Treachery from within ... so Dadi had been sent by Shyam after all ... not anonymously, but with pretty little lies and smooth talking ... something Shyam is so good at. No wonder Dadi is so dead set against Khushi ... It was all a big misunderstanding ... how exactly did Shyam manage to convince Dadi that his getting engaged to Khushi was a misunderstanding? Of course - he didn't ... he repeated the same story he told Anjali .. Khushi tried to trap him first, failed, and then trapped Arnav in her web ...
Dadi is a pretty stupid woman, I must say ... believing her unknown damaadji over her own grandson and her childhood best friend. Seems to run in the family ... her granddaughter is the world's most gullible, brainless fool. And Anjali continues to dig her own grave deeper and deeper, lying to more and more people at every step ... NK joins the list today ...
And Shyam is just using Dadi, waiting for the big day. Now what is he up to?
And why the heck does Dadi want Shyam back in the house ... if she's so convinced of his innocence, she should tell Anjali to stop staying in her maayka and go off with her husband to her own sasural ... why is Anjali continuing to sponge off her brother like a parasite? Itna hi pyaar hai toh go live with your KP ... and his empty pockets!

I do feel his plans will all come to nothing :) Seeing as he is up against Arnav, Khushi and Devi Maiyya all firmly allied together ... Devi Maiyya even gets Mother Nature to do her bidding ... so trains to Lucknow are all cancelled, and there is no escape for Garima. Much to Khushi and Buaji's delight and Garima's worry ...another set of family secrets here, another set of lies, but here for a different reason, for an unselfish cause, a mother worrying that her own mistakes might darken the future of both her her adopted daughters ... neither one her own child, but both as dear to her as her own.
Cute conversation between Khushi and Payal, devrani-jethani :) ... as one set of siblings drifts apart, another set bonds even more closely, and Devi Maiyya's army gets aligned into position.
Khushi did tell Payal about SG leaving ... but didn't actually get round to telling her their plan got cancelled. And Khushi consoles Garima about her cancelled trip ... telling her that Devi Maiyya is asking Garima to stay.
And the main bond gets stronger and stronger ... love, trust, understanding, being there for each other ... Khushi gets ready to do something for Arnav, calls him to meet her, an order issued 'haq se' ... and reinforced almost immediately with a more hesitant request ... 'you will come, won't you?' :) ... not fully sure of her position yet, not completely ... but getting there ...
Of course he will ...he loses no time to reassure her of her status in his life ... right up there on top with his Di ...
Another set of sibling bonds strengthening, this one with the ever-faithful NK ... more power to the DM army ...
Di is going to tumble from that pedestal ... hopefully pretty soon ;) ... her lies are piling up and digging at the foundation of that pedestal ...
And hopefully soon Khushi will be the sole Queen of his life. And when the betrayal comes from the person he loved the most almost all his life, he's going to need Khushi to help pick up the pieces ...

can I actually say that I hate anji more than dadi??? ok, don't throw chappals at me, but when dadi said "hum sirf aapki aur arnav ki khushi chahte hain", I have a faint hope that once she knows of the truth, she will support arnav?? :S coz now it looks as if shyam has filled her ears just like he did anji's... and dadi actually doesn't know ONE SINGLE thing.. she was not here during anji's wedding, neither was she here when khushi used to hang around..or she is smart enough to spot loopholes (to give her that credit).. hence its obvious she will believe the truth the way she hears.. so can we hope she switches sides??? or is it hoping for too much.. in arnav's words, even after knowing the truth, she will side with shyam - "dadi wohi dekhti hain jo woh dekhna chahti hain"

I have seen the precap scene online almost 5 times now...
Rekhs and Sama...to bring in some positivity, precap showed that shyam saw ArHi moving OUT of the hotel...meaning, uptil that time, the two couples are completely oblivious of each other.. so probably we CAN hope.. and obviously Mr and Mrs Snake Jha wouldn't want Mr and Mrs ASR to see them, so they will have sneak out or whatever.. so its THEIR date that is spoilt, not ous ODC's!! *muahahahhahahhahahah* :D :D

