Title suggested by my hubby ... kindly give comments on it :))
Title was actually suggested a couple of days ago, I found it most apt for today. Have to say, the cv's are smart ... ArHi at the start of episode, a small smidgeon in the middle, ArHi at the end ... and people will sit through the family drama :))
Today I didn't feel as sorry for Anjali as I had yesterday ... yes, her world got shattered, but it was her conniving, two-timing scoundrel KP's fault ... since she can't bear to lose her fantasy world, she decides to shoot the messenger ... and act like a sulky five year old brat. Did she forget that her brother came back after a fifteen day kidnapping ordeal? Though admittedly, Rocky and the gang were better company than this madhouse :)) All she can do is sulk that her brother threw her KP out of the house ... and make him feel guilty for doing something he should have done six (or however many) months ago. Felt very sad for poor Arnav, trying his best to make up to his nautanki Di ... he should leave her to come out of her sulks and actually get around to asking him in a mature, adult way if he had any reason for his decision ...
As his grandmother did ... and oh boy, Arnav actually told her the entire story ... not saying in so many words that he forced Khushi to marry him ... but Nani could read between the lines ... Am so glad she told Khushi to stay away from Anjali, she obviously knows how irrational and stupid the woman can be. Wish she would tell Arnav also to stay away from his Di ... then Di might grow up!
I preferred Payash to Anjali today ... by far. An actual issue, a genuine grievance ... Payal will have to work hard to get over this one. She won trust without having to try very hard, but now she's lost Akash's trust ... and it will be much more difficult to get it back.
Unlike ODC (Our Dear Couple) of course ... although I was annoyed at Arnav at the start for leaving his sleeping biwi to go niharo his Di - really, bitwa, what a choice you have! ... I was slightly mollified when he held ODG's hand when she came down to sit with him :) And loved the way they sat together quietly on the stairs ... the cv's seem bent on giving us our shiddat in parts only ... yesterday was the stars and the cup of tea, today was the sitting together ... really, cv's, can't you put it all together??!!! Spelling it out here ... shared chai ka pyala, sitting together at the poolside, gazing at the stars, and Khushi pointing out their parents ... while Arnav gazes at her indulgently ... all clear? Thank you!!! :)
And loved the little ArHi scene at the end ... ASR back in all his suited booted glory, Khushi in a new outfit ... looking sooo pretty!!! And all ready to fuss over her husband ... who very smartly lapped it all up ... and decided Di be damned, he's got much more interesting things to worry about. Like making moves on his very willing biwi for one :)

