Oh teri! Didn't even realise we had hit 200 comments already :) Here you go, girls, next post. Ready for the weekend discussions.
Just for fun - adding BG's Ulta decoding of Wednesday's episode
1. Aankh may kharabi: Our vision for the show is blurred.
2. Unhay vatavaran pasand nahin aaya - Barun missed IPK environment while shooting
for Mr.Right. (atleast that is what he is telling everyone on IPK SET)
Ulta decoding Thursday episode:
1.Nani - Chotay never does like this, when he says he will return on this day, he does.
MEANING - Barun extended his movie shoot from 11 days to 40 days.
2. Shyam - He got a bit busy, he wants to spread his business abroad, so got a bit busy.
Be patient he will come back besides khushi is talking to him.
MEANING - Barun is trying to break into Bollywood and balance both so is a bit busy,
pacifies the channel, ph and the audience, he will be back. The PH is also bugging him
to come back.
3. ASR - That is funny, I dont hear the sounds.
Meaning - I dont see the euphoria or the drool or gutter posts, on my retunr.
4. Kiddo KN - You dont think I can get another phone?
Meaning - You dont think we can get another ASR to barun(ph/channel or both)
5. Kiddo KN - The other guys are not here, I will manage.
Meaning - PH so what if Barun is missing, other actors are threatening to leave the show, we will manage somehow.
6. Kiddo kidnapper holds ASR at gunpoint.
Meaning - Channel points the TRP gun at SHow and PH.
7. Shyam asks Kiddo KN (KKN) to go to shopping and KKN asks why. Shyam says Shut up and just do as I say. KKN obliges.
Meaning - Channel wants Dabba veys, Dream sequence, Hut sequence etc. PH aka writers protest, Channel says Shut up and do as I say, story, character be damned. PH obliges.
8. ASR is about to throw the food away and stops seeing the bill and hopes to find his location.
Meaning - Audience is about to give up on the show but hangs in cos of spoilers, loyalty and sbs/sbb. And also hopes after barun comes back, we will get back the story.
9.Mami - Khushi convo
a. You lied about the phone call didn't you? He is not in big trouble is he?
Channel to PH or Audience to PH - You lied about having a grip on the story didn't you. You have no clue do you. The show might be under trp scanner.
b. You have to trust me. The moment I get any clue I will tell you. We cant tell anyone.
PH's reply - You guys have to trust us. It is our livelihood yada yada. The moment we find some semblance of sanity or a good plot-line, we will show it. Till then the audience or no one is supposed to know about the missing story or our uselessness.
Part II
Mami to self: It is so easy for you to say. I wont sit quietly.
Meaning - Channel to PH - We dont believe you, You have done your bit in messing up
the show and we will do our bit (take it either way).
ASR wasting time by not escaping and taking inventory of the hiding place.
MEANING -Writers restrcited by actors absence, tantrums, ph pressure, channel pressure,
audience pressure and not taking the sensible route by giving a good storyline even
now or scenes but sitting on their as**s and coming up with Bheja fry stuff.
ASR - Kuch Meetha chahiyay.
MEANING - Audience - We want something good pleeeeeeeeeej.
KKN - WT*, Kya musibat hai.
MEANING - PH thinking of audience - What nuisance, we are already under so much pressure and
these guys UFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!
ASR - I have to let khushi now the note was sent by me WHICH can be only understood
by her.
MEANING - PH Brainstorming session - Let us realease various track spoilers, s poiler pics on IF, FB
and pretend we didnt release it though the audience knows we DID.
NK - Khushi accessing mail of Shyam
MEANING - PH reading up on all the posts and FFs on FB, IF etc.
Payal - Bua convo.
MEANING - PH in desperation turnig to Channel and taking their suggested tracks and feebly protesting. Channel reassuring them it will work and audience will come flocking like the bhavras. PH still not convinced and asks hesitantly, are you sure. Channel flares up , how can you question us? PH hesitantly replies well your last track suggestions didnt work did they. Channel you didnt execute it right, it is all your fault. Trust us it will work.

Channel, now just sit back and relax. Hero has come, story will also come or people will be just content watching asr onscreen and TRP will automatically come. Just matter of time and you guys start shooting.

Meaning PH to Barun.
Oh you have come. No, I will be coming only after 2 more days. I dont know what has been happening on the show aka scotland deal. Anyway let us move the story forward. Get the papers aka story/script ready.
And Barun is horrified at what they have made of ASR. What has happened you guys. Tum Bhavra aka You are TRP. Barun is WT*, WHAT happened to you guys, what have you done to my character. PH asks why you didnt like our interpretation of how ASR has evolved?
Barun Oh teri, You know what stay away from me you guys, let me just hang in here till the movie finishes till then.........runs off temporarily.
You guys rework your script and I will see you tomorrow.

