Again the title reflects the emotions of Khushi ... scared on two counts, one, an unexplained fear for Arnav, and the second, probably for the first time, genuine naked fear of Shyam ...
Opti had pointed this out earlier, and today I saw the truth of it very clearly ... Khushi is completely vulnerable to Shyam now that Arnav is missing. And with Arnav not there, his daring has increased hugely - he dares to enter her room without being asked, he dares to shut the door behind him, and he dares to make advances openly ... and right now, there is nothing she can do about it. And the stark fear showed in her face at the realisation in the last scene.
Pity that was the last scene ... the fear in her face was etched so clearly that it wiped out the beautiful realisation "Tu Hi Bata Mere Maula" scene - the song in the background, Khushi's soft words tracing her journey with Arnav, which began with hatred, that grew at every subsequent meeting, peaked on the night of their marriage ... and now has deepened strangely into a bond that she cannot do without. Sanaya at her best ... that was a beautiful scene ... worth immediate re-watch ...
Liked the jalebi scene that preceded it too ... as the whole family knows how disturbed she is at Arnav's absence ... and liked the little touch that Khushi kept looking at Arnav's message again and again, as though clinging to that last communication ...
Mami with Masala Mama ... necessary to wind up the Bubbly track ... ever since Mama's Ghajini syndrome was announced, I was expecting a scene like the one with Mami. And good that Mami is firmly on to Bubbly's trail now ... so hopefully this track will wind up by tomorrow or latest Monday.
The first scene ... of course Shyam manages to hide the papers, and Khushi is left wondering whether he has them or not ... what is he waiting for now, with Arnav in his custody - or is he? And Khushi can't get rid of the feeling that something is wrong with Arnav, there is some trouble brewing ... Khushi, go back to Devi maiya, Mahadev can only help you so much, but DM is your true divine mother ... Khushi also wonders why Arnav texted her - he has never done that before.
And one supposed London Office scene where Arnav's absence is discovered ...
The fb's were interesting ... will update thoughts on them tomorrow after re-watch.