On a side note - so she believed shyam's story about how all of this was a huge MU...has shyam told her all about khushi too?? hence, her cold behaviour towards khushi?? now that's understandable.. so she believed shyam, she believed that khushi staged up the whole thing for whatever reasons.. or MUed shyam's intentions..and arnav believed khushi over shyam.. and that's why arnav is MU-ing shyam.. can explain her anger towards khushi now..
Deleteand when she is trying to draw parallels from the past, it COULD mean the following -
1. Sr Mallik was lusting after/attracted to other woman and she caught him but due to her "ladke toh kuch bhi kehte hain/karte hain" attitude, she blames the "other woman"...other woman being, Garima..and swears her to lie and say that the whole thing was her idea...she complies and is forced to leave for the reputation of the Malliks
2. Sr. Mallik actually loved only and only his wife..and garima was probably just working for him and grossly MU-ed by arnav, hence dadi was right in siding with Sr. Mallik then..being a 14 yr old, he created quite a ruckus abt it, since he didn't know how to react..and again, garima was forced to lie and leave the society for the reputation of Malliks..
somehow garima comes face to face with Malliks on Anji's wedding day, causing anji's mother to commit suicide (I have no qualms in imagining that now, after looking at how anji has turned out).. she could be that weak, after all.. and dadi was prob right in saying she didn't own up to her responsiblities..
in both the cases, Arnav would hold his dad responsible for creating a rift in the household.. but if it was the first case, then arnav was right in saying "main tab bhi sahi tha aur aaj bhi sahi hoon" , if its the second case, he is not..
in all seriousness, if they have indeed brought up the subject of the past, then they might as well show arnav MU-ing his dad, leading to him making an internal peace with himself.. absolving garima of the mistake she never committed and putting a rest to the past..
the first case will only reiterate how pathetic ASR's dad was..and will not really solve any problem..

ASR gets ready to leave and sees Anj all doled up and offers to drop her...and tho Anji makes an excuse, Arnav insists on dropping her...when DD interrupts and says she is not going alone......end of epi

in this video, start looking carefull after 5:28..at 5:30, keep pasuing after ever split second...and in one frame you will see a slit second shot of khushi marching in ASR's office.. this was I think during the time she came up in the office and he challenged her to work for him for 24 hrs.. its the same red dress!!! :O

Second time in a row we see Arnav rummaging through his cupboard to show off his slightly improved and updated wardrobe. We got that IPK Team just as we noticed his new shows.
Ab aap logon ki full kripa Khushi par kab hogi.
Okay what was the tensed BG music in the beginning in the Arnav-NK scene. Is it to show that a fashion house owner has such limited wardrobe. We KNOWWWWW!
And it improved slightly, frankly it fell a bit flat for me....looked very hurried.

Bromance also includes AKASH. Next time include him too, don't you guys know Bromance is a track that has always been super duper hit with the audience.

Is Dadi suspecting Shyam from the beginning or will she realize her mistake and Use him to Expose him?
Ooooooh, This just got interesting as Dadi said, I am here only for your and Arnav's happiness.
Quick Pointers:
Does RM look like a Shaadi ka ghar and I DO not mean Recycled decorations, where is the excitement in the family that Arnav is getting married?
Where are the emotional moments shared by the elders on Arnav and Khushi getting married, I am seeing it in Gupta House. Why not in Nani, Mami, Akash?
Bring these small family moments writers, they will be much appreciated.

Can we have an Arnav-Akash scene - where both reminisce about their own love story and marriage.
How abotu Payal and Akash discussing and getting excited about their siblings marriage as to how they used to fight each other and how they are getting married fighting against all odds.

On dadi- she has this aura of 'SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS' which I hate.
She does things by the book and therefore she believes she is right. She will look down on people trying to hide facts and she will uphold people who seem to have no problems to come out with the truth. Right now she trusts Shyam because he approached her in all humility and was 'honest'with her.
Beyond that, I really don't feel she has any plans to throw a googly.

