Posting the uncut videos here - with ArHi moments alone - This has the first 'in the window' segment, the introductory dance and Sanaya's dance, as well as Barun receiving his Naya Sadasya award and SaRun receiving their jodi awards

Some random comments -
Sanaya dances DAMN well ... liked the little clip of Buaji doing that vaara phera thing and she and Nissar admiring her dance. Whatever dance reality shows I have seen, the judges always comment that expression is a huge part of dance and she really has that in spades - she dances with full verve and enjoyment. My mom fell in love with her when she did those three dances in IPK at the sangeet. Buaji did that vaara phera thing again when SaRun won the Jodi award.
Barun really should take some dance lessons - it will be good for him as an actor. And we might get to see some SaRun/ArHi stage performances. His hosting was okay - he looked a little bored and not with it at times. Not surprising - pairing him with Kokila? Really?!Who had that brilliant idea?! The only time he spoke fluently was when he was talking about Khushi and how long she takes to get ready :))
Really like the way the entire team is so bonded together, they seemed to be having a whale of a time and enjoying themselves.
Parts of SaRun's acceptance speeches were edited - where Sanaya thanked Gul for the concept of Arnav and Khushi :(
Seemed like Hina Khan (Akshara of YRKKH) was expecting the favourite beti to go to Sanaya ... as were lots of people ... and she was also expecting the favourite jodi to go to ArHi, Virat Manvi were a little disappointed ...
Cute how the IPKKND team is friendly with Ridhi, Akshay's sister - Ridhi was so excited that her brother's show won the Favorite Jodi award ... and that little snippet of Ridhi running away with the trophy and Sanaya chasing her was adorable! I seem to remember Barun and Sanaya had attended Rakesh's birthday do with Akshay.
More people happy with the Jodi awards ... Saanchi and Sandhya. Virat Maanvi were again hoping for it - this was also by voting.
Sanaya should be invited next to host if she can do a mix of English and Hindi - she is so very confident and articulate on stage!And not over-awed by Bollywood heavyweights :)
Loved the way Sanaya, Akshay and Daljeet were on their feet during Nani's dance - Sanaya dancing, Akshay singing along :)

Last note - I know people are raving about BS walking off talking on the phone, I didn't find it cute. Or polite. Unless it was an emergency.

Barun needs acting lessons ASAP... he is worse than Mohit! :P Poor sanaya, always gets such horrible dance partners! :P I wanted more of K's performance... why so less!! :(( and why not ArHi/SaRun performance?? :(( and in general, so less of SaRun... they are sooo low profile there!! :(( me not likes! :(
anyway...atleast can't wait to watch ArHi winning best jodi award... :))

DeleteBut take a look at all the links, there is some of SaRun/ArHi in almost all - I realized when I was posting the entire show - couldn't really skip much at all. Barun hosted a segment, Sanaya introduced the diamond trophy and also presented two awards, that too with the only Bollywood celebrity present ... plus her dance of course ...
I loved the Diary segments - they chose a good person to read those out - Ragini and Viren did a good job. Ahem's diary - Kokilaben was not amused at Viren laughing at her precious dikda, neither was Ahem, I think!
Naitik and Akshara took it very sportingly - I was laughing at Ragini's reading ... well done!
Arnav's Diary was really funny ... and loved Barun's reaction - paise bachaye - you got it!!!
saw only snippets here and there..but I have to say.. I lost a bit of the IPK shine after seeing that...

DeleteI actually enjoyed watching them offscreen ... after all those statements from Sanaya that she doesn't like the romantic scenes, and Barun that he does his job and goes back home ... I was like, hello, you both signed up for a romantic show, then what's this? And this made me feel that yes, they are deliberately playing down their friendship in front of the media of the sake of their families, they are genuinely good friends and close friends at that. Just friends, I don't mean anything more ... but not as averse to doing romantic scenes as those statements seemed to suggest.
And it was nice to see Sanaya so overjoyed about Barun's award - shut up all those doubters who said she was jealous.
I'm looking for Shyam's and Mami's award segments too and Nani's dance - I want to post all the IPKKND clips, not just the ArHi ones.
Jaya I never ever watch VM's ... dunno somehow weirds me out...but I watched this and I really liked it...Made me feel all fuzzy and happy...like the really good IPK episodes do..:-)

Dia ..... Not seen any of MJHT could relate to your fascination about Sanaya. Yesterday gave me a very good idea. Her reaction when she lost Simple WOW !!! Other where trying there best to be "in character" and she had us ROFL. Her gun guna ye gana was the cutest thing ...... The way having her around ... Tongue tied Barun get all comfortable and himself..... The way she enjoyed each and every moment with he whole team .... Full of life. Ragini has the same air but a bit loud. Sanaya is all ease. Really really loved her.
ReplyDeleteI loved Bari Maa too ..... Her 'suhana muskura de' was the only smart answer and i loved the way she looked ... Elegant. No wonder I enjoyed her Tu Tu Me Me as a kid.
Barun .... I loved him too yesterday .... Barun and Sanaya are lucky to have eachother. Banda acha hai a Gentleman ..... Not once did he forget to take care of his lady and that made me go Hayeeeeeee
Having said that he really needs to work on himself .... Bhai jo kaam karaheho thik se karo ..... You are a very good actor and good looking too so no pressure there ... Take care of the accessories.

They hugged with such warmth ..... It was so good to see ..... Not seen anything like these two in media where mostly actors are busy for a bit more screen space. They are themselves and that gives them all the space they deserve. Kisi ki nazar na laage.

