Brief Summary of Friday - TF's all out attack on Khushi's morals, Payal reveals the big truth about Shyam staying as PG and getting engaged to Khushi ... Anjali almost faints ... more accusations by TF about how Khushi tried to get close to Shyam (DDR) and her actual aim was to bring down Arnav ... negated by NK, and clarified that she was doing it to trap Shyam and find Arnav ... but Khushi finally breaks at that last one and tries to convince Arnav that she was doing it all only to find him ...
Arnav delivers his verdict ... two slaps - one for Di and one for Khushi, the two most important people in his life ... so Shyam has failed to create a rift between ArHi despite all his attempts ... and also failed to acquire Arnav's property ...
VLR is finally kicked out of RM ..."Get Out" ... but not before vowing vengeance on Khushi and Arnav ... his love changed to hate ...
My main criticism ... the trust factor was established, but after three episodes of a dramatic confrontation, the final climax fell a bit flat because a) nothing was actually proved beyond doubt (except in Arnav's mind) and b) the slaps felt like 'too little, too late' ... in terms of climax of the story.
I can understand that it was to preserve a loophole for Shyam to worm his way back into the house via Anjali at a later date, and also to set up the Anjai-Arnav rift ... but that latter could be done quite easily by just Anjali's anger that these huge secrets were kept from her all along. As for the former, Shyam is such a silver-tongued deceiver that for him to wriggle his way back into Anjali's heart would not be difficult at any time.
So there had better be a very good reason why Arnav kept quiet all through, and let TF insult his wife and his sister-in-law in the worst possible way, and did not intervene even when TF's true colors were completely out in the open. However picture abhi baaki hai, mere dost ... let us see what Monday brings.
The best thing is of course, that Arhi's relationship has taken a huge step forward ... and they will battle it out with the rest of the family together.
Next thing to see - how the RMvaasis are going to take all these revelations that came tumbling out of the closet in the last three days. There is bound to be major tension now between ArHi and the rest, and that makes for at least three good solid parallel tracks ... Arhi and Anjali, Arhi and the RMvaasis, and Payash, who now have a good reason to drift apart and have tension. Not to forget the most important track of course, ArHi together :) :">

Since I didn't do a detailed episode update yesterday, just adding the parts where Shyam betrayed himself during his tirade ...
1- When he speaks about Khushi setting herself at him - Arnav is the biggest witness that this is a lie - because of what Shyam said on the terrace, which Arnav actually saw, as well as Shyam's own words to Arnav about his love and junoon for Khushi, plus the road confrontation, where Shyam accused Arnav of forcing Khushi to marry him ...
2- When Shyam speaks about Payal wanting to marry into a rich family - both Akash and Arnav know this is false, as Payal turned down Akash for this very reason, and Akash had to stage a suicide drama with Arnav Khushi's help to get Payal to say yes.
3- Payal confirms Khushi's story about the engagement, and also Khushi's reason that they never wanted to hurt Anjali with the truth, that's why they all kept quiet. Also confirmed to Arnav that the day Khushi learned that Shyam was married, he was thrown out of their house.
4 - Shyam says he first met Buaji at Akash-Payal's roka ... when she approached him to sort out her late husband's pension matter, and it was after that Khushi started throwing herself at him. Payal interrupts, and barely a few seconds later, he says Khushi got a job at AR, then started coming to the house, and then tried to trap him ... when she didn't succeed, then both girls decided to trap both the men of the house. So when did Khushi start trying to trap him? After Payal's roka? Or before? BIG slip.
5- Of course at the very beginning of the whole confrontation, Shyam first claimed he would never dream of saying yes to divorce Anjali, why would he ever agree to sign such papers ... the moment Mami told him that she had also heard his agreement, he backtracked completely, and gave 1001 reasons why he said yes to signing the divorce papers. Including the reason that he signed the divorce papers to get Khushi off his back ... though he never wanted to divorce Anjali ever. Make any sense at all?!
Seeing all these points, I ask again ... why did Arnav keep quiet for so long? Shyam betrayed himself at least four times over ... there were eyewitnesses for Khushi's version of events, including NK, Payal, Mamiji and Arnav himself ... there were none for Shyam's version ... the things he accused Khushi of doing, like kheer, coming close to him, she admitted to those, and gave the reason for it ... while the accusations of wanting to trap him, get close to him prior to marriage, he had no witnesses or proof at all. And if required, the entire Laxmi Nagar could bear witness to the fact that he stayed at Guptas' as a PG. Anjali, the person for whom he ostensibly kept silent all these days, was subjected to seeing a particularly ugly courtroom drama played out at length ... if Arnav was keeping quiet to protect her, why did he not shut up Shyam as soon as he made his first slip? Since he kicked him out at the end ... which was going to be painful to Di at whatever stage he did it ... And he did not need any proof to counter Shyam's accusation that Khushi wanted to destroy him ... the fact that she risked her life three times should be more than good enough ... for him, as well as for the family.
CV's slipped up here big time ... don't know what they were trying to show, but they goofed up majorly by keeping Arnav quiet for three entire episodes, and then not having a dhamaka climax at the end of it to make up for his silence. The slaps were simply not enough. I think that is what was the most disappointing factor. Plus we now have the entire weekend to wait to find out if there was indeed a master plan of ASR in action at all.

