Monday 30th July
It was Buaji this time :)) The KMH, I mean ... Tut tut Buaji, aapse yeh ummeed nahin thi :))
But liked the ArHi scene ... cute and sweet and romantic ...
Bitwa has some serious problems in life though ... he's left alone at home with beautiful biwi, and he makes her wrap gifts for his staff?! Such a complete waste of time and opportunity ... now I have no hopes from his 'shatir dimaag' at all!
To add to which, he goes home so that Darling Di can feed him kheer ... hey bhagwan, iss bande ko buddhi dena!!! Failing buddhi, let him grow up!
And fnally Khushi gets her own back =)) hurrah for her!!! Totally loved the frequent phone calls ... idiot man, told your wife to stay awake the whole night, ab bhugto! You do remember why you fell for her in the first place, right? Because she never took any nonsense from you lying down ... ever!!!
Wonder what he'll do when he gets back to GH ... going by precedent, probably nothing!
Precap ... so the new builder is in action ... and the mantra is, wait and watch ...
One - what exactly is Arnav up to? Is he trying to get back the old ever-fighting, ever-smiling Khushi? Or is he trying to show her that she is his wife and will always remain so even after the contract is over? From his tubelight moment about the six month contract, I would have thought the latter, but from the last couple of episodes, it seems to be the former. So some monologues from Arnav about his ultimate goal would be helpful.
Also, a line or two here and there would make all the difference. I loved the office scene, because there he emphasized - 'you are my wife, that's why I was trying to pay the rent.' Another line during the gift-wrapping, to the effect -'now write on all the cards - from Mr and Mrs Arnav Singh Raizada' would have transformed the job into his wife's duty ... and made it clear that while she's doing it as a job to earn her money, he is making her do it as her duty as his wife. The point that Arnav is trying to make is getting lost somewhere in the execution.
Two - Cv's obviously have backed off from showing Anjali as grey ... which in my mind, would have been a far more natural thing for her to be. No woman can accept easily another woman in her husband's life, and if that woman is the significant other in her beloved brother's life, even less so. Although I railed at Anjali's stupidity in interrupting her brother's time with his wife, that was much more understandable than this back to saccharine sweetness. And again, the way the cv's are showing it is all wrong ... Anjali is not shown missing Shyam very much at all, but is back to mooning over Arnav as her sole support, when she has a houseful of very loving mother-figures in support. When I was pregnant and alone for a couple of months, in my husband's absence, my mother was my biggest support, not my father, definitely not my brother. It would be far more understandable if Anjali was shown to be missing her husband ... and then looking for her brother as an alternate support, even in the presence of Nani and Mami. Her worry that she is alone and helpless, doesn't come across as realistic at all.
The initial bond that the brother-sister shared was far sweeter and more realistic ... when he teased her about being Nirupa Roy, and she teased him that her emotional blackmail worked on him every time. Or maybe I found that more realistic because that's the kind of bond my brother and I share - we take verbal swipes at each other all the time even now, we wouldn't be caught dead feeding each other kheer :)) yet I make it a point to make his favorite dishes when I know he's dropping in for a casual meal.
But before that ... the fall, the moment of awareness again, after the initial softening with all the 'payal' and 'they're beautiful' talk ... Khushi was already melting again, her anger at the biwi TV thing already dissolved, when he picked her up and carried her ...
AB rushing to the spot in shocked concern ... Buaji offering to do 'maalish', refused promptly by Arnav, horrified at the thought of Buaji's 'jadoo bhari' fingers ... Khushi picking up the cue immediately as a chance to tease him back, and Garima rescuing Arnav, and giving him a great chance to get his own back on the teasing Khushi ... 'if you insist, Khushi can do the maalish ...' =))
Loved the way Khushi's smile vanished in a flash :)) ... her tease backfired and how!!! And Arnav's gloatwa ve :))
Loved the ArHi maalish scene ... Arnav's 'what the ...' made a comeback, Khushi corrected him ... 'not what the, sarson ka tel ... best for maalish ...' Arnav wrinkling his nose at the smell :)) and then ever so casually starting to remove his shirt, Khushi's shock when she sees him stripping, Khushi's mind firmly in gutter apparently :))
But apna Bitwa is very shareef ... he only has maalish on his mind ... and 'shirt mein problem nahin hai, back mein hai ...' effectively shutting her up and assuring her he only wants maalish ... :)) so 'Come on, help me ...' a demand from crabby hubby to wife, again so naturally commanded that Khushi must be left feeling foolish at where her wayward thoughts are running, when hubby obviously has no such thoughts ... so chupchap she helps hubby remove his shirt ... one more point to Arnav :)
And then he demands 'where's your smile?' and Khushi retorts back, totally in wifey mode now ... more worried about his back so deal is forgotten for her ... 'rassi jal gayi, par bal nahin gaye ... you're hurt and still you're worried about the deal?'
"leave me to worry about the deal ... you keep up your end of the bargain ... smile.' So she does, a smile which reaches nowhere near her eyes ... she's annoyed again ...
'Should I ...?' lie down? sit? what should I do for the maalish? But she's annoyed again so she's not making it any easier for him ... 'your twenty four hours ... you decide what you want ...' I was worried about your back, but you're still playing games ...
And he does ... pulls her to sit close on the bed and leans forward ... and Khushi leans forward involuntarily ... not as unaffected by HH as she was trying desperately to be ... but then she is never unaffected by his closeness, and in her current confused, softened state even less so ...
He could have kissed her this time ... she wasn't resisting at all this time, was even ready for it ... but he doesn't want to, not till she's accepted she's his wife ... so a teasing flick of the nose and she backs off, embarrassed at what she was doing ... and this time he doesn't rub it in ... he lets the mood stay ... softened, intimate, a more natural closeness, a comfort ... as he lies down on his stomach, she helps him much more naturally, and starts with only a little hesitation to rub the oil ...
Softened mood, soft conversation ... gentle teasing ... non-threatening, not passionate ... just intimate ... 'buaji was right ... your hands ...'
She pauses nervously ... but he's still only teasing ... 'are trembling ...' he's not making any moves she's not ready for ... she continues the massage ...
More of that gentle intimate teasing ... 'you must be happy that I fell, isn't it? You would have said, he devi maiyya, good thing Arnavji got his just desserts ...'
No of course she wasn't happy ... can he really think that? She's a bit hurt that he can think she would be happy if he got hurt ...
And Arnav has been observing his wife as closely as she observes him ... now he can imitate her talks with her Devi maiyya ... the way she imitates his 'what the's ...' :">
'Di says if someone says something bad about us, then we fall ... did you say anything bad about me?'
More hurt, mixed with a bit of guilt ... she said all that about shares and news ... but she didn't really mean him ill ... 'what do you think?'
And he turns and neatly flips her over onto her back under him ... much to her shock ... 'what are you doing ...?'
'When you stay quiet, your eyes do all the talking ... Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada ... now let's see what they say ...'
And all he's doing is looking into her eyes, and trying to read them ... again intimate, close ... not threatening, not overpowering, not forcing ... passion leashed tightly, as they try to embrace this new closeness, hold the moment ... neither wanting to break it, as he holds her there just with his eyes ... reading hers, as she tries to read his ...
'So what did you see ...?'
'Accha hua hum gire ... it was good that we fell ...'
Fell ... in love? Fell on the floor together? that it led to this moment? fell ... as in every time she fell in his arms ...? All the falls that led to this moment in time ...
Her confused 'what?' only makes him smile and flick her nose again ... and they still lie there together ... a moment of acceptance ... of complete comfort in each others' closeness ...
And even when Buaji calls and breaks the moment, it doesn't shatter ... it loosens slowly ... a couple caught together in perfectly natural circumstances ... a slight embarrassment, no more ... what will people think ...? not 'what were we doing ...?' as Arnav responds casually to Buaji's concern ... 'you were right, Buaji ... Khushi's hands are magic ...' yep, my wife made me feel better ... and Khushi leaves quickly, still embarrassed ...
After this, the gift scene was jarring in the swift change of emotions ... back to 'do your job, you wanted to earn money ... so wrap these gifts for my staff ...' Only on second watch, I got what Arnav was trying to do ... give her a job because she wanted to earn her money, and a change from the first time when he wanted only to challenge and humiliate her, and also bring back the fiery fighting Khushi ... this time it was a job within the comfort of home, something which she, as his wife, would do anyway ... but it didn't come across very well ... a line or two of dialogue would have changed the tone ...I want you to do this because you're my wife, you want to do this because you wanted a job ...
And again, I found the Arnav-Anjali scene a bit misplaced ... the guy is home alone with his wife, and he goes off to feed Di kheer, because he knows she wouldn't have eaten it without him? Have stopped relating to this brother-sister bond ... the saccharine sweetness is just odd and not realistic for me ... maybe because my own relationship with my brother is so different!
And Arnav proves that his 'shatir dimaag' is a myth ... tells Khushi to stay awake the whole night in case he needs her ... and then goes off to sleep ...
Liked the first bit ... 'what can I do on the phone?' ... and Arnav's smirk at that one :)) and his grin when she gets mad and clicks the phone shut was damn cute! :"> :) She's back to fighting with me again ... life is okay :)
And Khushi is back with her dimaag, which is a darn sight smarter than Arnav's on many occasions, especially when it comes to troubling her LG ... err, Khushi, did you forget you asked for this job ... now why are you grumbling that he made you work? Is it because somewhere deep inside, you also know you want to be his wife, and not his employee? And no employee can dare to keep their boss awake at night ... that's solely reserved for a wife :)) Or did she make this plan because she was rather enjoying the attention, and was annoyed he went back home before his 24 hours was up?
So first phone call ... misfires slightly because he asks immediately ...'are you missing me?' and she stumbles ... she was, but she's not going to admit that for anything in the world ...
And the phone calls continue the whole night ... to his extreme annoyance ... and grumpiness ... 'let me sleep ...'
Not if she's not allowed to ... after all, she's his wife, his equal ...
Mobile switched off ... no problem, landline is there .... landline disconnected, no problem, send his staff to wake him up ... and he does tell her, 'sleep and let me sleep too ...' but it's too late, biwi is well and truly on the warpath ... and she's enjoying herself thoroughly ... Arnav bitwa, just give up and go back to GH if you want to sleep ...
Which is exactly what he does :)
It was Buaji this time :)) The KMH, I mean ... Tut tut Buaji, aapse yeh ummeed nahin thi :))

Thoughts:
Liked the episode better on second watch ... but there are a few lacunae which make me, as a viewer a little disconnected from the story they are trying to tell, so I would be happier if those were filled up.One - what exactly is Arnav up to? The episode:
The best was the first this time ... and this was beautifully done. Not 'hot' as the precap suggested, but far more romantic and sweet ... and this scene showed exactly what Arnav was trying to do ... and that he was succeeding. He was succeeding in breaking down the barriers between them, in getting Khushi to accept their relationship, their physical closeness as a matter-of-fact thing between a couple, thereby emphasizing that they are a couple. No embarrassment about being so close together this time, even welcoming it ... embarrassed only slightly at the interruption, but far more accepting of it, far more comfortable with it ...But before that ... the fall, the moment of awareness again, after the initial softening with all the 'payal' and 'they're beautiful' talk ...
