I was distracted by the live update of SPA so didn't watch the episode carefully ... anyway, it was full of mami-bahu saga with comic touch ...
So Arnav does identical countdown for Khushi's arrival ... Khushi stops Payal from signing papers Arnav had no intention of making her sign, Akash clarifies that they were random business papers ... and Arnav gets more miles on that RTR ...
Khushi admits defeat ... I felt Arnav felt bad when she capitulated completely, he doesn't like her to lose or to give up the fight ... and she didn't ... she fought to get back the papers ... and he enjoyed the fight again ... including the part at the poolside ...
Why couldn't they fall on the bed???!!! x(
Okay, leave that for later when they're more ready to do something about it ... ;)
The pool scene was cute ... and finally we get a rabba ve moment which isn't a HMC drama ...
Hopefully with SPA over, story will get on track from next week ...

So episodes starts with Arnav reaching home, first thing he asks is if Khushi is back ... the guy can't get his mind off his wife! I think he expected to see her waiting at the door :) But he's sure she'll be back in time - a quick look at his watch and he tells Payal he wants to talk to her ... taking his time, slowly ... no rush, she has a minute to go ...
He starts his countdown, but so confident that he doesn't have a cover story in place for Payal ... fumbles slightly
Khushi rushing back, reaching in the nick of time, so flustered that she almost rings the bell before she realizes the door is wide open ... and rushes in ...
Arnav hears the sound he was waiting for ... her payal ... and starts the act ... Payal, I need you to sign some papers ...
What are these ...? Good for Payal, she doesn't want to sign blindly, she actually asks ...
Nothing, they're nothing ... Khushi in the nick of time, panting, puffing ... office papers, that's all, isn't it, Arnavji?
A victorious smirk, an I-told-you-so look ... yep, just office papers ...
Payal still confused ... then why ... me ... sign ...
Khushi, you should have stayed quiet and let Arnav answer that question ... would have been nice to see him fumble, because he obviously had no answer ready - he'd thought she'd be back home before he even needed to act this much ...
But she saves his skin by telling a confused Payal to make halva for Akash, and Arnav concurs with another smirk and goes off , leaving a very tense, worried Khushi ... she can't believe he would do this, but she can't take the slightest chance ...
Poor girl, the way she clutched onto a bewildered Payal ... I won't let anything happen to you ...
Nani tells Khushi sternly but calmly, and without the earlier anger, that she needs to tell them the reason next time she goes out anywhere ... Anjali steps in as peacemaker again, to sort out Holi arrangements, including Khushi again as she used to in the old days ... but Khushi needs to sort out Arnav and the papers first.
Akash check with Arnav about papers, Arnav has no clue what he's talking about, the only papers on his mind are very different ones, and the Nainital deal is far less important than the deal he has to do with Khushi ... tomorrow's fine, no hurry ...
Akash and Payal are a good team, both are quiet yet pick up on puzzlers very quickly ... why were you in the restaurant suddenly, Bhai? Oh, did you come to meet Khushi?
Arnav gladly seizes the answer Akash gives him ... yes, I came to meet Khushi ...
Akash still puzzled ... but how did you know she was going to be there?
Since he (or Khushi) are not ready with an answer to that one, Arnav falls back on his stock 'I don't have to answer anything I don't want to' stance ...
Am so glad Khushi and Arnav are married now, they don't have to arrange secret accidental, hope-the-other-is-there rendezvous at the poolside any more - they have their room :) :"> where they can shut the world out with complete confidence and legitimacy ...
So Khushi reaches their room, where Arnav is waiting for her ... confident she'll be back ...
I told you, didn't I ... you'll come back to me ...
Not back to RM, back home ... but "back to me ..." The most important thing for him, whether he's ready to admit it or not - she's back with him ...

He doesn't even react to that one ... how many times do I have to tell you to put these things away? Sounded like an exasperated parent again ;)
Darling Arnav, she's giving you a message, don't you know ... I don't like sleeping outside but I'm darned if I'll come in till you beg me to ...
Another empty threat - I'll jump into the pool ...
An incredulous look at the pool ... that's supposed to scare him?!
Khushi, the pool is three feet deep, you can't drown ... even if you try =))
But when she loses her footing and almost falls in, he doesn't wait to put that one to the test ... he grabs her instinctively, instantly ... and pulls her close ... forgetting all about the papers ... :">
Rabba ve ... a real rabba ve ... a long eyelock, filled with flashbacks of their poolside moments (we just gave them a list ;) ) ... the first kiss, the walk in the circle of diyas, the untangling of lights, the letting down her hair after Teri Meri ... and she steps back slowly, very slowly ... all confused and aware again ... as he continues to look hard at her ... trying to see if she's acting or does he feel something which is actually there ...
She sees the ruined papers and smiles again ... a small victory ... your documents are ruined ... in that three feet of water ...
A short lived victory ... I can get them made again ... and signed again ... and you know that. Everything was in my control, is and will remain there ... so for the next six months, you do exactly what I say ... and don't try such stunts again ...
Thoughts
So Arnav accomplished what he set out to do ... Khushi can't leave RM again, the fear of what he can do to Payash is established.
Now can he start concentrating on the following things please ... one, find out Khushi's real feelings ...
and two, find out RRR's true colors ...
And in the process, three, can he please fall in love with Khushi all over again and four, woo her back ... and five, feel like all sorts of a heel and a jerk when he does two ... and six, Khushi reciprocate for a while ( we are desperately starved of Rabba ve and we need more proof of why ArHi are best jodi ;) ) and seven, then be hurt and heartbroken and take her own sweet time to get over her hurt so that he has to crawl on bended knees to win her back ...
One to seven added onto wishlist ... *Shiddat alert*

I love Sanaya's outfit - the first time she has worn anything so heavy and elaborate (for her!) to an awards function. Usually she's very simple and elegant in a dress or skirt and blouse - today she went Indian but not "Khushi" style - this is totally Sanaya's natural style!
And I love Barun's style - smart casual to the T - suit with open necked shirt, no tie - very dashing! Dia approves! Waiting for our resident fashion expert's comments!

Arhi!! We just made a list today and they showed the exact same scenes in flashback... Hehehe
I sooo wish he'd tried to grab the papers when she was jumping around and caught her and both toppled onto the bed. But it's ok I'll take the - must save my wife even from 3 ft water- hehehe. Guys he seriously does not tolerate anything happening to her unless he's the one doing it... He can drench her head to toe but won't let her fall into their private pool. ***shiddat *** hope the both fall together ...preferably onto the bed and we get a nice long niharofying rabbi ve... Or if ASR is feeling frisky and MU is cleared than something more;-)

Shweths and me were going at 10-12 min cos the stupid sample scens they posted from the K shows were like 6 / 7 minutes long so we had to have a one upmanship for IPK nai...
Plus they have poolside then onto room then onto BED - telling u 10 - 12 min scene hua na TRPs will go thru the roof ;)

Like I said there is poolside, sliding glass doors into room and then onto bed, with halts in between at the recliners inside and outside - aaram se lambaa scene kar sakte hain..or (MIG MIG MIG) from bed to glass doors to poolside - starlit night and all..
Don't want to pour water on to your dreams of a long con scene but just doing a reality check. The show is at 8 p.m. on a family channel. The show is by a PH who gave two sanitised con scenes in their other show and that too with a steamy couple like Gurmeet and Drashti who practically scorched the screens even with plain eye-locks. Considering the show was on a youth channel which could have boldly had such scenes, the PH was being unnecessarily circumspect.

Ekta is way bolder than this PH when it comes to con scenes. To date the best one for me was the one on Michi of Kayamath but then it was a 11.00 show.

Opti, part of the PH is also the writers of DMG and MJHT, and we got some pretty close scenes there ... besides, I don't know how correct I am in assuming this, but I think after a while, GC was not happy doing very steamy scenes with DD, his wife objected, so they stuck to eyelocks. At least, that's what I got from the fact that GC -DD stopped having too many iv's together on SBS etc and I heard that his wife got hate-mails from GC-DD fans - the same thing happened with Arjun B and RP after their falling out on MJHT ...
DeleteAnyway, all this is speculation ... the Teri Meri was pretty hot if you look at it ... and again, this couple is combustible on screen just with their looks ... so am happy with whatever they show :)))

ReplyDeleteWhen Khushi accepted her defeat...his face fell as if he just can't hear khushi's defeatist tone ....it was just a fleeting moment but it was there....I thot both Sanaya and Barun enacted that scene very well. whats admirable in that scene was the tone that khushi/SI used to accept her defeat and the way Arnav/BS responds with just the right amount of concern in the circumstances. Beautiful...
I also liked that stray remark about the pillow/bed that Arnav threw at her at the poolside..that exasperated tone u use with kids who never listen...It made me wonder they have actually have a 8 year gap between them...I feel the Cvs have never focused on it but it would be nice touch considering how well these guys act!!It would be new facet!!

