EVERY instance in the last 3 months ... And then he should make it up to her....SLOWLY!! At least spend a few weeks on that ya!! You'll spent a month on KN for crying out loud!
Oh and another if they are going to show the big C then I want them to get properly married - in the same temple- doesn't matter if anyone else (psnditji) is there or not but Arnav should realise what it meant to just get married like that to Khushi and should properly get married ... This time with saat phere.... With a voice over of the vows while they walk around the fire...
Oh and another ( hey I'm making up for my lack of posts- plus I have a lot of hopes -still!! From this show)...if Khushi does get shot I want Arnav to go to DMs Mandir and say a really heartfelt honest prayer.
Gargi yes I want A to make it up to K SLOWLY!!!! Fulfill all her dreams and more. I want him to spoil her....

I am not sure if they got sidetracked.
To me it has been perfect story telling of how Khushi tries to extract the reason out of ASR in her various ‘pagla sa’ ways. Agreed, she called it 101 ways, but the point was not to just irritate ASR, she was trying out various methods to pry the truth out. She tried all the sensible ways at first, pleading with him, getting angry with him,putting her foot down and when all failed she tried irittating him. OTT hi sahi, she gave us a lot of light romantic moments. The story actually progressed a lot from holi, in the sense that the couple grew closer without even a kiss and I feel that has been the most beautiful thing about IPK.
The GH track was also much required because that is where ASR actually started thinking. He progressed from the grumpy businessman to the caring son- in –law and more importantly, he fell in love with her all over again. Or it might be more right to say that he realized he loved her still.
Each episode in GH was about how he started noticing things about her and tried to make up subconsciously. His love was expressed through the gol goppas, shared smile, sudden turn around after the wedding saheliyan convo and most significantly, the impact that K-G convo had on him. I’ve said this before too, I feel ASR spent a long time thinking that night and the goodness in Khushi was enough to erase the terrace scene. Him switching off the AC and holding hands was a really big step there,considering he was the guy who had banished her to poolside and the reason to allow her back into the room was mostly his di only.
The ASR of RM would not have tolerated the pre- suicide antics, but here he was patiently asking her “Tum theek ho?” and infact picking up that something was wrong.
The suicide terrace confesson and the highway confrontation and the dhaaga scene all were integral parts to this love story.
In fact, the only place I felt they got sidetracked was the kidnap, but the reason is clear. And I do grumble about the way they have stretched it, but the dreams and hut scene and tri- meri2 have been perfectly timed. And even these DDR scenes have been incorporated to lay the future track.
Hats off to the CVs because they’ve turned a huge disadvantage in to another golden opportunity to take the story the way they wanted.
And now I feel they’ve reached exactly the place they wanted the story to be. Arhi has realized their love and more than that they’ve realized the depth of the other person’s love for them. Khushi knows that ASR has always heard her dhadkan and ASR knows Khushi could always sense his inner most feelings.( Tum mujhe sun sakti ho? Hamesha se. Aap hamari dhadkan sun sakte ho? Hamesha se.)
DeleteArhi’s bond would not have been formed without the RM and GH tracks. And now the time is ripe to bring in Anjali, because now is the time to test that bond.
(I want to mention here that the Cvs made a huge mistake of not utilizing their cast by just concentrating on the love story. When IPK started, it was it was announced that the bulk of the serial will be on the shoulders of Sanaya andd Barun, but there was no point in ignoring the rest of the cast. If they couldn’t be allowed to bond with Khushi for sake of MU in future track, they should have been still allowed screen space with interactions amongst each other. They tried with babli and MM, but they failed because Arhi scenes took up all of the CV’s time and energy. )
I think we all understand the story from different povs and I am not saying that my pov is the right one. But I think it is very important to understand that the CVs are not clueless about the direction, we need to trust them with their vision. They are telling us a beautiful story, we have to be patient (sometimes immensely patient, I agree) to see the beauty in it.
And when you see the beauty in IPK, you really feel like you are under a spell.
Imagine if they had brought in Anjali right after holi, we would have none of these beautiful moments- hypo scene,HR scene, beauty and the beast, ASR losing his voice(remember hum sun sakte hain?) and the whole GH guldasta of beautiful romantic scenes.
Unfortunately, there are very few people who feel like me, therefore I was very happy to come across this post in IF.

