Light hearted for the most part ... Khushi actually managed to get away with the her tall tales to the doctor ... but just for a short while, not long enough.
When Arnav rang the bell for the fourth time on the first day his wife went to her maika, I laughed ... the guy just can't stay away from her, can he? But now what is he going to do?
And Mami catches Anjali telling stories ... has Anjali already met Shyam?
First ArHi scene ... full on flirtatious Arnav ...
Second ArHi scene ... furious Arnav, furious Khushi ... waiting for the continuation of their fight tomorrow. Looks like they will end up having a huge fight and he will storm off ... and then Nani will let loose the bombshell ... six months are over. Leaving Arnav to do ... what?!

Not too much to add today ... the episode appeared to be a light-hearted filler, and the precap indicates it was exactly that, the calm before the storm, as the next storm gathers speed.
I gave Khush's story some thought - was it about Shyam and his sister? About Shyam's mother? An unmarried girl left alone, her marriage broken ... 'shaadi nahin hui ... ab voh akeli Mumbai mein rehti hai ...' Abandoned because she was pregnant from an affair with Arnav's father? Is there any connection to Shyam at all, or is this a connection with Khushi's parents? Where does that abandoned girl whose marriage broke, and who is now living alone in Mumbai fit in?
At the moment, it does not fit clearly into any scenario, so I will gloss over it for the time being, and presume it was exactly what it was supposed to be ... a tall tale.
Loved the sleeping Buaji, the concerned gullible doctor ... as for Khushi, I alternated between wanting to wring her neck for spinning yet another story, and laughing at the story itself and the dramatics accompanying it :)) Sanaya was completely hilarious!
I counted ... twenty four hours have not elapsed yet, and Arnav has made five trips already to his wife's maika ... :))
- first, to drop her
- second, to return her mobile phone
- third, on his way back from dropping Akash to the airport, ostensibly to visit Buaji - sent away by Khushi
- fourth, return with the doctor
- fifth, return when he discovered Khushi's lies about Buaji
No wonder Khushi says 'Arnav Singh Raizada haath dho kar peeche pad gaye hain!' =))
Is the sixth coming up? When he realises six months are over, and Khushi has left for good?
Mami got one thing correct ... Khushi has her pagal premee pati firmly wrapped around her little finger all right ... Come pick me up ... okay ... No, don't bother, I've gone home ... okay, I'm coming there ...
And when he comes, he loses no opportunity to flirt with his wife ... and claim that kiss he's been wanting for so long ... :">
But Khushi is not Mrs. Arnav Singh Raizada for nothing ... well trained by her husband, she's good at the sharting too ... except that he hates to lose ...
And he knows and she knows, she is not unaffected by his closeness ... not in the least ...
The dhak dhak made a reappearance today ... Khushi made a brave effort ... but he left her remembering his kiss ... even though she tried her best to snap out of her 'sapnon ki duniya' ... but it took an effort ...
Loved Sanaya's and Barun's expressions in that scene ... the teasing, Arnav's confidence, his full on flirting, Khushi's awareness ... and then her soft smile and blush after he left ... Sanaya's expressiosn there ... perfect! =D>
Anjali's blank calls continue ... why did Shyam call on the house phone? Was it to check who was in the house? And to ask Anjali to come outside?
And Mami gets back from annoying saas avatar to her more interesting Manorama Bond one ... her suspicions raised immediately at Anjali's extra-long walk, her mysterious phone call ... more tall tales here ...
The last ArHiBua scene ... Barun,Sanaya and Buaji were hilarious, Arnav very seriously and sadly recounting Khushi's tall tale, Buaji's complete absorption in the sad story, and Khushi's initial anger changing to consternation at being found out so soon, and her desperate attempts to turn the topic, ignored very sweetly and sadly by Arnav, so absorbed is he in the tragic tale :)) ... Khushi sweetheart, Nani and NK said it truly, you don't know how to lie, you're pathetic at it, you get caught out immediately ...
As she did by a furious Arnav ... but after Shuklaji's phone call, she is furious as well ... and we get a role reversal ... Khushi backing Arnav against the wall ... and he tries to tell her 'in cheezon se farak nahin padta hai' ... but he's wrong, farak padta hai ... because she doesn't want any favour from him ...
And now he loses it ... favour?! she's his wife, her family is his family too ...