Epsiode starts with Arnav walking the tightrope, doing the balancing act between his Di and his biwi ... two parallel tracks ... Arnav's RTR and Di-stabilization ...
His Di, who has been through the worst times of his youth with him, who has suffered the same tragedies as he has, but has reacted to them very differently ... by becoming weaker and dependent on everyone around her, developing a need to live in a fantasy world, and shut out the ugly realities of life, rather than face up to them. And so the entire family tries to protect her ... today she lies shattered from a truth he tried to shield her from, an ugliness he tried to mask through threats and blackmail ... but today that ugliness unmasked its presence and Anjali's life and dreams lie in tatters.
And the other woman in his life ... his wife, his Khushi ... who has suffered the same loss, lost her parents and became orphaned at an even younger age, yet never lost her zest for life and her fighting spirit, her never-say-die attitude, her ability to confront situations head on and fight her way out ... she took everything he threw at her, absorbed the pain and poison, and spilled out only nectar in return ... and today she is equally shattered, but holding on for him ... and holding on to him ... and he has to give her the support she has worked so hard for, the respect she has truly earned and deserves.
So Arnav sits with Khushi till he's sure she is asleep ... only then does he go to check on Di ... but of course Khushi awakes the moment he leaves her side ...
And Arnav remembers Di throwing him out, her hurt, her tears, her pain ... Di is missing and he worries again as he looks for her ... only to find her sleeping in Nani's room.
Nani warns him, Di is very upset ... but also consoles him ... things will be all right, go and sleep.
She didn't ask him how he was after his fifteen day kidnapping ordeal ... this family is rather strange!!! Everybody seems to take it for granted that he's fine ... he's the strong one of the house, he can go through kidnapping and attempted murder and emerge unfazed!!!
Major glitch by the cv's!
Payash ... they actually have a track worth mentioning ... as the rifts widen in the relationship, which was superficial to start with. Akash is justified in his anger, why didn't Payal tell him, when they promised not to keep any secrets from each other ...
Would he have believed her? He even needed proof to believe her word against Bubbly's ... the brothers seem to have a MU ki beemari ;)
And Akash accuses Payal - if she had told him, maybe the situation could have been averted ...
Arnav sits alone on the stairs, lost in memories of happy times with Di ... happy and sad ... fights and make up, Raksha Bandhan, her accident ... and her words ... don't let the person you love most ever leave you ...
And on cue Khushi appears behind him ... and joins him ... silently ... searching his eyes and seeing his troubled state ... and she just sits quietly, holding his arm, offering her silent support ... she's there with him ... if he wants her ...
But does he want her? She's still not quite sure, still not completely secure about her place ... as he doesn't reciprocate her touch, she pulls slightly back to look at him, her face troubled, questioning ... did she overstep her boundaries? And he reads her doubt, her fear ... and reassures her with his eyes, holds her hand with his ... yes, he does want her with him ... if she's with him, things are better ... he's no longer alone ... even if Di is not with him for the moment ...
And she leans back again onto his shoulder, as he holds her there, they sit together, still troubled, but somewhat at peace ... whatever happens ahead, they are together, complete ... two halves of a perfect whole ...
Next bit was a bit disjointed ... did Khushi suddenly leave him and go hunting to check on Anjali?
Anjali lies awake, remembering her brother throwing Shyam out ... Nani sees her, sees Khushi enter to check on Anjali, sees Anjali turn away and pretend to be asleep ... Khushi's worry and concern for Anjali ... Nani, the wise elder, watches and observes as Anjali turns and cries again ... and makes her decision ...
Nani - Arnav - Khushi ... beautiful scene. =D> Nani wants explanations, justifications for Arnav's decision ... is Arnav sure about what he did? Could they all have been so mistaken in the man? Was he fooling them all along? So many arguments, so many accusations flew around the room that night ... what is true, what is false?
Loved Jayshreeji here ... calm, measured, breaking to pieces yet holding strong ... waiting to hear Arnav, reserving judgement till she hears the entire picture, the reason for his decision ... why did he believe Khushi over Shyam? As far as she knows, both are unimpeachable, both are beyond suspicion ... yet only one of them can have been right ... how did he decide which one?
And loved Barun here too ... Arnav's RTR starts here and now ... as Arnav slowly, steadily, in calm tones, which barely hide his own torment, discloses the big truth he has known all along, ever since the night of his and Khushi's wedding ... with frequent haunted looks to Khushi, as he silently apologises for misjudging her, clears her name once and for all in front of his grandmother, the matriarch and head of the house.
"Jab se meri aur Khushi ki shaadi hui, tab se ..' and he holds Khushi's eyes as he says this ... 'I'm sorry, sorry for misjudging you, misjudging the entire situation so badly ...'
For the first time the terrace flashback has only Shyam's voice ... Shyam proclaiming his love for Khushi, his non-belief in his own marriage, the non-importance of Rani Sahiba in his life ...and not Khushi's reply ... because the scene tonight, Khushi's demand for divorce cleared that MU once and for all, how he had misconstrued her words, her intentions ...
'That night, I misunderstood things ... and I made the biggest mistake of my life ... not trusting Khushi ...'
Another look at Khushi, another silent apology ... 'the biggest mistake I made was not trusting you ... never again ... I'm so sorry ...'
And he confesses for the first time about his talk with Shyam, and again the memory is Shyam proclaiming his love, his junoon for Khushi ... all Shyam's feelings, none of what Shyam claimed about Khushi's ... and how Rani Sahiba was the only one in the way ...
And the words shock Nani ...
And the final apology ... his last mistake ... he thought Khushi was with Shyam ...
And Nani shoots Khushi a shocked look ... does she start putting the pieces together about the sudden marriage, about Khushi's misery and pain in all of it?
Even as Arnav clarifies yet again ... 'but I was wrong, it was always Shyam, and only Shyam's fault ... not only then, even from before, he was just deceiving us ...'
It was not only Khushi who started the ball rolling, even before that, Shyam's intentions were never above board ... for Shyam had confessed to Arnav in that boastng talk that he married Anjali only for money, he never loved her ... long before Khushi even entered the picture.
And Nani crumples ... he beloved granddaughter's marriage was a farce all along, after all the other troubles Anjali has already seen in her life ... another reference to that mysterious 'past' ... as Khushi holds her and tries to comfort her ...
Nani has another worry, what if the baby is affected?
And finally Nani pronounces her judgement in tandem with Arnav's ... 'we need to take care of Anjali, give in to her mood swings and sulks till she comes out of this sadma' ... oh boy, Cryanji full blast is coming! ;-(
A last thought strikes Nani, she turns to Khushi with difficutly, because already this girl has borne so much for the family ... now she has another cross to bear ...'stay away from Anjali ... you will remind her of her pain every time she sees your face ...'
Yes, much easier for Cryanji to blame the other woman for her husband's kameenapan ...
Khushi agrees quietly ... 'yes, Nani, I understand ... I will stay away as long as you think it's necessary ...' as Nani tearfully blesses her ... she knew Khushi would understand, because she always understands everyone else's pain ... and puts it ahead of her own.
And Arnav's RTR kicks off in real earnest ... his self-loathing for putting Khushi in this position, more hurt for his Khushi, who always tried to bring happiness to everyone around ... she gets more than her fair share of sorrow and pain, and still tries to keep smiling ...
Next morning, Arnav tries to manao a silent Anjali with their poem ... Anjali is not willing to reach out ... I would feel more sympathy for Anjali if her anger was directed at Arnav keeping her in the dark, not explaining to her, rather than about throwing VLR out ...