'Dadi will be OK OK': She is neither hot nor cold for me. I don't love her or hate her.(I love nani, Garima and Buaji even though I don't agree with their methods. May be I'll like dadi better later on in the show.) I thought this is what mishti meant by ok- ok. I could be totally wrong,just that I don't have high hopes from a lady like dadi.
Loved, loved, loved today's epi............the story moved forward and we got a hint of future plans.........so DamadJi is planning a dhamaka, most likely around wedding time so that he can ensure that it does not take place - hopefully DM will take care of such obstacles :))) .... I still can't figure out what Garima's role in the whole Malik MU is, other than that she covered up for someone by lying to DD & perhaps to others also.....Shyam is the catalyst in this story and as a lawyer from Lucknow, it would be very easy for him to unearth the details and use them to his advantage. From the hints that we got today, it looks like Shyam is going to endanger Anjali's life (alongiwth that of his unborn baby)to gain entry into RM; we may, also, not have heard the last of ASR's famous will.....I can only think of Anjali's life being in danger as the only reason that ASR will walk out of RM (with Khushi) and take up residence in GH, his wife's maika....kinda like the ongoing mirror reflection theme of this serial ....Damaadjis in their maika, but what a difference between the two! Which makes me think that the bro-sis rift is imminent and BFTP gets postponed once again....

Didn’t understand why he hid behind the curtain for so long then. Another mind game by the CVs?
On hindsight, the thurs epi was an absolute filler.
It was A ZERO episode, I feel.
1. Anji’s meds were changed, we thought Shyam’d be unaware of it- now he knows.
2. Garima tried to run away, did the CVs keep her because I ranted on and on? (*sheepish grin* Sama, we both learned a lesson this week. If you want something or don’t want something, rant on it all through the day. Someone will notice it and grant our wishes!!! )
So anyway, Thursday was just a zero epi in terms of story movement. I still liked the GH interaction even though I did not agree with Garima’s methods.I guess her methods have not changed, she will still try to hide.
On to Fri:
Two thoughts.
A. Shyam- Empty promises as usual, creepwa?
Sigh…. I am watching you like a hawk again.
If you don’t deliver this time, I am totally washing my hands off you, which I’ll be very GLAD TO! But you did succeed in getting ASR to MU Khushi for 5months (it runs in the family- now dadi and Anji are the willing targets) and managed to kidnap ASR too…
I liked it that they gave us a monologue by Shyam. It was nice of you, CVs. Nothing specific, but we have 2 monologues now.
1. I’ll never let K & ASR unite.
2. I’ll do something to Rani Sahiba that when she demands I be there for her no one can refuse her.
Based on this I feel Shyam will have a 3 pronged approach now.
1. MU theory and probably accuse Khushi later.
2. Play Anji card by harming her or the baby.
3. Dadi- Garima complication which when he becomes aware of (if he does not already know about it- past Lucknow connection?) he will use in his favour.
B. dadi- nani- Garima.

I respect dadi for this one thing: She initited the convo on Shyam many times. She did not feel the need to keep it a secret and brought it up many times.

Sadly, this is what ASR WANTED TOO! If only nani had listened to him.
Nani: wants to give it more time. She thinks she has time. Let Anjali bitiya settle for some more time, then I’ll explain everything to Sumi, because it is a long story and I know how stubborn she can be if I don’t give her proof for everything! I love you nani, I wish you would talk to dadi before she gets more and more misguided.
Garima- sweet, helpless mother- I can understand her hands are tied. But, what is she planning to do? Is she planning to come out in the open any time or will she wait for dadi to find her out?
If that happens dadi will raise a question, “So you purposely hid from me and tried to get my pauta married to your niece. I don’t approve of this lying secretive nature that you have, woman. Based on your behaviour, what can I say about your daughter’s behaviour? Is it even a surprise that she lived with my pauta without taking the pheras and when I have to choose between daamadji who came to me with the truth and the daughter of a woman who tries to cheat my pauta and my family, whom should I believe?”- big dhamaaka!
Is Shyam aware of this huge parallel track blessing that is awaiting him?

I don't remember if it was in reply to you, I wrote this at the beginning of the track.
ASR should not be spending all his time at home (romancing wife and pampering di)and at work. He should use his shatir dimag to find out what Shyam was up to and should not have let him go like that. I also said I'll not blame him if Shyam gets the upper hand again because di and Khushi took up all his time.
So if Shyam gets away this time too, next round is ASR's- he will take revenge for what Shyam did to his di and his wife.
Do thapad- in a bigger way! I am waiting for that ASR.

