Ummm, how old are they again? =))
Was debating whether to title this Locking Horns ... but the sheer juvenility (is that a word?) of the exchange in the office made me change my mind.
So Arnav bitwa manages to get out of the inquisition of the 3 Deviyan ... and even earn himself some Brownie points ... as well as breathing space till the evening.
And Khushi goes home (to the GH) supremely confident that her bigda miyan will follow her ... I was actually surprised (after the SBB spoiler) that he did ... was positive he would ignore her. Forgot that when Arnav bitwa gets into a temper, he needs Khushi to vent out on ... no one else can stand up to him ... and no one can push his buttons quite the same way.
And Khushi apparently knows her miyan very well indeed ... five, four, three, two ... car engine roar ... bitiya's eyes light up in anticipation of the battle ahead ... one ... ghanti baji ...
Again, I was surprised to see him there ... I was scared it might be the Reptilewa ...
(note to self ... never watch SBS/SBB spoilers, unless of the Teri Meri kind ;) )
So now the fight is completely between Arnav and Khushi ... Buaji and Garima get polite 'namaste's' ... and nothing else, definitely not the promised explanation ... Arnav corners Khushi in the kitchen and threatens her again ... come back or else ... she says no, not unless I get answers ... and he leaves after another Payal threat. So she rushes to office to ensure Payal's safety first before she does anything else ...
And total Tom and Jerry office scene ... stretching things too much now ... followed by another prolonged Arnav-Khushi tu tu main main ... Arnav is fast losing credibility, if he has any left ...
The only thing that was established today was Khushi's new name ... and a mouthful it is too ... Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada =))
And noticed that Arnav took great delight in taking her full name right through after she first announced it ... relieved that she didn't actually mean that their marriage was broken? Or emphasizing that it wasn't, regardless of what she said?
Okay-ish episode ... methinks the fighting was dragged today ... to bring in the 2 hour challenge right at the end of the episode ...
And from the last Arnav-Akash scene, seems like our predictions here might come true - Arnav will con Akash into sending LQ to her maayka, giving Khushi the wrong impression, to trick her into coming back ... whether Khushi falls for that or not, remains to be seen ... I'm still rooting for a Shyam-Arnav scene to light up Bitwa's batti ...
Oh, and what exactly is Shyam trying to do? Make sure that Anjali remains doubtful about the strength of the ArHi marriage? Makes me feel that he will try to push Arnav's buttons when her returns home ...
And yippeee, the office is back! With new staff ... no Pam, Sim etc :))

Watched again - left with pretty much similar feelings as first watch, except that I enjoyed parts of the GH fight more.
So episode starts with Arnav surrounded by teen deviyan circling him rather like hawks circling their prey ;) ... he manages to get out of that one rather easily, though ... I sent her home because she was upset about her incomplete pag phera ... no one really does question him very much in RM, do they? No wonder he's such an autocrat! However Nani tells him to pick her up in the evening ... and apologise to the Guptas.
Khushi reaches home, full of beans, confident her plan will work ... Buaji is all heran pareshan and rude, but doesn't throw her out ... actually Khushi refuses to leave :) She assures them that they will get their answers as soon as ASR arrives.
Payash progress beyond 'ji' ... halleluiah! And the rich Raizadas only servant vanished? Payal doing the cooking?
Khushi waits confidently ... much to my surprise, her confidence was justified ... I liked the countdown ... :) And loved her expression of smug satisfaction at the door and her smile ... could see the fumes around Arnav's ears =))
How come his brain works just fine to torment her and goes dead for Shyamuu? :-/ Khushi pushed into kitchen to make tea for miyan, miyan follows her ... old habits die hard ... he's had many a private convo with her in the Gupta kitchen :)) ... while the Gupta ladies wait in the mistaken impression that he will answer their questions ... Hah!!! Has he ever answered a single question seedhe munh?
So all he does is threaten her all over again ... come home, or else ... nope, first you spill the beans ... nope, I'm not going to, you come home quietly ... ok ... good, I'm going to office, you go ... Pick me up and take me ...
:-o That shiddat is still going strong??? Even Khushi has cottoned on to it - she wants more carrying scenes too :))
Snakewa-Anjali - So RRR still thinks that Arnav sent Khushi home and made excuses to the family ... and tries to poison what passes for TQ's mind that ArHi are hiding something ...
Khushi rushes to AR office ... wow, they still have an office? Thought Aman took it over ages ago.
Seems like some CV member went to Delhi and took random shots of the sights, and they play them in the show during every long drive to tell us, yeh hai Dilli ...
Silly office scene ... security stops Khushi, ASR gave them her picture? Khushi introduces herself for the first time ... KKGSR ... ASR applauds then tells her she's lost her rights ... Khushi didn't want him to know she's meeting Akash, he doesn't want her to meet Akash ...
Khushi was defeated at that one ... she started to leave ... and he stopped her with that completely unnecessary out of the blue 'class' dialogue ... scene started to degenerate here and went downhill thereafter ... she throws water ... at her husband in front of his employees - so NOT Khushi! He stops her again from leaving ... throws a bucket back at her ... could have been the old ASR, but a business tycoon?
Must say, she looked very pretty with that wet hair and drenched clothes - the colors looked gorgeous ... and a wet angry ASR looked good ...
Clients from London shocked ... don't blame them ... the girl was an improvement on Sim/Pam though ...
Arnav actually ignores clients to stay on to exchange more words with his wife ... go home, I'll deal with you later ...
Khushi starts to retort, then to her delight, Akash appears and she quickly fires her questions at him before Arnav can say anything, much to his disgust ... his weapon gone ... she clarifies that Akash will take her phone calls too :))
And she leaves ... yet again, and he stops her, yet again ... same set as the cocktail party ... cv's, we viewers have memories like elephantwa, please change your sets!
And AGAIN he calls her KKGSR, and tells her to go home ... more tu tu main main ... more KKGSR ... and more challenge ... be home in 2 hours or else ...
And she's equally firm ... I won't go home ...
Again he stops her ... fourth time ... go home ... KKGSR, face reality ... watch it ...
We'll see ... and your new name too ...
One final look back and she's gone ... leaving him furious again ... how dare she challenge him?
Bitwa, have you forgotten ... that's what she does ... but always!
Akash tries to give him gyan on marriage, furious Arnav all but bites his head off ... he's having enough trouble with tigress biwi who refuses to be blackmailed, he doesn't want advice on his love life .. or the lack of it!
And Arnav is having a meeting with their company lawyer ... and he wants Akash's help .. what is he planning?
Thoughts - noticed that every time Khushi decided to leave, it was Arnav who stopped her ... first with that 'class' dialogue and then twice/thrice later ... was that purposely done, to show that he will taunt, prod, jibe, but will never let her go ...
Also noticed, that every single time after she gave her name as KKGSR, he made it a point to say the whole name ... and this started right after he told her she had lost all her rights because she had walked out. Again, was it a jibe, with the slight gap between the 'Gupta' and the 'Singh Raizada' ... telling her that she was still his wife, till he chose to end it, not her ... or was he actually quite happy to use the name, and remind himself that whatever the circumstances, she was his wife? Oh, he's now acknowledged it in front of his office employees too ...
Ahhhh ... *shiddat alert* ... Khushi said her name was KKGSR ... another shiddat done!!! :))) We rock!!! =D>
SN - thought Arnav was supposed to attend a meeting after sending KKGSR off? He went straight to his office, still drenched and Akash joined him. What happened to the waiting Mr Oberoi from London?
Felt that the track was side-tracked today - it became all about the T&J fight, and lost track of the main theme - which was Khushi investigating the reason for the marriage and Arnav hiding it from her ... today it was more of an ego clash ... 'go home or else' ... no, I won't, what will you do?' kind of fight, with both losing sight of what their main problem with each other was. Especially in the last Arnav-Akash scene, Arnav seemed most bothered about Khushi answering him back and throwing water, than about evading her questions ... his arrogance and ego back like the office track ... but haven't they gone way ahead from that point? How dare she? She's done far more than that since then ... she's thrown tea at him, put sugar in his car, punctured his tyre, juice in his shoes ... heck, she's challenged him in his own home ... the sudden return of ego seemed misplaced. And Khushi's anger again seemed misplaced ... why the extreme anger, almost back to the hatred of the start ... no sign of softness in either of them ... didn't gel with where they have reached ...
And if after this they show a tender loving Holi, it's going to be strange, and very inconsistent ...
Oh well, let's wait and watch ... since SPA is apparantly on 9th Mar, maybe after that they get back on track ... today they meandered ...