You were right it is the last day of the contract. But tell me I am not wrong to hope something is going to happen before the night ends? Did not ASR just tell Khushi that he never loses a bet and he made a bet with himself that he will win her back before the contract ends..

The shart in my mind is ASR's promise to himself that night when he first told her I wish I had never met you, then stopped her using the contract and then in his mind said I'm sorry Khushi but I will win you back before the contract ends.

Yaar yeh Teej is differnt days all over India kya? Wiase last year's Teej epis happened on 28th July I think. I was happily seeing some over the weekend.

And Khushi bitiya was shouting farak padhtha hai also today. And her dhak dhak came bak. Then like havan night when she kissed him and blushed, he teased her about her phooli hui saans and she aagin touched her cheek.
Does any of you feel ASR will perhaps cheat and call Khushi in a blank call manner saying ASR was in an acccident and she goes haring and tearing to her Arnavji and in her relief runs to him and hugs him and bitwa gos Kyun tumhe kya farak padhtha hai?

DeleteBitwa and bitiya have never kept count. Ya toh it is still not the last day as per bitya's dialogue and Nani's dialogue is more of a generic oh its been nearly 6 months and that is why bitwa has to go check the calendar.
Ya phir bitiya's dialogue was a blooper. And Khushi walked out knowing that Arnav could not break Payal's marriage as the ontract period was over or nearly over ina day or two.

Just a silly moment in the epi and i had to stop and think, Khushi getting Buaji to move her hand by inducing a tickle...look at the pure joy on Khushi's face when she does that...it was probably not intentional but for me that was Khushi shining thru in that moment in all her glory, San, u r the best!!

Hugsss.... Thx for saying bahot kheech tasn ho gai. That's what i said my last post on yesterday's epi that i was getting IPK blues. Glad it's moving.... If ASR HAS FOUND OUT THE TRUTH ABOUT WHY KHUSHI LEFT THEN IT's an indication of happy times ahead isn't it? Surely he will make the best possible effort to bring her back.
Yep, I'm glad they didn't stretch it any more ... time for contract to end, Khushi to leave for good ... for the time being anyway ... and Creepwa to re-enter ... just in time for Teej.

Rekha, I loved the entire tall story telling ... Sanaya has the comedy down pat ... and Buaji's superbly timed snores were the icing on the cake! The doctor was good too ... Khushi says 'nanhi si jaan' ... and he looks at Buaji's vast girth :))) Very well put together scene ... I thought it would be OTT, but they pulled it off!!!
Dia, this PH is quite lucky with Extras...most of them are good....right from the dhobi in ASR's first aplogy episode to lallan to the doctor...

No Sandy its not KKG's blooper - its the CVs BIG mistake - they seem to be making the story in the fly - literally - one day they shoot with a mind set of 4 months gone two to go - ODB to win back his lady love

what it does is, it reflects badly on our characters - what kind of a shatir demagh hero is he if he does not know the time is up - specially when he just made a promise of winning her back!!

And forget the baby bump - everything else also needs to add up - they stretch 1 ipk day into weeks and conveniently eat up two months!

1. This 6 months up thing- I fel they've changed something here probably and forgot about the baby bump. Is this for when Shyam comes, the CVs want the marriage to be legally over, so technically ODB can have no claims over ODG?