DeleteFor me, there is no question about him not forgiving his sister. Khushi has forgiven everyone who has misunderstood her. He will too. Not just because he has learned from Khushi- but also, I feel for 2 more reasons.
1. The strong bro- sis bond.(I want this to be the strongest reason.)
2. He himself allowed to be misled by Shyam, and hence he cannot judge Anjali for trusting Shyam, especially since he made that big mistake of keeping his sister in the dark from the beginning. He did it in her best interests, but it is going to backfire now. He has not told her the whole story even now.
Much like how Garima will learn what she did in the best interests of Khushi is going to backfire on her.

Anji does not say yet, "Chhote, you threw my hubby out without proof. Therefore I'll not so easily agree to you marrying Khushiji who is the one who brought this whole MU." She participates in the wedding celebs wholeheartedly. She is truly happy for Chhote even when she believes without a doubt that he was unfair to her husband.
Similarly, I feel ASR will not take this as betrayal. He may not say, "You chose to believe your creepwa hubby over your smart brother who did all this only for you. I did not expect this treachery from you, dear sis."- I feel it will not be this way. He will UNDERSTAND that his sister has a pea-sized brain (he should know at least this about her) and therefore accept it that he has to provide her with proof, since he himself demanded it from Khushi.(Serves him right!)
He also knows how MANIPULATIVE Shyam is since he has convinced dadi too this time around. He will not take it as betrayal, but will be deeply sorrowed. But there will be no dent in the bro- sis or dadi- pauta relationship. I feel he will understand why they both believe what they believe and love them all the same. At least this is what I hope to see.

Jaya, yes. I also saw ASR, thats what got me so excited on the video. The song, OFC, listened to it a lot during college days. Loved rediscovering it.
Ages ago I had made post about the IPKKND characters being chess pieces with Arnav and Shyaam being the Black and White King respectively and Khushi and Anjali being the Black and White Queen respectively....looks like the game is back on after a lull.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw NK very adorably teasing Arnav about Black being his attire of choice and then saw Khushi looking drop dead gorgeous in her black suit (A Black Sari for her was a personal shiddat;-)) I immediately remembered my Chess analogy.
(The colors also being a sort of homage to the fact that Not only is Arnav always dressed in dark colors, but also he's perceived as a cynic and the black sheep of the family who has such faith in God and society....While Shyam dons the white kurt a and plays the part of the pure and kind hearted doting husband and son-in-law)
i'm really glad Shyaam is back its always so much better with a male villain as opposed to the regular Saas hates her bahu type villain.
Shyaam started the game (as white always does) and last time round with the help of Black Queen(Khushi) and Black Knight (NK) and a little assistance from the black pawn (Payal) there was definite Check....but not a check mate and the White King retreated.
This time he's got his rook (Dadi) out to shield him (will use castling if need be) and will stay firmly out of the game using the queen and rook to make the play with back up of his wily bishop (mami) who will always side with his Queen.
Right now the players are divvied up equally...
Arnav, Khushi, Payal, NK for Black
Shyaam, Anjali, Dadi, Mai for white
Nani ever the neutral party will not hurt or be willing to sacrifice anything...
Akash ideally the 'white knight' made it pretty clear he held Khushi and to some extent Payal responsible for the mess but at the same time trusted Bhai's judgement...still a question mark on this one...
The main question is which piece will fall when Shyam makes his next move...
Its hard for the King to win the game without the queen- she's his most important ally- but the game is about defeating the King after all...wonder if Arnav will have to compromise either Khushi or Anjali to check mate Shyaam...
To find out keep watching Iss pyaar ko kya naam soon....Weekdays 8pm and repeat telecast at 11pm only on star Plus....;-)