DeleteActually they are 10 years apart - she is supposed to be 18 and he, 28! (I for one cant stand that so in my head she is at least 21 - passed her grad school at least - 18 is way too young for my taste) BUT you are so right - he did sound like a elder being exasperated with a naughty child!
Wait nani said he's 26..when she finds that random rishta for him...and they mentioned in Luckniw something about her being 21..

but Gargi - this is IPK don't consider continuity in dialogues!! check their official webpage - it has a description of the characters and ages are specified - and hence my own calculations for their ages!
DeleteHence at some point - in one of the discussions on one of the posts someone said that ODB and ODGs past were related - as in their parents were involved or something like that - I think that is unlikely coz ASRs parents died about 13 yrs ago, 3 years before Khushi's parents died
Yes, I agree the age gap can be a issue in a love story but then again, it is what works for the individuals involved. Age is after a number
DeleteMy point is that the gap ( whatever it be, she defi shows greater maturity than 18 years in terms of the responsibility she takes but is quite childish in her approach to life whereas he is that little boy who grew up too quickly) this aspect has never been dealt with in the story..u know subtle touches here and there could be an additional facet...just a stray thot...the CVs have enuf on their plate..
I look at the age gap in the story as one more reason why this is such a different love story..their backgrounds, their nature, their circumstances, yet they are so drawn to each other...
Yeah I know the website states their ages differently from what's mentioned in the show...but I guess I'm going to choose to believe they're 21 and 26...because I find it too weird that she's 18..and anyway 21 isn't grown up either so her immaturity is also justified...

DeleteI have done lots of calculation with all dialogues related to their past (though i haven't finished checking answer scripts yet) and if it HAS to be connected with parents then 21 and 26 seems the most logical age for the story line.
Nani definitely mentioned that Arnav is 26 at one point - when they were thinking about rishtas for him ... Khushi in my mind is 20-21 too - I find 18 too young as well! :P

the Rabba ve moment was good and Gargi- exactly what i was thinking - you wrote them down today and here they showed them (CVs you reading this blog - then do pick up more ideas from here!). Felt sorry for ODB for a moment there - must be sheer torture to be so close to your beautiful wife but...hah but...
though, cant understand:
- how there is no sense of time in NarniaIPK land - in the last episode (morning of this day) Buaji had said Holi is far away and in the evening Anjali says Holi is tom!!??? (so i guess we should get the holi episode by Wed next!)
- the sense of the saan bahu scenes? - they were not even funny (and who the hell uses such rice anymore - the rich Raizadas cant afford clean rice??? And what has hapopened to their many changing servants - Hari Prakash/Om Prakash/Jai Prakash and Rahim Kaka (all of them have been in the background since the beginning)
- Akash is home but does not see his mom and wife???
- And sorry but this mismatched suits don't work for me - i like the cut and the contrasting colours (even the red and purple are fine coz hey are classic traditional combos but why the mismatched dupatta that is neither red nor purple?)

SN 2: Since Payal and Akash lost the 'ji' suffix and the only thing Arnav ever suffixes on Khushi name is 'Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada' can she also lose the 'ji'...???

Today's Rabba Ve was so much more happening than the HMC rabba Ve. Khushi needs to read Arnav's eyes. In the fake HMC moments, his eyes never get as intense as they did today. Almost like lasers boring a hole right thru her.

I loved the ASR I saw yday and today – confident, alert, all bases covered strategy and that smirk. Khushi’s Laat governor :-)
In my comment yday, I had said “Arnav needs Khushi to believe that he is capable of pulling it off” and that is just what he did. Now even if Khushi speaks with Akash and asks him how could he consider it all a deal and realizes the papers were fake, she will remember Arnav’s words – “I can always get the documents redone and get them signed too”
Arnav was so sure of Khushi reaching home, he did not even have a proper excuse for LQ. Khushi later tells him “I cannot believe you would do this with my sister and your brother”. Thing is he would never but he needed her to think he could. And he has!
SN2: SMOKE AND MIRRORS
When Khushi said “office ke papers hain, hain na Arnavji” I was reminded of the suicide milap scene where she went “kyun Arnavji”. Then they were in cahoots to join Payash. Today they were in cahoots to not break them apart.
Akash has begun asking big bro Qs and imparting advice. Level headed, well meaning and soft spoken, this character should be shown picking inconsistencies in what Arnav says. Today’s “How did you know Khushi would be there is a start”

SN3: Family Drama
Are Nani’s words going to be prophetic? - “agli baar jab jaayiyega toh wajah bataake jaayiyega”
Mami asking TF to make chaat – does this mean we will get a family dining table scene. Last time he got some from Lucknow and made it for Khushi at G’s post GH incident. He also made it at RM when he had managed to settle the La living in RM matter b/w Nani and Arnav. Will something give?
SN4: KKGSR and ASR
Arnav claims Khushi means nothing to him yet he recognizes her anklet noise (living room, garden). When she is seeking confirmation on the papers being inconsequential there is a silent exchange b/w them
Arnav knew Khushi would come to the room. And note he said “Mujhe pata tha ki tum MERE paas waapas aaogi” Bitwa mentos moment, you were claiming you wanted her to come back to RM, no?
When she accepts defeat, for a second was there no joy for him in her failure (like in the engagement ring return scene?)
Khushi nailed it with “pehle baat ko bigaadtey hain phir banaate hain” Arnav, you say you do what you think is right, but do you realize that whatever you do thinking to be right invariably messes up things?
Not allowed to sleep on the BED, Khushi totally messes it up with her prancing
SN4: ARHI
Since the office water fight scene, I have been thinking of the ArHi-typewriter-pool scene. Today’s poolside scene reminded me of that
Then Arnav let his typewriter fall and saved Khushi. Today he chooses Khushi again over the all important papers he got signed.
At the office, he let her fall from the 2nd floor, today he pulled her back up, towards him HAQ SE. This is his first Khushi save post the wedding. He sees her falling and is lost. From then on till the eyelock broke, Arnav was lost.
FBs: first set of romantic FBs I think post wedding
He recalls poolside kiss
She remembers diwali diya circle
He recalls diwali lights entanglement
She recalls post sangeet hair let down
Throughout the eyelock, he never blinks. His eyes have an intense look that blaze with the intensity of his feelings for Khushi – the ones he has suppressed. Today, he realizes that Khushi still affects him like always. Towards the end like in the olden days, it was Khushi who stepped back - unable to fathom this sudden look in his eyes. She was reminded of an Arnav who has gone missing within the ASR persona.
SN 5: Finally KAL HOLI HAI – so fingers crossed that at least by Tue, Holi will arrive at IPK land
Like in all earlier festivals, TQ calls Nani to check (wonder what Nani will check in Holi arrangements) and she calls Khushi too.

2. Khushi plans some trick on Arnav for holi - khuraafaati dimaag. She plans to drench her jijaji and drenches Arnav instead.
3. Khushi has a thaal full of colur, they bump into each other, colour flies on both and (FB of Teej sindhoor scene)
4. TQ comes up with some rasam about hubby and wife applying rang to each other first. Arnav wants a HMC moment, so when Khushi applies rang on his cheek, he in turn applies it on her by rubbing his cheek against hers.
5. TF tries to pull a stunt ala SRK in Darr on Khushi and ODB spots him and steps in to protect Khushi
6. Khushi while running away from TF bumps into Arnav at the poolside and both fall in. When they surface for air, nihaarofying scene
7. Khushi makes sugar free gujiya for Arnav and goes all nahii ismain shakkar hai if he picks the wrong one at the table
8. Holi song and dance by NK and Khushi
9. TF spikes Khushi;s drink with bhaang and MB spikes Payal's. But then Arnav and Khushi end up drinking these and finally in a drunken stupor land up in bed all cuddled up.
10. If there is the family members tilak ki holi, khushi applies only to TQ and shies away from TF (yaar match made in heaves, even their nicks begin with the same alphabets). She sorta stomps off and Arnav sees this.
11. RS and Arnav confrontation at Holi. Some idiotic challenge from RS that he will be the first to apply rang on Khushi and Arnav trunps him one. And Khushi doe steh HMC act by applying some on Arnav and hugging him.
Alrite, I think I should log off and catch a few winks. Do not hit me if these are cheesy.
Oh I really hope there's and NK and Khushi dance...Can I add one more...? While Arnav and RRR having there war of words and Arnav is going all sadda haq mai rang pehle lagaunga...Khushi is busy royally ignoring both ASR and RRR and playing with NK and Payash...