Option 1
Shyam's mother had 2 children, a son (shyam) and a daughter shyam's sister). According to khushi's story, son got married 2 years ago, shyam anji got married nearly 4 years ago. The nayi bahu could not adjust in sasuraal, tortured MIL and finally left home with the son. Anji is generally a good person. Could not really have tortured shyam's mother physically but she is also manipulative and insecure. It might just be her insecurity... So shyam and anji leave home come to RM. Ofc shyam has persnal agenda coming to RM not just because anji wanted to leave sasuraal. According to khushi's story the daughter is unmarried although they have tried to get her married. IMO shyam's sister is connected to Arnav's father, she had a relationship with him, either Arnav's father abused her or they had an illegitimate relationship. According to khushi's story the daughter is 32 years of age and living in mumbai. 15 years ago (when arman's parents died) shyam's sister would have been 17 years of age. Could Shyam's sister and arnav's father have a illegitimate child (daughter), the niece from khushi's story and that would also make her Arnav-anji's half sister.... This also gives shyam a reason for revenge.
Option 2
This one is less appealing but here it goes, shyam's grandmother had two children, a son (shyam's father) and a daughter (shyam's aunt). Shaym's parents left grandmother's house as mother took his father away. Shyam's aunt had an illegitimate relationship with arnav's father. The aunt is unmarried and is in mumbai. Unmarried due to the illegitimate relationship with arnav's father and may be she also has a child with Arnav's father, Arnav-anji's half sister. Shyam wants to take revenge for his aunt.
Basicaly the daughter of Jha family was abused by Mallik family and hence the daughter of the Mallik family pays for it.
Hey UJ, read ur option 1 on redux as well...the difference was that the niece in question was Arnav's mom (as per doodleberry's post)....so Arnav's dad had an illicit relation with Arnav's mom's cousin, i.e her Buaji's daughter....
Deletei also like this thought..just for the reason, that without a backstory, shyam pursuing khushi story is totally spineless....also it pins the blame on khushi, as anjali will always blame khushi and also khushi herself will keep feeling guilty.....a backstory will free her of any blame....this is major flaw of khushi's character naa...and it wud've been better if she learns to appreciate herself without any outside influence...but i dont think they will let that happen..cause she is an sp bahu so has to be the sacrificial lamb.....
so changing her character slowly, where she begins to realize that whatever happened was not her fault, she just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, is not gonna happen, though i would've loved that....

Nani has two children, a son (mama) and a daughter presumably Anji's mother. So this means Mama's first wife was a bad woman. She tortured nani and took mama away. Also that means nani's daughter is/was unmarried and the niece is married. So that would mean Anji is an illetimate child of Arnav's father and nani's daughter. While Arnav is the legitimate child of Arnav's father and nani's niece...

Plus Anji mentions Nupur yday and nupur also means payal or anklet. Maybe Nupur is her nanad.
In Option 1, if Arnav and Anjali's mother is like Khushi (i can live with that because I have always felt that one of the draws Arnav had to Khushi was because she subconsciously reminded him of his mother's nature), she mentions that her husband asks a lot fo questions and does not let her go anywehre. Maybe Arnav's dad used to do that but then his mom used to make bahaanas to come meet this buaji anyways.
The pasrt whre Arnav stopped and said I feel bad for this woman and her bathijee is I think in the context of his mother and that mooh boli bua just like Khushi and Madhumati. Because Madhumati commented that this eems to be one unhappy family and that should be the Raizadas right?

but all his plan went kaput when arnav fell in love with khushi....after that he tried to fix it...but ended up messing it more (for himself)
now since akash is in mumbai and this woman is also there, he might see something.....like maybe shyam meeting a woman etc......also anjali meeting shyam outside the door of RM is highly impossible...i guess that meeting is just to throw us off-track....another googly from the cv's....

I mean if buaji's daughter is cousin, buaji's son will also be cousin right? If Shyam is arnav-anji's mom's buaji's sin, it makes Shyam Arnav-anji's cousin mama. I doubt shyam will marry his cousin niece for revenge... Hence i am still sticking to it being Shyam's story. As in

So for the time being, this was just Khushi's tall tale, unrelated to Shyam. Shyam is just a greedy fellow, married Anjali for money, and fell in love/lust with Khushi.

