Couldn't have asked for a better birthday episode :"> :) ... story is finally back on track ...
- Khushi remembering that her prime motive is to find out the 'why' of her marriage,
- seeing that HH has a heart of gold under the bluster, first through her own eyes, and then reinforced by her mother ...
- the almost self-confession ... 'pyar aata hai, ... aur kabhi darr lagta hai ... finally cv's realised that Khushi needs monologues too, and the heroine can't stay 'weird' (rude gesture to Ved Raj)
- loved the Garima-Khushi scene ... the most touching was the dialogue by Khushi - 'you are my mother, aapko kisi ko jawaab dene ki zaroorat nahin hai' ...
- loved the way she described how good Arnav is to her ... loved that Arnav stayed to hear the entire conversation, ... loved his self-recrimination as he remembered what he had done as opposed to what she said he had done ... his doubts had started yesterday itself, they seem to be getting stronger too, that this girl cannot be what he thinks she is ...
-bridegroom Ankur grew a spine very fast, and proceeded to retain it - the first part of the episode was the only part a little blah ... too obvious for my taste, but all's well that ends well ...
- and the best birthday gift - an episode full of Sanaya in the avatar I love :"> ... she obviously shot the entire thing before she left, a lot of it solo, and she was simply awesome!!! =D>

First part of episode was a little cliched ... Arnav exerts his pull and power as boss to influence spineless bridegroom into growing a spine, while Khushi tries unsuccessfully to appeal to the better instnicts of his Mama Mami - Khushi's attempt was a throwback to the very first episode, where she (and Payal) believed naiively that Payal's bridegroom was a good man and was unaware of the dowry demands, and if only they told him about them, he would restrain his greedy parents. They were mistaken - the groom was very much aware, and was unable or unwilling to restrain his parents, and the rishta broke, while Khushi was caught in Sheesh Mahal. This time, Khushi (maybe as a result of that episode) didn't talk to the bridegroom directly, but addressed the elders instead ... only to come a cropper again ... appealing to their better instincts in front of a crowd didn't work either and only worsened matters almost to breaking point - while Arnav's clearcut businesslike approach of dealing with the groom directly and hitting him where it hurt, worked better. Not sure whether it was a better long term approach though - and to make it look more like a longterm solution, rather than a short term quick fix, cv's made Arnav's threat unconditional - the groom did the right thing anyway, regardless of the threat of not getting his job back, and Arnav rewarded him with his job. Was there really a difference made in the thinking? Not too sure ... such deeply entrenched thought processes are not resolved so instantly ...but I like the cv's attempt to bring in some nayi soch here, by Arnav's words that these kind of through processes belong to the 60's. Though why doesn't he stop Mami calling Payal and Khushi KBT and PS if he's so concerned about their respect?
What was nice was the juxtaposition of Arnav's talk with the bridegroom and Khushi's talk with the mama-mami ... showing them both working in their different ways for the same goal ...
So bridegroom Ankur develops a spine after the talk, and Mama Mami suddenly remember they want only their nephew's happiness and decide not to call off the wedding after all. And the festivities begin again ... Arnav is invited onto dance floor by suddenly chirpy groom, and wonder of wonders, he actually gets on the floor and like a moth to the flame, is drawn to Khushi, who's dancing merrily in relief and her usual exuberance. Watched happily by BG ... they saw the tension between ArHi, and are relieved and happy that it seems to be over ... Khushi is shocked to see him on the dance floor, shocked to see him approach her ... he was spitting fire at her and telling her to get lost a short while ago ... and here he is gazing at her as though he can't stay away from her ... A push, a fall, she breaks his fall and holds him ... Rabba Ve ... and then he remembers the terrace scene again ... and the moment breaks ... and again she's left confused at his inexplicably swift change of mood.
Wedding safely over ... bidaai going on ... bridegroom escapes to talk to Arnav, and ask for his job back ... with full confidence as required :)) ... Arnav forgives him and tells him to keep his wife happy, and is satisfied ... all in the day's work, reforming errant employees and teaching them to be good husbands ... :))
And a listening Khushi is bemused ... she gets the gist of what he did to save Preeto's marriage, but her confusion grows ... he's telling others how to be good husband, and what about his own marriage? Why, how, when their marriage happened ... she still doesn't have a clue.
But she does finally know one thing ... he is the one, both shaitan and rajkumar ... two sides of the same man ... which makes him so difficult to understand, to decipher ...
And she knows another thing ... ek pal mein itna pya ... half spoken, but giving it a name finally ... her own feelings for him, how they change with his moods ... sometimes love, sometimes fear ... because she never knows quite where she is with him ...
Why is he like this? There has to be a reason ... and she has to find out that reason ...