THe dictator gets drenched, and there should be a chase scene a la the bedroom today. bitiya running and hiding behind nani.. everyone thinking it is a HMC scene, when really, it is anything but.. and then, suddenly, ODB regaining senses... looking around at everyone laughing at them.. and turns it into a HMC act, some lovey dovey comment.. (like the kangan scene..sigh)

You know esp after today's poolside pull scene - i can so imagine a close-up one for this. Like gargi said sourpuss grumpy ODB refuses to play. So Khushi sneaks up on him and applies colour on his cheek. As she runs away. he catches her and twirls her back towards him - and she has that "I won" look like when the papres drowned and Arnav with a slight smirk and a raise of an eyebros, happily rubs his cheek against hers and applied rang - And Khushi will have this huge WT expression on her face (don't mind him getting all lost in her eyes like he did today in the bargain). Better yet let it happen in the poolside. Once Khushi recovers she can push Arnva and he falls into the pool. As he falls, he clutches her wrist and she too falls in - Happy Holi ArHi!
And yeah let that bhang thingue be the result of a competition. Khushi goes aap woh sab nahi kar sakte jo hum kar sakte hain. Arnav goes mujhe in bachkaani harkaton se koi matlab nahi. Khushi says kyunki aap darte hain ki aap haar jaayenge. ASR will strut, yes strut given his latest victory and say Toh Lagi shart! aur agar main jeeta toh - hmmm (nothing interesting strikes me) and she goes manjoor hai and voila! like in mere brother ki dulhan it all ends up ina "panghat pe naache, naache re naache madhubaala"
Ha Ha Ha!! - the SPA videos and pics of these two looking like a million bucks and my thoughts seem to have run away...

ReplyDeletethe episode was pretty good (minus the saas bahu useless scenes) - and of course the best four points were - 'teen foot pani', 'main chal kay bhi aa sakta hun' and of course - 'i knew you would come back to ME!' by ODB and ODG saying - you always spoil things first and then correct them!!' - true true girl - you know your husband all right!
I only disagree with one point in your post Dia - Your point three - I don't think he needs to 'fall back in love' i think he is still very much in love - never stepped out of it - even during his flashbacks - he was mesmerized and totally lost - right till she stepped back and he came round to the realization that he has to 'Not' be in love with her. And she was amazing - questioning with her eyes - as if to say - why have you changed? cant you remember the past?'
Must hand it to them - these guys are amazing 0 the fake HMC scenes looked fake and the truer moments are so 'true!' (i have officially lost it - i have to remind myself - its all fake - they are just characters in a story! :D)

Loved that ODG was running all over the bed.. and ODB just stood there! Reminds me of little ones and parents... these kids regain their childhood when they're with each other! (remember yesterday's discussion about how both of them had to grow up too early, yada yada)
I'm sure I was not the only one who noticed that ODB came to the right side door from inside, and came out the left side door to the pool. narnia, timeturner, now apparition?
the saas bahu scenes look like they have this banner above them "comedy scene.. please laugh"
I can almost see payal getting exasperated. BTW why is she suddenly participating in stupid contests like " you will be the best bahu if you cut 20 onions in 5 minutes"??? the screenplay needs tweaking, my dear CVs. yep, it was funny, but Deepali was struggling to keep in LQ character and the dialogues were no help... and at the end of the rice game, she was ready to chuck the plate... and I wanted her to!
(and yes! can't the raizadas afford better rice? though, when nautanki poured the rice from the jar, there was nary a speck of black in it..)
I loved Akash in this episode. He knows there is too much drama between the flexi-pair, morning- waterfight, noon- cafe drama, evening- (he did not see ODG's 50m dash).. good that usne shaadi karke mentos khaa liye (M out of the G, folks!)
and that dialogue.. "Hi bhai".. gosh me LOL because that was almost a (hello) hi bhai (bye) :D
love that ODB can just choose not to answer the tricky questions.. and ODG will fill in for wherever he's stumped. (Halwa! make halwa for akash!) Rotfl
his sheer incredulity at her swim comment is still cracking me up!

all in all, the outright hate in ASR's eyes have been replaced for good. (I hope CVs realize that)... now that he has another Rabba ve, only her going and hugging TF will get him to hate her again.. everything else will be given the benefit of doubt. (please please please)
In this context, Arnav's hate today morning(in narnia, not RL) seems kind of an unintentional blooper by the director. That leaving RM game was a challenge, but there was no need to show that much hate if the rabba ve was so near the surface of ODB's armour.
I thought that was the old ASR all along.. but today's rabba ve proved otherwise. I agree with mona now.

ODG's heartbroken and ODB knows she needs support. get us another poolside hug... full hug this time. and then, realization and questions in her eyes.. if he hates her and wants her to hurt, why does her pain bother him? and so much?
these are all normal hug scenarios.. now for the I_want_to_melt_into_you type..
5. ODB gets wind of the true situation.. he comes into the room for the "khushi, i want to talk to you" type diallogue. she comes out of the bath looking all fresh and squeaky clean.. bitwa's control flies out the window...

Just a random thought - do you think Akash Payal will discuss their siblings' peculiar behaviour and realize something is wrong - or do they already know that? Payal knows Khushi is hiding something from her, will Akash also figure it out? Somehow the way they have been showing Payash since the weddings make me wonder if they will be the first to know Shyam's truth - after ArHi, of course.
I would love a small track on Payash doing some joint detective work...Would give Arhi a break from being on screen 24/7 and us a break from Manuuu-Payal scenes

Payash discussing Arnav-Khushi and Akash also realizing that they are both hiding something ... oh yes, show Payal wondering about Shyam and whether she should tell Akash, show her wanting to discuss it with Khushi, Khushi avoiding the topic ...

R family has already begun to thaw to Khushi though Arnav is still sidelined a bit.
Payal was neevr a conversation starter so I hope Akash brings up the office happenings of the day, the meet at the cafe and wonders about their wedding causing Payal to say something. Maybe he asks her if she would happen to know why Khushi may have done something like this as they were close and pls pls let Payal also wonder about that broken engagement b/w TF and Khushi
Hope the Guptas gets invited to RM for holi. Bua sees TF ogling Khushi and recalls the earlier incident and thinks about warning Khushi to be alert now that they are in teh same house - even if she couches it in her concern to safeguard Payal from the family's wrath
ok ok.. #4 is not too hot for SP. but then, I would like this show to air on SW. Then the diwali night there would have been a tonsillectomy kiss. and then all the questions after that would have made more sense. heck I wish the CVs at least implied that it was a kiss... not a near miss.

Aww, thanks Jaya and Shilpi ... it's the actors, they do a good job, that's all ... so the credit goes to them. When I watch other shows - and I do watch a couple of others, I never feel the same way, that I can extrapolate their thoughts.

So the cv's who have created the characters would obviously also make them behave pretty similarly.

ReplyDeleteDia i agree - the positive point (or the problem - depends on how you look at it) is that there are so many open points in the story - so many loose ends - the CVs should definitely begin tieing them all into the main story - will make it richer and we wont then mind a few non-Arhi moments (alert - few only!) for example -i know they ave been recently married but i find it extremely hard to believe that someone who is as close to her sister as Payal is supposed to be - does not discuss her (Khushi's) unusual wedding with her husband - and a brother who is close enough to understand his brother and appreciate him for his 'taking care of the family' type of things as Akash - how can he not be curious to discuss this with his wife (especially since the bhabi and wife are sisters!) i mean does he not even ask - "hello, what the hell happened?" and Payal does not seem to remember that her new BIL was after Khsuhi - Amnesia???
And as we have no new episode to discuss = have one more question - Anjali seems just as clueless as always about her husband (is hanging on his sleeve and talking of baby blanket - PS. TF is by far the best name for him :D) - then why is she always so exasperated with everyone? even mami - she does not smile anymore - is always frowning? - was catching up with some old episodes (pre and post diwali) and realized she was just as clueless about ODB and ODG falling in love as she is about her husband, but she was always smiling and even happy and tolerant of mami. so why the change?

SI looked absolutely amazing and so did BS, loved how he was keeping to character, toning down the trademark BS laugh, and went with the ASR smile.
The IPK set has been changing this past week.. maybe they got more funding.. new clothes, furnishings... things are looking up. I hope interesting things happen in the coming week!