bitiya tried calling the tea delivery guys. no response. bitiya decides to go to office herself and serve his drink. the waiters said they will serve. but bitwa wanted it from her hands, so he came running. and bitiya ne paani pilaya. ASR was so happy that (ROTFL) vo usko nehla diya.
sab ne dekh liya. koi kuchh nahi kaha. (haq he na?)
Bitwa makes an excuse and gets away.

And WT, Kuch bhi ho your damad has come and you do not even offer him to sit or some khaan paan, he has to ask for it, forget that he has no intention of staying or eating something, but still where are the manners.
AR office - ERRRRRRRRRRR....So what was the renovation, I couldn't find any difference, did any of you spot something different?

I loved the challenge...random thought...ASR threw desi girl party at his office? You can see when they were talking outside, it is the same as I will drop you home and no you won't argument.
LAWYER: I am guessing it is regarding will making sure Shyam does not get a paisa incase something happens to him or Anjali and also I think Arnav will make Akash a beneficiary, if he is already not so.
10 out of 10 for me...Purely for the performances.

1. Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada is a bit of a mouthful. I would prefer it if Arnav just said Mrs. Raizada very smugly with a touch of Snide- ness...
2. Barun right on cue with every expression...as was Sanaya. Loved Sanaya's playful eyebrow raise and Barun's 'hurt but quick recovery' expression at her saying 'shaadi ke liye toh majboor kar hi diya hai'...(poor arnav-rrey even khushi doesn't know what she means by that)
3. What was that mini holi balti scene? LOL...silly but cute...especially the clients from London...
4. Arnav sarcastically asking his brother 'tumhari shaadi kab hui?' when junior bitwa tries giving gyaan to big brother- big no no Akash bitwa- Arhi have been going on way longer than Payash-they're waaay more experienced:-p (wish I could say MIG)

Since, ASR can't change his name, for once Khushi has bitten off more than she can chew.In a way, I like the fact that CVs have kept her scenes so true to her character; her absolute naivete in looking at the world in simplistic terms.All she needed was an assurance from Akash and she was ready to challenge the mighty ASR
Could not appreciate the "class" dialogue from ASR, they have traversed a long path since those times..seemed a pointless dialogue inserted to provide the provocation for Khushi in the waterfight..but it jarred nevertheless
Added to the poolside sleeping arrangements, i don't know how long the road to redemption really is, Is anybody keeping count of the miles?
I don't know, I feel with this emotional atyachar, CVs are going about their aim of making Khushi's annihilation complete but are butchering Arnav's character,in the bargain. will khushi's spirit be broken in this new duel.
Thats why, its important, that the next progression has to be the Arnav-Shyam_khushi battle, to bring back that intensity.
On performances, there is no complaint..SI and BS are absolutely fantastic...