TOI has always liked IPKKND - the first time they wrote a critical article was when the OTT comedy was taking place, and this is the second time. CV's need to take note of this.
My husband's comment - they did this to get back at Barun for taking 45 days off ... they've reduced him to standard SP husband who stands mute while all the action is done by the heroine. ;)
My rejoinder - but they also reduced Khushi to standard SP heroine, who has to go through repeated trials of fire to prove her innocence, and stand mutely while all the accusations are being leveled at her. Though to be slightly fair, Khushi and Payal didn't back down, neither did NK ... these are the three heroes of Friday for me. And between them, the entire truth is out ... no thanks to Arnav who is still quiet about his share in the drama.

ReplyDeleteAlso possible ki Anjali will faint and although koi kuch nahi kahega agianst arnav's decision verbally...there will be questions in their eyes and blame and disbelief in their eyes and Khushi won;t be able to tolerate it. She will tell them that she will leave ... arnav will tell her hew believes her and plead her to stay but although Nani and others might look at her with longing..they wont stop her.
Hmm...that will also avoid the situation for the cvs as in whether they will sleep on the same bed in the night..;-)
some random thoughts swirling in my head since the rescue mission...
1) Khushi came back from the dead because of a kiss from Arnav...like the fairytale princesses who need a kiss from their prince charming. She said,"Mar gayi woh khushi.." and now she will be the same khushi again...one who could smile and make others smile...one who could do silly dances to cheer someone up and one who still believed in the good things in life...who hadnt lost faith. Arnav will bring alive that Khushi again..the one who died in the post-force-marriage life.
2) Did anyone else feel that Arnav gave a tiny smile before saying"WHAT?!" when Khushi said Shyam is the kidnapper.Similar to when she revelaed her engagement broke.He was showing he was sad then but was secretly happy.Similarly, their MU is not cleared yet althoiugh he knows she loves him now.When she says SHyam..it's like a confirmation that she doesnt like Shyam as why wud she implicate him otherwise?
3) Shyam ke chehre pe haar ka dar tha..the moment Khushi told Arnav to look into her eyes and decide..I saw fear of failure in his eyes as he knows ki once he looks into her eyes he will be lost..he has seen Arnav lose himself with her earlier..and he himself cudnt resist er charms and got caught in her trap...:-) Par kuch bhi nahi kar saka...he shouted at the top of his voice and refuted all her claims and accusations...but he had no weapon in reply to her Brahmaastra..i.e....no proof..just a plea to look in to her eyes and believe her. The kamina and the lawyer in him cant believe that a person can do that also...uske man me chor hai isi liye he cud not dare to do just tht to his rani sahiba or anyone else in the family.."Hamari aakhon me dekhiye..".Only a true person can do that with confidence...kehte hai na...sacchai ka tej chehre be dikhta hai..:-)

But upside Anji finally fainted!! :-) Shyaam is still not out if the picture ...Arnav and Khushi may may just make it to their room sometime next week:-)

Now does that mean she knows Shyam is a cheat and does not want to carry the baby of a man who is a downright creep or is she using it as a weapon to get RMvaasis to let Shyam back in the pretext that she needs to have the father of the child if she has to go ahead with the pregnancy? Only time will tell.

Opti, I really hope it's the former ... there is enough proof to convince her that Shyam is downright evil, I would be very disappointed in Anjali's character if she could still love Shyam after there was doubt whether he would stoop to harming her Chotey ...
DeleteWe speak about Arnav's love for Anjali, and his putting her above Khushi ... but Anjali loves Arnav equally, and had always put him above her husband. Even the possibility that her husband could harm her beloved brother will put Shyam beyond the pale for her .. it will take a lot for Shyam to get out of that one.
There is a saying in Hindi that for a man, "saari khudayi ek taraf, joru ka bhai ek taraf" ... any man knows that for his wife, her brother outweighs the entire world.
On the down side ... does this mean that Anjali takes center stage during this ME? :(
Oh well, like Sonu pointed out, they need a reason for Arhi to not share the same bed for some time ... Anjali and her hysterics are good enough for that!
If Anj is convinced that Shyam is behind Arnav's kidnapping and also tried to kill him, there is no way Anj will forgive Shyam. The question is, will she know and believe that. I thought she may have a miscarriage, unable to bear the shock of the truth and the cradle will be removed from her room so that she is not reminded of the loss. In the process HP or whoever was carrying the cradle may drop it and the will taped to the bottom of it may surface. This may prove beyond doubt that Shyam is the culprit behind the kidnapping but then that does not gel with the promo of Anj asking for abortion. Whatever be the reason, Anj is going to assume a lot of importance in this track.