Back in her bedroom (Preeto's hanky and bidaai forgotten?) ... she thinks again ... there has to be a reason behind that hurried wedding ... and she has to find it ... but how?
From the day she got married, Khushi has known there was a reason for that hurried clandestine wedding ... that the reason was well-founded in Arnav's mind ... that's why till date she has never betrayed him to anyone - not to his family, not to her own. But in all the 101 ways to irritate him (and the cv's nonsensical reasoning that clown Khushi makes the show popular x( ) ... that reason fell by the wayside. Just hope it stays in the forefront now!
Best scene of the day - Garima-Khushi- Arnav :)
Garima comes in, all chatty and relieved, the wedding went off well, the boy was very sensible, he handled his mama-mami ... Khushi pauses in removing her jewelry, she knows why the boy did that ... because of Arnav ...
Garima sees her silence, reads it partially ... Khushi is thinking about her own husband ... and Garima tries to reassure her, tell her the good she has seen in him, the part he tries to keep hidden ... and every word resonates within Khushi, now receptive to seeing those good qualities ... he speaks less, so it's difficult to read him ... but after so many days, one thing is clear ... he has a heart of gold, he worries about others more than about himself ... he put up with all the inconveniences here without a murmur ...
And then the mother's heart speaks ... you both care a lot for each other, though you both have different ways of expressing it ... no truer word spoken ... Khushi believes in showing her love, expressing it, while Arnav believes in silence, actions more than words ... has she slowly started to understand that?
'... but why do I sense an unspoken khalish (no better word for it in English) between you two? Tell me the truth ... is everything all right between you two? Are you both happy with each other?'
And Khushi feels tempted for an instant to let go, reveal her hurt ... 'Amma, I'm not happy ...'
And she sees Garima's worry and tension in her eyes, her fear ... and Khushi changes her mind instantly ...
Just as Arnav enters ... and listens to a conversation which he wasn't supposed to overhear, but which is just about the best thing he did recently ...
'I'm not happy ... I'm very happy ...
You said the truth ... Arnavji looks after his own so well ... he's not only good at heart, but sensible too ...'
And then her dreams come to the forefront, mixed with what she has seen of him in happy times ... juxtaposed with Arnav's memories of the stark truth so much at variance with her words ... and for the second time in one evening, he sees her hiding her pain behind a smile for someone she loves ...
'He takes care of me ... he helps me with everything, doesn't let me do anything myself' ... she knows this is what he would do if he did care ... because it's what he's told her so many times ... 'you can't do everything all alone' ... and then stepped in to help ...
But his memories are different ... he stopped her from doing her Dabba service ...
'When I remember you all, then he tries to bring a smile to my face ... he knows what I like and don't like ... if I want something, I get it instantly ...' She sulked that NK got her bangles, and he never did ... he got her bangles in the middle of the night ...
And he remembers throwing the necklace she was so excited to get as a gift from Nani ...
'If I get even a scratch, he feels the pain more than I do ... he can't stand to see my tears' ... maybe she remembers the bangle episode, the bandagement of her ring finger ...
And he remembers hurting her ... causing her pain ...
'He fulfills my every wish before I even ask it ... if I ask for the moon and stars, I'm sure he'll get me those too ...'
Has he ever asked her what she wanted? Even once? He took for granted she wants Shyam, and has been punishing her for it ever since ...
Khushi is done ... time for the acting to start again - wipe tears, fix blinding smile back on face ... 'is that enough to convince you, or do you need more?'
Garima is happy ... and immeasurably relieved. She has fulfilled her responsibility to Khushi's dead mother ...
And Khushi tells her ... 'you're not answerable to anyone else ... you are my mother.'
Loved that line ... what a beautiful way of saying it ... Garima's heart would have overflowed hearing it. She did her best for her adopted daughter, but every step-mother is always worried whether she managed to measure up ... Khushi reassures her that she did ... and Garima hugs her, blessing her from the depths of her heart ... 'you've got such a wonderful husband, may DM keep you both together always ...'
What every mother wants for her daughter ... not a good-looking man, or a rich one ... but one who can look after her child and keep her happy ...
And Khushi agrees ... 'yes, he is the best husband in the world ...' and the stark misery shows on her face ... he would be, but he doesn't seem to want me as his wife.
And Arnav feels like the lowest heel on earth ... after all he has done to her, she still keeps his secret, still doesn't betray him even to her own mother ... still hides her pain and hurt ....
Finally starting to see the similarity between her and him ... they both hide their true selves from everyone else ... but they use very different masks ... it seems they only unmask themselves in front of each other ...
Garima was excellent during this scene ... BS was very good too ... Khushi was brilliant :)
At night ... Arnav has fb's of that conversation ... he is the best husband in the world ... And he wakes up, sweating.

