23/7 - Epi 303 ... Exit Khushi Stage Left

Monday 23rd July

On one side, a reassurance ... from a brother to his sister. A sister whom he has always looked after, always been closest to ... a silent man, he never really told her in words what he felt for the girl he loved, although he always told her what he felt for her, his Di, the center of his world. Today he did that ... told an insecure, crumbling sister the truth ... or some of it ... that she was the center of his world and would always be ... that he had married Khushi for her sake, but fell in love with her after that ...
Either Arnav has selective amnesia, or he is purposely telling Anjali only part of the truth, the part he thinks she wants to hear ... giving her the reassurance he knows she needs.
"I married her for your sake ... I fell in love with her later ... she is the one without whom I cannot live, without whom meri saansein ruk jayengi .... but you are still my world, our relationship remains unchanged ..." Is this truly what Arnav thinks? Or is it what he thinks Anjali needs right now?
And was Anjali happy to hear that her brother had found love in his life? Or was she happier to hear that even with his new love, her own position in his life remained unchanged? The reassurance she was seeking, with her world crumbling around her shoulders. And he was happy to give her, because he truly felt that way. His love for his wife didn't affect his love for his sister ... why should it? Two different people, two different kinds of love.

On the other side, a reassurance ... from a wise old lady to a young girl, equally insecure about her position in her new home. A sasuraal where she appears to be living on sufferance, tolerated, but not welcome, the cause of the problems besetting the house. As she tries to tell Nani the truth again, that Arnav did not lie to his family, his sister ... and Nani utters the wisest words of the evening ... 'it doesn't matter, you are married, you need to spend time with each other ...' But Khushi has already seen the cracks between brother and sister, also the cracks between her own sister and her husband ... and she can't take any more.

Some of the cracks are healing though ... as Payal and Akash make up slowly, tentatively, and promise to make a fresh start. Though Akash still thinks Khushi is at fault.

And Arnav returns to his room, satisfied with himself ... he's taken care of his sister, she's happy, now Khushi will be happy too. He's told Di he loves Khushi, but he loves Di as before ... Di is happy, no need for Khushi to skulk in corners and hide ... he can show his love to his wife openly now.
Men are such simpletons at times!!! :))

Time for Khushi's googly ... Buaji is unwell, so she will go to GH to take care of her. Nani agrees, Arnav perturbed, he wants to come too.
Khushi packs her DM into her bag ... she's not planning to come back.
Arnav, Khushi and chanas ... Arnav proclaims his victory again, completely sure of himself now ... she accepted him as her husband. She's his wife, she loves him as much as he loves her ... even Di is happy now ... life is a bed of roses.
Bitwa, the thorns are just about coming up to bite you :)

Khushi apologises to Payal on her way out ... she's sorry she interfered between them. Anjali actually talks to her ... much to Khushi's surprise and Arnav's quiet satisfaction again ... he's solved that problem all right!
Khushi says goodbye to Nani, to Mami, to Akash ... all in the same sombre mood ... her last farewell, but nobody should know that ... least of all Arnav, because like she told Buaji last time ... 'agar hum unko batate toh voh humein jaane dete kya?'
NK tells Arnav to drop her ... Arnav irritated, he doesn't need to be told to drop his own wife, thanks! He's going to do it anyway!

And Arnav's tubelight finally lights up when they reach home, his own complete satisfaction with the situation blinding him to Khushi's mood till they actually reach GH ... when he belatedly realises something is not quite right ... why is she so quiet?! And again Khushi makes some excuse, and manages to leave without letting him come in ... and as he leaves, she looks after him, her grief in her eyes ...
The end of a chapter ... she managed to keep her mask on for long enough to fool him and make her exit ... but now it's all over. Her six month contract has ended, the drama of playing wife to Arnav to save his sister's marriage and hers, has ended ... she couldn't save Di's marriage but at least Shyam's truth is out for all ... Di is recovering ... Di and Arnav's relationship is no longer threatened because of her, Di needs Arnav now and she will have him all to herself ... Payal's marriage is safe ... Khushi has done all she could. Time for her to leave their lives, time for her to leave Arnav's life.
Exit Khushi Stage Left.

*Edit* I've said most of what I want to below ;) but to summarize ...

Anjali-Arnav ... Arnav gives Anjali the reassurance he thinks she needs. Anjali thinks things changed since his marriage, since he didn't answer her questions then ... He answers all her questions now ... He married Khushi only for her sake, for her and her child ... because he misunderstood Khushi and Shyam ... Anjali looks away at that, she doesn't want to hear more, so he skirts that issue ...
And he fell in love with Khushi after marriage, not before, the marriage was only for Anjali ...
And he reminds Anjali of her own words ... she wanted him to find a girl without whom he would feel hi heart stop ...
And Anjali is very happy ... because 'you remembered my words?' Also because he fell in love, because it was what she wanted for him ... he loves Khushi.
But Khushi's advent won't change their relationship ...  'don't ever say that or think that.'    And Anjali gives her first big smile ...
No, Anjali won't ... she's got her reassurance ... Arnav's love for her, his Di, will never change. She will remain the most important person in his life.
To Arnav's credit, he does mean what he says. Both loves can co-exist side by side. But then, he's not had to make any choices yet.

Khushi-Nani ... on the other hand, Nani reassures a worried Khushi ... Khushi tries to explain to Nani that Arnav was telling the truth, but Di got upset with Arnav, Di still gets upset seeing Khushi, and now Di has started misunderstanding Arnav too ... Di thinks this is all Khushi's fault, and maybe she is right ... every time Khushi tries to do something good, it misfires.
Nani tries to reassure her, Anjali liked her always, she wanted Arnav Khushi together ... it's not Khushi's fault, and neither is spending time with her husband wrong ... Khushi is slightly reassured that Anjali did like her once upon a time, and wanted her to be with Arnav.

Payash - papering the cracks ... Payal apologises for losing her cool on Akash, she felt like an outsider, not part of the family ... Akash accepts he did over-react, out of his own frustration and helplessness over his Di ... let's start over ... but don't repeat Khushi's mistake again. Payal tries to explain it wasn't Khushi's mistake ... but he doesn't want to listen.
No, the cracks have just been papered over ... not repaired or filled.

ArHi ... as they have with Arhi ... Arnav at peace with himself, and satisfied ... everything will be all right, he finally told Anjali the truth, she understands now, he also told her he loves Khushi, and Di understands that too, and is happy for him ... now everything will be all right. On to more important things ... Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, you accepted me as your husband, when you came into my arms ... you are my wife now ...
And how much easier it is to tell her his dil ki baatein when she's sleeping :"> :)  to caress her, hold her hand, gaze at her face to his heart's content till he falls asleep ... he loves her, he has finally accepted it, she has too ... his heart is at peace finally. Life is perfect, their life together is just starting out and it will be perfect now.

Little does he know!

Nani overhears Khushi on the phone ... Buaji is unwell, Khushi will go there. Nani is needed by Di.
Arnav returns after his jog, and sees Khushi's worried face. 'What happened?'

ArHi ... Khushi packs her DM, and her clothes ... Arnav adds his shirts :"> ... he's coming with her.
The guy is a gone case ... he can't let her out of his sight now :)
Khushi refuses .. no, he needs to stay and look after Di ...
But Di is okay ... why did Arnav stop, and not say more? Did he realise Di would be upset if he went? Or did he see that Khushi was still upset about last night's encounter with Di too?
So first he tries to soothe her ... win a smile ... he got her channas :)
And he's finally done something right ... Khushi smiles, she's actually, genuinely happy :) And starts chomping them immediately, his crazy jhalli Khushi ... happy with the smallest things ...

And as she drops them, and drops to her knees to pick them up, he goes with her ... back to the main issue between them ... 'Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada' ... not missing a single occasion to say the full name, including the all-important Singh Raizada at the end :) ... 'you didn't need to go down on your knees to accept me as your husband ...'
Reminds me of the kiss challenge ... the only thing on Mr ASR's mind was whether she would take up that challenge or not ... and the only thing on his mind now is that she's lost the challenge and is now his legally wedded wife, and she has accepted it ...
Arnav Bitwa feeling Hot Hot Hot and wanting to do LOT, LOT LOT ... :))

But Khushi is even more upset ... yes, she loves him, she has mentally accepted him as her husband, not just now, but a long time ago ... but has he really accepted her as his wife? In the true sense of the word ... with him always for better or for worse, in good times and bad? Or will history keep repeating itself ... every time he gets angry, loses his temper, will he tell her to Get Out ... then feel sorry and woo her again ... rinse, lather, repeat?
No, she's been hurt one too many times ... Khushi has finally reached the end point of her forgive and forget road, the limit of her tolerance and her ability to bounce back ... she can't do it any more. This time she is not going to melt and give in as always ...

(SN ... Dia rubbing hands and getting ready for Arnav's RTR ... finally?! Or another false start?)

Khushi-Payal ... as Khushi confided to Nani, every time she tried to do good, she worsened matters ... no more. So 'sorry' to Payal for interfering between her and Akash ... Payal does understand and is not angry ... to Khushi's relief.
And Anjali says Khushi's name ... bravely, and Arnav looks up ... aah, his words to Di had the desired effect, she's not angry with Khushi any more, because she loves him too much, and is happy for him, she's making the attempt to mend ties with Khushi.

Khushi is overwhelmed ... Anjali is talking to her again ... she's even concerned about her enough to tell her to eat before leaving ... although she leaves when Khushi takes a step forward ...
And Arnav is very satisfied now ... he knew Khushi was very upset about Di being angry with her ... another achievement, Khushi is happy that Di took a step forward ... All sorted out now :)
And Anjali has made her point subtly ... she is still the gracious lady of the house ... her position unchanged, the Queen Bee. 'Do eat before you leave.'

Nani, gracious as ever, gives Khushi laddoos to carry, and Khushi bids her farewell - 'I will remember all of you a lot'.
Mami, ungracious as ever, tells her to take her time ... Khushi says farewell to mami and Akash ... he will still be her Jijaji, so 'hum aate hain ...'
NK, bindaas as ever, tells Arnav to drop Khushi, irritated Arnav doesn't need to be told what to do with his wife, he was going to do that anyway ... :) and he doesn't give her an option.

ArHi ... the penny dropping slowly, why is she so quiet? So worried? Is it Buaji? She'll be fine.
And Khushi continues to stare at him sadly, as though taking in his face for the last time, to hold her through for the rest of her life ...
and he's still confused, what is wrong?
A cute attempt to sing her own song back to her ... What the, what the what the ... even that doesn't work ... in fact, she 's almost on the verge of tears ... Ok, I won't sing but what is the matter?!
And Khushi tries to hide her feelings ... 'Buaji' ... she's worried about buaji ...
And he's breaking her heart even more, by being gentle, understanding, helpful, everything she always dreamed of ... he'll carry her bag, meet Buaji ... she has to put him off, send him away ... 'no ... that will strain Buaji ...'
He understands that too ... accepts it. 'Take care ...' And as she leaves, he knows something is wrong somewhere, something is niggling at him ... she's more upset than she should be ...
'Khushi ... tum ...'
She stops and bids him farewell ... 'Chalte hain.' Not 'aate hain.' She won't be returning to his life. Their contract is over. She is not his wife any more. The reason he married her was to save his sister's marriage, that marriage broke, that reason doesn't exist any more. The reason she married him was to save her sister's marriage, that reason doesn't exist any more either, she does more harm than good now.
End of Act I, Contract Marriage. Exit Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, stage Left.

Precap - Start of Act II ... Arnav's RTRW, Wooing Khushi Kumari Gupta. As is usual, start with a fight.

  3. Hehehe I think Arnav likes it at GH more than at RM... Not tht I blame him:-)

Didn't like that he told his beloved Di.... Didn't like that she wasn't appalled and cross ... Hmm

Did like how happy she was for him- caveted of course- happy once he said no one can change our equation...

As always nani the voice of reason and firmly on khushi's side:-)

Liked that Payash finally made up... Only because their fights like their romance is really dull... Lol

Channa ve was cute... Liked his tracks:-) none of the other attire though:-@ grrr

Liked the Anji Khushi interaction ... Baby steps...

Arnav was very sweet after the first 4 minutes where he disclosed a very personal thing about his wife and marriage to his sister- still don't get how that helped all he had to say was you're as important to me as ever and that I'm in love - that would have been enough.