DeleteDuring the KN track Shyam was going to kill Arnav after 15 days. So as far as Shyam is concerned, Arnav would be dead and he would leave Anji for khushi. Anji would not have signed divorce straight away so khushi would still be Di ki saut. I don't think shyam wanted yo bring Di ki saut specifically, he just wanted to destroy the Malliks. With Arnav dead and Anji left by her hubby, Anji would have lost both the men in her life destroying Anji completely....
Khushi not sure she would have much to do with Arnav's past. She was only 8 when her parents passed away right... She was far too young although her parent's accident might have something to do with the Mallik's.
Although I am now thinking, Arnav's FBs of the past are of Anji's wedding breaking and his mom's death. What if Khushi's parents were somehow responsible for Anji's first wedding to break? I mean they could have known about the illegitimate child that Anji father had a brought out that secret in front of the groom's family.
This would mean life would come full circle. Khushi's patents responsible for breaking Anji (Arnav's Di's wedding) and Arnav responsible for breaking khushi's jiji Payal's wedding.
This is just me thinking aloud.
Regarding Khushi's involvement, I'm thinking more in terms of Khushi's parents being in the same accident as Arnav's dad or something ... Arnav's dad caught with his girlfriend in the accident, on his way to his daughter's wedding ... so the secret of his girlfriend comes out at the same time as his death ... but why would the mother commit suicide then? Was she as weak as Anjali? Couldn't take the shame?

Shyam ... yes, he could be connected ... but his amateurish attempts to kill Anjali are then a mystery - he wasn't bothered about Arnav's wealth at that time? Or did he think he would continue to be favoured damaad and could wheedle his way into the money at a later date?
Yup i agree that Shyam's lame attempts at killing anji don't really fit in and hence I am saying this is just me thinking out loud. As you say it might just be a tall tale Khushi spun... IPK land mein kuch bhi ho sakta hai....

Presuming that since Anji was talking to shyam at the gates of RM, shyam is in dehli and so akash will not bump into shyam in mumbai so he either gets clues about shyam's sister or about payal's 1st wedding or nothing (if CVs decide to not extend his role then getting angry at payal without any reason).
Did anyone notice how expectant bitiya was when arnavji holds her. she did not step back, she did not close her eys and infact payttention to her right hand it actually comes closer to hold him and then she snapped out and got the prescription from him. awww.... bitiya you can't resist him for too long, can you? and with ASR being in the flirty mode anyways and being so nice to you, bitiya you have no hope in the world to run way from him....
Looking forward to tomorrow. So Arnav realises it's 6 months to his wedding and that's why biwi has left coz contract nearly over (ina few hours). Bitwa time to act and act fast. Go get her...

Yes, today's episode reminded me of the mehendi episode and poolside kiss on the cheek. She even touches her cheek and blushes before snapping out again. You are now bitwa's ambulance moment with the realisation of end of contract and then propose (bindi scene)and shaadi. The bindi scene was just hayeee... I so want to recreate that scene while they at it. Why do I get a feeling it will not end at wedding, we will have another confrontation like terrace confrontation soon, shyam will come for Teej. will there be a showdown betwen shyam, khushi and arnav this time witnessed by mami bond. remember when Arnav calls up during KN track, the phone gets passed from nani to mami. nani has been made aware of some truth(s) by Arnav, will it be mami who will find out next... if not the whole truth at least part of the truth.

DeleteIf it is all Payash wedding times plus echoses of teh past (he had helped her with the bills, he had on Diwai and told all of them to let him know if they neded help), it is all leading upto the havan night and the actual wedding night.
Now how long this night will be is t be seen. Arnav will give Khushi a marriage to make it all legal but I want him to confess to her that the time on the contract is immaterial to him only to her and then tell buaji and nani how he forced Khushi fro this wedding. And maybe Payal and this is what Payal hides from Akash because Khushi tells her to. His talk on bharosa mat todna.
Also Nani was sewing when Arnav walked into RM after dropping Khushi with only Payal around.
Mami is going to be another Narad Muni and Anjali is going to be the one to bring Shyam in. Anji is so Bubbly track. Mami is going to blow teh whostle after her investigation by herself or she will confront Anjali just like she did Bubbly.
Thing is even if Bitwa confesses Khushi will bring up Di's happiness - it is time for communication and what gives me hope is that Khushi forgot the phone whih Arnav went to return and then he asked her to phone him if she needed anything plus they are talking. So all Khushi needs is reassurance from Arnav that

Plus the last time Khushi thought Arnav haath dhoke uske jaan ke peeche padha tha,"aatma hathya" he told her he never loved La. Will he this time tell her it has always been her?
And this time it will all be about her aatma samman - self respect