Khushi takes over the caretaker role in Arnav's life, as Anjali is too busy moping in her 'kop bhawan' ...
Loved the way Arnav's tone changed with the invisible Mr Roy, as soon as he noticed his wifey bringing in his medicines ... she's there for him :"> ... and now Bitwa is happily lapping up all the attention ... :">
And getting into the husband role, but with some difficulty, he's not used to it ;) ... earlier he used to tell Di whenever he was going, where he was going ... today he haltingly tells Khushi, getting used to this new equation between them ... 'I'm going to office, just for half an hour ... about the new will ...'

Apparently they're the only people actually worried about each other after their ordeal, the rest are only concerned with Anjali ...

Yes, she's fine ... there was only one time she admitted she wasn't fine ... but she's more worried about him now ... going hungry because his Di is on a fast is not going to help either him or Di ... he needs to take his medicine, and she won't let him leave without it ... (umm, he needs his breakfast too, Bitiya ... care to feed him yourself? *MIG Alert* :) )
And Bitwa like a lamb quietly takes his medicine ... leaving Biwi a bit nonplussed ... and with nothing more to do than take the tray away ... they move in the same direction and bump into each other a couple of times, and Bitwa is quick to note that Biwi is getting a bit flustered by his nearness again ... back to the good old days :">
So he takes full advantage to fluster her some more ... Bitwa's trademark smirk is back ... and Biwi's shy million watt smile makes a comeback ... haayyyeeee :">

Well He did come out with the whole truth that was a bit of a surprise. I mean I knew he would but I thought Khushi would interrupt him or something.
So looks like Khushi or even Arhi might just have to move out of RM?

Akash and Payash - AHA, Finally my shiddat of Akash dry roasting Payal came true. HE SAID it correctly, if she had come out with him even after marriage, things would have been very different.

DeleteI am happy with today's episode. Without giving too much detail Arnav did admit of misunderstanding Khushi and committing the biggest mistake of his life. There was genuine remorse in his eyes when he said that, his eyes meeting Khushi's when he said that. The fact that he admitted this to the matriarch of the family was even better than just admitting his guilt only to Khushi.

now i would venture to guess that she is trying to come to terms with the loving face he showed her and the face that everyone else -even her brother- assured her that he has.

I am seriously not able to fathom her main motives right now. DB needs to emote much better - her expressions with Arnav in the poem scene were not very different from those in the temple fb ... she's supposed to be shattered now, for crying out loud ... didn't come across that way. I could not make out her feelings with regard to Arnav at all.

I am going to go with Anjali trying to pull SHyam back. What mind games can she play with her bro? He is already begging her to forgive him and embrace him back but no she is moping the loss of her husband. She told the picture did she not that she cannot live without Shyam.
She has nothing with Shyam for now except the child he professed so much love and care for. He said he lied and did what he did (divorce) for the sake of he child. So I feel she is sending him a warning saying I am in control with this too like she has done in the past with the money an Shyam.

Topmost pf her mins is Shyam and yes she can be strong. She chooses the battles she wants to fight but never fights teh ones she needs to.
She knows the family will rally and wait patiently for her to take her own sweet time so she is basically taking advantage of thier patience of which she is assured.