I liked the turnout of the marigold family - most of them were more sober - especially the older ones. I like them a lot anyway ... wish the guy, Alok, had got the best father award, rather than that Sajjan Singh ... Alok is a really nice character, even better than Badi Maa in many ways.
Lamp and wick - the guy looked okay, the girl was a bit gaudy for my taste, so was the older sister from Behna show - the younger couple were okay.
Whom I really liked, after our R&G parivar of course ;), were Shaleen and his new girl from the Sajda show - again well-dressed, not OTT.
But Raizada parivar was simply CLASSY ... from the limo, to our very elegant and sophisticated ASR, to fairy princess Khushi - she looked every inch a Mrs Raizada, classy, stunning and beautiful ... Anjali wore one of the prettiest net saris I've seen her wearing ... Shyam and NK also looked good ... Manorama Mami was dressed true to her character, so she was the only OTT one!
We really have a very good looking cast, I must say :)))
Dia, you guys are amazing- loved your descriptions - don't watch the rest of the shows so took me a min to realize who was the 'lamp and the wick' and 'marigold family!!" - but who are the purple oddities? still cant place them - i only saw one small clip of ODB&G and did not spot anjali there - sure she must have worn a pretty saree - she has the best clothes in the family for sure

Yes...The absolutely stylish entry were the Raizadas in their limo...Of course our ODB and ODG were looking so sophisticated and stylish in their classy outfits...SI and BS are the BEST! Especially compared to all the other jodis...ASR and his KKGSR were, are and will always be in a different league altogether! Muah!

Agree with you on MB LQ scenes - hope teh chaat gives us a dining table scene, Khushi refusing TF's chaat and NK saying but desi girl i thot u loved it and ODB is around to hear it.
Akash seems to be waking up slow and steady. (someone made a comment on hello hi bhai bye - was damn funny) Some more of this and Arnav will be squirming under the cross- questioning. Thing with Akash is he states facts in the most non-aggressional manner. Now hoping LQ picks up some of this with her sis. But she seems busy with needle work these days (should we christen her NQ now as the RM has a washing machine?)
The ArHi scenes were super cute. Khushi letting her childish nature shine (not the responsible bread winner for her family) and arnav having to keep 'reprimanding' her. Telling her you came back to me and you will stay with me for the next 6 months - and yet not realizing what he says!
And I realized her natraj ki murti and DM murti are still at GH :(
Thoughts 1 to 7 are good, adding my shiddat to them.
ArHi really looked cool and classy at SPA. Sanaya looked nice. I think costumes and vehicles are SP funded so maybe they already had an inkling IPK was winning so much ;)Did you see teh YT link on their acceptance speech. That short bust of laughter was so Barun!
Ironicall, I think one real life jodi who was present at the awards were Daljeet and Shaleen though with their co-stars
Sandy, most of the actors were in their screen avatars ... Jeevika even wore her bridal chooda bangles. Khushi was actually the only one not in her Khushi avatar, so I'm guessing the clothes were her own choice. The vehicles ... hmmm, probably SP funded, they definitely did reflect the shows to quite an extent ...
DeleteQuestion - were all these awards popular choice? International viewers could vote for 4-5 categories, I know - but the rest? Or were they decided mainly by SP? The three top TRP shows - DABH, SNS and YRKKH got 2-3 awards each, IPKKND got 5, Behna got 3 ... Suhana got 1, Pratigya got 1 (I think) ... seems like SP did have a hand in it, by making sure the awards were more or less equally distributed among the top shows.
Me too noticed that Shaleen and Daljeet were both at the awards, but with their costars, not with each other ;)
Back to IPKKND, yep, LQ gets promoted to NQ or SQ (Sewing Queen) ... I guess the Raizadas have a washing machine! But where have all the Prakash's disappeared? There was one lone HP managing the house during the wedding - has he taken leave due to exhaustion after the double dhamaka?
I watched the edited ArHi scenes - they flow so much better without the MB-NQ fillers ... have posted the link above. Agree with you, they were childish, seems like Arnav is also enjoying getting his childhood back when he fools around with Khushi ... Rekha, Mona and Gargi were discussing above that Arnav Khushi have a big age gap - and I think it showed in that scene - Khushi has also been burdened with responsibilities beyond her age, so she lets her hair down with Arnav and acts the child, and he enjoys it!
But oh gosh, that look he gives her during their eyelock ... burning hot ... no wonder she couldn't meet his eyes ...
Even that Akshara babe was not in screen avatar. neither was Maanvi.

If Arnav is good at mind games involving deals, Khushi's mind games in these pranks is too good. So I am hoping CVs show how she confounds him while bringing out the child in him - a tender moment like the face main besan ka batter or the NK aap bahut budhiyaa ho.

I think the costumes were decided by SP - just watched part of the video posted on IF, where SGP Ishaan says that he's wearing what he was given, and Sanaya says that Arnav was not happy with her so she's done a makeover :P ... this girl is a scream! And Barun acting totally nonplussed ... like who me?! Hilarious duo!

I still feel Sanaya had a say in her own outfit ... it was very her, and white is one of San's favourite colors. And Barun most likely had a say in his too. Daljeet and Abhaas were true to their screen characters, Barun Sanaya were a mix of BS/SI and ArHi.
But Barun does need to brush up .. he speaks very little, I saw Ishaan and the DABH guy - both speak well and fluently. In fact Ishaan and Ragini are better hosts than actors. And Sanaya just takes over when both she and Barun are together ... she has good people skills.
Can't get over some of the girls saying they're looking simple ... even Jeevika, she was looking pretty, but heavy lehnga and overladen with jewelry, and she says she's a simple bahu! I think Barun and Sanaya were the only two who didn't talk much about their looks at all, and if they did, in very self-deprecating way - Barun toh didn't mention much except once to say he's looking oily! Such a cute pair!
I want more of those seering hot looks ... and him remembering why he's so attracted to her ... high time bitwa's brain started waking up ... either that or his hormones! Brain attack RRR, hormones attack Khushi ... viewers happy :)))

Khushi is all set yaar for the hormone attack. After all it was her idea to gift him the fire extinguisher tho she claimes it was for his anger. Maybe she knew it would be for the passion unleashed soon;)
Barun from all the interviews does not like to speak much it seems. He is very forthright and to the point. He is only vocal around people he is comfortable with.
I have always felt he came across as rustic - chk his Hindi the way he speaks. Also speaks with a light lisp / slur. His English I guess is accented cos of some accent training course. He also seems fiercely protective of his personal life and any associated details. I think I read someplace he is a Leo.
I think he is comforatble speaking what he is given but improvising is not a forte. And I am guessing having some behenji as partner would not have helped.
He was the only one who honestly said, I look oily - all the others were full of self praise. The very pretty was a throwback to the diwali SaRun interview. And how cute was that bit where he says 'SI u r looking like a princess - very pretty seriously' and SI goes, well u all know BS is a very good actor :) These 2 were dressed subtle and I liked that. Somehow in character even for SI (after all fashion tycoon's wifey;)) and she also wore the colours red and white - the SP colours.
Yes the STPM couple also looked simple and not OTT - incharacter.

ReplyDeleteToday for the first time since the terrace event, he recalled tender moments in FBs correct? So far, apart from the wedding and post wedding tamaasha, he only saw the ones where she made him weak / feel vulnerable only correct?
Today he was lost, his eyes trying to delve into her very core to try and find the truth about what kind of a person she was. And hers seemed to ask him where have u gone away what has happened between us, why has so much changed? Looking down as she cannot resist the allure of his eyes and that physcial proximity and then finally stepping away breaking the eyelock - releasing Arnav from his trance!
Yes more such moments are needed to remind Arnav of his feelings for her; of how she reciprocated to him in these tender moments, how her abashful eyes and quivering lips told him that his nearness affects her.
He alsready loves having the spunky Khushi back - the one who dares him and challenges him - who never tires of contradicting him. Now his heart just needs to thaw and fall in love all over again...

Sandy, the bangles fb's when he dropped her back at GH for the pag phera - the fb's there were also the softer ones, right? So slowly, he HAS started remembering their moments, when they were close, when they were falling for each other, when they were affected by each other ... and important for Arnav to remember, when SHE was equally affected by him ... whereas all he saw with Shyam was her pushing Shyam away forcefully ... and he did see that part.
DeleteWhen Arnav has been with Khushi, she has almost never (not for a long time) pushed him away ... it's always been a slow, reluctant 'coming back to earth' kind of feeling. And he really needs to start seeing the difference ... though he also needs to start seeing her avoid Shyam in RM ... that chaat scene we visualised would be a good start - if it happens. Too often the cv's throw in dialogues and never follow them up!

