Except for the start of the episode, I didn't mind the rest. The start was :( ... 'fire, fire!!!' Dumbing down Khushi again ... can Payal please tell someone that Khushi has an irrational fear of fire because of her parents' accident or something - at least it would make her panic attack seem logical.
And the way they both ran for the recliner ... if it hadn't been for that very intense Monday fight and Tuesday dance, I would have felt these scenes fitted ... they belonged to the 'getting used to each other but still kicking and screaming about it' phase ... not the sudden escalation we saw the first two days of the week. Maybe the track has been changed quickly after the negative feedback, and these scenes were shot before Sanaya left so had to be inserted.
Or maybe the cv's intend to show that whatever fights these two have, however bitter and intense, they keep rebounding back closer and closer ... somewhat true to life, I have to add ... couple fights can be bitter and loud, and the next minute can be over and done with with everything about the fight forgotten ... though that usually happens after years of marriage when the couple is rock-solid, not with a newly married couple with such a shaky foundation.
So ignore the beginning of the episode, with the bed set on fire ... so Khushi had to overreact and flood the whole bed, so they had to share the recliner ... and the matches got wet, so no candles ... but one last match so she managed to light the coil (and cv's managed to non-blooperise the blooper by making it the last match in that box) ... and Arnav's hilarious poses as he tries to adjust his length on his half of the recliner.
But the episode took marked turn for the better with the morning waking up scene .... SHIDDAT ALERT ... a long awaited shiddat ... niharofying biwi as she sleeps early morning ... cv's are definitely visiting this blog!!! :)) Beautifully done ... the waking up cuddled together, his head on her shoulder, niharofying, and then Khushi waking up and her confusion ... the tangling of the MS ...
And then bolti band!
Khushi had some great one liners - takniki kharabi ... khud nahin bol sakte, humein nahin bolne de rahe ...
Shirtless Barun ... for the fangirls? Didn't do much for me ... but then I prefer guys with their shirts on!
Breakfast table scene was cute ... don't blame Arnav for getting irritated! Chai, kadha, gargles, balm ...
And Khushi becomes Arnav's voice ... from Meri Awaaz Suno to Meri Awaaz Bano :))
*edited*
The episode was a decent watch except for the initial dumbing down of Khushi with the 'aag, aag!' ... how else would they have got the bed too wet to sleep, without there being actually too much damage. Am glad cv's are finally adding the touches of Khushi's concern for Arnav - her worry about his hand ... but how come he suddenly toned down his anger so quickly as well, from the burning possessiveness during the dance to the much more patient tolerance? Is he actually seeing that all the gestures, the looks are from Shyam's side, and none from Khushi's? Subconsciously maybe, but even if it's seeping into his subconscious brain, that's a start. And her instinctive shouts of 'your hand!' and then the concern again must be registering somewhere in his subconscious mind too. Unless he's completely slow ... which he isn't. Now all we need is a scene where Shyam gets hurt and Khushi responds with cool impersonal concern, and helps the minimum possible, that too at Anjali's urging, leaving Arnav wondering at the difference. Something like the hospital scene, where Shyam purposely tried to injure himself and Khushi was patently unimpressed, and basically told him not to add to her worries. Shyam won't do it purposely, of course - he's smart enough to know that Khushi won't go near him with a bargepole, so it has to be a real hurt.
So the matches are wet, no candle possible, Khushi opens the window to let in light ... and mosquitoes.
Did they actually eat? =)) Good practical couple ... I like that! Long night ahead, you need the fuel!
And romantic night be damned, Bitwa goes back to laptop, Khushi clears up, in very true-to-life imitation of long married couple, completely comfortable with each other ... till the mosquitoes start biting, and she finds one single matchstick to light a coil.
Another little spat when they find the bed is wet ... and both accuse each other ... till they remember why the delay in getting the candle ... quietly acknowledging the mutual blame ... so sharing the recliner wasn't such a difficult compromise after all.
Rather liked Barun's high jump over the table in the dash to the recliner :)) ... Arnav reverts more and more to childhood antics with Khushi around ... but when Khushi innocently suggests they share, no childish thoughts there, Arnav's M is definitely in G :"> :)) ... so he makes it a point to sleep as far away from Khushi as possible.
Not possible ... the episode took a turn upwards from here ... :) Khushi being smaller and daintier can curl herself up in relative comfort, Arnav struggles to fit his length ... moving further and further up ... looking out for her head even in his drowsy state :"> ... till he wakes up in the morning to find himself sleeping comfortable alongside Khushi, his head on her shoulder ... awww, that was such a sweet picture :) :">
And Bitwa lost again in Biwi's beauty ... he niharoes her for a long while (SHIDDAT!!!!) ... probably cursing himself, why the hell did he ever make that 'six month, marriage in name only' clause - he could have been waking up like this every day for the last month ... and then gently rests her head against the cushion and moves away to get up ... only to find himself chained to her by her mangalsutra ... boy, was this symbolic or what?! =)) ... even for most non-symbolism readers like me!!!
And loved the next bit, as she also wakes up with the jerk, her eyes blink open sleepily, and then she jerks awake in shock to see him so close - as he just did barely a minute ago ... moves away quickly, blushing with embarrassment, only to be jerked back to him by the same mangalsutra ... tries to disentangle it, but not even looking at it, her eyes keep going back to him, his are fixed on her face ... and his hand goes to help her, as she is so completely distracted that she can't disentangle the chain ...
What a difference from the time of the grihapravesh ... when her earring got stuck in his coat, and he brusquely all but wrenched it free ... here he helps her free the chain gently, tenderly ... and Khushi is all confused ... 'I didn't ... do this ... it's not my fault ... you came into my space ...'
And the comedy again, but much better this time ... Arnav starts to rebut indignantly ... 'and how about your feet ...' only to find himself struck dumb ... literally =)) And both are baffled ... why isn't his voice coming out?
