She lied because she had to ... he wouldn't have let her come otherwise ...

She needed to get away from that atmosphere at RM, where everyone was treating her like a criminal, where whatever she did with the best of intentions always went wrong, where she felt guilty for just existing, for just being there ...probably the first time she did something because she needed it, something for herself ... she feels so guilty for doing something for herself, that she can't even face him when she says it ...
And his face softens instantly ... he's seen the treatment she's got from everyone, he does understand ... but why didn't she tell him?
Would he have let her come if she had told him? Even when she came on her birthday, he was angry ... just the night before he had threatened her that she had to stay at RM till the contract was over ...
And he sees the truth of her words, and is instantly apologetic ... the man who had to struggle to say 'sorry', now says it so easily, when it comes from the heart ... 'I'm sorry, Khushi ...' sorry that he didn't realise how bad she was feeling inside, how much she needed that break ...
And she says sorry immediately back in turn ... sorry that she lied ... but now the air is cleared between them, the anger gone, time to say goodbye ... 'you go home, in thirteen days everything will be all right ...'
And he's confused again ... the contract is the last thing on his mind, because it stopped having any meaning long ago ... 'why thirteen days?'
And he reaches out again, desperately trying to understand ... desperately wanting her to trust him, lean on him, share her fears with him ... 'what is it that you're still scared of telling me? You know you can tell me ... ' holding her shoulders, trying his best to reassure her, he's with her every step of the way, doesn't she know that?
But she can't ... she's too scared ... that the contract does mean something, that her time is really running out ...
Once he was scared to confront her about Shyam, scared that if he did ask her, she would confirm his worst fear, and say yes, she did love Shyam ... and that would have broken him completely.
Now she is scared to bring up the contract in words, scared that he will confirm her fears, and say, yes, the contract is over in six months ... scared because that will break her completely ... so she prefers to run away from that fear rather than face it.
"We need to go out ... Buaji will be worried ...'
And she steps away from his hands holding her, withdraws again ... before he can throw her off ...
And he gives up ... but only for the moment ... he's not going to stop trying till he finds out what exactly is bothering her so much ...
To a worried Buaji, who asks 'is everything all right?' he can only answer a doubtful 'shayad ...' he will fix things, but he needs to find out what needs fixing ... so far he hasn't ...
And Khushi looks at him ... has he accepted then? Her withdrawal, and the reason for it?
He hasn't ... at the door, he turns back for one more try ... again reaching out ... 'tell me what's wrong, I'm with you ...'
But she's too scared ... 'nothing is wrong ...' and yet everything is wrong ... he has to find out some other way, because she won't tell him ... everything is wrong because she's shut herself off from him ...
Unsaid ... He - reaching out, trying to bridge the distance, but he doesn't understand the reason for the gap. How would he? He says things he doesn't mean in anger, he brought up the contract matter in panic to stop her, but the contract itself, and especially the six month clause, stopped meaning anything to him a long time back. He doesn't dream that it still means anything to her, that she could still believe it was valid. He's tried to show her in so many ways that he has accepted her completely as his wife, and himself as her husband. But it does ... karma bites ... so many times has he said things in anger, done things in anger, meant every word and carried out his threats, that now she can't dare to believe in anything any more. But he doesn't understand that yet ... although this time he's trying desperately ... trying again and again to reach out ... but she is trying equally hard to withdraw.
She ... So many times has he hurt her, then melted, made her feel special, wanted, loved ... and then gone right back and broken her heart all over again. And the last time was the worst ... the straw that finally broke the camel's back. After going through hell only for him, almost losing her own life, then given a glimpse of paradise ... he wanted her, he trusted her, he loved her ... only to have it snatched back so cruelly ... 'all this happened because of you ...' and the contract still holds ... 'you have to stay here because the contract still holds ...' Unsaid ... you have to leave when the contract is over.
Is she to believe the words that he keeps repeating every time something goes wrong? Or the love that he shows her in his every action?