Back to bak bak:
Looooooooooooved the epi today, Finallyyyyyyyyyy after ages felt like I was watching IPK i fell in love with.
Hubby was watching too and I must say he enjoyed himself thouroughly especially Barun aka ASR handling his employee and Khushi with her mom. He was like see how beautifully they show everything and I especially the scene where garima asks are you happy and in the CU, she says I am not happy, He was see now she will tell her mom the truth and I was like NO, SHE WON'T, she will go I am not happy and I am very happy. And ofcourse guess what happened*wink*, he was like WT...And I was gloating, see there is a reason why I am called Blog Genie for a reason and in appreciation got hit by a big cushion from him.
All in a routine when we watch my fav show together, thankfully there was no chessy rabba veys today, actually I found it a bit cheesy the sudden dance et all (maybe it was cos of him, preemptive defense mechanism from the cushion,lol) and I looked at him and he was actually too busy feeling sorry for both of them to hit me with a cushion.
If you think was absolute faltu bakwas and were glad of spared the above for the past few days, I fully agree with you*rofl*
Unfortunately, Mujh say peecha chudana itna aasan nahin, namumkin hai.........Aha, how is that for filmy-cheesypan????

ReplyDeleteToday’s episode: loved it 4everything, esp the mother daughter chat. And when K said,’ U don’t have to answer to anyone, U R my mother’(my fav dialogue of the day too), couldn’t help remembering how they had disowned her so easily just a few months back. That’s what’s so amazing about this girl, she doesn’t keep any tab of the wrongs done to her. Wonder if ASR will be lucky enough to be forgiven so quickly .
Precap was lovely, Barun had the ‘cho chweet’ look that was last seen on holi when he wouldn’t allow her to move. Another reason why K may not be able to hold out against him for long when he turns his charms on.
Wondered what happened to the ‘ASR with chaaku, K watching something like CP’ scene. Maybe that’s the nightmare , considering they R in the wedding outfits.

loved the progress in today's epi (in fact, so far this week) ....ASR has started his move towards redemption, albeit feebly - he actually tried his hand at dancing with Bitya, that too cold stone sober... :D; Mother-daughter chat was lovely, especially the sensitivity portrayed when Garima voices her concern about her happiness with "unkahi khalish tumhare darmiyaan mein mehsoos hota hai" - Khushi dampens her concerns with a rosy picture, thereby unwittingly providing Bitwa the road map to his redemption.....

