Very low hit rate :(But I just realised - we did get some signs of ODB starting to think, and ODG starting to think ... hey, someone is listening to us!
ODB overheard the Garima-Khushi convo and started to go all soft on KKG - does that mean he has started thinking?
ODG heard Kundali Kamlesh and ASR-La conversation - and started to think - and drew all the wrong conclusions ... *head desk* ... the only good point, she started to think again about the reason for the shotgun wedding ...
Khushi started wondering about Arnav's extreme patience in dealing with her family at GH, and the contrast between his behaviour with her family, and even unknown people like Preeto, and with her ... poor girl!
We didn't get a hug ... but we got a hand-holding ... one sided ... quarter of a shiddat realised ;) Dil Maange More!

An end to the Comedy Circus ... we want the sensible mature Khushi back!The Shyam revelation - looks like that one will be realized this week. The Shyam MU happened on a terrace - with the penchant of this PH to close circles, will the first clearing of the MU also happen on a terrace?
So I want - A really good strong emotional terrace ArHi confrontation ... please edit out all the horrific comedy terrace scenes of Khushi we saw in the precap ... if she's so tormented that she's planning to commit suicide, don't make fun of her torment ... it makes it impossible to sympathise with her at all.
Chai ki pyaali under the stars ... in RM, if necessary, as it seems we won't get it in GH *sulking*
This sounds like a strange shiddat, but if they're back to RM, I want some Khushi-Bubbly bonding and a start to the track of Bubbly playing Cupid to ArHi - I want to see how that will play out. And if Bubbly is going to stay on in the show for a while, I would much rather see her morph into a normal child with Khushi's help, rather than play this strange '40 year old vamp in a 9 year old's body' role.
Better editing ... from Gargi's report and the SBB of Friday, they have done the terrace scene and the GH farewell shoot with plenty of time to spare before they air it ... can we PLEASE have some decent editing, good continuity of shots and proper flow of scenes?! Give us some more fillers in RM if you like, but the terrace scene should be par excellence - ArHi confrontations are the biggest draw of the show (after ArHi romance :) ) ... and they have to be done properly. And you have the whole weekend to edit ... no excuse for any shoddiness.

so all in all A's domestication was more about him being kidnapped to be more acceptable to viewers than anything else. Khushi's ambulance moment coming up.

it almost seems as if the whole creative team changed.. heard somewhere that the creative director has changed.. maybe thats why the set perception has changed..
a pet peeve of mine, the way they portray the set.. no matter how the building actually is, the director should portray the set consistently.. like, if arnav goes up the stairs to go to his room, one fine day he should not go down the steps to his room (get it?) and in gupta house, in the payal towel funny scene, the bathroom was in khushi's bedroom.. now it is in the common room? in the new year scene, arnav was stuck because there was no way out of the room, but now he walks out a door(!) to interrupt the bridegroom's phonecall? many others, but these were glaring inconsistencies. maybe because the director forgot the previous fictional layout?
3. the MU is going to clear before arnav gets kidnapped.. and hopefully arnav will get enough time to think things through when he's rotting in his jail cell :) so can come back and give khushi the much -wished- for HUG.
4. well, she is confused enough.. as it is, she is confusing us as to whether she is depressed or mad. if she gets more confused, i dont know what confusion will result!!
chai ki pyaali - khaiin bhi?.. nooo.. that chai under the stars has special meaning.. and the stars converaation too! I hope it happens this week.. SHIDDAT!

and...Arnav getting kidnapped will be ok or may be good if it is no comedy and make ODB and/or ODG realize their love for the other and may also see the other's love for him/her...may be some intense moments...
in short...i want the intense story we fell in love with must return...for me any scene/concept will be good if it is no/toned down comedy...emotions/feelings on a high..

lol Mona had the same feeling when I read the Spoiler .... This is the first time I have followed a hindi serial religiously .... had many of those give up thoughts .... usually I find it really easy to give up if I am subjected to even one bad episode or stupid MU .... which is often .... and come back when I see a promo for good time .... actually had never watched a serial all five days of the week.