Anjali was definitely upset to see Shyam outside and not at the pooja, even more so when he had work papers in his hand - 'you're thinking about work at this time?' Unsmiling - a rare occurrence for Anjali - combination of the occasion and Shyam's absence.
Did Khushi see Shyam stuffing papers into his pocket?
Shyam is now a mix of subtle threats and a new confidence when he talks to Khushi ... as though he knows she is helpless to ward him off in Arnav's absence.
And as the family prays, Khushi has a private prayer of her own, her troubled mind finding solace in prayer - please, Mahadev, look after Arnavji ... I don't know why I'm worrying so much about him, why I feel there's something wrong ... he left without listening to me and I ... then shakes her head, no, this isn't the time to talk about herself, she'll manage her own problems, ... just look after him. Wherever he is, keep him safe .. that's all. And almost without thinking the wish comes out ... please tell him to come back soon ... because I ... and she stops in confusion at her own thoughts again ... why is she missing him so much?
And a last thought - don't tell Devi maiyya I spoke to you ... instead of to her, she might get annoyed I'm still not talking to her :)
Mahadev - Shiv ... and Devi Maiyya - Shakti, Parvati ... Shiv-Shakti is Ardhnarishwar, two halves of a whole ... so does it matter which one she talks to?
So now Mahadev is enlisted to look after Arnav ... is the tide going to turn soon?
Back home, Khushi's other worry surfaces again ... 'does Shyam have the papers or not? Did he realise that I might go into his room to search for them, and so he hid them?' Khushi, you do get the right answers into your head, just follow them through now with the next question - why would he hide them from me?...
'or did I lose them myself? How will I prove the truth to Arnav without them?'
How will you prove the truth to Arnav with them, is the question you need to ask, Khushi ... won't Arnav think you're hand in hand with Shyam even more if he knows you got the signatures for Shyam?
And the AR London office discovers that ASR is missing for the meeting, and hasn't even reached the hotel - so finally they try to call him.
Khushi looks at that one message again and again ... no further news from him, he could at least have called Di, if not her ... specially on their mother's birthday ... and she tries to summon the old anger again, but it turns too quickly into hurt ... he doesn't care about anyone, and here I'm going crazy with worry over him ... how can anyone expect anything but indifference from him?
And then a thought strikes ... but why did he inform me about his arrival? And that too, through SMS? He's never done that before ...
Masala - Mami scene ... Mami full on inbeshtigation mode, Masala Mama provides some information ... red hands, little girl ...
And Khushi is so worried she's back to making jalebis ... and looking at that last message again and again ... clinging to that last communication ... again trying to rustle up some anger to mask her growing worry ... 'he just messaged, he didn't even bother to call, so why am I thinking about him again and again?'
And she remembers their first meeting ... falling off the ramp into his arms ... and the last ... Arnav walking away, when she was pleading desperately for him not to leave ... 'why is she thinking about him all the time, dreaming about him ... there is something wrong ...
No, just think positive and all will be well' ... she keeps trying to reassure herself, but her mind is more and more troubled ... she can't shake off the feeling that something is wrong.
She serves the jalebis to the family still in that troubled mood, Nani exclaims at the number, Anjali is more understanding, she knows Khushi makes jalebis when she's worried ... you did this to keep your mind occupied?
And Shyam is not happy ... he thought he'd manage to keep that rift wide open between Arnav and Khushi successfully ...
Khushi doesn't deny it, Payal is also worried, she also knows Khushi's jalebi habit ...
Masala mama's brain clicks into gear seeing Bubbly ... (good thinking to blend the two tracks together) ... and Mami sees the red on Bubbly's shirt.
Nani realises something worng with the jalebis ... Khushi realises she made them in sugar free, not sugar syrup, because Arnav eats them that way ... and she stops abruptly. The entire family understands completely ... but Shyam is getting angrier ... this is one part of his plan that isn't successful ...
'If he's not here, why did you bother ...?'
Anjali intervenes immediately ... 'he's not here, but she's remembering him, isn't she? That's why ...' beginning in teasing mode ...
and Khushi is almost in tears now, reaching her break point rapidly ... yes, why?! Why is she remembering him so much?!
Nani and Payal now seriously perturbed, Anjali realises from Khushi's expression how worried and upset she is and stops suddenly, her smile fading ... and Khushi can't control her tears any more and rushes off. Payal tries to go after her, but Nani stops her ... let her be, she's missing him, she needs to be alone for a while ...
And Shyam is angrier still ... Khushi is supposed to hate Arnav, not miss him ...
And Khushi finally breaks down in the sanctuary of her room behind closed doors ... memories flood back again, feeding Arnav jalebis in the kitchen when he became faint from hypoglycemia ... 'what's happening to me, why did I make jalebis for Arnav when he's not even here ...'
She tries to busy herself in mundane tasks, put her clothes away in the cupboard ... as she does, pearls come spilling free ... and more and more memories spill out from the recesses of her mind ... becoming a flood ...

their first meeting, the tumbling of pearls from her dori when he pulled them ...
the next, the accident, he slapped money into her hand, insulted her aukat ...
the guesthouse, he sent her there, he saved her, but insulted her again, shouted at her ... the parking lot, he sent her there, he saved her ...

voh dhoop sa hai agar, voh chandni raat si hai
Mil paaye kabhi dono, kya teri iss mein hai raza ... kya teri iss mein hai raza
can she dare to give that hope a chance ...
And her reflection looks back at her sadly in the glass as she sinks to the ground slowly in despairing anguished acceptance ...
He refused to believe her, to trust her, to wait for her ... he left her and went away ... yet why does she long for him so much?