Noted Arnav's expression at mami's usual crap lets see of he does anything bout it...

So Bua's bp is a ploy to run off home... Hmm lying to full family to escape- don't blame you in the least!! RM is depressing and GH is fun and lively...

As always loved NK... He makes every scene he's in cute:-D

    2. Aaru, I think Shyam will just get another chance from Anji... a chance to redeem himself....just for the baby and thats the only way Nani and ASR will allow him in....

and in the attempt to destroy the raizada's from within, he will again go back to square one and that way spill the beans, completely

  4. wats going on......total googly thrown by cv's.....m stumped......

ASR told Anji he married Khushi cause of her...he dint love Khushi at all at the time of marriage......and also that he thought Khushi was having an affair with Shyam......but fell in love with her later....
And Anji smiled when she heard that he has fallen in love.....she totally ignored the Khushi-Shyam affair part and her chotte's marriage cause of that......

And Nani told Khushi that she is not the reason...still she lied and left for GH....atleast her lie is a small one, nothing major....i thought she wud use that hum Arnavji ke liye aur bhi gir sakte hai dialogue of hers....

whats going on in her mind....is the contract part totally at play now..... or is it something beyond that.....
Anji's interaction with her seemed doubt raising.....seems like there is something more to it........

Also did she receive another call from Shyam, threatening to kill ASR unless she leaves him...(seems very predictable, hope the ph doesnt use this reason)

    2. hmmm....that promo is still playing naa....but why in GH, just cause Sanaya is on (rumoured) leave...or more reasons to it.....

read some spoilers on redux thread, are we allowed to spill the beans here, Dia....

    3. Sanaya's leave ... I don't know what has been said ... but it seems to me if Sanaya did take leave, it was Thursday - Sunday ... she finished shooting her Thurs/Fri scenes on Wednesday and left. She had a chunk of solo scenes on Thurs - the last five minutes was solo, and a little bit on Friday, then the hug, and nothing.

So she's back now ... today was all Sanaya after the first AA scene, and she looked totally fresh and charged, her expressions were back to their usual excellence.

    4. Geetanjali, khushi has accepted Arnav as her hubby. Her teo FBs during chana vey thing are 1of the challenge arnav sets and 2 of running into his arms. Khushi never fails her word and hence she has accepted Arnav as her hubby.
But when she speaks to nani she clearly voices her concern that Di is sad seeing khushi. That Di is misunderstanding Arnav coz of khushi. Although nani told her it's not her fault in her heart she convinced it is her fault.
As she has accepted A as her hubby her resolve to move out of Di and A equation strengthens and she lies to leave. She is also unaware of the convo A has had with Anji which doesn't help but i'm glad she is unaware of it. If A had told K of his convo with Di them A would have stressed that di is happy about them and khushi should not leave. The state Anji is in she will play manipulation with Arnav very soon.
I think K will use contract as the reason in front Arnav to her advantage to tell him she ain't coming back and he can't do anything about it....
Note that the chanas Arnav brought for her - she spills a handful and packs the rest as in she has spilled a few beans and packed the rest with her to take it (secrets, hidden truth) to GH with her.

    5. UJ, thanks for explaining it in detail, one more fact i noticed on rewatch was that When Nani stressed to Khushi that they are entitled to spent time with each other as married couples do.....so maybe Khushi also thought that as long as she is around, Arnav wont give Anji the quality time...so till that convo with Nani, she was in two minds bt leaving, but after that convo, she made her decision....

  6. My sense is that Anji will be like this in front of Arnav & family;
She will be cold to her at otehr times......

Otherwise, i see no reason for this volte-face...Now after she has heard that Arnav has lost his heart to Khushi, it can only strengthen her resolve to MU K further.

If she has indeed changed...how did the change occur in the span of that conversation
I saw it online with a poor quality video and breaks but i what i could make out was Anji's belief strengthening that Arnav has lost his heart to this woman; the very woman who has also flirted with her hubby...she thinks it is not the time to counsel Arnav to think differently
I would say, she can have that steely resolve to keep her flock together esp when Arnav says no one can come between them inspite of this relationship.

For the record, i am not MUing her character....i think it is all coming together for her, she is going to fight for whats hers' before K came to destroy it all.

Okay, she may be doing this based on her understanding of the situation and not out of any greyness/blackness, i may add

What did Arnav mean by, saying i did not love her when i married her....it was a sin of ommission in a way..., a white lie or should i say not the complete truth....

    ReplyDelete

    1. well me did like the dialogue either I din't love her when I married her. Then if you retrack the turn of event .....he did marry her out of hate ....because Di was pregnant and he could not throw shyaam out even after what saw and heard from shyaam himself, for his Di only.

His feelings were not the prime object. It was subconscious but took a major stage after he could hate her despite what she has done to her. Of course Holi changed things completely.

      Delete
    2. hmm....this makes more sense....but her smile when arnav said tat khushi is the girl ....

Arnav's omission of misunderstanding khushi and the white lie will create more complications ahead...and now that khushi has lied about buaji's health, though it may seem petty atm, mite bundle up into something big later......

that moment, Arnav's trust and understanding of Khushi will be tested big time....

    5. Exactly! Pyaar Nahi karta tha matlab? He was going to confess his love to Khushi that night based on Dis advice Ki diil Ki baat Bol deni chahiye......
Why is he lying? Did he feel that would make Di feel better and get her to snap out of her gloom which explains his self congratulatory smile when Khushi smiles after Di talks to her. Also, he tells Di he loves Khushi in her terms..apne kaha tha Na Di Ki aisi LAdki aegi Meri zindagi me......basically usme Bhi USKo credit de Raha hai that SHE was right! All this to make her feel special?
Did Khushi seriously think she cud pull this off? I mean if she feels the contract is over and she is no longer his wife and came back to GH...don't the family members deserve the right to know she is not coming back ? That was her farewell? And after a few days wouldn't someone come to check on Buaji and then take her back? Or does she know she would never need to face that situation as her heart knows that this time her arnavji won't let her go..he'll come to take her back..he will fight for her...I think so. I really do...and by teen she will accept the inevitability of that.

They are actually paving the way for guilt free wooing and romance for Arnav and Khushi till teen by temporarily solving Anjli and Payal problems. As soon as Khushi says yes to being his wife forever and they have had their rain dance or hug....problems will start emerging again.shyam will renter their lives. But this time he won't face them separately but as a couple....no mu between them but the confidence of having the others love.this time they will fight to finish this forever...it would be time to finish this Ramayana by slaying Ravan and returning to their rightful place in Ayodhya as in RM.

    6. Rekhs

From what i can understand is Anji is playing shyam... she will play as good in front of everyone but will be cold otherwise. its like creating circumstances where no one will believe if she says something against anji, esply bitwa.. its a way to create MU like payalash in bubbly track.
why did arnav say that he didn't love when he married her.. he meant that particular moment. he said he married for her and the baby because he knew shyam's truth. so as per se he did not lie. and its true that he really loved K after marriage unknowingly, he never thought he would and its true. he really loved her, understood the true meaning of saas rookh jayegi when he almost lost her...So for me Arnav did not lie..yes the dailouges could be more crips...

Now i like geetu idea that K might have heard the half convo like arnav and MU... I can always take this to anji asking K to move out or VRL giving dhamki.....

    7. Aaru,

Are u saying she is going to behave differently with Shyam, lead him on as it were......wants to have her revenge with Shyam...which i think she is perfectly entitled to as he is her cultrit first and foremost....but then what was the Anji-drama for the last 4 days.....just her "get back to reality" moment
ya woh sach tha ya aaj sach hain....dono scenarios mutually exclusive lagthe hain yaar..kuch pata nahin.....i wish i could go into a bubble like anji has gone into.....must be one enlightening bubble....provided in one convo...

  8. I also wanted to add DB needs to move beyond her stock expressions that she is delivering today....or the writing/directing was way off in the Anj-Ar scene; this track is a huge challenge, she is falling way short of expectations...

If the sudden shift, as perceived by many, a correction by Cvs to clarify the anji character, they seem to make it more complicated now

  9. Ok.....light bulb moment gals.....

Khushi heard Arnav telling Anjali that he didnt love Khushi, he married her only for Di... though she knew that at the back of her mind, but hearing it again, broke her heart....and she decides to free Arnav of this bond....

and as for why she dint hear that now she has become his life....cause she dint wait to hear the whole thing.....just like Arnav dint wait during the terrace-hug scene.....

But yeah i liked how they're showing forward movement... Hopefully we'll get some GH action now... Hope khushi's reaction was to the fact that she gave in so quickly and that she still thinks he means it only for 2 more months...Meanwhile Shyaam can make moves while Arnav runs RTR romancing his wife...

  11. I wasn't too surprised by Anj's behaviour today. I am glad that Arnav laid the facts surrounding his marriage on the table. It wasn't fair to judge her reaction earlier without letting her know all the facts. Although I would have preferred if he had also disclosed what he heard and saw Shyam do on the terrace, I think Arnav may have wanted to spare her the gory details and CVs may have kept a door open to drive some MU between Anj and Khushi later. As of now she seems happy that Arnav found his love just as she predicted he would. I don't think she is selfish and wants to corner all of Arnav's attention. At least her character sketch so far has never shown her in that light. If there is one person who always meant well for Arnav and Khushi it was Anj. She used to be so tuned in to Khushi's pain, even before Arnav could sense it. That is why I wasn't too happy with the track in which they were trying to progressively turn her grey. She may be emotionally fragile but she is and will never be grey in the true sense. I doubt she will put her own happiness ahead of her chottey's. Her behaviour may be influenced by certain events but then like Arnav it is because she does not have all the facts. Hope the CVs don't prove me wrong.

If she is all ready to accept the colossal event in her life, this easily, now seems silly for khushi to have held this all back(i know that is hindsight tho!) and now the only task Arnav has at hand is to convince Khushi...is tat what we are headed for?

    3. Rekha, one needs to look beyond what was shown in today's episode. She learnt that he married Khushi because he cared for her and thought Khushi was having an affair with Shyam. She knew that he was in love with Khushi before marriage. So when he said at the time of marriage he hated her, obviously something must have happened for that love to turn into hate. She accepted that Arnav has fallen in love with Khushi and is genuinely happy for him. At the moment that is enough for her. She does not want to dwell too much on what sort of a person Khushi really is for she bears her no ill will. Has it sunk in that by being happy for Arnav she seems to have reconciled to the fact that his judgment on Shyam, but has she? Yes, for the moment. This woman can process only one piece of information at a time. Hell, Arnav with all his brains couldn't figure out Khushi's innocence all these months. Anj has an edge over Arnav in so far as she thinks with her heart rather than her head. So as of now, she does not think Khushi is really a manipulator. That makes Shyam the culprit but as I said she only processes one information at a time. Now Khushi repeatedly lying can do her in. Khushi had earlier lied to her about the donation of Rs. 2 lakhs. Today she lied that Buaji was ill. These little things may come back to bite Khushi later when on a weak mind Shyam will replay his tricks. As I said Anj will be influenced by the circumstances because she does not have all the facts. Even then she will not demand her happiness over Arnav's. If she comes between Arshi it may be because she genuinely thinks that Khushi does not love Arnav but is playing with his feelings. She is still not aware of the six-month bond and how much Arnav had hurt Khushi during their marriage because of his MU. So when Khushi plays hard to get, she may have the misconception that she is not really in love with him. Shyam will only sow more seeds of doubt in an already fragile mind.

    4. Opti, i don't have an issue with what will happen in future....going by the what has happened today....it will be exactly what u said and what i indicated. we only differ on Anji's motives as per CV characterisation

My issue is with the Anji-arnav scene today...it lacked the depth which a conversation of that nature required....

what was Anji's concern today? what is her role in her brother's life?
Is that the only issue that she is grappling with, are all other issues resolved.. if we are saying yes to that, this scene makes perfect sense...thats my point....

to me it seemed a poorly conceived scene...that is uni-dimensional...sought to achieve something for a future track, without paying attention to character traits...thats all

      Delete
    5. Rekha, I felt Anj was totally in character because my understanding of her character is that she loves her brother and will not put her demands over his. All along that is how she was portrayed. People saw what they wanted to see. As I said she can only process one set of information at a time. She has always been shown to be extra sensitive and caring person. Yes, she was clingy but that was because of her insecurities (from her past) but she was never shown really selfish. She manipulated Khushi into coming back to RM but that was for her bro's sake. She was upset that her bro had a clandestine wedding, a wedding she so wanted to be a part of but when she was told that he will leave with Khushi, she accepted the marriage, even before Nani did and did all the rituals. She never grudged Khushi her happiness and always played cupid between Arshi. Yes, as I said her acceptance of Arnav's love for Khushi also implies she has accepted Shyam's guilt but she is not thinking that far and correlating the two. If she had been so bright, don't you think she would have correlated all the past instances involving Khushi and her mysterious ex-PG cum ex-fiance by now. They had made Arnav uni-dimentional in the earlier MU track when he seemed to have conveniently forgot all the past clues which were staring at his face. Now they have made Anj uni-dimentional for the same reason. I somehow cannot digest a grey or selfish Anj. She may be lost in her world, a little insane but she is not a bad or mean person. At least that is my perception of her character.