And I've even tried watching other soaps, desperately trying to find something I can enjoy ... I haven't found anything that can hook me the way this one did. All are the same type - watch an episode or two enjoy, miss an episode or two, come back, watch another episode ... no big deal! This is the only one I get frustrated with, angry with, upset with ... and STILL continue watching!!!
Chalo, the world lives on hope ... so do we ... ek din Comedy Circus will stop and the intense love story we were promised will return ...

very true dia, my addiction, though new, causes me to be punctual to sit on the couch at airtime! which is a HUGE thing for me, late-for -everything-that-starts-at-a-fixed-time person that i am. some of the very few episodes i missed, i catch up on youtube.. cannot understand the draw to the serial, when we are served such utter BS everyday for 14 days.. maybe for the flashes of brilliance they get right every 2.5 days?
Deletei have to admit i will watch the serial for arhi chemistry.. they light up the scene whether it is fighting or laughing... even without a shred of dialogue.
that is one of the drags of every other serial on starplus, you simply cannot watch a tale when the actors have such wooden expressions!! sanaya's face, the way it skips from emotion to emotion.. you saw the funny VM i posted, right? her face shows a million expressions in five minutes.. more than makes up for barun's stony stare (and that was his USP, so i am happy with that!)
nowadays, when barun has started giving expressions.. from smile to smirk to snigger, started using his face, i guess some of the chemistry has dimmed.. he uses his eyes far better than his other features, IMO. this is the biggest drawback in the ASR to arnav transformation... and gives the feel that he has become a standard SP husband.

2. If Arnav has to get kidnapped let it be done sensibly... Even grown men get kidnapped but they just need to show it in a plausible way. Chloroform when he's asleep and then kidnapping him... Something like that and now SP heroine rescuing her abla husband pls.

Arnav and Khushi at airport together - so did the MU clear up somewhat? And she's gone to drop him?
waiting for Shyam? why? But also says Arnav is going to London ... Doesn't make sense. So will reserve comment till it airs.
Shyam might just be kidnapping Arnav for money ... and will play the good guy who risks his life for the R family by delivering the money ...
The kidnap might not be about changing the will. He can't tell Arnav to change the will in his name, and then promptly kill Arnav - will make him prime suspect. Or is that too much thinking for the cv's?
Besides, Shyam wants money now - not after Arnav dies.
Bottom line - Arnav being kidnapped doesn't make sense, unless its just for Khushi's realization.

she was the one who said the new entry (bubbly) will be 9 year old girl.. suffice to say, a mood (anticipation) spoiler.. so i think one of the CVs is purposely either trying to raise (or lower) the TRPs..
i dont want to speculate over who will go to the airport, who will get kidnapped, how they will shoot the kidnapping!!
as gargi saw for herself, they shoot 2-5 days in advance of the air-date. we have seen many times that the editing team controls what will be in the final telecast episode...
bad editing is so jarring, if the director saw the edited piece before it aired,and adjusted the glaring stuff (like arnav's ladder dance) half the dissatisfaction in the audiences' mind can be avoided.
the screenplay is not the only one to blame for the loss of character of this show.

DeleteIn fact, of the four main actors in IPK - Barun, Sanaya, Daljeet and Abhaas, I find Abhaas the weakest now - although his dialogue delivery is good. But maybe he has much less scenes these days also.

poor SaRun .... such talented actors .... shooting on edge .... bad screenplay .... poor camera angles .... poor direction (like in ladder scene, perception of set as given by BBE) .... yet their expression and body language is bang on
I was watching few recent interviews .... felt even sad .... with what joy these two used to talk about their show and now it seemed they are just there because of abiding contract .... irritation obvious