Sandy, Khushi did stop Payal from telling Akash the details, but Payal said straight out that Arnav knew the reason, so Akash had got the hint that Arnav knows more about Payal's broken wedding than he let on. So if he accuses Payal of not telling him about that, Arnav is guilty of the same offence.
DeleteI have a feeling Khushi will tell Nani and Buaji NOT to tell Payal about the forced marriage for her sake, to spare her feelings. As it is, Payal and Akash are strained, Khushi will not want to add to that strain.
That is IF Buaji and Nani get to know about the forced marriage at all.
If we are doing a 360, or a repeat ... then we have reached the mehndi kiss. After that, Khushi kissed Arnav back, and Anjali-Nani got to know about ArHi, started match-making, and we got the bangle injury, more farak padta hai, the bangle gift and open care and concern for Khushi from ASR in front of the family. Then we got an admission from Arnav that he had bought the bangles ... but he didn't tell her why. Followed by the wedding day, saree choosing, bindi ... and then shaadi.
So parallels now ... we're already in the middle of a repeat farak padta hai in reverse, Arnav admitting farak padta hai because her family is his own.
Bangle gift and open care for Khushi - the mechanic track? She looks for a job, he quietly helps her to get the money somehow without letting her know he's organised it ...
Open care in front of family ... Nani and Payal know, he tells them not to tell Khushi, but she suspects it's him ..
If Shyam is worming his way back, then Anjali also knows and is not too happy, and shows it ... Nani cajoles her by saying Buaji is Payal's Buaji and it's their duty to help her out. Arnav starts getting a hint of Anjali's true feelings for Khushi.
Khushi discovers by hook or crook that Arnav has organised the money, after she told him not to ... he helps her get a job to retain her self-respect - choosing her saree with his help ...
Bindi will be marriage ... for sure. A small private marriage ... maybe by this time, Arnav realises Anjali is not as accepting of Khushi as he had thought she was on the surface, or Shyam makes an appearance by this time, so Arnav doesn't want Khushi back in RM till Shyam is sorted out ... but he vows to Khushi that their marriage will be accepted by the family.
Dia saree choosing has happened isn't it? He has already boght her a red saree, red his favourite colour and bridal colour, for her bday naa....

Am just waiting to see because the TRPs are causing hanges in execution and how the link up I feel. But next Fri will be a high point with regards to Arnav and Khushi. It would have been 3 weeks since the ME by then. Plus the 30 epis count from 21st June comes to an end. So time for phase 3 to begin..
UJ, I don't think Khushi was narrating Shyam's story. The niece she was referring to was that of the old woman and not of her son. If your theory is right then it would have to be Shyam's mother's niece and not Shyam's sister's daughter. It is too far fetched. Anj does not come across as someone who would torture her m-i-l, either physically or emotionally. That is more of Shyam's trait. Shyam does not want any reason for revenge. He is money greedy and lustful. He married Anj for money and lusted after Khushi. Since getting rid of Arnav can get him both (or at least that is what he thought), he hatched the plan to kidnap and exterminate him. His revenge will play out now because he is furious at both Arnav and Khushi, one for throwing him out and the other for 'betraying' him.

DeleteOpti i agree with Geeta, shyam can make it appear like that. If you see Arnav is generally a good person he has harassed khushi mostly emotionally along side of some bruises. Anji is extremely insecure and might wanted shyam to spend every waking moment with her, might have wanted to be the centre of syham's universe. Nothing wring for a wife to demand that but it can sometimes come across as smothering...

Anjali's age would be around 32 if she was 22 when her first marriage was fixed and broke ... but there is no other girl in that age group around. Shyam could have a sister that age.
Need some more clues ... put aside to ponder over :)