He rushes off to gargle ... she wonders ... what happened to him?
And KMH again, in all her Bali illusion glory ... bed tea in Bali in Dilli ...
Khushi has had enough ... enough of illusions and dreams, back to reality ... Anjali sees the coil and discloses the reason for Arnav's lost voice ... he is furious, Khushi is appalled and apologetic ... she didn't know ...
'Aap mein aur kya kya takniki kharabi hain? ... no, I mean, if you let me know, I'll take care in future, na ...'
Arnav not amused ... but me was rofling ... takniki kharabi =))
Anjali upset ... she wanted them to have a romantic night ... duh, Anji baby, a romantic night doesn't necessarily involve talking all night through, you know ... they had the most romantic night they've had so far in their married life. At least they slept on the same bed!
Anji leaves, Khushi very apologetic ... I'm really sorry, I never knew ... okay, to make up, you get the bathroom first today, for as long as you like ... :))
Arnav still not forgiven her ... stomps into bathroom and bangs door shut ... I'm still mad!
Why was he wearing shoes? Did he actually sleep with shoes on?
And Khushi can't help a small giggle ... another thing to jot down in her list ... I thought she'd forgotten that list :(
Arnav pokes head out of bathroom ... he wants towel ... Khushi purposely misunderstands ... you want to bathe on the sofa?! Oh, you wanted the towel? Why didn't you say so?
Arnav still not amused ... he should be getting used to the teasing Khushi by now. And Khushi isn't embarrassed by sight of shirtless husband ... merely amused :))
Breakfast table was hilarious ... everyone trying to suggest their own remedies for Arnav's voiceless state ... Mami still lost in her Bali hangover ... Mama Mami nok jhoks are far better fillers than the Mami-Payal weepy stuff, good to see the cv's bringing them in more ...
Arnav gestures for butter (I thought that was pretty obvious) ... Anjali clueless, Shyam says that Arnav wants to ask for something but his voice is gone (pretty obvious again) ... Arnav irritated at the conversation, everyone saying the same thing, no one trying to understand what he wants ...
till Biwi does the needful ... and the family gasps in awe at her perfect understanding of her husband (I thought it was pretty obvious myself - if you have toast at breakfast, you'd want butter, but maybe the R's are all around the same IQ level as Anjali after all).
Khushi seats herself (only Payal left standing? two chairs less today) and everyone chimes in again with suggestions to restore Arnav's voice ... til Arnav gets irritated again and Khushi voices it for him ... 'what the ...!' And clarifies 'He's saying that, not me ... he's getting pareshan with all these suggestions, please leave him alone.'
And Arnav is actually surprised at how well she understands him ... :) ... his irritation with all the suggestions, his wanting water, his reactions to Akash ...
Khushi interprets again ... he can write what he wants to say ... Anjali nixes that idea instantly, Arnav's writing is like dead keede makode lying on the page =)) ... Arnav irritated again, he will manage his work ... Khushi interprets every word, and the family almost kneels at her feet (metaphorically) in admiration ... kitni understanding Biwi hai! =))
(I found this a bit overdone ... but it accomplished the purpose!)
And Akash comes up with a brilliant idea ... 'take Khushi with you to office ... she can be your voice for the day.' Shyam immediately plays unwitting Cupid again ... passing butter and signing deals are two different things (implying Khushi doesn't have the brains to manage the latter) ... so Arnav, on the verge of saying no, is immediately, angrily on the back foot again ...
Nani intercedes ... 'nope, there's no difference, it's all about understanding him, and anyway Khushi is going to office for the dabbas' (good, good, so Khushi's dabba business is still running, Arnav didn't nix it, and we might get a decent office track after all ...)
Arnav still undecided .. Khushi decodes, Akash repeats that it's a good idea, Anjali babbles again how well Khushi understands Arnav ... and Arnav gives in ...
And again the scene emphasized that Khushi reserves all her childish behaviour only for Arnav and to a lesser extent, Payal ... with the R family, she is all demure, sambhli hui bahu ... and Arnav is slowly opening up to that very childishness of Khushi to rediscover his own lost childhood.
Roy's assistant delivers papers ... Shyam suspicious instantly ... now what is Arnav up to, after the bank fiasco? Arnav, via Khushi, gets the papers kept in cupboard ... Arnav and Khushi leave, Khushi busy on phone ... but turns instantly when Arnav voicelessly calls her ... much to his shock ... Sweet scene ... both their expressions were so good ...
Khushi sees Arnav's gestures, but gets confused by the harshness of his words ... maybe now, with his words missing from the equation, she will read his gestures and his eyes better ...
And Arnav will see how well she does know him ... everything but his heart ...
And Shyam overplays his hand again ... in ArHi's room, to find those papers ... getting a bit desperate now ... Anjali enters ... and is shocked to see him there ...
Will he get away yet again? What earthly business could he have to be in ArHi's room, when he knows they are both not there? Knowing Anjali and Shyam, he will get away ... for the moment. But hopefully, she will mention it to Arnav later, and start raising his suspicions ... Arnav bitwa ... dimaag ki batti please ... thodi si jalao!!!
Except for the start of the episode, I didn't mind the rest. The start was :( ... 'fire, fire!!!' Aapme Aur kya kya technical problem hai? Pehle hi bato do...ROFL
ReplyDeletejab chote likhte hai na, keede makode ... LMAO
ReplyDeleteWhy Why Why??? Why do the CV's give us such extreme versions of Khushi? degenerated into a 7 year old again:-(
ReplyDeleteThe Aag!Aag!Aag! scene was a total throwback to the first Arhi bathroom scene where she keeps running on the spot...Khushi running around like a headless chicken as though the sky had fallen...Big No No; for me at least.