    6. Opti,
My reading of Anjali's character is based on Gul's remark that Anjali is the more damaged of the two siblings, as well as my own reading of her insecurities. Made a long post yesterday on Anjali, where I did mention that she has subconsciously accepted that Shyam married her for money, not love, she was always insecure about that, and it was actually not difficult for her to believe it. It was always one of her biggest fears, hence her cloying behaviour with Shyam all the time, and her repeated 'You're so wonderful and I'm so lucky to have you' act with him.

She has lost Shyam which was always a fear in her mind. She needs to now hold on to her position in Arnav's life. She is an insecure weak woman, call it selfish, call it self-centred, call it just her nature, but her insecurities are not without reason, and she needs reassurance all the time. Today Arnav gave her that.

As for loving her brother and not putting her demands over his ... remember the RB scene last year when Arnav says he will sacrifice his own happiness for his sister, and Mami chimes in too. At that point itself, I felt strange - why is she so happy with that statement?

A normal older sister would immediately respond with ... 'you will never need to, your happiness is more important to me,' or 'No, I will not let you, I will sacrifice MY happiness for you.' or something along those lines.

An insecure person will take this as proof of love ... moreover, a proof that is NEEDED.

Don't call her grey, or selfish ... see her as a very insecure person, and a lot of her actions make sense.

      Delete
    7. U r essentially saying....it is her insecurity that is coming across....so even in the future, any event that puts her in that situation will become a flashpoint..

I gave her action some planning, u r saying it is not planning, merely her need to hear that she holds a unique position after everythng around her has collapsed....liked this view....

      Delete
    8. Yep, Rekha, not planned or deliberately grey ... but very insecure. And right now she has reason to be ... I will wait and see how grey the cv's will make her, but I doubt they will go completely grey with Anjali. Just enough to feed her insecurities enough to allow Shyam to worm his way back into her life.

  12. WTF?! what exactly was the point of anjali-arnav scene? And anjali has some selective hearing disorder or what??! did she completely disregard arnav's statement of how he thought khushi-shyam were having an affair and thats why he married khushi?! that should have been THE stopping moment of the scene..I was half expecting a "thud" there.. and anjali's shocked expression (for whatever that is worth).. but noo, instead we get a giggling anjali, visibly thrilled abt the fact that her chotey absolutely hated khushi when he married her and then started loving her ... and that makes me hate anjali's character even more.. so CVs, if this was your lame attempt to raise anjali/DB above the pedestal, then you have sooo miserably failed!!

    1. The fact that she was ok as soon as arnav reiterated that she was the most imp part of his life (I was grrrr at that point, I WANTED him to say that khushi is as imp as she is.. negative marks for this, bitwa! :X) .. it was as if that was THE reason fr which she had staged all the pathetic nautanki of hers.

    2. She is thrilled abt the fact that her chotey did not marry khushi out of love, but infact started loving her after marriage.. now I am slightly doubtful whether it IS indeed that way, but it played out that way for me.. again, reitering the fact that she was the singe most imp person in his life even when he married.

    3. That khushi cannot change anything between them..and she is actually thrilled at this point, as though the reason she is in depression is because of insecurity abt arnav and khushi's relationship and not because of any other reason.

    4. Even when arnav told her that he loved khushi, it was all about how SHE made him see the truth..hence, she still holds that importance in his life.

hmm.. only onw word comes to my mind - PATHETIC! No, CVs.. if this was your attempt at painting anjali white, then no.. you have infact painted her even more psychologically ill..soo insecure about her brother that she is actually now visibly excited abt the mere fact that her borther fell in love with khushi BECAUSE of her and not of his own accord! and what was the whole point of arnav telling anjali he knew all along abt shyam-khushi?? Shouldn't anjali react to that AT ALL?!

Payaash.. cute and to the point..was slightly irked that payal was the one who said sorry, but then akaash said that he thought abt what she said, so her outburst didn;t go completely in vain.. and ofcourse akaash is a Raizada male, too big an ego to say a simple sorry..he should learn a lesson or two from arnav on how to say sorry before its too late.. because he shouldn't forget that he is with a gupta woman too!

HOW adorable was Arnav talking to khushi??!! AWWW..felt like pulling his cheeks..he looked like a teenager niharofing his GF in her sleep.. :)) I wanted a slight follow up of the sleep scene as to whether khushi gets up first and sees arnav holding her hand.. :( channa ve was adorable again.. :)) and khushi lying to get out of RM.. completely understandable..I could feel her pain when she thanked him for the channas.. when arnav was being mean to her, it was easy fr her to go and stay with buaji.. but now, when he is soo sweet and caring and moreover, giving her assurance with every passing day, that the relationship is for the keeps.. how can she convince herself to stay away from him?? moreover, no reason she tells him seems justified enough now for her to leave the house..

Anjali talking to K.. errrmm..what??! Ok, I get it..now that you are assured that arnav never really loved that woman when he married her and that you are still the top most priority in his life, you are all ok with her.. is it?? pathetic woman!!

    1. contd..

So she still thinks that shyam is pati parmeshwar who has been heavily misunderstood by everybody in the family, but more important was her worry that, forget misunderstanding my hubby, my brother is getting away from me.. now that she knows he is not, she can skillfully get back the pati parmeshwar by some emotional blackmailing and sweet talking with his wife..

      Again - PATHETIC!

Last scene was ultra adorable again!! :)) and bitwa is making me proud with every passing day.. the way he attempted to bring a smile on her face as he realised immediately something was wrong (plus points for that, bitwa!!) .. and then tells her to take care.. aww!! :)) m a sucker for heroes who tell their women to take care.. :P eapecially those guys that don't really talk much/socialise much.. those two words from them are sooo adorable.. as if, they don't give a damn abt anything otherwise, but the girl should be safe, that's all that matters to them!! :)) and khushi again turning back and realising how difficult he has made all this for her.. :(( but strong enough not to cave in.. you go, girl!! :))

and did anybody notice - she says to arnav "chalte hai.." usually, when people go they say "aate hai" to signify that they'll be gone just for a shorter period..her "chalte hai" indicated that she will be going for long..don't know if arnav realised it though! Also, need to re-watch the epi, but did she say "chalte hai" to nani or "aate hai" ?? :S

She loves and respects Nani, even adores her ... can't lie to her completely, wants to say her farewell ... she told her 'aap humein bohot yaad aayenge'.

She says her last goodbye to Arnav as his contract wife ... 'chalte hain'. Now she is no longer his wife.

My issue is not with Anji being painted anyways...let her be painted white/black/grey or any other colour.....but let her behaviour be consistent with however she is being painted....

Her life had revolved around her husband and when that life is now asunder, she only has concerns about whether her chotte's life is on track...that is strange, well, if she has bounced back so beautifully, i have only the choices of words for Khushi in keeping this from her for so long....

  15. WT WT WT WT!!!! why do i get a feeling that it wasn't anjali in the scene but only DB... it was like DB coudn't handle being portrayed the way anji's character was shaping... she did a complete anji( read loads of tears, sulking, face cupping etc) on the PH and today they showed just DB( anything to get away from the face cupping part)....

on one hand the whole arshi scenes are taking the show to a completely different level (kudos to BS and SI) and on the other hand DB is playing the dampener... for the first time i felt payash were better than anji-arnav...

apart from that i LOVED the epi, just for ARSHI.... is SI really on leave??? why couldn't B manage such scenes during his leave of absence???

the way A says, its so easy to talk to you when you are asleep.. *HAYEEEE*

the hand holding scene... the channe vala scene... also the immediate response of asr to pack his clothes and leave for GH... he even has a green signal from Di this time... the guy realy hates RM....

i was expecting an eventful car ride... a tad bit disappointed on that note... but the last scene was beyond words... arnav singing mausam ka suhana *cute*.... his anxiety at having to let her go.... all of this making it that much more difficult for khushi to let him go too....

what exactly is he reason now???

till now wot khushi has seen:
      -arnav-anji rift.
-family walking in on them. She cleared her stand wid nani coz no1 else will listen. Nani re-assured but khushi not sure as she anji distancing herself from arnavand not believing him.
-she doesnt knw d convo between arnav-anji
-still thinks anji is upset wid her. morning convo was a surprise for her
-she thinks arnav doesnt know how deep the issue is
-loves arnav but he's nt lettin her go 2 fix anji.
-she thinks arnav needs 2 fix anji b4 he can b happy wid her.

      any points missed ??

    2. Geetu, you've got all the correct points ... just add one more ...
When Anjali speaks to Khushi, Khushi is surprised and very happy, she takes a step forward, and Anjali immediately steps back. So Khushi knows nothing has really changed.

    3. hmm Dia...missed that point...so even when Arnav tells her later that Di has accepted her, she will know that its a facade...and now she can't even tell Arnav as he won't want hear anything against Di....tough spot for her....

  16. So - what was the outcome of the Arnav Anji scene - that she is reassured of her place in ODB's life - and she does not react to why he married KKG - does not even question further?????

I know you all think the CVs dumb down KKg at times but i firmly feel ODB's character is always slaughtered - today too, he was not spared - "i did not love her when i married her" - WHAT Rubbish - then what was he going upstairs to tell her - then why did he marry her and not banish her?????

CV when you copy our shiddats please do it properly - we said OSB should tell his Di why he married KKG but we did not say 'undermine his feelings for her!!!:(

And please someone tell me why is ODG leaving - if coz of last night - cant she see her husband is so relaxed - after days - there has to be a reason - ask him!!!! (our shiddat - communicate please!)
+ ANji is turning nice again and nani said she always liked you to the point of planning your wedding - so why leave now??? - just for some GH romance?

rest was sweet - ODB looked so cute and you could almost feel that burdens had been lifted off his shoulder - 'i was going to drop KHushi...' 'OK i wont sing..' 'its so easy to talk to you when you are asleep' aaaawwww

    1. Thanks, Sahana! Read UJ's post below ... she has summed it up well where they will go from here. So has Opti.

I read on the SG Hangout a spoiler of sorts that the CV's are working their way back to an intense RTR track ... I read that after I drew my own conclusions on this episode, and it seems to be going exactly that way. Everything is going right for Khushi ... Di seems to be bending, Payash are stabilising, Arnav is crazily in love with her ... so if she accepts it all, then Arnav has had it just so easy ... where is his guilt, his repentance for ruining her life and putting her through everything he did? He has to get a jhatka, and by ending the contract at this time they're going that route.

Even if they say the contract time period isn't completely ended, it doesn't matter - the terms were Di's marriage for Jiji's ... he couldn't save one, she's harming the other by staying, and helping more by walking out ...

  22. Girls, am laughing at all your comments ... sorrieee :)))

Watch again carefully ... the acting in the AA scene was not too good, not even Barun's, unfortunately, so listen to the dialogues ...
Anjali accuses Arnav of changing since his marriage, of not answering her questions, of lying to her to be with his wife.
So Arnav actually does what I thought he should do ... makes it clear he loves Khushi all right, but at the same time, takes pains to reassure Di she is still the center of his world.

And why shouldn't he? He still loves his Di, nothing has changed for him on that front ... nothing that he can see ... men are not too good with emotions, and Arnav less than most :) Simplistic attitude - I love you, you're my sister, I love Khushi, she's my wife, you yourself told me to find love, aren't you happy that I have ... you're still the most important person for me ...

I think he knows Anjali is insecure ... he should know, he has dealt with her all his life, he has kept her wrapped in cotton wool himself, so he continues to do the same ... his marriage was all for Di - note, not much mention of Shyam, and he essentially told Di exactly what he told Nani, that he MU'ed Khushi role with Shyam ... so he's told her the truth, or a version of it, he's made it all about her, and yet got across that he now loves Khushi, and Di should be happy with that, isn't she? Because she's still so important for him ...

