So Khushi follows Shyam, gets caught, brazens her way out of trouble ... and comes home wondering whether Shyam is actually telling the truth ... *head desk* Khushi, why would he be using gun-toting goons to threaten a contractor, and that too at night? But in the middle of that, she does start wondering if there is somebody else involved ... business rival, jealousy, something else ...
So cv's, IS there somebody else involved? And is that why Shyam has been sitting tight on the papers? Shyam's conversation with whoever he was threatening was a lot of gobbledygook ... need to rewatch that part ...
And MR Bond and PS Bond still in action ... now checking out all shops for the special diabetes medicines ... of course Arnav would be ordering the latest drugs on the market, so he needs special delivery :)
Bitwa in the meantime manages to fray his rope ... did it take him five days to fray it through? Will give him the benefit of the doubt ...it looked pretty unfrayed when he started ... but what the heck ... Rabba ve time is approaching, so I am in more forgiving mood :))

Khushi follows Shyam ... liked the little touch of her taking off her bangles and payal because they would jingle ...
He reaches deserted warehouse and hands over the money, then goes inside with goons, he's asked them to bring someone there ...
Khushi eavesdrops ... he is yelling at someone sitting in a chair for not following his orders ...
Klutzy Khushi falls over, and runs as Shyam tells his goons to follow her ... gets caught of course ... why would you crawl out so quickly ... and without checking whether the guys had left or not, Khushi?!
And Shyam and Khushi have another verbal battle, both trying to hide things, so both on attack-counter-attack ... she doesn't want to tell him about her suspicions regarding Arnav, so she fires questions about the goons and his threatening them, and gives Shyam red herring about documents, he replies with red herring about contractor and new house ... she shakes him off, he attacks about her worry, she refuses to reply and goes back to talking about papers, pretending that all is well with Arnavji as far as she knows ... 'wait till he comes back, then I will tell him everything' ... and leaves very confidently ... of course Shyam can't stop her if he wants to keep up his pretense of being good guy ...
And she wonders if Shyam was telling the truth and he really isn't involved, could it be someone else ... some jealousies, business rivalry ...
And I'm going yippee ... is this the first clue that Shyam is really not the mastermind ... or is this another red herring?
Although really Khushi ... you still believe Shyam in anything he says? And a meeting with a building contractor needs gun-toting goons as escorts?
However the cv's are smart ... they've planted the suspicion about Shyam with circumstantial evidence like Shyam's suspicious phone calls and their convenient timings,as well as his disappearing from sight just before Arnav's call,but they haven't actually given any solid indication whether Shyam is behind the kidnapping yet or not ...even the goons guarding Arnav and the ones with Shyam today are different.
Shyam made a statement today ... he's doing his job ... which is to keep an eye on Khushi. And Shyam usually tells the truth ... but in such a way that no one believes it ...
So is his main job really to keep an eye on Khushi? Apart from his role with the papers? Or was that his own personal axe to grind in the whole kidnapping stunt? I am sticking to my stand that someone else is the mastermind for now.
So how will Khushi find Arnav eventually? Will she go back to the same warehouse tomorrow night? Then that should prove that Shyam is definitely involved for sure. Or will he get away, and Arnav and Khushi's joint venture will be to prove that he was involved ... and how ... and thus discover the true mastermind?
I like detective stories too ... and detective stories with a solid healthy dose of romance, even more :)
The rest of the episode was fairly straightforward ...

Anjali confirms that the box has Arnav's medicines, because they order his supply every three months. The Bond duo is relieved.
But this opens up a new line of investigation ... check the medicine stores ... Mami the dimaag half of the duo, as Khushi is worried instantly about Arnav's medicines running out, Mami assures her the kidnappers will not let anything happen to Arnav, he is their golden goose and they will look after him till they get what they want from him ... more and more Mami sees Khushi's worry and love for Arnav. So more and more certain that she will be Khushi's ally in the future.
So they decide to check all the medical stores ... prescription medicines have to be recorded with patients names and contact details.
Mami Bond and Khushi Bond at work ... Mami uses the pretense of survey ... Khushi uses emotional talk, quick thinking and cajolery ... both get their work done ...
Arnav in the meantime, has gotten some josh from his dream about Khushi ... and works on fraying his bonds ... The goons are getting over-confident and leave him with only one guard ... who gives him his medicine and moves to untie him, but gets a call and moves away to answer ... And our hero manages to get untied ...
Aage dekhiye agle episode mein ... including our old friend, gust of wind? or sensing each others' presence?