I feel that phase of him hurting her more is over and now we will have to wait and see if the original MU has cleared. If ASR does not apologise in words, the first sign of that MU clearing would be RTR.
Again, my vague feeling is that RTR is not yet around the corner.
I don’t know if the next separation will occur only after MU clearing.
There are beautiful ways to take the story forward otherwise also. Lets be patient and in the meanwhile continue to weave our beautiful scenarios around them. Also keep our minds open to enjoy the beauty in IPK as the CVs envisioned it.
Su, loved your post.. now that you put it all together so logically, the almost 300 episodes that we have seen make sense in hindsight.
Deletethough i have to say that it is only the Main Storyline that has been followed.. the day-by-day screenplay has been so disjointed that most of the love scenes stand alone.. the continuity in the flow of the serial had been severely compromised..the situations looked so contrived and illogical that we can enjoy it only if someone highlights the love scene.. or dia writes a dreamy review.
at some times in 2012, the scenes jumped from romantic moments into serious WT moments with such speed that it gave the viewers whiplash. what i am saying is, the CVs know the story overview.. it is the episodes that need work..especially because they are giving us the story in daily bits of 20 minutes each.
and Su, i agree with your prediction.. and the IF article you quoted.
I have to agree with both Su and Jaya ... the cv's have a story all right, and they have followed it ... but they have definitely faltered in the execution of the scenes, and even the presentation ...
DeleteThe GH track would have been much better if they hadn't made Khushi into a klutz, who was trying to show down and publicly humiliate Arnav ... Indian audiences don't like that and that alienated quite a few viewers. They could have shown exactly the same effect but without Khushi doing things deliberately, and it would have worked equally well if not better.
The Suicide drama could have been handled much better ... instead of giving us bheja fry.
The cv's have to understand that the TRP audience, who likes a sober serious educated Sandhya worshipping her illiterate husband, is NOT going to accept Nayi Soch in the form of a woman making fun of her husband ... however well-deserved it might be. And TRP's still rule the channels ... so Khushi's character has to be well sketched out. ASR is unique to Indian telly and that's a huge reason why IPK worked so well, but Khushi has to be kept intact.
One of the reasons that TRP's stayed more or less stable even in Arnav's absence was because Khushi grew up and acted like Savitri fighting the God of Death himself to save her husband. Unfortunately or fortunately, this is what audiences want ... and I include myself in that audience too.
So the story is there ... the treatment and the scenes have faltered ... they have to concentrate on the presentation much more.
oh yes .... GH could have been a huge TRP gainer .... if they showed Arnav adjusting on his own not just with Buaji and Garima but also with their situation .... and Khushi despite her dislike and want to make arnav uncomfortable cannot help but admire her 6 months husband .... beautiful it would have been with the 'Sundhari aur Shaitaan' that started the week to GH track.

ReplyDeleteNew SBS ... can post as it has nothing new at all ... just the shooting of the hug which is for the promo only - it's not the actual scene.
This was clarified by Sanaya - she says - 'I shot an identical scene with Barun 15 days back, I was asking them why can't they use that for the promo ...' instead of bothering to shoot a new one, is what she meant :)
And both she and Barun said that he has been there on the show all the time, she said she's been shooting with him all along, it's you guys meaning the audience) who've not been seeing him ... Barun also said he's been there all the time ...
I guess he was actually absent only for those 11 days right at the start, the rest of the time he has been coming back regularly for all the ArHi scenes and fight scenes ... that must be what they were talking about.
Dia if BS has been shooting all this while we might soon get his side of the story from the airport. K is bound to ask him lots of questions around how did it happen (KN) why did he walk out of the airport blah blah blah and hopefully for once he will fully answer her questions and we will get the FBs while he is telling her his side of the story.

If they hadn't told us, we would have all imagined it to be part of the kidnapping track logistics....
My sense is once everything is on track, it is natural to say "par yeh sab hua kyun" "nothing has changed" stance..anyways....i am really not complaining....

Nani - be angry with khushi for lying how much ever u want, but please support her when anjali points her finger at khushi for plotting together with shyam and kidnapping her.. you have always, always believed in khushi and her true character even before she became a part of the family.. please keep that trust intact.

CVs - we have had ENOUGH of khushi shedding her tears and getting slaughtered mentally for something she has NOT done.. we have seen ENOUGH of how she has crossed every line to prove her innocence..especially to Arnav. Please dont make her struggle and the last 3-4 months of audience emotional turmoil futile by adding another MU b/w A and K.. give her her due..let her be happy FOR ONCE .. and enjoy the most special moments with the man she loves, before another storm overcomes her.
