31/8- Epi 332 ... Yeh Jeevan Hai

Friday 31st August

Yeh jeevan hai, iss jeevan ka,
yehi hai yahi hai, yahi hai rang roop
Thode gham hain, thodi khushiyan,
yahi hai, yahi hai, yahi hai chaaon dhoop

Celebrations and joy on one side ... a couple bound by the ties of true love, getting ready to spend the rest of their lives together in the holy bond of matrimony ...

Betrayal and pain on the other side ... a couple bound only by deceit and greed, the bond of matrimony a sham, and a husband whose duty is to love and protect his wife, is the one who hurts her the most, and is the killer of his own child.

Loved the Mehndi Laga ke Rakhna ... was so annoyed at the interruptions by Poojali and VLR that I made an uncut almost immediately after finishing the episode ... :(
Loved Nani's dance with Akash-NK, loved the Khushi-NK dance, loved the jugalbandi of Mami and Buaji, loved the little touches of Khushi teasing Payal when Akash was dancing, Nani dragging Khushi to Arnav ... and of course the Arhi parts ...

Need to think of a better name for VLR ... Evil personified ... gloats as he watches his plans come to fruition, and kill his own unborn child ... Evil personified ... today sunk to lower depths than ever before ...

I did feel sorry for Anjali ... but only when I wasn't feeling totally impatient and exasperated at her utter stupidity ... does she own just one pair of slippers that when she went to her room, cut her feet on glass, she could not take the time to find another pair and wear them immediately?! The FIRST thing any reasonably sensible sane person would do when they found pieces of broken glass lying around ... wear shoes!!!! And to add to it, she starts walking around with bits of glass stuck to her foot and tries to take it off while standing and walking ... heavens, woman, sit down and take the pieces out ... use your brains!!!! Or don't you have any at all?!!!! No wonder she fell down ... even if VLR Evilwa hadn't booby-trapped the stairs, she would probably have tripped over her own feet or the ten yards dupatta she was wearing or from the weight of the kilos of fake jewelry ... the woman is that stupid!!!

So she lost the baby ... can't say I'm surprised. It was going to happen ... there is no place for a baby on this show. And in a way it's good the connection to Shyam is completely finished now ... maybe she can finally get on with her life and forget the Creepwa. The only reason Arnav spared Shyam at all was because Anjali was pregnant ... now that the baby is gone, there is no reason to be soft on Shyam at all. No stigma about fatherless child to worry about either, when there is no child ...
Don't quite understand how Shyam thinks this is his ticket into RM, I would have thought he just cut his last remaining link pretty comprehensively! Unless of course Anjali loses her mental balance and her short term memory and the doctors say it would be good to call Shyam back till she recovers it ... or Shyam tells her to playact accordingly ... don't put it past him to do so ... and don't put it past Anjali's stupidity to agree ... the woman is seriously that brainless.

Did I say I'm feeling sorry for her? I don't think I am ... not very much :) I was always expecting the loss of this baby, besides I think the nobility of bringing up a child alone is over-rated ... a child needs two parents, and moreover, two parents who love and respect each other ... imagine a child growing up with Anjali's complexes of being unwanted and unloved by its own father, and its father being hated by the rest of the family. SGP had done this beautifully ... the Radha Bua-Deepak track, of how RB hated and shunned her own child for so many years because she was raped by his father.

What will happen to the Arhi remarriage now? Will the cv's really postpone it yet again?! That will kill the show! :(
My SKD (Sapnon Ki Duniya) ... Arnav wants to stay at the hospital with Anjali, doctor says a woman should stay, he wants Khushi to stay with him, or even better, Khushi refuses to leave him alone ... Dadi throws another tantrum about not being married yet, and so he takes Khushi, Nani and Buaji to the temple, calls Garima and Shashi there and they go through the pheras quietly ... also realising that they have done the haldi rasam already too ... since they have been slowly realising that they have actually completed all the shaadi ka rasams, let that be put to some good use. With Anjali's loss, SR is indefinitely postponed ... so that purpose is achieved.

  1. Story taking macabre turn ....too morbid for my taste......maybe i spoke of my love for IPK story being intact a few hours too soon....

today's epi is not something i can bear to even watch once....just could not focus on ARHI scenes for the first time ever....

    1. Read the LU ... am not too disturbed, maybe watching onscreen will be worse, but I always knew there would be no baby. This PH can't handle kids, and you can't have an intense love story with kids hanging around.
What I DON'T want is Arnav blaming himself for the miscarriage and postponing the marriage ... I want him and Khushi to quietly take the pheras in private with just Nani and Buaji. Don't want their marriage getting postponed now ... Khushi has to be with him in his grief.
How does Anjali's miscarriage tie in with their past? Or does it not?

Will be back in evening with update.

    2. Dia: Hugs bey, hope you are good. Ditto to what you said. PH cannot handle kids neither can DB or the rest of the cast.

      It was expected.

Wedding will be a low key affair. The question is will it happen with Garima and Dadi dhamaka yet to happen?

    3. It was not about what is on screen....its about what the villain sought to achieve...a man who can get his unborn harmed.....have to know his real motive to make a connection with what is being said.....its too disjointed....now the khushi angle to Shyam is a mere whisper;to me today Shyam never cared for anyone, including Khushi...so i want to know what is his motive....

    4. hello to all the wonderful ladies here...all ur thoughts improve the episode a lot always...i am a bit put off after todays sad episode so taking up this space to write my thoughts...actually to cool myself a bit...
as Dia wrote above miscarriage was expected all along but before Arshi marriage..??now what-will they proceed with the wedding or not...they might but it will be a low key affair(copying ur words shwetha)... but that means only phere with few family members... other 'rasams' left out again...??specially haldi...DD mentioning haldi from the first day and now just forget it...again incomplete marriage...??

and ah...my heart cried for ASR...just yesterday he was asking nani 'am i doing something wrong by moving on with life...trying to forget the past...trying to be happy...'today he got the wrong answer due to his stupid di and DD - how can ASR be happy....forget love and happiness and retreats to your shell.... :(

    5. I thought Shyam's motive was to return to RM and ofcourse prevent the marriage. This is his way of taking revenge. I don't think Anjali will be brave enough to let his brother go ahead with his happiness. Also, ASR will not be able to marry when his Di's world is shattered yet again. Shyam will definitely poison Dadi's mind and use her to get back into RM.

Unless the CVs can surprise us.

  2. someone just kill me .... Why oh why you he to do this CV's ?? ruin my ARHI moments .... pls that Hug was almost like final...
one word from DD that its khushi kadam bringing bad omen to house .. and ASR leaving Khushi is the last thing I want...

Dam even after this I really still cant connect or feel for Anjali...

  3. Oh I FELT so bad for Anjali. DB..You were good yesterday and you succeeded in making me feel very bad for Anjali, despite the fact that it was being portrayed by you.

Now I get it why you agreed to a baby bump. For a GB and a miscarriage there had to be a bloody bump (excuse the language).

Anyway You came good as an actress today, guess that is what should concern me anyway.

  4. Shweths...

Today, dunno why i found miles between Arnav and Khushi....almost as if it was Sheesh mahal day again..just that Arnav does not respond to anything around him unlike that day when he was breathing fire when she fell in to his arms....is the death of my beloved love story?

    1. I believe the love story will get stronger from now on.

Or should I say test of their love story..

See both have their it is my fault complex, I am more responsible thingy the question is who will help the other out.

I am actually looking forward to the track cos it brings Shyam vs Arnav that we wanted always.

Also remembers the day Anjali finds out it was Shyam who was responsible, You never mess with a mother.

    2. I Don't rekhs... that hug at end of the dance and the aloofness at the end at the episode did show that ruthless ASR would be back...

I just don't want him to blame Khushi.. which is most like not by himself but like what Mami and DD will say.
I really don't know what is it going to happen now... its all DI KI (bloody) Saut sorry lang.. now..
why did they ever have to promote it as a love story.. I really wish the TRP drops for the next week... eks sadist in me is back ...

    3. I understand what u say about "u never mess with a mother" but to me she still remains a very hollow person who could only awaken to smell treachery when her own blood (her tanvi/tanay) was harmed....what about all those around u who have lived for u every moment of their lives...her chotte, who can't look beyond u ever....

My expectations about this story was an Arnav_Khushi helping a damaged Anji not a resurgent Anji deciding to become a Durga so that Arnav_khushi can live/love in peace... I see no grace in this Durga....sorry

      sorry, my biggest rant ever......

    1. Rekha, i see Nani suggesting marriage to get Anji's mind off miscarriage (she'll be too broken na) and a low key wedding which wont help anji much, n then dd insisting on getting damadji back....

    2. If Anji is difficult to handle, logically you bring a psychiatrist in , not someone who tried to murder you - if ASR lets that happen - I can say goodbye to any semblance of a Dimaag - let alone Shatir dimaag...

      Sri

      Delete
    3. Sri, logic is rarely used in daily soaps, we can expect a little from IPK but not much.... if they want to show logic they can show ASR getting a psychiatrist but Anji still not responding and Dadi insisting for Shyam....and Nani agreeing reluctantly

me dont keep much hopes for logic...when ASR forgot all his interactions with Khushi after the terrace hug, these things are still minor in comparison :)

i dont see anyway where anyone (read mami, dd or arnav) blaming khushi for this...khushi will blame herself cause she a distraught anji going upstairs and dint stop her....

what i felt was, it will easier to piece in the puzzle now, for ASR cause :
      1. He had doubts that the drummer looked familiar
      2. khushi saw a distraught anjali going upstair
      3. arnav noticed anji was scared and looking at the door after the power cut
      4. they will defo find blood stains in anjali's room
      5. also the glass shards
      6. asr noticed some electrician near the stairs who vanished suspiciously

    3. Geetu: I hope so too*hugs bey*

The person who will feel the guilt today was ASR that he could not protect his di and the baby. He was too much in shock and did he hold her hand back, wasnt sure.

Either way he won't let her go so easily. Khushi is the only one who has brought him peace and happiness.

      Delete
    4. Shwetha *hugs back*

he will feel guilty cause he was so lost in Khushi that dint pay attention to Di's safety (his thoughts ofc) and if tht peetal bartan moment happens, khushi is the only one who will find him...he did hold it later.....
shymbolism was there i guess, that he will hold himself back, blaming himself for the mishap (same thought bt being too lost in Khushi) but khushi will be there, relentlessly being by his side and finally he will have to let her in

    5. Geetanjali,
Sure there are all the clues - unfortunately this family does not seem to talk or compare notes when it comes to Shyam..
And most likely shyam has removed all evidence by the time they come back from the hospital...

I for one will be furious if bitwa does a repeat of the 'I wish I had never met you' with Khushi cos Di is in trouble..

      Sri

      Delete
    6. Logically speaking, i don't see how Arnav can blame himself for the accident, and he would be as bad as Khushi if he did :))) ... Delusional Di told him she wanted to sit down for a while ... how was he to know she would go wandering all over RM? Besides, even if she wanted to go for a stroll, it's her house (technically her brother's but whatever;) ) ... she can take a walk without asking permission or telling anyone.

What I DO want to happen ... Arnav, Khushi putting two and two together .. Khushi saw her going up, Arnav saw she was perspiring after the lights out so both realise she was disturbed ... and maybe Dadi getting a brainwave that Shyam was in the house, because he had promised he would be there, Anjali was trying to meet Shyam and that's why she was creeping about upstairs when everyone was downstairs. And I want Dadi to confess this to everyone ... maybe in the guise of saying see, I told you to call him, if he had been allowed to be here, this wouldn't have happened ...
Also I want them all to see the blood and glass, and at least START wondering what happened ... and why Anjali went upstairs at all ...

But unfortunately, like Sri says, this family doesn't seem to talk at all ... even Mami and Nani know Anjali was getting mysterious phone calls, but they haven't told anyone, Khushi hasn't told Arnav about Anjali talking to walls, Arnav hasn't told Khushi about Anjali talking to the pool ... *head desk*

Sri, hi ... welcome ... are you new here? Seen you posting recently ... :))) Are you Savvy from IF by any chance :)))

  7. Rekhs: You know na the redux theory, he is doing it for his sister...revenge as Mallik Senior had an affair and dumped her. I would want to see that angle explored.

As that would make the contrast between the two brothers who married for their sisters, one got Khushi one got Anjali.