loved the mother - daughter interaction...added fuel to the fire inside both Arnav and Khushi...(actually fire is too small a word for what lies deep inside their heart...must say "jawalamukhi" which is about to explode)...
Thank God Aman ki call nahi ayi in between and ASR heard the conversation to the end...
Arnav learned khushi's view of her perfect marriage(on friday) and a perfect husband today...
loved the way Arnav was holding khushi's hand in precap not for his Di or anyone else but for himself...as if saying "plz dnt leave me/i wnt let u go...u r all mine.."
CVs better not revert back to comedy since Blog Genie is back with her DANDAAA...wish for ur good health Shwetha...
ASR is so gonna repent his behaviour after knowing Khushi is innocent...i mean with all these scenes as flashbacks...how will he face her...

Hi!I wanted to join this group too if permitted.I have been reading the posts for the last 3 weeks religiously after every episode.Sometimes,when an amazing rabba ve scene happens,I think abt this site while watching it and look forward to reading abt how everyne felt abt it.:-) It was good to know I'm not the only crazy 33 year old, mother of 2 going bonkers over this show in this world..:-) My family has written me off completely.My 2 year old son points at the tv and says,"Khushi singh Gupta" and I get happy that he has joined their names as if they belong together.

2) knew it knew it, knew it - (and have said it as often) - Khushi knows how she feels for her lg - she said it again today - 'ek pal main unpay itna pyaar...' :D -
the only thing she does not know (or understand) is his constantly shifting pendulum of emotions - i am sure she must be wondering if her dear husband is bi-polar!! - so finally she remembers she needs answers!
3) commented in the last post of how perfect these two are for each other - how ready to 'fix problems' - only their approaches are so different - was shown perfectly today - again the naive innocent Khushi thinking that 'talking sense' to the OIL will help - and ASR 'knowing' how best to handle this situation!
i know you all will be discussing the perfect story flow of today - so am commenting on the minor things i loved-
- loved how ASR, no matter how upset with his KKGSR is drawn to her like a moth to fire (only when the fb happens does he leave!)
- loved that KKG almost told her mother the truth but how could she? she is not made that ways, will never unburden herself in a way that could cause angst to someone else
- that when KKG was talking to her mother about her 'perfect husband' - (SN - it was ASR having the FBs of the truth?? (so it seemed to me))

1)by the way Shwetha - the sweater/jersey is purple - it looks blue due to the night light effect - if you look closely, you can make out that it was purple
2)AND ODG is sleeping with both the MS and sindoor - so either she puts it on before going to bed (???) or its a blooper - ok MS could have been hidden under the set she was wearing but the sindoor?
3)she really looks nice with her hair tied - the change is good for us and ODB - he has more chances of getting mesmerized!
4) best dialogue of the day - you are my mother and not answerable to anyone else!! loved it - have step moms in the family (not mine though) and believe me- hearing such a thing from their daughters would really mean the world to them!

everyone was pressuring her to get married, she dint want to.. then she asked anjali how to decide to get married.. after the gyaan, arnav falls on her (literally!!) and she realizes this is why she cannot commit to anyone else.. very good episode that was.. lots of things happening in these 20 minutes!

ReplyDeleteYes, come to think of it.....on Khushi's realisation, i used to feel that there would be that one big bang Eureka moment....but on hindsight, i am rather glad that they let that flow in with her thoughts....
To love a complex man like ASR can't be easy and frankly, even in real life, realisation of love is rarely a eureka moment, its a feeling that grows in some corner of ur heart and starts to manifest in your actions, isn't it? Its just that K's character has been butchered at times that there was some confusion.....
IMO, it may be easier for K to accept that A does not love her but what will shatter her will be his complete lack of belief in her morals...maybe thats the reason that A will not find it easy to earn her love..after the MU clears.
On FBs, i somehow felt, that it was converging as if both thot of the same instances....not sure at all if that was the intention tho
On MS and sindhoor, my take is that CVs got tired of the posts that were conjecturing on that event so they made K wear it, they would have told Khushi....u have to wear before u give that shot on the bed!!