And then she will choose or not to reply him and confer her grance. Even now she is angry with Arnav but has she asked him once why he did what he did? No she is sitting quiet letting herself wallow because she knows Arnav loves her too dearly to let go and somehwere she needs that physical demonstration of assurance and care.
Her stance on the baby will be 2 fold IMO - to Shyam it will be if the baby is important why are u not bothered to come back to me and UR baby? and to Arnav it is going to be if you cannot have him in the house then I am sure you will not want HIS baby / blood in YOUR house. Plus think of it another way, who will help her raise the child. When she and chote were growing up, hote grew up on his own and there were mama, mami and the rest. Now her brothers are married have their own families so who will be around for her could be one of the thoughts too.
I do agree with Sandy on Anjali's thought process - she wants the others to do all the running because that's the way she has always been treated - like a fragile china doll. The moment she gets upset the whole house comes running to placate her, because they know she has been through so much, and that she is weak and can't take any conflict. And Anjali uses that to her advantage - we've discussed this before on R&R too. In simple terms, it's called emotional blackmail, and it's her modus operandi.
DeleteSo she won't call Shyam - HE has to call her and prove his innocence - which he will at some point, once he feels the heat has died down. That would apply even if he was innocent.
And she will play silent with Arnav, so that Arnav runs after her to apologise for doing something which was the best thing for her ... it's a way of getting attention, and that's again because of her complexes.
Forgetting the tragedy which she and Arnav share, she has two major problems in life which her money or her status can do nothing about - her handicap, and the fact that her first marriage broke on her wedding day, and MIGHT have been cause and effect of her mother's death. According to me, both these have given her a huge complex about being unloved, and her general behaviour is always to assure herself that she is the center of her little world ... and everyone around her panders to that, she makes sure of it.

Her brother always telling her not to leave him - whenever she's angry with him, she doesn't fight, she goes quiet or disappears, playing on his fears so that HE will call her back.
Nani of course sees her dead daughter in Anjali, no question of seeing any wrong in the person who is gone before her time, Anjali is the only memory of that daughter. Anrav is more like his father, besides easier to relate the daughter to the mother.
Mami is the only one who somewhat treats Arnav and Anjali at par and less kid gloves.
Khushi has followed Arnav's example, and thinks Anjali should be spared the ugliness of life, because she can't stand it.
It will take a lot for Anjali to come out of this and start facing the real world - unfortunately her KP just reinforced her complex by showing that he was with her, not for herself, but for her brother's money, and he really wanted another woman. Despite Anjali trying to be the perfect understanding loving caring Smothering wife always.

After Marvelous Monday, Tuesday was a bit tired somehow - still a good episode but not a perfect one
ReplyDelete+VE - ODB saying - in words - he made the biggest mistake of his life (for a moment i though - oh oh - wifeee will not like that - faux pas!) - but he continued 'by not believing in ODG and going to TF instead' and also said 'by thinking ODG was in on it!' - so well done ASR - you said it all - and said it well without letting out the secret of your marriage the the 6month clause!!
I know everyone is upset with Anji right now - but i have a few points in her defense -
1)this is just too new for her - ODG&B have had months to digest the news, act upon it, react to it - for her its been a few hours -
2) her brother has taken a decision for her (no matter if its the right one) without consulting her - without giving her adequate proof (so what if he trusts his wife - she trusts her husband - and that too a man who has been with her for years!) - if ODB had let her make the decision herself - the story would have been different
3) She has not seen anything with her own eyes - it will take time to piece the story together for her - right now its all hearsay. As it is, its tough to accept the guy you loved (love) to death is a cheat, even if you catch him red handed, and now its just allegations
4) Yes she has not been thinking of the ordeal her brother went through - one - he is home safe - 2- she does not beleive yet that her husband was behind all this - 3- how can she think of her brother - when her husband is teh one who has been punished (in her mind!) - If we were to turn tables - would we not want ODG to stand by ODB in case there was a fight between Payal and ASR?
the only point where i will loose patients with her is if she plans to abort her child:
1) to blackmail Arhi OR
2) to say - ok Arnav - you did this for the safety of my baby - now there is no baby so i get to decide for myself and i want TF!
forgot to add - If Di wants to walk out and say i am going to my husband - i am ok with that - but if she uses the abortion to do that - then i see red!

