Roller coaster of emotions ...too many BD's :(
So the best scene in the episode was the one in which both SaRun were actually present - the little fireflies scene ... the way she nods so trustingly and starts counting, and he looks at her with that love in his eyes ... and then the smiles at the sight of the firefly ... :)Wish they hadn't had the BD"s there ... they were too obvious!
I liked the scene in which Arnav asked Khushi - how did you know I wasn't in Scotland? and she tried to answer but couldn't ... the way he asked hesitatingly, the way she stumbled over replying ... very sweet, beautifully done ...
Maybe we'd seen the SBS/SBB too often, and there were no new scenes at all ... they'd shown almost everything ... but the romance still worked for me, especially on second watch. Especially the last bit when they were actually together and he tries to untie her dori ... but omg, bitwa, really??!!! With those thugs lurking around, you choose this time to get carried away by your hot biwi?! And found it very cute the way they both came back to earth with a start .. and not with too much of embarrassment, very like a real couple ... don't think they will have too much trouble taking up where they left off once this whole kidnapping stunt is over ... unless some other problems start in the interim ...
Knew Khushi would refuse to let him go alone to the kidnappers, should have guessed she wouldn't go peacefully off to sleep either ... anyway the goons arrived too quickly ... but OMG, the hit on the head was a shock! And it's going to haunt Arnav for a long time to come ... especially as Khushi knew exactly why he did it ... :(
Precap - So again Khushi can't tell the family about Arnav ... but she can tell Mami, and will Mami tell Nani and/or Akash? Or NK, since he's apparently back ...
Random thought - how is it that the Star Plus banner about the Hottest Pair Award always comes during an ArHi scene? As though telling us, we know who's the hottest, but still, guys ... :))

Amazing how much difference a re-watch makes! In my morning viewing, I loved the episode ...
Love ... a multifaceted word ... a mixture of passion, trust, understanding, looking out for each other, caring, reassuring ... switching roles between lover, parent, child ... it calls for patience, for trust ... a stripping of layers, unmasking the inner person, the fears, the doubts, the vulnerabilities ... an understanding which doesn't need words ... a happiness that comes from being with each other, a joy which comes from seeing a smile on the other's face ... words which flow without thinking, thoughts which flow without words ... and it calls sometimes for sacrifice and pain ...
So many facets of love in one single episode ...
It wasn't about the romance ... it was a whole lot more ... the building of unshakeable trust between Arnav and Khushi ... a much-needed trust and understanding, understanding of how far each is prepared to go for the other.
Understanding - see abandoned hut in the middle of nowhere, exchange looks, and run to it for shelter ...
Understanding - she says, it's so dark ... he knows she's scared of the dark, so he'll try to find some light ...
Vulnerable, scared, and not afraid to show it - no, don't go ... don't leave me ...
Reassurance - Khushi, count to ten and I'll be back ...
Trust - she obediently closes her eyes and counts ... a minute before she didn't want him to leave her even for a second, but she trusts his reassuring words ... he'll be back ...
The small smile on his face as she starts counting ... seeing that unquestioning trust she has in him ... trusting him to keep his word ...
And he goes to find something to banish the darkness ... is back as promised at the count of ten ... and gestures silently for her to open the little clay pot ...
And smiles again as he sees the smile break out on her face ...
Her pleasure in the simple things in life, the light of a firefly ...
His joy in the simple things in life ... seeing the smile on her face, knowing that he brought it there, not with expensive gifts or toys, but with the simplest things ...

They are married, yet not married ... the shadow of the MU still looms between them, although it's fading in the light of the love that's growing ... a shifting of boundaries, of the relationship ...
When he left her at the airport, the MU was at its peak ... when they talked on the phone, it had taken a back seat to the need for each other ... when they finally met again, nothing seemed so important as just being with each other again and everything else faded into the background ... but now the constraint comes back, yet with its edges softened, less harsh ... At the airport, she was trying desperately to reach out to him, and he threw her back ... now he reaches out in his turn ...
How did she know he was in trouble? Why did she come to find him? If she really is in love with someone else? Can she really be in love with someone else ...?
'You said you knew I wasn't in Scotland. How did you know?'

She doesn't really want him to say it again ... neither does she ... but he remembers ... she remembers ... what he said ... and they both know why it made her feel so ... he would never have said the words otherwise ... but he meant them ...
He watches the shadow again ... his wife, and yet not his wife ... he loves her ... but ... still so many buts ...
He turns down the light of the lamp to give her more privacy, to banish the shadow ... and then she draws the curtain away from between them ... and stands there ... his wife, pure in virginal white, with a hint of passion red ...
She backs ... did he mean the words? ... and as he doesn't let her go, she knows, yes, he did ...
On Diwali, he made the same moves, yet when he came to his senses, he backed away instantly ...
Now he doesn't back way ...
Then he was caught in the throes of unthinking passion, attraction ...
Now the passion, the attraction has a name ... love ...