DeletePURA episode hi blooper tha....i can't watch epis regularly from tommo.....hoped for a gud one today...but i was laughing at the silliness of this epi...
you know after going religiously through OTT comedy for over a month .... watching episodes all alone cause I myself used to get uncomfortable with most of the scenes as to why the hell am I watching it ..... the fact that now I don't have to cringe while watching an episode makes me thankful to our cvs .... whatever they dish out .... if its a smooth one that's enough for me now.

DeleteWhat have decided no more logic while watching IPK, but i didn't find the special medicine and finding them in selected shops as wrong, because my F-I- L is diabetic and he needs different medications which aren't available in regular medical shops, more over we do order them from selected shop who are sole distributors of these kinds of medicine, so I think infact they used it very well.
Even Bitwa cutting the rope was good, we could had more progress shown there between mami and Khushi shuttering between the stores..

Sama as I said Shyam did find Khushi and she returns back to RM, and I am sure that the tattoo guy is the one who hits her in head..
Shyam was VRL today, but his lines were very doubled meaning, I still standing strong with Chacha or rival behind the kidnapping.. If Shyam was behind this why would he send his goons to buy those medicines? He could have stoled it from Anji or would he would have known that the medicines would arrive today?
Sorry, girls, but that was not a blooper from medical viewpoint. There are LOTS of new diabetes medicines on the market these days, and many new ones not easily available in India, so that part is very normal - to order bulk supply from one chemist, so that they know they have a standing order, and they will ensure uninterrupted supply for you. Especially if the medicines are expensive, and the chemist feels they won't be easy to sell to regular customers.
DeleteAnd prescription medicines all need names and contact details - my local chemist is so meticulous that he even takes down my name for non-prescription medicines!

DeleteBut another piece of medical info, and Google baba ki jai ... the newer diabetes drugs are safer, in the sense they don't cause low blood sugar even if taken without food. They work only on elevated blood sugar levels, not normal sugar levels.

sama, in yesterdays sbb/sbs, barun was shooting with sanayas BD.. so the IF population got scared that -what is going to happen tomorrow (keeping the suspense)- will happen with the BD instead of sanaya.. and yes, it was the BD in the precap.

DeleteIt will be Sanaya tomorrow ... we saw her in SBS and they must have been shooting the actual scene. The rehearsals would have been done with the BD, because Sanaya was required for the ENTIRE episode in two locations ... physically impossible for her to do that!!! So Barun would have rehearsed his part and the running etc with the BD, and the final scenes Sanaya will have been there.
Plus we saw a SaRun interview too, so she was very much there. Most of tomorrow's episode would be done in that warehouse, so she would have had to shoot in one location for the most part ... that would be manageable. Today she was in both locations, the warehouse and RM ... and the various chemists shops ... everywhere ...
Dia all the location revolves very around RM .... I wouldn't be surprised to find out Pharmacy was ArHi room ..... they used it for dress rehearsal during HR ..... And in Baruns interview for IF, place where bitwa is trapped is actually RM dining space :D

DeleteSama, yes, the place is the same, but they need time to change all the rooms around, right, and Sanaya is there for most of the scenes, which means she's there all through the day and part of the might ... she must be needing some breaks too, so they use the BD for the rehearsals ...
And they are using two shooting teams, I think GH said that in his iv ... which means two shoots are going on simultaneously ... she can't be there for both at the same time!
Of course she can't be .... when you said warehouse and RM I assumed you stated them to be at different locations as in different sets ..... keeping our kanjoos PH in mind shouldn't have done that but hey at least they got two teams to resolve the epi bank issue which have resulted in almost absence of glaring editorial bloopers.