ReplyDeleteDam Shwetha agree on that point. San and Barun were looking hot, it just me or anyone else notice that bitwa got little hot hot when Khushi's wet hair hit him.
Ok so now Bitwa knows that KKGSR will not stay back with his dhamki of Payash marriage. So maybe he is getting back with contract marriage thing so that she is binded with it and not leave RM or elope with RRR.
But I am happy that ASR, Office and KKG are back. now for Bitwa to start using his brains he needed to get control of himself first and then the things around him and then his actions against KKG and its impact on her is what will make start thinking. Its the Full circle now back to office the start of their relation first Mean ASR then soften ASR to Arnav. Now Khushi as in past Khushi is going to prove him that she isnt as he thinks and in turn she will know the other side of him that has been even hidden from her.
The episode was a real filler as far as I was concerned. The writers may have gone on vacation along with Arnav Bitwa's dimaag. They may be trying to give us some light episodes after all the heavy weight ones we saw for the last few weeks. But they may have taken it a bit too far with the water scenes. I can understand KKG throwing water on ASR, but cannot accept ASR throwing a bucket full of water on his wife in front of his office staff. Complete character assassination of ASR!!

The fashion show against the ArHi wedding day.
The ArHi takkar started with KKG's entry to AR. So it is at AR again that KKGSR vs ASR gains momentum.
At the end of that challenge, Khushi lands up at the GH and Arnav had to repent for putting her life in danger. At the end of this challenge, will Arnav begin to realize just how much he has ruined her life and start repenting?
At the end of that challenge, Khushi leaves only to come back to RM cos Anjali forces her to - for La. Will she leave at the end of this challenge but this time because Arnav asks her to - for Anjali?
Do Barun and Sanaya look hot in the water fight scene or what! *drools*

One gripe from me ... I didn't like that the ArHi fight was out in the open with all the office employees seeing their tu tu main main - till now, their worst fights have been in private and that maintained their dignity ... by doing all the tamasha in the office, the one thing I liked about them, that they maintained their dignity in front of others - that got compromised big time for me.

Agreed, he provoked Khushi with his 'class' dialogue, but she kind of proved her class by throwing that water ... although he promptly descended two levels lower by throwing the bucket! Khushi may or may not be maturing, but Arnav is 'immaturing' ... seems like he's enjoying getting his lost childhood back!
Though I agree with Shweths ... bitwa definitely got little hot hot when Khushi's wet hair hit him ... signs of a good Holi to come?
Exactly dia agree with you totally. till now all their fights were in private and that was dignified. today the whole tamasha in out and that too not in front of their family but at office. Hell he is the boss and what image does it give on his employees and more so in front of his client. That was just not acceptable. For me both their characters were compromised. ASR throwing water back isn’t ASR or KKG even after provoked would have made this kind of hugama when she had been stopped. Agreed she would have argued but would have never ever lowed to throwing water on him. She would have either just sat outside the office waiting for Akash or gone back RM to see if everything with her sister is fine.

As i said before Dia, Bitwa needs to get his control back. At present for him everything is out of his control. And hence his dimaag ki baati jal nahi rahi hai. Once he gets control on his emotions is that he will start thinking logically. And am happy at ASR is back, because to have battle of wits with RRR Bitwa needs to go back to become ASR the boss. So hope this whole office natak leads to that. or else this character assassinations isn’t worth it.

DeleteI don't think he is going to get Akaash to send Payal home. The mention of a lawyer appointment makes me think that he will ask Akaash to attend the lawyer's appointment and then call up Khushi to inform her that his brother is already with the lawyer to dissolve his marriage with Payal because he told him to do so. When Khushi tells him that she does not believe him, he asks her to call Akaash and find out for herself whether he is meeting the lawyer because Arnav asked him to. Khushi could well fall into this trap and call up Akaash and ask him whether he is with the lawyer and when he accepts, she will ask whether Arnav asked him to do so to which poor Akaash may admit so, not knowing that she is under the impression he is seeing a lawyer about his divorce. Khushi may be heart broken hearing this and return to Shantivan with her tail between her legs (at least for the moment).

Hmm, interesting ... and very possible ... bitwa is going to play dirty to get her back home for sure. But he won't actually compromise Payash's marriage, so he has to resort to trickery and mind games.

Just hope the cv's know what they're doing ... today's episode was a little 'blah' for me ... repetitive dialogues between ArHi, although their acting was great as usual.