So they finally end up sleeping beside each other- for me the scene was ruined because of the way they did it. This scene of all should have been awkward and aware- no room for any comedy in such a scene and found the sharing of the recliner ridiculous...Arnav was just doing strange yoga poses in which even tantric masters of Yoga would be to uncomfortable to sleep..expected better...
I like the "Arnav lost his voice and only Khushi can understand his Dil & Dimaag ki baat" track but couldn't they have come up with a better reason? Very disappointing...please correct me I'm wrong but can one lose one's voice because a mosquito coils vapours? And if it was so strong that Anji could smell it then Arnav who's allergic couldnt? huh? Sense of smell if also defected?...yeesh.
Liked the dining table scene...made up for the silly bedroom scenes...they were cute and funny...Plus I really enjoy scenes where nani and Anji take Arhi's case...Liked Barun's acting in these scenes...
Gargi...tantric Yoga poses....*rofl*...u know tantric teachings, in popular imagination ( and erroneously, if i may add) are linked to *ahem ahem*, so when i read it above, i just couldn't suppress my laughter..
DeletePoor BS..would have had a tuf time becos he got the poorer deal...i guess CVs wanted to keep the first time on bed for "u no what" so we had to make do with the recliner....the better thing would have been to share in half, with backs to each other and then could have avoided the discomfort..
But the scene, of A waking up, sleep laden eyes and looking at Khushi as if she was an angel descended from heaven.... that scene was beautiful and Barun's acting was FANTASTIC....i think scenes of two lovers waking up and finding themselves in such a situation may have been done in past too there was uniqueness in today's scene maybe becos of the superlative acting, besides the peculiarity of circumstances that these two are in
For the allergy part, all i can say is that they had to contrive a situation where she becomes his voice.....
But i agree, gargi that they showed K overreacting to the fire and i am glad A just dd not pay attention to it...it would have ruined the scene further...
Here again, since they needed to put water on bed, this was done...I think CVs look at what is to be achieved and what are constraints and then go about writing a scene,...
Its like
"A and K have to share an eyelock/RV after waking up but they can't sleep on bed"
Then they go about fixing the scene...bed ko unavailable banao.kaise? aag lagao? Acha zyada aag bhi mat lagao..pyar ki itni intensity nahin dikani hain...varna they have to show A worried..so dumb down K....make her shout...pani dalke
Rekha, tantric poses on the chair.. hmm. MIG. (smirk)
Deletei loved that waking up.. Dia, her MS changed again!
i am allergic to mosquito coils.. makes me breathless. maybe for some people, voice goes? i'm happy to give them the benefit of doubt.
the fire.. did you see the red bucket? star of the holi at office? now in his bathroom? and if the couch/laptop caught fire yesterday, how did the bed catch fire today?
oh yeah..I liked the waking up scene too..was cute, until I realised that it was missing the intensity that I wanted! :P and about the MS..that was a HUGEEE blooper .. :P because before sleeping she had the smaller one on..and after waking up, the bigger one? Just to be able to be engaged in Arnav's shirt? :P or ... *MIG* :P :D
DeleteOye, the MS was the same one, with half black beads and half gold chain ... but was the chain longer or what? That it could get entangled?
DeleteI agree with Rekha, seems the scene was written in reverse - desired end point - BB on recliner (Bitwa Bitiya, baba) ... how to reach there? Make bed unavailable? How to make bed unavailable yet not call in entire RM junta? Make small fire, put out with lots of water. Who could do such a silly thing? Khushi, of course :(
But I liked the morning scene ... and yep, people are allergic to diff types of smoke, and my husband has a rotten sense of smell as well ... so can swallow those ones.
aap mein aur kya kya sharirik khamiyan hai bata dete toh shubidah hoti ....... Rolf rofl (bitwa is allergic to coil)
ReplyDeletebed on fire .... Thank god ...... Naito so eagerly awaited (not complete as usual) cuddling shaddling kaha dekh ne ko milta ....... For now isi se hi kaam chala lenge
i actually liked bolti bandh ASR :D ....... At the end when she turns and says aap ne bulaya ....too cheesy to hajmofy .... Par cute tah ;)
i hope at last Anjali does start suspecting her hubbie high time ..... How can a BIL be at his BIL's bedroom when neither he or his wife is around?!?! ..... Creeeeeep all the way
What's the Mr. Roy thing? has he been mentioned earlier and I've forgotten the connection or are they yet to tell us...
DeleteSnakewa will spout some sickly sweet nonsense...question is whether Anji will walk around with blinders on or is she going to at least wonder about it...
Hey Gargi,
DeleteMr. Roy is ASR's lawyer....remember he was mentioned when ASR was threatening Khushi with Payash Divorce
gargi roy is raizadas lawyer remeber payash divorce setup
ReplyDeleteno matter whatever slimy thing he comes up with .... Anjali should be worried ..... And that sick o was doing something with either cupboard yaaiiicccckkkkksssss.......that should hit her......it should ......it should.....it own't ?!?!? *head desk*
Gargi ..... Tough yoga positions .... You cracked me ....... Rofl rofl rofl
ReplyDeletebut when he did go up .... *thud*
ok can cv's please stop showing shirtless barun ...... It disturbs my image of Barunian perfection!!!!! I maybe a psycho ...... But I hate shirtless guys ..... And hairless toh aur bhi nahi .....hmmmm
Sama...totally agree with you! I hate shirtless guys too.. I may be strange, but it is kind of a turn off for me! :S
Deletesama, I dont think shirtless barun is gonna stop.. the teen masses want it! though i have to admit shirtless guys are on my ick list too.
Deletebut then, he could not just shout at her for the towel, right? and she was totally playing him.. so he had to get back at her somehow... but thankfully there was no rabba ve there.
hahaha I love how everyone on R&R is unanimously agaisnt shirtless-ness...Lol...