I am imagining this is going to be a precipitating factor....for ODG to walk out of RM....a flashpoint of sorts where even ASR is rendered helpless.....ASR already knows that Khushi has to be out of Anji's path....for some time...he has unhappily agreed to it as well....he doesn't see it as out of RM.
So they will create a situation where Khushi will tell him, its best i move out of RM and ASR..can't do anything about it except mop and cry...
Yup - that is what i fear too - and when that happens - i will stop defending TQ!

Mona: she is free to go back to TF if she so desires - after all, they did have a separate residence at the beginning of the show and that is also where TF went looking for her when she decided to hide in the mandir because ASR deigned to remind her that this was his house.

ReplyDeleteI see a lot of posts above asking about communication within the family. I would say it depends from personal experience. There is family who keep to themselves for a lobng while, internalize it all and only then at times deign to talk about it. And then thee is family where even the smallest of things gets transmitted. Both have thie rpros and cons. But when trauma hits, then invariably for a while evryone retretas into themselves. Natural instinct. Poke a snail and the first thing it does is withdraw within its shell. Arnav and Khushi are 2 pople who have lived this problem fro so long that to have it all out is liberating for them. For the others it shall take a while. Like Nani said, it is no mean feat to get over that one person who was so well esteemed and loved by all managed to fool all of them for so long and so well.
As for Anjali, she is hurt but her anger is mostly for her brother throwing out her husband without consulting her at all. After all he was her husband and it is her life. Arnav had Di'd best interests no doubt but he has again taken a decision for her and ANjali is very much like her brother. She likes to control her own life.
If you think she is gigving Arnav a hard time now, wait for Shyam to try and slink back (around of end of next week I guess) and see how tough she makes it for him. Earlier at least the money came easy to him from her now even that shall be monitored. And a person like SHyam can never bow down for too long.

Arnav has sensed a tense Khushi who has become withdrawn even tho she says she is fine.....and ASR is probably making attempts to draw her out in the only way ASR knows..

Nani's reaction was phika considering she is such a strong matriach and principled individual.
Could see the sadness in Arnav's eyes when khushi was meted out yet another punishment of not going near Di which she accepted without a word. Arnav has slowly started realising what he has done to an innocent girl.
Loved the fact that Khushi silently stood by Arnav. The staircase scene was very powerful. It's a beautiful understanding between a husband and a wife. She understands he is upset but also understands his need to not vocalise it at the same time offers her support and care. Her eyes said it all. Equally he realises how shaken she is, understands she needs him and his support and let's her in his most private space. He ets her in his pain, in his space, in his heart and in his thoughts. She does not need his words any more she understands his silence....
I think it will be Arhi leaving RM rather than only khushi. Can't see how Arnav would let her walk out and let her be punished yet again. In times to come Khushi will become the single most important relation in his life......... The dharma or rle of wife is defined by 7 principles in indian society......

Kshamaya dhaitri (like earth in tolerance and forgiveness)

Khushi will prove to be an advisor, companion, friend, confidant, mother like when needed and ofcourse forgive ASR without a word for all that has transpired.

DeleteLoved the part about the wife nibhaoing the seven different roles ... including that of mother. I've mentioned earlier, I don't find Anjali a good mother figure although that's what Arnav always tries to see her as. Anjali doesn't have the strength, she is Arnav's weakness, and in times when he himself is weak, mostly she adds to it, she doesn't buck him up.
The most glaring example is the first Ma ka Kangan scene with Arnav-Anjali, where they both cry over the kangan ... he is upset both seeing the kangan and seeing Di cry over them ... rather than control her own tears for her younger brother and give him comfort, Anjali is the younger sibling there, crying even more ... so that he leaves her and runs to hide his own pain ...
and it's Khushi who is the one to give him that reassurance he's looking for ... give the strength of her faith ... and yet give him his space ...
The same way she did on the stairs - just sat silently with him, after checking she's not intruding on his space, telling him silently that she's there with him whenever he needs her ... soon she will not need to check that ever ... because he will himself look for her when he needs to be alone ... he needs to be alone with her ... companion, best friend, mother ...

DeleteYou recall long back we had discussed at R&R about how Khushi's love is all encompassign but not suffocating like Anjali's. She told him yday that he needed to take care of himself because the family and esp Di needed him. Reasonable - no hysterics or blackmailing. practical from his view.
Dia agree it's khushi who has been his strength even before he realised his feelings. Di has always been his weakness. I guess this track will bring Arhi even closer emotionally although it might separate them physically again. Khushi might end up leaving RM.