ROFL at your MS and sindhoor comment. I actually felyt that at this point of time even if he puts it on her how will it be any different from before? Jab dil se ehsaas hoga ki how innocent she was and just how much she ha borne (today was just teh trailer, picture abhi baaki hai mere dost!) then when he will do it, it will make sense na?
One of the scenes that stood out for me: After ensuring everyone's happiness, Arnav stands back away from them all. But he lets himself be cajoled into being drawn into a circle of happiness the centre of who is Khushi :)
And I finally got my wish for a garima khushi convo - tum khush ho with Arnav overhears and feels like a heel :D

Delete@ Rekha, agree - you 'fall in love' not 'drop in love'! so technically there should not be one eureka moment but many! and here ODG has had her moments right from pre diwali - she has been fighting them and have to say ODB has not made it any easier for the poor girl! - blowing hot, blowing cold and all the rest - ending in the poor girl always hiding her feelings, trying to bury them - like she said during holi - wanted to forget, could not!!

Random thought -
been thinking - was really irritated with ODB for not using his brains and all that (you all know the rant so will not repeat here :D) - and the slow pace of the show but if we try and look at it from a different angle - not sure if it was such a bad thing to let some time(not too much though)pass before ODB starts to use his brains - here's why:
- all had happened in one day in IPK-Narnia - he realized he was in love, thought of telling his lady love about it, found out that she was a cheat, sister had a near death experience, sister was pregnant and her husband was a creep!!! was enough to let anyone go crazy - and hence his anger was sky high for days - would he have then even believed that KKG was innocent? - would he have accepted that had he 'heard it' from some other source?? now, he has been with KKG for a while, seen her up close, heard and seen all this - now i think he will be more willing to accept that he could have been wrong - she could have been right!
(the only thing that does not fit is the holi half confession - it was beautifully shot and apparently he remembered some parts of it so why no reference to it ever - so have come to the conclusion that the holi part was an aside - just for the audience to go gaga over the couple! - not related to the plot at all!!)

Thank God he doesn’t, lol’…)
Dia you just posted your edited complete post…got that fuzzy feeling and found myself randomly grinning over IPK again after a long time…
You guys covered everything…so just my two cents because I simply can’t resist…*may be repetitive so feel free to skim/skip read pt 5 though!:-p*
1.
The part where Garima comes all chatty into Khushi’s room while she removing her makeup and jewellery was so natural…I love these every day very relatable scenes…something as small as her coming and collecting her hair and continuing chatting away while khushi just listened and didn’t respond at first.was lovely-relatable and makes me feel like the director knows the importance of such nuances.

Garima. She surprised me…Buaji is a good actress..OTT is the character I think not her…but Garima has happily maintained wallflower status throughout and for the first time since the very first few scenes in Lucknow she had my attention.
3.
Dia I agree the juxtaposition of both Khushi and Arnav effectively doing the same thing-in their own ways was nice. Also agree that the first scene was a little preachy and obvious. The dance bit was kinda funny-he really cant dance!!..he was doing ‘balle balle’ step so awkwardly…The RV was put in for the terrace flashback right? They wanted show Arnav remembering her in the same stance with another person right?