DeleteI actually don't mind one way or the other whether they show shirtless Arnav or not. I just found the scene kind of silly...If he's wearing jeans why was he hiding behind the bathroom door?...he could have just come out and gotten the towel in the first place...Lol..
gargs, he has not accepted her as his wife.. they are still "acting". so he was a bit (shy) to come out just like that.. but then she teased him, and he had to retaliate.. so he came out, expecting her to blush..
DeleteI prefer red/maroon open necked shirt vaala Arnav to shirtless Arnav ... besides, Barun isn't that well built for girls to drool - he's okay. Don't think he's one of those weight pumping guys - thank god, tbh!
DeleteThose over-muscled guys put me OFF big time, where the cv's show them bare-chested so that Anatomy students can have a real live demo lesson on muscles. They showed Karan T in a shower scene like that in Behna ... and that put me off the guy so much, although I used to find him cute. And Armaan in DMG did the same - he was TOO beefy - yuckkk!!
But I rather liked the way Biwi teased Bitwa ... and didn't dissolve into blushes when he came out ... glad there was no RV there ... there were enough last night as it is! And much better ones too.
I was waiting for it...the moment when they would degrade the levels of epis again... for reasons best known to themselves! :S After yesterday's mind blowing episode, today's was as crappy as last week's epis for me.. it made no sense whatsoever especially after yesterday's intense emotions in the dance.. and the "aag aag" scene was soo irritating.. sure ArHi looked cute sleeping together on the recliner and the scene before when he falls her face from slipping down..but that's about it.. didn't expect it to be this light hearted.. or are the CVs pointing towards the fact of how these two can enter into the worse rights EVER ... hurt and insult each other beyond reason, belief and logic (more pointers towards arnav here) .. and yet somehow get comfortable with each other the very next minute when they calm down? so that its somehow their comfort zone - to fight ruthlessly and then become ok again? Problem is..it has been shown very very inconsistently in the last week's episodes and especially today.. K is back with another addition in her "100 ways to irritate ASR" *headdesk* and also to her "KKGSR dabba service" ... it was good to add a bit to her character like this, but doesn't make ANY sense in the story at all...
ReplyDeletethe only thing I loved about the episode was K becoming A's voice ... (however LAME the reasons for it might be), again showing what a stark contrast A and K are as personalities.. while K is able to understand A's silence without effort, A has not been able to understand K's emotions and intentions even after she explained them in her own way to him in so many different words! Don't know where they are leading with this track..or if it IS any track at all.. for me it looks to be a filler until Sanaya comes back from vacation.. SANAYA, please, please come back! :P have never been so selfish in my life before.. LMAO!
And oh yes, the last 2 minutes.. Shyam getting suspicious about the roy thingy, entering A's bedroom and searching his cupboard and Ajanli entering there at the peak time.. can I raise my hopes with the fact that Anjali might think something is suspicious about it? Can't raise them much though, because history has always potrayed her as a thorough airhead and dimwit.. not to mention verryy irritating and interfering as a sister, especially disturbing her newly wedded brother and his wife EVERY freaking morning.. sure she does all that in innocence, but it is slightly getting on my nerves now!
all in all, an episode worth skipping, I would say, unless u crave for random rabba ve's and cute romantic scenes that are totally out of context, characterization and story line..
dialogue of the day for me - "jab chote likhte hain, to aisa lagta hain jaise keede-makode mare pade hain!" ROFL!!!! Anjali definitely takes the cake with that one! :D
*holds her face from slipping down, I meant...
DeleteMads...
Deleteseems like PH have decided that they have a time limit for the when the issues are going to get unraveled so they will keep putting up random scenes until then....an RV here, an eyelock here and comedy scene there and so on.....
The lead acting is so good that Cvs get away with murder otherwise i can't imagine how one can enjoy soulful scenes in the middle of all this mayhem...and as jaya mentioned there is also that section of audience that the show panders to....
I agree, Rekha... and since I have been a viewer to such a mayhem previously, I have an inkling as to how their brain works.. they want to keep everyone happy.. but everyone can't be happy at the same time, as it seems! With the storyline and intense emotions and tracks they keep us happy...while with shirtless barun and 100 ways to irritate ASR and mindless comedy and light hearted romance they keep the other junk of an audience happy..and I feel very bad to say that the other junk is indeed in a majority than us! Ask diya..we had faced similar problems during the latter half of MJHT season1 and the first half of MJHT season2.. ultimately the majority wins! :(
DeleteI dont know if IPK is walking down that road...but as it turns out, they realise soon enough time and again that the love story that they are planning to potray is NOT meant to be a light-hearted comedy, but instead one of the intense passion-filled, dark type.. they have given us fab tracks in the past and uptil now, those have overruled the comic stuff.. so let's wait and watch until Sanaya comes back ... and see whether the next two weeks bring any change to the inane stuff!
I agree with mads and Rekha... unfortunately we fall in the minority as far as IPK is concerned...Everyone is far more interested in the actors rather than staying true to the characters and the story...
DeleteThey'd rather the plot be compromised than miss out the weekly dose of Rabba Ve and comic relief:-(...
But the Cv's know we're out here too so perhaps they'll still look out for the stories interest along with the TRP and channels interest...its a fine line they have to walk...
btw diya, I have arrived to a weird conclusion : whenever I see praises about the episode on IF, I can be sure that I won't be liking the epi.. :P and whenever I see complaints about a particular scene (like it happened yest with the dance, have no idea what they were expecting :S), I can be sure that I am going to like it! :P strange, but has proven to be true uptil now... :)
ReplyDeletemads, that bcos most of the hoopla on IF are made by kids like my 17 year old neighbor.. they don't get the story, they are there just for the actors.
