Thurs 29/3 - 219 ... Anyone Can Make A Mistake

Thurs March 29th

After watching the first half of the episode, I was surprised that you girls hadn't commented on how foolish and OTT Khushi was during the important meeting with the Sethi brothers =)) ... and how come Arnav didn't physically throw her out =))
The second half of the episode explained that of course!!! =))

So was TQ the slightest bit suspicious of her sleazeball hubby? Or was it more about 'don't talk about property and dying and all, I love you too much' ... I think she wasn't completely satisfied by TF's explanation today. She might not do anything about it, but the seed will remain ... until TF can find a way to explain it convincingly ... like he did during the ring episodes.

So Akash realizes that Khushi jo kuch bhi karti hai, kuch soch samajh kar karti hai. Am impressed ... how did Khushi know to call EOW? I didn't even know such a thing existed!

And Arnav gets another insight into the way his wife works ... kabhi soch samajhkar, kabhi just for masti! Seems like this track is all about Arnav getting to know the real Khushi ... and trust her. Although his ego is still too big to allow him to apologize or say thank you to her ...

Need to watch the car ride again ... but the precap is definitely him getting his own back on her ... though not with malice or bitterness this time ... but with a big smirk. A bit like the tyre changing time - I should say thanks, but I won't. He loves playing games with her ... and winning. Though really, Bitwa, making your wife do uthak baithak on the road? Not nice :(  :-S

I think I really won't have much to add tomorrow ;) but anyway ... *edit later*
*edited*
Starts with Shyam pottering around in ArHi wardrobe, caught redhanded by WW (Worshipping Wifey), and for once, doesn't have an excuse ready, so falls back, as he did once before, on the simple truth ... of course, gambling on the certainty that he won't be believed. And it gives him time to come up with a better excuse - he was hunting for a misplaced kurta. Anjali disturbed - why did you mention jaydaad and papers ... Shyam asks softly, so isn't all the jaydaad ours anyway? Fishing for some information? But Anjali doesn't give him the answer he wants, so he covers quickly again - jaydaad is his wife and child, that's all he wants. Anjali still not very happy, but Shyam thinks she has swallowed it again.
For once, there is a witness to this conversation - HP.

AR - Shuklaji calls Khushi 'bhabhiji', Arnav still doesn't like :))
SN - I thought Khushi was to do the cooking, and Shuklaji the sourcing only - what happened? Did she teach him her recipes already?
Dia, no logic, remember ... no logic :))
And Khushi has to run to her day job - interpreter for HH (no, not hotwa this time - Hot-tempered Hubby) ... who's already having a tough time telling secretary what he wants. Khushi makes general announcement about her day job, to everyone's confusion ... then runs to attend phone.
From Mr. Roy ... so Arnav snatches phone before Roy can say anything more, and gestures he'll call back later. Khushi wonders what it is that he didn't want to talk about in front of her. Smart girl, picks up all the little things. Now if only she could pick up the tension between HH and TF!

And the Men In Black enter - looking straight out of a Govinda gangster movie :))
Arnav is a little perturbed - can you handle it? Khushi gets nervous at that one ... and starts babbling again ... yes, of course, I will, I can, can't I? have water, no? okay, I'll have water :)) Then sees that MIB look like LG, and gets more confidence - I can handle one, today I'll manage three! Arnav looking at her babbling as though he thinks she's lost it completely!
Again Arnav seeing more and more shades of Khushi - the 'darti hai par karti hai' Khushi ...
Khushi called out by random phone call - why am I mentioning this? Because I caught it only on the second watch ;) - why she was outside to catch the MIB.
And she wonders why the MIB left already, and why they're wearing goggles inside ...