Personally I think it was just a story...we at R&R sometimes read too much into their "clues"...but hey maybe I'm wrong...
Moving onto the episode....Quick recount:
Things I didn't like:
1. Arnav's clothes, the excess gel, long hair and overgrown stubble...sensing a pattern here.
2. Khushi's fluorescent pink suit.
Things I really liked:
1. He didn't say 'zimmedari' he said 'maine rakhte hain'....When a girl gets married the boys family automatically becomes her family..she has to make them her family and it comes naturally because you're living with them but for guys it takes some time and I think every girl wants that...her husband to think of her mum and dad as his own people...so I really liked that he said that buaji and her house MEAN something to him,,,not just duty bound but rather attached by his own feelings...
2. knock knock knocking again....hehehe 5 times and counting...damn cute...
3. Anjali and Mami scene- excellent...CV's stick to this, develop her story don't just make DB immune to glycerin...looking forward to seeing Anjali sneaking off to meet VLR...
4. The kiss part was cute but I liked the part where he snatches the 'prescription' out of her hand and he's tightly holding her while she's trying to snatch it back....she's all single minded...and so is he...;-)
5. Khushi's narration was funny but Arnav's recount was hilarious...Arnav's sarcasm, Khushi's discomfort and buaji's genuine empathy was damn funny...
6. Loved the last scene with Arnav walking back and then 'Ehsaan' hang on!!...
step 1. grab wrists (for steering)

They can't spare new cloths for their most popular shows lead. This is the first show where leads get neglected so much. If a dress had pricked my eyes means it is few of the worst present in whole universe. Khushi's pink suit I will still give a pass ... that colour looks yummy on her skin.

Rekha, He understands her perfectly as of now. He used the ‘contract ‘ because he knew that is the only way to make her stay back. He understands that she is a self- sacrificing nut.
If you see yesterday, he is puzzled now. He thought he knew her well. But what is she up to now? The expressions when he recounts the sad tale to buaji and the part where he mentions the cruel pati: awwww…. He is hurt. He is puzzled. He might also be slightly disappointed and angry. I LOVED IT.

Khushi knows about parental love and sibling love. Marital love- she has not had the time to think about it. She has never thought about romance, when she dared to, he killed it. Indeed, “kya kiya Khushi tune mere saath?” She made him take a 180 degree turn in terms of his beliefs.

All through kidnap and chess, I was screaming for a light romantic track.
This is that light romantic track. And I love the way they have brought the story to this point. (If you remember I have every reason to crib, because I cried big time about “THE TIMING IS NOT RIGHT”- didn’t want Shyam’s revelation- but here I am loving every bit of the story, NOT BECAUSE I HAVE TO, BUT BECAUSE I SEE LOGIC HERE.)
And this light romantic track- don’t take this as an advice. Take it as a sincere plea.
Pleeeeeeease enjoy it, every moment of it, what lies ahead may be a lot of tears and heart break- Who knows?

I agree the beauty of IPK is "You are lucky if you have a vague idea as you are seeing it.";Its unpredictability despite various hints on where it is headed and the mere fact how unpredictable can a love story really get?
Remember we had several discussions on how Anji was shaping and I enjoyed every bit of that discussion and i said that I am happy with any version they put out if i can make adjustments to my thinking; i was the angriest, i think, on the Anji-Arnav scene and ranted that day but I also saw relevance the very next day in Dia's post on that scene and bought it.
The buy-in was complete for me becos where previously i saw no reason for Anji's apparent joy at Arnav's words, i could accept it when Dia's post gave a hint that Anji has mentally accepted Shyam's peccadilloes now and then. whether the CVs have intended that, I have no idea and Dia too said the same thing. But, it is fine for me as far as progression of plot goes and i agree waise bhi kaunsa 100% logic dekhthe hain hum kahin par bhi....
Coming back to my original post, it was about the pithy monologue of Khushi....i felt the CVs owed it to us to explain that in a better manner..I accept that i made a harsh comment about sacrifice to justify it..which i shouldn't have...becos i agree sacrifice is elemental to any tale of suffering, love
My only hope was/is for this tale of love to also prove that choosing to stay with a loved one for one's happiness is no act of selfishness. I champion Arnav choosing to fight for his love even after he knows that it might put him in a diffi situation....becos the easiest thing for him to do is to give up love....but i will also champion Khushi tomorrow if she decides that she has bring Arnav out of that "peetal ka barthan" at some point inthe future....
In quite the same light, i hope for Anji to have the forbearance when things go awry in her world....till it can be rebuilt again.
I know there will be tempests before all this happens, i am ready for it too...IPK has been a rough but exciting ride...i am in doubt abt that....and whenever i will be, u guys are going to straighten me out
Su, I will add one more to Khushi's list of sacrifices ... she kept quiet about Arnav's bargain with her about Payash wedding. She could have told Nani that she was forced on this condition ... Nani would have ensured that Payash marriage stayed strong, but she didn't. She trusted Arnav enough to put up with all his atrocities, hoping against hope that he had a good reason for doing it all.