Deleteeven when he found out abt shyam-khushi and MUed khushi, he could have easily gotten rid of khushi to ensure that di's marriage remains safe.. but by that time, he had also fallen so hard for her that he couldn't let go of her too..hence he married her... in a twisted way he did sacrifice his happiness because he was gonna live with the woman who (he thought) was having an extra marital affair with his di's husband..so he chose di's happiness over his own..but in his own selfish way..
and now, when he comes to know about di's betrayal, he won't let go of khushi all the more.. moreover, I do think this track is more about ArHi bond strengthening and a rift being created b/w the sibling bond.. or rather, how ArHi together, ensure that by the end of this track anji becomes a little more independent and the sibling bond is restored (hopefully) ..
although this time, how arnav is gonna be able to forgive anji I don't know...because khushi was MU-ed by him, so there was no question of him forgiving her..here, anjali is lying to him plainly.. its gonna be devastating for him.. :(

I still think we might get to see it in some way we are not thinking.
One scenario could be: she may not go forward as a sacrificial lamb for Anji's sake, but she might not answer any of the accusations levelled against her and let Shyam be-smirch her because she does not want the Raizadas and Guptas to know how he FORCED her to live with him. (If ASR has an accident and cannot be there to defend her. Shyam could ensure this happens.)
Basically I feel she will not distance herself from ASR willingly now for di's sake, because she knows he loves her a lot. And her going away will hurt him a lot.
Now, if she feels he will choose di and family(when Garima truth comes out)over her..... and therefore allow 'issse bhi neeche gir' ...even then ASR wouldn't let her.... which made me think of the accident scenario.
BTW, does any one know how the accident rumour came up?

After the SPA awards functions, there were rumors that Barun had signed a movie, we did not take it seriously and BAM!, WE Got a confirmation.

Don't have an explanation for that, but during the weddings, when they have four pheras, the groom leads the bride in the first three, and sits to his right, then the bride leads the groom in the fourth, and then sits to the left of the groom, signifying she is now closest to his heart.

They had a sagai, Mona, remember? When Lavanya-Arnav were also supposed to get engaged but cancelled at the last minute, and only Payash got engaged, and after that La left.

Hi gals, was away on a week long vacation abroad and am back. I see a lot of resentment of Anj and despicable as her behaviour is I can only sympathise with her and not really hate her because I believe she suffers from a personality disorder known as dependent personality disorder or DPD and urgently needs psychiatric help. Although I am not a psychologist here is what I found about this disorder in the net and Anj perfectly fits in with the description of such people.

Anj went through a major catastrophe as she just entered adulthood. Being a physically handicapped with a low self esteem to begin with, this made her regress further into a person with DPD. We know Anj is dependent on Shyam and Arnav but she is also dependent on K. This is why Anj willingly accepted Khushi after she got over her initial resentment of her. She knows K is close to Arnav whom she is dependent on. K can make Arnav do things which she herself cannot. So in effect Anj is dependent on K as well and hence she is considerate towards her. As to the lying and the betrayal, it is part of her disorder to keep her 'perfect world' rather than a conscious decision to deceive.

Lets see if the CVs have the maturity to handle such a delicate and sensitive subject once they have started it rather than make her out to be another grey character whose prime purpose in life is to make Arshi's life miserable.

here, it is evident that she knew khushi as arnav's wife /seductress..(on re-watch, even the dirty water scene has dadi observing khushi with unabashed curiosity) yet treated her like a servant.. and as someone at IF pointed out, she has no problems accepting pooja thal from HP, but made a big fuss at khushi touching it.. so she did come with preconceived notions.
anjali, on the other hand, only wants to be close to her husband.. whom she believes, was wrongly accused by her brother. in that case,she should at least ask arnav one heartfelt question..." why are you doing this to ME, you know how important he is to me.." whatever arnav's response maybe, anjali if she is white, will implore arnav for her husband's re entry to RM. grovel, in fact.
she would not need to meet him behind doors and trees, she would definitely not invite him into the house when everyone is away.. she will invite him when others are present, because she believes that he did no wrong. if she can go on strike to bring a strange worker(as khushi was, at the time of lavanya) into the house, how much more will she do to bring her own husband(wrongly accused) back into RM?
okay, shyam told his wife that arnav thinks shyam misbehaved with khushi(forget the hard evidence, if anjali did not register those)so he has been banished, should not anjali do everything in her power to remove arnav's misunderstanding? she knows arnav would do anything for her happiness.. why this hiding drama?
or, if she understands that arnav loves his wife and is immovable on his decision, she should at least try to influence nani and mami..