MIB re-enter, Arnav is justifiably flummoxed at the cartoons in front of him ... Khushi bursts in, huffing puffing (all this definitely made more sense on second watch ;) - so cv's had done a decent job after all!)
Khushi's one liners again - 'he can't speak, but it doesn't make so much of a difference ... vaise bhi he doesn't talk too much, today he won't talk at all. No big deal!'
If this had been a serious deal, I would have been tearing my hair out already at her idiocy ... I was, on first watch! :))
So Khushi holds forth on everything but the deal - reason for Arnav's silence, the price of vegetables, her dabba service ... ending up by presenting her cards ...
Arnav's look of sheer horror ... priceless!!!

Akash distraught - how did Khushi mess up this deal, it was important! The brothers leave to try to salvage the deal ... Akash disappointed with Khushi.

And then the expose ... Sethi brothers ready for the deal, R brothers happy, and KKGSR becomes heroine of the hour ... as the police and EOW officer enter in the nick of time ... and Khushi's flashback shows how she discovered the truth ... the MIB were discussing their secrets in the carpark?! Not very smart of them was it? Well, okay - matches with the general IQ levels of almost everyone else on the show :))

So Akash is very grateful, and a bit shamefaced - he didn't do his homework properly.
"Sorry, Khushiji,  should have known - whatever you do, you do have a reason for it." And to Arnav, he apologizes, and Arnav agrees that anyone can make a mistake.
But he's not so ready to forgive Khushi ... annoyed with her again, what for now?! And Khushi goes blabber-blabber again as she explains how she suspected something blackwa in the dal when the MIB kept their goggles on even in office ...
'You can tell when someone is lying when they don't meet your eyes. Those who are telling the truth always look into your eyes and talk.'

The only problem was that she looked away after saying this - she should have held his gaze for a while longer.
And then she asks - 'what you said to Akash .. do you really agree that anyone can make a mistake? Even you?'
He is not amused ... but that's the first time it has come up ... that Arnav Singh Raizada is not infallible, that he can also make mistakes.

The car journey home ... and Khushi knows why Arnav is fuming ... why didn't she tell him before pulling her stunt ... she explains she didn't have the time, she just called the police and was stalling for time till they arrived ...besides she was having fun with all the business talk! And was missing his What The's :)) And then takes care to remind him his company would have been in trouble without her ... so he can say thank you ... and sorry.

Screech of brakes, car to halt ... Arnav sure abuses his car! Will he say Get Out? Oh I forgot ... he can't! =))

MPN - writing separately - Nani and Payal conspiring about the fashion show. Nani in white dress and simply horrendous blonde wig ... =)) And NP accomplish their mission ... Manorama wants to go for the fashion show with Payal ... AND Manorama forced to call Payal and Khushi by their names ... yippeeee!!! Okay as fillers ... though I felt sorry for Nani with that horrendous get up and wig! But I much prefer this type of saas-bahu track!

Thoughts - Not a very well done episode, the deal make and break had a very amateurish/comic touch - deliberately? The office scenes don't come across as well thought out or very serious - either the initial ones with the bimbo La and her buddies, or the current ones. They have all been kept very light and pretty comic.

Anyway, a few key points from the episode:

For the first time, Khushi points out to Arnav that he can be wrong, he can make mistakes too. He doesn't like it, but it's true. Will he remember this later?

Akash says Khushi always has something thought out in her mind even when she's apparently being completely erratic. Said in Arnav's hearing. Again, will Arnav register this, and remember it later?

Khushi's statement that you can make out when someone is lying or telling the truth by whether they look into your eyes or not.

A seed planted in Anjali's brain about her hubby. Like all seeds, it will take time to grow, if nurtured and watered by more suspicious antics ... or it could be crushed again by some clever manipulation.

Liked that Manorama was forced to call Payal and Khushi by name, and not PS and KBT.

The Roy and papers track - so the Shyam-Arnav track continues.
So a few strings already in place, being pulled slowly tighter and tighter ... but very slowly.