Again I remember the first stars scene ... there too, she was hesitant to intrude, he started the conversation because he needed her strength, her faith ... this was when they were not even talking to each other ... she gave him what she could, and then quietly left because she knew instinctively that he wanted to be alone ... he let her leave, because he had received the comfort he was looking for ...
Now she too needs to be with him, she knows he's hurting, she wants to give him comfort, she makes the first move ... but she's unsure, does he want her there or not? Because she knows he likes to hide his hurt from the world ...
And this time, he wants her there with him ... because she completes him ... she is part of him ... he wants to be alone, away from everyone else, yes ... but everyone doesn't include her, she's not everyone, she's a part of him, and he can show her his pain, because she will help him through it, she will be strong for him - just as he stays strong for her, he knows she needs his reassurance, and he gives it to her unhesitatingly.
Watched that scene again ... when she withdraws, it's because she's not sure whether he wants her there, and he looks at her as though wondering why she withdrew ... and then sees the hesitation in her eyes, understands what she needs, and gives it to her - the touch of his hand, the message that 'yes, I want you here.'

A couple who have finally realized that they are hudband and wife. Their first night together as man and wife in the sense of the word - sharing, caring, being there. A snapshot of how all couple would like to age together, leaning on one another and gazing out towards dawn and hope.
When they got married, that night held nothing but turbulence and storms for them howveer under the rain cloud they are under now, this couple seems to be an oasis of peace and calm. Each clamouring the other's presence, touch and constant reassurance. The nigth thy were married, a screen had fallen across the husband's eyes which lifted earlier in the day when his wife nearly fell to her death. He recalled every moment from teh time life brought her in his path till he made her his ardhaangini and realized that all that he thought he had written for himself was written by the divine order. Their being man and wife had been preordained but when he saw the truth before his eyes, she was nowhere to be seen.
A heartfelt cry to her, holding her left hand over his heart, the nerve that connects to her heart becomes her lifeline. And she returns to his loving embrace and to be accepted as his wife, companion, soulmate, life partner..jeevan sangini..
When she holds onto him without hesitation, the man smiles for he loves her expressing her Haq on him. For is not she his anchor and thought she holds onto him, is she not anchoring him in the seas of life?
He has finally let go of the cross he bore (HR green room scene when she slips and he holds her and the bar on his back drops) and this couple are now enveloped in a golden hue of happiness. It is then that the matriarch of the house walked to them wanting an audience. Then it was about misplaced costumes, today is it about misplaced loyalties. Today the husband confesses to having made the biggest blunder of his life, of having hurt the one person he never wanted to. The truth is now embedded clearly in his mind and there is no doubt whatsoever about the true villain who has victimized the 2 most important women in his life. Th wife now knows how she had unknowingly hurt her husband making him take that rash decision for which she had berated her devi ma. She will soon realize that though Ma seemed to have shunned her, Ma had only handedher over to someone who would eventually treaure her and care for her like she deserved.
The kaal raatri seems to have passed this couple for now and they face a new day together. Concern for each other thier prime focus. But the husband finds something amiss much like the day the wife thought of committing suicide. Like his nani mentioned the night before the wife's body seemed to be present, however her soul, her spirit seemd to be missing. And then begins a dance of fate where they seemm to keep bumping into each other and the husband notes his wife getting flustered. The lover in him recognizes an opportunity and starts blocking her path to be rewarded with a shy blush and the smile of a new bride. A souple who never had a propoer wedding today shared their first true intimate moment / nok jhok.

Khushi needed ASR's words and she has got it - ILU, ASR needed actions and he has got plenty to cherish..... they don't need any confessions any longer. I do have a question though...you guys all seem to feel that Arnav has already embarked on his RTR...but I'm not sure...he's not feeling at all bad about the last 6 months? he basically forced her to marry him - shouldn't he be a little unsure about how she feels?...
Shouldn't he have flashbacks...first night her sitting there all decked up and he threw her out of the room? when he slammed the door on her hand? When he screamed at her for being nice to Di? the countless times he manhandled her? the time after Heer Ranjha on the stairs? By the bridge when she told him the truth and he didn't believe her? When she spoke of how she wished her wedding had been after her friends coaxed her? Garima's slap? - or they should have at least shown all this when he was locked up he can't just come back and become worlds best husband....where's the remorse? shouldn't he beg her to forgive him and let her be all no no its all water under the bridge now?
RTR feels too mellow...and I can't quite enjoy the RV without a proper RTR...