The promo was shot with Sanaya, but looks like thanks to sbs/sbb the actual scene indeed had the BD, In that hug, BD was usedD. I am guessing since they are shooting barely hours before telecast, they might reshoot the hug atleast with Sanaya again.
DeleteDo you see what they are doing, the scenes with Barun are being shot first which will be telecast next week, the run up to the scenes are being shot later, so they can do mix and match and find some semblance of continuity and logic there.

Another note .... In bitwas absence Khushi has become more of a Bahu to Raizadas ... I mean in terms of bonding .... like a bhabi with Anji .... Grand bahu with Nani & now with Mami .... Previously even after marriage it was more like ... Khushi as in KKG ..... now she is Khushi as in Arnavs wife!

- dont know about tom - but BD was def. there during the package scene - means Anjali shot her scenes separately - and may i add a really bad BD - her hair was all wavy, brown and shorter that ODG!
- medical story aside- like the way the ladies used their brains - 'google bab ki Jai!!'
and what i really liked - about their search - doesn't matter what use or logic - the fact that the they tried every trick in the book - 'survey', cajolery, tricking the guys etc etc..
was fun to watch
- so we were right ODG did follow TF but did not get to see ASR & TF together hence no leads on him! By the way, was he shouting at the 'contractor' because he had not killed ASR yet - could it be that the contractor had gone back on his word and was asking for more money from Shyam??
Dia and all - your third party seemed very plausible today - after ODG started mentioning ASR's business rivals etc (again - more reason to involve Akash - he would know if there were any business rivals!)
precap - so finally!!! - and ODB is now in a room and conveniently not tied anymore - well good - now he gets to meet his lady love :D
oh ps - and its def. the same guy who hits ODG on the head - the tattoo has been given to us for identification!!

DeletePartly that has to do with IPK never wanting to divulge much in advance the actual track....but i agree the reverse has always happened with spoilers, discussions etc...and unfortunately, since these are not authentic, they are open to 100 interpretations...
I was wondering whether shows have issues on bloopers...since i don't watch anything other than IPK, i can't say this with authority, but my feeling is, IPK is probably dissected more than any other serial which is why, we can even spot a goat who has changed...
whichever couple tries even one of the ODB_G style romantic scenes, it just won't work on any other couple....i saw the promo of lamp couple, so was it for their C in the serial?

Deletei think the lamp guys smile is cute.. i do watch it sometimes, but cant stand the thousands of pauses for each expression. usually see the five minute precap of the episode on SP-HD. and now that the girl started smiling and there will be a romance track, i can see their TRPs climbing.
i do not watch any other shows .. sometimes i catch na bole tum, on colors, glimpses of BV.. and they do not have such a basketful of bloopers every episode.
i saw an episode of sajda tere pyar mein.. and fell in love with their set.. even the bathroom.. wow!\
well, gautam hegde said they are a star-one show telecast on starplus. maybe he meant they have budget constraints that other SP shows do not have..
On that lamp guy, he is personable but the girl's voice puts me off.

I guess the budget constraints may be an issue with IPK but inspite of that, they have majorly delivered on romance, which their USP...so much so that i can't look at couples on screen without comparing with ARHI/SI_BS.
Am so missing Gagri, Sandy, Shwetha, Opti and all the others - had then been here - we would have crossed a century by now - ladies - you have till tom to come back - i mean - ODB&G get back together after such a long time - and get back 'happy' - need your comments, bak bak and your shiddats so that the 'milap' has ASR elements, that either one gets hurt, that the CV are able to create magic..

I've always always wanted a mami Khushi team up.
Mami is fast becoming my favorite character (Arhi don't quite count as characters so much as "IPK")....
I know we've all been talking about the BIG C (Shweths and Sandy-ROFL) but I think we're going to have to wait a little longer...post the RTR episodes, honesty is the best policy episodes, the wooing Khushi (I'm still rooting for that) and the kick Shyaam's sorry ass episodes.
In the meanwhile I have a small shiddat...I want the whole family to come to know that both of them are kidnapped and when they walk through RM doors I want mami to be the first one to hug Khushi in pure relief and say 'PS!! tum hum me saath kahe nahi le gayi!!'and then make some excuse and go off and leave Anjali and Nani fawning over het once they're done with ASR.
Ok I'm still at work...but i'm feeling serious virtual caffeine depletion so will be back properly tonight ...need to catch up on the gossip:-D real and reel;-)

I am in USA, serving as a Faculty in a College of Pharmacy. Hindi is not my language. And also this is the only Indian program that I religiously follow in Youtube. Do not understand much of the dialogues. Your post helps me understand the story, its continuity, its relevance, and often what next. Enjoyed your critical analysis and rationale.