'if you insist, Khushi can do the maalish ...' =))

that my girl Khushi u rock...
ReplyDeleteK- score 1,
tie tie phish of the precap.. bua you too??
why was bitwa facinated with her nose today??
But loved the last 10 mins...K using her sanka dimaag...
But can't understand how will khushi manao abhiyan be sucessful with khushi saatao mission?? unless bitwa wants K to lose her temper and let out the reason...
aaru, i think no one taught bitwa the meaning of MIG.. or rather, he loves tom n jerry more than M&B :D
DeleteI tell you, iss bande ka kuch nahin ho sakta ... he needs Di to hold his hand on SR also!!! Grow up, Chotey!!!
Deleteyesterday i was talking abt IPK.. and lamenting the fact that sexy bedroom scenes are happening and i cant/wont be able to watch it in front of full family (and i was right.. the moment he touched the buttons of his shirt, one auntie asked me.. "is he her husband?"...i said yes.. but i knew what was coming..and i had to change the channel and run and watch the rest off the livestream)
Deleteand the rest of the scene was soo hot/cute yet the screenplay was perfectly innocent.. and actually, its all barun sobti's fault! if ASR was some other guy(insert random pretty-boy-who-cant-act), the scene would have been perfectly normal for 8pm TV!!
and yes, the CVs have totally forgotten that ASR once had a girlfriend called lavanya and was going for a live-in relationship.. now everything is so perfectly 6-year-old-ish that i wonder about chote. ;)
"that I wonder about chote ;)" ROFL
Deleteactually IPKians are busy dissecting "him" .... Damn my tummy .... Lord!!
hi girls.. long time no see.. and shayad no see today too.. watching the maalish scene on repeat.. our bitwa is so sweet playing with his wife..
ReplyDeleteJaya hugs!!
DeleteHow are you and still on trip kya? Really miss you around.
Drool toh banta hai more for taking off shirt and putting it back with cuteness personified IMO ;)
also for his new found love for biwis naak ....ek kiss hi kar dete .... I almost thought he would kiss her eyes.
yeah.. still on the blessed trip... big jhappi to you!
Deleteand the way he asked her all haq to help him take off his shirt.. and her scrambling to help him.. has she forgotten that she is distancing herself? aaand blooper..she folded his shirt and kept it on this end of the bed.. he got up and took it from the other end of the bed!
you know, i would have thought that it would be her cheeks that got red.. and a small fingertip caress of her cheek would have hugely enhanced that scene :D
yaar bitwa's voice is driving me crazy.. i'm seeing non-bloopers!!! he picked up the shirt from the correct side! arshi deewani doing uthak baithak now :D
DeleteBless Nathaniel Baldwin for inventing headphones (google mata ki jai ho!) ....but problem hojati hai with the loopsided goofy grin on my face.
DeleteSama, you need a face mask now for watching the episodes :)))
DeleteJ, how's your trip going? How long till you're back home?
I agree, a small cheek caress would have been totally hayyeee!!! But I loved the whole maalish scene :)))
Just remembered ... wasn't this one of our shiddats when Arnav got that wry neck?
I already did a *gloatwa ve* on friday :))))))
DeleteR&R shiddats ko kese bhul sakte hain ;)
dia, trip going strong.. one (unintentionally eventful) month up, one (planned eventful) month to go..
Deleteme too loved the whole massage scene.. it was not the topless hotwa, but the intimate way in which he spoke to her.. the mike was near his pillow and he was "husky-bedroom-voicing" his dil ki baat.. "yeah you'd say this, i know you... di says that yada yada.. hai devi maiyya, arnavji ko apni kiye ki saza..." TOTAL armor-free arnav...and the way she was so aware that he was topless before her, her hesitancy to touch..her indignation n hurt when he said she'd wish him ill.. her changed voice when she asked "what're you doing?!" and he's just enjoying the intimacy, being careful not to spook her.. gosh why am i writing all this when some of us can write far better than me... but raha nahi jaata.
how many maalish scenes i have seen on tv ... never had any effect .. arshi i tell you.. (swoon)
Glad to know you are having fun - boy you really must be busy - not a word from you on the erratic clock in ODG's room - no mention of the 'nine hours left' when actually it was 6ish so atleast 15 hours more :D:D
DeleteJaya,
DeleteI was totally enjoying what you wrote and thinking ,"how beautifully written!"when I came across this:
'gosh why am i writing all this when some of us can write far better than me...'
Girl, you said it so well! Wish you had continued...
Wishing your planned eventful month goes as planned.
i've washed my hands off any and all numbers in IPK.. whether it be a clock or a dialogue, the numbers seem to be specifically directed at the symbolism experts at redux.. i specifically remember one dialogue("samandar mein two rupee coin") that sounded totally illogical and was taken as perfectly logical symbolism at redux.. and hence now the clocks, calendars, billboards and dialogues with numbers on them are off the blooper list :D
Deleteall ladies who cannot post.. try a different browser!
ReplyDeletegargi, written update:

what do u mean "cant post"?? is something wrong with blogger??
Deletehe he krish, i refreshed the site a couple score times and still no one had written anything new.. and that is somehow record! so i automatically assumed that something was preventing the R&R deviyon from posting..(here i am having problems posting from my phone, IE ,and firefox.. only chrome is kind to me right now.. )
Deletenow i think every devi is doing (*drool* *swoon* *wake up* Repeat) :D
It happens a lot with google chrome but I re-start pc even at the slightest trouble it shows &it works just fine. I do the same with mobile too. Becharas :D
Delete*drool* *swoon* *wake up* *repeat* !!!
ReplyDeleteit seems like the unfinished kiss is the only thing on bitwa's mind these days...! he loses no opportunity to get his kiss.....
and khushi's revenge... served with a smile! finally we have our old khushi. so in a way arnav has succeeded in bringing khushi back to her own self... whats left to see is how he will gain her trust.... i don;t understand how is going to manage that by teasing her to the point of harassment...
but i am just going to sit back and wait... last time i jumped gun with that rent thing, now i'll wait for the cvs to take the story the way they want....
i also liked how arnav is slowly but stedily learning the balancing act... wud be loads helpful for him in the future....
and where is everybody??? why only 4 comments????
loooved the romantic moments definitely..but somehow what really touched my heart and what wud give ODB brownie points is that even though he was thoroughly enjoying himself while teasing ODG..he still thot of his Di and that she wudnt eat without him. Very few men wud give up romance in favour of their sis. Also, this shud reduce the possibility of another mu between anji and ODB as per Buaji being ill or not.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Khushi hesitated before saying no she was not missing him. she was certainly missing him.:-)
When she called him up the third time, I was expecting ki now she is really asking for it...he's just gonna drive down there and call her bluff and thats just wht he will do..:-) Then he will say,"Ab poocho ki mujhe kuch chahiye?Ab kaho ki tum meri kaneez ho aur mai tumhara aaka." ;-)
Somehow,I think Arnav is on the right track.Khushi has faced so much in the past few months that first getting her back to the normal khushi is better.Phir senti talk baadme kar sakta hai.On the 11th day you know?
waiting for tomm.....really enjoying the serial now...:-)
sonu, di is his everything.. even after he fell, he said "di says ..." our bitwa knows no other family.. and now khushi is also important to him (swoon)
Deletehe knew that Di needed to be looked after.. with the kheer, and everything else too. (waise, i think arnav is not gonna romance his wife anytime soon..he is bringing back her khushi-ness first..like you said..and really enjoy doing that!)
i loved that the old brothersister music was used perfectly today.. forget the fact that this is a continuous serial, and see each week as its own story!
Hola!!
ReplyDeletePehle maafi.....holler sent karke hum khud hi absentiya gaye.
So 360 of ASR satao 101.
Liked the whole malish part. I liked it cause I really din't want anything under the 24 hour clause hanging. Though bitwa din't leave a single chance to make his bride blush. Liked the way they supported eachother as they moved inside the room. Also how disappointed bitiya was when she heard HH read her ankhein all wrong .... Aawwwwww poor babe.
I loved it when she called and bitwa went "mujhe miss kar rahi ho" &bitiya goes all awkward .....haayyyeee.
Having said that would it have been too hard for the night scene to have some light-hearted conversation over the phone under the pretense of 24 hour deal. These 2 egoists bhi khush aur hum ArHians bhi khush.
Just saying!
ha... finally some response... i was begining to think u all got kidnapped by Rocky and Lallan!!
Deleteheyy Krish,,
Deletei liked the episode infact it very balanced. I like the fact that kept the whole malish so cute yet romantic. How bitwa matter of factly asked bitiya to remove his shirt.
I also very much liked the fact that he thought of giving her work and make her sweat too. It brought back genuine smile in her and also ensured the fact that she work and have earned the money.
And for this very reason I forgive him moving back to RM. He is really trying to balance things out.
Poor soul was trying so hard not to sleep even after she was asked.
So lets see whether he drags or carries her to bed and puts her to sleep ;)
spoiler pics out in FB... m i allowed to post it here??? it doesnt reveal much
ReplyDeletePost the link and no comments ... those who want to see, can see ...
DeleteMe, I'm playing 3 monkeys ... see no evil, hear no evil, read no evil :)))
Dia when I think of you I think of Sanaya ... Credit IF DP :)))))))
DeleteHow cute would San be in a monkey act?
Sam, ditto...in my mind...Dia's image is that of her IF DP.....its a diff pic of San, if i may add....a profile of San that makes her look different, almost San like yet not San
DeleteHaha ... I wish ... I'm nowhere near Sanaya in looks, unfortunately ...
DeleteYep, that's a very old picture of Sanaya ... I joined IF for MJHT ... I wanted to get the links of the old episodes and they were for members only, so I used San's pic. Still haven't changed it ... I love that pic.
Hi gals
ReplyDeleteJust dropped in to say hello! Haven't seen the episode yet but going by ur comments seems like a decent episode with bitwa and bitiya HOT HOT HOT doing NOT NOT NOT.... But I love the light hearted light romantic Sangeet kinda epis so if it's anything like confident banda and flustered bandi then I will enjoy it....
Hope all are well here and everyone had a good weekend....
Hi UJ!! yes, the episode was mostly tom n jerry in the second half.. i guess they are pushing the heavy stuff further away or the sake of TRPs.. everyone wants romance now, not story progression.. so CVs are giving us romance..
DeleteHey Dia, dint connect at all with the episode today ?
ReplyDeletemaybe i dint like him going to Di, when she had given permission to stay back at GH...aur to aur gaya so alag, phir wahi bas gaya...dint even think of coming back to bitiya.....
but i did love bitiya doing a one-up on him..... 24 hours deal ki hai na toh ab bhoogto......her different ways of getting to him thought predictable was also fun...but thats about it....
looking forward to ur edit....m sure it will make me feel better...
:D
no spoilers and all, this was last week's tellychakkar interview.. scene already happened.. loving the actors offscreen here!

Arhi:
ReplyDeleteYipppeee…. Got that cute nose-touching scene that I wanted… and that too, TWICE!