DeleteBINGO Jaya! :D I remember when we were active on the forum during the MJHT times...me and diya and a few others were amongst the "oldest" people on the forum and probably we formed only about 15% of the population.. or even less, I think! The rest were filled with hormonally-driven teenage girls who went ga-ga over every "hawt" scene shown! :S
DeleteMads, that is almost a given ... these days I avoid the forum like plague before I see the episode myself ... and with you guys commenting here almost instantly, I prefer this feedback ... IF reactions are totally reliable - what they love, I hate, and what they hate, I love.
DeleteThe first few posts about the dance yesterday were all negative ... and that was the scene I liked best yesterday ... even though it seemed out of context with everything that happened after!
Actually the problem I find is that apart from being super opinionated everyone on IF is quite extreme...discussion only works if you agree with their take...which inevitably most of us don't...But its okay R&R is a far better substitute IMO.
Deletevery true mads...i recently discovered IF and whatever they say works ulta for me!!checked it before watching mondays epi and they were going on and on about how bad the dance was..and then when i watched it..i actually liked it!! but i do read it once in a while just for the heck of it!!:)
Deletemads Ditto on the turnoff thingy ......episode wasn't bad.......there had been worse episodes but then everyone took it lightly ......and ArHi have always been this way .......hell bound insult thrown at eachother and bounce back to their nok jhok the very next moment.
ReplyDeleteI hope Arnav recalls terrace scene and Khushi does register Shyam and her name linked together ...... I know long shot but I'll be all dhin ka chika *SHIDDAT*
Well, I started watching IPK quite late, actually..and when I started it, the storyline was going fantastic! Those were the La episodes and the diwali thing etc.. they were totally intriguing and gripping...and even then, I had skipped most of the scenes which I thought were irrelevant and stupid..so my tolerance level for inane stuff about IPK has been pretty low uptil now.. :P but last week and today's epi has increased it a bit, I guess..
Deletewell, I know ArHi have always thrown hell-bound insults at each other ... but somehow the ones before and the ones now are different.. easrlier on, it was more like "how dare u challenge me/irritate my ego" kind of a battle b/w them.. now, its something much more deep..its filled with a hatred and passion that cannot be defined ... which is overpowering even the feelings they have for each other.. though u are right, whenever the feelings do resurfce, they are back to their comfort zone.. so that was what I was wondering too.. my problem, like I said, was that the change of emotions b/w them is too abrupt for me to digest .. or maybe that's because they shot the entire episode in parts with Sanaya .. so the moods appear different!
btw when did arnav link khishi's and shyam's name together??? Have I missed someting here??
*I meant khushi and shyam's name.. :)
Deleteno no arnav dint link K and S 's name ...... I wan't this to happen in A's voice lost situation where K blabbers something which make him recall those scene again and let slip something with K and S linked .,,,,, i mean as its not something he said loudly she cannot be sure but it will make her think abt it more .......coz what S does or think it does not matter but if she suspects herself to be suspected by A ....no matter how ill he already thinks of her as per her knowledge ........she will definitely take her mind off all the squabbles and concentrate on that .......having said that I am not expecting this thing to be cleared out from any side before 6th june ...... That would be 1 year .......but if they do drag it till then i want both A and K to know about it at once ....... K not forgiving A but staing around till they can dispose S out of Anj's life
ReplyDeleteI found the switch! I mean, I know how bitwa went from crazy angry to buddy-buddy... it was after the passion dance, the end of the song, at the hug.. there was a definite pause there.. and a rabba ve.. why? because he discovered that she was allowing him to lead her.. and dancing to his ishaare.. which prompted him to melt.. forget the hate.. remembered that their hearts beat as one..
ReplyDeleteand he accepts the fact that she was truthful (when she said she will do everything he says, will stay for 6 months, etc etc.) ASR khush hua.
so then the whole bedroom scene makes sense.. it does not seem so abrupt.. and his reaction this morning also makes sense. he has melted.. not ASR anymore, plain arnav. and he is in love.. their sleep, their waking up, suddenly make sense.
when she makes fun of him, he tries to make her uncomfortable by walking out shirtless..(see how he was putting his head out and asking for the towel, and then she acted like she could not understand, and he comes out.. ) its all part of the nok jhok.
I think they are at the boyfriend-girlfriend stage by now..
then it is realization time for bitwa. she understands his every expression.. she really does observe him closely (remember during sangeet, he had said that..) and then she heard him without seeing him.. look at the smile on his face.
I am glad of the snake red-handed ending, but I think it is something innocuous. he will just say some random excuse and get outta there.
hey dia, we were saying no one was concerned about bitwa's wry neck..now look , all the family members are surrounding him with advice for his lost voice!
ReplyDeleteDemands of the script, Jaya ... demands of the script! Didn't have time to waste on stiff neck - seriously though, did they work it into the script because Barun really had a wry neck there? It doesn't make sense at all!
DeleteAs for the switch ... okay, can accept that for Arnav ... otherwise the change of intensity between the dance and their bedroom was really out of synch. But - okay, Arnav's mood changed because of that, but what about her? What did she feel that she became chirpier all of a sudden? Because she was sure as heck affected by the dance ... and almost back to normal in the bedroom.
Nope, bad scripting ... or a sudden last minute change.
Even today, nice though the episode was on the whole, has not really incorporated that dance and how it might have altered equations ... it didn't seem to have changed anything. And considering it was a really powerful performance, that is stupid ...
Watch episodes on day to day basis ... and look for story progress once a week, or less ... :)
dia, one opinion was that the light-er scenes were shot before sanaya went on holiday. and because of the overwhelming bad reaction to the mindless comedy track last week, they made emergency (shaadi.. no ;) shooting and made the intense scenes they showed on monday. then they segued some scenes that they had shot before for tuesday and wednesday.. hence the super intensity of the monday fight did not really carry over.