DeleteLike the title of the post today. On first look the episode looked filler. Also from SBB did nto have high expectations.
But when I thought some and looked at bits again, felt that what was in the face was planned as a distraction. To keep the masses happy. But continuing the Arnav Khushi fight and making it turn uglly maybe to actually get Arnav to act out. And something may give. He is otherwise going to have a cake walk venting at Khushi and constantly threatening her with Payash. I think/hope it will now be about making her majboor by attacking on the RRR-Khushi front from Arnav's POV. But this will backfire because it will have the least effect on Khushi who may even willingly participate.
More fun this way cause there is also a possibility for rnav's brain to compute that Khushi is not reacting as he wants her to and maybe finally somewhere a faint bell may sound in his dimaag..the much needed mentos moment may arrive.
Also, to Khushi this whole crusade for the truth cannot and should not be just in the context of Payal's wedding. Her need for truth is for herself for the supposed hurt she has inflicted and so the Arnav Khushi equations should move out of the Payash rut now. Else it will get stale.
Yes there was too much creative license taken wrt characters and dialogues being repeated which was a downer
Dia, so agree with you - the water fight - in front of the staff and guards - a big no no for me! - it had no 'class' - and was not in character - ODG could well do it in private but she would never ridicule her husband in public! was wondering why the CV's did it till ODG's wet hair hit ODB and then my DKB lit (Dimagh Ki Batti) - ooohhh - so in regular love stories - the naee navali dulhan comes in with wet hair and a cup of tea to wake up her husbands - this is a different story - so the CV;s used a different way of using the wet hair :)
ReplyDeleteAlso i am getting a bit annoyed with the CV - not only are they not giving the couple good clothes (or shoes - hate ASR's pointed witch shoes) they are annihilating ODB's character - they seem to have forgotten that ODB is being mean to ODG coz he is hurting and feels cheated by the woman he loves - not because ASR is simply malicious. the old cold hard heartless ASR could have hurt Khushi not ODB who loves her so - so her sleeping out while he sleeps on the bed - calling her 'classless' - throwing a bucket of water in front of his staff - NOT in character - remember the ASR who could not sleep the first night - ripped the flowers out in anguish - that was more in character - the ASR who did not even complain when ODG threw hot tea on him - that was in character - this new track is just killing the character - CV pleas be warned -dont ruin the lead.
having said that = all was not bad today:
- loved ODG's confidence
loved the fact that ASR came to pick her
loved her welcome (raised eyebrows)
loved how he asked for tea just to be alone with her (again in character - did not talk in public)
loved how she quickly asked Akash all the questions in one go before ASR could speak!
so far interesting moves - am enjoying it :D

from this point of view, Barun's acting is all wrong. He persuades us that Arnav picked up the Khushi from the mandir because he could not stay away from her, and was totally scared for her. when in fact, it was a public affirmation that ASR could do anything at all with the "husband" label and no one would oppose. She would be totally powerless to do anything she wanted.
he hates that the homewrecker managed to seduce him.. and feels glad to punish her by making her sleep at the poolside. can you see the hate track?

well, that is an alternate universe, i hope. now focus back on the butterflies and holi and nashe mein dil ki baat.
Jaya, interesting point ... yep, it's true, Barun and the director are vacillating between what Arnav feels right now ... is it pure hate for the girl out to ruin his sister's life, self-loathing for himself that he can't get over that girl, and so punishing her for it ... or the turmoil that he still loves her ... too many emotions, and they're getting a bit confused. Because at times, he ignores her hurt completely, like the burn ... and then runs like a madman when she goes missing for one hour ... so ASR is pretty inconsistent.

DeleteWhichever way u look it, this vacillation is woven into the script. Imagine, he loves a girl after a deep battle within, it then turns out that girl is cheating, and who is she cheating with, the husband of his sister whom he loves above everyone else, and to top it all, the sister is in a fragile mental state
His first reaction was to expose Shayam and Khushi but circumstances don't allow him to follow that path. His sudden marriage has not allowed him to heal his wounded heart coz the reason for that hurt is right before him. He has to constantly wage a war with his mind and heart.
To cut to the chase, I don't think the acting so far is wrong becos, for Arnav, there is no closure on the Khushi issue, one way or the other. Its confusing for us primarily becos we do not ever get to see/hear Arnav's monologues...(it has never been shown)unlike khushi who is more transparent with her feelings
Having said that, the office scene lacked conviction, it compromised everything that ASR/Khushi stood for. The vehemence was totally out of character..even given the circumstances and everything that these guys have been through. I hope they are able to salvage it tommo...I can eat my words any time for a good episode

I thought the whole subject was finished long back, when he said "sorry".. well, maybe pushing her buttons come instinctively. there was no fire behind his words, just spite. and yet, she poured water on him. why? water on the body will lower your class? kids these days :P
In some scenes, we can sense that the kiddos were having fun. "Khushi Kumari Gupta...Singh Raizada " rolls off so smoothly off Mister Raizada's tongue. And loved that little bit when she showed her mangalsutra to the security guys :D and then "I thought you broke the wedding and went home. So you lost the right to go inside.” that smirk.. he sure is enjoying this cat n mouse game. “and you don’t have the class to enter otherwise…uff that hurt. Remember when KKG first came to AR and the catty bgirls sidelined her and made her wait and made fun of her?
Then mug…. Bucket… seemed like the whole world disappeared and they were the only ones there. What would have happened if that splash was at the poolside? Dhak dhak. Dia, just like you said , this was so juvenile a scene, but true to the two of them. and I expect this display was for the Arhi droolers , just for the wet look ... (hot, i admit)
ASR has no problem going up and greeting his client.. even doused in water, the old business tycoon ball of ego that was ASR takes over.
And as soon as she met Akash, Khushi became the old Khushi. All her worries gone. Jeejaji ki little sister. The mood change was cute. And so forthright .. why can’t she be as true to “Arnav-ji”? (she keeps a personal place just for him.. to fight, to shout, to hug when she’s sad, to throw water at... yet cannot tell him the truth of her heart?)
And did she HAVE to talk about forcing him to marry her? Reinforcing his belief.. and his hurt.. and the MU just became bigger, because she alluded that she made him marry her.
Yes swetha, The office building is used for everything else.. boutique, restaurant, party hall.. the PH think we will be mesmerized by the star pair’s faces and will not see the background. They said it was being renovated, so ODB was working from home. but today when we see it, exactly the same. even his cabin..At least some slight changes? Or not..CVs, its okay, it is not the building details we want to see anyway. I’ve forgiven you the RM layout.
@ all, ASR would do that.. he did drop her down from his office. He cannot tolerate someone getting the better of him. Never. Whether it be a new employee or his new wife. he has the clout to keep it out of the media. Yes, ODG was out of character.
the question is, why is she doing all this? why can't she simply and silently go back to GH and stay there? if she only wants to be away from the bad treatment at RM, that's fine, right?