Even now, he has not dared to bare his heart openly to Khushi, to tell her he wants her to stay back because he can't live without her.

I agree completely about Arnav.. he has changed himself for her and that's the biggest sacrifice he has made.. he has started becoming much more humane.. he has started living, breathing, acknowledging relations and realising that money is not everything..

I have this observation, especially in fictional hindi stories that when the character sketches are those of completely contrast individuals, one character evolves beautifully...and in comparison to that, there are hardly any changes in the other character over a period of time.. for example, khushi was jhalli, dil ki saaf, nautanki, full of life before meeting arnav...and she has remained that.. yes, she is upset occasionally, hurt deeply etc..but her overall essence has not changed much, the way Arnav's has..
and somewhere I feel bad because love actually brings about many positive changes in both the individuals and not just one.. although I think it is difficult to show in case of khushi..because dekhnewaale ko to yahi lagta hai na that khushi's character is complete whereas arnav's character had lots of flaws which got rectified as soon as khushi enters his life.. but technically, khushi's character has some flaws too.. they both should benefit from each other and not just arnav..
about khushi sacrificing her life for arnav, TBH I was not really satisfied with that angle of her character..so I'd skipped those parts...so about putting her life in danger when he was kidnapped..that wasn't something that she would have done exclusively for arnav.. tomo if her jiji/bauji/amma/buaji were in danger, she would have done the same, to save her.. infact, to save her bauji she got engaged to a guy she didn't even love.. yes I agree then arnav's rejection was a huge catalyst, but still..
and then ofcourse, when she got married to arnav, it was to save her di's marriage..
so I think sacrifice-wise, she has definitely not sacrificed enough for ARNAV.. even though it ended up being for him.. what I think is the most beautiful part is that inspite of the hatred that he has shown towards her, she could not stop loving him.. inspite of him breaking her heart countless times, she could not stop her heart from beating for him.. inspite of him breaking her trust 10 times, she couldn't stop trusting him the 11th time..and that must be giving her soo much pain..that she would just want her heart to stop loving him and hate him so that she could stop the pain..
which is why in the infamous 4th promo she says "kash main tumse nafrat kar pati"
I think Arnav's "kash main tumse mohabbat kar pata" is very obvious ... he wants to love her, but cannot...mainly because of the complication about 'didi ki saut'.. :)
mads, I can't agree that Khushi has not sacrificed anything for Arnav ... Her keeping quiet when he married her was a huge sacrifice ... just to keep his image intact in front of his own family.
DeleteAt that point Payash were already married, Nani and Anjali were in their favour, Khushi could have burst his bhanda by saying he forced her to marry him ... she didn't even tell her own parents and Buaji ... she sacrificed ALL her relationships for him, when she didn't even know the reason why. She had to then work her way back into her family's affaction, and that of his family, when she lost it all. She has shown Atoot Vishwas in him for far longer than he has in her.
dia..I think that sacrifice of keeping quiet was more for her jiji's marriage to stay intact then...than to keep arnav's image intact.. because she knew that arnav kept his word and that he might indeed break her jiji's marriage.. he could easily influence mami and akaash and break payal's marriage.. she kept quiet because of that..

Anjali is always white for me. As of now, I believe she will allow Shyam to mislead her only because Shyam will play her like a fiddle. If Shyam gives her proof of Khushi’s duplicity and K cannot prove her innocence, she will forgive and believe her husband. I hope white Anjali will atleast give K the chance to prove herself. I will accept her as black when I see her black.

Su, I accept that you still see Anjali as white, and you don't think she mistrusts Shyam at all ...

I find that very difficult to accept ... that she could accept Khushi so happily while still believing Shyam's story, or not having an iota of doubt on him. God forbid! :) But I liked her the way she was in office, smart yet naive, doing all the allotted tasks, yet unable to understand that Arnav was giving her the tasks to test her and make her fail ... her innocent joy when she managed to take his dictation, and her equally innocent confession that she taped his speech, that's how she managed ... that is Khushi for me.