But now he's taken it back himself, and she has only twenty four hours ...
'Okay, so what will you do? Do you need my help?'

dream seq was good....but she is still thinking of all the money as an ehsaan, shows how much his gold-digger comment has hurt her.......though she can give her life for him, but doesnt want his money at all.....ok...dream seq of the pre-office track happened today....i guess they'll sign one more contract like the work for 15 days one....and she will work with him for the rent money....and he'll use all the tricks to keep her closer this time...oh m so looking forward for this track

Mami was confusing, she was scared and the only person she can think if is LQ.....dint go to Nani who has been with her longer, even Anjali who is like her daughter.....anyways, me not bothered, it was ok...atleast Mami trust her that much....

Chalo koi nai!! will watch till I can. Good thing cvs at least pondered few seconds on khushis pain. "hum unki patni nahi rahenge" pain was evident. It also reminded me of "unka chehra nahi dekhna parega" after she left AR. This pain should be 10 folds in ASR but nahi banda is smiling with overconfidence. *sigh*

DeleteI too did not like that Bitwa is back to gloating and showing his money power and Bitya is back to grovelling. Nothing seems to have changed in the last one year. I so hate this inequality in their relationship. Love and marriage is not about winning challenges but about working things through. There are no winners or losers in love. The day Bitwa realises that will be the day he would have redeemed himself for me. I guess that can happen only when Khushi opens her mouth and voices how much pain he put her through with this stupid contract.

Deleteand Rekha for a man like its hard to comprehend. they have to let him know what his ego of money and power did it to Kushi.. his real jaatka is going to come when at the end of the 12th day K refuses to come to him, stating all the reason we want, telling him that this is reason why she can't be with him, he can't understand her feelings, that money never mattered, he needs one more Guest house moment thats when she will blast him and he will know the depth of the hurt he has given her...
now for him its just about the contract and wining her back, but he has know that the reason K is away from is not contract but the fear that he might break her heart again when things go down, its his temper she fears .. when bitwa will understand that, he will walk on RTR and like geetu said for K to get him back from his peetal bartan she has to have a saada haq on him and this is what will get her that, maybe at the end of 13th day he asks her to marryhim again. and then walks his RTR.

Aaru problem is I have waited too long. Its draining. Moreover Sanayas dejected response about khushi was very alarming. Last time she stated something like this was when OTT drama was going on and on and on.

I was fine with ASR ordering her to cut the cake or take the gift. Even blaming her for everything in his anger and messing things up with the contract thing while trying to say sorry. That's him but after recalling how he forced her to marry and stay back with him, first reaction of banda is "tum apne aap ko smart samajhti ho" and smiles. I am sad VERY VERY sad.
If ASR at his cruel best would feel mirco pain of his sister ... why can't this very ASR with no shred of cruelty go talk with his wife. He is freaking 28. A grown up man, whatever maybe the age of his sanka devi.
Point I am trying to make is, this serial is running for over a year now .... there are lots of questions that needs to be answered ... too many loop holes. Instead they are creating more.
And what's this drama of suspense ... at the end we don't really get anything out of that suspense. This is a love story .... just show the damn thing.

If I go by Disney B&B, IMO (Dia and I discussd this on a post earlier this week), the last day of the contract will be the day the Beast breaks down pining for his Belle and Belle will come rushing back to him seeing his condition. And as the last rose petal drops, she confesses hr love for her and realizes he is also her Prince Charming!
But in the interim, the Beast's true nature would have been revealed to the villagers and he will be attacked and find himself lonely.
For in his effort to win her back his style, he is going to have to see her suffer and be unable to do anything about it because she wont let him.

The man is able to talk to his sister whom he has lived with all his life with difficulty. He has not told her all the depths of his heart. And we expect him to do it with Khushi in one year especially after spending a lot of that time in hating her and pushing her away.
The panag was the month of KN track which has tested patiences really high. So now on I am praying the pace steps up like at the time of Shyam reveal and after till ME. SI is also back from leave which could explain yday and today's slow epis and maybe one more tomm.