Again, what I loved, the way they came back to their senses, no trace of embarrassment or guilt ... or any feeling of 'what were we doing?!'
Arnav checks out the windows, sees the number of goons is more than earlier, and tells her he'll go out, she should stay ... only to be countered fiercely ... she's not leaving him, or letting him do that ... neither can bear the other in trouble ... and he knows she's not going to give in on this one ...
We were wondering how he would persuade her to stay back and let him go ... turns out he didn't do much persuading, he used very crude means ... crude but effective ... but omg, he is going to hate himself for this one ... sacrifice, love and pain rolled into one ...
The sight of Arnav burying Khushi under stacks of hay was even more painful than the blow to the head ... felt as though he was laying out her 'arthi' with his own hands ... especially when he took one last look, kissed her forehead and covered her face ... :( (beautiful expressions by Barun there)
And the goons burst in ... nope, they weren't so sanskaari as to knock :)) ... Arnav puts them off about Khushi ... a few anxious moments as they look around and he tries to hide his fear that they will find her ... looking fearfully at her hiding place every now and then ... relief in his eyes when they conclude she ran away through the window ... one last look at her hidden form before he leaves with them quietly ...
And Khushi arouses in the morning with an aching head ... not surprising, being knocked out twice in 24 hours ... frantically looks for Arnav and realises what happened ... he's gone again ... she sees the little pot of fireflies, their little moment of togetherness ... he gave himself up to save her ...
Precap - Anjali is back to hysterics again ... so how will Khushi save Arnav this time?

is it that sanaya does not do "aroused" or was khushi actually afraid? she tried running when he was going to kiss her.. was it because she did not want to start anything? but then, she stilled when he caressed her back, and yet her expression was... pained? is she remembering that this marriage is only for 6 months? or was it just nervousness of a new bride?
@sama, i love the angst too.. but one scene i rewatch a lot is diwali. that heated look in the boy's eyes..the flightiness in the girls'..the jaadu he nasha he song in the hall... nothing can compare.
their wedding... in fact, those two minutes was the scene that hooked me to this show.
the apology after barsi.. hayee!
the i hate you too.. somehow did not click with me.. she was not his equal in that scene, i feel.. she was backed into a corner. more than at the wedding. her desparation lent a tinge to that scene for me. ugh.. makes me cry just thinking about it!

I was not a regular when Apology epi was aired ... I was going through all the epi in Jan when in an episode ... Arnav had a flashback of Khushis words .... "aaj bhi humein lagta hai ke woh taarein bangaye hain" as Anjali chats away about stars
DeleteThat flashback was so catchy .... I searched searched and searched till I found the episode .... I LOVED It !!! The build up and also the aftermath where both goes to their respective siblings .... I speaks openly and the other cryptic.
Damn this reminded again of how drastically sisters equation has changed after payash engagement followed by shyaam revelation ..... will there ever be a time where cvs will show Payal repenting her obvious negligence towards her sister .... will hard times with Akash make her think of how self absorbed she was in her own happiness?!
yes sama, the sisters track was really good.. wonder why they are not exploring that option as a filler track.. anjali is pregnant, payal is alone in the house.. they can bond over their siblings, right? would have been so much fun over the other tacky fillers we see..

loved the jugunoo thing ! and man got goose dumps when he puts hay on here and kisses her.. Something like not right.. am so sure now Khushi will be hurt almost life threatening . Loved how they built up to the feeling hot hot, as we thought Bitiya not at all ready for it.... hayeee..

DeleteI got really sad (after I got over the shock that he hit her) when he was putting hay over her exactly the way logs are placed for agni, she draped in white and then match box fell on it .... I am not much of a symbolic person but I guess in next round Khushi is going to be shot.
And that was some ASR style quick thinking &that is all we are getting for now .... he knows his wife .... she is not going to give in and just walk out without him .... so whack!! Loved the slight but tight hug he gave her before lying her down .... and that kiss on forehead if only it had a little glimpse of Khushi .... ufff MAGIC MAGIC MAGIC !!!!!!

Bitiya went ALL the way to RM in that torn dress!! Cvs you guys din't show anything properly .... neither the carrying nor the dori part (SBS and promo seriously had more).... what was the need of that saree?!?!