Even today she never pushed him away more like a flustered step back like on Diwali not knowing how they had landed up here and what was happening.
A scene sometime after Holi where they talk of Khushi's parents barsi and Arnav's heart reaching out to her - FBs from those days will be nice.

(Sincere Advice to BARUN though: He is in the television industry, he might have to make time for the shows, maybe anchoring them and ofcourse hone his dancing skills. Even in our regular jobs we keep acquiring new skills relevant to the job right..if not for anyone else...just to gain knowledge and Improve our own skill set.)
Having said that,
The Suave Classy Arnav Singh Raizada paired with an Auntiji & Behenji....DUH and they expect Chemistry from that *HEAD DESK*
He should have been paired with Khushi, Maanvi, Jeevika...That would have been super duper cool.
On second thoughts, the person who decided this must have a strange sense of humor, cos if these two characters ever came in our show, he will be all WT...?
Oh and no disrespect to the actresses concerned, just the characters and even then only pointing out the chalk and cheese combo.

DeleteI used to like KSG once upon a time, the guy was a good actor before his fame went to his head ... but he was a bad dancer - he signed up for a couple of the dance reality shows, and worked hard on his dancing skills ... and he improved a lottt.
Barun, if he wants to make it big on the small screen, and especially if he has dreams of making it to the big screen (he could, he has the looks and the talent), really needs to work on a few things - dialogue enunciation is one, and dancing is another. Public speaking would be a third, but that would come with time and practice.
Totally with you on Sanaya not winning individually ... WT, WT, WT ... grrrr ...
But waise, she has won two awards already, even before she was such a big star - New Face of the year when MJHT started, and Most Stylish at one of the award functions - I think ITA ... even more credit to her as these happened when she wasn't so big as she is now ... so I have reconciled :) She has therefore won a Naya sadasya and Stylish already ... theek hai! Barun has just caught up with her!

I think that's been proved beyond doubt. Even someone in the DABH forum wh0 watched both shows, said the same thing.

From what i have seen of BS on SBS/B, he appears a bit shy off camera and not the kind, who pushes his persona like normally folks in showbiz. The very fact that he took up this challenge to host a live event is very gud...he is taking those baby steps to get ahead..Sometimes, guys like BS will take time to internalise the environment that they are now so exceedingly part of..and best part is they will do that with style and panache in their own time.

Felt really bad for the sasural gendha phool and BALH guy..the BALH guy is actually not bad looking and quite articulate when he spoke-but no one could have pulled off that blue outfit they's put him in. And I will not comment on the Gopi- Ahem wardrobe disaster- you guys covered that;-)
I agree about Barun...so much potential but needs some work. The dancing is still ok but he really needs to enunciate more. Its very important to be articulate for an actor. Even when they do interviews Barun usually lets Sanaya do the talking, not that he cant talk well he's just comfortable taking a back seat...

Sandy, Dia...he keeps having these flashbacks but nothing can happen til he doubts what he's seen. Because there's no way he'll allow himself to act on anything if he still has this home breaker opinion of Khushi...he can only start falling back in love or rather accepting he's still in love with her if he starts having some doubts and there are some discrepencies in the Shyaam -khushi love story (borrowing dettol to rinse from Sandy)...
Gargi, it is DABH and not BALH, which is a sony show starrying Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. I like the hero of DABH (although I did not like his flashy dress). He is a brilliant actor and I love his character, Suraj, in the show, the only reason I am still watching it despite it having become fairly regressive of late. He is Arnav's exact anti-thesis, a guy who is so caring and loving that he will go to any extent to help his wife out in the madhouse they live in without letting her know how much he really is doing. He reads her expressions, understands her difficulties, empathises with her and bails her out time and time again. The epitome of unconditional and selfless love.

Want to know what you ladies think - i know we have been talking about the great RTR for ODB to walk but am i biased coz i really cant think that it is so very long - before i get clambered by all khushi supporters (of which i am huge part - quite literally!) - hear me out:
ODB, in my view had a lot of RTR to travel when he was ASR - he was rude and mean to her coz HE did not want to fall for girl and get involved. he was obnoxious only coz, as he said to his Di (who was all - one day you shall meet the girl jo agar tumhay na mili to tumhari saanain...)- "if i meet such a girl - i will make sure i stay away from her" - So basically he was rude to her coz he was not ready to be involved! case in point the fateful Diwali night!
But since the wedding - i really cant see anything that he has done that is so very bad and not in character! Except - him sleeping on the bed whilst she is outside - that is unforgivable! (they could have shown him being restless at least and sleeping on the couch - but then she would have been suspicious, so him sleeping on the couch but not letting her know in some way would have been better)
I also understand that it is unforgivable for him to have suspected her without giving her a chance to speak up - but we all agree that his past has been to blame for that - he really cant trust anyone - the only ones he trusted (apart from his immediate family) were TF and ODG and he knows TF is the bad guy so by extension he sees no reason to doubt that ODG is also the villain here!

Mona, to me it is not so much what he did post marriage but what he didn't. I fully understand his mindset when he took this foolish decision to blackmail Khushi into a fixed term marriage. He had nearly lost his sister in an accident. As if that is not enough, he is eager to confess his love to Khushi when he sees her in the arms of his bro-in-law and worse, hears him tell her that he does not love his wife but only her. The final nail was hearing her ask that creepo to leave his wife. He confronts his bro-in-law who gloats that there is nothing he can do and that Anjali was the only hurdle separating Khushi (who by the way loves him as much) and him. He learns that his sister is pregnant and so he cannot risk telling her the truth. Shyam knows his weakness and gloats some more. So he took an impulsive decision to take care of what he thought was one side of the problem by marrying Khushi.
DeleteWhat I fail to understand is his continued belief that Khushi is still one of the culprits even after witnessing how broken she was when her family cut their ties with her and her sister was giving her the cold shoulder. The woman was prepared to do anything to save her sister's marriage including accepting his unreasonable proposal for marriage and coming back to the RM under threat of a Payash divorce. Now, isn't it strange that a woman who cares so much for her sister's happiness would risk encouraging that sister's would-be sister-in-law's husband to ditch his wife so that she can be with him? If she had eloped with Shyam after he breaks up with Anjali, would it not break up Payal's marriage as the Raizadas would not want anything to do with the Guptas after what she had done to them? Why does this thought not strike him? We know his dimaag works well to manipulate her back into RM. So can he not use even one tenth of that shrewdness to atleast wonder about this apparent contradiction in his thoughts and her actions?

Yep You're right Mona...None of us are blaming him for how he's behaving in light of what he thinks...but we're all sort of questioning the fact that he believed it so quickly...(Yep we know it was required for the story to move ahead- but delusional as we all are we're treating them like real people).
DeleteSo its more of post hoc ergo proctor hoc situation...we keep adding miles to the RTR when he does things that are completely justified if Khushi were in fact the 'bad guy' but because his dimaag went on holiday at a crucial juncture and is not realizing that she isn't the 'bad guy' those acts are adding to the never ending yellow brick RTR.
Don't worry we're all just as pro Arnav as we are pro Khushi- actually we're all pro Arhi more than anything else...and I've said this before...Sucks to be Arnav...
Eventually the MU will get cleared and poor Arnav is going to feel like a shmuck even though he also had is heart broken and sacrificed everything for his family. And at that point Khushi will be in the right and will at least have claim to indignance and anger. Arnav is suffering now...and will suffer even more once the truth comes out... I say it again...Sucks to be Arnav...:-)

DeleteI hear you. And it is to this stage of self-introspection that he needs to progress to.
Relating to people is through the peopl you care for:
1. Khushi calls her Naniji as she is Anjali and Arnav's nani. She does nto think of her as her jiji's dadi.
2. Arnav still thinks of Payal as Khushi's sister not Akash's wife. Hence he is unable to make teh leap to his Di being Payal's nanad. Khushi had mentioned this at the haldi poolside scene but Arnav has not assimilatd this fact within him.
About why he is not recalling all the earlier mention of Shyam, we had discussed this earlier. Right now he is very upset that the girl whom he chose to love (WHOM HE CHOSE TO LOVE) dared to love someone else. And that too HIS sister's husband. Arnav is not one who lets go of grudges easily (the first scene where he buys back sheesh mahal). He does not talk about it with other neither does he talk about it to himself. For now he is hell bent on punishing her. This small win over her will hopefully soothe his ego a bit and give him some thinking space.
For him to recall those mentions of the earlier PG, someone needs to make an appropriate comment and he will. It needs to be triggered. He needs to recall all the scenes you mentioned above AND that scene where he and Anjali were talking about Khushi's unhappiness at the engagement and how Arnav said if she is unhappy then why is she doing it.
Whenever there is a critical memory to be recalled, see how Anjali is always part of it. His trust in her is complete and beyond suspicion. I always wonder how he would react if there comes a time when that trust is broken
He needs to reach a point where he trusts Khushi as much. Till date her reactions and dialogues have only served to further confirm his MU. Now hopefully withh her staying on we will see more mind games from Khushi towards both Shyam and Arnav - to thwart one and confuse another