SO Di is happy ... happy that her Chotey found love, happier still that he remembered HER words about love ... 'you remember, Chotey?' ... and happiest when he says she's still so important for him, Khushi's advent is not going to change that.

Arnav also happy ... mission accomplished, Di taken care of, he can be as romantic as he wants now ... and he tells a sleeping Khushi that too ... I told Di, Di is fine ... okay, no more talking about Di, I'm your husband now, let's get to more important things :)))

So Anjali has to show Arnav that she is truly happy for him ... she is his loving Di after all ... hence the talk with Khushi ... Arnav hears her ... see, Di is fine with you now, Khushi, all sorted out, all izz well, if I want to kiss you in the kitchen also now, no one will object :)))
But he doesn't notice that Di backs off just as Khushi starts forward towards her ...

So keep a watch on Di ...

but am happy, we can start discussing again....Dia...

U are saying that Arnav said what he had to becos thats how she understands it best in this fashion....that is not the confusing part...
The part that required sharp acting unless the every intention was to put Arnav in a state of lull....was the anji response to Arnav's declaration of love...if it was the latter, i would say DB hit bull's eye to calm arnav down....

I only can't accept that Anji has recovered....yes, she may now know, according to her, what the problem is and so she acted like that...

Sorry for saying this ad-nauseum..i guess u or someone will tell me to shut up soon....

      1. "SO Di is happy ... happy that her Chotey found love, happier still that he remembered HER words about love ... 'you remember, Chotey?' ... and happiest when he says she's still so important for him, Khushi's advent is not going to change that.":

Isn't that the truth? Whether or not he has to choose between his wife and his sister, his love for his sister will remain in the same intensity as always. Does it matter to di that he loves Khushi more?

      2. "So Anjali has to show Arnav that she is truly happy for him ... she is his loving Di after all ... hence the talk with Khushi":

Dia, I beg to differ here. You are really in danger of painting Anjali black here. This is not insecurity, this is deviousness you are implying. No matter what Anjali does or says, there can be different interpretations. That is the point I tried to make by ASR showing love by laying his head on her lap and that not seen as incest.

I feel:Here, Anjali is happy for Chhote. But she does not fully trust Khushi yet. She has also seen her feeding Shyam Kheer and the sudden surprise and guilt that she showed when Anjali walked in. And NO ONE has given her proof of his infidelity or kidnap plans. People said, but where is the proof? And my hubby implied that K is a dangerous character. If she was the nice person I thought her to be, WHY did she keep the truth from ME? And why was he accused in front of the whole house, this could've been settled in PRIVATE!
(Who is even talking about kidnap? Not even mami who knew for sure ASR was kidnapped! You can't blame Anji for overloooking that right now. Sorry, infidelity is a bigger crime to me than some half baked theory of my husband being a kidnapper!)

      3. "But he doesn't notice that Di backs off just as Khushi starts forward towards her": He DID! I saw this. Can you tell me if you can see it?
There is a slight twitch of surprise that lasts a second there.Right before Khushi interrupts his thot by talking to Payal. Thats why I said it may not have fully registered in his mind.I felt this was done beautifully by the director.

Dia, I really hope I am not appearing rude to you. I am trying to show you something because we all love this story.
The story seems pretty straightforward to me now.
Really really sorry if I appear to be crossing the line here.

    6. Arnav- Anjali: I did not find anything amiss in the acting. In fact, I felt Barun was good and DB quite OK. I am the only one who says here that Anji is not grey. She is white, under a grey veil. Is that why the story is smooth for me.
Try to watch it in blind faith that Anjali is not selfish when it comes to her brother.
What do you think Shyam is coming back for?
***WHAT IF he can prove beyond doubt that Khushi is a gold digger and she tried to trap him initially and then ASR?**

Don't you think he is smart enough to do that?
Look away from Arhi for a moment and concentrate on Shyam.
He planned that kidnap and succeeded- the only plan that has seen him win.
      Can't he repeat that success?

      Delete
    7. Su, You said, Anjali is happy for Chotey. But she does not trust Khushi fully yet. Hence you felt that she was geniuinely starting to reach out to Khushi, yet being hesitant to go the whole way.

Forget whether Anjali is grey, white or black. Think of her as a woman who loves her brother very much, and loves her husband equally. As you said it has not yet been proved to her that Shyam is behind Arnav's kidnapping. Khushi's version of the Shyam-Khushi relationship also has not been proved yet - forget the fact that Payal vouched for the second, and NK vouched for the first, and NK at least, if not Payal can be thought to be an unbiased bystander.

All right, let's forget NK, Shyam said that like she tricked him and ASR, Khushi also managed to trick NK ... Khushi apparently managed to trick the entire world and they're all ready to lie for her, Shyam is the only one telling the truth here. She trusts Shyam more than Khushi, Payal and NK put together. Understandable, she has known Shyam for three years, Khushi-Payal for just a few months, and NK, as we said, is susceptible to Khushi's charms, hence not a reliable witness.

So Anjali has no reason to trust Khushi. And she is justified in that mistrust. Completely agreed.

YET she is happy for her brother to be in love with that girl?!

Would any woman be happy to see her brother be so deeply in love with a girl who she thinks is even slightly capable of breaking up her own marriage and then setting her sights on her brother? Would any woman be truly happy to see her brother in love with such a woman?

If the answer is yes, that Anjali can accept a loose character woman for her brother, then I will accept that Anjali is genuinely trying to reach out to Khushi.

Look at the other side now. Now say that Anjali has completely accepted that Khushi is completely blameless, and hence she is trying to reach out to Khushi. So she accepts that her husband was completely at fault, Khushi is pure as the driven snow, and so she is happy for Arnav.

For any woman, is it easy to accept that her brother is madly in love with the woman who, however innocently and unwittingly, was the cause of the breakup of her own marriage? Is it easy to accept that girl, who by her very sight would remind Anjali every day that her husband preferred that girl over her?

It would be a very confident woman, who already doubted her husband before this, to accept that her husband is completely to blame, and Khushi is completely blameless ... and hence be FULLY and TRULY happy to have Khushi in Arnav's life.

The thing is, that whether Anjali accepts Khushi to be at fault, or completely blameless, till she has any doubt, she cannot be genuinely happy for Arnav to be with Khushi. Hence my reading that Anjali is doing an act for Arnav's benefit, pretending to be happy for him, till she can be sure about Khushi. In her mind, she is selfless about Arnav, she's watching out for him, but keeping him on her good side, because if she antagonises him about Khushi, he will be up in arms against her.

Leading from that to your second post ... OF COURSE Shyam is smart enough to prove to Anjali that Khushi is a gold digger and tried to trap him. And because Anjali is keeping Khushi under the scanner already, she is susceptible to that chain of thought, and that is exactly how Shyam will worm his way back in.

You also asked, ... does it matter to Di that he loves Khushi more?
I would say, at this point, to me it seems that it DOES matter to Di whether Arnav loves Khushi more. That he can be happy to spend time with Khushi, in the time that he had allocated to spend with Di. And also, because she has so many doubts about Khushi's role, she cannot be happy to see Arnav with Khushi ...

  23. Dia, i missed one of ur posts above.....it gives me a diff perspective to what i am saying....will watch the epi as it airs now and come back....

  24. Dia,

just watched the epi and i see a lot of sense in the view that u have put across

That Anji is an extremely insecure person....is a common view held by all of us..

The highlight, and u have been saying that for a while now (in fact, if i remember even before the revelation) is that Anji, in her insecure state had chosen to overlook Shyam's proclivities to err..many incidents in the past, she has tried to brush off....in an effort to keep it all together.

But, the betrayal though a big shock is a smaller one compared to the her sudden and growing fear that her bro is also going far away from her.

So the assurance works like a balm like no other.....even his recall of that moment is a moment for her to rejoice that all is not lost....suddenly she see paradise regained....

Dia, honestly...it is not an easy view to form, given Anji's devotion to Shyam all along and while there have been glimpses of this every now and then....my own view was that she will fight for her rosy world.....that she has almost come to terms (operative word being almost) with Shyam's betrayal...is a new perspective....

I don't know what could have been done in the scene to portray this becos this aspect is not so easy to show on screen as easy it is to explain it with the written word.

The subtlety in narration has perhaps been taken to some strange levels...that it gets debated in such a manner.

Now i can safely say, loved ur post

    2. Rekha, am not completely sure about Anjali's feelings for Shyam yet. Arnav glossed over the Khushi-Shyam issue ... Anjali lookd away when he touched on it, so he didn't say much there. He addressed her main worry - that SHE is not important to him now that he has Khushi. And he reassured her that she still in important to him.

Now that she has got this reassurance, she will turn all her hurt towards Khushi ... maybe Shyam was unfaithful, but it wasn't entirely his fault ... from there to blaming Khushi for it all is a small step.

Like I said, let's see how grey they make Anjali, my guess is that it will be only enough to allow Shyam to manipulate her.

  25. Loved the episode today. Infact I loved Anj-Arnav convo as well. there was lot happening there. Anji completely glossed over the fact that Arnav married Khushi coz of her, that he thought khushi was having an affair with shyam. Her insecure mind did not want to hear anything untoward shyam and hence just ignored that. She did not ask things like 'chotey why did you doubt they were having an affair? what happened for you to think that? what happened for you to believe khushi was innocent etc etc.' But anji chose to ignore this. She chooses to react to chotey saying 'I got married because you and your child di. I didn't love khushi when I got married but started falling in love since I got married' The strongest of her reactions being on 'Di aap kehti thi na ki meri zindagi mein koi aayegi jiske door jaane se meri saansein rukh jayegi' not because she is very happy for chotey, IMO opinion the stringest reaction because chotey remembers HER WORDS. That's what made a difference he remembers HER WORDS. Anji is very very insecure and very maniulative at the same time. Arnav knows his sister enough to know that she is insecure hence he did his best to and told her only what she can and would like to listen to. Although he did make it a point to tell her that she loves khushi very much now. I think Anji spoke to khushi because she now knows that her brother loves her very much and he will be very unhappy if she kept ignoring khushi and eventually arnav might move away from her as he loves his wife very much hence she spoke to khushi.

Dia as you say I agree that anji has had no change of heart towards Khushi. I was thinking the same during khushi Anji convo, anji made an amicable convo with khushi asked after buaji, asked her to have breakfast before leaving but backed off as soon as khushi took a step towards her. arnav is in his bubble, thinking yes! he has sorted things and slowly everything will be alright... Arnav is in for a nasty shock when he realises what is going on in his sister's mind.

Opti I don't think anji is geniunely happy for Arnav. She is only happy that he remembered her words. She is happy that their equation has not changed due to khushi coming in his life. For the time being she is happy that chotey said that Di is still very important to him. That's all that matters right now.

Khushi has now gone to GH and I think Arnav will soon realise she lied (precap says it all). It will not take long for him to understand that she is still upset but he will think she is upset bacuase of the contract, which is at the moment, but will not think about Di manipulation and insecurity angel just yet. Now that he has Di's blessing he will spend more time at GH woing her back and Di will get more and more insecure about chotey spending so much time after khushi. In the near future, Anji will again bring up a similar convo with chotey accusing him of changing because of khushi... that's when it will start dawning on him how insecure his sister is.

The thing is although Arnav know his sister's insecurities he doesn't know how deep they are. Everytime she has been remotely insecure so far, chotey has immediately tended to her and calmed her insecurities but this time it's different. He will not be able to tend to her insecurities as he can't afford to let go of khushi which means spending time to woo her and hence spending less time around anji.

    1. UJ,

      Aa gale mil bey!

Bte what was Anji's grouse the last time Arnav was spending time with Khushi. She felt he had lied to her by sayign "he thoguht of her when he canceleld the meeting". Tpday she is happy becayse she got assurance he had thought of hr when he got married to.

Anjali again said "When you stopped answering my questions" you had changed. She forgot teh first instance he did nto answer her. Also Arnav's dialogu abotu loving Khushi only after marriage is right in a sense. When Arav was going to talk to her that night he wanted to tell her, ki kyun farak padhtha hai. He did not realize it was love then. And yes in the heat of teh moment he did nto love her then, he hated her for trying to destroy his Di's happiness. There will come a day he will realize that it has always beeen love for her. A day he will realize that he could have sent her away that night for destroying Di's happiness but he chose to marry her.