    1. Shweths...sorry am not a big fan of that doods theory becos....to me then Khushi does not figure as a factor in the past...having a ring side view of the past is not the same as being linked to the past...Try as i might, i haven't been able to reconcile to the khushi angle in doods theory tho after today, i am very sure her theory is playing out for sure

It was always promoted that Khushi was an important link in Arnav's past...by making Shyam the main link to the past, i am sure the orginal story has undergone change....i don't know the PH's compulsions for making this happen...i am sure they must have their reasons but I for one can't buy it for now.....

anyways...as they have said dekhna hain to dekho....

      Delete
    2. Rekhs, I would rather Khushi had no play in his mom's suicide. Already it is a fragile relation hai but the theory also is that Arnav's dad or chacha was responsible for the car accident that killed khushi's parents, so god knows what they are upto.

Dekh yaar I Just want this thing to be simple.

Arnav and Khushi get married. Shyam comes into be ing. He is just a psycho that is all. He tries to create rift in the family and Arhi ...Arnav protects Khushi.

And together they oust Shyam from their life.

Simple. this way the love story is intact, this is what I feel now, kal ka pata nahin.

    3. Just quickly popped in to say ... I don't believe in that Shyam's sister theory either, for the reason that it gives Shyam a good motive to take revenge, i.e it justifies him to an extent ... which I cannot tolerate ... a murderer and now someone who got rid of his own child can never be justified in anything, not even taking revenge for his sister.

And I want Arhi to get married NOW!!!!

Rant over ... will be missing most of the weekend, but will pop in briefly when I can to update ... still haven't watched the episode!

    4. Congratulations Shwetha...ur shiddat of more footage for Akash got realised today...they not only gave him more screen time, he also got to shake a leg or two (and was good at it too :))...mind u, still not as good as NK and NK+Khushi jodi on the dance floor rocks!!!

Glad they got rid of Snakewa's child...now it can only mean that they will look to introduce a new mate for Anjali, once she has accepted that this one's a creep....

Fingers crossed that the wedding does take place AND looking forward to an ASR vs Shyam face off in the not too distant future (assuming that the shatir dimagh makes an appearance)...My problem with Dood's theory has always been the undue importance given to Shyam....Given the way this PH is presenting its story as 360 turns, my guess is that Shyam is reprising the role of an opportunistic villain who WAS ALSO the catalyst in the Malik fiasco that took place 14 years ago....now whether Khushi's parents died 14/15 years ago or 10/11 years ago and how it ties in with the Malik/Raizadas, remains to be seen.

    5. Dia, I am interested in Shyam's sister only if it is played by Chandana sharma aka Damini, warna no thank you.

I just want him to be a psycho who married her for money and
      power.

I want him to create problems for khushi so arnav can beat him up black and blue and bua can feed him pineapple juice.

      I want romance back.

Garima truth can be, she once insulted Dadi that is all. Phussss.

Give me my love story back.

    6. Aki: Congratulations accepted proudly,lol.

      Delete
    7. Dia, me thinks they got the Shyam sister story too un-link khushi's mom from mallik senior's past, cause that wud become incestuous..... as it is people dint like shyam eyeing his BIL wife, so they dint want to take more chances with the past and also link Shyam in a way, give him a motive..... and i dont think this motive justifies him.... maybe his sister doesnt know anything bt what he is doing, so he is just out to take revenge...and crosses all limit...ofcourse this is just an assumption...

but if they do link him to arnav-anji's past then there are too many loopholes : for eg, his mission is to avenge his sister....that means he accepts what happened with his sister was wrong, then that same person wont
ogle at khushi like a leech,
he, who fell in love with this girl, wont leech after her like that in front of his wife
he wont be hell-bent on marrying her and jeopardizing his mission

dont know where they are taking this story...

      Delete
    8. oh i agree TF will be the psycho who married a simple inferiority complex ridden girl for the money - but today i felt there could be more to it than that - it could still be KKG only (as in no other link to the past - but something is defiantly there!) - oh an d i too don't want a sister/mother revenge angle - that's so cliche and kind of robs the fun of having a villainous villain - he starts developing a 'good side' to him - a skewed hi sahi but sense of family pride etc - nah i just want our villain to be after money and KKG - the two basic reasons that tuirn a normal man into a psychotic killer - muuuaaahhh!

oh and don't worry - we will get the love affair back - see with everything running smoothly - there is no story - everyone is happy - enjoying a perfect life - how boring - for the magic to come back, we have to hit low (not rock bottom any more but still go down the a few degrees)

"Shyam is reprising the role of an opportunistic villain who WAS ALSO the catalyst in the Malik fiasco that took place 14 years ago"

Chachaji surfaces again like Dia was hoping in the kidnap track ?

      Sri

      Delete
    10. Sri: I seriously hope so....Chachaji's intro was an amazing scene and our first glimpse of remnants from the past....I hope they don't lose that one.......there are spoilers going around about Garima's supposed role, but it still sounds fairly flimsyish...am looking for something more meaty and Chachaji would fit in quite beautifully here...

    11. Aki,
was watching some of the old episodes and something struck me - Nani's dialogues on Pyar being destructive - how it destroys relationsships and even people - and made me think if Garima is the other woman - it is unlikely that it was an illicit affair...
more of a pining for Garima...and Chachaji creating a series of events to destruction- maybe bringing it in an ugly fashion in Anji's wedding that causes the mom to kill herself/or is murdered as speculated here earlier..

  8. Allright everyone:

    Putting things in perspective:

Shyam will be back, Arnav vs Shyam

Dogra danced today and he is much better than Barun....ofcourse nowhere close to Karan, but I am happy.

See now Akash bitwa is better on two accounts, he has progressed to where Arnav is only dreaming and he can atleast dance..least being the operative word compared to the zilch being able to dance.

    Barun got a hairtrim.

    Bua MAMI dance was cute.

Deepali cannot dance either, she looked radiant.

    Nani rocked the floor.

A great hug happened, wish there was an uncut minus Anjali.

If anjali is going to be aloof, we don;t have to pay attention to her.

I think Shyam's motive for taking revenge on Raizadas is Anjali, kya namooni paala hai?

That is all I can think of, sorry trying my best to lift everyone's mood up.

Oh and finally Akash bitwa was there consoling everyone, increased screen footage.

I am a satisfied soul today:)

    Happy weekend everyone*hugssssssssssss*

I loved the contrast between the two brothers.

Akash is incredibly likeable and sweet.

He was supposed to be the Bharat-Lakshman combo (woh alag baat hai ki he is doing less than shatrughna)

And even in my previous show I had the youngest brother who never got much to do, and so If you have any show where the lead pair has sizzling chemistry and the youngest bro does not get any dialouges you will find me taking up his casue.

It is working, they are focusing him more, don;t you agree?

    2. hehe - i agree its too ridiculous even for IPK - but hang on
      - when TF can be a lawyer, electrician, drummer, hwy not a doc - tell tell??
and he can apparate in hogwartsIPK - after all he comes into and out out his room without a hyperventilating Anji noticing!!!

  11. For an episode that is supposed to be a crescendo of sorts for a particular track – have to say – the CVs did a horrid job – very poorly directed:
    - Why did ajni who was already trying to avoid all, see her husband from the poolside but not enter through it?? Especially when her husband can use the same way to go out??
    - Why did the stupid woman wait till she reached the stairs to pull out the piece of glass – ok she was anxious about hubby when she entered but when she was sure he was not there – why did she not pull out the glass – should it not have been a reflex and why did she walk on the glass again???
    - Finally how could TF see where Anji was – as if he was looking straight at her ??
    - Very poor show – we all knew Anji would miscarry at some point or the other but atleast show it in a more plausible way - But one think finally worked for TF – at least one of his experiments worked – he must be a proud man today :D
    - Rekha – but TF was always like this – he was willing to kill his wife for Anji once, ASR for his money – so what would stop him from killing and or harming a helpless baby who is not even around yet to get his hands on the money again???
    - Really liked the hug – they did not need words – they just could feel for each other and his hug – family and people be damned – he was so into her – the rest just did not matter!! – actually after that - ODG’s very slow reaction – her very belated response of going to ODB to hold his hand seemed strange – it should have been her instantaneous reaction – not a thought of one
    - Could identify with ODB’s slow reaction – his state of shock – just like the terrace scene – when he was starting to believe in love and happiness – it all came falling down and the same happened today. However did not understand how neither he nor his family (most him) – did not ask the doc – “and di???” when the doc said we could not save the kid – I know they are happy and excited about the newly formed baby bump but would it not have been a normal reaction to enquire about the daughter??

    ReplyDelete
  12. oh - cant get that dialogue out of my head - when ODB was telling nani about TF - he had very clearly said - "ab say nahi, Shyam kay iradeh shuru say galat they" - (or something to the effect - am pretty sure Sama remembers it word for word :D) -
my point being - now i can believe in the theories that shyam too is linked to the past in some ways - till now i refused to believe in the Shyam sister/mother track - that was just to fantastic an idea to swallow - but now i can accept that there were more reasons behind Shyam's villainy than just greed (though i know greed is usually enough )

    1. Mona- can I add my first gloat - I was expecting the Anji TFC minus the catch and plus the premature labor - though they went to miscarriage - the labor scene and Anji at risk and wanting to see Shyam would have been more convincing reason for Shyam to come back pronto - than after the miscarriage

    2. Mona, you are the Qs I expected to see from Jaya, I guess she is too busy.
And always 'those blooper' Qs have only one answer: hogwarts!

Loved every minute thing about Arhi- this is why I am super excited today.
Somehow, the person I noticed most other than Arhi was Buaji at the hospital scene.

And the doc- ASR interaction...classic ASR.

  14. ok..pardon me if I sound too heartless, but I HAVE to get this out ...

I did not like the epi for many different reasons... Anji was supposed to get hurt and have a miscarriage - I get it (ignoring the fact that now NOBODY will even be bothered abt the fact that she decieved everyone to meet shyam, forget getting mad at her abt this...arnav toh will be around her 24X7 now), but must you show this in b/w the mehendi song sequence???

Don't get me wrong...my only point is, if they knew the end result was gonna be a sad one, why intersperse happy moments in b/w??? Couldn't they have shown the happy moments, ie the song first and then proceeded to anjali getting hurt and falling while people down below are talking...the continuous interruption with the sad part made me not enjoy the happy moments AT ALL...it was as if, everytime the sad parts were poking in my face and telling me this isn't gonna be long lasting..

secondly, if this was supposed to be a major "twist" in the show.. then I am afraid the CVs have lost it! What exactly was surprising abt this part? That anji will have a miscarriage? That shyam would be the reason of it? Or ... that it will hamper the ArHi wedding? ok wait, so the twist was that instead of khushi, anji gets hurt ... fine, still not big enough..

DB/Anjali was good today...she managed to make me feel bad for her inspite of how I feel abt her character...so I'd say job well done!

My point is...what is this going to achieve now and how the hell is this shyam's sure shot ticket to RM??? Secondly, where does this leave ArHi marriage?? I absolutely DO NOT see a marriage happening anytime in the near future...it would seem absolutely ruthless to have such a huge tragedy in the house and a wedding simultaneously.. moreover, ArHi will never want it.. so where does this take their story? Will Arnav again end up blaming khushi for being the cause of di's unhappiness, this time through him?? He'll get kicked where it hurts real bad if he does that, I swear!!

Ok, even if shyam is back to RM...where does that leave ArHi?? They aren't married yet, so obviously they won't be living together, so no question of them fighting shyam together..again, a dead end..

Garima-dadi face-off and the soo called BFTP looks absolutely ridiculous in front of this glaring present...so af of now, that will not unfold..another dead end!

Dear CVs, if you werent sure which one to take forward to, who the hell asked you to introduce sooo many tracks together???!!! You could have kept past for later and introduced shyam again first... or, could have brought in past right now, cleared it up and then got in shyam??? But no, they cannot have a baby, so shyam had to come first...so then why the stupid promotion of garima's past???

Lastly, WHERE IS THIS GONNA TAKE ARHI???? I was right....there aren't gonna show the wedding after all... DM haar gayi, ASR jeet gaya..inspite of DM's ashirwaad there will be no shaadi now..of that I am damn sure...I will be gladly proven wrong, but right now I don't have too many hopes of it..

    1. Mads ,
I don't think marriage is happening now - it does not make sense that Arnav would get married while Di is in this state..