when has khushi actually let him out openly and completely her pain?! she hasn't let him know what all she has gone through because of him, except the one time after marriage when she said that he made her an orphan all over again..but at that time bitwa was in no mood to sympathize with her, he had his own issues to deal with.. so apart from the one time, she has never let him through into her heart to tell him EXACTLY how much pain his words have cost her.. and bitwa is definitely NOT the kind of guy who would understand these small things on his own.. quite the contrary..as it is, men are fools when it comes to understanding things like this and ASR, the biggest of them all. true, he can feel anjali's pain at his cruel best, but that's because he has lived with her for soo many years..and let's be honest, anjali is sooo transperent that anybody can read her pain, even a person who is 10X ASR.. whereas khushi can mask her pain beautifully if she wants to..heck, if her amma-bauji and buaji didn't know how hurt she was after marriage..if she didn't let them or even payal into her pain..how can poor arnav know that?! Sure he loves her, but he is yet to understand her and know her completely..but he has started to see behind the mask, which is why its becoming more and more difficult for her to stay away from him...
now coming to yesterday's epi.. acc to bitiya, the crux of the matter is that after all that has happened, it is still a contract for him, so its better that she starts consoling herself from now itself in order to avoid the future pain..which is why she is staying away.. however, she hasn't let out in many words to HIM why she is leaving.. because she is sure he won't understand.. while for bitwa, its more about the fact that she is upto her usual nautanki..and playing along that just because 6 months is over, she is leaving..he had told her once to stay till the contract ends, so now that the contract is ending, she is leaving.. in his mind, he doesn't realise the pain that he has caused her because of his words..TBH he never realises the pain he causes to people by his words.. and especially from the story he recounted to NK, he knows that no matter whatever he throws at her, she bounces back again.. so he is confident that khushi has the strength to forgive him yet again for his actions and love him despite that.. which is why he is very cool about this whole thing and thinks of it just as a challenge..
the point is that they both need to understand and see where the other is coming from...they love each other for what they are...but that's not enough to lead a civilized life.. they need to understand each other too...and I hope by the end of this track we will get that..bitiya will understand that she doesn't need to do everything alone and that she can let her heart out to the one person that matters to her the most...and bitwa will understand that its not about challenges or winning...its about her needs and desires.. :))
uptil now, they couldn't go beyond the swinging b/w love and hate to really decipher each other...most of their energy went in trying not to love each other despite loving each other...and then when they finally acknowledged to self that they do love the other person, shyam fiascoo and anjali dramatics took an ugly turn, which is why they, especially khushi retracted again.. now that everything is calm again AND when they acknowledge that they love each other, they can go beyond and start deciphering each other... :))

If nothing slse I wanted Khushi to call off his bluff by telling him that since he is not willing to help her, she and her family will move on to the road. She should warn him to be be prepared to face the neighbourhood's comments of how the rich damaad of the Guptas is miserly and heartless to let an ailing man and two elderly women fend for themselves.
I know I will not get to see it but I guess I'll just imagine Arnav rushing to prevent his family (yes, her family is now his) the ignominy of being thrown out on the road.

Today has Khushi answered when he asked her?
Has she bothered to ask him why he said what he said, challenge it out of him like before?
What prevents her? Is it the same thing that prevented him that night? - thought of not having the right to do so
Is she not in a hurry to break this relationship? (Then he was in a hurry to make it not realizing the tremors the families will face. Today she is in a hurry to break it not wanting unthinking of the outcome if she succeeded)
Every action has consequences. You cannot act, say sorry & forget it by burying it. Hence they say Think before you leap!
Arnav already leapt unthinkingly & see where it has led him.
When Arnav realized she left because of the contract & what he said the other night, his jaws clenched in anger as if wondering "How dare she?"
Did he react with the typical ASR anger?
Did he call her & threaten to break of Payal's wedding & ask her to come back?
Did he drive over & force her?
Or did he actually take a deep breath & try to reason it from her point of view.
Did he realize he had hurt her?
The words he had said in anger, he could never take back. Instead he realized he had to win her heart back again. Make her realize what she meant to him & that he indeed meant it. And he had 12 days to do so.
He realized all he had said & done to appease her had been in vain - she did not believe in his actions, was hesitating to let herself trust him. He needs to win back that trust. Make her see that he will indeed be there for her - today & always.
So the first point he chose to start with was the one she had just objected about. Me and my family are not your concern. So he accedes to her wish.
Had he not paid the rent, would they still have faced a 24 hour deadline? Perhaps.
In that case, would KKGSR have tried to solve it on her own? Yes
If she fails, you think Arnav will be happy? Or has he never been able to see her fail? Rather, he has always ensured that she never fails because he is the partner DM chose for her & DM never wants her sanka devi to fail?
"Agar ghee seedhi ungli se naa nikle toh ungli tedhi karni chaahiye" Is that all Arnav is doing perhaps?
Do we look at the money or the intent behind the act? Is he trying to make her grovel, establish her dependence on him or just in his own style showing her she can reach out to him - not because he will grant her a favour or she will be indebted to him but because she has a right on him.
And today if he has realized that his words of a contract marriage have cut her so deep, will he perhaps over these 12 days also realize the various other ways in which he has hurt her with his actions & words?
Neither of them are perfect individuals but together they make a perfect couple!
They complete each other.

