he got everyone to 'puts your hands together'
My favourite extra was the waiter at the RM coffee shop where Khushi and Arnav plot to get Payash together...

For me the little scenes and random one liners are so important...its what makes IPK special...
ReplyDeleteEven today...I loved that when Payal goofs up the whole family is consoling mami and Arnav goes and in his own ASR way comforts Payal. Even when she was on stage he was genuinely worried about her and mami- sweet for someone who think this all society wives type event.
It would be nice if they built up individual rapports slowly. Not everything has to be about Arhi and that’s why I’m glad Khushi didn’t see Arnav being nice to Payal.
Also loved how he walks off once Aakash takes over (flash back to one of my favourite FRIENDS scenes...Rachel is upset and crying in Chandlers arms and Ross comes and Chandler literally transfers her to Ross-adorable scene)
I loved Nani for the last 3 days...how slyly she takes the keys from Arnav who never suspects foul play from ‘his’ family...I like ASR and nani’s relationship. She’s firm with him, yet indulgent and loving too. The scene where she pulls his cheeks and he’s thoroughly exasperated was perfect grandmother –grandson equation.
Her name is Devyani Raizada-sounds regal:-)
Everyone’s reactions to mami and her despair...Nani comforting yet rolling her eyes...mama the quintessential –No dear you don’t look fat, No dear you look lovely, No dear even though you fell on stage you were very great- placating hubby. LMAO
Payal and Khushi are the biggest duffers ever... Khushi all right fine she has her own score to settle with ASR so no problem she made it about something else; but Payal is really blonde...she deserves all the monodrama angst she’s going to get. I feel this track would have been funnier if Payal and Mami had performed well and once Arhi back out Mami had won...would have taken their equation forward and funnier scenes ensued...
Honestly after the Arhi showdown I just have one thing to say...I think Khushi is imbibing his qualities through osmosis...the WT’s...the hot temper...the look at me when I talk to you...
Shyaam-pat on the back buddy!!...Good...chalo now finally villainwa has woken up...his evil tendencies were on sabbatical I think and now he has remembered that he’s the villain. I’m very glad to see him back. Hope he causes total mayhem and emotional turmoil in Arhi equation...I want a good villain!!!

So much was said about yesterday’s amazing episode I won’t add much...Just wanted to say
1.My favourite scene was when Arnav comes out and says Khushi I have no clue what to do...you lead...and how they show her telling him what to do even in between the performance.
2.My second favourite bit was Arnav and Nani’s interaction...Barun’s expressions-ten out of ten.
3.The tu hi mera mera song...it was really special...it was as good if not better than the Heer-Ranjha sequence...
‘umeeden seene mein le ke mai hoon jee raha...’ And pan to him holding her earring...
I loved Arnav’s backward glance and Khushi’s nervousness when he gives her the earring....
4.His ‘matlab?’ when she talks about the death scene and his aghast expression when he understands and considers the possibility of this...bahot farak padta hai...hamesha hamesha padega...
5.Khushi was almost all performance and Arnav all himself...I loved that he said ‘At the end it doesn’t matter...nothing really matters...who was right and who was wrong...what you did and what I countered with...’ that for me was the crux...he believes she’s really wronged him and his Di but deep down he’s also accepted that while he hates her he can’t live without her. Earlier he accepted that he loved her and then once he saw her treachery her couldn’t stand her...slowly he’s realized that he loves her in spite of her treachery and though he will never acknowledge this love to anyone else he’s accepted that he can’t function without her...

Deletethat earring thing... the symbolism .. he first gave her the earring, after sangeet.. put it in her hand... he gave her his love, but she did not know what to do.
next time, now, he offers it to her..and she accepts it and wears it..
third time, after the heer renjha show.. she is welcoming his love.. goes up to his hand.. and he reluctantly gives up the earring.. he's not ready to be frank.. and she takes it as another rejection and, following the conversation, throws away his love.. its the third time he has refused to voice the love that clearly speaks to her from his eyes..
khushi who can read his unvoiced expressions, is frustrated that he does not accept what his eyes clearly show.

ReplyDeletei completely agree with (who was it Aaru, Jaya.. one of you smart ladies!) who said that saying I love you is not enough - not for this couple - that is just a line and actually in their heart of hearts they already know it (tum janto ho main tumharey bina nahi reh sakta!) - its more than that - that's why their romantic moments are all about tenderness - as a couple they already have the passion (and the anger) - its this peace that they are looking for and this peace that they find in each other - away from the troubles of their past - their families - the burdens they carry to fix everything for their near and dear ones!
Dont want to prove i am not a robot again so - Gargi and to your point - yes a good villain is what we need and i completely agree that 'he who should not be named' was a worthy villain, infact Harry was plain lucky at times (specially at the end!) - it was the villain who carried the story!
Ladies and ladies ... hopefully you don't have to prove you're not robots any more ... if the changed settings work!
ReplyDeleteI love the HP allusions here ... agree, Shyam is more like Peter Pettigrew, but we need a Voldy to really carry the show forward. The problem with this PH is they don't want any strongly villainous characters - even in their last show, the villain reformed. As long as that doesn't happen here, let TF remain rodent-like or Reptilewa ... otherwise ArHi will not get any closer.

Nice article - sensible and balanced. better than the previous one. And made sense - I hope this goes to the cv's - Niharika does know Gul and Nissar - at least, she is on speaking terms with them. I hope their new show isn't taking all their attention - IPK is definitely slipping in terms of story and screenplay - it's shoddy!!! A few good episodes once in a while can't help - besides the good episodes are all heavily dependent on SaRun's acting and not the story as such ...
DeleteTake the Heer Ranjha act - beautifully written and scripted, agreed - but place it in context and where does it fit? Another semi-confession ... and then what? What's the point of giving us such beautiful episodes in isolation, unless they progress the story?
This is funny ... Just watching SGP and Suhana says people from other serials also came for the party - including Khushi and Arnav - and Rajni goes "Arnav aaya tha?" and promptly faints!!!