You know when Khushi was saying all those things I couldn’t help but think…she’s not exactly lying..they’d all have been true and maybe even more…he really can’t see her in pain- ever - caused by him slamming the door, him grabbing her, her mother slapping her, a necklace pulled to tight or a broken bangle…had this been under the circumstance it should have been every word she spoke would have been true...and I was wondering whether that wasn’t also part of what was pinching Arnav so much…everything she said could have bee true…to quote him form HR…’in another world’- one where the girl he loved wasn’t in love with his sisters husband, having clandestine meetings with his jijaji, saving wrappers from the gifts her lover (DDR)gave; all of what khushi said could have been true…brings me to my last point

I’m seriously worried about Arnav!! I don’t think this guy will be able to handle the truth!...forget RTRW and Khushi forgiving him…I don’t think he’ll be able to forgive himself!...he’s going to be way to hard on himself…(yes even worse than he deserves!)
Also on a very serious note when it all comes out in the open I hope his hot head doesn’t overrule his math skills…I can just imagine him having flashbacks of all the times shyaam physically hurt or grabbed khuhsi and going berserk but when a 130 pound Arnav takes on a 185 pound beefed up Shyaam…Math says Arnav is going to wind up in the ER.
re 1.. the director has always paid attention to the sort of scenes that actually happen.. something that the viewers can relate to.. and i love that about IPK.
Delete2- these days, garimaji is getting much more perceptive.. she is the one who thinks of arnav's feelings, not from a damaad angle, but more of a son angle.. just like she adopted khushi, it seems she has adopted arnav too.. after she heard that he had no mom..
arnav will surely be very hard on himself in this RTR.. even now he cannot see the little positive things dia mentions.. but then, the RTR has to be long na, imprisoning and killing the spirit of a 19 year old girl..(wont write the essay of ASR's kaarname).. i'm waiting to see this track!

DeleteLovely post! Am waiting to see the enactment of point 5. On Mon, when he came in after seeing her heartbreak over the wedding she never had, he was feeling so restless that any reason to justify his actions was welcome to him. So that wrapper he found was a much needed reprieve.
Today when Khushi says he cannot bear to see me hurt or to see tears in my eyes - what she didn;t know was that Arnav cannot see either and that is why this wedding and her interactions with her frineds and mother are slicing his heart into shreds. Plus for a man who believes one must respect one's wife, what a 'vidambana' (rekhu borrow kiya re!) to not be able to follow the same in his own life. He needs rto keep reminding himself he is justfied in hating her and doing all this because otherwise his soul and heart are unable to bear that pain and hurt evident in her eyes. After the mother daughter convo, Arav walk off, imagine teh weight on his mid to see this girl lie to her mother to make sure she was happy. Yes his breakdown on learning teh truth is going to be very harsh. Today he justifies every single act with that one memory. But tomorrow when he knows better, there will be so many more memories that will pierce him making him relive the injustice he had meted out again and again. Last time they assailed him by the poolside he asked her to get out. This time too he will ask her to get out perhaps - not because of anything she did or did not do but because of what he always seemed to do to her!!
Sandy, I think she knows that he softens at her tears.. and attributes it as one of "rajkumar"'s character traits. also, she does see that he behaves in a totally different manner when it is unconscious.. and then has to remember to hate her..

when will he get to clear this MU? the recent spoiler said that she will get to know the reason for marriage... not that his MU will clear. hope it is not too soon, i want them to learn to trust each other, and her to love him wholeheartedly before that!

That's ont thing I have liked about the show from the start - they put in a lot of little nuances to make the episodes very relateable ... the mother-daughter scene was especially so because almost all of us can relate to a scene like that - be it after an important party, a wedding, any family gathering - so very, very natural for a mom and daughter to sit and gossip together. That little touch of Garima coming and sitting with Khushi while she was taking off her jewelry, and Khushi continued what she was doing was just too natural for words.
2. Garima has been pretty unimpressive so far - I think she was overshadowed by Buaji, who is a very good actress, no doubt, but her character is loud and Garima is supposed to be under her thumb ... but through the GH track, Garima has gotten more screen space and she's done justice to it. And I really liked her in this episode - her expressions as Khushi was talking were really good.