Deletesorry girls, but IMO taking one's own life is not a sacrifice, but infact the easiest way out..AND definitely one of the most selfish ways out too..which is why I was actually put off by khushi in that phase..although I must admit, I was disconnected even before she attempted the actual suicide.. so correct me if I am wrong, but I think she stttempted suicide only because she thought that Arnav wanted to get back together with Lavanya.. and that reason didn't suffice enough for me..if it were something different I could have even tried to understand why she acted the way she did..

and if it was so that arnav could get another of his mentos moment of how khushi is important then they could have had a recreation of the rain hug, where khushi is walking down the road, thinking of the end of her relationship with arnav and how she is going to lead her life ahead and a car comes and is almost about to hit her when arnav saves her..
both the motives could have been achieved.. so yes, if that tops the list of sacrifices by khushi, then it doesn't come in my list at all, sorry.. :)
however, I am not saying Khushi hasn't sacrificed...she may have in some small ways...like I said, ever action from the moment she decided to do something when she realises he has been kidnapped have been her sacrifices..her lies to everybody in the family, getting closer with shyam .. and finally, fighting those goons, not caring about her life.. yes, that I would say sacrifice..
whereas arnav's sacrifice seems too blatant and loud in comparison, because to attempt to change himself for another human being...AND to let go of your beliefs about the world ... he didn't do that even for his sister, whom he claimed to be the centre of his universe then.. so to allow himself to do that under the influence of one person, is something I would say khushi's victory and arnav's sacrifice, in the real sense.. he needed that though, he has many flaws that need to be rectified and this is just the beginning..
in the end, we will get a transformation of ASR into Arnav... but as compared to that, khushi will hardly change.. :)
when I said that khushi hasn't made any sacrifices, I didn't mean to say it in a negative way, so sorry if you girls got me wrong.. :) I just believe that khushi's love comprises more of her strengths rather than her sacrifices.. in her start towards living the statement that arnav's mother uttered "ghussa seh sakna aur pyaar soot samet lautana".. :)

ASR's shatir dimag made a re-appearance for a nanosecond and he felt there was something funny about the way she has been acting!
He must have met up with the doctor after that.
All of us missed that nanosecond.
They don't clarify it but I'm assuming the doctor spills the beans...:-D...one more DM door...:-)

Deletedia..the last time we had comic tracks inserted ( read : 101 ways, dabba service, kids tution ) was I think during the IPL time (?) .. then they had a reason to stretch stuff until IPL got over ... and then midway barun got his movie, so they changed the track to kidnapping.. what possible reason might they have now?! :S
Deletenobody's going on vacation, from yesterday's epi shyam might have already started contacting anjali..I would expect him to make an entry by the end of next week..where does that leave ArHi?! Will the family ever come to know of their contract marriage?! both raizadas and the guptas? I hope she still stays at GH..I do not want her to go back at RM yet..
Sanaya sounded quite fed up in the SBS also ... Khushi pagal hai, she's driving Arnav crazy ... looks like she's not too happy with what's coming up, so I'm more apprehensive. Although the segment itself didn't look like OTT comedy, Khushi looked very serious, but again depends on what she's planning to do, and more importantly how long it will go on.
DeleteThe last time they did the 101 reasons, dabba service, kids tuition, it should have translated into sympathy for Khushi, forced into a hate marriage, but they made her so irritating that Arnav got all the sympathy ...
now with Arnav already on the premee pati trip, if she behaves stupidly, she has even less reason to act crazy ...and where we should get Arnav's repentance track, we might just get more crazy antics and his RTR wiped out.
That's where the cv's always go wrong ... they compromise Khushi's character to paint Arnav in a good light, not realising that by doing that, they're actually playing with the essence of BOTH the characters.
I am not happy seeing this at all ... feel cheated ... how can they avoid a mature conversation now and move down the OTT path AGAIN!!!!

DeleteCalling landline first and then mobile ... maybe Shyam just said to check who is at home, then since both bodyguards were sitting together downstairs, call Anjali on her mobile and ask her to come outside to speak to emissary to set up a meeting.