See, with this sort of attitude how can you expect her to ask Arnav why did he send KP out especially when he had already told her that he did it because he trusted K. It is Arnav's fault for not telling her that he himself had heard and seen that KP is a crook. Since he did not do so, she is living in denial. Her meeting KP in close doors in her bro's house does not appear wrong to her because her diseased mind does not see it that way. Her deception does not appear like deception to her because she would be justifying it to herself that she needs her husband for support at any cost and as long as no one is aware of it, it should not matter to them. This justification would have only gained more credence after she had witnessed K and A lying to her and meeting behind her back. So since they too are doing it, she too can do it. Why not confront them with their lies? Again, her DPD would explain why. Such people avoid confrontation, especially with the people whom they are dependent and we know she is dependent on both A and K. This would explain her apparent wild mood swings. She genuninely does not bear a grudge against K or A. At the same time she has not accepted her hubby is a crook. In her irrational mind all these things can co-exist. That is why I said she needs medical help ASAP.

I've been asking this Q over and over again, if Gul would want Anjali to be seen as a negative character. The answer in my mind and honestly, what I see on the screen is a big NO.
I agree with most of what you've written, though I don't know if you can classify this as a disease needing 'treatment'.It could be a personalty trait.
On personalty disorders:
These disorders typically aren't diagnosed until an individual is a young adult, often not until their 20's or even 30's. Most individuals with personality disorders lead pretty normal lives and often only seek psychotherapeutic treatment during times of increased stress or social demands. Most people can relate to some or all of the personality traits listed; the difference is that it does not affect most people's daily functioning to the same degree it might someone diagnosed with one of these disorders. Personality disorders tend to be an intergral part of a person, and therefore, are difficult to treat or "cure."
Anji is stressed, when the stress factor is over she will be more normal. You cannot change her personalty completely, though I agree, I feel she will definitely benefit from counselling.
Actually, I feel really bad for people like this. They cannot help themselves. I can only say 'poor thing'!

DeleteFrom what I have read, a personality trait is different from a personality disorder. All of us have some traits which make up our personality but it would be termed a disorder when these traits are extreme to the point of irrationality. Yes, it is difficult to distinuish it as a disorder because under normal conditions, their behaviour will not appear abnormal requiring treatment which may be the reason why no one realised she has a problem to begin with.
Gul in one of her interviews mentioned that Anjali is more damaged than Arnav. Now to me the word 'damaged' meant in terms of mental health. Yes, disorders cannot be cured but from what I read it appears that the positive side of the extreme traits these people exhibit can be enhanced through counselling. I had mentioned those traits in my earlier post.
If they are hinting at such a condition for Anj, they need to go the entire way and show its resolution. Arshi can help in this process. It need not look like a documentary if they make a story of her healing process like her finding lasting love with her counsellor or something.

Yes, she has been instrumental in getting K to RM. If you look at this decision, it is triggered from her need to ensure A does not leave the house with La as he kept threatening to. In other words, she wanted to retain her primary supporter (Arnav) and came up with this idea to ensure he remains with them. As given in the net research I undertook it conforms to what is said here. "They may go to extreme lengths to obtain nurturance and support from others, even to the point of volunteering for unpleasant tasks if such behaviour will bring the care that they need."
Also if you look at her reaction when Arnav blew the top and said that he gets to decide who stays in his house, her insecurities were apparent in her holding her knees tight. It may seem like manipulation to the common viewer to to her it does not appear so because her need to be secure in her fictional world is so strong she goes to any extent to retain it.

You are right. A general viewer finds her behaviour strange but then does it appear that she is grey? No. They keep giving us mixed signals. She appears genuinely happy to accept Khushi into the household even when she believes in her husband's innocence. Now how can both her husband and Khushi be right at the same time? A rational person, whether she is good or bad, cannot accept such a situation and will necessarily have to take sides. The only way this can be explained is if the person is suffering from some disorder as Anj seems to be. I hope when the volcano erupts and her deeds come to light they spend time delving and explaining her behaviour to the common viewer by way of some counselling sessions so that people can understand and empathise with such people.