DeleteThe Abhaas health issue may have forced the CVs to open up this track of fiesty Khushi,nosing around for the reason and perhaps they are stuck with how to close this before moving back to Shyam_Arnav angle...
We enjoyed the fiesty khushi, no doubt but the questions will come back if it all reaches no conclusion.
Guess Khushi will remain in the dark for longer, the question is how to stop her at RM, without disclosing the truth. Hence this character badgering of Arnav, resorting to blackmail over Payal's marriage which sounds stupid, irrespective of whatever his authority in the family. This does not work in my POV
The CVs surprised me y'day with the Akash twist and now they are back to square one. They may show Arnav playing mind games to corner Khushi but I think in Khushi's eyes, it would be the "unkindest cut of all" that someone she loved, stooped so low. Maybe thats the intention, DM knows or CVs better know!!
See, I think Khushi starting to question the reason for the marriage is one angle ... but either it has to reach a conclusion or another angle has to open up alongside ... either more Arnav-Shyam mind games, or Arnav also suspecting something fishy ...
DeleteEven when Khushi first started suspecting Shyam it took 2-3 weeks before she discovered the truth, am guessing they will take at least as long now ... but then they had a parallel La track, here, they don't have anything much. Payash and Mami saaas-bahu can't hold the viewers so tightly ...
Again, I do think the coming SPA has something to do with it ... hopefully next week, things will move a bit faster. Having said that, today was a filler after a couple of good episodes, so let's wait and watch a while longer ... do we have a choice? ;)
Rekha, Dia, khushi's question won't be answered. or rather, cannot be answered at this point. So take the focus away, but the CVs have no episodes planned..

mami-payal.. interesting, but won't gel with the M&B storyline. still, I want a sideline so that mami is sure of payal's dedication to her.. a grudging acceptance.. and I want mamaji to talk some sense into his wife.. this is the perfect time, when she is hurt that her son is growing up, for the husband to support and manao his wife.
amma -buaji... i want them to talk about khushi.. her childhood.. no need for a proper falshback, just talking is enough.. but talk of her hurt and her reactions when her parents died.. and how she was as a child..
if possible, give us a little backstory of shashi and garima.. good time to give the leads a rest.
shyam babua's scene today was simply waste of time. Don't waste the actors time and the audience's time. he knows khushi does not care for him, he cannot leave anjali, get him to witness that khushi truly cares for arnav.. and then let him get so jealous and taunt arnav every chance he gets. we are all waiting for such a clash.
anjali does not do pujas anymore.. she's knitting a baby blanket.. at least let her go to a mandir and do some aarti type of thing.. let NK go with her. have fun with him being new to the mandir scene. break some cliches. get anjali laughing. some real funnytimes, not forced ones.
get akash to go on a business trip to bombay.. let payal go with him. get some cute scenes there. I like akshay dogra, and he's simply wasted as the stuttering yes man. Get him some walking on the beach, eating channe moments with his payalji. improve their relationship. I know they won't be backslapping best buddies, but get them away from the namaste stage. dropping the jees was a good beginning.
and all this while, get me some bedroom scenes from the hot jodi.. even no dialogue is okay.. remember diwali... they can say so much without speaking. khushi getting ready... arnav working at the poolside.. khushi sleeping.. arnav sleeping.. all nihara ho jaaye.
just to keep the arshi droolers happy.. but don't improve the situation.

1. Hmm thoughts on ODB linking ODG's going to GH being about pag phere was spot on. And this time it was Nani and not TQ who issues the farmaan to go and apologize and fetch ODG home. He dare not return home without ODG at any cost.

The last time she did this, ODB and she had planned that suicide drama to get Payash to accept their love for each other. This time she counted down ODB's arrival. An indication of a fake drama b.w them?
3. ArHi GH Kitchen scene - reminded me of the pre-sangeet kitchen scene.
a. Then too she ran from him and he came to her doorstep. Today again she runs away and he comes to her doorstep.
b. That day she dressed up as mamiji and was shocked to see him. Today she was confident he would come.
c. Then too a challenge was given and accepted. The stakes were higher - 2 strangers accepting to do anything the other says. ODB was confident of a win but in the end he helped ODG win bcos he could not stand her tears or her being taunted by the world.
d. That day having declared a "war" he walked out with a smirk but paused to look back at ODG to confirm she is cognizant of what she is getting into. He stopped to look back even today.
d. Then she was not even his girl, today she is his wife. Will history repeat itself? Will a situation arise that ODB will have to back off from his 2 hour challenge or would he actually win this round? Will he use a 3rd option as he mentioned yday - not Payash threat, not answering Qs but instead come up with something totally new to bind her to him?
- she is still bound to AR by that ealier contract and owes him money
- will he offer her something thinking she would jump up and accept only to have it thrown back in his face. will that confound him and start him thinking?
e. ODB tells ODG "apna naatak band karo" whereas she had told him clearly that she was breaking their marriage and leaving. So does he accept that she would not break a bond of marriage so easily?
4. ODB's confidence in Akash
Akash will do just as I ask him to. But during the LQ acceptance drama, Akash had sided with ODG's idea. Trusted in ODG to know better. Would he do that again now?
Also, Akash has promised babuji that he will look after LQ and ODG. ODG means a lot to LQ and LQ means a lot to Akash. Will ODB lose his leverage?
5. RRR plays more mind games with TQ
He keeps coming back to the suddenness of the marriage and there being something hidden. Will his conviction on a hidden reason; his repeated emphasis on this be his unravelling?
6. ArHi AR entrance
Hmm so suddenly ODB remembers that ODG broke up with him and has lost her rights to enter his office. (dude she is still her jija's saali and he is also a raizada ain't he?)