And I already said in another post that ASR getting Shyam back now is the most harebrained anyone can get-but in tellyland kuch hi ho sakta hai..

Dadi-Garima - bhagawan hi jane kab solve hoga - if the wedding is put off there is not need for that confrontation ..

And I hated the juxtaposition of the song with the accident too -it ruined the song ...

Can I try to make it look better?
".it was as if, everytime the sad parts were poking in my face and telling me this isn't gonna be long lasting..":

I think that was the desired effect there.

      "DB/Anjali was good today" *hugs*

"if this was supposed to be a major "twist" in the show.. then I am afraid the CVs have lost it! What exactly was surprising abt this part? ": What surprised me- VLR's kameenapan and WHAT A PLAN! He is not hi-tech, but it was very effective- Anji hurting herself on the glass pieces he had hurled along her path, still trying to save him- (If I say symbolism here today, I'll get chappals!)- S Y M B o....

And I did wonder on thursday why he came dressed as an electrician and tampered with the wires if the 'glass' was his weapon. OOOOH! it was an 'elaborate' plan! *LOL*

"they cannot have a baby, so shyam had to come first...so then why the stupid promotion of garima's past???":

Arre.. iska promo bhi nahi thaa... Yippeeee... I hope you will not say I am foolish in hoping Garima past is the REAL THING.

"DM haar gayi, ASR jeet gaya."
      Aisaa nahi, yaar...
ASR has just reached the temple. DM has to teach him and show him so many things more....including how to come to terms with his past... b4 he gets his Khushi giftwrapped and delivered to him.

I suspect DM did not want Poojali to deliver crepwa's baby and complicate matters further. Yeh bhi unke blessing hi hai!

Mona agree with you on khushi and hospital scene &don't even start on bloopers today, was thinking of poor Jaya's psych. I hope she is still travelling and missed the epi.

    Thanks Geeta :D

Madsie agree with everything you wrote too. Yes they did achieve making everyone feel sympathetic about Anjali today. Nobody deserves that. That's exactly where lies my anger. What pissed me today is, they do know how to elaborate on a characters grief but rather than feeling it all I could think of was how they made a joke out of an innocent girl forced/contract marriage for this very backstabbing Di. Not just the girl involved in marriage but the man in love too. Never really allowed any of the emotion to reach us. How could they do it today?? Make me feel Anjalis pain though my mind was shouting she deserves it. I will say both the characters where not given their due. KKGs was obvious and ASRs wasn't. Again today they have neatly covered up for the wrong. ASR or anybody is not even going to think twice even after Shyaam shouts Di has bacstabbed Chote. That's nothing infront of Di's loss.

Shwetha I want to give you a big bear wala hug ... not one but many many many .... I hope Intense lovestory makes a come back because no matter how much emotion was overflowing in Di's trauma today, I absolutely don't want it if focus is not on ArHi. I had no problem with DKS ... because it had those 5-10 mins of quality ArHi. If they can maintain that it will be lovely. I do not want another mandir ArHi marriage with importance to Di and a full blown marriage because Di feels guilty of robbing Chote off his happiness later in the show. No absolutely not. Hope Nani suggests it ans ASR agrees because he needs Khushi by his side. Unspoken hi sahi.

News from Asli Duniya ... Had to make Uncle and Auntie stay in separate room while we completed discussion on engagement party &this girl is not ready to give up even on a single function. Total satyanash I say.

Madsie I still have hope on marriage ... Nani saw khushi holding Arnavs hand. She knows he need someone most at the moment and there can be noone better than khushi not even her. But then IPK has always shown things which leads up to nothing.

    1. A thought on 4Lions -

They are repeating all they did with their last show. Intense lovestory and chemistry between leads ...kameena BIL/hubbie ...bumpless mother to be ...brutal miscarriage/loss of unborn child ...they will definitely find a ground to redeem Shyaam and don't know make khushi surrogate for Shyli as they cannot make Shyaam marry her sister as Payal is already married. That will a brutal repay of the last 8 months that I have rooted for them exactly at the point when they slowly started going downhill.

The worst they did was butchering character of their lead actress and making her comic rather than spunky to meet their means exactly the way they are doing with khushi now.

Sanaya really is a sweetheart. What not they made her do and she was holding fort completely during kidnapping track ...where was DB then. Now they have bowed down to a low profile actress like DB and throwing it in the name of story.

Worse to me is entrance of Dadi ... She was brought in just to dilute the effect of DKS and remarriage was also in open not to gain TRP directly but to minimize DKS effect. Now that that's done ... Voila they have taken DKS from exactly where they left &Dadi will become another show piece for a week more and will be send back to ashram and never looked back on once shyaam is back. Past gaya tel lene. I was surprised when they said past will be revealed. Ya right!!! Present mess solve nahi huwa aur past. Was thinking of ways in which they won't have to reveal much of past. There you go. They din't take much time to answer that.

I had hope against hope that we will get the tigress khushi back. Can we still hope for it when they are not even bothering!!!!

the lamp wick show is one i do not see at all....but even as a uninterested person, can't help noticing a current promo of an internet range in the vicinity of their neighborhood presumably being investigated into......look an idea.....nothing given away....(i am sure regular viewers know of the reference, i don't know but as i have the gist of the serial...i know it must have something to do with a track where the lead's initial ambition of being a police officer is to come to the fore....

even if i have no interest in the serial, i have to admit they are handling the interest in the show sufficiently by laying out tracks....well in advance and leading up to it...how they handle the actual narrative....i have no idea....tho....and i never will be interested becos thats not my idea of entertainment...

  20. Rekha,
I love that song from Anupama - it is so poignant ..

I actually thought of these lines when the initial contract marriage track happened and Khushi was walking around with a mask of happiness -

    "dil ki tasalli ke liye,
    jhoothi chamak jhootha nikhaar
    jeewan to soonaa hi rahaa,
    sab samjhe aayi hai bahaar
    kaliyon se koi poochhtaa,

  21. Arnav needs Khushi now more than ever to give him support and comfort. She will have to make him look towards a future when his Di will be happy again. Hopefully with a new partner and maybe a family. And of course their future with all the fire, sparks and passion. Really enjoyed the dancing. NK is brilliant and he can dance. Like Khushi he makes the scene more enjoyable.
Hated the scenes with the snake, wanted to wipe the smirk off his face. How wicked can this person get, to cause harm to your unborn child and the mother of that child. Just sick, really sick. I really want this evil person to get what is coming to him in a big way.
Will or won't they have the wedding, that is now the question. I am still hoping, that they go off and do the needful so that they can be together and fight for their love no matter what is coming down the track.
    Goodnight all

  22. Since I am spmming the blog today - how about this story line...

Doc mentions her feet cuts and ASR starts wondering how she got them... The shatir dimag tries to find how she got cut but finds no trace of blood on the floor which starts him thinking..If that is overloading bitwa's shatir dimaag let's have NK do that sleuthing with Mami bond and find more wiring for cc tvs.there was no point in showing the bills if ASR was to never recall them ..

Mohan (Asr's driver ) mentions taking Di to Purple orchid - more voltage fluctuation in ASR's shatir dimaag..he calls the restaurant and asks if there was a reservation for Jha.

Di, meanwhile comes out of the hospital with no memory of losing the baby - she is delusional that she is still pregnant - after all she has had a lot of practise holding the non-existent belly and trying to convince us she is pregnant - its hardly a stretch for her to convince herself...

She thinks she took a nap and wakes up asking when is the haldi and wedding ....

Now we have Dadi rooting for the wedding so that anji does not crumble and even Garima's secret is brushed aside to get the wedding done..

So Mami bond, NK, ASR get together , compare notes and finally realise what Di's been up too and ASR knows Dadi covered Anji's date and can start keeping an eye on her too..

Now that they know what Anji has been up to, as part of the wedding guests - Arnav gets a psychotherapist into the house who starts working with Anji..

Ofcourse all this leaves Shyamwa out - but I am not going to miss him..Let him go to Chachaji and start plotting the next take ower the Raizada empire' abhiyaan'

I do know all the above needs the characters to utilise some grey matter and our CT doe snot seem to like the thought .. but hey I can hope for some semblance of logic :)

  25. Gul, not today, not tomorrow, not in the next one year, but when you end the story, please can you give us Anjali stabbing Shyam over and over again, with strong fbs of what happened yesterday. THANKS. This is what I really want to do today. Can’t hate Shyam more than this.
What he did to Babuji, Khushi or ASR does not come anywhere close to what he did to Anjali.
    Killing that baby….

Did this man escape from a mental asylum? I am pretty sure he is the one who needs therapy.
That image of Anjali searching for Shyam…with bleeding feet…worried about her husband’s sfety… a betrayed wife who walked into her husband’s trap... and lost her baby… Well done, 4 LIONS.
    *APPLAUSE* *APPLAUSE* *APPLAUSE*

I was ranting yesterday, I felt the director was distracted with something; and now I know why.
He was concentrating on Anjali. What a scene!

And today, Arhi was back to normal.
That holding hands spoke much more about Arhi than any hugs or kisses.
Now I know my show is not getting hijacked. Things are in place. Everything will make sense.
I feel yesterday was 1/3 the undoing of Arhi
    1/3: stop the marriage..

Di’s mishap- there can be no marriage RIGHT now- ASR(that last shot focusing on Barun- uffff….) is grief stricken..don’t know how he will react , who he will direct his anger towards(certainly not Khushi)….
1/3: Shyam -when he is called back to RM on dadi’s and nani’s insistence, since Anjali will totally lose it- will he come up with a MU story or will he point fingers at Khushi? He will have some story there? May be not, no one will be interested in stories any more, they will just want Anjali to talk and come out of her shock. ASR will go to any extent for his di.

1/3: Garima- dadi connection- who will get to know the story first?
    Khushi, dadi or ASR?

  26. Su,

I did not feel for the loss of the child because I knew this PH will get rid of the child in the most gruesome way possible and they did. In their previous show too the lead lost her baby when she tumbled down the stairs and they repeated it here. That time too she was worried about the safety of her husband and lost her baby and here too Anj was worried about her husband getting caught and walked into his trap. The only difference is there the father (I would consider Maan as the father and not his crook bro) was not at fault whereas the father is responsible for killing his own baby to get an entry into the house.

Strangely although I am a known empathiser of Anj, I did not feel sorry for her. Her desperation to cover up for her hubby, ignoring her own hurt did not elicit any sympathies from me. I feel she is better off without that creep's baby. Although I know they will get back the creep into the house now, I hope Arnav doesn't give in. The creep is the last person whom Anj really needs.

What I can't digest is the fact that the entire family including the ever caring Dadi left the pregnant woman alone. What business does Dadi have part taking in a mehendi celebration she does not approve of? It is ridiculous showing her with the rest of the family when preg Anj was left on her own. I want that woman to blame herself for the mishap rather than point her fingers at others. If she suggests that damadji is the one to get her out of grief I want someone to gag her and throw her in the deepest ocean.

Frankly IPKKND no longer holds the charm it once did. It looks like the CVs have just thrown too many balls up in the air and are not sure which one they want to catch.

    1. Opti,

This is where you are all wrong.
"I knew this PH will get rid of the child in the most gruesome way possible and they did. ":

In the previous serial, it was the lead. So this itself proves Anjali is as important as the leads.
      Plus:
I think some of us at least knew this. Dia was the one who told this to us first. Way back when Anjali got pregnant, Dia repeatedly said that it is difficult to have a child around during shoots and the pregnancy will not see the light of the day.
I was sure of it all thru the 'non- existent' bump.
How do we know that DB refused it?
      Is there any reliable source?
The PH did not bother with it because the baby was not important, they had decided on the fate of the pregnancy the day they invented it or much before, when they wrote the story.
There is a big DB hating club in IF that made up the story that it was her fault. Some one started the story, every one bought it and by now every one is convinced that it is the truth. I am a big 'proof' person when it comes to convicting someone just like that.

BTW, right now there is another story doing the rounds that they 'changed the track' because someone in IF decided that Shyam's sister had an affair with ASR's dad and it seems 'they changed the story'.I've not looked into redux yet after y'day's epi, I hope they have some nice things to say at least. Because the very fact that every one hated it here is enough proof for me that 4 LIONS does not give a damn about what people say. THEY WILL TELL THEIR STORY THE WAY THEY WANT.