I have a feeling that Shyam's guilt or Arnav's explanation will come out fully only in front of the RM vaasis and not Anjali. So she will continue to harbor doubts about whether Shyam is really guilty of everything that he was accused of or not. But as far as being after Khushi goes, there is no doubt about that left in her mind, hence she will blame Khushi for that in some way, and since she knows Shyam was a faithless husband, she decides to abort the baby.
DeleteThe other possibility is that Anjali also comes to know the entire truth - maybe she is the one to find the will taped under the crib, and that proves to her beyond a doubt that Shyam was guilty of everything Khushi accused him of doing. And hence she decides she can't bear to have the baby of the man who could not only betray her by falling in love with another woman, but actually dare to try to hurt her Chotey. For the first she could blame Khushi, but for the second, she will never forgive him. Hence the abortion attempt.

A thought struck me ... while NK and Khushi were accusing Shyam of being the kidnapper, Anjali held pretty strong, and was even able to shout at them to shut up.
DeleteBut once the story about the Shyam-Khushi connection spilled out, Anjali just collapsed - that part seemed to be more damaging ...
Maybe because Anjali had herself SEEN something which already pointed at that connection, hence that part was easier for her believe ... and therefore more upsetting, because she knew that it was true - that there WAS a Shyam-Khushi liaison. Whichever way it went - whether it was Shyam chasing Khushi or Khushi chasing Shyam, but it was there, she had seen it. And once a part of the story was true for her, the rest had to follow ...
As Geetu said, DB said Shyam is Anjali's god ... so yes, Anjali will probably blame Khushi for some time at least, for being the chaser.
I think there will be a repeat of the immediate ArHi post-wedding scenario, but there it was Khushi making all the effort to win back Nani and Anjali, now it should be Arnav's turn to make all the effort, to convince Nani, Mami and Akash that Khushi and Payal were not completely at fault. Anjali of course will be the last ... so the Di hysterics will continue.

Hmm.. like u said verbalizing it meant that there was a link there and yes initially to grasp at a hope for having her world back in order, she is going to find it easier to blame Khushi.
Because in the broken frame incident, did she not keep quiet even when Arnav told all that he had broken the frame though Anjali knew otherwise?
The past is at play in Anjali's mind bigtime and she somehow needs the Happy Family picture to be intact at all times.

DeleteAnjali was quiet throughout Khushi's and NK's accusation that Shyam was the kidnapper. She seemed too shocked to react but when NK inadvertently blurted out the disgusting password 'I love you Khushi' and Shyam tried to explain it she held her hand up and shouted that she had heard enough and refused to believe anything that Khushi had to say. Either she knew the truth and is living in huge denial or she refused to see the truth because she had blind faith in her husband but then if she did indeed have such a strong faith in him, why did she investigate the ring issue? Why did she keep asking him what he was doing in chottey's room whenever she caught him there? But then again she was the one who asked Khushi to go with her husband to get the medicine on the day of the Heer Ranjha act. She was the one who asked Shyam to drop Khushi at Buaji's house for pug phere. Then there were several occasions when she had this inscrutable expression on her face when she saw the two of them together. All this makes me wonder if Anjali is a much more complex character than Arnav ever was/is, although she appears on the surface to be a simpleton. We may see this complexity play out in the next track and whether we like it or not she will be a thorn in Arshi's flesh whether willingly or otherwise.

DeleteI was wondering about the whole concept of love in this show. Arnav believed that Khushi had the hots of his brother-in-law and married her to prevent her from breaking up his sister's marriage but there was never a single day in his entire married life that he stopped loving her. yes, he was harsh with her. He punished her and claimed to hate her but even in the peak of his anger, he couldn't help feeling her pain and instinctively try to protect her.
Going through yesterday's episode for the third time and observing Anjali's expressions closely when the truth kept tumbling out one after another I wonder whether Anjali already believes in the truth and knows that her husband is the cheat. There was no animosity in the look she gave Khushi when she was told that Shyam was Khushi's elusive ex-fiance. She looked overwhelmed and drained by the truth. Knowing Shyam is a crook is one thing but turning her feelings for him from love to hate is quite another. The woman practically worshiped him all these years. She may despise his actions but she would not be able to stop loving him. She will be as torn between her love and loyalty to her bro and her love and duty to her husband.
She may know that Arnav is right in throwing that creep out of the house but she would not be able to throw him out of her heart. If there is another attempt on Arshi's life, Anjali may decide she has had enough and in the hope of getting enough evidence against her husband to put him away for life, she may use herself as the bait. No one will know what really is in her mind and may think that she wants Shyam because she loves him. Arnav may give in and get Shyam back. Only this time the seemingly innocent Anjali will lure Shyam in to complacency and get the evidence to put him away. Her love for her brother will win over her love for her husband.

DeleteI did read this comment. Even I felt Anjali accepted that her hubby is not all good when she heard it all and also saw Arnav pass his sentence. And this is somthing she has known for a while. At least the money part of it.
If Anjali gives Shyam a chance after this incident, then she will do it for her baby mostly inspite of his attempt on Arnav's life.
So if she tries to trap him using herself as bait(and I hope they do show her that ways later because that will be the ultimate revenge on Shyam for all his sins)would it be a second attempt on ArHi's lives alone or rather a second attempt on Arnav's life and another attempt on her / the child's?
Her love for her brother will win over her love for her husband - Hayyeee!!
It would be an apt reversal of how all this while Arnav's love for his sister has won over his love for Khushi!