More a distraction to keep us drooling and to throw in some ArHi scenes (wet hot ones!)
a. Until ODB's anger subsides, his brain will not begin to think. I think the whole office main aukaad and challenging ODB was to get him into ASR mode. The ASR of old who had a dimaag. Else don't see a point (MIG alert - ofc I would like to believe that given the non happening SR and the poolside sleeping arrangements there is a lot of restless energy that needed to be vented so both of them could have better clarity of thought ;->)
b. The first time ODG came to ASR's office, she had drenched him thanks to lighting a lamp before DM. He challenged her to be able to work in hell for 15 days then and she did
Today she enters ASR's office for the first time as HIS WIFE and drenched him again. Will his 2 hour challenge backfire on him? Will she prove her mettle again?
8. ODG ne zulfain jhatki aur aag lagi ODB ke dil main:
a. Did it remind you of the rain hug scene? First time ASR became "aware" of KKG.
b. ODB was wearing the same suit and shirt then. Then too clients and Akash were present
c. ODG rejected ODB's coat then, today she rejects his 2 hour placebo
d. Then too her thoughts were on LQ (it was her b'day) and today too she thinks of LQ (marriage). But somewhere now, it is more about knowing the truth from him. About knowing why he accused her.
e. Then in the end Akash lent ODG a helping hand and dropped her home that night. He also gave her the chunni to gift LQ. Will he again come to ODG's aid this time and help save LQ's laaj / marriage?
9. ArHi face off at the entrance
a. And the MU deepens
He says "mujhe woh sab karne pe majboor mat karo jo main nahin karna chahta"
She says "Humnain aapko itna majboor toh kar hi diya hai ki aapko humse shaadi karni padi. ab isse jyaada majboor koi kisiko kya kar sakta hai"
This had to happen to get ODB to do something. Because only in his action is there a possibility for ODG to glean some portion of the truth
b. But the last time he challenged her to do something and said he would change his name - he ended up sending ODG to the guest house where she almost died. Will he push her to the edge again?
Will he claim marital rights (vocally) just to scare her? Will she turn the tables on him by showing her willingness OR will this act of his endanger her life(in a repeat of the GH scenario) and thereby wake up ODB to some home truths too.
ODG actually has nothing to lose at this time except her virtue.
c. ASR's dialogues of "Himmat kaise hui uski. How dare she" are a repeat. He had said it in the past wrt ODG when she refused to put up with some harebrained idea of his.
Yes, the lawyer meeting sounds omnious but will it go as predicted by others here? Somehoe the Payash marriage threat seems to be getting stale. But if ODB tries to make it about the RRR - ODG relationship and striking there it will be 2 birds with a stone for him - more ASR; more thrilling!

1. Very hubby wifey when ODB says - "good main office jaa raha hoon, tum ghar jaao". ODG retorts "theek hai toh aap humain uthaake leke jayiye" :)
2. "Agar woh ODB Singh Raizada hain, toh aap jaante hain ki hum kaun hain - ODG Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada" with an upward tolt of her head to boot

The KSR one came true today ... except she made it more of a tongue twister ... KKGSR :)) And EVERY single time after that, Bitwa made it a point to repeat the whole name!!!
Sandy, loved your post, especially point 7a. frustration is the name of the game. Now I think ODB does not have any downtime to think... his brain is pulled in 20 directions everyday, which is why we see the confusion. he needs time for a mentos break!
DeleteAnd Dia, slowly, I am getting to like the long name.. why? because she is still Khushi Kumari Gupta first, singh raizada later. see the way she rejected "khushi Raizada" by the secretary? means she won't be losing an ounce of character because of a change in name... she's gonna gain more.
one more thing.. the 15 days in hell challenge, she did not win.. she took the third route and resigned because she did not want to work at a place where a bet was more valuable than a human's life.
Deletehe issued in the 2 hr bet because she taunted him with the majboori dialogue. I think he will win this one... at least, ODG will find some way (to help akash, to help any of the Qs... whatever, that we will see today) and decide herself that its not worth winning the bet. He thinks he won, but really, she won.. just like the "hell" bet.
at least, it has to be. I dont want ASR to change his name :)

Saw the last bit of yday's epi (trying to motivate myself to work as I put it ;->) and Arnav says I have to do nothing and you come barrelling into the office to ensure all is well.
Had a thought - what if Arnav calls her bluff about not retunring home and tells her fine, don't come. Will that bring her right back home saying I am not going to let go of you so easily. Plus having pulled the I am not coming home stunt ineffectively already, khushi will know it kind of will have no effect on arnav going forward.

Few more things came to mind ( i know i know i aready said so much)
SN1: Today you get confirmation thta Khushi has realized that maintaining a facade of their marriage is important to Arnav - at the cost of his family's animosity. And she knows that this is her best levergae to back up Arnav into a corner
SN2: Khushi has convinced herself that Akash will stand up for Payal. She even heard it from the horse's mouth. So unless something drastic happens there, she will not let Arnav threaten her with that again. Will Divorce papers go the way of burnt kheer or not?
SN3: Not sure if they realize yet (majboori dialogues) but Khushi has nothing to lose for now and arnav knows that (except maybe RRR's confidence from his POV). But Arnav stands to lose his most valued possession, TQ, though Khushi does not know. Her sudden departure will only put Arnav in a spot. She is actually in a position of strength tight now.
Besides, Arnav needs Khushi back for himself - for his chhot.
New title for ASR - HIS HOTNESS, excuse me, HIS HIGHNESS!

