Thanks, Aaru, I watched the SBS, but wanted to see the SBB ... both pretty similar :) Khushi and NK dancing to that song *ROFL* ... but I'm scared the days of Khushi's dancing with that gay abandon are over ... she has grown up too fast. Would be a pity - I'd love to see some happy days for a little while, where she regains her joyfulness and zest for life, with her Arnavji at her side, and goes mad again, while he just looks on indulgently at her ... hayyeeee ...

but from the spoilers that there is going to be a huge fight between Arnav and Shyam, I'm guessing we will have a fairly tame wrap up of the track with Khushi and NK rescuing Arnav, Shyam realising at the last minute that he has been duped by Khushi, rushing to the spot, and the fight happens there itself ...
Terrace tak nahin pahunchenge, if they want to keep it hidden from Di - IF they do. And if they don't, Di is gonna go into coma or hysterics and Shyam is quietly going to disappear, leaving ArHi to handle the family.

I saw your revised take on my 3 much scene. Arnav would have to be around for the full conversation this time. Take each blow as it comes.
I take both ur points of him saying "I hurt you so he would not hurt you" and "Arnav realizing Khushi saved Shyam only for his Di"
I want all the connections you mentioned to be made but it wil not make sense they are made in just that one moment. He needs to at that moment realize Khushi's words of how he only saw what he wanted to see. He was so insecure and not sure about his love and her trust that he believed the worst of her. From that time on, bit by painful bit, everything will come to him, his anger, his ego, his love for Di and how she always said she did it for Di and he will find his answer to "kis mitti ki bani hai yeh" and that will be his peetal ka bartan waala moment.
The reason I thought of her jumping off is simply because it cannot be only about Khushi getting shot to save Arnav but imagine if he sees her trying to end her life in front of his eyes and he is unable to do a thing - a man who claimed to have written his own destiny, to whom she means the world - to see her end her life an all because he could not trust her to begin with. What would it do to him.
Plus given both Arnav and Shyam's current state of mind either one wantedly shooting her seems a bit out of the question.
Of course if she lands in Arnav's arms from the terrace or whatever height - man that will be poetic justice - her reentering his life again just like she did on the first day!
Lets just see what we are doled out!
Ah, I like that last scenario ... her falling into his arms ... getting away from Shyam ... that will indeed be fll circle.
DeleteWhat I can't see right now is how Arnav is going to beg DM for Khushi's life ... not the Khushi getting hurt part, but I can't see him doing the Amitabh Bachhan type "khushi to tum bahut hoge" type scene. I really want him to end up begging to DM, though ... so I wonder if the cv's show it, how exactly they will do it. Sandy, you'd written a scenario for it on the last post ... I liked that.

DeleteSee even I thought of it and making an instant atheist of Arnav / ASR will kill it. It has to be shown as a tolerance for Khushi's faith and just a back of the mind thought that perhaps there are things he cannot control but he will still be the writer of his destiny - after all your life is naught but the options / choices you make.
Yes....I would prefer the writers to show the tolerance for Khushi's faith...not necessary to convert a non-believer to believer...that is more believable......but knowing Indian audience sensibility, they may show the leap of faith....who knows.....

ReplyDeleteThe whole point of the story she's selling Shyam is that she has been trying to win Bitwa's trust so that she can get his money and thus her badla ... her story has the advantage that she is telling mostly facts ... so stands much less chance of being caught out.
That's why I was delighted that she stayed stuck on the "I hate him doesn't mean I don't hate you too" part ... and she kept that attitude completely the first day (Friday), changed a bit drastically on Monday for the lawyer scene, but to my relief reverted back quickly after that ... and only showed signs of softening in two instances - when she let VLR put his hand on her shoulder for longer than usual, then reverted back to shaking it off with her usual disgust ... and then that last look back, when she first allowed her face to become a little soft.
That's why I said, it was a very well written and directed scene ... and very well acted ... you could see the points where Shyam was doubtful, Khushi picked it up and changed her stance immediately ... Abhaas and Sanaya both did stellar!!!
And I didn't want the promo scene, I wanted it to play that SHYAM tries to convince her to take his help ... and she 'reluctantly' agrees ... that made much more sense ... so glad that's the way it happened!!!
me thinking exactly the same thing...from Shyam's view - Khushi is trying to win Arnav's trust and then leave him totally broken...somewhat like Anjaam - there SRK was brought back to life by Madhuri so that she can herself kill him...