DeleteMy favourite is Frederica ... and I can so imagine Arnav Khushi in those roles - Khushi is the innocent, naive and yet very shrewd mature young woman, fully responsible for her entire family ... and Arnav as the cynical Alverstoke who falls for that independent streak of hers ... a woman who doesn't suck up to him ever, but is his equal in every way.

Will not go into the details but just want to remind you all of my many posts on how ODB has never been the central character for the CVs and he, though chalked out very well was never given the same importance (in terms of development) as the main heroine – so no, the CVs have not now subjected both leads to typical SP behavior- they have been doing it always – the SP heroine has always been the one to take on the burdens she has always been the one doing something whereas the CVs have never bothered to show us the use of the famed “Shatir demagh” of ODB – did he do anything after the 6 month marriage? Did he try and find out, investigate on his own? Follow up on the many half confessions? Did he even fake his own kidnapping as we had hoped at one point in time? No, he does nothing but we know he is “To do something!” Having said that – yes, our story is far far better than any other – it does have ‘equals’ for leads (at least in concept if not in execution)
So my point is – ODB doing so much right now is the best we could expect from our CVs – given the constraints that it’s a daily soap – they have to stretch it to the maximum and given that in all SP serials - the leading actress is the Heroine!
Also in keeping with the ASR in character –he had to be silent till the breaking point – his ‘speaking out’ is then the final verdict – whether anyone agrees with it or not is immaterial - like always – remember the scenes when he convinced his mami for payash wedding, how he convinced mami in the medicine confusion, he always stayed in the background – never said anything till all had spoken – then stepped in and gave his verdict – the same happened here – except that this time the verdict was not based on proof – he did not need that- it was based on trust.
Also was watching the Arhi – telepathy scene again and realized that ODB was changing – slowly but surely – accepting that he trusts her completely – but she does not know that yet (in her mind she does but he has never spoken out in words in front of her) – the scene was more for telling her and the world about his trust in his wife than exposing the lies of TF – Does it leave others not completely trusting his verdict – of course it does – but then the story has to go on – all agreeing will be the end of the villain and what is a romance without the bad guy

Read everyones take on why Arnav did what he did , but still not convinced with bitwa’s actions. Agreed they (Arhi) never wanted to get the confrontation nor they wanted it get this far, or Bitwa kept quite for his Di, or to trap shyam in his web of lies and was a plan...
If it was for Di then , like Dia said he is doing the same mistake again, not giving the whole truth, the mistake he and Kh did.
If bitwa trusted Kh, he should have step in when her character was getting assinated. The moment shyam said she phasofied him and Arnav and now NK he should have step in and not waited for her plea to do the needful.
If it was again because of Di unable to take to anymore he should have put his foot down and taken her away when shyam tried to null him into clearing him everything, if it was for Di then he should have let her hear everything.. No it was not only for Di but for Khushi also ...
If sandy I go by what you gave 3 instances where Arnav has kept quite because of being guilty and has done the same again, then NO he did not stay upto that part either. In both the cases above – after the GH incidence as well as their talk about parents he knew he was wrong and he did accept that – at GH incidence he had not learned to say sorry hence accepted her resignation and incase of the parents again he knew he was wrong and made a mistake in understanding her , hence to correct it he said sorry for the first time , After the wedding when she called herself orphan again, he knew that he was wrong in getting married to the girl in the way he did (with the contract, when for her marriage meant a dream) but he did not apologise because in his mind she was having a affair with his BIL and betrayed him... but after that he has been there for her stood there when people accused her , going to the extent of telling his beloved Di that he will walk out of the house .. every time she has been hurt he has reacted to it ...
On the bridge when Kh told him the whole truth he had connected the dots but his mind needed the prove and also take the scene of the dhaag scene when he hurt her again unintentionally he told her sorry again because in his heart he had accepted her truth, and each time take the sorry phone call all were to correct is guilty of hurting her ... the ASR still in character ... take airport he knew that he had wronged her. His dimaag wanted the proof the ASR wanted the proof while his heart had accepted her truth. The ILU, Kh risking her life to find him, the first hug, hut were all to just put the seal for him that he was wrong in judging this girl, words may say something else but the physical emotions which goes says way beyond in knowing that the person cares and loves you then the words saying it. Thats when he calls to say sorry when first opportunity strikes – no his prority was to know she was fine and that he was sorry for hurting her , not just that day, but all along, hence the sorry...

ReplyDeleteSo then why today when he knows or I would say he believed and accepted that he needs nothing except her, when he has seen the girl going to length of risking her life and again almost gave her life not once but twice within minutes in front of his eyes, then why didn’t he stand up for her and clear her name.. in front of all and especially infront of Kameena jija who has been degrading his wife.. if he had stepped there and did what he did slap and words of putting K on par with Di, there would have been no reason to give explanations either to shyam or RM ppl nor to his Di..
Today if he was as guilt for his acts infact he had to speak and corrected his mistake..
If he did not want the marriage to come up and he knowing about shyam and hiding the truth then again like Dia said he is a coward and lost the charm of ASR – the ASR who would have stood up for his love .. he not standing up at that crucial moment is what made Kh plea. The delay in stepping up is what mad Kh lose faith in his trust that he still has doubt and she felt helpless that even after laying her life he has not been able to gain 100% of the trust from him.
Happy that it was cleared with the slap and words, but why did not show it in action by stepping up first why did not clear to shyam as well as others that Kh isn’t characterless, and no one can phasofy ASR where did that ego when it was needed the most...
The only way ASR can redeem to me is – If and i hope its the reason that K knowing Shyam would have asked him to promise not lose his temper or intervene or open his mouth unless she asks him,c and even then not give out the reason for their marriage