Yes, my thoughts exactly ... everything she said was rooted in some truth ... she had the good memories as well as the bad ones ... but they only showed his memories, to show that his guilt has started. Everything she said was true ... he does get affected by her tears, he does get affected when she gets hurt, he got her those bangles in the middle of the night, and he definitely does want to help her in everything she does - he's repeatedly told her ki you can't do everything yourself. In fact when she broke down over Shyam's truth, as far back as that, and cried on his shoulder, he wanted to know what had hurt her and was ready to tackle her mysterious fiance for daring to hurt her ... it's all true, and she knows it ... and so does he ... but his memories are overshadowed by his guilt of what he has done to hurt her, to cause her tears ...
Made for a very beautiful scene - her words and his memories ... an apt start of his guilt trip.
5. And yes ... now I can see clearly that his RTRW is going to be very, very rocky ... when he is just starting to suspect there could be a different side to Khushi than what he thinks, his guilt has already started ... when he knows it for sure, he will remember each and every time he hurt her, lashed out at her ... what he did to her, starting from throwing her out to sleep at the poolside, her words about him making her an orphan again ... every single thing is going to hurt him a hundred times more than it hurt her. He will be very hard on himself, because he takes pride in always doing the right thing ... to know that he was so completely wrong and because of that, he made her life a living hell, the life of the girl he loves so madly ... that itself going to be the worst kind of punishment for him.

Yes she knows he has his soft moments and hence the words "...pyaa..". But his erratic mood swings confuse her - pal main shaitan, pal main rajkumar. Today she has finally realized that this man has 2 faces but one soul binding the 2.
Today she asked herself "yeh aise kyun hai". She knows teh answer but has forgotten. On NYE when she asked him "Aap aise kyun hai - he had told her kyunki decorations aur light lagaane se yeh duniya badal nahi jaati. yeh duniya aaj bhi utni hi bedard aur matlabi hai jaise hameshaa se thi"
You know in the room where Garima extols Arnav's virtues and speaks of how Arnav though a man of few words is a man with a golden heart; Payal had a long time ago said "Khushi, Arnavji wiase bilkul nahi hai na jaise humne sochaa tha!"
And Arnav once told La "Just because dikhtha nahi hai aankhon ko iska matlab yeh nahi ki hai hi nahi"
Like Khushi's realization of love has been gradual, I want Arnav's understanding of his MU / building of his trust gradual. It is at the tip of the tongue but to get out of the mouth, it is going to take time just like a thawing glacier does.
He has always craved her love (which she needs to realize) and she has always craved for his trust (which he needs to realize.

DeleteSorry I realized I got distracted while responging to ur MU clearance thot..
Is there an MU from Khushi's end - No. She only wants a reason for the sudden hasty and contracted marriage. So if Arnav tells her Shyam, she will have her reason. And yes she may take it as his revenge / punishment to her for his Di. And she will chin up and bear it because she did hide the full truth.
For MU on Arnav's end to clear - there has to be a Shyam khushi interaction of some sort again for him to get another huh!! moment. And this time his moment will be backed up by the Khushi he is seeing at Gupta House. The Khushi who hides it all behind her smiles to make sure everyone around her keeps smiling. And he will begin to think - the thoughts will again assail him and something will eventually give making him go in search of more clues to justify his action - and in teh process end up learning how wrong he was. I soo want another Buaji Arnav scene here. If Nani is Khushi's champion at RM, Bua is Arnav's champion at GH. She also knows him from the time Khushi worked for him and she also knows the Shyam matter inside out.