DeleteCheng they are not sabotaging the story... PH had to listen to Channel .... they interfered which leads to OTT drama prolongation and PH is paying the price now. As for the story isn't this how it was suppose to happen .... Isn't this what we wanted ..... Arnav Khushi confrontation .... only the two no third party involved .... they hear each other out ... that's exactly what happened .... And also that Arnav believes khushi after he has heard the truth out of khushi and just because khushi said it ... that's exactly what happened .... yes time has been a huge factor ... patience is wearing thin.
Here I will repeat what Dia said few days back ..... this track if much much better than the 6 weeks of OTT drama we had .... so much of loopholes there .... without any excuse they had ArHi for 15-18 mins out of 22
But this kidnapping track is at 5th week and END has already started .... it had really less loopholes compared to the previous track .... and that too when they had their hand tied .... on lead not available more than the weekends to shoot. They have done a fav job keeping audience speculating .... I remember during OTT drama all I used to do was wait for Dia Sandy Opti to make me feel better about the show I am hopelessly addicted to.

@rekha..yaar KKGSR saving ASR is necessary/compulsory for two reasons :
Delete1. BS absence from the show..and since this kidnapping track was initiated BECAUSE of his absense
2. SP's new funda of "rishta wohi..soch nayi" where they are potraying the female protagonists of EVERY freaking show much better than their respoective male protagonists
3. like u said, might be for RTR, but then it would be logical that after khushi 'saves' arnav, shyam tries to poison arnav's mind again and arnav believes him and during that time, K gets shot and arnav bitwa finally puts 2 and 2 together, thinking that if she had planned the kidnapping herself, then why will she get shot to save him? and also save him time and again? but ofcourse for KKGSR its too late to forgive him..thus begins the long RTR..
only problem in the last point is that anjali's character is again sidelined..so how will they keep daljeet happy? :S
Nahi re madsie not irritating .... It would have been much much better if we din't have the spoilers .... then all we would have thought about how things going in the serial.

And be consistent - one day he is shown beating up three goons singlehanded and the next day you show him not even trying to fight with one goon who loudly announced that he was alone. KN could have said the other goons are all on guard outside or something ... This was so stupid!

And full CREDIT to the writers, they probably had already written his escape scene and to their horror find out he wont be available for a week more and hence had to come up with this week stuff.
Keep in mind the track changes always invariably happen on wednesday.
So till 26TH I am going to keep quiet when it comes to the writers and Frankly Barun BETTER come back into ASR mode fast and I think he will, warna Dandaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Yes, true ... besides we heard that a Shyam Arnav fight has already been shot ... for promo or actual fight, I dont remember ... So if they're shooting another promo suddenly, it must be because of last minute track change. Which again may be because of delay in his return ...

I am guessing that as the TRPs did not go up, SP decided to spill water over the PH plans of the track and demanded more ArHi scenes because those idiots are misguided from SPA that its the ArHi jodi alone that attracts us all to IPK.

On an aside, I think BS is back but the team at large is mucking around what needs to be shown scene by scene thanks tono TRP rise.

Also I think part of the problem is that Barun has been coming back occasionally to shoot, but not often enough to give him any meaningful track, just enough to do some munh dikhayi for the fans. So every time he came, they just shot some random fight scene or rabba ve scene ... When I was writing up TWTW, I realized that his scenes had nothing to do with the story at all, except during the initial mami and Khushi tracing Arnav and actually seeing him part.
DeleteNot that this excuses the writers, they COULD have given him a better track and made him look less like Rapunzel, but I guess if they also were not sure when exactly he was going to be available to shoot those random scenes, they couldn't really build a proper track for his side of the story.
I still say they could have shown repeat shots of him sitting in a chair all tied up and showed some flashbacks to show the journey from airport to ILU though ... they cheated us out of those ... grrr ...