not from the beginning of the marriage.. shyam has seen that arshi had some lafda even before the havan.. but the way the wedding happened, he knew there was more.. and he found out from a drunk khushi.. but at that time, she made peace with the situation... it was only later that (in khushi's fabricated story) she feels that arnav ruined her life by not believing her innocence..which made khsushi plan revenge. (still does not mention the 6 month clause.. wow. the writers are Good!)

IPKKND is 277 episodes old. Same here .... My first serial of which I have not missed an episode(unless unavoidable) since I started watching it regularly since Jan .... Inbetween was a bad phase .... Even that did not put me off.

bravo, IPKKND team, in case you read this blog.. you have managed to weave magic into your show. yes, sometimes you are so sloppy thatI want to borrow a dandaa and hit you one, but then you start with the poetry .. One question about Shyam completely believing khushi in this Hate Arnav thing .. why hasn't he asked her about mami's involvement yet .. i mean -- when

Yep, even I was wondering about that one ... Shyam does know there were two women involved, so has he forgotten about Mami? Again Khushi could have a cover story ready, and say that she has fobbed off Mami with the news about Arnav's call or something ... but it is a loophole for sure. But again, Mami not knowing about Shyam is the escape route, just as NK's involvement is unknown to Shyam.

Thank you once again for the blog and the freedom to write.
My IPK viewing is strictly on my laptop at night after the household sleeps unless I am working late on a deadline when I just take a break to watch the epi. These days my family thinks I have gone bonkers with rushing to the lappy every so often and my hubby suspects something amiss with me giggling and laughing looking at the screen late at night :D
However, the music R&R has brought back into my life, I pass on to my child and she has taken to it with a passion. Most of the haayyee songs are on my playlist and we listen to them at random each night at kiddo's sleep time.
I have never ever watched a serial for so long and with so much interest and involvement. But R&R has been a huge part of this and without all of you I would never have lasted this long. Plus the story has so much potential and much more logic than any other serial on TV and that makes me keep coming back. And obviously teh delicious eye candy does help :D
And last but never the least, having found a gang here that takes it all with a pinch of salt, debates if they do not agree, shower praise if they like something, share my passion for songs, agree to disagree, collectively wish for ArHi, defines new vocabulary, dabbles in mythology and maths with fervour, dons the CID hat as nedded, weilds the dandaa at times, prays for each other's well-being, sends me huggs when I am unwell or low, celebrates good news has enriched my life and plastered a smile that remains even when the days are tough because I know I can always come home to the blog...

Well, I started watching IPK GH episode onwards with great interest and altho my frustration with tracks at times was there but the magic refused to die. I would read some comments here on days when i wished to rant and get converted back to a loyal follower immediately.
This is the ONLY TV serial that i watch now (keeping aside JJWS- a reality show) and the ONLY serial that i ever watched for this length of time. I used to make fun of people who used to watch serials for years together and wondered how do they keep up the interest.....now the shoe is on the other foot....i don't if i will ever be cured of this shoebite??
I always listen to music, have deep interest in it, not just film songs (mostly Hindi,occasionally Tamil, Marathi), i like sufi music, enjoy both carnatic and hindustani classical music, a tad more veering towards carnatic music tho..
somehow ARHI inspires me to dig for deeper meanings in the lyrics...now some thumris, that i listen to sound nicer than before,
its diffi tho for me express how....but i can relate completely to Sandy's remark about R&R bringing music into our lives. I always had it but somehow there is now new meaning
ARHI has a hero, warts and all(not literally) a fine looking acting ensemble, my favourite lead actress.....and A GREAT STORY.....unusual...the only story in a really long time, where the "kashish" has so many undercurrents (Sorry, i had to use that word becos its english meaning does not do justice to what i want to say)

The serial had some good actors but did not run long I think. Mum used to watch.

(no, see the whole scene.. will bring a smile to your face!)you will see the same face..