Some thots: yes Khushi knew she had Arnav's trust but for her i was new found and unfortunately in her experience, GADHA ASR has always done a U turn at teh first sign of contradiction and that is the only reason she had to vocalize her Q to him on trusting her. For her it was too precious now - she said she did it for all teh family AND HIM so this time if he oulled back she would have been shattered.

Arnav keeping silent IMO was more not to crucify Khushi before Anjali and the family. I thought had he spoken up and said whatever he knew, did he have proof no just heresay, and Shyam would have turned it around with some words - diluted the impact of Arnav's stance in this Shyam vs Khushi battle. Plus I am still hoping about the wedding bit coming out to family and Arnav definitely will not want to mention that before Shyam because he would have used it to crucify Khushi painting her as being untrusted by Arnav. But after all this if it comes up, it will show Khushi in a very different light and in one swipe negate everyhings Shyam said. Arnav was concerned for Di but he did not try to sendher away so somewhere he did want her to hear it all just that perhaps when the engagement bit came up he felt it was a tad too much for her given her state. Plus what has happened in their past about betrayal of trust? Perhaps some influence of that too.

Taking a step back, in the domestic violence epi of SJ there was a woman who put up for 15 years in HOPE that she could still turn things around.
I think Anjali believed it all (money, divorce, another woman) the moment Arnav slapped Shyam. I still have this feeling that she knew her husband was not all that pretty as she painted him to be but she hoped that she could have it all. She was the one who pusued the ring and eceipt business the lomgest and also realized it was Khushi's and knew more of her engagement too. Plus I always think a woman just knows when her hubby is cheating on her. Plus I still think she heard some part of what Arnav told her that night. But with the child she had hope. Anjali closed her eyes in despair when Khushi said "Jaanke Anjaan Hum Banein, Dekhke Andekha Humne Kiya" - made me feel ki nahi Anjali was being shown a mirror here...
But now that hope has been quashed and if anything it is for this alone she will initially be angry with Khushi plus the fact that Khushi could have confided in her alone and not need to have done this big family khulaasa (irrational but how do u console a woman who just had her full life undone before her eyes?)

There is more to unravel in the week to come. But Shyam intended to entrap Arnav to blast Khushi with his tirade and that is where he miscalculated. And yes in a way Arnav's resolves of silence weakening and him slapping SHyam though needed has also alerted Shyam that things have changed between Arnav and Khushi.

ReplyDeleteGot back. Managed to delay my departure so we left at 8.30. Good thing hubby was hooked on the episode to complain:).
Hubby aka layman's view.
He thought it was very good. Abhaas his favorite was brilliant and he said oh Poor Anjali. Ensemble acting was appreciated.
Soooooooooo, If we are looking at people who do not dissect the episodes as we do, the purpose was served.
For them the hero slapped the villain who dared to hurt his Di and wife and threw him out of the house.
I am not sure how much they even would have remembered the terrace confrontation, it would have been more like Khushi risked her life to save arnav who loves her, MUed her but corrected himself by taking on the villain who insulted his wife and hurt his Di.
For the rest of us,
Slap came a bit too late.
Dialogues came a bit too late.
The slaps did not have the dhamaka Shyam getting slapped by Khushi maybe cos it was not shown in replay 3 times with the gol gol camera*wink*
Timeline:
So chances are they will continue from the moment he got slapped to refresh the weekend kay baad tuning in audience memory and maybe we will get more.
Even if we don't, Shyam gets thrown out, Anjali faints, the family tends to Anjali.
Mon, Tues, Wed = Arnav explains what happened, the loopholes in Shyam's arguments and there are many.
Thursday Friday, we can expect the SHOWER, Arhi scenes along with the family introspection scenes.
ME........Chunk of it will be Arhi, I am guessing and the next day morning everyone searching for Anjali.
Abhaas was Brilliant, maybe the writers wanted to give him a spectacular exit.
Anyway Shyam can be easily brought back.....All he has to do is play the baby card, the baby needs a father, I repent for my mistakes yada yada and she brings him home and tension shuru?

I have a serious doubt. If Arnav put the six-month clause in their marriage to ensure that Anj delivers her baby by then, it would mean Anj was already 3 months pregnant at the time of Arshi wedding. We are supposed to be close to the end of the contract period, anywhere between 4 to 6 months. That would mean that Anjali should be at least 7 months pregnant (in case of 4 months) or near the time of delivery (in the case of 6 months). Forget the fact that her tummy is as flat as a tennis court (as visible in the transparent sarees she wears). Even if we presume she is one of those lucky moms who does not show while pregnant, how does one explain her asking for an abortion at such a late state of pregnancy? They don't abort beyond 4 1/2 months of pregnancy.