Did you see Arnav swallow his pain and tears before turning to Khushi?
DId you see Arnav reaching out to her after taking the tea and asking hr with his eyes if she was ok?
Did you see that when she hugged him he hugged her back without hesitatiion giving her some much needed solace?
Did you see how he picked her up and carried her back to place her gently on the bed?
Did you see when he let himself be pulled by her and held her hand, stayed by her side and watched her fall aslee?
Did you see the flash of pain cross his eyes when he saw how peacefully she slept while he got up to go fight his demons elsewhere?
Did you see the haunted look in his eyes on the stairs when he realizes that life has him at a crossroad where he stands the risk of losing the 2 most important people in his life?
Did you see him look only at her when he confessed about his bigges blunder and how he assumed she was teamed with Shyam?
Did you see the quick look of concern at Nani when she called to Khushi after hearing him out?
Did you see how he sat across from Khushi as if he was her gunaahgaar and when Khushi acepted yet another undeserving punishment hung his head in shame?
His RTR is just starting. He has come home after 15 days to realize just how kameenahis jija was, his Di is shattered and Khushi has gone through trauma all beccause of his decisions. He has never been one for emotions so he is off to a slow start. He hurts within for all he has done to her because he cannot bear to see her in tears or see the demons that haunt her eyes (did u see the glances they exchanged on the stairs). He is trying to ease her up and help her get past her trauma and for that he needs to be strong. He cannot openly show her how broken he is inside. He knws he married her in the most demenaing way possible and meeting her eyes is an effort in itself.
The vehicle called RTR has just stated. It will gain speed over time.

ReplyDeleteASR/KKG & Anji have all had traumatic childhood experiences - ASR turned into the cynic who only believed in 'writing his own fate' , Anji turned into a person dependent on her family and belief in everything Godly. ODG of course still believes in love, relationships, fighting hard but with a smile
OK - but were their situations even remotely similar except that they are all orphans?
ODG lost her parents when she was very young (before she even knew what it was to die!) - and was immediately adopted by a loving family who truly cared for her - no sautala dukhyari treatment here AND if there was any ugly secret there - she is not aware of it yet (children have an amazing ability to cope and adjust faster)
ODB was a young teenager - old enough to understand what was happening - old enough to realize the enormity of the situation - was thrown out of his house as well - so a lot of resentment and hatred in him
ANji - not only did she loose her parents - she lost a home and from flashbacks its obvious she also had a broken marriage around the same time - SO she was old enough to know her parents, value them, start her own home and she lost it all in one go
So where ODG was at now (last epi),(in terms of 'almost loosing her husband') - Anji was there when she was a young girl -
ODG was badly shaken, almost shattered - she needs her husband and his reassurance too -
so why not Anji who has lost everything all over again? in fact this time she has also lost her brother (in her mind!)
Seems like I am the minority here - justifying Anji - but like i said will continue to do so till she does one of the things stated above - then i can dump her :D

a. Everyone but her knew and no one thought to tell her and let her decide.
b. her brother took the decision for her.
c. no one gave her any proof except Khuhsi's word- so why is the word of her husband any less.
- not that her brother threw her KP out...and in all fairness to her she hasn't said why she's angry at Arnav it could very well be these reasons and not just her irrational 'why did Arnav throw KP out.'

Also she has every right to consider Arnav's action high-handed becos nothing was conclusively proved before her.
Major reason for Anji having fewer supporters in IMO....we are privy to Shyam's misdeeds whereas we have only seen Anji's blind faith in that loathsome man.....there has not been much focus on what turned Anji into that woman...Yes, we talked abt it...much of it conjecture....but its also a natural tendency to cheer heroes and jeer at villainy.
Thus any signs where we see Anji not making an attempt to understand Arnav/Khushi will draw ire but the simple fact is that this journey of realisation of what Anji really wants and stands for has to be her own, irrespective of all the help she gets from her family...My sense is that they will show this journey of Anji as subtly as they have shown A_K's love journey
Gargi - those are my point too - yes she should be angry about those things - but you are talking to someone who has rationalized (at least to some extent - not someone who is just too shocked for now)