To me it is about understanding them. I felt if I just went by what I saw and said, there he is money minded again, I would perhaps judge him just like he did Khushi on that terrace just basis her words.
For all the times I have ranted about how he could think low of Khushi when he has seen her and not heard his heart, today I wanted to shake Khushi and tell her after all that you have seen of him recently, you choose to judge him by that one word. (So like each other these 2 are).
Yes she has been hurt by him so many times but when she reminded him of his latest visit in anger, he immediately apologized. But she has taken her decision. Now in a marriage of 2 individuals how can it be one person's decision alone?
I thought back to the day when ASR told her "Agar tumhe lagta hai ki tumhaare hone ya na hone se mujhe koi faraq padhtha hai, toh forget it. You mean nothing to me"
The ASR today is not that man anymore.
He is still low on EQ but he will learn from hee on if she guides him.

Honestly, I was only trying to look at the situation with a different perspective.
I know Khushi has suffered at his hands and she is right in shying away. But ASR is trying and I felt I could not negate that either.
Arnav tells himself that he will win her heart back again over the next 12 days. Within the next 12 days he will make her Mrs. KKGSR forever. Till here it was a lovers resolve to bring back his life, his love and show her what she means to him and just how much he needs her.
And it is that thought which gives him that confident smile (gloating smile?). As for the attitude that was ASR all the way for me. Part of his character which will never go away.
For both Arnav and Khushi, a common thought has been the end justifies the means and if that means a little underhandedness, so be it!

DeleteI wished the CVs had taken it a bit further by adding just a touch of new understanding to ASR...even if he had said to himself"Khushi, i am so going to make u learn to lean on me", it would have let ASR remain the same yet given the added touch that this is about teaching Khushi what he is in her life...of letting her know that he is there if for her...the smirk made it look like "oh, so khushi let me see how u r going to do this alone" a world of difference in the two things but the underlying thing in both are the same, reliance on ur partner....

DeleteOh like Opti you also did not like the smirk, hmm, I actually loved it. I thought it was the confidence of a man who was thrilled about wanting to succed in his mission about making her well and truly his ardhaangini.
As for ASR going about it thinking, let me see how you do this without me, highly possible. But he has repeatedly asked, cajoled but still got no answer. Finally when he figured it out for himslf, I think he saw in Khushi a reflection of his own escapism. ANd he does not wat her to learn to lean on him. I would like to think he wants her to learn that she can always fight her own battles however not alone but with him by her side.
Yaar as for gloat and self esteem, both need to learn to cut down their individual egos a bit
Ok, Khushi always thought herself to be married and fought for her marriage correct? Then why give up now at this moment when the man is all out to assure her of his committment?
WHat is weighing more on Khushi's mind?
The unhappiness of Anjali and therefore the people at RM or the contract itself?
Is the latter just her defence / shield to hide behind the bigger fact?
Is the contract just an easy way out to convince herself or rather make herself break the bond with Arnav which otherwise she would have found it very difficult to do?
And Arnav is not yet thinking outside the contract because of what he told her that night about Di understanding and things being n the mend. He is till new to EQ and is not so wise. Khushi the more mature one saw Anjali's hurt that night and her subsequent hesitance and sticks to her guns. Arnav saw ANjali's effort as her being on the mend and in line with his view of things starting to heal. He does not know of Payal Akash tensions.
We bash Payal and Akash up for not talking to each other. But why is Khushi not telling Arnav her fears - that Di may not be totally accepting of her, not just for now but for life. That Jiji is having issues.
So they have started talking to each other, but ove rthe next week, I think what will improve is their communicating with each other and an increase in their level of udnerstanding of each other.