This is what I feel.
Anjali has progressed slowly after the bad news.
1. At first she went into depression and anger.(Throwing ASR out- I loved that bit of her reaction. That was her way of telling him I cannot believe you did this to me Chhote, I don't even know what just happened back there.)
2.Next she went all out to harm the baby because she thought it will be hated like the father.(I don't know what exactly K told her- I did not watch that part- but it is pretty irritating when someone comes and tells you what to do when it is the last person you want to see at that time. I am with Anji there. She is wondering, "Does Khushi even know what I am going through, it is OK for her to tell me to get on with my life, but , It is not as simple as she thinks. And how can I believe my husband (her fbs were: him telling her that her place is not at her feet, but in his heart or something like that.) has done any wrong when no one has given me any proof. (That she does not connect the dots on the engagement....i is not her fault. It is the story writer who does not want her to think. They can happily blame it on her depressed and denial state.Plus I feel it will play as fbs when, in the end she will connect the dots) She is blind to everything else not because she is madly in love, but because SHE TRUSTS HER JUDGEMENT OF SHYAM more than Khushi's. And Chhote has been swayed by Khushi, so his mind is clouded too.
3. Then she tries to re- build her life, asking nani- "kaun sach bol raha hai"- which is a question she should have asked Chhote. Her Anjali is CLINGING on to a hope- that it is all a misunderstanding- but no one else gives her that hope.This is another form of her denial- which makes her fearful to bring it up with ASR- what if her worst fears were confirmed?
4. This is when Shyam enters with his lies. She is desperate to believe that their world- which I feel in her mind involves ASR-K and Shyanji- will remain perfect, and Shyam gives her just that. See how smart Shyam is. He does not tell her that Khushi pursued him, but now he has changed it to I MU-ed her and she MU-ed me. For the time being he will stick on to it. Again, Anji does not question him on what he told her earlier, because HE HAS TOLD HER WHAT SHE WANTED TO HEAR ALWAYS-that things will be back to normal.
5. Now she is happy. She is even more happy that Khushiji made ASR wear the Kurta for her and thanks her for it.
6. And happy to have another one of her dreams fulfilled- that of Chhote's wedding.
7. Yes, she is meeting her husband behind everyone's backs- and IT IS TROUBLING HER- she has just now expressed that she does not like it.
8. And finally, here is one more person who believes her version of the truth, so SHE CAN'T BE WRONG AFTER ALL!
IT IS ALL A SAD MU- now dadi is here and it will get cleared up.
Her world and Chhote's world will be perfect once again.

I think Anjali knows and ACCEPTS the priorities in her brother's life.

Hiding- she is not hiding this forever- already she is feeling guilty. She is thinking of how to approach this, keeping in mind the fact that ASR actually slapped his siter's husband only based on Khushi's accusations. She knows how hot tempered and stubborn her brother can be, she is just thinking about the best way to go forward. And now dadi is here, supports these clandestine meetings- SHE DOES NOT HAVE TO FEEL GUILTY ANY MORE. Dadi will take care of how to clear the MU.

I totally differ with you here and maybe that is why I stick on to the personalty trait and not a disorder.
I still see a loving sister who wanted to ensure that her lil brother upholds his family ties regardless of his modern beliefs. She did put her foot down and demanded on a proper wedding for Khushi, she could very well have sided with him or at least kept quiet if she wanted to just make him happy. Anji is trying to do what she believes is best for her brother- always. (Poor thing, ends up being MU-ed always thanks to DB.)

DeleteSu, I disagree with you on the La issue because she did not protest enough when Chottey wanted to bring her in as a live-in companion. Nani was the one dead against it.It is only after he threatened to walk out that she became desperate to find a via media between what Chottey wanted and what nani wanted. Yes, she did demand a proper wedding but then she acccepted it when Chottey threatened to leave the house and she placated Nani into make do with the post marriage ceremonies. In fact right through the show she came across as someone who wouldn't want to disturb the balance and although she had her beliefs, if they come into conflict with the other she did not fight hard enough to uphold it. There is no doubt she loves her brother and loves Khushi for loving her brother and taking care of him but to me she does appear to have a personality disorder and not just a personality trait because her actions many a times are not that of a rational person.