Ok, this made me feel better about IPK ... at least, apart from the OTT comedy, everything is watchable! And our actors are way, way better ... for sure!!!
Sama, I agree with you 100% ... earlier in their interviews SaRun were always happy, laughing, excited when a scene went well ... now they seem to be as fed up as the viewers! I'm just clinging to hope from Sanaya's UK iv, where she said that she had been told that when she gets back, the story is going to move into the darker phase. And the way she said 'she has been told' ... seems to me even she's waiting for that to start ... she enjoys doing comedy, but I'm sure she is fed up of doing the crappy OTT stuff she just did! And I feel worse for her because she must have worked her pants off getting all those scenes canned before she took off for the UK .. the entire week was full of Khushi, when she wasn't even there.
After a good day out, when I thought about IPK and the past week, two scenes stood out- the holding hands scene and the KG convo (thank God for amnesia). And then I came across this discusson on IPK magic. Wanted to add that apart from Arhi, a lot of it is also because of the beautifully written dialogues. I watched a recent episode of Diya aur Bati Hum (btw,highest TRP this week- maybe b’coz of Aamir’s visit to the set), they kept repeating machar ki guchhi (by different characters) for 7 or 8 minutes. The highlight of that episode was that the husband had lighted machar ki guchhi for his wife! (‘Heights of joblessness’ describes me watching all this crap). I have never been bored watching IPK , however OTT Khushi is or cheesy the RVs( some of them) are! For me, apart from the Arhi chemistry and fabulous acting, fantastic dialogues also add to the magic.

for the whole thing here the hero gets one expression one word "cancer??" and karan is a good actor but dam viren - manvi scene was just dud in emotions.

ReplyDeleteLove all the shiddats and me wanting all of them as well!! But the single most important thing for me is to get the intense story back with my fiery Khushi at her best!!
And ugh!! I watched the sisters epi too (kinda forced to) , but please just does not compare to IPK. The actors are pretty weak, I kind of like Viren but the others need a lot of growing up. Virat's expressions and dialogue delivery is p****tic. For some reason, I can't stand the English dialogues in that serial, not well written at all . ASR se kuch seekhna chahiye unko :-)
But I'm quite liking NBT (thanks to Opti for the pointer). Please checkout the Fri episode, very intense with a nice ending and a even better precap. I think I can hold on to NBT until IPK comes back on track. Although everyone has pretty high expectations that everything will be hunky dory from tomorrow, I'll reserve judgement until the whole week passes. Lately we've been getting 1 good epi per 4 bad ones. Not fair CVs!!

ReplyDeletehey all - ROFL (quite literally rolled over the bed laughing) at your comments - so so true - was a really good thing for me to see the you tube link = all of a sudden IPK started looking better (i mean despite the OTT trashy comedy and bubbly tracks!) and then ofcourse i watched the older episodes and wsa like 'wow! this was it! the PH is nuts wasting such people!!)

After Fridays's episode it looks like the MU will get cleared before the Bidaii scene I saw...So perhpas this weks will be dedicated to that and come friday Arhi decide to confront shyam-at the airport for some reason and then we have are millionare tycoon being kidnapped by his brother-in-law?

DeleteConsidering that Sanaya seems to have shot for most of the suisaayd track before she went to the UK, and started on the last bit as soon as she came back ... that gives the editing team some time to get off their b***s and do some work!
Why would ArHi decide to confront Shyam at the airport - when Arnav is apparently leaving for London? Something doesn't add up here. There has to be more to it than mishti disclosed.
I don't have much hope at all of a sensible kidnapping scene - all I can remember are the utterly juvenile ones from the Hera Pheri series :)))

But I agree Dia there's something that doesn't add up.
I know for a fact that sometime they shoot the morning of the eppy for some scenes of the evening episode... But right now they seem to have gotten SI and BS to shoot like crazy and create a scene bank. But there was a time and I know this for fact that they really didn't have and lag time.
I love the Hera Pheri movies too ... love Paresh Rawal! He's a fab comic actor!

But yep, they were supposed to be comic ... the kidnapping in IPK isn't supposed to be comic ... so hopefully they do it properly. Especially if they ARE moving the show into the more intense phase.

So basically they've worked in the kidnapping plot to accommodate Baruns shooting. There's no other plausible way to not show him for 11 days.