Rising to challenges is how these 2 always are with each other. The Khushi who always stppd up to him and questioned him has somewhere quietened down since he came back from the KNs. That dialogue she tld him today, somehow I felt, she felt she was being buried under all the ehsaan of his understanding love and husband waale feelings. Khushi needs to be rid of her ehsaan feling.
Arnav has tried now it is ASR's turn and something tells me he shall be successful :)

Ab what is he going towards, marrying Khushi for Khushi's sake irrespective of what the world is going to think and her return maybe in direct opposition to Di's happiness.
I would like to think Khushi's hesitancy is more to do with the contract than Di's feelings although I'm sure the CVs will give more importance to the latter in line with all the all-sacrificing SP bahus.
DeleteArnav for all his changes still has not convinced her or me that he values their relationship as a life-time commitment. His flippancy and challenges make it seem like a game he wants to win at any cost. We have still not seen anything which shows that he values the sanctity that Khushi attaches to marriage. There was a semblance of it in the post-kidnapping scenes but he just poured it down the drain with his dragging up the contract bit to keep her with him. Since he was the one who bit the bullet, he has to chew it, however bitter it is.
As to why Khushi is not telling what she really wants, I feel that should have made Arnav realise what that girl would have gone through for over four months when he did not reveal the real reason for their forced marriage. The frustration and helplessness he felt, not knowing why she lied to stay at Buaji's house should have reminded him of his own behaviour then. I wanted to see remorse in his face at the impact his actions and words had on her. In short I wanted him to have all the recollections shown in this VM.

I would love to see him win her back but not in this arrogance as I wasn't much of a succour for ASR's arrogance, although many seem to love that about him. His purpose may be right but I do not like the way he is going about it. Making her feel helpless and stepping in to help is not exactly my idea of how this bond has to be renewed. There has to be a clear and unambiguous acceptance on his part that it is his actions and words which has weakened her faith in their relationship. He needs to show her that he wants her for life not because she cannot do without him but that he cannot do without her.

By the way, why did Arnav not tell Khushi about his conversation with Di, if he already knows Khushi was worried on that count? He could have put her mind to ease, at least to some extent. Still that does not get him out of the woods. Now my only hope of a wolf cry from him is when he overhears the conversation between Bauji, Buaji and Khushi in GH after Bauji gets back his speech. Bauji recounting all the events involving the snake, how if he had not acted chivalrous in trying to save Khushi from the goondas after the fashion show tape leak, they may not have him in their lives. He should recounts how he nearly killed him after he came to know of the truth to which Buaji should lament that she totally misunderstood his gestures and presumed he wanted Khushi's marriage with the snake and how she forced an unwilling Khushi into it. Maybe, just maybe, if Arnav comes face to face with the magnitude of his wrongs, we can have the real agonising remorse and repentance. That is my only hope now.

DeleteArrogance and ego have always been a part fo the ASR character. If you love him, you need to love him with those traits.
He began to tell her about Di but stopped that morning. One because he was not sure just how much Di had absorbed and whether she had really forgotten all that had happened. Second he did not want to force Khushi to stay back saying Di will now be happy, I have spoken to her and so you need not worry.
He needs to make her stay at RM because she wants to else she will try and run of at the first available opportunity every time.
And he is a possessive man, so in echo of all his latest "Aur mein.." he wants her to stay back for him. And this is the one place he needs to learn that Khushi actually left for him. That it has always been about him for her though she never let on or voiced it.
I think he has begun to realize that it is indeed his actions and words which have hurt her and causing her to withdraw. Like she did the last time they retturned from Gupta house and she took of her things from his room. However this phase is also about ASR making Khushi understand that her withdrawal will not give him happiness because he is incomplete without her. Without her, there is no him...
He will go through all that you have mentioned above (in fact there are already changes in him). But I think we need to view him in terms of how he has changed, is changing and will change - what he has lost, gained and reatined from his characteristics. And that will eventually define to us and Khushi how important she was,is and will be to him.
Nothing she says he connects to himself because he knows she is attracted to him, affected to him but he has not realized it is her love for him, a special one at that.
Why perhaps because she is always loving and caring, thinking about others, giving, etc. be it for Di, Jiji but she never voiced to him that use faraq padhtha hai.
And Khushi will have to take a leap of faith that despite all he has said and done, he cares for her - always does and always has
Like UJ and Rekha say - sab jaanke pyaar kiya toh kya khaakh pyaar kiya. And once they have accepted each ither in their lives, if at that point of ime Arnav is made aware of just how he has affected her life and her family's in so many other ways, will he then not be helpless truly? (If he comes to know them today, he will just withdraw from her, distance himself from her just like she is doing it). He can neevr give her back that honour she lost on that roadside, he can neevr give her back her parents, he can never correct the reason for Shyam having found her - out of his control and then in that bebasi the man shall break down and cry out ...