Which again makes me wonder about the 'SP interference' theory. I've been reading for quite some time that the PH wanted live- in and SP changed it to contract.
Well, if that is the truth, then SP is the best thing that happened to the show. B'coz every fb and rtr is based on the contract wedding. If it was 'live in' we wouldn't have K and ASR fbing about the sindoor and MS every episode. There'd be no saat phere, I mean almost half of the serial would not have happened if it was not a contract wedding. Therefore, I cannot buy that theory either.

Girls, I don't mean to sound coercive. I understand it is irritating to read the same thing over and over again.
I've been pleading for some time to see Anjali as a person and not a hindrance to Arhi.(Yes, Dia, I know you disagree with me and I am in for a powerful counter attack from many of you. Today I will not support Anjali. I just wish you could see her as I see her. This is what the cvs have been saying in different ways too:'take your eyes off Arhi.', DB and AD defending Anjali,'dekhna hai to dekho'.....
      For me, it means:
'You are going to hate the serial if you cannot empathise with Anjali still- it is not going to make any sense from here on.'

Even if you can't, consider this:

ASR has two important women in his life. Yes, K is more important. Does not mean that he cannot UNCONDITIONALLY love his sister. Yes, she met VLR behind his back, did not take his word for the truth, landed up in this big mess.... Is he going to say,
"Serves di right, she should've listened to me." or
"What business she had- giving MY money to Shyam."

I feel his love is and should be UNCONDITIONAL. I accept and love my di as she is- with all her faults, because she is my sister and my mother- and she has misunderstood me and the situation.(He will love her even if she is a murderer, so long as it is not Khushi she murders).

Khushi will be PROUD to have a husband(??- any way, husband in the long run) who thinks like this.
Rest, let it unfold in time.

In the meantime, the bessst thing liked about the epi- THEY DID NOT KEEP US IN SUSPENSE OVER THE WEEKEND.
      Thank you, CVs.
      You guys rock!
I am still super excited about the epi. Not going to redux yet, in case it is the same story there too.

A big sorry if I irritated any of you. *hugs*

    2. Su - i don't think any one can doubt that Di is very important or that if there was no Di the story would have ended long ago - remember - she was the one who got Khushi back in the first place - and what use is a love story if the path is all smooth and problem less - imagine Arhi meeting - falling in love and saying so without hitches - meh.. so boring - we like it the way it is :D:D

And us not liking or arguing how dumb Anji is also imp - that's the reason it is so - for us to ponder adn debate - would she/should she/could she/how could she etc etc. - hence keep the debate going - i'm loving it - follow it with as much a passion as i follow supreme court verdicts!!!

    3. Su,

I did not understand how you thought I was wrong. I was amongst the first to say that this baby is going to get killed before it arrived. I did not have any hopes for it and had no feelings of attachment towards it because it was just a means to an end and not not an end itself. I was attached to the baby in their earlier show because I personally felt that story would have gone places had they kept the baby. A man accepting and loving a baby which was not his would have been a beautiful story to tell and though they did show Maan's attachment to the unborn baby, I still felt that baby coming into this world and recognising the love showered on it would have been something else. The PH's excuse that they cannot handle a baby on the sets is a load of BS. There are other shows that have done it with elan. Anyway enough of my rants on Geet and what it could have been.

Coming to this show, yes, Anj was an integral part of the story right from the beginning. In fact the earliest article I read about the show was that it was going to be a story about the bond between a bro-sis and how they find love outside their high class society (something to that effect). When I said she is better off without that creep's child it is because with a baby in the picture, the creep can get a foothold into her life anytime, which I don't want. I did not mean that Arnav should say serves her right for not listening to him. Nobody is so stupid to expect that. Yes, love has to be unconditional between the brother and sister and it will be. Wouldn't expect anything less but bringing back Shyam into the house, knowing w3hat he is capable of, is not going to be in the interest of his sister whom he so dearly loves. So if he does it, to me he is just an emotional fool. The only way I can accept it is if he gets him in with the sole purpose to get him out of her life for good by making clear cut plans to trap him in front of his Di and get her to see his true colours. I would blame Arnav for not revealing the whole truth to his Di in the first place. If he had maybe things wouldn't have come to this.

I never had any animosity towards DB. She is a limited actress but had no problems with her attitude. As to the baby bump, it has nothing to do with the actress but everything to do with the PH. They did it to Drashti and they did it here. No actress worth her salt would throw her weight around refusing to have a bump if the PH demands it.

This PH is known to enchant their viewers with a mesmerising pair and an interesting story to start with but end up losing their way midstream. They bungle complicated tracks and mess things around. Again am speaking based on my experience with Geet. Since they have made the story so convoluted - to me Anj suffers from personality disorder, Shyam is a heartless criminal let lose, Garima has a dark past tied to the Raizadas, Dadi is a tyrannical who believes what is good for the gander is not good for the goose, Shashiji's health condition can go any which way and Arhi are still the doting siblings whose every attempt at happiness for themselves comes to nought - they better handle it with care and untangle every knot instead of tightening the noose tighter. Another bad habit this PH has is that they leave a lot of lose ends. Since they are pulling this story in various directions, they better sought this out neat and clean.

Dadi a good point, I guess she too was caught up in the moment, after all potay aka grandson's marriage is there, she does love him in her own way. And no one expected Anjali to go all alone, she could have asked for help.

I am just glad the baby to bump or not to bump has been solved and the baby sadly has been bumped off.

Ditto. What an ugly bump it was!
If I don't rewatch the epi, (I will- many times over to see that arhi hand- hold) it will be because of the ugly bump that seemed to be bouncing(?did I imagine it?) as Anji fell down.
I am really serious here- that bump could have been done better!!!(Yaay! I am starting another debate, Mona, though there is no debate on this point. We all unanimously agree on this one. *wink*)

oh i agree the bump could have been done better - see they started using it so late in the game that they did not know how to hold it - Anji always held on to it as if it were slipping :D:D:D

Anji did not elicit sympathy because she has been moping and whining in self-pity all the time ...Not once did she think of the attempted murder of her chote..if she has indeed raised him like a mother should that not have been the first thing on her mind - and the fact that she wanted to get rid of the baby in begining out of self-pity did not set the stage for eliciting sympathy fromt he audience when she did..

As to leaving he pregnant woman alone- i mean she could have gone for a bathroom break - what really grated on my nerves was they left her alone in her room after the Shyam-Khushi thing came out - who in their right minds would leave her to mope alone -she should have been on a 24 hour watch at that time ..anyway water under the bridge

    10. Su,
I agree about ASR loving Di unconditionally..but loving unconditionally does not mean he has to condone everything she does..

I think with love comes responsibility - just like you do not let your child play with fire because he is going to desolate if you don't , you do not put your loved one at risk with a person who tried to murder you , left your wife tied up on the road to be run over by you ...ASR knows a large if not full extent of Shyam's evil.
So if ASR lets shyam come anywhere near Anji, I would question the love itself..

I do not have a problem with Anji as a person , except she is weak, dependent and as a result has no will to see anything she does not want to see..and is a master emotional blackmailer to get what she wants ..she has not shown a spine to stand for what she believes in .. so yes there is no respect for the character.

Sorry in advance if you guys hate me for it.

I checked IF and so please me who died, an unborn baby who came into our view barely a week ago.

Is this the first time there has been a miscarriage in an indian show?

Do they think this will be the last time.

Weren't signals clear, when the actress refused to sport a bump, she will never agree to be a mom in the show?

Did our show ever have a place for a baby in the show.

Forget DB, you think rest of the young cast members would have been okay with a kiddo around jab khud kay roles may itna confusion hai.

So finally you had your villain get right one wrong thing ensuring there is no chance of him being pardoned and everyone is furious with that?

I would seriously puke if they showed SHyam has the baby, Anjali was not performing a stunt under controlled circumstances that he could guess, oh wait she will fall under such an angle, I will give her this much of shock, only the baby will die, anjali will not. And he bribed the doctor for telling a lie.

I will puke even more if they show Arnav somehow hid the baby just to flesh and flush Shyam.

Now that the villain is coming, look ahead.

He will create trouble. Let we get a glimpse of the dimaagwala ASR we have been sold but never got to see that product.

His dimaag demo of outwitting Khushi does not count and he did not outwit shyam by marrying khushi, he was just being possessive of khushi.

This is an Indian soap, crap will happen, we were sold a love story of one couple and we are seeing a love story of another couple

    dekhna hai toh dekho.

Hmmm...This means I should keep off redux.
      Lots of alarming theories!
I can save you from one, perhaps:"I will give her this much of shock, only the baby will die, anjali will not."

I think the baby died from trauma of the fall, not the electric shock. Shyam probably never bothered about the baby- he wanted her to fall- cause some harm to the baby- whether it lives or not does not matter to him much.

Waah! What a villainwa! Proud of him too.
(How come IF didn't float a theory yet that Poojali had an extramarital affair and this is Shyam's and DM's way of punishing her for her misdeeds! I am disappointed. *ducks*)

    3. hey ladies - me too thinks the baby has played its role - the role of keeping Shyam around when ASR found the truth (Shyam's lies that is) - and keeping Arhi together will all his feelings of anger and hurt gave way to complete love and surrender

that's what the baby was supposed to do and did - ab uski zaroorat nahi - if the baby stayed - Anji could actually have loved someone more than her husband and started using her brains and that would have made her a sensible woman and ruined our story - so no - baby had to go

May I have one last one b4 I shut up?

Don’t worry. NOT an Anji- defending post.
Something personal I feel for mother's losing their babies.

I am very lucky that I never had to go through the trauma of a pregnancy loss. I can only imagine how painful it must be. Two of my close friends had to go through these mishaps- one had a tubal pregnancy and the other had a tubal pregnancy followed by an abortion. Both asked me through their tears- “why me?”
The pain of losing a child you carried almost till term, after you have felt the kicks…I can’t even imagine…
    Felt like quoting this:

For Mothers Who Carry Their Children In Their Heart,
    Rather Than In Their Arms

So many months I carried you
and I couldn't wait to see
What a wonderful a little person
you would turn out to be.

I had my dreams of how it would be
    just to watch you grow
But now those dreams are faded
    because I shall never know.

For God in His great wisdom
    looked from His throne above
And saw how beautiful you were,
so He carried you away with love

Now the rocking chair sits silent
and the lullabies won't be voiced
But in heaven there's a celebration
as all of the angels rejoice.

My tears, they won't be quiet,
they flow like a river roars
And I know my life is forever changed--
to be the same no more.

I must be a special mother
because I have been set apart
Some mothers carry their children in their arms,
but I carry you in my heart.

When I think of what I felt for my friends, I feel NOTHING for Anjali.

I don’t even feel like mentioning Anjali because I fear the CVs WILL NOT DO JUSTICE to her character.

    Just one small observation,

“Aap hameshaa apne mama- papa ke saath rahenge”:hameshaa never happens in real life, Anjali. Children grow up and they go away. They don’t stay with their parents always. The only way they will stay with you hameshaa is when they become angels.

I don’t know if I can connect with Anjali from now on, because I don’t know what twists her character will go through to make things difficult for Arhi. I really hope the CVs take this forward sensibly. I am hoping the BFTP will play to minimize the damage to Anjali at least a bit. In other words, hoping for less drama. If Anjali goes mute in grief, more acceptable. I can’t accept her making any demands for getting her husband back. Let dadi insist on it.
Also, will she end up feeling guilty?
And sometime in the future, I hope VLR comes out to her in his stupidity (Sandy always predicted this) and/ or I hope she discovers our old friend, ‘the will’ neatly taped to the underside of that cradle that ‘inhone’ bought for his rajkumari. I want REVENGE for this baby.

After Anji's miscarriage- HP is asked to remove the cradle from the room and comes to ASR/Nani/Mami with the paper he found under the cradle - Dadi would be even better - then she can deliver on "hum aapki aur arnav ki khushi chahte hai.