I am in a very happy mood today.
Can I get greedy and ask for Khushi-rekha tomorrow?
I am not going to dissect Arhi’s actions, I am just happy there were so many cute scenes. May be I’ll think about logic later.(needle in a haystack?)
Loved Jaya’s drooling and swooning. In the same boat here.
Hay! Barn!- wanted to write this.
When did ASR stop wearing baniyans? (Actually I think he wore it only during the kidnap.)
Khushi wanting to buy baniyan last week- was that a hint on this scene?
Arnav- Anjali:
I appreciated that scene- proves he cares about his sister too. There is no duplicity in this relationship-not from Chhote, not from Di. They are just two close siblings who have been through a lot.
Another thought: I couldn’t read Anjali today. She has started wearing colours, is getting back to her old self. She has even started caring about her baby. But there were those conversations in the last two epis. Altogether confusing. Here I MUST say I admire the CVs’ guts.In spite of all the hue and cry on white Anjali, grey Anjali and black Anjali, they have decided to portray her exactly as they want. Anjali will be blurred till they choose to show which way she will sway. The message is loud and clear: WAIT AND WATCH!
BTW, Most of those Raadhe-Shyam paintings and idols are absent from Anji’s room now.
The shadow has passed? Or has it possessed her?
Totally crazy crazy thought based on what I had mentioned about Ginny Weasley and Tom Riddle’s diary. Ginny was possessed, similarly Anji is not cuckoo, she may be possessed!
Crazy, I know, but the way she seemed to be talking to the curtains and walls gave me that impression. Are they trying to show us in a subtle way that she is possessed by Shyam’s black magic? Yeah, it is just my imagination!
OK. Even I am fed up now.
Forget Anji, end with good things- the last scene- where Arnav Singh Raizada came to his wife like a homing pigeon! Ooh la la laa!!!
Su,
DeleteGoing with your GH re-visit shiddats hit rate, we just might get a 'khushi rekha' as bitiya is not going to give her LG anymore chance than she can afford. Little does she know about her DMs plans. If this happens I would like Arnav to add "mujhe uss taraf jane ki zarurat wese bhi nahi hai" Now that will be more than enough to get her flustered and all that we wished as khushis emotions when it actually happened at GH will also be granted.
Sama,
Delete"mujhe uss taraf jane ki zarurat wese bhi nahi hai" :
Ha ha ha! I'll hug you if he says that.
Waise bhi, *hugs*
I am liking Garima alot these days. The way she is quick at picking up things. Her major insecurity about society seems to have left her with both her adopted daughters married and well settled. Specially khushi. Ever since the day khushi assured her "you don't have to answer anyone you are my Amma", she has started seeing things very positively.
ReplyDeletegirls, i haven't seen the epi.....but Arnav going to RM to have kheer reminded of one silly movie "gharwali aur baharwali".....Chote ur shatir dimag was always a bit in doubt...it was a rumour by the IF girls....who are also btw wondering where it has disappeared....(par joh tha hi nahin, woh gaya kahan?)Mystery of the missing dimag.....
ReplyDeleteBTW, what was the point of asking Khushi to remain awake, when he went to sleep....a sure shot way of Arnav losing sleep.....Aaj CVs ki weekly off thi kya?
arreh nahi Rekha .....see he told her repeatedly that its her right, she is his wife. She can ask for help. He also tried to reason in his own way. Its your EGO not allowing you to ask for help. Her blunt reply "i don't want help, I want money and I am ready to work for it". So now he is making her work. He does not really want her to work but it is what SHE wants. So he is keeping it simple. Make her wrap gift &rewrap them. Keeping her awake ....now that's a tough job to do isn't it. He knows she can, already done that but baccha bhul gaya that she is his wife now. Dekha kese doud tha huwa chala gaya biwi ke pass.
Delete&Di ka thik tha na ....he is balancing his life. He can't let Di be sad.....itne dino badh toh she getting back to her normal self or so he thinks and he cannot let khushi leave either.
Sam...koi nahin....i am not mad at all.....i was reminded of that stupid movie just like that....jahan Anil Kapoor goes from one house to the other...(actually its my silly thot!!)
DeleteThese two madcaps totally deserve each other and of we are madcaps waiting to see these two....LOL
on the Di balancing act, i have my reservations....becos yeh aisa balance honewala equation nahin hain.....according to me
for it to balance, Arnav and Anji have to understand what is missing in their relationship...faith...what siblings actually want from each other....
once they accept that, this balance will not be required..this is my POV but i understand that CVs will not using this view at all...I have mentally accepted it and except for the odd rant/complaint, i am all quiet...(ok....only in a manner of speaking!!)
Frankly, I think the cv's haven't decided how to take Anjali ahead ... the Di ki Saut thing didn't work at all so they've gone back to the saccharine sweetness while they figure it out.
DeleteAnd I agree with Rekha, I also have my reservations on the balancing act ... but I do feel it's not going to be easy, if you look at it realistically. Anjali has had a severe shock, and she's clinging on to her one stable relationship ... okay ... but haven't Nani and Mama Mami been equally supportive ever since she and Arnav were thrown out of their home? Then why is it all about Arnav? And why is she not shown thinking much about Shyam at all?
I have also accepted it ... as long as ArHi are maintained and kept in focus, I will try to ignore the rest ... for ranting and venting, R&R hai na! :)))
Dia, we'll have to accept it if he suddenly decide to apparate in Rm to be with Di, but it seems so disconnected....
Deleteyesterday for a moment i thought its anjali's dream seq, and suddenly she will realize he isnt there, n then more tears.....thank god it wasnt.....but it was the jarring bit...also after the kheer feeding, he cud've gone back to GH but they wanted that phone troubling thing...
it seemed like the cv's send him back to RM just to fit the phone thingy in.....
your edit did make the episode better for me...thank you so much for writing....
Yippeee........ cute episodes (saw both Friday and today's episodes). Friday and today just light hearted Arhi Romance with some feel good moments.
ReplyDeleteI am sure Friday's episode has been thoroughly dissected and chances are I will just repeat what everyone has already said but still just want to say this it anyway. Loved 'tum kahti ho mujhe ego hai, ghamand hai, aur tumhe ego nahi hai?' Loved the fact that Khushi was in red salwar kurta when they re-created diwali FB on friday. Happy that Arnav called Di to ask about her appt. One should not forget their old relations to forge new ones. balancing relations is very important.
Rekha, I agree with you on this 'for it to balance, Arnav and Anji have to understand what is missing in their relationship...faith' I think more than Arnav anji needs to understand that. Arnav is secure in his relatioship with Di but Di is insecure about her relationship with chotey. It is going to be uphill for Arhi-Anji. Makes me wonder, if Di had said nahi chotey aap ghar aa jaiye toe chotey kya karte? Although he did go home to Di and did not spend the night with his wifey!!!! :( but glad he is making the effort to be there for his sister. After all isn't that what khushi wants as well, for Arnav and Anji to not distance because of her.
Love knows no terms and condition but Anji's love for her chotey is bound by too many terms and conditions. Anji's needs to break free of these T&C. What do we have so far -
Arnav Trusts Khushi - tick
Arnav understands khushi - tick
ASR trusts khushi - tick
ASR understands khushi - cross
Khushi trusts arnav - tick
Khushi understands Arnav - tick
Khushi trusts ASR - cross
Khushi understands ASR - at times
ASR/Arnav trusts di - tick
ASR/Arnav understands Di - before kicking shyam out yes but will he understand she needs help?
Khushi trusts di - tick
khushi understands di - not necessarily
Di trusts ASR/Arnav - ??? too insecure
Di understands ASR/Arnav - ??? too insecure
So, by the end of this track khushi needs to trust and understand her husband both in the form of Arnav and ASR while Arnav needs to help khushi understand the two sides of him.
On Friday I felt khushi had taken baby steps at understanding ASR. did anyone notice when Arnav asks for balm khushi protests then ASR says relax khushi I will get the balm and she relents and tells him where the balm is. Khushi happily argues with Arnav but she has just started to realise no point in arguing with ASR!!!!
Di needs to learn to trust and understand Arhi not just Arnav/ASR. that will not work. Di also needs to learn to him them their space. Arnav needs to realise force will not help with his relationship with khushi. But I am loving the nok jhok.
DeleteJaya,
Yup don't care about the story for the time being. Need some much needed romance in arhiland. Having said that wouldn't this very nk-jhok and romance take the story forward :)
Not sure about Anji yet whether she is going to be white, grey or black... IMO she will be white but perceived as grey....
UJ,
DeleteVery diffi to say what is white, grey or black in such situations..
Per se, the Arnav-anji scene was very beautiful in its import. especially Arnav telling Anji, i am always here for u...isn't that our simplest need from our close relationships, of being assured of that support when we need it, esp from a person who we know is sincere about that promise...
In a way,I can't imagine what can mar that aspect ever? Perhaps a need to possess it completely, is that what mars a such a relationship? Never thot along those lines really....
Yes MU can play a big role and UJ, as u said....probably its going to rear its head here too.....
UJ,
Delete'IMO she will be white but perceived as grey....':
Agree with you. I even feel the CVs want it this way!(Not because they are not sure. They know what she is, they will put her down exactly as they want her to be, just that right now they don't feel like disclosing it.)
Like I said, I have stopped relating to the Arnjali-Arnav bond ... unfortunately, the oversweetness killed it for me. So I guess I can't see the good points ... I do feel for Anjali, but imo, a woman in her position would be more worried about her husband than her brother, especially a woman who has been so dependent on her husband, and such a pativrata all through. Hence the disconnect.
DeleteAnd again, as a woman, I would definitely resent the woman who has jeopardised two of my biggest relationships, so again Anjali going grey towards Khushi is completely natural for me ... may be that's why I picked up the nuances in her response to Khushi ... because those were very natural and what I would expect. Now her clinging to Arnav, while ignoring his love for Khushi is again understandable ... but unfortunately, the over-sweetness is killing it. So while I liked the Arnav-Anjali scene per se (except for the feeding kheer bit - yeeks!!) ... it doesn't evoke much emotion in me.
feeding part was really weird ... it was almost like BS din't want to be fed IMO, maybe he had the same issues with the scene as we do.... ROFL
DeleteRekha
DeleteI guess what i am trying to say is if shyam comes back then there will be a difference of opinion between the siblings. That's the whole point of shyam coming back but the differences will not be coz Anji is malicious but coz he genuinely thinks her hubby is right. In this case although Anji is white (pure at heart) she will be perceived as grey (siding with shyam).
Dia
Agree the kheer feeding scene did not do anything for me really. I have a younger brother who leaves about4 hours from our place and is student at the moment. I make it point to make all his favo food when he comes over but I would not really sit and feed him. The only time i have done that is when he had a fractured arm. And I would never ever cup his face.