Well, I didn't like Sanaya as Gunjan in the first few episodes of MJHT - she was too weepy for me - I like my heroines strong and confident, and intelligent. Also Mohit was a very bad actor at the start of the show. And I switched back to MJHT only because of Sanaya and one scene I saw of hers - she just hooked me to how strong and intelligent her character was, Sanaya gave Gunjan so much depth and dignity that I loved the character.
Then I saw Sanaya off screen and I went :O ... this loud, bubbly, totally confident girl plays the shy, quiet, nervous, underconfident Gunjan? Everything was different - her voice, her body language, her way of talking ... every single thing. And every segment of hers since then just makes me like her more and more - she seems to be that rarity - a girl who looks like a dream, and yet is really simple and down to earth and family minded. I have a few really close Parsi friends, who are exactly the same - they're bold, loud and bindaas and outgoing - they love partying and can keep everyone entertained - and yet for them, their families always come first. So I can really relate to that aspect of Sanaya!
Okay, now I shall shut up about her!
About Barun - I agree - he has reached major heights of success with this show, but if he wants to go even further, he does need to work on a few things, like public speaking, dance ... he doesn't have to be he best, but does need to improve. As anchor, am very willing to give him time - this was his very first time and he was nervous, plus his partners were so mismatched - Kokilaben???!!! Anchoring is tough ... but he should have been slightly better prepared for his Naya Sadasya speech - he actually blanked out, poor guy!!!
He reminds me of my hubby - takes time to get comfortable with people, is not comfortable in big crowds, but among his close friends, he would be the life of the party. Add to that, my hubby can't dance for nuts either!!! :))
But yep, complete gentleman, took care of his lady right through, held her hand every time they went on or off stage ... and how cute were they holding hands waiting for the Jodi award announcement?! Awwww ...
And I liked Badi Maa too - the only other person whose acceptance speech I actually remember - she is very graceful and sweet - I really like her.

ReplyDeleteWatched the SPA night...and was it me, or were our SARUN the classiest looking pair there last night? They make the most stylish, cutest couple EVER. The first shot of the two of them dressed in white made me recall some fairy-tale princess and her prince! Barun looked amazing in that white Nehru jacket with Sanaya in her white princess lehnga! Can we at least have Barun wear an outfit like this once in a while?!!
Sanaya looked like a dream, danced like a dream...I agree, they should get her to host a major show like this...Loved the way she was totally comfortable with Riteish...not at all awe-struck or fawning just because she was standing next to a Bollywood star......She hits the right notes every single time! Loved the way Barun said that I better get my two cents in before she starts to come and take over the talking! How chweet was that! These two are really made for each other, I have a hard time accepting that they do have other partners in their lives!
The entire IPKKND team was classy in my opinion. Nani was so gracious when she was being introduced by Kokilaben during the Shubh Aagman. I loved Badi Maa from SGP...another class act!
Barun should improve his diction overall....Even on the show he needs to enunciate better. And generally needs to improve his dancing and presentation skills...However, this reluctance to dance is so ASR...chalo maaf kiya...for right now!!
Was a little disappointed that they did not show us the clip of SARUN in the lovely coordinated red outfits...I think that was for a SPA promotion shoot. I need to look for it on Youtube.
Now that SPA is over, can start to look forward to some forward movement in the story and looking forward to some lovely ARHI moments!
Dia ..... Barun being paired with Kokila Ben if I rofl-ed hearing it .... I was in hysterics viewing it. Man how can a sane person possibly think of pairing them !!! :O and then she made her Gopi Vahu close her eyes when Vahu was gleefully taking some tips from ArHi's eye-lock. KBen ko itni si eye-lock se inti problem hai. No wonder shadi ki anniversary celebrate karli par abhi bhi kuch kiya nahi (chachi's fav show, nothing much I can do abt it). SaRun pata nahi aur kya kya karwaenge ..... KBen ko bhi bardash karliya ..... Now that's what you call is sheer torture !

I loved the opening sequence...they showed all the other shows cast members first...I was honestly worried that IPK had been skipped ..LOL..but Arnav and Khushi were the last shown...(total focus on them). Loved how all the members of other shows were also nudging each other and 'bari maa' was smiling knowingly...hahaha...cute...
ReplyDeleteI found Sanaya's dance alright...think she has way more potential than the song chosen for her could express. Also the kids bit was very cute but again limits the scope of performance. She undoubtedly dance well but I think given a good partner and a good song she could have done a far better job. I also felt her costume could have been better...I liked Jeevika's costume for the dance...
Perhaps I was expecting worse but Barun's hosting was not that bad...but I agree he seemed almost bored-maybe he was going for stand-offish Arnav but the concept didn't quite read because the script wasn't very good...Also pairing him with Kokila was quite idiotic...they should have had a segment where he a Akshay or he and Viren hosted...
A segment where Viren played up his I'm a wonderful human being and husband giving gyaan to our thoroughly sadoo and khadoos ASR could have been quite funny.
Kokila had the stage for way to long for my liking.
I liked mami's acceptance speech...loved nani's expression when mami spoke about her late mother-in-law...
I loved Sanaya's reaction when she didn't win...thoroughly sporting...and also loved Barun where he hurried onto the stage and said...'let me start speaking or Sanaya won't let me speak only!' and then promptly went 'Urm...?'...Not very polished and prepared but worked because of the way Sanaya and Barun play off one another...
All in all I liked the bits I saw...(obviously all of the IPK parts:-))
SN: I know EHMMBH is a show based on sisters love for one another but I was a little disappointed when Anjali didn't get best sister award...and yes I know how ironic it would have been if she had indeed won...still:-)

ReplyDeleteBy the way, SPA topped the TRP/TVR (one of them) charts this week :))) Has that ever happened before? Filmfare made it to the top ten watched shows but not to number 1 ... SPA was on ONE ... check the TRP thread on IPKKND IF.