  31. Thinking out aloud....

this theory that Shyam is related to Arnav's past and seeking revenge for whatever wrong done to his sister and her kids....

will a Man seeking revenge for his sister and her kids, be so heartless to kill his own child....

also his previous actions like kidnapping ASR and trying to kill him.... had he succeeded, how wud he take revenge from a dead ASR (without telling him why he did all this) remember he dint even let ASR know that he was behind the kidnapping.....

him leeching after Khushi infront of his wife.... a person whose sister had to suffer due to a pervert man (mallik senior) will he do the same with other woman.....

if IPK still follow the shyam sister angle then its one hell of a illogical serial, just like all the other kekta serials..... i dont blame them, cause its a rat race for trp's.... But i had a certain amount of respect for Gul and team cause of the detailed character sketch of ASR, Anjali and also Khushi to a certain extent, of how their childhood have changed them and the imp given little things and all...that respect will go down a notch..if they get Shyam's sisters angle

    1. oh i totally agree- the villain is a villain coz he is lusting after a girl who is not interested in him + he is after the money - Have always said that i did not believe the sister/mother theories because of the fact stated above and because those theories were just too fantastic/illogical for me to swallow - but i guess considering the depth of villainy to which he was allowed to fall - attempting to kill his own wife and child got all (including me) thinking - how could he do that - so started thinking - what if there was some other reason for such dastardly acts (though i still don't believe in the ma/sis theory - i am with you on how can a man avenging a misdeed to his ma/sis do the same to his kid?) - to me the reason was more money related - ASRsr and Jha sr fighting over business kinds

      Delete
    2. Mona, ur point bt seniors fighting over money makes more sense.....

here's my feeble attempt at speculation :D

mallikSr (both father n chacha) and JhaSr were business partners....and chacha n jhaSr were laundering money..... when caught put the whole blame on the accountant / manager who was Khushi's father...mallikSr insulted and threw him out... when he tried to prove his innocence, he was killed by the evil duo and made mallikSr look like the murderer....

Garima fought for justice, filing a case against mallikSr, there enters DD trying to buy her silence....when she dint comply, Dd stigmatized her as a characterless woman......

later when MallikSr found out the truth, he broke of ties with JhaSr also got him arrested (spared his evil brother for khoon ka rishta) so when evil chacha finds a chance to destroy mallikSr, he plants a girl who blames mallikSr with rape charges, that too on Anji's wedding day....Mrs Mallik cannot take the insult so kills herself (or she was killed by chacha) mallikSr blames himself for her death and commits suicide.....

waah Geetanjali waah *pats my back* hhehehe..btw i know this is too predictable and kektaish :P

    3. Geeta/Mona,
Absolutely agree... the Shyam taking revenge angle is so cliched and does not jell with the character ..
His behaviour with Shashi babua was shown to be clearly sadistic and evil- all black ..now trying to paint him grey is not going to work - because revenge for a good reason absolves the person of evil.. and Shyam is pure evil...trying to cause maximum pain whenever he has the chance

  32. Su, I am with you. I want the creep to be punished big time for what he has done.
I also want Dadi to realise her part in the crime and for her to feel the guilt of her actions. I am wondering if Khushi will tell Arnav that she saw Di before her fall and in his grief, and temper he will put some blame onto her for not stopping her from going up the stairs, and later realise what he has done again. A grief stricken Arnav may be difficult to handle but not for the love of his life, his Khushi. She understands her man now, and will share his pain.

  33. To me this story stands at a strange threshold....i no longer know what i want from the story becos the actions of the players are messed up far beyond reason...

When I see ASR in the hospital room, i would look to blame ASR...why? becos at the first instance....

as a brother who wanted to ensure his family's safety, he could not guarantee her safety....
Obviously he will be crushed to know that she was without a brace and her feet were pierced by glass pieces and then discover that she was pushed off the stairs by an electric shock (dunno if that can be discovered)...

Instead of thinking why this happened to Anji, he will be angry why this happened to her in the first place in a fairly secure home...what did he do wrong in this matter?
He will get a few leads and his follow-up will cause him to find what were the various loopholes in the way he secured his family's safety...who knows his investigations will lead him to know that his di was doing a lot of strange things behind his back...

Yes he will be shattered but he will still blame himself Why?

becos he did not ever convince her of what he had come to believe....Shyam's duplicity.

whichever way i look at it, ASR has to take the utlimate blame for not confronting things that were meant to be faced and not buried....But this was not how this story meant to be...

Today, Anji becomes a martyr and will be egged on to take revenge on a man (who allegedly was also on a revenging spree if indications are to be believed) inspite of being a dumbass basically but the man who cottonwooled his sister will cry buckets, perhaps lash out at the ones who can take the burden(read Khushi, his eternal punching bag).....In short, the lovebirds (whats that, did u ask?) will essentially wait for the durga avatar of Anji to wait benignly for her blessings....did someone say this was a love story? must be my misunderstanding for sure....the mother of all MUs....

Kekta can derive some inspiration from Gul here i guess....

    1. 'the mother of all MUs.' so true Rekha....

it is such a sad thing that ASR will blames himself and lash out at Khushi, both though guilty, but still innocent in their own ways....but the main guilty party anji and dadi wont even realize their big blunder....and when they do, they will be forgiven easily by all......

With you on that..At some point Arnav an khushi have to wake up to the fact that they are the victims because they let themselves be..ASR because he does not confront and bring issues to the right closures , Khushi because she takes the abuse under the guise of "best intentions for others"
Hope the CT knows that if ASR uses Khushi as a punching bag again , its going to take a lot to get people to feel for the 'lovebirds'..it will go to Khushi is better off without the guy..
And there is only so much abuse in the name of love people can stomach..I for one find it sickening..and weakens Khushi's character...It puts her on par with Anji's - condoning the abuser..if that happens again I do not think I will continue watching the show..

I ALREADY feel that!!! The last time Arnav asked her "kash main tumse mila hi nahi hota" was the time I had felt that and now if he does that again, I will again feel that... she should just accept NK's love proposal and let them both go settle in Australia.. enough is enough! ASR blames khushi again and I swear he has the worst ever curses and abuses from me...

as it is, he is yet to complete his road to redemption and if he walks off midway, he has had it from me!!

sooo, soo true!!! I was just about to say that ... agreed, khushi loves the guy, but really, show the spark that girl has which we have witnessed before so many times...or is it that then she wasn't in love, so she was able to say all that stuff to him and now that she is, she is unable to?!

Honestly, IF this marriage is going to break OR if there is any kind of rift b/w ArHi, khushi has to initiate it..I CANNOT have arnav blaming khushi yet again... I don't care how many times I repeat that, but I just CANNOT have it!!

if i am not mistaken - FF means 'Fan Fiction" - where these girls (assuming they are all girls) write stories using the same characters. Usually i do not find them very exciting - either they are very badly written or the writers conveniently change the characters to suit their style - (something i cant stand) - eg all stories will have a very naive KKG - innocent to the point of being absolutely dumb!! and ASR an out and out casanovsa (of which we have had no proof in the actual story!) -
But these two were very funny and i really enjoyed them - good fun - one more that i liked was 'You're got mail' - its a bunch of mails between the characters - really funny too

  38. Rekha,
In the hope that blogger is not hungry:

"ASR has to take the utlimate blame for not confronting things that were meant to be faced and not buried....But this was not how this story meant to be...":

    Hmmm...
Yes, he overlooked the Shyam factor, can it be said in his defence that two women distracted him:

    1. His sister turned psychotic and almost suicidal and murderous(Trying to kill her unborn child)
    2. He was overwhelmed with guilt and fear of losing the only woman he had ever fallen in love with.

    I WILL NOT BLAME ASR.
I am fine with it if he blames himself, but I feel he will not use K as a punching bag again. They are beyond that now.

I am wondering...What is dadi going to do?
    What is Garima's secret?
Does Shyam have any other plans up his sleeve?
How is KKG going to react when she is bombarded with all these?(Har kaam akele karegi? )

Because, I feel the reason for Arhi separation will be decided by the answers to these questions; Anjali's loss is just the tip of the iceberg.

"In short, the lovebirds (whats that, did u ask?) will essentially wait for the durga avatar of Anji to wait benignly for her blessings...":
Rekha, who is benign? KKG? ASR? One of them will always fight for their love.

If there is a durga avatar for Anji- it is going to take a long time. Is this not a love story?
I feel all these factors- Anjali, Shyam, Dadi, Garima -are there to just take Arhi to the next level in their relationship. They are just setting the bg for the next level.
I hope I am right. This is what keeps me calm, I am patiently waiting for the big picture.I will maarofy dandaa on myself if I am wrong.

    1. Su,
to respond to that remark on who is benign....i read my remark again...i meant to say...i did not say properly in a hurry....that if the track unfolds to reveal a Durga-avatar Anji, the love birds would no other role other than to wait for Anji's benign blessings...meant it as a sarcastic remark to say that when Anji ki kripa drishti padegi tab inki pyar ki gaadi patri pe chadegi.....

Maybe this is an obstacle that makes many happy but it does nothing for the romantic notions i hold dear.....I thot, this story would face obstacles in the form of Anji and Arnav and Khushi will be forced to make sacrifices but yet the power of their love and destiny's path will keep them close on the same side....they will be able to show Anji the path to resurrection, if u will....thats not a notion i hold dear...its just a logical path i see for these characters....Anji, arnav, Khushi ...all damaged in a way...each reacts to adversity in a diff manner yet the common thread the love they share for each other.....of these three, Anji the most damamged, Arnav the most wilful and Khushi the belligerent ( come problem, hit me but spare everyone!)

I also agree I can't blame anyone for holding these notions becos i have to react to what is on offer and not what could have been.....

Another thing, i will make one more attempt :Anji, there are three diff ways to describe her :

      1) she knows nothing and she is just waiting for truth to emerge and will accept truth when she is faced with it.....pretty much how u sum her up, Su.... I get the CVs probably want to say this but I think the execution is all wrong...(Su...u and i will disagree on this i know)

      2) Anji knows everything and this is just her quest for perfect world playing out....something that Dia has said often...altho she has also said her fragile state is responsible for it
I want to know how she reacts to Friday events and I will have some of the answers to whether she knows or not...CVs can still play the waiting game but if they show her even a wee bit like Durga without connecting any dots....I will accept Dis is bang on right....

3)This is a bit of how most of us here in R&R read her, it has bits of Dia's description but with an added severe medical condition. she does not know everyting and also has a tendency to block unwelcome information......it might require a jolt to make her understand what exactly is wrong with her world....

I am rambling....i have lost the point i started out to make but will come back when i find that train of thot...phew!!

  39. Some quotes on troubles:

    1. “If trouble comes when you least expect it then maybe the thing to do is to always expect it.”

I’d like to dedicate the above quote to KKG.

    2. “Do not trouble the trouble, if you trouble the trouble... The trouble will trouble you...”
    ― Prof. Elizabeth Santos
I feel Anjali lived by this quote and will soon learn that it was not a good way to live her life.

    3. “I to my perils
    Of cheat and charmer
    Came clad in armour
    By stars benign.
    Hope lies to mortals
    And most believe her,
    But man's deceiver
    Was never mine.

    The thoughts of others
    Were light and fleeting,
    Of lovers' meeting
    Or luck or fame.
    Mine were of trouble,
    And mine were steady;
    So I was ready
    When trouble came.”
    ― A.E. Housman, A Shropshire Lad

I feel this is how ASR should live, unfortunately he belonged to this club:
    The thoughts of others
    Were light and fleeting,
    Of lovers' meeting
    Or luck or fame.

AS he grows older and wiser may be he will belong here. (OFC, by then KKG will be his forever and he will not have to worry about convincing her about his feelings for her. Anji, hopefully will be a stronger person , thanking DM for blessings in the form of her bro and sil.)
    Mine were of trouble,
    And mine were steady;
    So I was ready
    When trouble came

(heh heh...he will not need this club if by then Shyam is safely behind bars...that of a mental asylum at least...)

    and Arhi lived happily everafter....

    ESPECIALLY loved these two quotes:
    4. “There are a great many opinions in this world, and a good half of them are professed by people who have never been in trouble."

    (The Mill)”
― Anton Chekhov, The Portable Chekhov

(Hmm… Shall I dedicate this to fandom who wants the characters to behave as they would want, point is , do any of us really know how we’d behave in these situations?- That includes ME, who is a big time ranter.)

    5. “A society that gets rid of all its troublemakers goes downhill.”
    ― Robert A. Heinlein
(Thank god for small mercies like Shyam who make sure our society/ show does not go downhill!!!)

  40. Opti,
Sorry, I did not write clearly up there.
I was not defending Anji up there, I was defending the PH.
"This PH is known to enchant their viewers with a mesmerising pair and an interesting story to start with but end up losing their way midstream. They bungle complicated tracks and mess things around. Again am speaking based on my experience with Geet.":

This is the part I meant by 'wrong'.
I may have come across as a little forceful there...didn't mean to.