It's hatd to express but i just feel Anji is very shallow with no depth of understanding at all. For her out of sight is out of mind. When Arnav was kidnapped how many times did she actually think of him or miss him? The times when she did was either when lhushi was extremely worried or when she found out he did not reach london. So when her KP was around she was all over him but now that he is out of sight.... That's my opinion of Anji. As soon as her KP comes back she will go back to being extremely good wife again. I am not saying she is putting up an act at all but that's how she is. While her closest relations are in front of them she will do whatever it takes for them but when they are away she doesn't really spare a thought. Her brain refuses to consciously process the past but subconsciously retains it...
Dia i agree its hard to except the other woman in one's hubby's life who also happens to be one's brother's wife but has she accepted khushi. She has not even asked about her since the D day. She did speak to her on the day k was leaving but that was not at all sweetness. Having thought about that scene it almost felt that Anji came to confirm that K was indeed leaving and almost asked K to have her last breakfast in RM. Anji is in for a shock if and when K comes back. She is being sweet to Arnav coz khushi is not around. As soon as khushi is back Anji will go back chotey you have changed song...
Dia,
Delete'Now her clinging to Arnav, while ignoring his love for Khushi':
Dia, I feel Anjali is just really happy that chhote found his love. She is not too happy it is Khushi, because she does not TRUST Khushi like she did before.
She asked nani too, "Kaun sach bol raha hai, Khushi or Shyam?".
If Khushi manages to give her solid proof against her hubby, she will accept that he is at fault and whole heartedly accept her and apologise to her.
If on the other hand, Shyam gives her proof that it was all an act by Khushi keeping an eye on Arnav's wealth, she will make sure Khushi stays out of Chhote's life, however painful it might be for Chhote-what UJ described as 'Anji is white (pure at heart) she will be perceived as grey (siding with shyam). '
Again CP from UJ: "but has she accepted khushi. She has not even asked about her since the D day.":
I feel she has not accepted Khushi. She is just waiting to take the right decision. Khushi is grey for Anji now, she will decide on white or black when the PROOF comes. And she will accept K only when she is WHITE to her.
"As soon as khushi is back Anji will go back chotey you have changed song...": I am not expecting this. He has explained to her clearly that the sibling relation and marital relation will have no bearing on each other, and if Anji cannot accept that then she is black and she will forever remain black. NOTHING.. Shyam's kameenapan, Khushi's innocence.. nothing is going to change that because POSSESSIVENESS and JEALOUSY are black traits and those- Shyam did not give her. So that is not going to change ever! Arhi will have to live with this jealous Di all through their life, no matter what happens.
This is why I prefer to keep Anji white till things are clear. I don't want a permanent KMH in Arhi's life. Plus I guess I have enough heartache and headache predicting Shyam's second coming with gloom and doom written all over!
Isn't one decent villain enough in this love story? Please.... CVs!
Su, if Anjali does not TRUST Khushi, which you also accept she doesn't,... if she has not fully accepted Khushi ... which is very understandable ... would she be truly happy for Arnav to have found his love? I feel she CANNOT be truly happy for Chotey in such a situation.
DeleteI think she is turning a blind eye to Khushi at the moment ... burying her head in the sand as usual, and not thinking about Khushi at all. At the moment, she is a scared, lonely woman, who is trying to pull her sole surviving support as close to herself as possible ... and reassure herself that he is always there for her ... discounting any other claims he might have on his time and attention.
And it helps that Khushi is out of sight out of mind ... when Khushi returns to RM, then we will see what Anjali actually feels for her. Right now it's all a blur, because she is not acknowledging that Khushi exists.
But she genuinely loved Khushi earlier, so if Khushi's innocence is proved, then she might go back to being happy for Arnav to have found his true love ... if she can TRUST that Khushi is truly the girl for him. That's why Khushi's innocence in the Shyam matter has to come out.
UJ, more than Anjali going back to 'Chotey you have changed', I think her insecurities will surface again. Remember that she does not know why Shyam was thrown out, and it has not been proved beyond doubt that he kidnapped Arnav. So Khushi's story is still suspect ... she cannot trust Khushi ... then how can she share her brother, her only support, with Khushi now? More importantly, how can Arnav give his time to Khushi, when she, Anjali, needs it the most?
DeleteWe cannot forget that Anjali is an insecure woman ... she kept Shyam tied to her apron strings with her cloying sweetness and her money - yes, she never refused a single one of his demands for money, she keeps Arnav always tied to her with her ever-present threat about leaving him, going away, stop talking to him ... she has this need to tie people to herself ... and when she feels that Arnav is moving away from her, she will do her best to tie him to her again.
Uj,
Delete"Her brain refuses to consciously process the past but subconsciously retains it..."
Dia,
"And it helps that Khushi is out of sight out of mind ... when Khushi returns to RM, then we will see what Anjali actually feels for her. Right now it's all a blur, because she is not acknowledging that Khushi exists"
"she has this need to tie people to herself ... and when she feels that Arnav is moving away from her, she will do her best to tie him to her again."
Well said!
Anjali told Arnav to forget the past and he said he had moved on. Maybe he held onto some remnants f it but at leats he had faced it. IMO Anjali has blocked out her past. Just like she has blocked out Khushi, Payal, NK and Shyam. Even if Shaym comes back Anjali will treat him in a myuch more beholden to her manner than before. Constantly being around him, demanding his attention and a person like SHyam wil lbe able to take all this only upto a point or if he has a very good reason for it.
Wonder if last time too she just skipped past it all and because they neevr faced the family again, Anjali never had to face upto her demons?
Plus her blind faith in Shyam is relatd to the circumstances in which he married her which is what makes him so "doodh ka dhula" in Anjali's eyes.Especially if he saved her honour in a manner like he saved Khushi's.
Plus being the older sibling, you would feel that the younger one shoudl depend on you and not the otehr way. So you keep masking your need to lean until you have maanged to convince yourself that fiction indeed is reality.
Just saw the epi.....
ReplyDeleteOne thing that is shouting loud and clear in the ARHI massage scene is Arnav is goading Khushi to claim him....as if wanting her to say those words....U R MINE to be said by Khushi in words and deed. Khushi is doing that in deed but as always the words are very far away from making an appearance.
Found their antics entertaining but thats more to to SI_BS's credit....can't really commend the narrative for it....but hopefully it will be unraveled in the next few days...there was a certain stop-start flow to the scenes today...In respect of the wrap-gift scene, i was a bit lost in the narrative..i found the scene was introduced more to get arnav back in RM for the kheer scene.....or better still to let Khushi gain an upper hand in the proceedings....esp it seemed as if Arnav's ardor was cooling off.(i don't blame him, a man in love also needs his beauty sleep)
very eager to know what will this lead to....very hazy as of now..
Yeah, the guy does need his beauty sleep but not at the cost of his beauty's sleep. Can't really make head or tail of Arnav's grand strategy to win back his wife. If anything he is only succeeding in repelling her.
DeleteOpti
Rekha,
DeleteYou know once Khushi told Arnav aap kabhi sar khukaa liyaa keejiye - not sure in epis or promo. That is what she needs to do too. Hubby wife are like the wheels of the same vehicle. Any kind fo showing off match only leads to derailment.
Khushi in this duration will learn yhat for aall his dhamkis and threats ASR can anevr harm a particle on her family. He wil never do so by choice and will do his utmost to prevent harm. Thereby she should realize that he would never have broken the Payal Akash bond and he will nevr break their bond.
For all his claims, bonds are as important to him as they are to her. Just his way of holding onto them are diff. I thin kDia said it in her edit, he is used to people needing him and that to him is acceptance in a bond. Khushi does not need him in a obvious manner which he needs to learn of.
Somewhere Arnav is also telling Khushi, dont suppress what you feel, about me, about us. Dont give up on us yet. It is worth fighting for despite it all. He tries to tell her" despite all that has happened between us and to us and all that could befall us henceforth, to me the person Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, is of paramount importance!"
Sandy,
DeleteTO me this track is where Khushi builds her trust in her man....just like how Arnav built trust in her in the last few months....they are going to fall and rise but before this track winds up, Khushi is going to know,as u said, that this love is not for giving up but for living....
I may have issues now and then about the stop-start flow of scenes bt i have no doubt in my mind that the bond this two share is the stuff dreams are made of...
Guys..
ReplyDeleteAnjani and Kheer scene main bhi Body Double...this is too much
I wouldn't have paid attn to it but the most jarring aspect was that the BD wore grey/(almost white) socks with black trousers yaar....i wondered what happened to BS? then realised it was a BD.....
DeleteStill BD blind! Even after 3 watches!!!
DeleteThank God!
Arey, who cares about BD's in Anjali-Arnav scenes??? As long as no BD's in Arhi scenes, that's all that matters!!! :)))
DeleteVaise I didn't notice the BD's either! :)))
i noticed the BD's but was ok since its anjali-arnav scene...and obviously Barun was busy in GH :-D
Deletenot sure if you girls would read my reply there, that's why replying here.. because I wanted to thank you for letting me pour out my heart on this space and for giving your views... I needed an outlet desperately or else I would have been crying all day..
ReplyDeletewell, the decision has been made, the sister is beyond any reason or logic ... her only statement is this : "we gave you our child because you didn't have any of yours, now that you have your own child we want our child back" such a pathetic statement can neither be replied to, nor be even acknowledged.. she is ready to take all the blames now upon herself for the goodness she believed she displayed 5 years ago when she gave up her own child (ignoring the fact that she didn't want it in the first place).. she is ready to break all relations and ties if it comes to that, but she wants her child back no matter what..she doesn't have in laws..her hubby's parents expired when he was very young, so she has no family to face.. no one to be answerable to except her parents.. and her parents have totally given up on her irrational behaviour and are now telling the woman to start preparing herself to give up the child.. and the child is to move to the US within the next 15-20 days..
the woman is my cousin sister and I have literally doted on her as a child..I always admired how sefless and understanding she is and today she proved that beyond a doubt.. the only mistake she did in all of this was to delay in the legal formalities because it was too tedious since it was a cross border adoption and since her husband had to earn enough for the five of them (the two of them, their adopted kid and his parents) and couldn't leave the country for a long time due to work.. and because they believed that since its a family matter it doesn't really matter that much... looks like it does and at what cost..
today I could think of just one story in my mind..two women are fighting over a baby claiming it as their own.. finally the judge gets fed up and asks the baby to be split into two pieces and each piece be given to each women.. hearing this, the biological mother of the baby screams out that no, instead of that, let the other woman keep it.. I don't mind..as long as you don't take its life..
today, my sister proved that the relations of love and care are much more important at times than blood relations.. not only did she save the baby indirectly five years ago, but gave up on her today instead of treating her like a commodity and pulling her here and there.. as it is, she'd made up her mind to leave the decision on the young daughter when she grew up and knew the truth about her adoption.. if then the daughter wanted to go to US to her biological parents, she would have happily let her go..because it would have been her decision and she would have lived with it.. but five years ago it was the decision of her sister and even today its the decision of the sister.. she has had no say..she hasn't even been able to enjoy spending time with her two daughters after giving birth ...
my sister will manage over a period of time...she has another daughter to look upto..and to raise..time will heal her wounds.. but what about my niece? when she comes to know that she was treated like a commodity? Because my sister's nanad is never going to admit that she didn't want the child..she will say that your mami took you the because she didn't have a baby and gave you back as soon as she has one... I shudder to even think of what might pass through her mind when she realises this..