DeleteI sort of believe this theory. also, if the monday fight was less intense, maybe the current nok jhok would be acceptable. we will wait and watch today's episode for scenes shot after sanaya came back.
Hey girls !! Missed you all!! Haven’t been able to watch last few episodes almost a week, thanks to all of you for beautiful updates and analysis, and dia thank you for including the dialogues in the updates. And a heartiest congrats on 1 lac hits, and hope like all others that a few hits have been from CV’s waiting for next Monday with Khushi with white suit.
ReplyDeleteAtlas was able to watch today’s episode much better on my mobile than last few days, so will be able to put my 2 cents.
Highlights for me were the first and foremost was the pool recliner was safe from the fire. I did pray god yesterday for it be safe lol!! Dam it’s too precious to be ruined after the Holi confession!!! And I so wanted them the fall asleep on it if ever they had to share the same sleeping area. SO thank you God and CVs for it!!
Second is the parallelism of Arnav and Khushi to Fire and Ice(water). Arnav holding the burned match stick, symbolizes to say that, Arnav with is all his rage, mistrust, insecurities, vulnerability of his past just needs a spark to burn the down everything he hoped for ( It just required just one terrace Hug and one line from Khushi to ruin everything between them, including himself. In his rage he is even unaware of his hurt, its Khushi who notices the burning match stick and saves him from getting burned, but in saving him she does not know that her actions will lead to a fire, (So true where she trying to save Anjali and in turn him from getting hurt from RRR truth, leads to the big roaring fire of MU between them which has the capacity to ruined everything between them.) But again it’s her who takes the action to get the situation under control again with her hyper temperament, (@Jaya I did not find Khushi reaction out of place or childish is because that’s how khushi reacts, thou I agree they could have mellowed it down a little) Although the way they approached to the recliner was ok, I agree there could have been 10sec more of awkwardness and little “I came first, so it’s mine tiff and then they coming to deal of sharing would have been more apt. , the deal was too abrupt. (SN:- CV u need to be careful in completing the emotions as they swing high from one end of emotions to other, 10 or 20 sec more to them isn’t going to ruin your suspense that you wanted to include at the end.)
The third is the recliner sleeping arrangement and tangled MS, and Arnav’s care for Khushi even when he was uncomfortable positions. (Again to say he will care for her regardless of his position) Yes Shiddat granted bitwa niharofying his biwi in the morning ! OK somebody asked if we lose the voice because of the repellent fumes the answer, I am allergic to it and tend to have a sore throat in the morning. And Jaya Bitwa did ask if something was burning when ODG lit the repellent, it’s just that his dimaag is still on vacation to connect the dots.
Aaru baby, welcome back..don't worry that recliner is different...thats the pool lounger where they had the holi scene, if i am not mistaken...
DeletePart 2
ReplyDeleteLoved the breakfast scene, ODG being the awaaz of ASR, at start I was, why do they have to keep this crap especially the lip sync from Bitwa if they wanted to show that khushi understands him more than others like TQ pointed out? But that thought was put to end with “app ne bulaya scene” All the while during the breakfast she was watching him and anticipating his reaction. To him she was only able to interpret him because of his lip sync and trying to show off to the family that she really understands him. But when they are outside, she is ahead of him, she isn’t watching him or hearing him, yet she turns back immediately asking if he called? That baffles him; how did she know? So the breakfast table thing wasn’t an act, then again the change of emotions – if she can understand me so well, why can’t she listen what’s there in my heart, what she means to me, that I love her. While Khushi is confused again trying to read him. Khushi can read and intercept his mind but not his heart. The moment he speaks from his heart, she is confused and is unable to understand him as for her view to his heart is clouded with the walls he has created. (SN : Again an incomplete emotion display I would liked a little more confused reaction from Khushi, looked like it was edited to include the TF-TQ scene).
For today if this whole Khushi doing business and being awaaz of Arnav during the deal is to build the trust, I so want ODG to sit on thru the deal and handle the whole thing maturely. The cheery on the cake would be if she points out some simple or common sense discrepancies in the deal, which they ignored. (Dia was reading WUAS on my way back, stealing your idea from there – because that was first step for Samrat to start trusting someone other than himself) So I want this as Shiddat Alert!!!
Thanks CV’s – for showing khushi’s concern to ask him about his hand. Then again for her asking forgiveness regarding the mosquito repellent.
Nice take, Aaru!!! Especially the part about Bitwa getting baffled about how she knew he was calling her ... I don't think he's thinking so far ahead about how come she can't understand that I love her, it's more about, she heard me call her? Does she understand me so well? That's my girl ... that's why I love her ...
Deleteand each time she shows that concern for him, that wall breaks brick by brick ... I think one part was also when she saw the match stick, she threw it away saying 'aapka haath!' ... and then after the water bath, she rushed to check if his hand was burnt. So slowly the cv's are bringing these little caring touches of Khushi back (ABOUT TIME!!!!) to start lighting up Arnav's dimaag ki batti ... does she love me after all? Not about why doesn't she understand I love her ... not yet.
And since our dear cv's can concentrate only on one realization at a time, Khushi's will have to wait.
Aaru, when they said Bali as honeymoon destination, WUAS was the first thought on my mind ... :)))
Hey Dia really liked your edited post today- always do :-p but today made me feel better about the aag! Aag! Scene...
ReplyDeleteEven I found arnav's little hurdle jump cute- nice touch on director/ barun's part:-)
What I liked most about the niharofying scene was Khushi saying 'aap humare paas aaye' Arnav's indignant expression was too funny:-)
And ya the episode picked up at sunrise so I've reconciled to the aag scene:-)
Found the scene where she knows he's calling her a little cheesy (as already commented above) but it worked cuz BS and SI had bang on expressions here...
I have no hope for Anji but I do hope later on she remembers all these little things...