ReplyDelete1. like I said yesterday, how did khushi's room get a door to the outside? arnav could have used it on new year's day!!
2. Ankur came and said two lines, his mama mami got hypnotized? started dancing with the rest? a little continuity....
BTW i liked ankur's dialogues :) and his smile is so cute!
3. I hated the dhol rabba ve.. Dint match the scene yaar! waise ASR does not dance and is awkward.. but with mismatched music before the rabba ve, it was torture! and the rabba ve.. whose was it? khushi's? then why did she not stop dancing?
4. khana kha liye.. icecream mila.. how? everyone was still sitting in their sangeet positions.. did not even get up.. were they all hypnotized to think that they ate? (at least a payal's wedding - type dining area had to be there.. or if they were all standing around, presumably after food.. eh.)
5. and bidaai from gupta house again... nandini asked for a place to put up wedding guests.. and now, sangeet happened there, okay. where is nandini's house and why is the bidaai not happening there.. (if the shaadi was indeed in the community hall as promised yesterday, then bidaai should happen where?)
6. preeto's hanky.. dint anyone in the bride's family think of that?
7. wow ankur is super confident after he married a girl while knowing he is jobless.... ohkay, he read the screenplay already and knows ASR will forgive him :D (where is ASR and why are the staff not scared of him ??)
8. bitiya overhears this from the kitchen.. so bitwa's in the hall, right? maybe. but then, where are the bidaai party? somebody forgot to turn on the lights?
9. she goes into the bedroom.. and it is all decorated for the wedding?? WT? such generous neighbors that they paid for flowers and lights in the private bedrooms too??
okay that's enough. I will not mention garima's amnesia about her emergency shaadi.. not one question about that.. why did she have to get married on exactly payal's wedding day? is she pregnant?? what amma.
Dia, loved your edit. and loved how you gave the positive scenes in addition to his negative flashbacks.
oops.. they had icecream in the previous epi, forgot about that.. but then why did ankur say we will eat after some mauj masti?

Its so true....many people take their responsibilities as adoptive parents seriously, for many its a role that they take having fully understood the implications, though there may be situations which might have been the cause for them to take on such roles..
Its kinda unfortunate that becos the role of the biological mother-father enjoys such an exalted position(not saying that they don't deserve it)in society that many serious adoptive,step,foster parents always wonder whether they have done right by their kids...So that scene where K gives her mother that assurance that G seeks will rank as one of my all time favourite scenes, one becos it was such a simple scene but carried such a powerful meaning
One more thing, the juxtaposition of Arnav listening to that made it all the more significant as a person who can't see anyone else as his mother....Beautiful.....I am in love with this story...wonderful job by the team....

DeleteThat conversation was very well written and executed. Simple and from the heart. Her mother asks her to speak the truth about whether she is happy and she does but seeing that concern, worry, pain, a look of having failed by her daughter, Khushi trudges on and sets about convincing her about how happy she really is.
Arnav today saw that to Khushi even her adoptive mother's happiness is important. If she can so wholeheartedly embrace her adoptive mother, would she be callous enough to hurt another soon to be mother?
Yes that single dialogue where Khushi says that G is her amma and not answerable was beautiful. It will come back one day to haunt Arnav - because that day he will be answerable to G for having crushed her daughter's happiness.
And that day he will feel the need to explain to her because he will wish she could be his mother too just like Khushi's.

Also you add more depth to each and every scenes especially the emotional scenes.They way you interpret Kushi's words and inner most feeling always leaves me dumbstruck.Some time I feel even the script writer / director might have thought to that extent. It was a wonderful episode on yesterday. After a long time I felt content with what CV's has given.I feel always attracted to Kushi; she is an amazing character.The chirpiness and the way she bounce back from tragedies by not retiring to a crying woman model showcased by most of the SP dramas,the way she find goodness among all the bad things, the way she spread happiness , the way she loves her family , the way she is keeping her marriage secret and showing happy face to all though it hurt her each and every second , all make me fall in love with Kushi.
I am eagerly waiting for this MU clearance and Arnav's long awaiting Redemption path :) .I think I have ranted a lot. I am excited on my first post itself :) he he ..

DeleteAaru, my feeling is that today's episode they had to do becos of SI's trip...they may not have shot the intense portions required for that track....so they had to these todays's scenes leading up somehow to the main track...else i see absolutely no meaning to today's epi..if i didn't know better i would think, i was watching some stupid comedy serial