My only hope is God's miracle yet again that my niece is unable to settle in the US and insists stubbornly that she has to go back to her parents, the ones who raised her...
Anyway, thank you again for letting me pour my heart out here...my mom just had an operation, a minor one, but since she also has diabetes, I wouldn't want her to stress herself much with this, so can't discuss it with her...so thanks again, it means a lot to me.
DeleteMads,
DeleteFeeling bad for you and your cousin and the little girl.
Praying the biological mother will do a good job of raising this little girl and give her all the happiness she deserves.
I'll not make any negative comments about this 'mother' since this is real life. Really hoping and praying she doesn't make a mess of this child's life.
Don't worry about this:'she will say that your mami took you the because she didn't have a baby and gave you back as soon as she has one..'
Love ALWAYS triumphs. This little girl will realise this one day or the other.
Think of it as God's way of placing this little angel in the BEST hands for the most important 5 years of her life.
I really admire your cousin sister. God bless her!
Hey Madsie ... din't read the background but going with your post .... I think the child will be fine IF &only IF her biological mother accepts bygones are bygones and let me take care of my child wholeheartedly and does not poison her mind to get sympathy in coming days from her daughter. Later has high possibility as she knows she din't want the child to begin with, she denies it to others that's a different issue. As per your description of her first will be a tough one but if done things can be alright.
DeleteAs I don't see the adopted mother or other family members will say or do anything which will harm the kids psych as she grows up.
Wish the little soul all the best in life. She is in for a rough ride. May Allah bless her! Ameen.
hope your moms not too bad and recovers soon :)

DeletePyaarwali jhappi to you and ur sis. Remember tough times don't last tough people do. Unfortunate as it sounds but it's invidences like these that make us what we are - loving, living, breathing and decision making humans. Although the consequences have to be bourne once the decision has been made.
Your sister sounds like she is a very strong person and it is her strength that has so far and will in the future shape things up. I wish the little girl very best in life and I wish your sister finds lots if strength within herself and from her family to deal with this situation.
madsie, had read the original post but was in no shape to reply.. but seeing the cafe's response, my heart is at rest.. and yes, your cousin showed very clearly who has the mother's heart in the equation. good luck to her, her daughter( by my book, a mother does not become a mother just by birthing a child, it is the raising with love that matters more) and her new baby..
Deleteone little thing.. get your cousin to make a scrapbook-type thing with a lot of pics and letters to her adopted daughter. even if it never reaches her when she is a child, it will be a great treasure when she is old enough to understand all the grownup feelings and decision making that went into her transplantation.
good wishes for your mom to recover soon.. and prayers for the family in question.
Mads,
DeleteHope everything works out for the best....for the child specially. Please do take heart..kids are extremely resilient bunch...far more than we ever give them credit for....hopefully the child will adapt to new circumstances and go on to consider this as just an episode in a lifetime.. All the very best
Wishes to ur mom for a speedy recovery....take care..
Mads,
DeleteStill feeling so bad for the little girl and for your cousin sis ... really hope everything works out well for the little girl, who is going to be transplanted into a new family so quickly. Kids are resilient, and as long as she gets lots of love and affection, she will be fine ... just hope her biological parents are not planning to cut ties with the adoptive ones and let your cousin stay in touch with the child, at least for some time till she completely adjusts ... make her feel that both parties want her and love her, not that she is being tossed from one to the other.
I loved Jaya's suggestion about making a scrapbook for the little girl for when she grows up ... even one for now for the child to carry with her would be beautiful, to tell the child that she was always wanted and loved by her adoptive parents ...
Hope your mom recovers soon too ... this must be so worrying for her. All the best to her for a quick recovery.
Hey Mads.....
Deletefeeling bad for your niece....such a big thing, all at a tender age of 5...suddenly shifting to a new country...hope her parents make her feel all loved and secured.....and let her stay in touch with ur cousin.......
my heart goes out for ur cousin too...will pray for them and also ur mom....she will recover soon....take care
Mads,
DeleteWell a decision has been reached then. All for the best. Maybe that child was destined to live and for her to live she needed a mother which she found in your cousin sis. She has been given love and affection and whatever happens, that initial bond no one can take away.
I wish this child grows up to enjoy the love and affection of 2 sets of parents instead of one. May she have been destined for double teh joy because she is special to Godjee.
I just hope the child bio mom understands just how precious she is. She will always be special to your cousin sis who became a mum because of her and then had the fortune to have another child when she had all but given up hope. May she be blessed with this child's affection and love when the girl grows up and is able to understand things for herself.
However much you choose to hide or distort it, truth always finda way to come out - sooner of later!
Good luck to this child and may she have a smooth transition to her new life. Loads of huggs and blessings for the little one.
Krish - *drool* *swoon* *wake up* *repeat* !!! - exactly my take :D:D
ReplyDeleteOK so my two bits:
- love that the precap does not play out exactly as it is shown - precaps are abrupt -the full scenes make better sense
Loved the first part (but then that is obvious!) - loved it coz
1- i don't think Buaji was KMH today - for i don't think ODB was going for the kiss, he was flustering her and fluster she did :D:D:D
2- loved that ODG can never shuts up - even then she asked him - so what are my eyes saying!! - perfect
3- loved ODB's response - and no Sama he did not read incorrectly - he was saying "accha hua 'hum' giray" - as in us together and that leading to this... so she wanted to be close to him too is what he was saying
i know it seems ridiculous that ODB gets ODG to do silly things but i can see logic to it (yes yes - twisted Arhi logic - but logic - apart from the fact that the CVs want to create CCKKP!) -
ODB has to make her work - she has to feel she earned the money - so he makes her do things - simple things (things that wont harm her) but with silly sharts just to make them more meaningful - how hard is it to wrap gifts? - but the time limit made it a challenge - hence her true smile of victory - that's what he wants in the end remember
Plus he is also 'trying to win her back' by creating situations where they end up leaning on one another - creating new situations where they spend time together - play tom and jerry like earlier - fight, argue, bug each other - only this time he knows what he wants - earlier it just happened - he is making her act like the old KKG, the never say die KKG, the girl he loves and the girl who loved him for all his ego and wackiness - see he will say his sorrys when he has to (like last time) but right now he wants his old girl back - his sincere apologies will melt her soon enough
OF course the best part - loved ODG back in action -and sending the manger was the the icing on the cake :D:D:D - was wondering why ODB had nothing up his sleeve in response and then he did pull it out..
"Plus he is also 'trying to win her back' by creating situations where they end up leaning on one another - creating new situations where they spend time together - ...........the girl he loves and the girl who loved him for all his ego and wackiness ......right now he wants his old girl back"
DeleteMona, *hugggggs* I found my logic at last! Thanx for using your shatir dimag!
whats CCKKP ??
DeleteChotey chotey khushiyon kay pal - a term coined by our very own Sandy!
Deleteawww....thanks Mona....
Deletebtw i loved their walk back to their bedroom...both hurt, both supporting each other.....
Oh no Mona .... yeh toh MU hogaya .... Rekha darr kar bhag jayegi :)))
DeleteNo by "read her eyes wrong" I meant khushi was expecting desperately for him to say she is NOT happy that he fell. Reason why she din't even blink &this is the first I guess other than bang effect with such closeness. That's not what she got right.
"accha huwa hum gire" that was total... hayyeeee
when you add his voice to it .. thud
when you look at the two portraying it .... drool
CCKKP with phone convos ... aaahh the sweet smiles ... "mujhe miss kar rahi ho" "mere aka thik hain" "I'm fine khushi, thanks" .... haaayyyeeeee bitwa ne thanks bola :D
though I wish this continued but chalo they had to get him back to GH so lets see what for!
chote chote khushi ke pal
Deleteas long as you and i get the point right - which we did - just were seeing it from a different angles and your...
Delete"accha huwa hum gire" that was total... hayyeeee
when you add his voice to it .. thud
when you look at the two portraying it .... drool"... haha true true :D:D
i know our dear CV will make stupid jerks in the narration but i for one am enjoying this track - go to sleep with a smile on my face!
Mona ditto... Whatever it is I am enjoying this track as well. Just happy for the change from cribbing RM vaasis, happy to see smirking ASR and confused always ready to take on the challenge and naughty khushi....
DeleteSama,
Deletemain darkar bhagthi nahin...i trouble u guys here till i get my answers...i am too addicted to the ARHI story let anything in the serial actually put me off....
That was total Hayyeee moment for me too ...
Delete'kya dekha aapne?' in that soft husky voice ... Khushi for the first time not shying away from showing her love, her longing for his love ... loved Sanaya's voice modulation there.
'achha hua hum gire ...' HUM, not main ... for the first time acknowledging they are both in the same situation ... husky tone of voice echoed by Arnav ... total bedroom voice :)))
Teasing, flirting ... from both ... this was a milestone ... which is why the sudden change of tone jarred. The next scene actually began very sweetly, a continuation of the recently acknowledged Haq, with Khushi serving her husband tea, BG going out, leaving them both alone so naturally, such a sweet domestic scene ... the men with the gifts arrive, and Khushi turns to Arnav questioningly ... what's all this? Completely natural and couple-like ... and then he starts the gift-wrapping nautanki, so it took me a while to adjust to the change of emotion!
Yes Dia....agree...
DeleteAbs "HUM" as in them "falling in love" and it was Khushi, the girl who always refers to herself as HUM (lucknow style) who started this falling business at the Fashion show....
Sama,
DeleteWhy are you scaring sister of my heart bey!! Rekha, fikar not me very much here.
Hum gir gaye - I know so open to interpretation nai.
UJ,
Huggs sweetie. All ok I hope u were missing last week.
Dia - totally totally loved your edit - perfect!
ReplyDeletei too think the sis-bro act is getting too much specially when she wants her brother and not nani for support during [pregnancy - and i feel the CVs will pull something unexpected - she really cant have forgotten TF so soon - have a feeling she is constantly in touch with him hence her good mood!
oh and forgot to add - loved your description of the first part (the whole epi actually)- wanted to say exactly the same things but i knew you would do a great job of it as usual
Delete@dia, love your post as usual..:)
DeleteAgree mona! A bit too much with bro-sis relation. It's getting creepy. Iss di ko kya naam doon?
WOW cheng...ur hindi is going great guns.....
DeleteThanks, girls. I think the problem is that I could completely relate to the bro-sis bond at the start, and now I completely CANNOT - a huge change.
Delete@ rekha,
DeleteThanks to you guys! all of you are my teachers.
You know i liked that he came back to RM - (GH was too hot to handle in any case ;-))
DeleteAlso liked that he got two bowls of kheer - really sweet (though why did he say it was sugarfree - his sister should have said that - she should have made it for him - or did he get some made for himself just to share with sis?)
What i could not like was them feeding each other - there were two bowls - if they had just help themselves and talked like old times - it would have been a great moment!
Mona, true, the feeding each other was a bit too much for me to take too ... if they had just sat and shared the two bowls, it would have been sweet. The sugar free bit puzzled me too.