Precap - will wait for episode tonight before I comment :)

Important - I'm rushing to India again today on a family emergency, so am making Friday's post now itself. Hope to catch the repeat episode at 11.30, otherwise will join the discussions tomorrow. Whoever posts the first comment, please give a quick recap of the episode for me - thanks! >:D<

  1. Line of the day: waise Bhi yeh Kum bolte hain...aaj bolenge hi Nahin;-)

Second Noteworthy point: Aakash's ' aap ko Bhi karti hain kuch sochkar karti hain' - Big brother did you hear him???

  2. Line of the day; 'Waise bhi yeh kum bolte hai, aaj bolenge hi nahin!'

Ironically the most noteworthy and plot progressing moment of the day was Aakash's line...'Sorry Khushiji, I guess aap jo kuch bhi karti hai kuch sochka karti hai...'

and Khushi's random bak bak...'jo log galat hote hain woh nazrein nahin mila sakte'...

Don't they say when you lose one of your senses it heightens the other senses...Do you think ASR's hearing and registering powers may have increased??? LOL

  3. Gargi,

U summed up the epi in these 3 lines above.
Yes, a lack of one of the senses, is supposed to heighten the other senses....however when one loses a particular sense, one has to work towards making the other sense compensate for what one lacks...
I only liked the car convo between K&A....A mildly fighting with her about her nautanki.....Is he angry or is he having fun at her expense in the precap......still uthak-baithak....na bitwa na? kuch kuch cheezein Raizada ko shobha nahi deti....
Btw, how did K know how to contact the EOW for frauds? Are we not supposed to ask such silly questions?

    1. I asked the same question :)))

And I really do hope that with his mouth shut, Bitwa's ears and eyes are wider open and more receptive.

    2. Dia /Gargi - You girls are forgetting this is IPK, so no logic applies.KKG magically knows what EOW is about , I miseed that little detail since I was watching on the laptop.
Yes, did not like the uthak baithak on the road in front of the policeman, but oh well!! I've decided to let it pass as long as theu show progress in their love story.

btw, Dia - I was busy yesterday so could not be spend time online but just loved your analysis of yesterday's episode , especially your title 'Meri Awaz Bano'.

    3. Ok to be fair, K only calls the police, (she clarifies during the car ride) and the police, considering it is an economic offence, they call the EOW....in that case, it is a realistic touch which we missed. Lets not wonder why the police acted with such alacrity..( maybe becos the raizadas called!!!:)Anti corruption movement is getting big now, hear hear!!

      Delete
    4. Police had so much brains? To call EOW? Am impressed! Yes, anti-corruption movement in India is definitely on the rise :)

And oh yes, their responding so quickly had to do with it being the Raizadas - am sure Khushi would have used her SR name to good effect ... again, smart move.

  4. Confused today, need to watch the eppy again, but yes Gargi, there were lots of noteworthy and progressing moments, even btn TF and TQ. Loved that khushi did use her CS but again why the comedy oTT? and why do they have to make the other one lame?
Loved khushi's random bak bak of 'jo log galat hote hain ..." and the eye lock there, but why does she avert so abruptly just contradicting her own statement to just insert the teasing? Again just 5sec of more eye lock would have been great to take the whole plot to a new level.
Now did I see the seed of doubt in TQ mind even after TF pathetic excuses?? And has A asked Roy to change the property docs as mentioned by TF? Mami-Payal-Nani (MPN) combo was kept with the crap was good but again very OTT.
What was the whole car drive? It was dam to confusing for me to understand, what exactly they were trying to show about K and A?
But overall an average episode. Would have loved if they had shown Khushi more matured in handling the whole conning thing. More like when she comes and says that the deal will not be done. The body language was awesome there, the more matured, the business women who uses her brain and stands with pride.

  5. yaar kyon itna questionya rahe ho ..... Maje lo maje lo ......

Hit the nerve of patidev din't you KKGSR .....aap mante hain galti kisi se bhi ho sakti hai, aap se bhi ......wese aap hamein thank you bhi bolsakte hain or sorry bhi !!!