I wish this water-throwing had been done in the privacy of the pool, so that it could have been their own private unleashing of anger and passion, and we could have had another HOT ARHI scene with some slipping of KKGSR and having His Hotness steady her and pull her into his arms....will give new meaning to her being KKGSR! And we have not seen a single real hug between these two!
Doing it publicly like this in the office was NOT classy! Ironic that ASR made the nasty jibe about her class when he could not control himself to act just like her!
Wonder if the meeting with the lawyer is to draw up a contract with Khushi, he might tag along some monetary element and then throw it at her at every step that she will do anything for money.
I hope not! This relationship has come a long way since their early fights and getting back at one another. Can we not go back to the old scenarios of cat and mouse?! Tom and Jerry is apt!
Instead what is RRR doing? Can we have some putting together of two smart people to outsmart our reptilian lawyer?
Did I say that they both looked absolutely HOT!

Now for some more thought (some repeats)
- the reason i love this serial is coz of its characters - they are complete and well defined - the story is as good as any love story - its ODG and ODB who make IPK, right? - so i really don't like it when the CVs start doing things for TRP which either don't take the characters into consideration or actually end up assassinating them
- SO ODB going to GM - completely in character (we may have thought he wont coz of his ego - but actually was completely in character - he has never left a challenge from ODG hanging in air - remember the sangeet challenge)
- ODG going to office - in character
- ODG accepting ODB's statements and starts to leave - again in character
- ODB saying the 'class' dialogue - NO ways - he can and has called her worse things but either before when he was ASR or in private - once she started earning his respect - he was always careful (remember him telling sam and sim or who ever they were not to call her Chamkili!)
So if the CVs are stocking the Blog - PLEASE stop killing the characters - dont mind a few filler episode now and then but not at the cost of the characters
THE NEXT MOVE- -i feel ODG has to call ODB's bluff again - she has to win the bet - simply coz then she can go back to RM on her terms - she can say "you have no hold over me nor is there any other reason for me to come back BUT i am still coming back - because it matters to me how i hurt you!!" that should get OBDs batti working!!!

u totally echo my thoughts here.......i first saw the last part and didn't like the hatred, felt they are going in reverse gear....then saw the start of the episode during the repeat telecast, and didn't enjoy it at all..... was also wondering how will they place this hatred with the holi promo......
today's episode was like they don't know each other at all, as if theirs was an arranged marriage forced on them....

ReplyDeleteSandy's post - the kitchen scene reminded me of the sangeet challenge - and the way it ended there was that Bitwa helped bitiya to win ... so will it end the same way here, maybe in reverse - he is about to lose, but she wants to go back because she knows that's the only way she can find out the truth, so she gives in, maybe to save his face at the end of two hours - in front of Akash maybe?
And this time, Arnav is the one who has to acknowledge that he helped him out, saved his secret in front of his family ... so the honors are divided between them ... as Mona said just above ... "I'm coming back, not because you forced me to, but because I care about this marriage and I need to know how I hurt you."
She is definitely in the position of strength right now ... Akash has proved to be the weak link in Arnav's plan, and in any case, that was never going to be a weapon, it was a bluff, and she's called it ... And she knows that he's hiding something from both the families and from her ... is she going to follow up on the Shyam thought? I think she is, but slowly, they took 2-3 weeks to do it the first time round as well, in the meantime Shyam has already poisoned Arnav's mind, he's now starting work on Anjali ... he keeps tryingon Khushi, but apart from that first bout of doubts, it's never worked.
But will she ever get around to telling Arnav about Shyam herself? Again, I doubt it, not for some more time - if she did, there are only two options - bitwa believe or don't believe - it limits the story to some extent ...
Is the lawyer thing going to be a red herring? Is he drawing up something to exclude Shyam from Anjali's wealth and make it all for her child, and himself and Akash the guardians? Or is he drawing up a 6 month contract for himself and Khushi? I doubt the latter - I think he's as keen on the marriage as a long term thing as Khushi is ... the only thing is, he might get Khushi to sign it but with no intention of using it, and later it will fall into wrong hands ... that bit is cliched, hope they don't use it.
Payash are slowly getting closer - they do it one baby step at a time, they just dropped the 'ji' ... but will they at some point reach the stage where Payal tells Akash about Khushi and Shyam? Adding another joker in the pack - as Akash has started getting more screen space recently, and appreciations for the bromance scenes.
Sandy's point 7 - first time round, she drenched him he issued 15 day challenge, she took him up on it ...
Now she drenched him he issued a 6 month challenge, will she take him up on it again ... but on her terms this time, as I said above ...
And again, Ratna made a good point on Sush's post, that whenever there is a challenge between them, it ends in no one being clear cut winner -
Office track - ended with GH, she lost and resigned, but on her terms, he never enforced his victory, because he knew he had been unfair ...
Don't talk to me dumb charades - they both started talking under the stars
Sangeet - she won, but with his help ... and they both knew it.
Now the Two Hour challenge - she has to come back to RM, we know that ... so ostensibly her loss ... but on her terms? so actually her win?