And the day he ralizs this and tells Anjali that he had always loved Khushi - the notion that will come undone in her eyes is that her brother thought of her that night. Again he will be perceived to have thought of Khushi and himself.

The beauty was the alternating with Nani where nani clearly states teh fact that ANjali knew sparks flew between them even before marriage. So there is more to happen here. Anjali who told Khushi that when her bro would not listen to her and stop distancing himself on the mother's b'day, used to listen to Khushi to come down for poojas etc. He helped with Diwali lights in the house. He had begun to change even back then.

For Anjali it will be a
      Jaanke Anjaan hum bane
      Dekhkhe Andekha Humne kiya

Arnav whose most trusted relation is with his Di hinks his assurance has set right all. What he does not realize yet is that this relationship is actually quicksand. When settled and calm it appears fin but when disturbed, it will suck in everything that comes in contact.

Anjali made a move to speak to Khushi only when Arnav was around. She did not speak to Payal. So her talking to Khushi is a reaction to Arnav telling her that he loves her. Like Arnav maintained a facade of HMC for his Di, she will ry and maintain a facade of cordiality to Khushi for chote's happiness. But Anjali's happiness needs 2 factors - chottee's care and her husband's happiness. When she tries to compelte her happiness, a conflict wil larise with chote's happiness. That will be a day to reckon.

Khushi knows Di has not forgiven her. Arnav thinks Di is all fine. Only time will bring out the final truth. Sooner or later the Gupta family will want Khushi to go back. But she will refuse. Arnav will want her back but she will postpone. Its is like the water at GH - she has postpond teh problem for now, but soon it will all come gushing out in the open.

    2. Sandy Jhappis.... Just thinking about the handpump incidence, it could apply to Anji-shyam as well. Anji had so many clues but she chose to ignore them all, brush them under the carpet and move on. IMO she has delayed and will delay confronting the issue for so long that everything, every nitty gritty will comeout in open, in public. Unfortunately, for khushi and Arnav, anji's lack of strength to face the issue will cause their relationship the maximum angst. Fortunately fir Arnav, khushi is extremely brave and loves him too much so like after the public bath she takes him back to GH from back route, she will not point a finger at him or blame him for anything when the ugli truth in it's entirety including the circumstances of her marriage becomes public. If anything she will only shield him from being shunned by his family and hers....

    3. UJ,

Hand pump is equivalent to GH comign to know of why Khushi and Arnav got married and how Shyam featured in the mess. So Buaji is going to have a field day ripping Arnav. And it will have to be Khushi who will need to wash the gobar off Arnav and reflect him to her family in the true light.

The only person who has seen he affection these 2 share is babuji I think.

    4. As for Dekhke Andekha ..Jaanke Anjaan

Anjali will face ti in 2 ways: Arnav and Shyam.
With Arnav teh journey began yday. With Shyam it is yet to begin.

Khushi already did her bit with Shyam. Now she needs to have it happen with her for Arnav. His care and affection. His concern sheathed under his brusqueness and anger. Somewhere Khushi knows but she is not acknowledging it to herself.

    6. Sorry, Sandy and Jaya, I didn't understand the last two comments ... Khushi knows/ does not know what? Her own feelings for Arnav? Or Arnav's feelings for her?

I think she knows both, and is distancing herself anyway ... she knows Arnav loves her, but all the doubts that Opti spelled out are very much in the forefront for her ... that plus the honour part from the love, trust and honour.

      Delete
    7. dia, khushi has to become "dekhke andekhe hum hue" for arnav's love n affection.. ie, she sees it, but has to ignore it.. but i do not think that khushi will wait out for honor in his eyes... it has always been khushi's character to sacrifice herself, her own joys for the people she loves.
remember the sharaabi act? (first one that popped into my head) she herself was dropped on the road in the middle of the night.. but she chose to bring happiness to her sister.

today, she knows that her presence at shantivan is not welcomed by a majority.. she cannot tolerate their unhappiness , which mostly stemmed from her presence.. even her husband who loves her, said that.. and all she can see is that they will continue to tolerate her for his sake..

and really, in khushi's shoes, i would have boarded the first train to lucknow.. but there is no one in lucknow, buaji and her parents are at lakshmi nagar.. so she is going there. she is sure that her husband can live without her, even if he loves her.. it was never aout honor.

      Delete
    8. Jaya Dia

Khushi knows he loves her and cares for her. In fact subconsciously she probably knows he cares for her the most and that is what is eating at her. She does not want to acknowledge that she is indeed the most important person to him. She realises that it would have easier for Arnav to let her walk away on two important iccassions, one when they got married and two after his outburst when Di tried to kill her baby. But he chose to hild on to her proving to her that she is the most important person. Khushi is very sensitive and intelligent. While she did not know the reason for marriage she had no idea what to think of it but with her sensibility once she realised it was coz of Shyam MU would she not think what we thought why not let me walk away? Why marry me? Why bring me in the same house as VLR?
In Di's eyes she is already responsible for shyam going away from Di and she doesn't want to be responsible for becoming the most important person in Di's chotey's life.
Although i agree that the honour part of love trust and honour may be a factor in lying. IMO the primary reason is that Arnav is falling more and more in love with her by the day. She will not be able to hold out for too long without reciprocation. She did not back off or close her eyes when arnav tried to kiss her after the rose carpet showing herself that she getting weaker when it comes to reciprocating.... And if she reciprocates Di will not be able to handle it....
Had it been about her honour and contract and the way they got married she would have backed off that day without relenting and letting him make that advance on her...

      Delete
    9. UJ i agree.. she cannot control herself when he comes so close to her.. happened many a time before his confession too :D

of course, now that he is so open about her affections, di will not be able to handle it..

like someone said, anjali asked khushi to have breakfast and go.. not the way to talk to the badi bahu.. she implies that khushi is junior to her in position.. yet khushi does not even notice that.. so khushi does not care about honor at all.. she has firmly(if wrongly) accepted that she is a contract wife, temporary guest... who has fallen in love with her temporary husband.. now the only way out is to reject his advances..

gahh no time to elaborate. be thankful, girls!

I hear what u are saying. sp the post above owarsd teh end makes sense.

And yes Khsuhi knows he loves her a lot and cares for her. But she still considers herself the kaanta in his life. That was the unknowing I spoke of.

Also how do I explain this, for the honour part, what cut Khushi up was the way he lashed out at her so easily about it all being her fault. ANd that day Di was a mess. What if Di has another episode and he lashes out at her again. Plus in answer all she got was she was tied by conract. Now he is in that phase where Khushi will begin to forget the shaitaan and she is scared that he will again resurface to hurt her.
      Make sense?

Shucks man I want another bawajood dialogue but this time from Arnav.

Actually in that last scene as Khushi stood to look back at Arnav and he went back to the car, I was so strongly reminded of the Diwali epi where he drops her at her house before he goes back in again.

Anjali is doing the Happy Nanad act for Arnav's sake like he did the HMC act for his sake. By the way i wondered who told her Buaji was unwell. And somehow it felt to me that she came to meet Khushi because Khushi was leaving. The nazar that had come upon her house was going away so it was but basic cordiality on her part. She did not say I hope Buaji gets well soon. She said eat and leave as if saying have that Last Meal before you are condemned / walk your last walk.

And without Khushi around she will go back to her old self, tending her flock, fussing over ehr bro and mostly ignoring Payal is my feeling.

    11. J, UJ,

I feel its a very diffi thing to explain.....
Perhaps, at the core, its an issue that one cannot be subjected to having to make such a choice, its unfortunate

Khushi will be third wheel or Anji will be wheel...but is such a state practical?

Now Arnav says Di ur position will never change in my life. But, it already has...someone is in his life having the same position. Words that are spoken today by Arnav will not be acted out by him without collateral damage....when that damage occurs, what is the path that Arnav will take is the question. He is in la-la land right now...

I want to perceive Khushi's action as that of what a sensible person does in the situation. She recognises that she will alawys be a sore point in Anji's life and wants to move from it becos it is not a choice she wants Arnav to be subjected to.

On honor, Khushi will not want to be the person who is given that position in the Raizada family becos Anji agrees to it. I can't explain this well without it sounding as if she is haughty ...but in a sense...as if its something that she gets after Anji has okayed it...If u see, yesterday Arnav was hesitant to approach Khushi on the Anji convo....his reasons may have been different but i somehow got the feeling, she is moving from it all for that very reason....she perhaps knows how tenuous/fickle that understanding of Anji really is

  26. Contd...

Arnav will probably realise tomorrow that khushi lied. He will ask khushi the reaon for lying to leave RM... in the heat of the convo she will probably throw the contract in his face and he will realise he needs to fix that issue. Teej coming up, hence contract will be fixed between Khushi and Arnav only. IMO arnav will play along with khushi's lie and tell people at RM that he needs to go to GH to help with buaji's health before Teej.

Mami tells khushi to not hurry to come back to RM and spend enough time in her mternity home so she is not coming back to RM soon. Maybe 3 months. Arnav can't stick around so long at GH he will get back to RM. Although we will get lots of A-K romance in GH we will also get a dhamaka at GH soon as Khushi is staying for so long. Reminds me of Payal's 'sachai khushi ke wajah se hi samne aai hai'.... again khushi will be reason for truth to come out in GH as well.

Loved nani today. She is truly khushi champion. You can see that she will stand as a strong pillar for Arshi.

    1. UJ, thankssss!!!! Yes, I'm on exactly the same page as you ...
Anjali's biggest smile was when Arnav told her he remembered HER words abut love, her only words were about that too - "You remembered what I said?"
And her words to Khushi were exactly for the same reason, to show Arnav that she is making an effort with Khushi for his sake, because he loves Khushi and would not be happy with Anjali if she continued ignoring Khushi. And Anjali also saw that he is not in the least apologetic about showing his love for Khushi in front of the rest - the way he told Khushi to stop fidgeting with the carpet.

I will give Anjali the benefit of doubt here by saying she IS happy that Arnav has found love ... But will add, she is happier still that his love for his wife doesn't alter his love for his sister. That was a factor she didn't think about when planning his love life, how much it will impact HER place in his life. Now that he has reassured her about her place, she can afford to be more generous towards Khushi ...

But a point she made very subtly there was also this ... "Nashta kha kar jaana."
Meaning, this is still MY house, you are the outsider.

And the way she stepped back when Khushi came forward ... I will decide how far to reach, and you will accept it.

Unfortunately Khushi is still too sweet to mind the rejection, she's just happy with that first step.

And yes, very right about the way ahead ... Arnav thinks he now has carte blanche to woo Khushi, because Di is all sorted out, but this will add more and more to Di's insecurities, and the whole 'she's more important to you than I am' will bursts open again. And then more dhamaka ... probably the real reason for the wedding comes in front of Payash and Mami.

Loved Nani today too ... she was truly the wise matriarch, able to see all sides of the picture - helps that she has also been given most of the truth.

    2. Dia / UJ,

      Huggs girls.

Buaji wil lbe the person to tell Arnav about ust how SHyam came into their lives. Khushi will again tell them that th Shyam truth is out in RM and Di si upset so she has come home. Garima may accept it and ask Khushi to be reasonable as Payal's life too is at stake. Especially if Khushi tells hr that she married Arnav because he thratened to break Payal's marriage. This scene has to playout in the context of Arnav Khushi and Garima and garima slapping Khushi just after the wedding.

I have my feeling of Buaji catching hold of Arnav and explainign things and why Khushi kept silent - recall how at Preeto's marriage Buaji told him about her sanka devi and hwo Arnav go bhaavuk upon hearing the same. Plus she was the one who had taken his class after guest house incident too.

Khushi's indication on Nani managing Anjali is for Anjali to be gradually woken upto facts about Khushi herself and also the Ari equation when she has a meltdown like Fri about their togetherness.

Arnav's surpirse is going to be that perhaps apart from Nani no one asks for Khushi at RM in her absence. No one seems to miss her except him and perhaps NK. Mami the next time she says a word on Khushi is definitely getting a warning from Arnav.