Dia, loved your edited post. you say you have nothing to add, and there is so much! really glad to have your take on the story.. always alters my POV a bit.
ReplyDeleteDia, loved ur post...
ReplyDeleteesp your observation...how seasoned couples can switch from angry to normal in a matter of minutes..how true....
Girls, in case u missed it....not really possible for we have hawk like eyes watching San's every move..still wnted to share this with u
when Arnav tries to tell Khushi about her reneging on her part of the deal and can't becos of his throat...(on waking up) watch K/SI's expression...they are to die for!!....its like "What the" in Khushi's style and followed with her "kya hua hain apko?" likes an exasperated biwi who has no time for all this nonsense in the morning....I kept rewinding to watch Sanaya's exp....they are so cute...
http://india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=2907858
ReplyDeleteAAAAAAAAND time to bang ur heads again! :S have no words left after reading this ...
please, someone, ANYONE...if u can make me feel good about it, go ahead.. I will be thoroughly happy!
http://india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=2908104
Deleteand something that can make u feel better IF its true ... although I do think some other issues need to be resolved before this happens!
sbs link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_jvoanMEh4
Deletemads I give up...the cv's have split personality disorder. That's the only explanation for this bipolar track.
oh no....
Deletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqwPqjBXgus
WWWHHHHAAAAATTTTT!!!!! has to be fake!!or fun behind the scenes!!thats too silly!!
ReplyDeleteit'll ruin the story!
eeeekkkkkkssssssssss!!!!!!
anita..I wish it were fake, but its not! :S SBB segments usually give out stuff that's going to happen in the show.. so this WILL happen for sure...just don't know when.. its thursday today and we will deffo have a scene about A and K going to office, so maybe they will show it today itself? Don't know... I want all the non-sensical and inane stuff to be done with this week...and next week should be back on track again.. Sanaya will also be back from her vacation by that time I guess!
DeleteMads....looks like there is no end to the mayhem....do other serials go thru this phase...see-sawing epi to epi.....the serials that go on for ever and ever. How do they sustain these periods...Is it becos such serials just show day-to-day happenings and so they can get away with it from epi to epi showing some matter to grip audience interest. some kitchen politics and the like
DeleteDo serials like IPK face a serious challenge to be able to show something worthwhile while they figure the time period in which to take the real story forward..I was seriously under the impression that IPK has built other side characters well enuf for them to exist but now i am not so sure....
Here we have a love story that needs to break out but its all hinging on that terrace scene and they can't do anything until that is unraveled but the problem is the timing of the unraveling? is that the issue?
just when we think the track is finally going to change and get interesting..they go back to dumb comedy!!why would ASR make khushi do sit ups in the middle of the road?? what happened to his license??
ReplyDeleteguess we do have to put up with this till Sanaya comes back!!hope she does soon..i cant put up with this silly comedy anymore!!
Mads and all,
ReplyDeleteThe SBB will happen for sure - that is from the shoot, and there was a miniscule BS/SI iv where they explained the scene slightly ... but not what leads up to it. My guess is that she does something to make him mad in the office, and he's fuming in the car on the way home, or she does a great job and rubs it in ... either way, traffic cop stops them and the scene happens ... though if it happens the way they showed, Arnav is in for more bashing from me - making biwi do situps on the road? Yeh kaisa pyaar hai???
The second will not happen - it's a VERY old spoiler from Jan ... no way they will confess their love yet.
I think they are either still waiting for Sanaya to return - though there was a comment on Sathya's post that they called her back after 2 days of holiday to try to change the track after the negative feedback last week - don't know of that is true or not ... I personally doubt it, so I think they're still finishing off the scenes they shot before she left. But I doubt the traffic scene is comic, judging from the expressions ... Khushi seemed angry and hurt, not comic. And they ARE using the fillers of the Mami Payal fashion show - Nani dressed as Barbie doll to convince Mami - selfish me, can I say I'm glad this time it's not Sanaya doing the comic stuff, but the rest of the cast :)
As for the track and unravelling the MU, my feeling from yesterday - again, I could be wrong - from Zee_News spoilers (she is another fairly authentic source), this track would build the trust between ArHi BEFORE the MU is cleared.
I was thinking - this would be something new on telly for sure - that the trust builds up and instead of a dramatic Ekta-type confrontation - the scenarios we have been imagining - Arnav overhearing a dramatic Shyam-Khushi argument, or overhearing a Payal-Khushi one, he just slowly builds up his trust himself, and one day, realizes ... hang on, I know this girl, she cannot do something like this, fall for a married man and encourage him to break his marriage, and esp not when the wife is my Di ... I can't believe it, something is wrong ... and THEN he investigates properly and finds out the truth ...
So if it does go this way, then we will see lots more of the kind of scenes we saw today, a slow build up of trust, maybe a simultaneous build up from love from Khushi's end, as Arnav sees the truth and starts softening towards her more and more ...
So we're waiting for one of those all out confrontations - but instead they're gonna take it very slowly ...
If you look at it, there has already been major progress from the wedding night, when Arnav didn't even want Khushi in the same room, to last night, when he happily shared the lounger with her, and didn't even recoil the next morning ... and nothing she did later made him think of the terrace scene again ... on the contrary, she was all over him and his needs ...
Another observation from Hitesh's iv (the dialogue writer) ... he said a movie finishes in 3 hours, so you write the scenes as a series of major milestones ... but when writing for tv, it's like living with a friend or part of the family ... writing everyday happenings, with normal ups and downs of daily life, and just a few big high points more spaced out ... because that is what real life is.
So we take it as it comes basically ... they will unravel the MU when the time comes, and it may actually happen like, hey it doesn't even matter any more what Shyam or any other idiot thinks or says, because I love Khushi and she loves me.
Dia honestly I'm okay with the story progressing a little slower than we'd all like and I know not all scenes/ episodes can be hits...