Common thread in both sets of FBs - Arnav acts and Khushi remains pliant and receptive.
As mentioned by many here he remembers the more erotic moments between them (when he has been more of the Harlequin hero) and she remembers those moments when he has been gallant and flirtatious (when he has been more of the Mills and Boon Hero).
Here is another way of looking at the FBs:
His FBs were recollections of incidents around the pool. This is in tune with his way of thinking. He responds to the immediate surroundings - in this case being Khushi's near fall into the pool and his instinctive save. So that triggers memories of pool related incidents, which given the effect Khushi has on his senses, were the more erotic ones - the gentle kiss and the more suggestive disentangling of the lights.
Her FBs were not of incidents near the pool but related to his act - of saving her first and then pulling her close to him. So she remembers the incident when he led her out of the lamps she had inadvertently surrounded herself with -(the save aspect and then remembers the incident when he let her hair down, which is symbolic of encouraging her to shed her inhibitions (the physical closeness aspect).
And look at the FBs that both of them had relating to lights.
He remembers saving her from electric lights, lights which she herself had gotten entangled in. It was a risky save because he did not switch them off first. She got mild shocks before he stepped in to do the needful. This is much like the present situation. She has gotten herself embroiled in this messy Shyam affair. He has chosen the more arduous path of blackmailing her into a fixed term marriage to solve the problem. In the process she is getting hurt but he is unmindful of that for deep down I guess he subconsciously knows he will save her.
She remembers him leading her out of the more traditional lights. This time too it was her doing that she got caught amidst the diyas and he rescues her. She had her gaze fixed on him and was not looking down to see where the lamps were placed, showing immense faith in his judgment in leading her out. This shows that subconsciously she is hoping that he knows what he is doing in the present situation where he has locked both of them in an unwilling marriage. She wants to have that implicit faith in him as she had back then but too much has happened since then for her to regain that faith.

I liked your lights analysis, makes a lot of sense if you put the two together. In both the Diwali lights and the circle of diyas, she got herself entangled/ stuck ... and he brought her out. Echoes of the current situation, where one wrong step of hers - not telling Anjali or Arnav the truth - has got her into this mess. And he is the one who will get her out eventually ...
I would take the Diwali electric lights one further. He could have just switched off the lights first before unentangling her - it would have been safer, but he also got lost in her and didn't do it the sensible way. Instead he took what could be termed the round about way - entangling her with the lights still on, i.e the danger still there ... similarly, here he didn't take the sensible path of confronting her, asking the facts, or even doing some fact-finding himself - he took the knee-jerk path of marrying her because he was lost in her himself.
And agree with the interpretation that she believes in him enough that he will take her out of this mess ... she trusts him - the stepping out of the circle of diyas is an indicator of that - she puts her hand in his, and steps forward with him, not even looking at the lighted diyas, just following his lead ... a bit like what she is doing now - she questions him but only in private - in front of the families, she never gives him away.
If the letting her hair down had been the scene with NK rather than the post TM one, it could have been further extrapolated that he let her hair down, but only to cover her, protect her ... the post TM one was more possessive "I like you this way" ... but again, if she sees it as a symbol of possessiveness, all the more reason for her to go along with what he's doing, hoping that he does think of her in all this. He has after all, never said explicitly that he's doing this for his sister ... if he did, she would get the truth right away.
Thanks Dia for putting across my thoughts more eloquently than I did. Yes, he took the more round about route to address the problem instead of the sensible one, be it in the fairy light sequence or the present case and as you pointed out it was because he was too caught up in her. Yes, he has made things more hard for themselves but he will extricate her from the mess, even if in the interim he ends up hurting her.

DeleteVery nicely contextualized the FBs. Talking of the lights un-entanglement, by not switching off the power, Arnav exposed not just Khushi but himself to the possibility of getting a shock. A very apt fit for the current situation, where both are open to hurt from a 3rd entity - TF. It was TQ who switched off the power and came asking for the matter while inadvertently coming between ArHi. Will she say something that will get Arnav thinking this time too?
Arnav is reminded of his passion and her trust on him. Also how she is affected by him.
Khushi recalls how he had extricated her from a mess she had created for herself while always protecting her honour (the release of hair).And she is reminded of the passion / unsaid emotion she has seen in his eyes earlier, just like today.
Khushi's nature is such that she has always trusted Arnav - to fix things, to look out for people/family. Arnav began with mistrust for Khushi and had reached a point where he had begun to appreciate her willpower and naivete. It was the strength of her character / her moral values that I think drew him to her and a shattering of that reflection is what has shattered him so much. Strength of character in a woman is something he appreciates (his indifferent treatment of La and Mami but respect for Nani).
Opti, a very interesting observation, I must say..
ReplyDeleteU know the thing about IPK is that the scenes of the lead pair, specially, is open to many interpretations..., part of it derived by the baggage ARHI carry in their relationship and how their characters have been written and how they are perceived. ARHI has somehow acquired, in my opinion, a larger than "life" connotation and here we are actually talking about fictional parts.
I am very inclined to go with Opti's interpretation of the diya sequence...to me it pretty much looks like ODG is having/ or wants to have that implicit faith in ODB. I say this in the context of her dialogue "aap pehle kaam bigadte hain ...." I wondered about the significance for the future and now the Opti analogy fits it to a T.
Opti, I liked your interpretation of Arnav's FB too...As viewers, not knowing what Arnav thinks is a little frustrating...he is more vague than other parts, u know..but still waters run deep. Even if Arnav does not realise all this while he is having that FB, I can see the symbolism reflect through the scene. I am usually very poor at deciphering these things but your thots made a lot of sense

Rekha, intense couples like Arshi always make people want to analyse their behaviour. I used to be a Maaneet addict (Maan and Geet from GHSP) and believe me that show too had so many scenes which could be interpreted in so many different ways.

DeleteTalking of what is going on in Arnav's mind, here is what I think.
ReplyDelete1.Arnav has heard Khushi use Shyam's name while talking to him over the phone after the engagement. So he must know that her ex-fiance is none other than his rascal jiju.
2.He knows that Khushi was terribly disturbed the day her engagement broke. She seemed to be running away from something when she banged into him near the pool. He had also noticed that she looked upset when she was being introduced to Shyam by the Raizadas and ran away. So that should make him think that Khushi was not aware of Shyam's true identity till that day and that is the reason the engagement fell through.
3.Arnav should know that her ex-fiance lived as a paying guest in her bua's house because this was told in his presence when they had come to fix up Payal's wedding. So he can be under the impression that Khushi fell in love with Shyam during his stay as PG. Now this itself cannot be a crime because going by point no.2, he should be aware that she did not know about Shyam's marital status till that day when he saw a distraught Khushi by the pool. So she was free to fall in love with a man she thought was a bachelor but had even value to break off with him when she found that he was married.
4. He witnesses the terrace scene, which if he had clearly seen showed that Shyam was hugging Khushi but she wasn't reciprocating the hug. In fact she pushed him away forcefully asking him indignantly why was he still with Anjali if he did not love her. Now given the first three points he could conclude that although Khushi is not in favour of having an affair with a married man, she is still very much in love with him. So she was demanding that he ditches his wife so that she can love him freely.