Nani rocks as usual ...... Yes I love this saas-bahu saga .... Keep it that way

At last Anjali not convinced with her KP's answer ..... Good to see ..... And creepwa was too reliefed to notice that .....another good sign....HP was in the room when it happened will this lead to Khushi knowing how far S is daring .....force khushi to think more abt the creep.......well not before she is over with the situp insult i guess

  6. Okay just saw the epi again esp the car convo part..she said she called the police...teekh hain..willing to cut slack...
and Aaru...even i thot, she shld have continued looking at ASR till he looked at her...
did not like nani's get up.....made a lady who is always elegantly turned out look hideous....(the wig was terrible)
Aaru, the car drive to me until the last scene(which of course, i don't know what will follow) was, according to me, a further establishment of the fact that these two are very comfy with each other...like she was telling him why she did the natak and things like that....i can't say what it was supposed to lead to...just that they are communicating well....u saw ASR was not angry with her until the last scene...

    1. Hey exactly Rekha, ASR mood swing was so sudden - was it because of the earlier scene of asking for thank you or was he angry that she did not inform him before the meeting started? or was it for entirely different reason* headesk*
Don’t tell me about MPN - they made a crap out of Nani, with that dress and wig- yep!! hideous wasn’t getting that word before lol!!! But as I said will ignore MPN crap for the rest. thank CVs for keep that crap btn them and not adding K there, I was worried when P mentioned it would have been great if K joined them.

      Delete
    2. I think he was angry that she didn't tell him before the meeting started - and she clarified that she didn't have time - plus she came in when the MIB were already there, so she couldn't also have told him, na?
And he was also annoyed at her bakbak about her business, so she clarified that she was having fun! And that she enjoyed being KKGSR - the SR meant she could say anything at all and get away with it! She just enjoyed that experience!

But he got actually mad when she told him to say sorry and thank you ... now this they might actually change tomorrow - because in the precap, he was definitely teasing, not actually angry.

  7. Girls - Howdy!! I actually liked the episode today. It was nowhere close to what we all want, no drama, no romance . I did not think the comedy was OTT either (don't mind OTT comedy betn Mami/Payal and Nani).
I believe what they're getting at is KKG slowly and gradually winning over Bitwa's heart just by being herself. I like this strategy in compared to one big momemt when Bitwa finds out the truth. We all know that the love is there, what's missing is the trust between these two. These small incidents are helping with building the mutual trust and respect.
The car ride was cute, shows how more and more at home they're becoming in each other's company. But Bitwa being Bitwa, does go back and forth between in love with her and turning into ASR and hence that moment of anger when he stops the car,
Do go back and watch again, I think you all wil like it.

Although do want to point out that I don't understand how the last two day's episodes connect with Monday and Tuesday. Still see the continuity issues but won't complain.

    Bye

    1. Sahana,

I thot that bitwa's mood in the precap was one of "u naughty girl, i am going to get back at u for all the trouble u give me"
U are abs right when u say that they are building it slowly with instances, ok we can crib abt which one, why this but frankly, trust is not built over an incident, if it is so, it can also be lost over an incident. SO, if thats their approach, atleast we understand where it is going....

      Delete
    2. Yep, I think we'll be in for a surprise in the precap scene tmrw. Bitwa seems to be in a naughty mood, bechaare ko pyaar aa gaya but his big fat ego won't let him admit it :-)
I don't mind showing us these day to day incidents which makes the story move forward rather than take a few steps backward.
What is also nice is Anji didn't like what she saw, this incident will be big when the truth comes out. Sama , you are absolutely correct, I too noticed that HP was in the room when Anji and Shyam were talking. It was a delieberate move and will be used later, otherwise I don't see a reason why HP has to come it at that very moment.
All we can do is wait and watch , I think things will look up from here on.

    3. Sahana, Infact thats what I liked in todays episode, the built up of trust. and happy that CV's are taking the route of slow and steady and not the big moment. But yet I still feel that K has to mellow down in Public by the CV's.
But again on 2nd thought may it was needed.