DeleteAnjali too has had the benefit of a loving family. Her own brother and Mami, Nani, Mama and Akash.
It is not that she is being hated already, but given her need to control her life (just like her brother's) hances are she will be angry that Arnav threw SHyam out on his wife's say so. (for now)
Plus I think she must have been the apple of her father's eye when he passed away or left them. Then she became the apple of Shyam's eye but now he has been wrenched from her. Plus if you see how she normally behaves with her brother too, it is always in a hatt karna mode. The family indulges her though the poem Arnav speaks of says how sayaani she is.
Yes she has been through a lot but see how 2 women have gone through recent trauma, one who is younger than the other is asked to step up and sacrifice while the other who is elder is shielded as she is considered fragile.
It all stems back to upbringing - in the sense - when you bring up a child having cloistered him or her too much, you will be guilty of having killed that child's will to face life.
Agreed Anji also has a limp which adds to her complexity. But the family should have been able to teach her how to rise after every fall rather than catch her every fall. Becasue there was always the risk that there would be a fall which they could not catch!
Let us see how she proceeds and what route she chooses to further her relationships with one and all.

Actually rarely do people knows what is the right time to start reversing a wrong done? unfortunately, when calamity strikes, people don't have the courage to start doing things differently.Imagine even if arnav started to deal with Anji differently, it would seem to many that he has changed unless they understand that its come out of a realisation that they have let Anji live in la-la land for too long

Gargi, as per the original storyline of IPK, its a journey of two siblings who will find true love/soulmates. There was also a phrase which said they would be from families less prosperous than theirs....of course....Shyam was also not from a rich family but i am imagining they meant someone after Shyam...so u may be just right....

Mami was the only one whom Anjali did not recall in her FBs the person who broke the news to her first because her words were confirmed by both Khushi and Shyam. Khushi had asked for a divorce and Shyam had agreed. Anjali trusts Mami.
Shyam's comment about girls from small houses wanting riches struck a chord with Mami and this track was already in her mind. Plus it was Shyam who brought up the wanting to destroy Arnav dialogue and Khushi accepted.
Somewhere she knows Shyam was with her for the money. She never liked him joking with her about wanting all her wealth and also made sure he justified to her whenever he wanted more money.
Mami is going to keep saying stuff to the money effect which may just seem right to Anjali. Khushi came back to work at RM when thratened for the money. Khushi demanding her pay when her father was sick. Khushi also lied to get 2 lakh rupees from Anjali and Shyam will tell her it was to get Arnav's nakli signature. The last is true but a half truth. Plus Shyam may bring up the fact about how Arnav was responsible for breaking up Payal's wedding in Lucknow and Khushi was thirsting for his blood since then.
So Anjali is going to convince herself that Khushi basically got Shyam ousted because she wanted the wealth and not let Shyam have it and that is why she decided to pull the plug when she did. Then her argument is going to be all about how she cannot live in Khushi's house and so forth.
Khushi is going to sign papers (chances are given to Anjali by Shyam or she got it made herself) relinquishing any claim she may have on the money and property.
Chances are Arnav's latest will alterations are going to end up bequeathing all his wealth to Khushi if anything were to happen to him further fuelling Anjali's ire.
Anjali is going to exact a promise from Khushi first and then get her to leave the house because as long as she is there, Shyam will never be given a chance to come back with her. But Mami I think will be party to Anjali's plan.
Khushi will be forced to hide this from Arnav or it is orchestrated when Arnav is not around. When he comes back hell will break lose on Anjali and the family. He may even threaten to walk out.
And Mami and Anjali will be severely reprimanded for the stunt they pulled. Nani is going to burst open what Arnav told her yday about Shyam being the culprit who instigated Arnav and made him marry Khushi as he did.
Simultaneously when Khushi lands up home alone, Shyam is going to start rumours saying Khushi has been ditched by her husband and the family is going to be tainted. Most probably Khushi is going to decide to go back to Lucknow with the family when Nani and Arnav arrive to render balance and restore sense.
Arnav is going to fess up to the Gupta family that he is the culprti for breaking Payal's first wedding, tainting Khushi and then forcing her to marry him - all because he wanted to save his Di's life.
Shyam will come back around Teej

I was thinking of the scene when Arnav comes back from work and looks all over for Khushi only to find her missing. He asks HP then Nani and finally finds her narraing that story about Shaitaan and Sundari.
Anji also does not know Khushi and Payal gave up the prize money in the contest. She was not around.
Shyam's adultery had come to the fore. So he now needs to tar Khushi away from the love of her life. In the process he is going to lose the money as well. And since he would have dared hurt Khushi this time Arnav will slap him for daring to attempt smething on his wife.
There is one scene that keeps playing at the back of my mind when I think of Anjali....