DeleteBut really? ASR making his wife do uthak baithak in the middle of the road...its just absurd on so many levels...His reaction to her randomly doing uthak baithak on new years eve was -What the! (heck are you doing?) and now same ASR is going to make her do thak baithak in the street?
Even I prefer when comic scenes are left fot supporting cast members...although the sbs segment of nani as barbie girl was just weird don't see how they're going to explain that one and make it funny..:-s I know nani is cool but this seems a bit much...
@diya...and that's why I need u when I have this news! :)) u make me see everything soo clearly and soo logically! :) and if the spoiler about zee_news is right then u are absolutely correct...this would be something new on TV definitely! :)) usually its like, the truth is out and THEN they realise their mistake and build up the trust ... but here we can actually get to see Arnav realising his mistake and repenting before the actual truth is out...and maybe then they both, as a team can figure out a way to save anjali from being hurt and all those things...
DeleteGargi, I know, right? He didn't like her doing that uthak baithak in the house - why would he make her do it in the middle of the road? And she's his wife now - what about his precious name and reputation? Really the cv's are pea-brained at times!!!! Seems like 2-3 sets of people are writing the episodes, and each of them have their own views about the characters - we get to see the khuchdi!!!
DeleteNani was weird as Barbie girl ... poor lady! Someone needs to censor the scenes when they are written ...
Madsie ... *hugs* ... thanks! I do hope it goes this way, though and doesn't get derailed by all the feedback from various quarters. I am very willing to watch more scenes like yesterday's... they were sweet and funny without being OTT in the slightest!
@ Gargi, Anita and Rekha... well, I have unfortunately seen many hindi shows by far to be surprised by this trend of the CVs! And its like I mentioned before somewhere...they try to make everyone happy and in that process lose out on the essence of the story..and IPK is not an exception to this...none of the hindi soaps are actually, except for those that have a pre-planned script and dialogues ready much before they actually begin shooting for it! Like for example shows like Rishta.com...they actually had the entire script, scene by scene, dialogue by dialogue ready much before they started shooting it..which is why it was one hell of a classy show and could be compared to the western shows...plus it was a weekly and that mattered a lot!
ReplyDeletebecause another big reason for the slow progression of the story or the comedy in b/w is that since its a daily show, it is impossible to take the story forward in every episode... especially when the trend is for the serials to go on for atleast 200 episodes for sure..and given that its aired 5 days a week, that's already 10 months.. and they go on even more... also since they are shooting over the clock I don't know if they can afford to have a bank of episodes or have time for that even!
and then u have scenarios like this one where either the actors are on a vacations for a few days...or u have the directors changing..or then the channel might interfere at times, or u have a crazy audience that might pressurize u to have a certain scenes in ur script, which might make u change ur script every now and then..adding to the inconcistency!
Now in such a scenario, I don't know whom to blame, honestly!
Probably, if it were a weekly, then they would have had a better consistency, since they would get a break in between to think of something that can actually take the story ahead...
so its like diya has said in some post above... watch the episodes daily, but look for a movement in the storyline probably once in two weeks or so...
Dia, mads,...
Deletenovices like me will keep badgering...wondering whats going on...
frankly...what keeps me tied to IPK is the ARHI tale..to me, it is a beautiful bond that has so much promise....Difficult love is probably not a new tale but this story is really hatke!!
To add to that,s the wonderful chemistry between the actors...they are doing such a gud job, raising the bar each time with their performance...outstanding even in epis that have crumbled around them due to whatever reasons...It also has competent side cast
so, I will go by what Mads is suggesting...expect a movement in storyline once in two weeks...and grin and bear it until then
Mads, that was true of Star One soaps, because their audience base is young and mainly online viewers - they were always almost off the TRP charts for them not to bother about TRP's, but only about online feedback. I wonder if the same is true for the mainstream GEC's ...
DeleteIPK is an oddity because it is almost as popular online as it is on the charts, plus the PH has experience mainly with SO ... maybe that's why they are getting confused and trying to please everyone. Plus also they would have the channel pressure on their backs for the first time - which they never really had before.
Another factor - if you look at most of the mainstream shows, they are all family oriented and have big casts, so even if the leads are missing for a few days, it doesn't matter, the rest of the cast makes up. Like YRKKH, they have two huge families, Akshara has two married SIL's and a married bro, plus a MIL and a badi MIL, plus her own parents and chacha chachi ... and all of them have their separate tracks, mostly minor ones, but they all contribute to screen time. Same with DABH, though there the three main characters are the couple and the MIL, but there is an extended family there too. SAme with SGP - in fact, the family scenes are far more fun than the Sushaan ones. So even if the leads go missing for bit, or have five minutes of screen time out of the twenty, it doesn't matter.
Here, ArHi are taking 10-15 minutes of the episode every single day ... so if either one goes missing for even a day or two, there would be mayhem. That's why we've been saying here for so long that they HAVE to build up parallel stories, show the other relationships - fortunately they have been working on Payash now a little bit, and now the Mami-Payal drama will start ... but by giving some thought to the side characters, they can use them better and build up a small bank ... always provided they write the episodes well in time enough for that!
So ladies,
ReplyDeletehow has it been the past 2 days. need to catch up on 2 epis and all the comments from yday. missing arhi and all u wonderful ppl
Hey Sandy!!...The day before's episode is a must watch...Super Hot Arhi dance...and the both the episodes have quite a lot of cute scenes and shiddat fulfillment's as well;-)
DeleteSandy, where were you, yaar! You go missing during the good episodes!
DeleteWatch the dance! Waiting for your omnibus!

DeleteI am slogging so i can have my weekend off - else it will be another working weekend...:(
Like Jaya siad looks like it is time to get an assistant to do my work and watch ArHi :) :)