Akash today told payal not to repeat what Khushi did by keeping quiet. And he walked upto his bhai. Payal still has not told Akash that his bro is responsible for her first wedding breaking. She is silet there since Khushi stopped her the other day. So the newfound peace will again be shaken cos Akash wats to forget the past and start not learn from the past. And bhai needs to tell Akash about how Khushi relented and kept quiet because he had wagered Payal's life. Plus Payal today appealed to Akash as the bahi of RM. She has somewhere forgotten she also needs to be a sister. She never mentioned taking care of Khushi when she is hurt right now for fear fo angering Akash more. So this truce cannot last.

Akash took chai only after he gave the file to his bro - an indication that he will accept Khushi wholeheartedly only after he learns teh truth from his bro? And it was only after that Khushi told him Jijaji hum aate hain - the one person she chose to say she will come back, the one relation she chose to stay connected to RM.

RM is in 2 facions. Payal and NK firmly with Khushi. Mami, Akaash and Anjali firmly with Arnav. Nani is the only bridge between teh 2 factions.

When NK stopped Khushi from leaving, Arnav had shut his laptop and had fiemly walked across to Khushi. When he realizzes exactly why all Khushi chose to silently walk away, Arnav is going to be more entrenched on Khushi's side because he will realzie how she again put him and his family before herself.

Plus the sagai scene comes to mind: Laptop se inki tum kardo sagaai
Aathon peher dil pe hai taale.

Today the laptop has been shunned for Khushi. Time to well and truly unlock the heart?

  27. Today's episode confused me. First of all, Khushi got confirmation from Nani that Anjali always wanted Arnav and her to get together. Anjali even spoke with her today no matter what the reason was (read: like you guys said, being cold in private). Why did she feel the need to leave by lying? I do not understand why she is always trying to be mahaan. Making her own decisions which almost always backfires. The episode was very fast too. Maybe with Teej coming up they just decided not to show Khushi's reflections and her car ride back to GH.

    I miss Arnav's old car though :(

And its funny when Arnav mentioned that he married Khushi because he mistrusted her with Shyam, Anjali did not really give a reaction to the link up of her husband with Khushi. She did not even ask for any clarifications on how long Arnav had known Shyam's truth. I liked it when Anjali talked to Khushi and even noticed her haste to leave when it almost seemed like Khushi was going to hug her but her obliviousness about Shyam and Khushi baffled me.

      I feel:
      1. Why did she feel the need to leave by lying?
Anjali could be trying to be cordial. There was a little bit of coldness in her attitude and she did not allow Khushi to take further steps towards her.
Nani was talking about b4 marriage, Khushi knows things changed with Shyam's exit.
      2. Anjali did not really give a reaction to the link up of her husband with Khushi.(REALLY good point you made here.): : The CVS don't want her to get the truth from Arnav. They want her to continue to be doubtful and hopeful till Shyam comes.

  29. Well, till I actually see Anj demand that chottey give up his happiness for hers, knowing both Khushi and Arnav love each other, I would like to believe she does have his best interests in mind and is reacting the way she deos because she does not have all the facts. Yes, she is insecure and in her insecurity she may act strangely. That is something I can live with.

Now coming to Khushi's behaviour, this is what I think. We know that Khushi has left because the contract period is over but why did she have to leave when she knows that Arnav really loves and cares for her? Apart from the fact that she does not want to come in the way of bro-sis bond, I think she did this because of what marriage means to her and what it means to Arnav (or what she thinks it means to Arnav).

She always had a problem with Arnav's disrespect and disbelief in the institution of marriage. We saw that play out during the La track where she has had more than one verbal battle on that count. She is still not sure whether Arnav's views on marriage has changed since then. Yes, he did agree to marry La but then she knew that is partly because he wanted to avoid her (coming as it did immediately after the near-kiss by the pool side) and partly to prevent Nani from being ridiculed by her neighbours and friends.

Arnav again proved his disrespect for marriage by demanding that she agrees for a contract marriage of six months. She knew that he was aware how much marriage means to her and that for her it was a lifetime commitment and yet he made a mockery of their marriage by performing part of the rituals (minus the all important pheres) in a deserted temple with no witnesses. Technically what they had wasn't a marriage at all because even in a gandharva marriage which does not require the pheres, both parties should willingly get into the marriage bond. here one was just dragged into it against her will.

So for Khushi, that night was a black night for more reasons than one. Not only her dreams of a fairy tale wedding came crashing down. She was forced into an illegal bond with the man she loved but going against all her principles, all for the sake of her sister. The worst part was she wasn't even aware why she was being given such a huge punishment of living a lie day in and day out. It was effectively a live-in relationship where she was given a mangalsutra and sindhoor to flaunt but not the promises or commitment that comes with a marriage. She chose to ignore the lack of permanency in their bond because she knew it was some sort of punishment he was meting out to her for a crime she is supposed to have committed but would not be told about. She tried to get him to reveal the reason for this punishment by indulging in all sort of acts but to no avail. So she kept throwing her new name at him post their 'marriage' - Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada'-not only to irritate him but to also subconsciously reassure herself that what they had between was indeed a marital bond.

    1. Opti,

Right now Khsuhi is a clean slat where Njali is concerned. She is reacting to Khushi as her bro said he had begun to love her. Khushi is the girl for him. Her happiness for now was the assurance that her brother will be with her and Khushi is no threat to that.

Like I said above, Anjali's happiness for completion needs her husband too and Khushi is an obstacle to that. It is then that Anjali's true feelings for Khushi will surface IMO.

Opi, I still feel that the contract period is not ovr. Hence the need for Khushi to lave by stealth. Arnav would nto have let her go but there was the added danger that he would have messed up Payal's life too in teh process just because she was not listening to him. But yes she also left because somewhere she feels that her presence and their need to spend time as a couple will keep ausing pain to Di and thereby she will misunderstand Arnav. And she cannot bear to see Arnav hurt (did she not keep quiet about Shyam in the first place because of this too). So she decides to leave suppressing whateevr she fels for him, what her heart is beginning to feel. The last time she was this depressed was when she had not heard from Arnav and she had told Anjali how the room, kithen and even the plants reminded her of Arnav that she could not even smile. Today all she can think of is him and hence cannot even smile.

And she cannot lie to him about leaving him so she pre-empted his question whether she would come back home.

  30. (contd)

During the entire period that they were 'married' she couldn't stop loving him although she despised his actions. Arnav's kidnapping and the subsequent fall out made her realise the importance she holds for this bond. What started off as a forced marriage with an expiry date became a life long commitment at least from her end. Like Sati Savitri, she brought back her husband from the jaws of death by risking her own life. In the realisation of how much he loved her she forgot the temporary nature of their bond till he brought it up. That was quite a shocker for her. Yes, her man is hot headed and says a lot of things in his anger. Even if he does not mean half the things he says and he really does love her, he has never said or did anything to make her think his views on marriage have changed. In fact his reminding her of the fact that she is bound to him by the contract and cannot leave when she wants to showed that he still disregarded the institution of marriage. The challenge he threw stating that she will run into his arms and acknowledge him as her husband also underlined his need to have the upperhand in their relationship rather than his acceptance of the sacred bond of matrimony.

It was never about whether she accepts him as her husband. She always has and always will. It is about whether he considers her as his wife, not just in words, but in every sense of the word. Does the institution of marriage hold as important a place in his life as it does in hers? Clearly she does not have an answer to that yet. Her fear is that in his euphoria in her accepting him as her husband, he may conveniently forget that they still do not have a proper marriage. A continuance of the status quo goes against her character for what they essentially have is still just a live-in relationship. She continued with this flimsy arrangement for the sake of her sister but that reason is no longer there since the six-month period is over and he can no longer threaten to break Payash's marriage. Arnav is a man of his words and she knows he will not go back on that count. So with her sister safe, what could be the reason for her to stay on as his 'wife' when clearly there is no bond between them?

If she stays on only because they love each other, then the technical live-in becomes a real live-in for she will not be able to hold back her feelings for him and she knows he is already physically attracted to her. However much she wants to be his woman forever, she does not want it at the cost of her principles.

Why is she not telling Arnav that she wants a real marriage this time? She knows that if she does he may give in and get married to her but would that change anything if he really does not believe in that institution? For her it does not. If he lives on as her husband she would want it to be because he wants to and not because he has to.

As complex as this situation already is, his Di's mental state only adds to her resolve to leave. She just found out the previous night that Di always wanted them to be together, even before she came into the house as a bride. Now that very same Di has been deprived of her own married life and she is indirectly responsible for it. Di, in her goodness of heart may not object to her presence in RM but she will be a constant reminder of what her husband has done. That will tear her apart and in turn make Arnav miserable.

In this scenario all she could see is misery for her (as she is in a relationship which does not have the sanctity of a real marriage) and misery for the people around her. So she chooses to withdraw. She may cause Arnav pain because she knows he really loves her but sometimes love is just not enough.

This paves the way for Arnav to seriously woo and make her understand that he does appreciate and honour the institution of marriage and they may have their unique marriage which does not follow any traditions but is a manifestation of the depths of love these feel for each other.

    1. Opti,

This was simply amazing! It makes perfect sense the way you put it.I could almost imagine Khushi having a chat with Devi Maiya and telling her all this.
Arnav does need to realise how cheap he made her feel when he forced her to stay in his room without marrying her. Even if he didn't accept his love for her then and is very vocal about it now..it still does not make her feel better. It reminds me of the car fight

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLQ6A76JvQk

when she told him that he fears commitment and that he is insulting La by keeping her as a live-in instead of marrying her. And she said that she wud never agree if someone wud ask her to do that and that would be her biggest insult..as you said..love is not enuf to make up for that.

So Arnav needs to accept that now that the contract is over..she is KKG again and he needs to woo her and ask for her hand in marriage the traditional way...the way he wanted to on that black night. She deserves that and the real marriage(even if noone attends).but she needs to feel she bellongs in RM...she shud rightfully take her place as the elder bahu of the house and accept that his house, his room and his bed is now theirs...;-)

    2. Opti,

Beautifully put ... Khushi's POV about marriage and her reason for walking out. I agree completely with your view.

Yes, Khushi is very insecure still about her marriage. And Arnav is not helping by his attitude. It's more a victory for him . She lost the challenge, she has to accept him as her husband. But does he truly accept her as his wife? Because what they have is essentially a live-in arrangement ... and although she knows he loves her now, that doesn't help. In fact, it makes it more difficult ... they are strongly attracted to each other physically, and now that she has accepted him as her husband, he wants her to be a real wife in every way. But how valid or sanctified is their marriage in the first place?

I also liked your reason as to why is she not simply telling Arnav what is bothering her. Yes, if she did, he would agree instantly to re-marrying her again ... and would probably try to give her the dream wedding which he deprived her of. Which is also all wrong from the sheer timing POV - when Di's marriage is falling apart ... and even if they do go for a quiet wedding, again, your point, Arnav is doing it for her, because he wants her to accept him as her husband, but he hasn't really understood what it means to accept her as his wife. It would be just a ceremony for him, a ceremony only for her sake.

And from the AA conversation, Arnav has still not understood the real meaning of marriage. His blithe assurance to Di, that she continues to hold the same place in his life as before, just reaffirms that ... and if it continues that way, there will always be a tug of war between the two women ... because both are insecure in their own ways. Whether or not Anjali likes her, it will always hurt Anjali to see her around, because she IS the cause of Anjali's marriage breaking ... it would be a very secure woman who could handle the other woman in her life, becoming such an important part of her brother's life and her family. And Anjali is one of the most insecure women alive. So a recipe for disaster. Especially when Khushi herself is not sure of the sanctity or the longevity of her own marriage, and Arnav really doesn't help, by throwing something or the other back at her every time she melts ... first it was aukat, gold-digger, then it became her character and how her parents would be ashamed of her, and finally it became her fault Di is upset and unhappy. As she says to Nani, every time she tries to do good, she makes things worse ... even her attempt to help Payash made things worse between them, not better.

So she has just given up now ... better to walk out and stay away ... as you said, love is sometimes just not enough.

I also think this is the start of Arnav's true RTRW ... as he will now start seeing the true hurt of Khushi, how much she has gone through, what all he has put her through, what all Shyam has put her through ... finally to lead to his REAL 'Saansein Ruk Jayengi" moment, when even knowing he loves her and she loves him, he is on the brink of losing her for good. And that will lead him to discover the real meaning of marriage, not just an exchange of vows, or a ceremony for the sake of society, but an actual commitment of heart and soul, of two people to each other.