And she rests her head against the glass in final despairing acknowledgment of her unrequited love ... he may hate her, but she can't stop loving him ...
Sanaya Irani, take a bow ... take several! And ditto to the writers, director, cameraman ... scene set up and execution was stupendous!
My only complaint ... why did it end so abruptly and that too, with that horrendous Coming Up of daal and Creepwa? :(
They should have ended the episode with Khushi's realisation ... don't even feel like writing much about the RRR scene!
Anjali is fooled again by RRR's fake concern and he takes the food tray for Khushi smoothly ... yes, he knows she's upset, and he's going to make her more so in her weakened state ... she has no right to miss Arnav ...
In between the Masala-Mami scene was actually a relief ... Akash told Payal to iron his shirt, Bubbly off to do some mischief, but Mami's suspicions are now aroused, and she and Mama are doing detective-giri full swing ... complete with flow charts. They must have read Gargi's complaints! :)) So Mami concludes that Payal is not a bhootwa. And Bubbly is under suspicion.
Can we find a new name for RRR in his new more vile form? Like VLR - Vile Loathsome Reptilewa.
So VLR is shut out by Khushi, he enters forcefully and shuts the door behind him ... to her shock and growing anger ...
And now it's time for barely veiled threats ...
If you don't eat, I won't eat ... please do eat ... smooth, silky ... and he advances ... or should I feed you myself ...
and she realises that she's alone and vulnerable ... slight fear in her eyes, but hides it in anger - she's still also spitting mad ... how dare he ...?
She takes a bite ... to his surprise ...
ok? Now your turn ...
And empties a container of pepper into his daal ... please eat ... don't refuse ... her challenge to him, leave me alone or else ...
And to her growing shock and horror ... he answers her challenge with one of his own ... he eats it .. and her shock is replaced by fear ... stark genuine fear ...
And the threat is now open ... don't challenge my feelings for you ... you will lose ... always ...

absolutely hated today's episode.. first mindless anjali drama.. then terrible terrible mama drama.. then some yuppies in a "london"office discussing what or what not arnav will do.. then tacky rabba ves

Geetu, Sandy, I know that shiva and shakti share a consciousness.. my point was, khushi SAID that.. means she is still roothi with DM.. and without DM, she is not gonna succeed in any of her endeavours..

shakti will never lose because she is the mother goddess.
DeleteSati immolated herself because she was naive to believe her father Daksha who insulted her husband Mahadev. But whe she gave up her spirit for her mistake, Mahdev unleashed his army of ganas, veerabhadra and kali on dakha ruining his havan for prosperity. Daksh was killed in that battle and was rejuvenated after Shiva had calmed down with the head of a goat inorder that he may complete the havan.
In this battle Sati never lost, for she only gained Shiva's love and committment for ages to come. He waited for her becoming an ascetic in his wait. He had to do penance for having indulged Sati's wish to participate in her father's havan against his better instincts.
The taandav if any will be Arnav's. Snakewa is but Daksha - vain of his "kingdom and wealth"
Sati was reborn as Parvati - a determined yet mature consort of Shiva and Shiva's anger had reigned in by then even though he did burn Kamadeva to ashes for trying to act cupid but he also ressurected Kamadev.
And Khushi is DM's child - shakti ka roop; how can she lose?
Kali, Durga, Chandika and Ambika are all warrior forms of the mother goddess who were created to end adharma.

DeleteAgree with you that she is still roothi with DM, but if you see according to her she wanted to prove herself innocent and was telling her DM to help which she didn't, so what she does to the father, shiva, its so real like when a child is angry with her mother whom does she go to her father, and at the moment they do tell father not to tell any secret to their mother, so am happy that she did go to him, DM and shivji can have their combined force now...

And the call to Mahadev ... as Sandy pointed out, Shiv and Shakti are two sides of the same coin ... in calling on Mahadev, she has essentially called on Devi Maiyya too ...
DeleteI thought I would hate the dal scene ... I did, but more for Shyam's sheer daring, and Khushi's realisation of her vulnerability ... that was real fear on her face at the end.
As to why she didn't throw the tray back on his face, and send him packing ... yes, I wish she had too ... Sandy's explanation of the black pepper soothed me a little, otherwise my first reaction was that Bitiya has as much a hot temper as Bitwa, and she loses her dimaag as much as he does when angry ... why the heck did she have to challenge Shyam?!
And she will get hurt at some point ... and Arnav's RTRW will be that much longer and harder when he realises that by not believing her, he left her completely at Shyam's mercy.

Khushi needs to now see the difference between the characters of Arnav ad Shyam - Arav who has always been caring while speaking of hatred while Shyam who professes care and affection (DDR) but it is just about his ego and her not being available to him (like one would feel about a favourite doll one has set one's mind on). And yes she needs to realize how vulnerable she is to he creep and how perhaps she cannot tackle him alone.