I really can't say you are wrong or right here. Never watched Geet- don't feel like because I find Gurmeet a limited actor.

Basically, I can only say, 'I hope you are wrong about the PH ruining the show', because up till now IPK has not lost its sheen for me. Even after that horrendous kidnap track, which I feel the PH handled quite well given their limitations. In fact, that is what makes me trust this team.
    *hugs*
I really hope they don't let me down.

    1. Su,

Since you haven't watched Geet, you couldn't judge Gurmeet as as an actor in that show. Both he and Drashti did a brilliant job there and this is not only my view. That show had a very strong script to start with and could have gone places if they had handled it well but they blew their chances. They belittled grievous hurt and made a mockery of the female lead's fight for justice.

In this show too we have seen Khushi getting the raw end of the deal. They haven't handled properly the issue of the daamaad leching over his sister-in-law. Nani as the matriarch of the house should have told Dadi there is no way Shyam can be let into the house because she cannot expose Khushi to living under the same roof as the man who harassed her. In the interest of protecting her precious grand daughter from the hard truth, is she not doing wrong to Khushi, who has done nothing but good to the family?

If they now bring back Shyam in the pretext of retaining Anj's mental balance, it would only further accentuate the injustice to Khushi. Who knows we may even get an ever forgiving Khushi to forgive Shyam for his wrong so that Di's life is back on track just as Geet forgave the guy who impregnated her and left her at the mercy of her family who wanted to kill her, all because he happened to be her husband's brother. Worse she even got her sister married to that rascal.

So I am not too confident that this PH will show justice being delivered fair and square. My point is if they take on strong and contemporary social issues such as honour killing or sexual harassment by a family member, they need to show its proper execution.

To me IPKNND is not only a love story but a love story which is ingrained within a larger collage of betrayal, familial sexual harassment, greed and mental disorder. Each of these things should get a proper closure.

Throwing a lot of balls in the air and catching only a few is what I am fearful of. I would be thoroughly disappointed if Arnav agrees to bring back Shyam into the house without a proper plan to get him caught red handed in front of his Di so that she can have a proper closure to the Shyam chapter. This is the least he could do for Khushi.

    2. Opti, ur post helped me get the train of thot i had lost in the earliest post...

"I would be thoroughly disappointed if Arnav agrees to bring back Shyam into the house without a proper plan to get him caught red handed in front of his Di so that she can have a proper closure to the Shyam chapter. This is the least he could do for Khushi."

for starters from the point of "i believe in what Khushi says" Arnav has not faced the real world....ASR should have not twiddled his thumbs (ok he did a lot more..i forget!) after that dialogue....but a smarter man would have thot about Shyam's next POA.....even if i accept that as a "script ki majboori" it is high time, he did a detour from his SKD....i will not grudge a single moment that he spent in his SKD but ASR has to show some glimpses of his dimag now....

    3. Su,
I question the PH's ability to show consistency in their female lead - I find that they have messed up Khushi's character many times - from "aapan umr se kahin zyada samajhdaar" as Nani saw her, with all her start-stop activities they have managed to make her look fickle, flighty and childish. Running or walking away now under the pretext of sacrifice will make it worse.

If they do not show her digging her feet in and becoming a pillar of support for ASR - I doubt the character will work longterm.

    4. Opti, ur post is exactly my views both on GEET and the current track of IPK

    5. Opti,
My reading on Gurmeet is from punarvivaah where I feel he does not have the range of expressions many actors have. May be it is the director's fault, because I find even the female lead of PV not a very great actress. On the other hand, I find the female lead of Geet(Drashti, right) very good in Madhubala, and even the male lead supports her well- a couple I enjoy watching after ARHI, even though the story is predictable and is similar to IPK.
Since I haven't watched GEET, can't comment on the PH losing its head. I hope they've learned from their past mistakes.

Shyam- what he did to Khushi- I wouldn't call it sexual harassment, because the many chances he had, even with Khushi trying to trap him, he never touched her. On the contrary he reassured her that he wouldn't touch her without her permission. He even believed what he had for her was 'pure love'- some kind of MADNESS definitely, plus greed and may be revenge and what not.I would call it infidelity- a common crime. Leching on his wife's sil- she was not that when he fell for her. For me, what he did to Anjali is far worse.

      Rekha,
On your 3 POVs: Precisely why I've stopped defending Anjali. I have not, for the past 2 days and it is such a relief. I will not touch on Anji again, her role is over for me with the accident.
Personally, I hope Anjali goes into shock-dadi makes the decision to get VLR back and let ASR decide on what to do.
I hope Anjali takes time to recover from shock plus or minus VLR (let it not make any difference to her since she is in shock), slowly realises what a kameena her husband is, plus or minus durga avataar.(Again, what is ASR's role in this drama? The women in his life do everything for him?- so I am not looking forward to durga Anjali.I'll patiently view it if they do it, but seriously, hasn't she had her fill of screen space?)

      Sri,
"I find that they have messed up Khushi's character many times "- What I felt many times post the forceful wedding- Why doesn't she give it back to him?(I used to call her the sacrificial lamb sarcastically)

And one day I realised I am asking too much of this character. She will not hurt her loved ones, the durga avataar of Khushi is reserved for Shyam and Shyam alone and ANYONE who 'hurts' her family.

She is CHILDISH- precisely the reason why ASR tells her she acts like a 9 year old. ( I am sorry, all of you are going to give it to me for this, but where exactly was this 'mature' Khushi? Determined, YES. Mature?
I started watching from the 'getting locked in car trunk' scene- my first reaction was- what a funny character! It took me a while to accept her as a funny cute character with a HEART OF GOLD- "thodi si pagli hai, par cute hai"- exactly as ASR described her. May be she will grow up in course- but he does not seem to want her to! He loves her as she is.

I am with all of you here:
I will not tolerate it if ASR does another blame game on Khushi. But then, they did this already; so I don't expect this again.

I will not like it if Khushi plays another 'sacrificial lamb' for his di- again, this has already been done.
So what is it that they have to offer this time around?
I hope they don't test our patience too much in bringing it on.(Remembering the weary Kidnap track here.)

And again, really hoping the PH will not let any of us down.

    6. Opti,
Back after watching Geet scenes- you are right, they were a cute couple. Why doesn't Gurmet come across as this good in PV? Script and direction, I suppose.

    7. Su,
May be because the only thing that attracted me to this serial was my reading of Khushi as a strong, determined, righteous, responsible heroine who will do whatever it takes for her family albeit with funny quirks...the fluff covered a strong core.

If by what you are saying, that is not true, and she is meant to be only a pagal, cute, kid with a heart of gold who finds a spine only when pushed to a corner by Shyam - that's fine.

But its too weak a heroine for my taste - hence the hope that they show her finding and demonstrating that core strength.

      Delete
    8. Opti,
      Well said ...
Nani as a matriarch should not allow any possibility of a repeat of Khushi's harrassment. Especially because everyone knows the ruse he enacted
      - living as a paying guest, getting engaged to Khushi - how can anyone even buy the argument that is a galafehmi , unless they have anji's IQ.

And if they decide to bring Shyam in - I would rather Khushi stay at GH whether it is because pheras are not done or some other pretext - the thought of the whole family being aware of Shyam's lust for Khushi and Khushi having to live in the same house under everyone's scrutiny of every interaction with shyam is too distasteful...:(

And seriously , Khushi sitting at the same dinner table with a guy who tried to kill her and ASR churns the stomach:(

      Su,
Harrassment need not be physical.Pursuing Khushi after she had said no , is harrassment..the behavior he displays while she is oiling Anji's hair is sexual harrasment..

      Delete
    9. Su,

How can you not consider what Shyam did to Anj post her marriage as not sexual harassment? The man held her hand against her will after that Heer Ranjha scene which led to Arnav misunderstanding Khushi and lashing out at her. He paraded half nude in front of Khushi in the pretext of using Arnav's bathroom. As Sri said, in the oil massaging scene he opening ogled at her making Khushi feel distinctly uncomfortable. He treid to touch her even on the holi day.

To me the biggest danger to Khushi came during the Arnav's kidnapping track when Arnav wasn't there to ward off Shyam's advances. The entire family aren't aware of his true colours and kept throwing the two in each other's company. If I were in K's place I would be living in fear every single day at the impending danger lurking in the house. It is another matter that K herself sought out Shyam and lured him into believing she was interested in him so that she can save Arnav. In fact that showed just how deeply she really did love her husband.

When they made Arnav reflect all that the poor girl went through for his sake and because of him they should have devoted more time to this aspect. After all K did tell Arnav what she had to go through in the grand confrontation post the kidnapping and he is supposed to believed every word she said. I would have been happy if they had inserted a few lines where Arnav says to K, "I was so wrong in leaving you behind at the airport to the mercy of Shyam. I cannot even begin to imagine the trauma you must have gone through living under the same roof as the man who lusted after you and lying to him that you shared his feelings, all to save me. I will never ever let you face that same situation ever in your life."

They put too much weight on K's physical hurt rather than her emotional hurt when they showed the FBs relating to Arnav's remorse. This is why I was dissatisfied with the way they dealt with this delicate subject of perverted behaviour of a family member. It happens in many joint families and there are several victims who are forced to silent because of family pressures.

  41. Hello Ladies,

How are you all? I hope everyone's fine. been silently reading all your comments everyday because more than the show i love this blog really. You know what i miss? The love story that once upon a time I discovered, missing the old days when we get to watch really good romance. Nowadays I haven't been watching at all. I feel like this is not our show anymore and it feels so sad. I don't want to even remember Friday's episode. Seriously it's so horrible, it feels like watching a suspense thriller, with all the blood and the miscarriage and everything. Until then I will only read the blog. I just hope and pray that this pace of the show will pass.

God bless you all! and keep it up!
p.s. Dia, hope you had a wonderful holiday..

  42. ok...haven't watched friday's episode again and this is the first time after I wrote the post that I am accessing R&R again..

nonetheless, the friday episode still makes me utterly furious..to the extent of repeating myself and calling myself heartless, I would say that it irritated me to the core...because I feel cheated, somehow.. I was promised a love story and I am not getting that...I did NOT sign up for di-dramatics...I signed up for a love story and I WANT THAT!!!!

Just like 'Pride and prejudice' is a journey of elizabeth and darcy, the other characters are important catalysts in their story, no doubt.. but ultimately its about them..pride and prejudice wouldn't have been pride and prejudice if they had harped on jane and bingley! Similarly, IPK is NOT IPK when they ignore arnav khushi and focus instead on anjai-shyam... anjali and shyam make the STORY part of the show...but the LOVE has to be b/w the two of them, that's it..

ok ok, I get it, its about a guy who loves his sister as much as he loves his wife, who is responsible for his sister's broken marriage.. but can we move on, now please??? Pretty please??? IF ASR is going to react exactly as he reacted in february and blame khushi again, for ruining his sister's marriage, then he is dead meat for me!!! Seriously, the guy should just use his brains which we know are there, buried deep under a 10 m thick dust layer..

It kills me to see khushi in so much pain, yet again...just when her life was about to go to the normal... when I do analyse the situation in which they all are today and I see who has contributed how much for them in order to reach such a gory scenario, I always find khushi's contribution the least - the moment she found out shyam was lusting after her, she broke off all ties with him and distanced himself for her..did NOT tell the woman in question abt her husband's infidelity because she felt that would save her marriage and went on with her life, only to have her life messed up by ASR bigtime! From time to time she has thought of everybody except herself and what did she get in return? A half baked wedding, which will not be complete due to her nanad's foolishness and miscarriage.. Neither does she belong to arnav now, nor can she stay away from him... to think, they are engaged, but they aren't married completely because the marriage isn't complete and given the circumstances the marriage wont be complete in the near future.. unless, arnav surprises me by saying that anyway they were doing it for society's sake and now he needs khushi more than ever to help his di, so khushi has to stay with him.. which I SERIOUSLY DOUBT!

Couldn't the CVs have kept the miscarriage for later on?? Atleast let all the ArHi fans enjoy their marriage which they have been waiting for almost a yr now?! Or did they think the popularity of SaRun/ArHi as jodi is soooo huge that people will watch out any stuff dished to them??!! Sorry.. this is really the limit now!! I hope tomorrow's episode brings me some hope warna its tata-bye bye IPK for me, until they bring back the love story that I signed up for..

    phew! rant over..