DeleteAnd yep, he came back to RM because GH was getting a bit warm :))) But he actually went off to sleep? I should have thought he would have taken the chance to keep her awake by talking the whole night :))) Bitwa has still got a lot to learn!
Dia,
DeleteAb aa gaya na waapas GH - raat baaki hai baby! ;)
Sugar free - acknowledgement of Di's concenr for him. yes I recall you said you will make sugar free for me and keep it separately.
I remember what you said. You and your words are important to me!
Khushi is very good at neatly and quickly bundling up all her feelings. What the world sees is her cheerful exterior (like the colourful gift wrappers). While she was engrossed in her task, she did not notice Arnav sneak away a cup from the box. Here the cup can be likened to that part of her heart which beats for him and which he has stolen. She realizes that she had failed to cover the cup only when Arnav shows it at the end after she had covered up all the gifts. In other words, she will come to realize that her heart is still with him only after she thinks she has safely locked away all her feelings. He challenges her to find the box to which the cup belonged in order to return it to its place. Since she has so many emotions for each of the RMwaasi all bundled up in different boxes, she is forced to rip open the wrappers so as to find the one which houses her emotions for him. We may get to see her forced to confront her emotions for the rest of the family when she tries to conceal her feelings for Arnav.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly, the cup makes its appearance again when Khushi is forced to drink several cups of tea to stay awake, thanks to Arnav’s unreasonable command to do so. Tea contains caffeine and caffeine is also referred to as the cup of pain because it tightens every muscle. Arnav has been responsible for the overflowing of Khushi’s cup of sorrow, cup of joy and cup of pain but Khushi is one who would not shy away from drinking from the cup, be it happiness, sorrow or pain. She will face it all which is why the guy is madly in love with her.
Opti
opti, khushi was not engrossed in her task.. arnav purposely distracted her, raised her dhak dhak, and while she was disoriented, sneaked the teacup.
Delete(and in the actual scene, we can see barun wiping sunny's lips and she smiling ... focus on the scene when khushi's facing away from the camera..)
oh yes ... SI was completely laughing and BS was trying too hard to control his.
DeleteOpti khushi is already doing all that you described except yes her being forced to accept her feelings and may I add not just her feelings for HIM but that its this emotion that matters the most than any other.
Thanks for pointing that out. It slipped my mind. Yes, he stuck the tape across her lips and she removed it in a hurry, only to yelp in pain and get caressed by him.
DeleteOpti
Opti,
DeleteReally loved this:'Since she has so many emotions for each of the RMwaasi all bundled up in different boxes, she is forced to rip open the wrappers so as to find the one which houses her emotions for him.': that is a cute thought!
Opti, sweet thought ... Khushi bundling up her emotions and trying to pack them away ...
DeleteI noticed SI laughing in that scene, and BS was trying so hard to control his laugh ... his expression was ok, because he was supposed to be a little amused ... wonder who they managed to shoot that scene!!!
Opti,
DeleteBundling emotions like wrappers - Nice!
Thats Khushi's essence. Everyone thinks what you see with her is what you get but it is hidden by what you see - just like a gift. It is only when you peel back the wrappers that you see the surprise (good or bad) they hold. And Arnav is the only one who has been getting under the wrapper / her skin.
The other usually wait for someone else to unwrap the present or for a bit of the wrapping to tear to realize what is underneath.
my two cents abt the epi (LOVED it btw, it was entertaining the way it was)
ReplyDeletebut I see no sense in the second ArHi scene (gift wrapping) or him telling her to stay awake all night and then falling asleep (felt that was a bit of a filler) or the Anjali-arnav scene by myself, but if I try to see what the CVs are trying to show then what comes out is this :
1. Arnav wants to bring back HIS khushi, the one he fell for so irrevocably, the one who would fight back to any challenge thrown by him and with a zeal.. the one who would smile, no matter what (hence his constant "tumhari smile kahan hain?").. and the later gift wrapping thing, he knows she likes challenges and hence throwing it at her and making her believe that she is working for him but at the same time keeping the tasks so simple as to not humiliate her..but as you said dia, a simple "now write down the gift is from Mr and Mrs ASR on all the gifts" would have cleared his intentions much more and would have flustered her even more...
2. He doesn't want to go closer to her physically unless she wants it and WANTS her to see that part too.. he could have easily kissed her both the times, the first time when he pulls her closer before massage and the second time after he has her firmly beneath him and looking into her eyes, she was totally caught and wouldn't have resisted.. I believe the real KMH was not buaji at all, he had already backed off with the nose flick, giving her a sign that yes, I do want to get closer to you, but if you don't want to, then I don't want to either.. a stark contrast from the earlier two attempts to kiss her when he wanted to do that because HE wanted it, without thinking whether she really wants it or not.. but now that he is hell bent on winning her heart, he thinks about her desires first.. plus points to bitwa for this! :)
3. The last ArHi scene...the phone call ones..the main part I noticed was no matter how irritated bitwa was he didn't snap at her EVEN once..not even in his sleep! :)) bitwa sure has learnt how to manage his anger.. and bitiya was just being..well, her old self! :) so bitwa succeeded in bringing her essence back.. plus points again! :)
now the next step should be to assure her that he loves her the way she is and her rightful place is as his wife and nothing less.. although how is buying buaji's place going to do that I doubt, but I am going to wait and watch..
4. Anjali-Arnav scene.. didn't see any purpose wrt anjali's characterization or POV..only thing that made sense was that Arnav is learning to balance his di and his wife really well.. he could have chosen to spend the night with khushi, but he knows he is going to do that all his life, once this contract marriage thingy is taken care of, so he chooses to do what he deems appropriate at that moment.. and it does have a good effect on his sister wrt to retaining her trust in him..
about anjali, I have no comments..I don't care anymore TBH.. :)
some tid-bits I LOVED ... *gloatwa ve* moments for me :
Delete1. the two nose flicks
2. the way those two supported each other when they were going to the room..the 'haq' with which arnav first places his arm around her
3. the way they looked into each other's eyes.. chemistry personified.. these two are the only two actors apart from mohit-sanaya who can make even an eye-lock look passionate.. :))
4. the way he shook his head and said "phir se laal ho gayi" upon her very confused "kya?!"
5. the way he imitated her devi maiyya talk.. :))
6. his first phone call to her as she is about to stuff a jalebi in her mouth "jyaada khush hoke mithai mat shuru kar dena" :)) HOW well he has started to know her and understand her every action.
6. each and every phone call and arnav's reaction to it.. :))
7. KKG's ultimate dialogue "aapki seva me hi humari KHUSHI hain" :)
I would give the epi a 7/10.. minus 3 marks for not showing arnav's intentions clearly in the gift wrapping thingy and for anjali's characterization confusion!
Mads,
DeleteTo me and many others, Gurti too made eye-locks look very passionate with their scorching chemistry. Considering this show too is from the same PH, I guess we need to give them credit for coming up with some great castings.
Opti
Madsie :)))
Delete1. That's what they're showing, that he wants to bring back his Khushi ... but I thought this was about the six month contract and winning back his wife? So the main purpose should be to show her that she is his wife and she will always be? Yes, he wants her to cheer up also, he wants the fighting fit Khushi back also ... but it's a little hazy as to what his true motivation is, and what exactly he's trying to do. That's why I said I liked the office scene, I LOVED the maalish scene .... these two toally achieved that goal of making Khushi comfortable in the 'wife forever' goal.
The biwi-tv bit ... ummm, it didn't really fit either objective, did it? ... so I will say that Arnav realised that that part was not well done, she felt hurt and humiliated, so he switched to the gift-wrapping ... giving her actual work to do, rather than just playact and be in his power ... and that's where that little line about saying these gifts are from Mr and Mrs ASR would have cemented what his actual goal was.
2. Yes, I completely agree ... he didn't want to get too close till she wants it, till she is ready for it, and most importantly till she has also accepted that their relationship is for keeps ... so he keeps it light and teasing ... and completely non-threatening ... and she is in danger of losing her senses, so he backs off. And that increases her confidence also ...
The first almost kiss, when he pulls her to sit on the bed, and she leans forward ... nose flick, she backs off, but he hasn't humiliated her or hurt her, he's still just teasing gently ... and she's all embarrassed and conscious, but not scared ... and then when he flips her on the bed, she's not backing off at all, in fact that 'kya dekha aapne' was very much an invitation ...
So by keeping it light, he's giving her the confidence to expose and explore her own feelings too, knowing that he's not going to jump on her straight away.
It's like the courtship phase they never had ...
3. Yep, I too noticed that he never lost his cool with Khushi AT ALL ...:))) it was all very resigned and annoyed husband-like ... lemme sleep, stop troubling me ...
4. I think Arnav also went back to RM to give Khushi some breathing space ... they were getting very close physically, so to slow things down a bit. Otherwise am sure Bitwa was pretty turned on too, and biwi being willing wasn't going to help his self-control one bit :)))
Anjali ... am not going to comment much ... I think the cv's are also trying to figure out her character, so she doesn't make too much sense to me right now.
Dia loved your thoughts &malish edit *whistle*. Mr&Mrs Raizada wala idea too good, perfect to make her confused again as to what she really wants &him to let her know it's them together.
ReplyDeleteThey do not make it clear why their characters are acting in a certain way other than if they are in a mood of filler. Sometimes even the ones who have seen all the episodes fail to understand. That's were they are lagging behind with TRP's because even at their not-so-good phase they stand out. The fact that they actually have a story to tell. Not just an idea and build episodes as they come. With growing complexities in the story as it unfolds they really need to keep all these suspense at bay. It's a love story. Period.
Di interesting horahi hai day by day or maybe we like her more IF we see her less ... ROFL ROFL
She did not even ask about GH. Old secure Anjali would have never done that. She would have given Chote an earful 'haq se' for leaving GH when his wife is there and her Buaji is ill.
Sama, yep, the PH needs to spell out things a little more clearly ... I saw the promo of the lamp wick show (DABH) and it's like the heroine is explaining to a five year old ... we are together, darling, and I am with you, so have confidence, you will do well in the competition ... NO scope for any hidden meanings or interpretations there :)))
DeleteThe characters here are WAY more complex, so they need a lot more monologues to explain their actions ... the general audience is not bothered to watch each episode three times and decode hidden meanings.
Di ... true, the less screen space she gets, the more we like it ... or her ... :))) And very true, she didn't ask about Buaji at all, forget Khushi ... this is the same Anjali who blasted Arnav for sending Khushi to the guesthouse, and rang up herself to check whether she was all right. So she is still very insecure, and trying to mask it ... if Chotey is there, she feels happy, reassured, and does not question too much, or worry about any other commitments he might have.
which is also the reason many of us, who are even confirmed ARHI addicts keep asking questions...the subtleties and layering are so complex here that even the ones who don't question keep revisiting and reorganising their thots on what the track is about...but thank god for that!!
DeleteSuch a run of Arshilicious episodes and no show from Sandy, BG, Gargi, Anita, Aaru, Lin...?????