DeleteOh, I think she's seeing them both completely separately - she has never believed in Shyam's 'love' at all, but now she is starting to realise the full extent of his villainy, and his junoon - his eating the dal was an indication of how far the guy can go to achieve his ends. Now will she realise from here that he has and never had any intention of telling Arnav the truth, and recovering the papers is her priority, not to force him to tell the truth, but to safeguard Arnav from what she mistakenly made him sign? I would be very happy if she reached that level ... and the sooner the better!
As for Arnav, she's in a different state of mind completely ... it's about accepting her feelings for the man she thinks hates her, their rishta which he told her is based only on hate ... and so accepting that her love is one-sided and will remain unrequited. Does that mean she might leave at the end of six months, after she has proven her innocence .. presumably the two will happen together.
Her monologue was beautiful, with just the right fb's at the right points - will expound in detail tomorrow.

DeleteIt will be good to see Khushi realizing the monster that is Shyam and taking steps to safeguard Arnav - he is in enough pain because of her already and now she has taken his signatures on papers with which DM alone knows what horrors Shyam could unleash as per Khushi.
For now from today's epi, Khushi said she had set hopes on this bond - naadani though it may be. As for her leaving if she has not realized he loves her she may try to in order to save him the pain of having her around. But they could also make her "leave" by showing her saving him and putting her life in danger. Look thru the 4 FBs from yday (non Teej) and tell me what you think.

ReplyDeleteSI was in her elements...as usual...easy to see why she is the bulwark of this show...The monologue was rendered in a beautiful manner....i liked the setting and the camera angle (i rarely catch that) The tu hi bata mere maula complimented Khushi's monologue....

Donning a critic's hat, what took bit away from this powerful monologue was the butchering that has happened with K's character in the past tracks...tho i do agree that absence makes the heart grow fonder and i will make allowance for that aspect.....
I won't call it Khushi's realisation....she has always loved him...but has never been able to look past or should i say felt emboldened to feel anything for this man due to his extreme nature..Every encouraging thought/hope has been squashed in the past.
Today, i felt it was Khushi accepting that "Mohabbat door jane na de", kind of accepting that while this relationship cannot be named, it is bond nevertheless..she accepts to herself this truth abt her complex relationship..
I hated the Daal thing to the core because shyam was at his creeping best !!

Deleteremember few days back I was saying that Khushi will accept her love and do anything only when she understand that her love is above the her hate(her hate is her anger that he did all this to her, he didn't give her a chance to explain, he misunderstood her, she is helpless in clearing it, she should hate him tell him go to hell, but she can't ,she can't hate him because there is something other which is above this anger and hate , which makes her ache, which makes her to go any extend and that is the unconditional love she has for him.. this is the point where her love is above her hate/anger, the love which she will accept unconditionally where nothing else matters.
The whole thing today was that !! her talk to shivji,making jelabies, her monologues all were to accept that her love is above her anger, that she will accept when she gets to know that Arnav is missing.

DeleteThere was a play of words. There was both rishta (relationship) and bandhan (bond). It started as a rishta but now it is a bandhan; from an emotional connection to a bond of matrimony but she believes the foundation is hate. She now needs to understand that the fundation is not hate but intense deep love :)

and i thought that yesterday when she recalled the teej scenes, she was finding a tender side to what she perceived then as a rakshas.. today's monologue erased that hope.

Hate and Love are but 2 pehlus of the same view. To hate someone you first need to have loved that person. Because in teh absence of love, you only have indifference.
No Jaya....its now not about realisation....i think it is in this aspect that the story telling of this PH is different...

one can say a lot of things for someone we have formed an affection for...deep-rooted or not...maybe even call it love...but the realisation in such complex relationships is not about that...its about accepting that love may be unrequited but there is no going back...To an extent, Khushi accepts that there is no going back...in what is essentially an unrequited love..(atleast according to K)

I think it's a coming together of Khushi's feelings and crystalising into words what she actually feels for this complex man. For Arnav, it was easier, he fell in love with the girl he saw - with Khushi what you see is what you get - and his hatred arose in part because he couldn't believe that she WASN'T what he thought she was.