    3. Thanks Sonu and Dia,

I am so looking forward for a true RTRW where Arnav agonises over what he had subjected the woman he madly loves. Di had taken cetre stage when the entire truth about what Khushi had to go through came tumbling out. He couldn't really dwell on it much. Since Khushi always bounced back after every blow she faced, it is easy to take her resilience for granted. He needs to have a breakdown moment like the one he had after the terrace scene. I recently saw a VM made by coldyfriend1 (the same girl who made the pride and prejudice VM). It showed Arnav agonising over what he has done and Khushi ultimately accepting his remorse and repentence. I need to see that to be able to appreciate this love story which till now has been quite lopsided.

But do you also honour me? Would you safeguard my honour when the tim comes? And would you be able to continue to honour me when the person who means so much to you does not love me, does not trust me nor does she believe in my honour - I do not know.

And so my love, we part ways.

    6. For some reason reading through what Opti and Dia wrote, made me think of that scene when Arnav comes and pulls out Khushi's band covering her back and Khushi thinks it is still about the bet (kiss). She is miffed and tells him to be aware of their surroundings. It is only later when she walks towards Nani thatNani makes her realize what Arnav did and how he was actually protecting her honour.

Yday when Arnav told her to look around her, made me think of this moment when she had long ago told him to look around him.

So from now on I guess the jouney is about Arnav realizing how she has always loved him and trusted him and always considered him her husband, or at least loved him (maybe the trust part got stablished in his eyes already) and the ways in which he has dishonoured her. Whereas for Khushi it is a journey to realize how he has always loved her and though been blunt and rude, he has always protected her honour except for the very first time when they met and he released that footage.

    7. Opti,

The bit about honour......the crux of what Khushi expects,if anything, from this bond, almost tenuous....lovely point...

U have taken it further from ur post of yesterday and built it beautifully....Could see it in better light today. I was not able to appreciate the Anji-Arnav scene well enuf yesterday and it took me Dia's post to find meaning in the episode....

    - was not able to swallow the 'I don't mind' bit and now this!!! Cant accept the "i did not love her when i married her bit at all (i understood the first sentences - i married her for you not coz i loved her - that was true enough but the second - unpardonable!!!)

    - someone please tell me how three days ago, ODB was talking of 2 months to woo her and now you guys say the contract period is over??? am so confused - even by Narnia timeline, this is ridiculous and if ODB took two months to lay out flowers for his wife, i wash my hands off him - he deserves to be abandoned, Hopeless!!!!

    1. Mona,

They deliebrately made ODB mouth those lines 'I don't mind' to make him sound flippant about the whole issue of 'marriage' while in reality he really 'wants' to be her husband. I can understand his 'I did not love her when I married her' too because that is what he believed at the time. He may have fallen in love with her before and was about to confess when he witnessed that scene on the terrace. Although in his heart he never stopped loving her even then, he always lets his head rule and at that moment he really despised her to the core. His decision to marry was driven by his desire to protect his Di's marriage (at least until the birth of her child), punish Khushi for what he thought she did and more importantly to regain control over his life which he lost when he witnessed that disgusting scene. So I dont think he lied or hid the truth from his Di but since he did not lay all the facts including why he thought the two were having an affair and neither did he tell her what Khushi had to go through for him to ultimately see the truth but merely said that he fell in love with her post marriage, the CVs have given room for Anj later believing that Arnav's actions were solely governed by his blind love for his wife and not by what he already knows.

Did ODB say that there were two months to go? If he did then it is one of the many bloopers this show has regarding timelines. People are talking about the contract period coming to an end because that is what the spoiler post in IF said and the poster is quite a reliable source of information regarding the show.

    2. Opti thanks - so now i can digest the 'i dont mind' - but still cant digest the i did not love her - i mean ASR for all his arrogance was always truthful, right? then why would he say he did not love his wife when he married her - yes he was in anger and doubted her but love is not a switch that you can turn on and off at will - a few hours ago you were sooo in love, you see her with TF and start hating her??? no you are angry and hurt - that i can believe and accept - but hate??
ok lets say he hated her - but then he realized that he was wrong and that she deserved all the love he planned to shower on her earlier - so again - he is giving her part truths
Oh - and the day he promised to woo her back - he did mention 2 months -

And Opti - thanks - you kind of put me at ease as to why ODG left - that had me confused big time - yes i can see that to her mind she still needs proof that ODB is serious for life and that in his mind - she is his legally wedded wife, so that is not even an issue
ok i need to get to work now :D

    3. Mona, we are talking about a man who does not know the meaning of love and who ridiculed the very idea. Yes, it is not a switch you can put on or put off but he did think so. Yes, he is giving part truths but that is what he has been doing all along, hasn't he? Has he really confessed everything to everyone? He has always only said what they need to know. When Nani had expressed her difficulty believing Shyam can stoop to the level he did he told her that he knows Shyam is a kamina because he himself had seen and heard things which proved he is guilty. While he mentioned about his marriage to Khushi he did not tell her that he made it a contract marriage because that would shock her and affect her sensibilities. Likewise he told his Di what he thought she needed to know, that he always would value her place in his life. When she cited that his marriage was the reason he has changed and moved away from her he made it clear that he married for her sake and not because of love. He did not say he hated Khushi. I think he said he did not love her at the time of marriage. He cleverly mentioned that he found his love just as she said he would, thereby making her feel important in his life. All these half truths by Arnav and white lies by Khushi may come back to bite both of them, though.

are we going to have a repeat of that in some form...

    9. Rekha,

Welcome to the club. Tho of course to me the contract still exists because even I feel that had it been over, Khushi would have walked out saying that in his face. Plus she tells Nani not to tell Payal. She will herself tell Payal.

Besdies in the promo and also in that poolside scene, Arnav silently promises Khushi that he will win her back before the contract is over. And he hasn't really win her back yet. He has just begun to do that is it not?

And I have faint hopes someplace for that what began on 8th May comes a cirlce on 5th Aug. He told her then he married her fofr Di and her baby's sake. He will marry her this time round for her sake, for his ake, for their sake.

I think like J mentioned above Khushi is scared taht she is fallen for him and falling so hard that if she does not leave now she stands to get hurt bigtime and also that her continued presence will keep harming his relationship with Di. So she internalizes it all and leaves.

  33. Sandy, kua bast kahi. Yup agree she postponed it and delayed it so much that it came out in public. Even the channa scene, arnav brought channa for her. She immediately had a few and spilled a handful. Rest she packed away with her in her bag. It was like she off loaded some of her burden to Arnav, she told him and RM vaasis about Shyam, dealt with KNing and he knows she suffered due to it. But she has packed with her a lot of hurt and a lot os unsaid stuff to carry back to GH. the channas will have to be brought out of the bag sooner or later.

Bitwa could never see her hurt, could never take her tears and he is not convinced she fine when he drops her off at GH. bitwa will turn around even before reaching RM and come back because he needs to know she really is fine. So her lie will be caught very soon. It's what he does after that and how he reacts. I hope he moves to GH before Teej but khushi refuses to share a room/bed with him because she is no longer his wife. In effect throwing him out of her room/bed thus reminding him of what he did on wedding night. Ofc unintentionally. Khushi would never do it on purpose.

I am windering where Arnav is trying to recreate their moments together, he is concentrating on pre wedding moments. Will khushi unintentionally end up creating post wedding moments of hurt and pain thus helping bitwa realise what he put her through...

    1. UJ,

Nice thought about chana. Jogging suit made me think of the kasrat session. SO teh burden of Shyam's khulaasa is being borne by both Arnav and Khushi now. It is only after Arnav takes it over from her and puts it down to rest that she offers him water and his washed face apears before her. And then they take th bak entrane to GH so as not to spread mud in the hosue but what happens is the stopped water results in the hand pump session.

So is Khushi is already seeing Arnav in a new light and she has taken the back entrance t GH, soon time will come for the truth to be out at GH is it not?

The scattered chana reminded me of their first meeting - when he broke her dori and scattered her pearls - white (chana looked like blak pearls). Then he had begun to destroy her purity, today he has begun to destroy the blackmark on her name. That day the pearls remained scattered and it was he in whose pocket 2 remained. Today they both began to pick up and it was she who retained a few in her hand.

That day Khushi came home to be acused of her sister's wedding breaking and being humiliated in public. And Shyam had entered her life.

      What awaits Arnav now?

The next big incident after that was the mannat ki chhabi incident.

SN: When Arnav started to speak and stopped midway with Khushi - was it because he did not want to again remind her of how she had hurt Di / blame her like the last time inadvertently?

    2. Did Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada just prove Arnav Singh Raizada wrong by walking away from the riches, status and omforts she could have eventually had as his wife (he knows she accepted him as her husband wwhich means she is now Mrs. ASR). Did she just give him irrefutable evidence as to how for her it has always been about him. What she claimed earlier about being quite for Di was indeed true.

And that it was him who was hasty abotu the wedding with her. Him who did nto give her a chance, did not ask her once?

      Delete
    3. Sandy ... oh yes, she did indeed. Walked away from not only the wealth, the power, the status of being Mrs ASR ... but also from the man who has accepted her completely as his wife ... walked away because of her own principles and because of the upheaval she will bring to his life Yes, for her it is and has always been about him.

So why did she lie? Because the contract is not yet over?

We had better get a monologue from Khushi about her feelings soon ... although for the regular SP audience, the contract marriage is enough reason ... the traditional audience will be happy that the marriage is not consummated till the full pheras etc take place, and the analysts will keep debating whether it was her principles, her unhappiness about the Di factor, or her own self respect.

  35. Ladies - so basically:

Nani - everyone loves - the one complete character - she loves her granddaughter but stands by what is right. And she accepts Shyam is the creep.

Anji - insecure, confused, wants reassurance from her brother, wants her old world back, still not sure about her husband, sure he is a good guy and so is her brother, so where is the de-link? could it be KKG - CV have left a window (actually 'windows' open for future)- grey/black/white? - probably white in the end but grey for now (i for one really don't care as long as ODG&B don't get assassinated - character wise)

ODG - finally realizes she cant take it anymore - not the hate and the fights, but the love and attention - not without full 'right'-after all she is going all weak inside ;)

ODB - feels finally all is well - He has told half the people half the truths and hence created a world of semi-IPK-story-line literate people who will defiantly come back to bite him! -
In his mind - Di is happy and ODG is his - but he knows in his heart of hearts that something is still wrong hence will end up at her doorstep before the day is out!
SN- ODB - please tell the truth and nothing but the truth to all concerned once and for all - i really cant keep defending you about your RTR any longer - tell everyone everything and then woo your wife in earnest!!! And please you are a grown man - don't come back with with lines like - i feel 'something for her' 'farak parta hai..' but don't know its love!! seriously - use your brains!

Payash - actually am too angry with Akash - so he grows a backbone but a crocked one! - still thinks ODG was to blame (and Payal apologizes, which would have been fine had he apologized as well!)

finally i think we are very generous people and love the show too much - we actually 'talk out' our grievances with the CV and start liking what ever is happening!!- we really are HAA!

  36. Dia,
My take on some points.(It was a perfect episode for me.)

‘ Arnav's quiet satisfaction again ‘.: When Khushi took a step forward, Anjali sensed it and said she is going up to her room now for resting. You can look at this two ways: 1. She said it only for Chhote’s benefit, she is only trying to show him that she will accept Khushi.
    2. Anjali has not really forgiven Khushi, because she is not fully convinced of her innocence. But she is happy for Chhote and will try her best to genuinely make up with K. She needs a bit more tme….
Dia, if you look at ASR’s expressions here when he notices Anjali moving away when Khushi takes the first step, there is an element of surprise. I don’t know if it REGISTERED FULLY, because Khushi immediately tells Payal that di talked and he has that quite satisfaction look.

‘Either Arnav has selective amnesia, or he is purposely telling Anjali only part of the truth’:

Dia, I feel it may be neither. Remember we were discussing about love at first sight. ASR really does not know when the ‘love’ happened, he only remembers marrying her in hatred and anger. But he remembers love happened after that, despite that. This is what he told Anjali. There is no amnesia, and he is not lying for his sister's sake. And he is a man totally in love.

‘Though Akash still thinks Khushi is at fault.’: He is just burying the issue, not willing to face it and discus it in the open. As you said,” No, the cracks have just been papered over ... not repaired or filled. “

Sigh….On Anji:”her position unchanged, the Queen Bee.”: *lol* My white Anji hidden undera grey veil is your greyish black queen bee!