i know some of you want ODB to cry in anguish and pain for what he did to her - but you see that is not in his character - what he did was not out to pettiness, he did it coz he really believed her to be wrong, not because he was right and she was wrong - but wrong coz she was on the wrong side
he realized his mistake and admitted it - to her and to nani
So in his world - he loves KKG and she loves him back so all should be fine - now he realizes its not ok! - and now he has to get it back to rights - And he will do it.
One way is to go and beg her to come back and the other way is to create situations that she comes back on her own – After all he is ASR! The man who made his own destiny – who build his empire – who never loses (except to his lady love :D)

DeleteI think problem is not with the serial .... My own expectations were totally at different scale today. Usually somewhere it match up or I do it myself when I watch it. Like when he smiles in office amused at what she said cause he knows that's exactly what his girl would say. Very apt but when he was alone in his room I would have preferred a simple touch of grief or even "I made a boo boo/a oops-e-daisy" moment, anything.
And about ODB not letting any harm to her family because it's his too ... I will be surprised if cvs will let Khushi know about it. They never close these loops and that's another thing that annoyed me.

IMO,the emotional graph of ASR had to show a more perceptible shift today to viewers.....ASR in spirit of yore but ASR in deed of today.....that's the only place where i have an issue..more than a rant..its a disappointment that when it was a sharp turn in the narrative, I have misunderstood the track (MU playing out a role here)

He has no reason to break down as yet. He is only thinking of contrat. Frhim he has nullified it and ba baat kahatam. But it is not that easy for Khushi and today he has begun to understand that. For him to breakdown like that day, he needs to have intense bebasi waala moment which for now he has not had. He can sttil act still make things happen.
He is apologizing to her bit by bit and I guess as the days go by and his desperation at his end mounts he will get more vocal is the feeling.

1.ASR wants khushi to confide in him.. he asks in full concerned husband mode.. yet khushi refuses to tell him.
2. at midnight, khushi cries.. mourning the end of her "marriage"
and at midnight, arnav smiles..anticipating the start of their 'forever'.
3. payal of the satin nighties wears saree to bed? to avoid clashing with mannnu's nightie?
4. absolutely loved ASR in khushi's dream. now that she knows what his smile looks like, even the dream arnav has started smiling :) ... she knows she has one hotwa husband :D
5. anjali... dear CVs, if you cannot make daljeet wear a bump(anjali is now 9 months pregnant, right?) at least crop her shots so that we see only her head... and a bit of neck :D dont drive us mad with her washboard tummy and make us compare our bodyshapes. you do realize that star plus serials have 95% female audience, right?

Payal is mostly obedient and moulds herself to the tried and testd daughter / wife image she has seen her mother follow. There are moments when the woman in her assers herself but she perceives it perhaps as rebellion and not her right to stand up for herself and her family. In her own way she has avoided confrontations and tried to find amicable silent solutions (unlike Anjali) for problems beseigning her.

DeleteI don't really know what to make of this episode. I can see that poor khushi is really running scared. If anyone is between a rock and a hard place it's her. She has just left RM and if she is not careful will not be allowed to stay at GH. I understand Arnavs objective is to get her back, but is the threat to her family home the only way he could start to do this. This poor girl has had enough worry in her life without heaping more onto those slender shoulders. I think he is trying to make her understand that she can count on him and that she is not alone anymore, or I hope that is what they are trying to show. Have to just wait and watch.