When he plays it, he’ll give a munh-thod jawab for everything. Part2 is what Shyam will come up with to complete Anji’s brain washing. (And going by Sandy’s numbers, that will be 15 days. What are they going to show till then? I hope something will happen by ME))

su, yes, arnav and khushi can implore di to stay at RM.. maybe khushi can leave the house so di stays on.. but we have seen anjali get hurt and leave when arnav once said "this is my house".. so anjali is as strong as her bother, she can leave Rm if she is convinced of her husband's innocence... but IMO, anjali knows that shyam may have had fidelity issues from the time of the engagement ring drama.

This is why I believe he had written all this beforehand. He has raised so many allegations here. He has even implied that Khushi was smart enough to entrap not just ASR, but NK too! And see how smartly Shyam being entrapped by her dialogue was avoided here.He outright denied having known her.

The promo showed that dialogue where Khushi says engagement dialogue and VLR says she phasa- ofied him. Where did that dialogue go?
I feel it will come in part 2 when he‘ll tell Rani Sahiba that she did entrap him and he was led on for some time. He has to say it because ASR is going to give out his side of the story once Di gets better. Then Shyam has to agree and he could say that he was going to tell Rani Sahiba everything, he was waiting to find out what she was actually up to and so on. For all you know, he will say that he allowed her to lead him on so that he can find out her plans. You know, “once I heard from her mouth that she is going to ruin Saale saab and I knew how characterless she was, I wanted to find out the depth of her deception even though I felt it’d endanger our marriage” and so on. And “How can I think of someone else after our princess was sent as a blessing from DM” too!

DeleteBack from GH: Khushi tells him very innocently that she does not want any MU between her and ASR and she is not able to convince him. She refuses to help him at first. (Of course, later on explained by I wnt his whole wealth)
There itself Shyam says that after all these days together I know you guys’d have talked.
But jalebi scene and restless night waking up RM: Was that an act? Shyam was so scared about her concern that he had to get that msg sent to pacify her. He can see Arhi bond here CLEARLY.
Next thing he knows, she almost rescued him putting her own life in danger. She gets back to RM, about to spill the story and again he is scared, so he ends up threatening her with ASR’s life. CAN’T HE SEE A WOMAN MADLY IN LOVE HERE?
She continues on with her ‘Arnav ko bachao’ plans and he had to send warning again.
And when ASR is given an opportunity, who does he call up? KHUSHI! The woman he MUs- how did he suddenly learn to trust her? If Shyam is not blind, he can see Arhi bond here too. LOUD AND CLEAR. “Khushi was the only one who knew that Arnav was kidnapped, that's why Arnav called her”- Still this means he TRUSTS her. And Shyam knows this was not there before.
Of course if Shyam is blind, he does not see any of this. It depends on whom the CVs blessed with brain in this kidnap drama.
Khushi was smart, but does that mean the stock of brains was over and Shyam was dumb.
And suddenly he got blessed with brains again to dazzle us with this drama???
Now Shyam is faced with two headaches- Codicil and ARHI bond- what will he do?
(I have to confess here that the Cvs have been playing hide and seek with me. I was getting majorly confused. Too many bloopers, suddenly villainwa is dumb, now and then I see Khushi winning and I am fine with it, but it was not a smooth ride.
Of course this is not the gospel truth, just a point worth thinking.)

Atleast his brains returned from vacation when he found out about her deception. Couldn’t he have put it together then?
Also he heard the relief in ASR’s voice as he spotted her.
Because the way he argued was like a typical lawyer’s argument, cornering her like that. And outright denying all accusations against himself. HE HAD NO OTHER GO. He knew that too many people knew too many halftruths and he was trying to confuse all of them. But he knew ASR knows the truth and could verify it, but might keep quiet to take it all up at a later date and explain things nicely. ASR was going to do that when Shyam dragged him back and started off with character assassination. He wanted ASR to lose his cool, take some action in anger. That is what he achieved.
And if the wedding contract had come up right then, Shyam would’ve caught on to that also and said, “See. This is what I said. This characterless girl was willing to enter a contract marriage. Whoever heard of something like this? He would’ve argued his way through. Now all his arguments have succeeded in planting a seed of doubt in everyone’s minds.
Now he needs to find a way to nurture it.
i like the direction of your ramblings.. and truly, this sudden shatir dimaag of snakewa smells strongly of some fresh CV mix... someone who did not participate in the sethi brothers drama, i hope.