ReplyDeleteBG will be back on wednesday .... Arhilicious episodes hai toh you know Sandy is under pile of work ... Gargi said she will be busy too ... Aaru always takes the first place these days, I will get to you soon Aaru ... all in good time :)))
DeleteLin , Anita .... no idea
Sama,
Deletetell me about it. Beating my brains out with people at work.
So I see the epi and bas! Thoda bahut aise hi sochte sochte kuch chamak jaata hai.
Hi Girls,
ReplyDeleteSaw the epi in a rush late last night. Crazy day today rushing between meetings and a sore throat:(
The radio maanged to do what the TV could not - garner him her attention with a smile :)
He wants her fighting spirot bak - teh girl who even in the direst of times never let go of her himmat but whose evry himmat was now seeping into despair. He also wants her to realize that this is for keeps for him and come to trms with her feelings and attraction for him. Get rid of the embarassment. Today for a moment on the bed, it was Khushi who leaned in wanting to go further but Arnav who was well awae of what was happening, put a stop by tapping her nose - because he did not want her to think he took advantage of her under the clause and the deal.
And they are getting comofrtable with each other - the physical intimacy coming naturally. The day they ae reay to move to the next step in their relationship, it will be something because again both will be equals, both wanting a piece of the other, both giving in to their desires.
Buaji is slow on the uptake because she senses something amiss with teh way Khushi landed and also did not see the multiple Arnav trips. Plus that shaayad of Arnav's is rankling within her. Garima however has no such hangups and is more than willing to give her damaad a break bcos like their last stay she feels Khushi is just troubling Arnav. Besides Khushi had assured her in the past that he is the best husband and whatever Arnav is doing now seems in line with that image Khushi created.
Arnav wanted Khushi to be creative and smile, so teh girft wrapping idea. She feels she is earning her 24000 while also not getting the feeling of being teased or harassed like with the dance request to TV. And plus Arnav gets excuses to keep touching her an flustering her up. And Khushi gets this kick of coming out tops and a genuine smile from her. He knows he is rushing within 12 days but he does not want to rush her. Plus I think he feels if he stays over, they may just give in to their desires and perhaps withKhushi's current state of mind that may nto be the best thing to happen.
DeleteArnav also is aware that Anjali is not acceptingof Khushi. He is giving her time to mend. And he ensures she is aware and made to feel he will always be there for her. The kheer, well that day Anjali got one cup as if she di not want to share him with Khushi. Arnav today got 2 cups like he would always balane hismelf between the sister and wife.
The day Khushi tells him she left for Di's happiness because she is unaccepting of her, Arnav will again set about rectifying matters.
Anjali is very like her husband in some way. Yes she is sweet and means good which is where she is different from him but like SHyam she seems to be someone who exploits others' weaknesses. She who claims to know her brother so well, when she said something like you would bring La into teh hosue just to irritate Nani, I was a bit taken aback. Plus Arnav had told her he would ditane himself from a girl he feel for and he kept doing that with Khushi but Anjali who knew it all never put it together. Because at that time, having Khushi around was necessary to her. I may have articulated poorly. I am not saying Anjali is mean but I don't think I would be totally wrong in calling her selfish or rather I would prefer to call her attitude misguided self-righteousness. She seems so convinced of her being right that she missed obvious pieces of the whole. ANd she neevr wants to take the bull by its horns.
About Khushi leaving, today my thoughts are at: it is not that Khushi is scared to execise her right as a wife but she is worried and scared that she may be made to give up the rigth once she has acccepted it. Reminded once again that she is the outsider / no-sagaa khoon like in the past despite all her actions and efforts.
Arnav thinks it is the contract but once he realizes Khsuhi's fear that she is holding back, he will defintiely take steps to set her at ease and I woul then like to see how his sister takes it. Would she complu or would she crib saying he was giving her lesser importance. The baby too for Anjali has become a reality only today after she saw the video alone and not all these months where it was the added affection that she got from her husband and brother which I think made her connect with the baby. It was the feeling of being pregnant taht had her on cloud 7 all these days rather than the feeling of giving birth to a life and perhaps that is why she found it easy to think fo destroying it earlier?
>:D< >:D< >:D<
DeleteAapka life hi itna long hai!!
"Tera naam liya tujhe yaad kiya !!"
Back to comments :))
you came, you wrote.. now i know you're on a deadline.. big hugs and wishes for an easier week ahead..
Delete"The radio maanged to do what the TV could not - garner him her attention with a smile :)" double YES!!
arnav does not want to rush her into love.. he wants her to CHOOSE to love him and accept him as her husband. he wants his khushi to have her khushi back..( and not feel like a criminal and a victim at the same time, like she feels while at RM..) all well and good, but he has to communicate that to her, right?
arnav equates love wwith need... that is the most frequent type of love in his life. di needs him .. full time mental, physical, financial support.. nani etc needs him.. to be their financial support.. it pleases him to give them expensive gifts et al, in lieu of time and proximity. interesting post detailing this POV here:
http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3123621
that tactic does not work on khushi.. she puts more importance on "presence" than "presents". and since learning the ways of khushi kumari gupta, especially after her birthday gift fiasco, where she expressly told him that "i need a smile on my face, can you buy that?" (SN.. he did exactly that) he has set out with his mission to bring a genuine smile on khushi's face... and today, he succeeded..unwittingly, at the expense of his own sleep.
anjali and kheer.. that day when arnav "gifted" her roses, anjali was thanking only him.. never even thought that he was married or his wife would be there, and she was not going to sit there and share it with him anyway.. today, arnav brings two bowls of kheer because one is sugar free.. and arnav wanted to share dessert time with her.( that is my straightforward POV)
Sandy .... jai ho Devi Maiyya, you're back!!!
DeleteHey bhagwan, why did I bother to write anything? You said it all:)))
A big YES to all ... the growing comfort with their closeness and physical intimacy ... especially for Khushi, with Arnav very gently leading her all the way ... and backing off when they get too close, because he doesn't want it under the shadow of the deal or the contract ... the maalish scene was totally Arshilicious :))) And Khushi for the first time, getting comfortable with the physical closeness ... because he keeps it light, right from the start ... 'help me with my shirt' ...
the conversational tone when she starts the maalish ... she's uncomfortable, very aware, and by his very normal chit chat, he makes it seem completely natural, just to put her at ease ...
and when Khushi is totally into the moment, and wanting more ... 'kya dekha aapne?' he gives her the answer she wants ... 'achha hua hum gire ...' and backs off again ... reassuring her that he's with her, but waiting for her to accept him totally.
Yes again to the gift wrapping - that's where the execution faltered, IMO, have written why above ... but agree with you, the TV thing backfired, she felt bad, so this was a better idea ...
I agree on the fact that Anjali has always been a little self-centred and manipulative ... till now, her manipulations have always been for the general happiness of the house, and the well being of everyone involved, so they haven't seemed so obvious ...
And agree with you 100% about Khushi's fears ... it is partly the contract, and partly the fear that if she comes between Arnav and Di, and he is forced to choose, then she will lose again ... because she has always been the outsider, the first one to be blamed and the easiest to throw out, because she never had any real claim on anyone ...
and here if she comes between brother and sister, the same will happen - they are related by ties of blood, and she is not. And she doesn't have enough confidence on her bond with Arnav yet ... THAT is what he has to give her.
J,
Deletegosh - I wonder what I have typed...!
Dia,
With Arnav like I told Krish the otehr day, he will always go wrong before he goes right. But that will be his learning. That the more he lets Khsuhi fly, the more she will fly to him because she is like the butterfly in his garden, if he hold her she will try to escape but the moment he lets her fly she will feel bereft and come flying back
Just like he said in their telepathic convo - "Jab tak main tumhaare saath hoon, tab tumse door jaaneki jaldi rehti hai mujhe, par jaise hi tumse door jaata hoon toh sirf tumhaare paas waapas lautne ka khayaal rehtaa hai"
Khushi was not sitting idle and happy once he left - no she had to think of him and how he had forgotten about the deal. Equals all the way.
Today he actually asked for her help with the shirt and then without grouses held onto her whilelimping back to the bedroom. He is gradually showing her his need to lean on her, his need for her, his need to be around her - "I just need you, I don't need anything else.."
You know with the dance, had Arnav said TV I want to dance with you, she would hav done it aaram se, but hims itting and her dancing is what got to her.
I saw what you wrote to Opti below: the day Anjali realizes the quantum of the small emotional details Arnav has been getting into for Khushi she will be surprised. A man she told Khushi is unable to handle emotions and the related nitty gritties is the most stable emotionally at RM right now apart from Nani.
And Anjali somewhere has always liked to go against her brother's wishes.
Dia, loved your edit. Agree with you that the first part is what made sense and what I loved too. The transition to the parcel scene was indeed jarring and unexplained. Would have loved if as you said he had asked her to paste cards on them stating it is from Mrs.and Mr. ASR. I didn't mind the AA scene, infact loved it. Showed that this guy is genuinely trying to balance between the two women in his life. Khushi's concerns on that front may well turn out to be misplaced if this is how he plans to go about the rest of his life. The bro-sis bond between them is not likely any normal one given what they are supposed to have gone through together. So one has to evaluate it in that context. It (their bond) may be a bit unnatural but I don't think it is impossible. I always wanted Anjali to remain positive and am not too unhappy where it is going. The way they have shown her character so far, she did not come across as someone who can hate a woman like Khushi only because she happened to be her hubby's love interest. If things are made to sink and she is allowed to connect the dots (which I'm not too sure considering that our smarter Arnav never bothered to connect the dots right up to the end), Anj should realise Khushi is more a victim rather than a manipulator as her hubby had picture her to be. The disgust then should rightfully be reserved for the man who cheated on both of them. Considering how sensitive to other's pain she was before, I find it hard to digest that she would remain self involved for long. Initially, yes. After all she had to face a multitude of truth tumbling out the same day. Even now she is not aware of the whole truth. Once her insecurities are addressed (which Arnav is trying to do), I think she needs to be shown to be more aware of what is happening around her. She has always been a binding factor between Arshi and I want her to remain so. Don't mind seeing her withdrawn but certainly would not like to see her scheming and manipulating her way for selfish means.
ReplyDeleteOpti
Thanks, Opti ... I will be happy if they show Anjali accepting Khushi with open arms after she realises that Khushi has been as much a victim of Shyam as she herself has ... that realisation has to happen for everyone, for Khushi to get her rightful place at RM.
DeleteI think the question is not how Arnav will try to balance the two bonds in his life ... and I agree, the guy is doing his best as of now ... but how will Anjali accept his giving Khushi the importance she deserves. It would be really nice if she accepts Khushi with open arms, gives her the place of lady of the house, and behaves the way she used to with Khushi earlier - always trying to help her fit in, understand Arnav's love for her, and hand over the control of the house to her ... but will she be ready to do so? Remember she has been the major domo in the house, the decision-maker ... when Arnav left for London, she told Khushi, if I couldn't stop him, do you think anyone could have? How will she handle the feeling that Arnav might listen to Khushi more than to her, might give Khushi more importance than to her? She was happy earlier when La was around - La was the chosen bride, and La had even less control on Arnav than Anjali did, while Khushi could manage to manao him ... but then, Khushi was Anjali's chosen favorite.