I thot about it later, and i am also of the belief that any realisation on Arnav's part will only cause him to withdraw....if he withdraws now, no one can get him out of that "peetal ka bartan", atleast not Khushi, who is still searching for clues unconsciously for what she means to me and she is the only person for whom ASR will come out of the "peetal ka bartan" at all.
so this will have to play out for now ASR style....but as u guys have been saying, both will learn something out of it and it my gut feeling its K who is going to learn more than Arnav for now

But here's where Karma comes back to bite him ... and here is where his RTR has started actually ... the man who said he would never acknowledge her as his wife, never give her any rights in public, now is bending over backwards to try and understand her, reach out to her, be her husband in every true sense of the word ...
His biggest vulnerability was that people he loved would leave him, so he refused to let people into his heart ... even held himself aloof from his own family, an observer, an onlooker, not a participant ... today the same man sits willingly for small talk with Nani and Payal at night ... till his dimaag ki batti lights u as to what is really bothering his wife ...
Her biggest vulnerability was her aloneness, she masked it with smiles and always tried to be the pillar of support for her family ... hoping that if she was strong enough, they would always need her ... her fear was that if she showed her weakness, she would be alone ... now she has to learn that it's all right to show her weakness to him, it's all right to lean on him ... she doesn't have to fear being alone any more, because she has him. And he has to show her that ...
The man who feared letting anyone into his heart, has to expose his own vulnerability in order to help her overcome hers ... to make her realise she is not alone, he has to show her that HE depends on her, HE needs her ... the man who feared to show anyone his emotions, HAS TO SHOW THOSE EMOTIONS TO HER ... he has to lay bare his own vulnerabilities to help her overcome hers. And therein lies his RTR.

DeleteAgree with that, but ODG has a few lessons to learn as well ... one of them being that she CAN count on him, and that what he's trying to show her. But the guy's EQ has been frozen for years ... he will need some major hits over the head to wake up.
Take the 13 days hint Khushi gives him ... he's clueless. Then he goes home, Payal and nani say 6 months since marriage, and then the dumbo's brain lights up ...
I think ... rather, I HOPE ... this is the start of the journey, which should end with them both acknowledging their mutual need for each other. Like the sangeet challenge, where she won but only with his help ... here he wins the challenge of winning her back, but only with her help ... when he has to expose his own need FOR her, TO her.

ReplyDeleteI saw a lot of ceramic jars in the Wednesday episode.
Nani tying up two jars and lots and lots of ceramic jars displayed well in Buaji’s house.(GH had those jars always)
So, definitely there must be some symbolism.
1. I thought, the simplest explanation is that what has been pickled long time back will be taken out- blast from the past?
2. Search on pickle jars symbolism: Islamic interpretation of jars:
“In a dream, an earthenware jar represents a deceiving employee who is entrusted with the accounting department of one's business”: Akash? No way! So another interpretation:
“In a dream, an earthenware jar also can be interpreted as a hard-working woman, or a servant, though a copper jar represents a noble woman.”: Hard working woman- nani? Hardly any message there.
3. Went on to search on CERAMIC JARS, because that is what it was specifically. And this interpretation struck a chord. Did anyone notice the other items that were on display as nani was tying up the jar. There were 2 other items in gold and silver- looked like pine cone replicas?

Hope I am not bugging you all with too much of symbolism. I found this really cute and wanted to share it.
4. Searched on gold and silver- lots of biblical references: eg. "I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined and try them as gold is tried."
5. Search on pine cone: Lots of vague stuff on pineal gland, cosmic consciousness, third eye, eternal life, rebirth…..
Personally, the third description fit nicely. 1st one also likely.

DeleteSHiva's 3rd eye which opened when the world was plunged in darkness is also called the ajna chakra - said to symboliz thye ardhanaaarishwara - the symbol of duality - shiva and shakti - yin and yang - the blade and the chalice. Nd the last one makes me think of Da Vinci Code and the Holy Grail - She resst at last beneath starry skies..