DeleteI do feel that although Shyam knew that Khushi loves Arnav, he still felt confident of being able to brainwash Arnav into believing his story ... after all, Arnav had believed him after the terrace scene, and right till the time Arnav left at the airport, Shyam knew that Arnav did NOT believe Khushi's word ... Khushi was desperately hoping that Shyam's testimony would convince Arnav. Yes, things have changed between them ... but how much of the change does Shyam actually know? He knows Khushi's side of it, but not yet Arnav's ... for all you know, he believed the goons when they told him that Arnav and Khushi got separated the night they ran away ... which means again that they did NOT stay together even the night Arnav escaped, even though Khushi rescued Arnav. He knows Arnav called Khushi, but Khushi was the only person who knew Arnav was kidnapped, makes sense for Arnav to call her, not just because he loved her. And the last part ... they came back separately to the house ...
So I am reserving judgement on this one ... I think Shyam does give a lot away when things start to unravel ... he did not know about NK's deep involvement, so he assumed that NK just came in at the end to go to the restaurant ... he forgot? Mami's involvement, and miscalculated that she hadnt heard his answer ... he didn't bargain for Payal letting out the PG truth ... a lot of things unraveled for him and he started slipping up completely, well before he made that slip of blaming Khushi for doing the chasing.
Or maybe that part was the only pre-meditated part - like he didn't expect Payal to speak up, he was also confident that Arnav would not talk about the forced wedding ... and if Arnav had spoken about it, Shyam had his reaction ready, like you said.
But after he leaves, I'm sure Arnav will clear the doubts to the family ... not immediately, because Di will faintwa ve ... but eventually. And Khushi will be cleared in front of the family, but maybe not in front of Anjali yet. Thus leaving that seed of doubt in her mind ... and a way for him to come back.
Let us see ... front front, see bhat happens ...

A lot has been said about how the last scene was about the trust factor which Arnav now is exhibiting but I wonder whether one can call this purely trust. Yes, he trust Khushi now but if you were to watch the episode as an impartial observer, don't you think that NK's testimony supporting K's claim she said what she did to win Shyam's trust and find out where Arnav was hidden can be construed as proof? After all NK is part of his family and why would NK lie? In fact I couldn't understand why the rest of the family had trouble believing NK when he said he himself heard and saw what Shyam was up to. If no one else, I would have expected mami to believe her nephew.

DeleteIt is not just about disbelief, it is about allowing what NK said to overrule the image you have built of a person in your mind over time. And all said and done NK was a visitor whereas the others had been living with Shyam day in and day out over time and never had they found anything seriously amiss to cause concern. It is the enormity of how is it that yoyu could not have seen all this happening right under your eyes also comes into play I think.
It will sink in over time and then the fact that NK is also family and means well will come into effect.

But like you girls have written on ydya'd post, all the allegations Shyam made on Khushi, at various points in time Arnav himself has made on Khushi and it was holding up a mirror to him too to show him just how much abuse he has hurled at her by misjudging her from the very start.

the CVs either pay no attention or not enough attention to the other characters but i felt there were some interesting side stories here:
- the oldest is generally 'considered' the most fragile - health wise and generally care is taken to hide potential bad info from them - but it was very interesting to note that Nani stood her ground - closed her eyes - did not like what she heard but still stood erect - She is the eldest, has seen the world, has experienced ugliness and hence can stand a lot more than one imagines - will she reveal some ugliness of the past??
- Payal - stands up for her sister - is calm and confident against TF but starts getting flustered when she tries to talk to her husband - acting skill here or a purposeful insight to her character i dont know - but was just wondering if its her low self esteem/under confidence/insecurities at play here - will she ever gather the guts to tell her husband - Yes i am lower middle class, not up to your world but accept me as i am - OR - Yes i need help to to adjust to your world - help me (like you did pre wedding!)
- Mami - (despite my loving mami as a character!) TF's words must have had some speck of truth in them when he said 'chotay ghar ki ladkiyan.. (am talking from mami's perspective) - did she have a similar past and hence sees that repeated - and of course what was ok for her will never be ok for her daughter in law (she has to be rich and from a good family!)

God knows, there are actually lots of them, starting from Khushi's entire engagement story about her fiance being a PG, the way the guy disappeared when the family went there for the roka, the way her hubby disappeared at Diwali, even at their own anniversary party, came late for Teej, only after Khushi and Payal left ... the ring bill at the same time as Khushi's engagement ... oh, there are lots!!!

I couldn’t go thru the whole of y’day’s discussions. From TOI and some of the disc I gathered the mood.
TOI, give the poor guy a break!
It is tough being ASR. He got kidnapped, realized he was MUing an innocent girl all this while, escaped to get caught again, finished a tiresome fight with some ten goons, adrenaline rush over saving his wife almost running her over in the attempt, and worst of all for a moment he thought he had lost her forever. And God knows, looks like his RTR has started too.
What would the poor guy want now?
A nice bath and a good sleep(for all of us logic- seekers), even romance has to wait.
And what was dished out to him?
Outside RM, ASR had asked Khushi one Q:
Can U prove your allegation? Because this was a serious one and if it was going to be broken to Di, it had to be one clean sweep. And bitiya was confident. I don’t know if they’d have made any plans there. If yes, well and good, we’ll see it tomorrow.
What happened inside was totally unexpected for ASR. Had he known KKG did not have solid proof, he may not have gone ahead with it. He’d have preferred to play along, gather some proof and then take Shyam on. Now this was turning into a mess. He was more than convinced of her innocence, but for the rest he needed proof. He knew NK and Payal were right too, but Shyam was refuting all their arguments too. He was asking for proof and did Arnav Singh Raizada have proof? Sorry, he has been breaking his head over this for 3 months and till date he has no proof of her innocence. Of course, he can only say that he saw them together in the terrace, but that implicates Khushi too. When he says he knows they had a past, he has to explain everything else too. How to do that without dragging his wife into this? He needed time to think this over, and di was in shock as expected.
There, he got dragged back into the mess and it got worse. He held on.
But when Khushi pleaded, he did not see just red. He saw what he had done to ‘them’.It was going to take a while to bring back that ‘atoot vishwas’ again, and this creep was responsible for ruining a perfect love story. And his Di’s life too. Fataakh….Fataakh…..
ASR was perfect. I have only one complaint. He let VLR roam free after two thappads.
What about kidnap and attempted murder? I am surprised that no one else feels strongly about this. Anyway, I’ll forgive him for this momentary lapse in his shatir dimag for all the aforementioned reasons.