Regarding this anticipated C, CVs have maintained their reputation...the incomplete hug...the incomplete kiss...the incomplete confession...and now this incomplete C. It is this 'INCOMPLETENESS' that makes us craving for more...and maintains the intensity of the show.

Yeah Geet was another show which led to remote fight in our house..with others interested in watching 'Mr. Mrs Sharma allahabad wale' on SAB...and I had to be contented with the repeat telecasts.

If Rani Sahiba reacts this way when Khushi has only said,"Arnavji..."...what will happen when she know his Raja Sahib is a creep??? I'm not sure I'm gonna enjoy watching her histrionics.
One good thing out of showing this rescue romance before getting rekidnapped is tht Shyam doesnt have a clue tht the equation has changed soooo drastically between ODG & ODB in a day.As per his knowledge the last they met was at the airport and Khushi was sad as she cudnt convince Arnav as Shyam reached late. He is unaware of this new development...hence now when he tries to use the signed papers to create MU it might backfire as Arnav will not believe him this time ard even when he sees the papers with his own eyes.This time he will believe what his heart tells him and not what his eyes see. He migt play along aith Shyam tht he's angry at Khushi but will actually work with Khushi to expose him..:-) I hope this happens.
Hope tomm is a good epi in the sense tht they shoiw some FBs for Arnav in captivity which explains why he said ILU.

Was thrilled to see my hopes from the promo in the ArHi scene today and the Saiyaan song by Kailash Kher was very awww.
The last time she walked backwards to his forwards was in the bindi scene on Payal's wedding when Arnav told her he wanted to talk to her. They seem to hav picked up where they left off. In the past there was once he trapped her between his arms inorder to scare her for calling him character dheela. Today though he traps her between them because that is where she belongs - he knows it now and wants to tell her the same and she does not bristle with indignance at this closeness rather blushes and trembles with the nervousness of a bride experiencing the first intimate interactions with her husband.
Still concerned about the other the most and not hesitating to say it anymore. Wonder how Arnav must have felt covering up Khushi with that hay - did he recall his last farewell to his mother? Did he feel he would never see Khushi again? This one act was more powerful than the ILU for what better confession of your love and its depth than your absolute willingness to sacrifice your own self so your lover comes to no harm. At the guest house Arnav exposed Khushi to danger unknowlingly and rished to save her. Today his anger and unwillingness at the airport to hear her out has again brought her into harm's way though Khushi did not realize his true intenions. Today Arnav goes a step further and not only rescues her but repents his action by taking that harm unto himself and Khushi understands why he momentarily harmed her yet saved her in the longer run. She is getting a clearer and clearer picture of the man behind the mask, of what she means to him, of how much he cares for her and why he was so violent in his hate...(there was that morning after HR where she saw Arnav's caring nature for Anjali and thought how he cud hate her so much whne he could love others and wished he would be more affeionae to her - today she has seen not just the love and affections but the desire and passion he feels for her which has driven his anger fuelled by jealosuly at Khushi belonging to another. For she has now heard Arnav say and show her..
"Deh kahi bhi ho mera, jaan rakhi hai yaar mein"
God save VLR when Arnav realizes just how much he has hurt Khushi! Oh and BTW, in the fresh start in Khushi's life, it is Arnav who saves her izzat which is under danger due to his own actions (the fri scene where he jumps in to save her) so the cycle seems to have begun again but with a new hero

Her izzat ... I felt that he was so keen for her to leave also because he saw the KN misbehaving with her earlier - if they were locked up separately, he couldn't do anything to save her, so he had to make sure she left.
And Khushi understands why he did what he did ... like I said, on the way to finally understanding each others actions... because they are so bad with words!
Having said that, I LOVED the scene where he asks her how she knew he was in trouble, she replies 'your phone call' and he understands ... both their expressions were perfect there ... especially Barun's.
well, exactly why he decided to hide her.. bitwa already knows that KN has an eye on khushi, KN wont hesitate to touch her and more.. and ODB wont be able to protect her if she gets captured..

the change to the saree might have provided the justification for the scenes to follow , i still felt the change to saree itself was the weak link .........it is established bitwa has the hots for her.....why show these appendages?