Mona, treating kids was years ago, now am on sabbatical after finishing my second Masters degree - I submitted my thesis three weeks after IPK started, and have been free since then!
DeleteAnd my kids are almost grown - my daughter is in college, and my son in final year of school - and believe me, boys don't want much maternal attention - the lesser the better, especially when it's all about eat, sleep and study!!!

ReplyDeleteI am really liking Mami and Khushi's jodi, their senti moment together was quite touching.
Khushi looked beautiful in her orage and red outfits. But wish they would have shown her in something casual when she went looking for her hubby. She looked way overdressed for her mission and her mental state.
ASR is back !! Finally... The last two weeks although good in terms of storyline felt quite incomplete w/o Arhi together. So do we get a hug tomorrow or is that for Friday?
Any predictions from the R&R experts on who the kidnapper is ? IF is going wild with imaginations , Anjali, Akash, Chacha. I earnestly wish they don't go the Anji and the Akash way, I don't think I'll be able to take it.
I liked the CVs way of storytelling, loved how Khushi and Mami tried to trace Arnav through his medication. Smart idea ... Yes, there are bloopers but the basic idea was smart.
Lastly, I think (predict) that Arhi will escape from the warehouse without coming to know who the real kidnapper is. That mystery will be solved through a later track.
Sahana, I know, the story is moving fast ... they had to slow it down for Barun's disappearance, but now it seems he is back at least part of the time, so he can shoot his kidnapped scenes, and the story can progress.

Or is it general warehouse available for hire for all shady characters to use? Let's see how it plays out today ...
The reason I think they won't know Shyam's involvement yet is that if they did know for sure, there is no way Shyam could still stay on at RM. A philandering jija is one thing, a kidnapper is quite a different thing ...
So maybe Khushi will suspect and now ArHi will get down to solving this together ... and I still think Shyam is only a middleman, not the main villain. My money is on a Blast from the Past ... the wicked chachaji or even Arnav's long-lost dad surfacing.
But first some ArHi bonding time and romance please ... it will be so good to get them back in the same frame ... can't wait!!!

I realized why my mind refused to compute scenes recently in the past when I did see pieces - because the ILU did not have the anticipation built upto it. I recall the dhak dhak before the NYE meet and teri meri happened but then comparitively ILU build up nahi tha. As a team I dil se wish ki the IPK team realizes what a beautiful story they have and live up to the story they got us hooked to - dont give us weekly promos but make them count when they come.

And the RTRW - I want to see ASR's pashchaataap!!! (for all the tamil speaking jantaa - kutraunarchi) - the poke that the antar aatma gives when one has managed to somewhere destroy another's life and even if u love her, u realize how much wrong u have done by her. u never ask for her forgiveess but she willingly gives it to u because she loves u.

DeleteCan only one word Agree with you on the old IPK back, although am moving with the flow there is this charm or would say essense which used to connect me to this show that is missing and I keep watching it everyday hope it would be back soon.
Sandy I don't just call you twine just like that, see you know what how to put it in words which I can't.. yes me too want RTRW, I want him to have that self forgiveness!! the right word as you said "kutraunarchi" I want him to understand that his RTRW isn't just till he gets Khushi back its life long, he has to make it up to her each day.
I want Nani to be his guide here telling him exactly this is punshiment is to make it up to her till end.

I am sure people connected to the essence of IPK will agree that its difficult to put words to describe this magical love story...its a feeling like no other..

ps - Kohinoor - what a movie - hilarious - though i preferred other songs of Dilip Kumar's movie (simply coz i could not stand meena kumari - when ever i watch this movie i just imagine Madhubala!!)