Arnav is a complex man, what he shows is totally different from what he really feels, and for her to figure him out from his hot and cold behaviour was tough enough without adding a forced marriage based on a misunderstanding, to the equation. And she needed this time of separation to realise that this bond is not what she thought it is ... it's not hatred, it's something else. Only when you feel strongly, can you love or hate ... otherwise if you don't care, there is only indifference. And she felt strongly always ... it took the marriage, living together, seeing different sides of the man, plus the insights given by Nani and Anjali to start figuring out the man, so complex is he. And still she has not figured out the final piece of the puzzle - that he loves her, and he hates himself for loving her.
So while he fell in love with what he saw, she has fallen in love with him despite what she saw, now that she has started to realise that he isn't what she thought he was on the surface.

I recall telling Shweths that Khushi should think about her feelings before the MU clears because just like you said, she feels for him despite what she saw and what he did. The day she figures it out completely will be teh day she realizes the true essense of his final HR dialogue.
For Arnav, it has to be more of how he has not stopped loving her despite what he thiks she has done because yes he had acknowledged his feelings to self that fateful night.

Somewhere Khushi's introspection makes me think she will eventually realize that he loves her behind all that facade of hate. (Thinking of how she had prised the earring out of Arnav's hands though he hid it after the HR play).
On a lighter note;
Surprizingly, a session of crying on Anji's lap seems to have been mandatory for both to start evaluating their feelings for the other ;)

Dia, Sandy, beautifully described. Yes, Khushi fell in love with a complex man with all his flaws - the beast so to say, even before she knew there is a prince hidden within him. She has always loved him unconditionally although she herself was not aware that she did so. She used his brutish behaviour as an excuse to ward him off. The few rare occasions she had let down her guard and tried to probe his feelings before letting herself openly love him, he had crushed her feelings either because of his own inability to accept that his weakness for her or because he felt she had betrayed him. So she skillfully masked her true feelings even to herself but now in his absence, particularly with her gut feeling warning her that he is in danger, she is beginning to realise the depth of her love for her man. Although she has problems of her own to tackle, she prays for his well being, not hers, showing the extent of her selfless love.
DeleteArnav fell in love with the innocent, courageous, loving, principled,hardworking and sometimes crazy young girl who was like no other girl he has met before. As Sandy said, although he has fallen in love with what he saw, now he has reached a stage where he loves her unconditionally, despite believing that she betrayed him. He may be angry with her for playing with his feelings and his sister's life but he cannot bring himself to hate her. That is why even in the heights of misunderstanding her he just couldn't stop loving or caring for her. In the Heer Ranjha scene he even voiced his feelings when he said it no longer matters whether it is right or wrong. He put up with all her pranks to irritate him not only because deep down he is still struggling to believe the worst of her but also because he is far too deeply in love with her than he cared to admit even to himself.

ReplyDeleteToday also highlighted the integral difference between the two men who are supposedly in love with khushi. It showed shyam who also thinks he loves her telling her she will not win against him, his love will always be selfish even at it's best whereas arnav, for whom every thing rests on winning and losing cannot see her lose, he will sacrifice himself for her as shown in the guesthouse incident where actually shyam showed that he would not call the raizadas and risk being discovered even when khushi's life was in danger

Dia and Girls - I was YTing on my phone while driving to work (yes, that's how crazy I am about IPK) .So may have missed every minute detail but have a pretty good idea of what it was all about.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved today's episode , even better than what we saw for the past 3 days. I think it's a blessing in disguise that Barun is out, we are getting to see more of Sanaya's brilliance . This is my first Sanaya serial but now can completely realte to why all of you are gaga over her.
I got both of my favorite songs back. I always wanted the 'Tui hi bata' song back , and very glad that they decided to bring it back today. Very apt placement of the lyrics. I also loved the Teej song which they played during the puja today.
Hated the daal scene, but I think this maybe needed to push Shyam make the ultimate move on Khushi. I'm still on te fence on why they are showing Khushi even willing to have a conversation with Shyam, even challenging him to eat the daal with pepper in it , but will give the CVs the benefit of doubt and wait and watch.
Glad that the Bubbly track is wrapping up, tomorrow there maybe a blow-up about the shirt that Akaash wanted Payal to iron.
Kudos to the story writers, screenplay writers and the directors. This is the IPK we signed up for and such a pity that we get to see this quality when Barun is away. Can we add a shiddat to see this kind of story telling going when ASR comes back?
It is going to be a year since the serial premiered and we are yet to see love between the leads. I am so starved.
I was rewatching the episode and though at first I thought today was a bit of a waste it appears that it is building on yesterday in terms of the khushi realisation, so if they are going the khushi saving Arnav way then she should be aware of her feelings before she does? I'm guessing that tomorrow she'll get the call from London, and the kidnapped drama will start, at which point they'd show odb again? I really hope that Arnav too introspects while locked up or whatever because I want him to know that whatever happened or will happen, he truly does and always will love odg and so when the truth comes out it's not like 'i love you because you're innocent' but I loved you even when I didn't think so.