Right there with you on Khushi and that she deserves better. More importantly,if wwe believe the DM factor - so far many of her travails were the means to bring her closer to the chosen soulmate If she lands the worst end of the deal now - it just makes a mockery of that ..is DM on her side or just making her pay for everyone else's sins ?

But from the story angle, I have a feeling they are going the Beauty and the Beast way - Gaston turns everyone against the Beast and Belle has to come back and redeem him...

If that plays out, shyam comes in , turns everyone in
the family to his side, against ASR, ASr retreats to his peetal bartan and it is left to Khushi to restore ASR - both in his own eyes and the family's

But I am not sure I have the stomach for so much misery all round...there is no scope for romance or lighter moments at all..TRPs will sink faster than the titanic..

Trust me, I am the first one who erupted during the kidnap drama when K had to go around enticing Shyam. I went to the extent of saying they should do a 'nach basanti nach' type scenario so the hero gets to know what she went through for him. He DOES NOT yet, I feel he will, in course of time.
I feel ASR WILL NOT ALLOW KKG and Shyam under the same roof.

Written update of Gul's iv. Just found it cute.
They are talking about Shyam coming back to RM, so I take it that Khushi will not stay in RM- takes care of 'not under the same roof'.NO ONE can tolerate that.

'It happens in many joint families and there are several victims who are forced to remain silent because of family pressures.':
What happens in real life when the victim complains to the elders?
Believe it or not- mothers tell them to keep quiet about it and stay away from the perpetrator. It is a rare occurrence when the victim gets justice.Right now they are showing what happens in real life 90% of the time- sad, but true. Not justifying 'that', I agree it should be handled in the idealistic way. May be they will, later.

      Delete
    4. Gul's iv : I wrote cute, because of her views on the actors, not the story line.

      Delete
    5. Su,

All the more reason the show should have shown what should be the response of the victim and her family not just what happens in such cases. That is why I felt disappointed in Nani not being forceful in her support of Arnav when he said he cannot have Shyam back in this house. Nani was trying to shut Arnav up rather than openly support him. The reason for Arnav's resistence to Shyam's re-netry was also not cealry spelt out. It is not only for the safety of his sister but also for the safety of his would-be wife. I know Dadi cares two hoots for Khushi but that should not have stopped him from spelling out his concern for K's safety. Why should this show not be about that rare instance when the victim gets justice? The fact that they had not given due importance to this aspect of the story telling shows that the PH have not really learnt from their past mistakes. Why open up a can of worms if you cannot clean it up properly?

I have not seen the serial Geet, but from what you guys say about her forgiving her BIL --- ARGH --- I agree that this is a love story within a much darker collage background, but Shyam does not deserve to be FORGIVEN AT ALL....not on screen, nor off screen for perpetrators like him! Come on SP/PH - nayi soch hai then let's have some REAL justice here!!!

  43. just watched the reruns of all the late Jan to early feb episodes - and have come to one conclusion - our poor CVs suffer from short term memory loss - how could people who made those scene - sangeet, the ambulance moment, the bangle fight, the discussion b/t akash and asr, the pre terrace scenes (also the holi scenes & HR)- forget all this as they move forward?
how could they forget all this and then get ODB to tell his sister that he fell in love with KKG post his wedding - what crap - these guys need to see their own reruns!!! - ODB if you were not in love with KKG what was all that?? and why the anger at her for(supposedly) loving someone else?? - TF was cheating - technically, she was not - as in she was not married or committed - then why the anger? then why the trauma ?

my point being - till then the CVs knew their game - even the wedding was planned def. as part of the show - but somehow things started going downhill from there - not in terms of major tracks - but when small yet imp loops were not closed - such as asr telling his sister he fell in love with KKG later!

Also the Cvs can create a crescendo but the climax is always disappointing in terms of 'dhamaka' - eg the manao KKG track - the final talk left much to be desired - it was one episode too short

For the future - i have a feeling that ODG will be the one to get Shyam back - once everyone has been told by ASR that shyam is not coming back - KKG will be the only one who can convince him to let Shyam in for Anji's sake! - and of course then ODB will be left grinding his teeth and getting mad and loosing any and every semblance of his 'shtir demagh!"

    1. Mona,
Agree with the PH's STML ..

And frankly if they get KKG to convince ASR to bring Shyam back - I am swearing off this serial...

How can KKG let the person who attempted to murder ASR into the house...

I know the PH has to get Shyam back in - but other than Dadi , if anyone else drives that decision - I am off cannot handle the amnesia of supposedly smart people...and since that seems inevitable , I guess my spamming R&R is also going to be short lived...:)

    2. Mona,

Ofocurse ASR was in love with Khushi before the wedding. He said the love came later to his Di because he knew that is what she wanted to hear at the time. Moreover the night he married K he was furious with her and thought he married her to protect his siter's marriage. It is only living with her 24 hours did he rediscover his love for her. So he was not entirely lying and the CVs did not have any memory loss. This is how they wanted it played out. ASR saying half trouth because (a) he wanted his Di to feel his marriage had nothing to do with love and (b) that is what he himself believed.

I agree the CVs dont close loops and even if they do, they don't do a good job of it like how they underplayed Shyam's harrassment of K in RM. As I told Su in a reply, they did not show Arnav remorsely for the danger he exposed her to by not believing her over Shyam. As I said there, he should have told Khushi, "I was so wrong in leaving you behind at the airport to the mercy of Shyam. I cannot even begin to imagine the trauma you must have gone through living under the same roof as the man who lusted after you and lying to him that you shared his feelings, all to save me. I will never ever let you face that same situation ever in your life."

I also agree with you that CVs ruin the climaxes after a good build up.

  44. aagghhh - wrote such a big post and deleted it my mistake - uff!!

ok quickly - have a really busy day today

I agree with most of you that the PH has its flaws but i disagree on your take on KKG's character -
Actually the CVs have been very fair to her - oh yes there are instances where she is dumbed down a bit or they put in comedy where it is not required - but her charter always remains intact - she is a 'do-er' - always fighting for her family and loved ones - always 'doing something' for them - darti hai par karti hai - ok at times she is naive but then that is her character - she is naive yet street smart by turns - her age is her excuse for the 'naivety' and her past, hard times yet very good upbringing is the reason for her being a strong woman taking on far more than she can handle and yet delivering against it - so no, she has not been crucified by the PH (thank GOd!)

Its ASR who has been - too many times to be repeated here -
The SP serials are undergoing a change in general with the male leads doing something worthwhile apart from standing behind their wives while a full fledged saan bahu type scene is going on - AND to be fair - the PH has given ASR more importance than most shows do to their leads (from what i hear) - but his character they have never been able to maintain - his character has been assassinated too many times!
So this shatir demagh wala businessman - the ruthless, calculating, builder of his own destiny, go-getter who had a very troubled past and those shadows still pull him into a black world of mistrust and cynicism - this guy who had a heart of gold hidden behind the dark exterior needed a woman like KKG to bring it out - to change from the cynic to the believer (in life, love etc) - BUT have the PH allowed his character to grow in this way? his journey has been very disjointed - so this smart guy sees the only woman he ever loved with another man - understandable he looses it - ok - what then? why no follow up ? what were his plans post 6 months? why no follow up after Holi when he knew she was speaking the truth? why no follow up on TF? apart from stopping his payment - why no follow up on his - "shuro say iraday kharab they!"? - the family developed amnesia about the kidnapping - but why did he? why no followup on what TF could have done? - (cant remember all the other instances i just wrote a while ago :()
in short - the CVs have never allowed him to develop as a character - to follow up on his story line - they have just not used him well (and i don't mean use his 'hotness quotient to rope in the female audience' type use - i mean the development of character type use)
so to me - its ASR they have not done justice to

AS for KKG bringing in TF (like i said earlier) - i think she will! and yet stay in character - see she is the one who HAS to do something for her family when they are in trouble (remember her way of trying to help payal and akash post kidnapping?) - and so DI will be all imp - Plus she now knows ASR inside out - knows he loves her, believes her and trusts her - she has no fears there - she will tell ASR (who has told one and all that TF will never come back) that they need to concentrate on Di and them being together is good enough for her.
BUT just another thought - what if the CVs throw us a googly - and ASR wanted TF back for Di and KKG refuses - will be too radically different from the SP serials in general - so i guess that wont happen

    1. Mona,

I agree K's character has not been butchered but she also ends up suffering for no fault of hers. Yes, A's character has not been properly developed and it is his inaction which is causing problems for K.

As to K asking him to bring in Shyam, for me it is unacceptable. She knows that the man tried to kill Arnav for the wealth. What guarantee is there he will not try it again especially since Arnav had humiliated him? Since he is still in his wife's good books, he can finish off A and get Anj to hand over the property to him. She will do anything for her family, right but will she risk Arnav's life for Di's happiness? I think (and hope) not.

In fact I think that Arnav will be too numbed to act one way or other. We may see the 'peethal barthan' moment as he may blame himself for not being there to take care of his Di. He will just withdraw into his shell. The rest of the family will be so worried about Anj they do not notice Arnav's pain. Khushi is the only one who can see it and she may try to bring him out of it. Now at this point Garima's past may come out. The way this could play out is if Garima comes to see Anj in the hospital(after all she is the sister of two of her damaads). Dadi who would have just stepped out to get medicines or something returns and sees her. They may have a showdown which K may witness. Dadi may threaten to tell the rest of the family, including Arnav, about who Garima really is. K may decide that in the interest of protecting her foster mother and also to prevent the Raizadas from going through more pain because of the revelation, particularly Arnav who is already shattered by what happened to his Di, it is better that she leaves with her parents to Lucknow. So K, Garima and Shashi may leave the city. Arnav may withdraw further into his shell (K's loss does not register in his mind) and may drive away without explanation. Dadi may decide to bring back Shyam for Anj's sake.

Arnav's aimless driving brings him to Lucknow, to Sheeshmahal where he relives his past. Khushi too will come there as she wants to understand what really transpired there all those years back and they will have their meeting there with the shadows of the past looming large. Arnav finally breaks down and pours out his woes as Khushi holds on to him in understanding. Khushi realises that there has been a hell of a lot of misunderstanding which has resulted in so much pain for the siblings and digs further to prove Garima's innocence and set to rest the ghosts of the past for Arnav. Initially she may attempt to do it on her own but gets reprimanded by Arnav and together they try to unearth the past. This brings back Arnav's chacha into the picture and we may get a full blown track on the past.

When the past mysteries are solved Arshi return to RM to find that Shyam is completely in control of the whole household and the rest of the family including Anj lives in fear of him. How they will regain entry into RM with Akaash and Payal helping them from the inside can be the next track and the end of which Shyam can be succeffully ousted by getting him handed over to the police.

Future tracks can be introduced later when Arshi are well and trully married.

How can we think so much alike?

    3. Su,

If the CVs remember their own story, they would try to weave in the 'peethal barthan' moment into the current scheme of things. We had not seen this moment playing out in the earlier instance. A shock of the magnitude of this miscarriage may be what will bring it on. It can also explain why Arnav allows Shyam back. I feel Arshi need to get back to Sheeshmahal for the past to play out. It will also make it more dramatic.

    4. Opti,
What is the 'peetal bartan' moment?
I used to think that was RTR in relation to Khushi!

You've described it wrt Anjali. And yes, it explains ASR. I think he will be forced to take care of his sister's needs if Anji loses her mental balance.(This time I want her to go MUTE.I don't want a SINGLE TEAR DROP. That should scare everyone more than 'inhone' 'unhone' and rubbish. And makes better sense to the viewers too.)

Wrt K or Anji- does not matter either way .
Just...peetal bartan... is it a phrase or something?

      Delete
    5. Exactly with u on this Opti....

Su,The issue is that the Cvs have not been playing out characteristics of the main players consistently....

ASR - he is more than a smart lover (full points to him there) but he is a shatir dimag - but where has it really been in evidence....all thru...and i am not talking about the time when he was gobsmocked with the terrace scene...we were upset at his frozen brain cells but accepted it as a man so much in love that tat reason is beyond his means....

we had hoped for some glimpses during the kidnapping track but that didn't happen but we still accepted it as a need for the truth to come out in the "trust" way rather than a cut and dried proof approach....all fine till now...

he comes back and the slapgate happens...he says believes Khushi, then shouldn't he believe that VLR is dangerous and is not going to nurse his pain after those 2 slaps....what a tame end to that high point in the drama...