Arnav's relationship with Khushi is different now ... and different from his relationship with Anjali ... Anjali is his weakness, the person he has to look after ... as Jaya said, Anjali's love is needy, clingy ... while Khushi's is the love of an equal, if she needs him, he needs her equally, they support each other, they are each other's strength and weakness both ...
If Anjali was still happily married, she would find this much easier to accept, but now that she is alone, and has this special bond with Arnav, she will find it difficult to share him ... initially at least.
Again, depends on how the cv's take it ... my feeling is that a completely white Anjali is not going to happen, not until Shyam's truth is completely out. And for me, that is more natural than Anjali accepting Khushi completely with open arms when she's not sure how true her story about Shyam is.
But let's wait and watch :)))
Opti,
DeleteI had a feeling about what you would write about Anjali :)
Just one Qn: How do you think Anjali would react if Arnav had a outburst with her like he did with Khushi that night for supposedly being the reason Anjali tried to abort her baby. Khushi stepped away. What do you think Anjali would do?
And Arnav is not beyind yelling at her. He has in the past though he has apologized. Will Anjali easily forgive him?
I like the bro sis scene too and yes I appreciate Arnav trying his level best to tell both women that he will be there for them. ANd that too in a manner that would strike a chord with them. The approaches in each case is different.
As to why he is yet to tell Anjali about Shyam, I think he knows that she heard it all that day but has rejected it - he would know how she handled the previous loss so maybe he is first ensuring she gets secure before he eases the turbulent conversations aagin.
Anjali is a woman who shows concern Opti but never delves into maters - and I guss we expect her to because she is supposed to be so emotional.
She was the one to tell Arnav Khushi seemed unahppy with her engagement but never went beyond. She told Akash once to tell her his problems but until told, she does not acknowledge it exists. It is like you approach her to tell her thereby granting her the importance of being the one who will be able to resolve issues.
She has not touched upon any of the points that came up with Shyam being accused of them -Arnav's kidnapping, Khushi's divorce demand on her behalf and the engagement. The engagement would be IMO the easiest for her to forgive Khushi for. But the fact that Khushi even in jest hid teh kidnapping and went to teh extent of demanding divorce on her behalf from Shyam she will nto be able to palate. She was not kept inthe loop and that anger will override any concern or sense of righ. Until she is blackmailed into compliance by Arnav - just like post wedding when she kept throwing tantrums about the marriage when she jolly well knew they loved each other, had sensed it but her anger was because she had been shut out and in response she shut hin out. That is what she is doing with Khushi now. Then she had shut out Arnav and Khushi worked out a reconciliation but today she has shut out Khushi and it will be Arnav who will work out a reconciliation.
And this is where I stop feeling sorry for her. She is the elder sibling, a soon to be mom, knows her bro teh longest and the best and yet found it so easy to shun him out initially and kept rebuffing his attempts to make u pwuth her. And when he did find her, her first request was for her Shyamji. Her possessiveness of Arnav kicked in only when she saw him with Khushi that night of her bday and then she started to try and approach him.
In all her relationships, Anjali has the need to feel in control. Her brother openly admits to it. Anjali denies it but exercises it and that is why I think of her as manipulative. I will nto be surprised that eventually Anjali is least surprised that Shyam wanted money - money has been her control on him. Her going away has been her control on chotey. And she has used it remorselessly whereas even teh first time her brother uttered it to her that night, she was so scared. She cannot take it but she never flinches from dishing it out.
I am reminded of Smita Patil's character in Arth. You first are guilt ridden and then one day teh guilt eats you up so much that the insecurity rides in high. You know you held onto people using the wrng mehids and are easily convinced that they will go away from you in a similar manner.
Opti,
DeleteSometimes it is that which is not there which speaks more than that which is there.
When Arnav came home yday, Anjali only focused on him coming back though she had asked him to stay back.
She never asked him how buaji was feeling?
She never asked him how Khushi was and by when she would be home?
That day she spoke to Khushi I thought because Khushi was leaving. Anjali is yet to speak to Payal or for that matter even NK.
Now in these circumstances if like Anjali got Khushi back for La, Arnav brings back Khushi - do you think Anjali will accept Khushi and pay attention to her or work around sitautions whereby she does not have to interact directly with Khushi and yet not convey the same and hurt her brother? A reversal of what Arnav did last year but then there will be a breaking point when you are avoiding matters and it becomes clear that Khushi is back for keeps and not in transit.
Dia and Sandy,
DeleteLots of food for thought. Since I'm running late, I'll get back on this with more details if I can.
Opti
Interesting thots by Sandy,i pretty much agree with that train of thot...
DeleteIf u remember sandy, we at R&R have dissected Anji long long ago even during her saccharine avatar becos something never added up....i don't if that was a figment of our imagination but so many of those instances are still piling up...and the CVs are sitting on a goldmine and if they have the courage, they can make this is a wonderful track in future, conflict laden, dramatic and yet interesting
Dia,
ReplyDelete“-'now write on all the cards - from Mr and Mrs Arnav Singh Raizada'…he is making her do it as her duty as his wife……getting lost somewhere in the execution.-so true. This is why I was a little confused yesterday. Mona’s post made me understand better.
“Anjali back to saccharine sweetness”:
I think one thing all of us will agree on is that the CVs are not clearly showing her.
I hope this is what they are trying to show. She did have fbs of Shyam here and there. What was all that ‘talking to curtains and walls’? Definitely, shows her missing / forgiving Shyam. I feel may be they are trying to show that she is ready to forgive Shyam, but still has not produced an ultimatum on Khushi, because she is waiting for Shyam to give her enough proof? Altogether Anji is confusing me a lot now, which is why I have been ranting on ‘why can’t they show Shyam when we are expecting him? What is the big secret here?'
Anyway, now she has recovered and is concentrating on her baby, thankfully!
‘we wouldn't be caught dead feeding each other kheer ‘: EXACTLY! What I’ve been trying to say is that Chhote is a son and brother and guardian to her.
And Anjali is a sister and mother and ward for Arnav. My brother is only my brother and I can stretch him to… friend, also. These two had only each other for a long long time.
From here on your edit is really wonderful to read. You’ve descrbed Arhi so beautifully.
The first and last parts of the epi were deliciously Arhilicious.
Hey All,
ReplyDeleteWild thought! Just wanted to know of any one else thinks the same and if it could at all be possible?
Did Arnav actually go back to RM coz he did not want to jack up the closeness"Ahem" moments between Arshi, coz he is just trying to get her to be familiar and comfortable with him right now. If he stayed back at GH, the heat might have been too much for them both???
Dont know just a crazy Thought I had!
no no its not crazy at all - read Sandy's post - she and i feel the same too :D:D
Deleteyes, might have been true.. but now bitwa is back in GH, right? ;)
Deleteessess,
DeleteNot crazy at all :)
Monu you too, hi5!!
J, abhi waapas aaya hai toh just to get back for her calls to him, he will lift her up in his arms and then carry her back to bed and tell her to go to sleep with one more come close incident to give her sweet dreams ;)
Ya kisko pataa might just stay back saying I will wake you up if I need anything - now both of us will go to sleep.
*chuckle* Where are these CVs taking me? On a magic carpet ride……
ReplyDeleteSufi poems, Osho’s interpretation of raas leela, the potter and the clay……. What was left?
Of course, Buddhism and the Chalice.
This was pending from last week’s epi when Payal has to go sleep with mami and gets up and has that chat with nani.
1. There was a painting of ‘sleeping Buddha’ in Payash’s room.
2. Research:
“It is most likely that the Reclining Buddha does not signify a normal sleeping posture but represents the Buddha's attaining nirvana. The story of the last day of the Buddha is very touching. When the Buddha, with his followers, arrived at the Kusinara, his final destination, he told the venerable Ananda, his assistant, to set up a bed for him. He laid down with his head pointing to the east. Then he laid down like a lion with full conscience, and mindful of his consciousness. The Buddha did not want to wake up again. He would be entering into the realm of nirvana.
Then the Buddha uttered his final words to his followers. He said: "Everything comes to an end, though it may last for an aeon. The hour of parting is bound to come in the end. Now I have done what I could do, both for myself and for others. To stay here would from now on be without any purpose. I have disciplined, in heaven and on earth, all those whom I have disciplined, and I have set them in the stream. Hereafter, this my Dharma, O monks, shall abide for generations and generations among living beings. Therefore, recognise the true nature of the living world, and do not be anxious; for separation cannot possibly be avoided. Recognise that all that lives is subject to this law; and strive from today-onwards that it shall be thus no more! When the light of gnosis has dispelled the darkness of ignorance, when all existence has been seen as without substance, peace ensures when life draws to an end, which seems to cure a long sickness at last. Everything, whether stationary or movable, is bound to perish in the end. Be ye therefore mindfull and vigilant! The time for my entry into Nirvana has now arrived! These are my last words!"
2 Payal sitting with nani.:
DeleteThe tepoy was suddenly decorated with some odd things. I noticed because in the morning when nani was tying up the ceramic jars, there was a silver cup like thing and now that was kept in the middle of the tepoy over an ornamental sashay-like cloth. It reminded me of something vaguely familiar. It took a while to figure it out. It was laid like the Chalice in Holy Communion.
Research:
“In Christian tradition the Holy Chalice is the vessel which Jesus used at the Last Supper to serve the wine
The Chalice symbolizes the Holy Communion and the blood shed by Jesus on the cross. Reference to the Chalice Symbol in the Bible " Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom." - Matt. 26:27
(There is an entirely different and pervasive tradition concerning the cup of the Last Supper. In this highly muddled though better-known version, the vessel is known as Holy Grail. In this legend, the cup was used to collect and store the blood of Christ at the Crucifixion)
It represents the completeness of His sacrifice—He gave us His all; His life. “
Two big words from symbols 1 and 2.
DeleteSEPARATION and SACRIFICE!
OK. OK. Before someone calls me crazy, let me give you other possible versions I can think of:
Sleeping Buddha: Payal/ Akash has been sleeping till now, soon will come the time for her/him to wake up.
Chalice: K has done with all the sacrifice. Holy communion is a time of blessing and Arhi will be blessed soon. There!
(I’ll stick to my researched versions, though. It fits well with all my gloom and doom theories! And I AM not loving it! So please…enough of this theo signs! Thankfully they seem to be disappearing one by one-starting with Radhe Shyam idols.)
Su,
DeleteI like your train of thought above. Very non conventional. I have been thinking 12 signs of zodiac offlate. Begins with Aries which is all about Ego and ends with Pisces which is all about confluence. Wiki tells me sometimes there is a belief of a 13th sign which is basically a man and a snake face off.
The idols they show usually have something to do with the mood fo teh characters. For a while now in Arnav Anji scenes, Arnav has been shown with Ganesha - vignahartha - remover of obstacles and giver of wisdwom.
Yday Anjali's mirror refflected Durga and the Geetopadesh scene idols I thought.
Usually when she is in her Shyam moods they show the pic of them or the Radhe Krishna idol. You need to understand that Anjali's love for Shyam is like Radha's. Bling, unwavering, constant. And she wants a love story like theirs eternal.