ReplyDelete5. There is only one hitch in this entire thought process (if indeed this is how he had interpreted the entire Shyam-Khushi affair). If she was so much in love with Shyam as point number 4 indicated, why was she leading him on? Why was she so pliant to all his overtures? She did not slap him when he kissed her by the pool but ran away only to kiss him in front of his entire family. Why did she allow him to sensually disentangle the fairy lights or put on the payal on her feet? Why did she allow him to get close enough to kiss her lips? Why could she not take her eyes off him and fed the leaf plates to the cow? He knows that she is physically attracted to him. Does he think that she enjoys male attention from any man even if she may not be in love with him? Probably. She did openly flirt with NK. So he may be thinking this girl likes to make men dance to her tunes.
6.Coming to the scenes post their marriage, he has witnessed first hand that her family and her sister mean the world to this girl. So it should strike him as odd that a girl who cares so much for her family would have encouraged a man to leave his wife, especially when that wife happens to be the sister-in-law of her sister. If she contemplated eloping with the man, it would have surely broken up her sister's marriage and he has enough proof now to show that this is the last thing she would want. She is prepared to go to any lengths to save her sister's marriage. So clearly something doesn't add up here.
7.Another thing that does not add up is her continued ignorance of the reason he married her. She seems to be in the dark as to why he married her even after he let it slip that she had hurt him. Wouldn't Shyam have alerted her by now about how Arnav had caught sight of their interaction in the terrace? She got thrown away from her house during pug phere and yet instead of seeking out Shyam she goes to the temple. Now why would she do that? He could think that she is not in talking terms with Shyam because she did look disgusted when she came to know of Anjali's pregnancy. They could be having a lover's tiff over this issue but if Khushi has a problem with Anjali's pregnancy, would she not do her best to ensure she has a miscarriage? That is not the case, though. She doesn't blow his cover even after she learns his PDA was for the benefit of Anjali. Strange behaviour on her part, ain't it?
From all the above points, if Arnav's brains are thinking logically, at best he has to exonerate her completely from his unspoken thoughts of her conniving with Shyam to break up his sister's marriage. At worst he could presume that she is a love sick woman who is not averse to some male attention on the side but she does have her set of morals which would not allow her to have an affair with a married man.
Taking the worst case scenario where he thinks she is in love with Shyam , he could still take up the challenge of winning her over for he obviously cannot get over her. Now that would be the sweetest revenge he can have on his rascal jiju, who is the real culprit any which way he sees this.

But honestly, if he decided on the latter alternative, even if it was with the final aim of winning her heart and then throwing her over once he flaunted his win in Shyam's face, it would at least be using his brains for the right target ... right now, all his energies are misdirected completely - to keeping Khushi at RM. Hopefully now that he's accomplished that, his brain can start working in other directions also.
Hope so too Dia. Would hate to see Arnav continue to believe the worst of Khushi and taking out his anger and frustration on her only to finally be told the truth by Payal or Khushi.

He should begin to ask himself some serious questions and even if he does not get to the bottom of it at first go, he will at least be on the alert and piece the puzzle on his own in due course.
A longer reply to what you wrote above, Opti ... basically I agree with what you said ... the question is how to get his mind to start asking those questions? If ODG gets an inkling of the truth, it's not of much use, because ODB's mind is shut and on dharna ... so whatever she says, he will not listen to ... as you put it above, he could feel that she is faking her feelings for him, she likes the attention of all guys, NK, him ... she leads them all on ...
DeleteSo he has to get some sort of jhatka himself ... either see or hear something incriminating RRR, or RRR do the needful and incriminate himself ... something which alerts him that RRR may not be speaking the truth about Khushi's feelings ... that is the only thing which will kickstart his dimaag into action along the right direction. As long as he feels Shyam was telling the truth about Khushi's feelings, he can't apparently think further than that ... so IMO, the first crack has to come from there.

DeleteRead what you wrote earlier. Even if Arnav chooses to win back Khushi as a challenge, in the process of winning her back he needs to fall for her all over again all for himself. I do not want him to do it only for winning Shyam. But yes if that gets his mind going in the right direction, let it be the starter, but not the only reason at the end.

Arnav taken things as he sees it, as per the present circumstances (u also said teh same). We do not see monologues becuase he never has any. He is not one to dwell on the past. He looks at the present and sees what needs to be done for the future. His past affects him but he does not willingly think of it. Only when the present overwhlems him, some part of the past slips in.
All the incidents we speak of have been in the past. He needs to see something in the present for his mind to start coming out of hibernation.
Though I do want Khushi to avoid and refuse Shyam, Arnav at present may just perceive this as a jilted lover's reaction.(dettol rinse...) Even if khushi manages to give Shyam pineapple, I realized if it gets Anji worked up Arnav is going to lose it rather than think about it.
Alternatively th epresent genertaes situations which are a constant reminder of the past. Of the moments when both were affected by each other. But will Arnav interpret them in the correct manner?
So yes a slip up from Shyam in Khushi's favour seems to make the most sense for now. Plus Arnav's mind is extra alert only with Shyam.
SN1: As far as the family is concerned, Shyam was not in town when the GH incident occured?
If he says something in that context will Arnav catch it?
Will mamiji make a statement about how since the payash wedding Damadji has stopped going on tours and is always at home?
SN2: Shyam is actively influencing Anjali to believe there is something amiss in the ArHi marriage. Could Khushi hear this and come and tell Arnav that Shyamji suspects and we need to get out act together so that Anjaliji is not stressed.
For now, Khushi's actions will not make an impact on Arnav's thinking unless they are a direct measure to protect / nurture / care for Anjali.

DeleteOh and Shyam was not around when news of Payal's first marriage being broken came up during the havan. Neither were Arnav or Khushi so that bluff will also not work like with the jalebis.
Apart from Shyam, Payal and Khushi no one at RM knows that the leaked fashion show videos caused Khushi harm and resulted in her and the family having to move to Delhi from Lucknow.
Only Khushi, babuji and Shyam know Shyam has followed Khushi all the way from Lucknow.
Will Anjali make a comment to Nani on how much the Gupta parivaar has endured:
1. Payal's broken 1st marriage
2. Khushi's broken engagement
3. Khushi's elopment
Arnav overhears this (like after the cocktail party) and recalls how Khushi hid things for the sake of others's happiness including him

Thank you soooooooooo much for the edited version of the episode. I loved it from the moment Khushi snatched the papers. Arnav's incredulous and exasperated expressions ...... Khushi's innocence brilliantly played by the two. I would be surprised to know if they took more then 2 hours to finish their entire part.

DITTO agree with you. Bitwa has known it from the very beginning that Khushi bothers him ..... but for her it was not until she left the office. So obviously her reactions with always be late. By the time he will be repenting and start loving her passionately, she will start with her true hatred and then eventually LOVE EACHOTHER track will come by ..... 300th episodes maybe

Opti can’t agree more on FB’s. Bitwa does reacts and responds to his immediate surroundings, while she trust him, even before she remembers the FB’s where she says first you do wrong and then you right them, and hence her FB’s are of the situations related to where he right’s the wrong the mess they get in.

Yepiiie when they were showing stars of each show coming I was sure R’s would drive ASR’s SUV . Dam that Limo was classy. They are way apart from other shows. SN1 random thought why did ODG call herself KKGSR and KASR? Maybe because for her bitwa hasn’t still given her right of wife between them although as he said they will act as married couple. Hence still uses KKG. Married with presence of DM, with MS and Sindhoor and accepted by Raizadas she is the bhau now hence the Singh Raizada and ASR. But I so wish she uses KASR in front of TF during the holi that our Bitwa gets his mentos moment.

Yep saw the pic sandy but now looks like holi is in some farm house. so the Arhi holi scene on poolside is going to different. and with Nani-khushi dance. Now where does this TQ-TF scenes fit? because the clothes they are wearing looks more of a festive collection then Holi. and why do i see a poolside from TQ TF room or they are in Arhi's room.?

As for Holi, did you notice a gazebo. Do u remember the last time these 2 were in a gazebo?
For all we know they will say these are extended ground of the house or better yet let it be farmhouse. Chances to ship off the family home while ArHi stay back as both r too drunk :)
TQ-TF scenes could be the choti holi night - the day they do the holika burning. Next morning would be the rangonwaali holi.
These scenes are needed cos TF plays his mind games on TQ and if she is softening towards ArHi, it will be a problem for TF

I think there are definitely two pools for sure, one that can be seen from the living room, (where K kissed A) and the other (where A kissed K)..
Incidentally, the Friday rabba ve was not shot not in A's poolside. If u look closely, khushi runs out of Arnav's room but she comes out of the other poolside(living room one), my guess, they had to do this becos of the camera angles. A's poolside room may not have facilitated the perched camera angles... Of course as Sandy put it, Arnav's room doubles up as TQ's room as well..whenever poolside scenes are reqd for sure.
Yaar, this RM architecture is subject of great research, bas PHD milnee baki hain. I just realised that IPK team does not have to go far if they are scouting for consultants for their team, prop specialists, fashion consultants, continuity managers, scene visualisers etc...slots will get filled up easily...

proof: on the wedding day, arnav took khushi to his pool from the mandap.. talked to her about stopping payals wedding.. and said.. "look. see them waiting? decide fast" and camera showed that khushi could see them waiting.. BIG blooper.