The entire Lakshmi Nagar can vouch for the fact that Shyam was PG at the Guptas' for six months ... and if he didn't see Khushi's face at Holi when Shyam tried to put color on her, he is blind ... oh wait, he was already that ... blinded by the terrace scene :)

NOT a good day for Arnav! Neither for Khushi either ... but then, she knew about the KJ part, the rest has been pretty stressful for her as well, including coming back from the dead ...
Yep, VLR is kidnapper and attempted murderer ... so why did he let him go free yet again?! Philandering husband doesn't need to be locked up, but kidnapper does ... let the police take over and do all the fact-finding and detective-giri ... why leave it completely on Khushi and NK to solve the case?

Also, I am glad Payal didn't say Khushi was coerced into the engagement.
Shyam would go:
"yeah, this supposed eng. happened after Saale Saab announced his engagement. She didn't waste any time in trapping the next person!"
Then may be,this too:
" I was waiting for this truth to come out actually. She phasaofied me too. Let me tell you how....."
None of this is going to have any impact on ASR, but Shyam might have thought that when he plays the entrapment card, that small 'trust'that she succeeded in creating will be blown away with his accusations.

ReplyDeleteMe saying ANji has this vaguye feeling of disquiet is all. There have been times in the past when she has had this look in her eyes when he blustered around. Yes she laughs it off when he says it but she keeps telling him done as if by him saying it it may come true. But yeah it will be a while in teh future before she starts to connect. For now her brains are off on their vacation down the French Rivieria!
I loved your random thoughts. I kind of liked how all the family heard it together and it was different portions of the overall that struck a chord in them.
Nani - poor thing dont know what horrors she has seen in the past for her daughter. Now her granddaughter and grand daughter in law in such a big mess.
Payal - yes it is her self confidence and los esteem. I guess that is what they tried to show with the party and hig heels.
Mami - that was a super shot by Shyam - in a way appealing to mami's need for welath adn recognition but in a way he also insulted her. Plus mami know when news of the 1st broken wedding came out, payal told mami she would not marry akash if mami did not want it. So Shyam's claim was all wrong. I feel mami will be the peacemake for Akash and Payal in the days to come..if it happens solid irony!

An indication that soon there will come a time in the future that of the 2 important women in his life, Shyam will get slapped first for Arnav's wife Khushi and then for his Di Anjali?
Also that nightmare Arnav has of his mother with a shot in the backend will be replaced by the sight of Khushi falling off that cliff?

DeleteThat middle of the road breakdown scene was on my mind and I wondered ki is baar waisa type kuch kyun nahi hua and I realized that for now it is not so much about Khushi. Last time it was about Khushi and love and betrayal and he broke down in that manner.
Made me think in future is it possible that there will be a scene when there is a similar setup like that dark night when something related to Khushi happens and ASR again breaks down all alone (because he cannot go to Khushi his strength). The FBs begin with Khushi falling off the cliff and all their tender moments Holi, HR and more and ASR emits that blood curdling scream for the helplessness that rages in him and then recalls tender moments with Di, her smiling face, his promises and breaks down. And once again ASR rises from the ashes!

She said the same thing in different words after A-K wedding too. That Chhote has forgotten his responsibility to family when 'love' struck! After that came the 'father' dialogue.

It took her a while to forgive them both, especially Khushi.

Once I got a vague feeling from one of Nani's expressions that she knows Anji's marriage is not as perfect as she thinks. As if she was foreseeing a heartbreak somewhere. Of course, up till now, she had no idea about K& Shyam, but I wouldn't be surprised if she believed Shyam is capable of it.
Barsi reminded me of mother's B'day. Why is it that he can attend the barsi but has to go away on B'day. Odd!

I have been reading all your comments over the last couple of days with interest. You ladies are all brilliant. The episodes have much more depth in them after reading all the different points that you make so well. That is why this blog is an addiction to us all.

I cried when poor khushi's was verbally attacked, but also thought that Arnav was waiting for her to let him know when she could do no more. I also think that Khushi will feel so uncomfortable that she will want to leave. This may give them a little private time to kick start getting to know each other in the romantic sense.
Shyam will be back, more dangerous than before but with a different face of repentance. I would be really surprised if an abortion happens. This might be where Shyam plays his cards to get back into RM. Not looking forward to the hysterics, so hope this track Is very,short and we are given what we all love the most. Our two favourite people on screen together with lots of wooing and romance.

The romance is definitely set to kick in. He knows he loves her and she means the world to him. He knows she cares for him and is willing to go this extent for him. Now it will be all about making her say it to him.