DeleteBy the way, was just wondering - do they generally shoot episode by episode or could it be parts of diff episodes at a time - like in the movies - only caveat, it can be done only if they have a fixed story line - so what i mean is - if ASR is being kidnapped and is kept hostage somewhere - his solo shots could have been done with earlier and now they are shooting all the ODB&G together shots
DeleteI was surfing IF, and the news about Arnav's kidnapping came out about 7-10 days ago, also saying that it will happen in two weeks ... so IF (a big IF) they planned the track properly, they should have shot the parts with Arnav and Shyam while Sanaya was away, so that they have the bank for the track when Barun is away.
DeleteOr the scenes of Arnav's kidnapping ... if I go by original supposition that Arnav doesn't know that Shyam is behind it, at least at the start of the track.

verry interesting.. loved the dialogues.. but am sure some will be edited out.. which is why they are showing it on SBB, like they have doen previously with many scenes (showed the detailed scene in SBB/SBS, then showed part of it in the actual episode..
Actually not surprised that bitwa is not believing ODG....his dimaag remains frozen, only leaked a bit at GH for a short while but not enuf to get any warm wind to blow thru....

As it is they have done so much damage, little more will not matter much...kidnapping, amnesia, tsunami, bring it on!! (how else to explain why there will no communication from ODB to his dear Di during his actual leave!!)

I am nobly refraining from watching the SBB till the episode airs - let's see how long I can hold out against the temptation!
Actually, going by his character, he couldn't have accepted her word immediately - he never does, he always disbelieves her ... until he is proved wrong. And the guy has his evidence - the terrace scene, the hug and her words, and now the wrapping paper ... plus he doesn't learn from his mistakes, every time he has distrusted her, he has been proved wrong, but he doesn't seem to learn.
And as Rekha says, if he accepted immediately, then aage kya? Suhaag raat? Nahin, the truth also has to come out with some drama - I guess the kidnapping has been worked in for that - give Barun the time off, and Khushi the time to look for him, and hopefully grow up now that she has the reason for the marriage finally.
According to Zee_News, his MU will clear finally only around the end of the six months, so that will set the stage for Khushi to walk out on him ... does he tell her that he thinks she is in love with Shyam, btw?
From what they showed on SBS - yes, unfortunately... :( He very pointedly accuses her of carrying on an affair with his BIL and states his disbelief given how good her family is and the proper upbringing she would have had (or words to that effect)........okay ladies, tighten your seat belts, we are in for a ride............

also i think by mentioning her upbringing here, he is pinning the blame on her real parents......i think the cv's are being smart here, making way for the future track, where-in when he founds out the her parents are connected to his tragic pass....he will hate her again.........

Another thought ... the promo is for the kidnapping to happen on the ME, so this week and next week, they are back in RM, where Arnav can safely disappear to office, they have some Bubbly-Khushi bonding, plus the very boring Payash problems, and occasional ArHi scenes, which Barun has already shot for ... then next week he is kidnapped, so again less frequent BS scenes of ASR in his shady kidnapped hangout (hope that is not the GH or RM in disguise yet again) ... those will be alone or with Shyam or shady kidnapper extras, so again hopefully shot already ... and the following week, he comes back and shoots the rescue by ODG.

I am really happy that bitwa did not believe K, that would have been just not going with his character in regards to K. and as you and geetu said after MU get cleared then what? I think this whole thing of shyam's true face out in front of family will take time. may be two person per month lol! and as we have been asking both of them (A_K) teaming up against shyam , but in their own style . Something like preeto's marriage. like Bitwa handling shyam in ASR style while K handles Anajali like preparing her emotionally. That's something I would like to see.

ReplyDeleteBTW anyone noticed how much our dear boy and girl were enjoying the shoot - they were laughing and the excitement was all back - so am presuming that the story (at least after the first few ott comedy episodes) is back in earnest - we could see the ODG was not enjoying her nonsensical stuff at all - but she seems to be back now!
And yes Dia - we promise not to forgive ODB too soon - Your dear girl will get her due! - boy talk of being partial!!