It totally cracked me up.. really, IPK's hypoglycemia/hyperglycemia confusion seems much better now.. :P u dont NEED to remove hair for the treatment of leukemia..and definitely not the hair on ur head!! u may have hair loss during the treatment.. if it was a brain tumour, then this was perfectly understandable.. as for the treatment u will need to remove hair so that it doesnt interfere with the surgery..
The whole Shyaam Khushi angle was a surprise and last week was rocking ..... ArHipathy no matter how illogical was loved much more compared to TM2 .... if we don't know .... we take things the way cvs want to show us .... not how we want to see things ... I mean that particular scene.

we have been talking about ASR not saving himself and that....but i wonder if its all for a purpose.....Personally, I have nothing against a KHushi saving her man...ASR's dimaag is taking a beating but hota hain pyaar main....Thats why they say falling in love not rising in love....*winks*
CVs can't be this silly in respect of managing ASR's character....If they have risked it to show a "brave" ASR to be saved by Kh....it has to be mean something.....(including the reasons Mads enumerates above)
1) BS's unavailability but again, they can always show him saving himself when he becomes available...so thats no the case
2)To let ASR know how his actions have caused turmoil in Khushi's life.
3) Most importantly, while we are all praising the trust gained thru ARHIPATHY....(kasidhe pad dale) but imagine at the crux point, he chooses to pretend MUing Khushi as a ploy to let Shyam tell all and then Khushi is shot....and her last memory is of an Arnav Muing her....and her trust is shattered....Are we heading towards that?

DeleteThe first interpretation - exactly what she said - she wanted her husband to rescue her, not his messenger.
Second interpretation - this had to happen for the war between Ram and Ravan to happen, for the ultimate destruction of Ravan, it was ordained this way.
Similarly, ASR could have escaped twice - once with Khushi the first time, but he chose to go back into captivity .... we speculated that it might be because he wants to find out the reason of his kidnapping and who the kidnapper is. Chalo, he didn't do diddly squat on that one, but this time, he didn't escape because the cvs have decided that Khushi has to rescue him and the Shyam Arnav Khushi showdown has to happen this way. Also I strongly think that while Arnav might PRETEND to MU Khushi to get Shyam to spill the beans, he will not actually MU her. the whole dialogue about 'vishwas par vishwas hai' goes for a toss if he actually does MU her, and the cvs won't do that.

But they had to extend it till next tuesday so expect the jet set go from Wednesday.

rekha-dia had a convo about how the first posts on the blog had more poetry and these days its more a whodunit.. and somehow, i feel that the discussion we have on the blog influences dia's review.. if we did not ask so many questions, these questions would not have figured on dia's mind as she watches the episode.... and hence i am indirectly responsible for dia's loss of the misty pink glasses.. and honestly, i feel sad and guilty about that.
the london office has no problem if the ASR who was supposed to reach there disappears without any communication for the next 2 weeks..

Su, loved your post to the shatir CVs. and seriously, something IS wrong with gukl khan's team.. they have tho (three?) shows running, and their writers are all over the place. their CVs have quit/changed, their photographers are stretched across serials, and i doubt if anyone of the CVs remember the original story.. we viewers can youtube old scenes at our leisure, but those people are working.. when will they even -want- to see old episodes of their WORK?? (really i hope they do, at least for the serial's sake)

seriously, the start of the serial had CLASS.. now, very sorry to say, but the only thing holding up the serial is the actors' chemistry and random "scenes".(and yes, those scenes do have magic.. but they are few and far between and ridiculously separate from the rest of the storyline.)

Regarding my posts ... Usually I try not to read any comments before I write my take ... The whole track has been a whodunit with very few really decent scenes ... So it's not your doing at all, Jaya! It's the way this track is going. Am sure once BS is back and the Arhi romance is back, we all will be back to happy land ... me included!

On that post, which i think Dia has not yet responded to, u may say all our discussions may be one reason but sincerely its not just that...I was strictly talking about the IPK graph itself...we may have pointed out bloopers (u more than any of us) but the earlier episodes were like poetry becos they were magical, one better than the other....
Then, we used to comment, whats' LQ doing and all that, we used to blame GH folks etc but frankly the episodes were magical for most part.
They really changed after the marriage epis becos of the frozen brains of ASR and OTT Khushi put together....Inspite of that, they gave us many episodes of brilliance as were proceeding on some logic....
With BS absence, we had this niggling doubts that tracks had been shortchanged, yet his absence let the story move forward. Tho forums and R&R boards were rife with theories
But now, we are running out of patience....all the logic that we kept suspended for our ARHI prem is threatening to explode.....Now we are the stage saying, yes let him save himself or let him be saved by his wife....can u see, we have made a lot of adjustments, letting some of initial romantic notions go out of the window
Well, I forgot my orginal point, as usual...i meant to say, Dia's posts have moved to that whodunit at times becos the poetry in the epsiode is lacking, but each time, the CVs have delivered a knock-out punch, the posts have reflected that magic and some more of her own.....