DeleteWell I went back and looked at the office confrontation scenes again. A lot pf similarities. I think in that monologue the other day (Mon?) Khushi in her mind said I need to talk to Arnav Singh Raizada cos thats how she perceives him now. She was always fearless before ASR. It was Arnavjee who worried her.
SN: In the old office scene, both sign the contract and I realized that their names got joined on a piece of paper that daya itself. Today she proclaims herself to be KKGSR..
Putting anything on paper will be counterproductive for Arnav for Khushi can show it to RRR and give him a blackmail weapon against Arnav. I think her dialogue on majboor kiya for shaadi made ASR think that Shyam has told her about their faceoff and how Arnav spoke of marrying Khushi to weaken RRR.
True neither one of them is a clear winner in any of their challenges.
Whacko thought: Arnav calls Khushi's bluff by telling her they can get a divorce (he says he wants to meet her to talk to her) and she can be free of the relationship (perhaps remind her that she has already broken their relationship so has no right to question him and he is under no obligation to answer). But Khushi will not walk away because she needs to know why he said what he said and why he did what he did. (She already told him hum shaadi tod kar jaa rahe hain; is ghar ko chhod kar jaa rahe hain. Arnav reminded her of that in office too about how she no longer has any rights.)
They always do the opposite of what the other tells them to do. She says bako, he shuts up. He says get Out, she says Nahi Get Out.
So why not, she says I will leave and he says no go home changes to he says leave and she says no i will not.

ReplyDeleteI didn't much like the episode TBH. Won't comment on the water fight, i've chosen to ignore that mainly because Barun and Sanaya looked HOT all wet..so made my brain forget they were Arnav and Khushi rofl.
I didn't like how ODG just went to Gupta's as if nothing happened, as if they never disowned her. How can she be so normal? Is that maybe why they're showing ASR to be so ruthless (sleeping arrangements and all)? ODG forgives and forgets easily...so if ODB isn't cold towards her, she'll forgive him too.. thats her nature.. which is why ODB is being showed like this.. so that when he does ask for forgiveness she can't forgive her as he's done way too much damage? get what i mean?
The scene at AR was again too much. Insulting your wife, throwing water on her in front of your staff, real classy ASR.
I LOVED how both of them know the other so well.. bitiya being so sure that he'll come to GH and tells the Gupta's that they'll get their answer...and bitwa being sure that she'll come to AR so tells his guards not to let her in. Idk how he got Khushi's pic on his phone.. but i love that he has it ;) And i also love how Khushi is backk, the no-nonsense one...when she wants something, she will get it! Oh and before i forget, i did think that he looked all happy when Khushi said that she's Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada ;) For ppl who don't consider this a real marriage, they do have these sadda haq moments WAY too often, not that we're complaining LOL
Overall though a very 'meh' episode for me.. but i guess it is better than everyone taunting and torturing Khushi

ReplyDeleteAbout the lawyer thing, i earlier thought it might be a blank divorce paper to scare Khushi....which later might get noticed by anjali and shyam might talk bt it to Arnav thinking that kkg got the papers...he might even gloat as to how khushi got him to make the papers (that is if anji asks arnav bt the paper and he refuses any knowledge bt the same) this may lead arnav to doubt shyam, since he knows the paper were made by him to scare khushi bt payash...does it seem to far-fetched....
but then the Dia's idea makes more sense of excluding shyam from anji's wealth......but then if that happens and khushi tells him the truth that she doesnt love shyam, will he take in some other sense that she is saying this now, as shyam doesnt have any money...gosh this is all becoming so confusing.....the only way visible to me now, is if khushi risks her life for anji or arnav, else arnav will never believe her innocence.....esp the hatred he showed in yesterday's episode.....

I think he's trying to keep the idea alive in Anji's mind that ArHi are having problems in their marriage, so that if Arnav ever gets round to confiding in Anjali, then she's primed to the idea already. But again, this might be one of those Cupid-by-mistake ideas which backfires on him, because if Anji ever mentions to Arnav that 'haan, yeh bhi vahi keh rahe the, that you and Khushi are not compatible,' then it will shoot Arnav promptly in reverse direction to strengthen his marriage again!

Deleteyesterdays episode for me worked till they left the Gupta House. I found the Gupta house scenes totally in character and true to form Khushi and Arnav...
The office scene was just silly. Lol.
I'm glad though that they didn't do the bucket of water scene beside the poolside...because I'm way more looking forward to the bhaang scene happening by the poolside.
I felt like they put in yesterdays scene to placate the audience and thought that since its holi this was as good a scene as any to appease everyone. However, it really wasn't required, especially with the holi promo.
I don't mind Arnav and Khushi at loggerheads, I just don't want them to lose sight of their individual pain. The bravado and fighting is alright as long as they continue to show how hurt and betrayed Arnav feels - some unguarded moments that remind the audience that right now he's trying to tame his sherni wife but he's still hurting, still angry, still compromised and unable to fix anything for 5 months. Similarly for Khushi...outwardly she has her false bravado and happy face and thats good-very Khushi...but I hope they continue to show that inside she's also hurting, and confused and heatbroken.
I've actually been wanting an office scene where Khushi is called Mrs. Raizada, (I had imagined Anajli sending Khushi with ASR's lunch or such type of bahana), and Arnav being forced to introduce her as Mrs. Raizada...sort of happened but not quite how I'd hoped - Should have put it on the shiddat list- this scene degenerated into a cartoon warner brothers would have proudly aired.
I somehow didn't read much into yesterdays episode because it felt like a filler. They need to focus on Shyaam now. I want a Dr. Moriarti-esque villain not this lame joker. Arnav played his brilliant hand by marrying the woman he is crazy about and all he's doing is twitching and trying to provoke his wife into doing something...I feel like wacking him over the head:-(
I hope today's eppy is holi worthy...or at least the precap is...

ok a random thought, we think that ASR will ask Akash to meet the lawyer, and ask payal to bring Khushi back. Then why do i have a feeling that it will TQ who goes to GH to get ODG. maybe when payal is leaving TQ tells her that she will go GH as she thinks that it will be a good idea to mend things for khushi and finish the pag phera. Khushi agrees to go back with TQ. Win for ASR thinking that his plan worked while in truth khushi came back for TQ.