ReplyDeleteLet me start with saying CV’s did use some logic with broken bangles and bitwa trying to justify why they can’t escape , but in doing so lost some few seconds of intense passion… arghhh dandaa CV’s why was there a rush ?? kaun si train choot rahi thi?? But then chaloo maaf kiya .. for that cliché but beautiful romantic moments… Sarun did take it to a different level.. if this was spinets to their actual Romantic rendezvous ,c ant wait for their actual “C”… Sama today’s episode was completely symbolic to what might be the track after kidnapping..
For me today’s episode was all about TRUST we have been wait to see.. this kidnapping let them know their unconditional love, the reunion their unconditional passion today it was unconditional trust … right from the start when he asks her to close her eyes and promises to come back within the count of 10 and when she starts, that was first step of unconditional trust, and he smiles at her knowing she trusts him unconditional and what does he returns with ? A fire fly or jugnoo .. Which lights up her face bringing a smile on her face.. She trusts him and he gets the light of happiness of their togetherness?
But then within do pal the jugnoo flies off taking away the light, which gets her attention to his wound and him to her torn dress, --- his repentance and her social stigma with contract?

arnav's POV has not been shown, at all. yet, we manage to see what happened in the seven (?) days of captivity.. he brings her fireflies, as a gift.. he cares for her fears.. he cares for her happiness . his love is shining out of his eyes.. and she sees it. not concern, not protectiveness, not lust.. but love.
that scene was fantastic, however illogical it was, carching three fireflies in 7 seconds.
It was one firefly on first watch - it changed to three on the repeat ;) I was like HUH????!!!! :D

When he told her his fears about her affair with Shyam, it acted like a catharsis - he passed on that pain to her, and after that he has never had fbs of that scene again - as though once she denied it and told him the truth, although he claimed not to believe her, but just hearing her say the words that she does NOT love Shyam, she hates him ... that was enough to banish his demons and his fears of losing her ...
And now saying the words 'I love you' have acted as another catalyst ... he didn't hear her reciprocate the words, but he heard her crying for him, and lo and behold, she landed up at the warehouse just for him ... another unlocking of the chains around his heart ... another building block in his hope that she loves him, she is there for him ... she belongs to HIM.
maybe the CVs decided that one firefly was not enough to explain the 80watt glow on the faces of the pair :D

The shadow of her changing again was so beautiful, that was not only for built-up to the passion and intensity… that dil vs dimaag war... Bitwa getting all restless, trying to divert his mind with his questions, when it becomes too much for him poor guy goes and dims the light. Bitwa was it so that you can’t see the shadows or was it already in anticipation of ahem????
He questions how she knew that he isn’t in Scotland, and she says the phone call and not saying what actually saying aloud what he said ILU, as Dia said “ she wouldn’t utter the ILU, thinking she will jinx it “ but then he understands-- it because she thinks it was just a SOS, like he lied he was fine … and not what he felt and wanted to say.. He almost fumbles to say he meant each word, but can’t express… He wants to tell her that he meant each word. As he being a man of action than words, wants to show he meant it. But Khushi is still unsure and doesn’t want her heart broken, so she moves away before he backs off, she wouldn’t be able to take a rejection again. But her going away highlights the alpha ego ASR back … “ when I am talking don’t walk away” (* MIG *Bitwa being all hot and bothered want sada haq, but bitwa Bitiya needs to be cherished and worshipped for that I am happy no Big C) …
Dam as usual they need to have KMH .. (wished at least they could have completed kiss) Bitwa going into ASR mode to manage the crisis… he knows that they can’t escape, he knows that the goons have surrounded them with guns and with trying to escape one would get hurt, and he can’t risk that, what’s the next option surrender? But is that an option with Khushi? No she can’t come along with him, and where ASR who goes all hyper with a small scratch on his Khushi? Hit her with a log?? That shocked me?? Why did he do this? How can he ??? Because ASR knows his Khushi in and out….. she will not leave him, she is stubborn and will go to any extend to be with him, he could convince her as before , but they don’t have time for that… So he does what he could --shut her up… he is sorry about hurting her but he has to.. Wondered how that sorry came so easily?.. But was that to divert khushi’s ? And he hits her … holds her tight so as she doesn’t hurt herself more.. as if it’s the last time he could do that, hug her , hurt her, protect her … the next scene just took my breath away.. he laying her on the hay.. Exactly the same place where few minutes back he laid her to let her know he loves her, to make her his ---forever …. And, now she lies lifeless, with just his only mission to save her !! He trusts her that she will understand why he did so, he hides her with hay – as if stacking the logs for the last rites, he just seals that trust with a kiss on forehead.. Almost like a farewell kiss, not her farewell but his, as if he isn’t sure if he will be able to see again… Dam I cried at this scene, I didn’t even notice the BD’s at first few watch. Are they again hinting that at some point because his judgment /decision Khushi is going to get majorly hurt almost battling between life and death. He leaves her not knowing if she will be alright….