Couldnt the Cvs have shown some part of the ASR brain ticking...OK let him be thwarted in his attempts but show his logical brain.....if they could spend epis showing K and NK looking at a pen drive, why couldn't they spend epis showing some action for ASR's brain...teekh hain, let him not succeed but show him make the effort

and i am not talking of those CC bills, and the wire checking done by him....it was really too little too late in my view...I hated that the friday episode happened in RM house....it should have happened in neutral territory making some of those horrendous things that happen a wee bit believable.

I can accept that the villain in a story will continue to succeed against a hero for as long as necessary for the script but it is almost unpardonable to show up a hero as a dimwit...which is wat ASR is now.....and my apologies to anyone who thinks differently about ASR at the moment....

And for the moment i am not even going to the Anji character...thats another long story.....

      Delete
    6. Su,

Peethal barthan is a reference to Naniji's narration of an incident from Arnav's childhood to Khushi during the kidnapping track. She said that Anjali wanted to eat icecreams and did so, inspite of the fact that it wasn't good for her. She got a lot of scoldings from her mom when she fell sick. Arnav felt guilty for not being able to prevent his Di from getting scolded or falling sick and as repentence hid himself in a brass vessel. No one could get him out for hours.

Now we have not seen Arnav withdraw into his shell completely even after the truth about Shyam was known and after the incident when Di tried to harm herself because all along there was something to look forward to, the birth of Di's child which, according to Arnav could bring back Di's lost happiness. Now with the loss of the baby, there is nothing which will hold Di together. She has lost everything- her husband she worshipped and her baby all of them made her look forward to.

The fact that it happened right under his nose and he couldn't stop it will kill him. So I think he will just withdraw into a shell and may be try to escape from the place. Yes, Di needs him but he may get too numbed to think of it that way and instead may be overwhelmed by his pain and guilt to look beyond that. So basically it could be a case of both the siblings going through an intense shock which numbs their senses. While one stops reacting, the other may try to escape from the situation.

    7. Su,
U have asked about the peetal ka bartan moment and i remember telling u that Sandy will explain...phir hum sab bhul gaya...

      Ok i will attempt it...
During the time when Arnav was kidnapped, there was this first day when Khushi misses Arnav a lot and Nani comes to her room and offers to sleep in their room....Nani starts off by telling some childhood tales of Arnav...the most important that they focussed on was of a time when Anji wanted to have an ice-cream which she had forbidden to have one.....she ended up having it and was punished for her disobedience but Arnav being Arnav was upset and went to hide in a peetal ka bartan....Khushi pauses to ask nani why did Arnav do that...and Nani explains that "chotte toh chotte jab jab woh kisse se yaar karte hain aur unke liye kuch kar nahin sakthe toh ....

and it goes on....that Chotte does not think of the pain that he feels but is more pained by what his di undergoes.....

Su, this has a important point of that story...and we had expectations of it playing out in some form and perhaps the real time is today....but i thot, like I think Opti did, that some of those points when this could have been shown have gone past...if this is a love story...well if it is really not a love story then today may be just the time for that peetal ka bartan...again Anji is at fault and she has harmed herself, arnav could not do anything for her so here comes the peetal ka barthan.....

    8. Hey Su,

Both Opti and I attempted the peetal ka bartan and both of us agree that today is the time for it....

    9. Opti, Rekha,

Thanks a lot. This was an episode I missed.
And this is an IMPORTANT insight into ASR's cahracter.

Awww.... Arnav did that? Cho chweet....
I mean, that really is sweet, yaar. I want to hug this character- or whoever thought this up.

Hmm...Now I am joining you both in waiting for the peetal ka bartan moment.
Yep, if it has to happen, this is the best time for it.

So, basically, the great Arnav Singh Raizada has this escapist attitude also! This is VERY INTERESTING!
I can't wait to see how this guy is going to react.

      Delete
    10. Oh and this: "jab jab woh kisse se yaar karte hain aur unke liye kuch kar nahin sakthe toh ...."- does not specifically say Di though the childhood incident was in relation to her.

Let me say this: if he is going to hide himself and become an empty shell, let him do it when Anjali is in peril.
If he shows this INACTION when Khushi needs him-....... Grrrr..... that will not be sweet any more.

    11. Back again, Peetal bartan.
      WHAT? WT!
It is cho chweet for a kiddo, when a full grown man attempts it... it is plain weird. Almost makes him sound like Anjali.

Stand up and TAKE CHARGE, man...at least after one episode...
Let VLR do all the hiding and Anji do all the crying and self-blaming...

      Delete
    12. ASR is the biggest escapist....that has come out brilliantly....I suppose that was meant by the CVs too...

So the shatir dimaagi mein toda conflict hota hain....

In fact, when he pleaded to DD to let us be....it was one side of escapism....which is why i feel that unless ASR confronts his past and lays those ghosts to rest....we are likely to see peetal ka barthan, and some flashes of venting out from him at his loved ones...read Khushi included...Its a warped way of showing love but some people vent the most with the ones they love the most..there is no way to defend it becos one has to decide what is abuse and what is love....a viewer sensibilities can be different on this issue tho...

      Delete
    13. Rekha,
      I love your point here.
"unless ASR confronts his past....":I am with you totally on this.
Because that night when ASR burst out about his past to Khushi was not complete- he still refused to share his entire past with her- just because she let him be.
It is high time he learned to open up to her COMPLETELY.

"some people vent the most with the ones they love the most..there is no way to defend it becos one has to decide what is abuse and what is love...":
OK. Now, I can understand him if he does that- uses Khushi as a punching bag as the first response.(I don't think he will do it- more likely he will blame himself)

I believe you'll vent out with the person you are most comfy with- because you know that person will love you no matter what- you have nothing to hide from that particular person.

I feel this is why spouses end up hurting each other the most and if you have an understanding spouse who KNOWS why you are doing it, well, YOU ARE LUCKY!

I totally love this imperfect ASR, he has lots more to learn.

      Delete
    14. Yes....I am not saying that Arnav will vent to Khushi but the narrative is probably laying some justification for a track of the kind where the past will have to be confronted soon

At the time of the Khushi OTT track....while many of us couldnt get the point of it, but that was the build-up to the trust track, of how u build understanding and yes in hindsight it made complete sense..becos all said and done....u may fall in love with a person, yet u know more of that person only after living with the person.......

Yet, when the Di-harming the baby charade happened, we saw an Arnav lash out at Khushi only to repent quickly...so while the words were harsh and some of us couldnt just take it....we made peace with the ensuing track becos it showed an Arnav genuinely regretting the moment.....

But at the base of it, embers of the past are still active....and they have the ability to threaten Arnav who has shown signs of burying by simply lashing out....an attitude of aggressiveness not necessarily a closure to things, it seems...his pleas to move on are real, he wants to move ahead but the chains of the past can shackle him as well....

Well lets see...but i hope the Cvs show some aspect of the Shyam thot process not the stupid revision FBs that they have resorted to...

On Anji, i have nothing to say further becos i guess all my faculties are exhausted in reading her

Did you read Doodle on this episode?
She has woven a fantastic tale- I don't believe all of it- nevertheless it is fascinating and a nice read.I think at least some of it may be true. And less confusing this time around.(loved the part where she talks about ASR sabotaging a girl's dignity- something I have felt over and over again- that he'll end up paying for it big time- the reason why I felt from the beginning that this marriage is not going to happen now.)
Read Tanthya and others too if you feel up to it - brilliant takes by these ladies!

"May be because the only thing that attracted me to this serial was my reading of Khushi as a strong, determined, righteous, responsible heroine who will do whatever it takes for her family albeit with funny quirks...the fluff covered a strong core.":

Sri, I am not trying to counter you. I am saying the same thing as you.

"Khushi started getting more and more clearer as we kept writing her. She is so full of life. It was Gul (producer Gul Khan)'s idea that she cooks when she is stressed. She is someone who is scared, but still musters courage because she knows Devi Maiyya is with her. She is so clumsy and ends up goofing around. She is not miss perfect. I liked these 2 lines the dialogue writer Hitesh Kewalya wrote- Di, ek jawaab ke saath do sawaal mere liye muft kyun aate hai/ and har problem pe Khushi Kumari Gupta ka naam kyun likha hota hai...' I think that pretty much sums up how she is. Our darling Chamkeeli!"

This is the maker's take(I think Gautam Hegde or Arshad Khan wrote this) on Khushi. Can't get the link now. I CP-ed it sometime back.

    Like you said,

THE FLUFF COVERS A STRONG CORE. (The fluff will always be there.)

    1. Su,
As long as the core makes its presence felt and is consistent, the fluff is entertaining...when the core is compromised then the fluff is just that - fluff

We have not seen the core assert itself in a long time -except when she left home over the contract..the way they depicted her return on RB made mincemeat of that core..why did she come back for 10 days- what changed ? we had to assume that she understoood ASR wanted her for keeps - but most of my friends read it as she came back cos she did not want to face her parents with divorce and contract marriage and deferred the showdown for 10 days...we need the writers to define her actions better...

ASR is an escapist from the begining, it comes out in various behaviors, refusing to acknowledge guilt/wrongdoing , refusing to accept his feelings for Khushi, refusing to confront Khushi or Di on Shyam...heck he lets Khushi do all the fighting exposing Shyam watching as she was being lambasted and refusal to confront he family with the dirty facts.

I was watching old episodes and realised ASR has done "di is hurt because of you " not once but twice before- the first time she goes missing on RB he does the same thing..So if KKG convinces ASR to bring Shyam in , and something goes wrong, ASR can do it yet another escapist pass the buck ...

And please, venting if it takes the form of abuse is sickening - a marriage between an escapist and a masochist is not something most want to watch...

Come on CT give us something better:)

haye re nandkisore!! matlab less of ArHi for the coming weeks!!! I wonder how they are gonna manage.. most importantly, is this why they brought this twist soo suddenly?? Because the fcus could be shifted to anjali and her tragedy... but even then, Arnav HAS to be there!! They can manage off without khushi but definitely NOT arnav... I hope they have shot a bunch of episodes in advance with them ... some people on IF are hoping ArHi have their honeymoon in London!! *headdesk* really, how delusional can people be - in this scenario a wedding seems improbable and they are thinking/hoping for a honeymoon!! God!! I feel for the CVs sometimes...the kind of audience they cater too..really, ridiculous!!

But I am still skeptical about the future turn the CVs r gonna take ... I really have no clue how they will manage without both Barun and Sanaya AND make some kind of sane track for one whole week.. :S

good thing is, they are going via the channel so the falling TRPs (which are a given when sarun are not going to be imp part of the coming episodes) will not bother either the PH or the channel..

there was another spoiler on FB that arnav will break down in front of khushi and will seek comfort from her..but somehow I can't believe that spoiler too, because its the same source that had suggested that khushi will get hurt instead of anjali and we got the exact opposite! :S

soo, to think of it, I am worried actually...because the opposite of this spolier is something I've been afraid of and will not want to see at any cost..

    5. Mads, i felt better when i read that arnav will break down in front of khushi and seek her comfort....

the fact that whenever Shyam has attempted something to drift ArHi apart, it has only bought them closer, is playing strongly in my mind, right now.......so i think this spoiler happening is very much possible.....

piecing 2-3 spoilers together, my speculation is that initially Arnav might withdraw himself and Khushi will try to reach out, but wont succeed much......then Dadi suggest to postpone the wedding as the timing isnt suitable for a celebration (as it is she doesnt want Khushi as her bahu)
Khushi thinking of Arnav's fragile mental state agrees....at this point Arnav lashes out at Khushi for agreeing to postpone....she tries to reason with him, but he doesnt listen......more heart break for both of em.... then something happens, which triggers him to take the pheras and complete the wedding....it wont be the celebratory types....but atleast the rituals will be complete....and Nani will push them to complete the rituals....as per the mehendi dance symbolism, also the hospital hand holding symbol.....

  50. Much as i complain and rant about the tracks unfolding.....i can never ever get the brilliance of the love story that they have shown between Ar and Kh over the year or so. out of my head....

Absolute brilliance.....i just have to see some old epis and the magic refuses to die down whichever way i look it.....Ah so much for my ranting....ARHI's magneticism refuses to die down.......

Jhapping again...this is all fiction this is all fiction if i have to retain a shred of sanity in my life...