DeleteOne doubt still remains....that being the entrance to the living room pool looks a little different from the entrance of the alleged A's poolside....meaning the entrance looks narrow in A's case and wide in the living room one...this debate will go on until Dia shuts us up or ARHI decide to have some mercy on us and get on with their love story

Ok my two bits on the pool/s?
DeleteThis is how i make sense of it:
There is one pool - doors to it are from ASR's room - he has two doors running into it - remember the mud in eye shot - and the diwali shot - def. two doors to his pool.
this pool should be at first floor level - hence next to his room and hence only three feet deep!
And it should be covered from one side with the staircase that is going up (on the north), ASR's room on the east - the wall with the creepers on the west and the french windows on the south (which have the very big plants closing the view (the ones ASR is always 'pruning' with his 'hathiyaar'!) - now this view becomes very clear when he wants to show KKG the scene of the wedding!
It would have made so much sense if no other room would lead to the pool but ASR's (he is a private person and needs the space) except the staircase which is accessible to all and all the family uses the pool only as a common space once in a while like the time when TF was trying to kill wifee or when they were all talking of stars!
Also is the same pool Anjali did up for Payash (and as the family was generally using it - they used the staircase to come there - not through ASR's room
finally ASR talks of the poolside as "mera kamra" when ODG asks him to stay away during the bangle retrieval from pool scene!
Bloopers:
When KKG heard ASR say he was going to marry La, she could see him - which no level of physics can justify unless she was watching from the same vantage point as when she was viewing the wedding (but bad editing made it seem like KKG was looking across at ASR not from a height!)
Also when ASR was watching KKG in La's room across his window - wrong shot - he has no windows in his room except for the one leading to the pool and no room visible from the pool!
Boy am i wasting time or what - need to complete my reports

DeleteDia is right. there is only one pool. They change the room furnishings and plants to show that it is either ASR's or anjali's or the common pool. Thats why I said there is one pool ON SET, and three pools IN THE STORY.

ReplyDeleteJust watched the SBS - so Khushi apparently comes disguised and is unmasked, and Anjali is all smiles, but Arnav is not amused ... so TF's efforts to poison Anjali's mind against ArHi marriage have obviously not worked - if he made them, that is.
Not surprising, actually - Anjali has always been very pakka about Khushi - she ticked off TF even earlier when he tried to stop her from employing Khushi as La's trainer - or when he tried to stop her from calling Khushi back when she refused to take any payment for her work. So this gels with Anjali's previous character, and could also gel with it if what we discussed is correct, and she actually knows about TF's truth.
And now Nani also accepts Khushi back wholeheartedly ... so two tracks - Khushi still trying to ferret out the truth, and Arnav's dimaag ki batti lighting up his life ji ...
If that confession thing is true, then most likely neither of them will remember much the next day, but they will have some faint recollections ... hopefully Arnav will have more, if he's less drunk ... would this be enough for lighting his batti? Because Khushi would have said the truth when drunk ... he should be able to reason that much out at least.
I hope the two of them stay back in that cottage alone ... *shiddat*

Does she know only the partial truth? coz if she knows the whole truth what is to be gained by her hiding this from ODB? He is already suffering, so why is she adding to his misery by not coming clean?
Since she was privy to his feelings for Khushi before their rushed marriage, she would have been doing them a favour by accepting that she knows...this is where...the plot of this kind fails for me......i would rather accept a delusional TQ, who knows the truth but is not accepting it mentally....IS that what u are hinting at as well, Dia?
Yep, Rekha, Anjali is delusional, she is like the ostrich, hiding her head in the sand, and refusing to see anything unpleasant. Remember how she always encouraged Akash in his pursuit of Payal, but never encouraged him to fight Mami for her - she wanted her bro to follow his love, but she didn't want to deal with the unpleasantness that would necessarily be associated with it. In fact, that was the very first time I noticed this attitude of hers - peace at all cost ...
DeleteSimilarly, she knows/?suspects her husband is not as perfect as she paints him to be ... in fact, that is one of her coping mechanisms, to keep repeating to herself again and again how perfect he is, and how much he loves her ... and refuse to face the fact that he could have fallen for another woman. Which is why she always encourages Khushi to get closer to Arnav, enforces the rituals that bind them together legally and in the eyes of society, and is happy to encourage them when they seem to be getting emotionally closer as well. In this scenario, she would always play Cupid to ArHi, and never want to break them up.

DeleteI realized I said something and want to pen some thought around it. Arnav has FBs of his moments with Khushi as per his surroundings.
1. In the car on pag phere - he recalled the day she got hurt and he eased her pain.
2. By the poolside, he recalled poolside moments when he eased her fear and trouble.
3. On Holi
a. seeing her with colour on her, will he recall the teej scene at the madir when they bumped and how he gave her water?
There is a gazebo in that spolier pic (pls tell me I am not imagining it).
b. Seeing her moustache come off, will he recall the o lala scene when she bound his family together and made them all smile? When his family took the trouble to manaaofy her? (this was also when her engagement news broke to him)
c. If they land up in the gazebo, will it remind him of the last time he was alone with her in a gazebo and she was hurt by him.
d. SHIDDAT - ArHi stay back at the cottage as they are too out of it

Why does Khushi come disguised? Because Arnav asked her not to come?
In thatscene when Khushi is filling her pichkaari is that TF behind her in that yellow shawl?
When Anji is around ArHi with rangon ki thaal so is maami - so is the rang lagaana a fake HMC moment for the family? OR did TQ phir se do a KMH act between them. Arnav seems to realize his Di is around only when she touches him on the shoulder.

DeleteAbout TF poisoning TQ' s mind, it will be more on lines of your brother seems to be getting estranged, shutting you out. He does not confide in you any more now that Khushi is in his life.
It will never be anything outright situational always subtle - a hint here, a hint there.
Yes, Anji likes her rose tinted glasses; her All izz well approach. If she suspected TF, she would have hidden ti under her need to believe her life is perfect. Also to not unsettle Arnav who is so caring for her. Alternatively, her wish to constantly ensure TF stays bound to her by keeping vrath and pooja and calling him asking him aap kahaan hai could be her way of trying to keep him with her - wonder under what circumstances they got married?
Anji has always been pakka about Khushi but she also knows that Khushi will bear pain and hide the truth for others happiness - more so than Arnav. Is that the reason she keeps watchign them both to see what gives?
TF also needs to make an attempt on Arnav's life. Not sure why he has stopped - cos he is afraid Khushi will guess? Or cos he is not sure whether Arnav has confided in Khushi about the wedding. They have never outwardly given him a reason to doubt that yet. Then in his mind Khushi married Arnav knowing he saw the terrace scene and knows the truth about TF. His confrontations with Khushi are a fishing expedition to check if she knows that Arnav knows and that TF lied to Arnav about her feelings.Both Arnav and TF think Khushi's silence is only cos of her sister's happiness.
1. Arnav thinks Khushi reciprocates TF feelings (yuck!)
2. TF thinks Khushi knows Arnav saw them and that he lied about them to Arnav. He knows Khushi wanted to talk to Arnav about something (NK told all when the pregnancy news broke)
3. And funnily Khushi knows nothing. She only suspects Arnav know about her and SHyam but an entorely different event
4. Anjali belives TF is cheating on her. She knows Khushi will never have an extra amrtial affair with a married man. Yet this same Khushi eloped and married her brother and both will not say why.So would this influence her to suspect Khushi capable of having an affair?

I believe Anji just heard Arnav say jijaji is hceating on you at Payash wedding and fainted at that. She would not have seen the terrace scene and she does not know Khushi is the 3rd part of her triangle. She is investing time in Arhi and not focussing on her life cos she does not want to recall that unpleasant thouhgt. The pregnancy is a blessing in disguise for her and one more way to bind her husband to her - after all the child is a part of him too.
Again making me come back to the point on: When Khushi realizes the truth of why Arnav married her - will he realize the truth of how his sister knew / suspected and never confided - a sister whom he trusted above all and that unshakeable tust is shaken - causing Khushi to stay back for Arnav or causing Arnav to leave and Khushi making him stay back for Anji and herself.
yes! yes !!! one more Rabba ve moment this was just too cute. Arhi moments worth watching girls. Khushi back with DM and yucks RRR trying to apply color to khushi and she gets away. RRR twitching as saying he would be the first and our bitwa hears it .......

Bitwa its a mentos moment for you. if not at he would keep an eye on TF the whole holi. Hopefully he might have his mentos at the end of the day.