    4. Yup, Bitwa was definitely in a naughty mood, and the good part was that Biwi wasn't really angry, but was more resigned ... ok, I made a boo boo, you're going to punish me for it, aren't you, now what do you want me to do? Just hope the idiot (Bitwa, I mean, not the cop - he was looking pretty befuddled at this exchange) stops Khushi before she does too many sit ups ... or I will be annoyed with him!!! Where's our DBG .... dandaaaaaa!!!!

  8. Hi Gals....

me too likey the episode.....i thought earlier when this guys had said that we wud see something which we have never seen before....i had thought bt this direction where trust is built slowly, instead of one scene where he comes to knows the truth n starts trusting khushi...n had liked the idea, but then wondered if it will work in a daily soap, which demands drama....... would seriously love it if she gains his trust without a third party help....

i was holding my breath for a moment there when she lowered her eyes, but then he didnt have the terrace-hug fb n i was relieved... overall an enjoyable episode.....

the way akash said khushi does everything for a reason.... and also arnav said that anybody can make mistakes.... hope they remember all this unlike the other flirting scenes... tomorrow again we see a caring khushi with the kadha.... hope he feels better cause of her kadha... wud be one more feather in her cap.....

    1. geets, he has perfected the stonewall stare.. when i was inhaling the backstory, one thing i noticed that in their eyelocks, he always had an unblinking stone stare.. and she was always moving.. whether her eyes or her lips or her earrings.. she was air personified.

in that regard, i guess this eyelock is okay too. because even though she looked away a bit, her eyes always came back to his.

  9. On second watch I liked;

That Arnav glared at shukhlaji for calling Khushi bhabhiji and shukhlaji's quick backtracking to madam.

Also felt Daljeet did a good job expressing Anjali's discomfort yet not completely suspicious.

The scene where Khushi gets nervous about handling real big time clients- nice touch... She isn't used to dealing with these high profile clients so her hesitance and then characteristic - no no I can handle it all was nice...

Also liked the her one liner I handle one laad governor everyday... Today I'll handle three- big deal!!

Nani's get up was horrendous and no amount of researching, changing in lighting or angles could have changed that... But I did like the look nani gives Payal once manodrama agrees...I think nani doesn't mind her nautanki bahu as much as she lets on- she's annoying no doubt but not vilainwa;-)

The Sethi squared scene was actually funny on rewatch now that I knew where it was going... Also loved when she says mein Khushi kumari Gupta .... Sidelong isshara to hubby... Singh Raizada. Too cute.

Her whole inflation in the marketplace and recipe for malai kofta was quite funny- watch again girls...

Loved Helpless Arnav's expressions right from the Sethi scene to the car scenes..

Again the Mr. Roy scene was a good touch... Showing us he doesn't trust her one bit when It comes to shyaam he's sure she'll run to him and tell all... Also showed us there's something more to come... Looks like ASR has another hand to play with regards to money or property...good that's a track I can get on board with.

At the final frame of the episode I swear for jut a moment I thought he was going to say 'Get Out!' - just for old times sake... lol but apparently he gets out and she climbs into the drivers seat and gets caught by the cops and Arnav refuses to agree that he was the one driving till she apologises...

  10. Hey guys,

On rewatch the I liked the episode much more...picked up on the smaller things that I missed out on the first watch because I was too busy WT-ing at ODG OTT comedy...

I liked the bit where ASR full on glares at Shukhlaji for calling wifey 'bhabhiji'...Poor Shukhlaji quickly bactracks...'Khushi Madam'

The part where Khushi gets all nervous about sitting on an actual business meeting of AR groups was a nice bit. She's never really been in such high profile meetings with clients/investors so its understandable and realistic that she's a little nervous. She goes on blabbering to calm herself down...until she sees the Sethi's...they look just like her LG! Never one to back down our ODG say -So what...she handles one laad governor on a daily basis today she'll handle three...LMAO

The part where she introduces herself as Khushi Kumari Gupta- sidelong ishaara to hubby- Singh Raizada was also very cute...she so comfortable with him its cute...