1. So NK was to resume shooting around Holi
2. AK was suppose to take their relationship further after Holi ... no intoxication ... no force
3. Bitiya returned to Devi Maiyya on the day of Holi
4. Bitwa saw KJs advance biwi on the day of Holi, which bitiya effectively avoided
5. Bitwa comes to know fully about bitiyas feelings and vice versa though one remembered other had doubt (or in original story line, as we discussed here in R&R, she remembered but will not say it till he discloses) on the day of Holi
I know I know I sound like a broken record but no matter how positively I have taken everything dished out ... after Holi we were living on a track per week basis with almost no connection to previous events till GH track started.
Hence I go back connecting things to either 200th episode or Holi.
had a rewatch.. several, in fact.. and the bloopers are just haunting me!
ReplyDelete1. she cut her hand on that branch.. why arnav did not tend to her cut? in fact, where was the cut? her hands were cut-free today!
2.the kidnappers have xray vision, they see broken bangles on the jungle floor..
3. bitwa finds a pot , catches fireflies and brings it back to her within the count of five?
4. khushi tends to his wound.. and manages to wipe off half the paint.. and no one bothers to redraw it!!
5. ripped kurti.. how? ..okay, it ripped.. how did arnav know that the messed up bundle were clothes??
6. he draws a sari-curtain. (aww he looked so adorable, almost-18 in that scene)
7. he has a lamp now.. how did he light it?
8. he leans down to lower the flame.. and she opens the curtain. notice the hurricane lamp dancing to be included in the shot?
9.she is shy.. then why does she expose more? if i were, i would open the pallu and drape it around me.. her, bunches it more on her shoulder.. and acts all reluctant.. did not gel.(btw where did she get all those safetypins that glint in the light?)
10. the thugs break a branch to get them out of the haze.. and the lovers immediately jump into action.. he hits her on the head.. okay, illogical, but not a blooper.. the blooper was, the second bitwa covers the last of the hay and turns, the kidnappers are standing behind him.. and you mean to tell me they did not see him hiding something in the hay??

DeleteThe silhouette scene reminded me of some physics fundamentals...in order to have a shadow/ silhouette the source of light should be on the other side of object. Here it was the other way round...Perhaps ODG had a window behind her which was allowing the light to come through. :P
But whatever...it gave us such beautiful scene...Me HAPPY...this blooper forgranted.

The shadow thing was very noticeable - so much so that it confused me ... how can he see her shadow? Then i gave up and just went with the flow ;)
And she is shy, but willing *MIG alert* ... that's why from perfectly decent suit with slightly torn sleeve, she changes into see through sari with non-existent blouse ... jaanam samjha karo ;)
That one was the funniest, actually - they should have made her have wet clothes or something, this was no excuse at all! But Bitiya looked so beautiful, who cares! :D
Dia she looked gorgeous. If she had the pin couldnt she have pinned the torn sleeve or something.

Delete8. When Arnav is looking from the window for the KNs, Khushi's back(BD here) is visible with hair on her left shoulder..though when they show actual Khushi from the front .. she has all her hair on her right shoulder.
9. I agree Barun's BD is a fat and ugly man..

10. After all the day running running, Barun's baniyaan , hands and face are all dirty..but Khushi..she was fresh as a rose bud..her hands , face..all beautiful as always.
11. In the morning they showed Khushi running outside and reached a road..Why the hell they couldnt see the road during the night ..
yippeee...khushi back to devi maiyya...waiting for this to happen from so long... now we have 3 deviyan searching for bitwa... khushi-mami-devi maiyya...kidnappers ka kya hoga...:)

When I put thursday, Friday and Monday together(should have been together as a ME- would’ve been too hot to handle then!), I am tempted to see a change in Arnav’s attitude regarding the MU.
Really hoping the MU does not matter anymore, neither will any more lies and deception in the future.
The scene was beautiful, different from the SBS, but very sweet.

Yes, Barun really stood out today, right from the tired looks to the hopelessly vulnerable lover part.
BTW, no one missed that bleeding wound on bitiya’s right hand!

DeleteI remember the dialogue, but didn't notice the daylight ... I thought that when the guy climbed out of the window to check for Khushi, it was pitch dark outside though ... but I didn't see any daylight when they took Bitwa.

DeleteIt's much smarter ... the cut is better, and the sleeves are long. Only the brocade on the sides of the bodice is similar to the old style. I noticed the suit ... which means it's nice - I NEVER notice clothes!!! It is a little chamkili with the gota on the dupatta and the churidar, but then she's supposed to be a newly married bride, and now hubby dear loves her and will hopefully indulge her with some decent clothes ... once he's back from his stint with the kidnappers, that is.