    Khushi says goodbye:
Last time she carried so much stuff and now she is leaving with a small bag and taking DM back with her. Not a good sign.

I still feel the real reason for Khushi leaving is not the contract. If it was only the contract, she’d have brought it up and cleared it.. And she had made up her mind to leave even before the contract came up. And that reason has not changed.

Arhi knows each other perfectly regardless of what they seem to be saying to each other.
Khushi knows he loves her and that is the reason he will not let her go.
If you believe this, everything that happened yesterday makes sense.

My take on RTR down below.

So I went searching on chickpeas…..

This looks like a lot, it was much more. All this looked too beautiful to get edited out further.
    http://wahiduddin.net/mevlana/chickpea.htm

Look at a chickpea in the pot, how it leaps up when it is subjected to the fire. At the time of its being boiled, the chickpea comes up continually to the top of the pot and raises a hundred cries, Saying, "Why are you setting the fire on me? Since you bought (and approved) me, how are you turning me upside down?"

The housewife goes on hitting it with the ladle. "No!" says she: "boil nicely and don't jump away from one who makes the fire. I do not boil you because you are hateful to me: nay, 'tis that you may get taste and savour, So that you may become nutriment and mingle with the (vital) spirit: this affliction of yours is not on account of (your) being despised. You, when green and fresh, were drinking water in the garden: that water-drinking was for the sake of this fire."

She (the housewife) says, "o' chickpea, thou didst feed in the springtime: (now) Pain has become thy guest: entertain him well, That the guest may return (home), giving thanks (for his entertainment), and may relate thy generosity in the presence of the King, So that the Bestower of favour may come to thee instead of the favour, and that all favours may envy thee.

Continue, o' chickpea, to boil in tribulation, that neither existence nor self may remain to thee. If thou hast (formerly) laughed in that (earthly) garden, (yet) thou art the rose of the garden of the spirit and the (spiritual) eye.

If thou hast been parted from the garden of water and earth, (yet) thou hast become food in the mouth and hast entered into the living. Become nutriment and strength and thoughts! (Formerly) thou wert milk (sap): (now) be a lion in the jungles!

By God, thou grewest from His (God's) attributes in the beginning: go back nimbly and fleetly into His attributes. Thou camest from the cloud and the sun and the sky; then didst thou become (diverse) attributes and ascend to heaven.

Thou camest in the form of rain and heat: thou wilt go into the goodly (Divine) attributes. Thou wert a part of the sun and the cloud and the stars: thou becamest soul and action and speech and thoughts."

When, from (having endured) bitterness (self-mortification), thy heart is filled with blood (like the grape), then thou wilt escape from all bitternesses

    1. The chickpea said, "Since it is so, o' lady, I will gladly boil: give me help in verity! In this boiling thou art, as it were, my architect: smite me with the skimming-spoon, for thou smitest very delightfully.

      I am as the elephant: beat and brand my head, that I may not dream of Hindustan and (its) gardens;
      So that I may yield myself (submit) to the boiling, to the end that I may find a way to that embrace (of the Beloved);

The dame says to it, " Formerly I, like thee, was a part of the earth. After I had drunk a (cup of) fiery self-mortification, then I became an acceptable and worthy one. For a long while, I boiled in (the world of) Time; for another long while, in the pot of the body.

By reason of these two boilings I became (a source of) strength to the senses: I became (animal) spirit: then I became thy teacher. (Whilst I was) in the inanimate state I used to say (to myself), 'Thou art running (to and fro in agitation) to the end that thou mayst become (endued with) knowledge and spiritual qualities.'

      Another interpretation: (simpler):

Unusual events should sometimes be interpreted in a manner similar to interpretations one would use when one examines the "dream world.”

You may be suffering. You may be worried right now, afraid, grief stricken, angry, and so forth. The apparent world is filled with things to cause rage, grief, doubt, happiness, entertainment, boredom, fear, and many other emotions. Those things are meant to distract you from why you were born. Those things are meant to help make sure you do not recall where you are from and where you are going.

    2. This is a sufi poem.
The dame is DM and Khushi is the chick pea.

Looks like there is a lot of boiling coming up.
Bitiya will boil. Bitwa will jump in and boil with her. We will all boil with them.

…..RTR……. It is coming up.(Expect it only after Shyam comes) They’ve not scrapped it!

      Dia,
I hope it didn't look like I had to explain it to you. That was not the intent.
Look at this:"" Formerly I, like thee, was a part of the earth. After I had drunk a (cup of) fiery self-mortification, then I became an acceptable and worthy one. For a long while, I boiled in (the world of) Time; for another long while, in the pot of the body."

Isn't that a real description of DM?
      In a sufi poem!!!

Meant this:"at the root, every religion is the same."
Sorry if anyone's religious sentiments are hurt. Never meant to.I was just wondering, if someone who knows sufi poems well chose this (chana spilling on ASR), because it fits DM and K perfectly.
      Sorry again...

  38. The last time he saw her buy channas, he had nearly gone crazy thinking he had lost her forever although she was just fine. Ironically, yesterday he got her the channas right before she was preparing to leave him for good although he is blissfully unaware of it.

He teased her than she needn't go down on her knees to accept him as her husband. He will soon be the one to go down on his knees to ask her to be his wife.

Finger crossed for that. I have wanted a scene Where he goes down on his knees and formally proposes her with a ring and all.... I don't want him to beg her to be his forever but just tell her exactly what he feels about her. Tell her that he has many flaws and he knows he is a difficult person to live with but only she can complete him.... Tell her how he has always loved her even before marriage and how the emotion, the sentiment, the feeling had only deepened with time. Want him to confess every nuance of his bitter sweet pain that he feels for his lady love and ask her if she would be his for this life and many more and accept him with all his flaws....
I so so want this to happen. Although it is cliched and filmy but still i want ASR to once come out with his true feelings for her...

    2. I want a scene as intense as the car scene ... when Arnav thought he had lost Khushi to Shyam, and his anguish there befoe he turned firmly back into ASR.

Now Arnav's anguish when he realises he has lost Khushi to ASR, and no one else. And his RTR begins. Till now, he has had it too darn easy ... bitiya fell into his arms at the slightest opportunity, and forgave him everything without being asked. Now let him work his way down that road.

  40. I was watching the marriage and post marriage scenes.. and oh boy, HOW much do I want that RTR now!!! in comparison to just HOW much he has tortured her after wedding, his simple "I trust khushi" and slapping shyam for doing battameezi with his wife.. AND accepting khushi as his wife just isn;t justified!! I was the one who didn't want RTR soo badly, but now...I soo sooo want it!! The fact that even after soo many tender moments b/w ArHi, those scenes are still able to get me goosebumps and make me angry at ASR proves that he has not completing healing the wounds he gave her.. started, yes.. but not completed yet..

I want a looong one..and I want khushi to be strong as ever..because this is just the last and final time, after this, he will never repeat the same mistake again...but for now, he has to learn..

    Karma bites.. :))

    1. m totally with you on this one Mads...was watching post khushi-shyam engagement scenes on weekend...this guy was literally cold-hearted that time...the lehenga which he presents as a tip, as she n her fiance can't afford it (i know it was his jealousy, but her tears still effect me so much)

the gifting her favorite necklace to LA...forcing her to plan his engagement... OMG....

he is taking it all so lightly.....not an ounce of guilt or reflection on his past behaviour.....he needs a big jerk to wake him out of his love slumber...and khushi is about to give him just that.....

    2. OMG geetu, I had totally forgotten abt those bits... but chalo, I will still give that all to him.. because to his credit, he had not accepted his feelings for khushi then.. let's say that was his way to retaliate because she was affcting him soo much and he wasn't liking it.. something like, you know, when a mosquito is continuously buzzing around you and you aren't able to get rid of it and yet unable to snap it and kill it.. something like that..

but post wedding he has been beyond torturing.. he truly WAS like the beast from B&B.. if I had my way, I want hm to erase EACH and EVERY hurt that he has given her post wedding coz of his MU ... and assure her that many times that he indeed has always loved her and will always love her..body, mind and soul..

Will she tell Arnav something to that effect if he makes that threat again in desperation...will Arnav have a eureka and realise he has nothing to hold her back with...the pagal actually leaving the R riches?

"Would any woman be happy to see her brother be so deeply in love with a girl who she thinks is even slightly capable of breaking up her own marriage and then setting her sights on her brother? Would any woman be truly happy to see her brother in love with such a woman?

If the answer is yes, that Anjali can accept a loose character woman for her brother, then I will accept that Anjali is genuinely trying to reach out to Khushi." :

    Dia,
Please bear with me one more time.

Anjali is happy that Chhote has found love.- White Anjali.

She is NOT happy that girl is a suspicious character like Khushi.- White Anjali.

She will not judge her yet based on her suspicions because she has no proof.- Anjali whiter than ASR because he did kick out Shyam without a fair trial.- White Anjali happy for Chhote, cold towards Khushi.

Shyam, if he manages to convince Anjali that Khushi is a loose character- ANGRY RED Anjali who will kick out Khushi for she cannot stand a vamp in Chhote's life- if she feels Chhote is under Khushi's spell she will try all the tricks in the good book to make sure RM is rid of this nemesis.: WHITE WHITE Anjali under a grey veil.

Why is GH and DB and Akshay upset over IF reactions to Anjali?
What is DB trying to say?
Anjali is white. Give her time to recuperate.

If she is grey now, she will be grey always.
If I've not totally irked you, please, Dia,

Can you answer this question for me?

What is going to change in the future that is going to make Anjali accept Khushi any time in life even if she is convinced of K's innocence?
If she is possessive about Arnav now, she will be possessive about him all through his life. Does that mean Khushi will have to live with a jealous, possessive SIL all through her life?
Does that mean Anjali will always remain grey or black in Arhi love story? Or even if ASR tells her off, isn't she still going to be jealous and conniving?

    1. su, jumping in to relpy because i loved your first part..
what will happen in the future? shyam will convince anjali that he is white. he paints khushi black..and anjali beleieves him, leaves with him.. later something convinces anjali that shyam was entirely black.. so she becomes besahara etc, her worst nightmare.. and khushi picks her up from the pits of hellwhile arnav remains unaware... and brings her back to arnav..never telling him the full story of anji's turnaround. hence she will always be grateful to khushi, not conniving ever..
cheesy, i know, but this is a bollywood masala serial, and this will happen i am almost sure :D

I am sorry to jump in and pardon me for that....
Dia will of course answer ur question but I loved the way u put the questions....so i am butting in....

Ur questions to Dia, for me actually describe this entire dilemma....

My first premise and i stand by it, irrespective of how ANji turns out is that there can be redemption all around only if everyone recognises that relationships, close bonds are not comparable...it isn't fair to anyone...
If the story is going to be about Arnav learning to balance the two relationships in his life....sorry it will never happen...these can't be put on a weighing scale for balance....one will end up getting the short shrift or will end up being stressed or feel like a thief or the like...

    4. Su, quick answer to question one, the rest I need to think about more ...

Anjali will accept Khushi's innocence when she realises that Khushi has been as much a victim of Shyam's evilness as she, Anjali, has ... maybe even more so, and because of Shyam's manipulations, Khushi has been a victim of Arnav's anger and hatred, and of her own, Anjali's own mistrust as well ... and that will happen only when Anjali sees the full face of Shyam ... including his attempts to murder both Babuji and herself, and his attempts on Arnav's life ... especially the last. I have always felt Anjali will never be able to forgive Shyam for endangering Arnav's life ... there the sister will triumph over the wife. Besides, there too, it will be shown that Shyam never loved Anjali, only her money ... so Khushi is actually responsible for saving both Arnav and Anjali from Shyam. Then and only then will Anjali be able to accept Khushi fully.
Which means Anjali's RTR is even longer than Arnav's.

      Rest tomorrow ;)

also, he was stylish when he was the boss in his office.. that aura of power is absolutely necessary for a man to look stylish..

i can assure you there was not even one incident after his marriage when he had that aura of power.. when he told off some random groom in khushi's locality, he was just a hero... when he was mouthing off to his KNs and beating them up, it was just hero-giri.. when he hugs, pushes, pulls, chases khushi, that is hero-giri too.. yes, i am saying that ASR and his I-own-the-world look has been lost really long ago.

How is Khushi's culpability higher than Payal's in his case. Its the same at the most...