The nani scene with Payal was obviously a huge filler...and no rewatch/camera angle/make up or dimming of lights could have made Nani's get up less horrendous. although I like nani's expression once Mami is convinced...I enjoy the nani-mami equation...nani is firm and actually quite indulgent at times and mami is as always 'mazedaar'...much better fillers than mami and Payal...

The Sethi's squared scene was actually quite funny now that I knew where this OTT comedy was going and her speech on inflation and rising market prices was quite accurate:-p...topped with her special malai kofta recipe- Arnav's expressions were really funny...Poor guy's silent WT's must have been reverberating in his head..

Again i liked that they made Aakash take the fall for not having background check. It made him look a little daft; but better him than his business savvy older brother who is supposed to be a business tycoon. Good call CV's.

The final freeze frame of Arhi in the car after ASR does his trademark-there's never any car behind mine and Im always driving in some sun san ghat area so I can suddenly brake whenever I want- I swear for a moment i thought ASR was going to say 'Get Out!' just for old times sake...Lol

But according to sbs he gets out and goes to get something and Khushi sits in the drivers spot and gets caught by the cops who think she's the one driving...

    1. Also liked the Roy scene...another nice touch... ASR doesn't want anything Shyaam related to be spoken in front of Khushi because he doesn't trust her and fully expects her to run back and tell him everything...

Also gave me hope maybe ASR has something more planned for shyaam? Something property/money related hopefully.

    2. If ASR did get out to get something, i hope it is that promised "treat" for ODG; a kulfi will be a nice touch, what say guys....we will then know that ODB is not beyond redemption.
His expressions in the precap make me hopeful but i don't want to up my hopes faltu mein....

    3. Girls, i saw the epi for the third time and third time is lucky, is it? I found new meanings in much of the ODB-ODG-Akash interaction....the dialogue "Aap bhi galat ho sakte hain" tho said in jest by k is really the crux of the matter and A will slowly realise it.....sethi bros or shyam how does it matter?
will wait for Dia's edited post as always....

    4. i thought the sethi squared (good one!) would have been amazing if they had any sense of comedic timing.. they completed each others sentences yaar! (would have been hilarious if barun and akshay were to dub for them in some crazy voices) and khushi could join in right along with them!!

      Delete
  11. all in all, okay episode. 6/10. why? thankfully, the bloopers have decreased.

laad governor times 3 was cute.when I first saw the outfits, I was like, WT! then bitiya went into kkgsr dabba co. details, and gosh I was cringing in my seat.

i liked the saas drama.. why? for one, nani is supporting NQ. NQ needs support there in the new house, TQ is pregnant, ODG has a business and NQ is alone. good that she has nani's support. whether nani needed to wear the outfit is questionable, but I liked the progression of the sidetrack.

Since they spelled it out in so many sentences, i think the past week's track was about arnav getting to know the real khushi. and I dont think her doing uthak-baithak in the roadside is such a bad thing.. it was shown as almost a bubble around the two of them... an example of ODG's guileless behaviour. like so many other things that people wont agree to in real life, I think in reel life it is okay.

Sandy...a big big hug for u!! TGIF feeling nahin hain kya?

The makers are taking a calculated risk in wrapping important truths in comic situations...it has its pluses and minuses...
I have never been a huge fan of symbolism...ok..greatly becos i can't for the life of me read very deep meaning in signs etc...however far be it for me to say that it does not work for others...If the message can get across loud and clear, i am ok.
In hindsight i feel the epi did say a lot more that it appeared to thru the Sethi charade...Since it was close on the heels of the "annoy ASR" track, for a while it seemed like another of those epi before it went on assume greater significance. Now the only thing is, how many of the viewers understood it as that? Therein lies the success of such a strategy. If the CVs can tighten their storytelling, its a risk well taken.

Liked that ODG talked about her business rather than answering about AR's growth in the past 5 years - when she reveals why she did it - it sounds like she is saying - 'Huh! How dare those crooks question AR!!!