Agreed he might be going to London for work but then why did he scheduled his work on that day, that is on his mom’s birthday? Beats me, so it means that Bitwa likes to be away from the nagging family but isn’t holed for the day? – is this again an indication that he is gone to Lucknow?? Away from the nagging family, close to his mom?? Or this year was an exception? And he decided that he wouldn’t be holed up??
And why hasn’t Aman got the message from London office that ASR hasn’t reached?? Akash was talking to Aman when he was leaving the dining table. That would have been enough time for them to know that ASR hasn’t arrived. And now as per the promo if Khushi’s receives the phone of ASR not reaching London – is so illogical.

Arnav's introspect will come, and almost at the airport he has done that by turning back -locked up will only be to connect dots of the events and what ODG has said, that she has been true all thru and that "I loved her even when I thought she "loves someone else, a homewercker and a gold digger".

DeleteOh I wanted to share this yesterday but slipped out of my mind. My cousin stayed over yesterday at my place. I am the one who got her hooked to IPK (not a TV person). She is fairly regular with IPK but did not missed an episode since Arnav Khushi confrontation on terrace last tuesday. She is enjoying it immensely.
I was sure she has no idea about Barun's leave or his doing BW movie so asked her (discussion was long just writing 2 Q's which made me think)
"when do you expect Arnavs whereabouts to be known and him to be shown again?".
Her prompt reply .... "Its just the 1st day maybe 2nd or 3rd day but first family has to know he has not reached London yet".
Next question "Why do you think kidnappers din't ask for ransom money?"
She ... "What?! How do you know?! Did they say anything such I din't notice?!"
Made me think .... I could have been trilled with this track too in various ways other than just Khushi's heartache and vulnerabilities.
My cousin is not bothered about what will happen to the hero/show or the excess info of Barun leave fiasco and is enjoying & to keep her interest alive have decided to keep this info till Arnav makes a comeback or she herself is tired of no info on ASR.... Wish I was her.
Not possible as I spend half my afternoon browsing info on IPK.
You know, Sama, when I think logically, the first thing that strikes is that ASR HAS TO BE MISSING RIGHT NOW ... the whole track is about the suspense as to where is he, what's happened ... and abhi the suspense has barely started. We don't even know has he been kidnapped or not - in spite of all the behind the scenes news ... we're speculating based entirely on the news of WHEN he's going to be back.
DeleteJust two scenes relating to his disappearance so far - one of Man in Brown Suit deleting the sms, and the second of the London office that arnav has not reached yet. And of course Khushi's nightmare and her feeling repeatedly that something is wrong ... in fact, that's what made me change my mind on the "Arnav has gone missing deliberately" idea too.
So they are unfolding the track very slowly ... and the regular viewer won't even expect to see him back for some time yet ... like your cousin. They will all be enjoying the suspense.
Sama, by the way, since your cousin has been watching regularly since the terrace scene, does she feel the last two weeks have been better than the last couple of months?

Arnav needs to understand the abstract that is air while Khushi needs to delve the depths of the ocean
Khushi believes in stars whom we equate to diamonds - formed under pressure inside the earth. Pressure is usually equated to air. When initially mined, they still have traces of the earth and need to be cleaned, polished and cut to bring to fore the sparkling gem within. - much like Arnav don't u think?
Arnav who appears to be nothing but black carbon at first glance reveals his inner shine only upon close inspection. But the final master cut still remains.
Arnav's first encounter with Khushi - he broke a string of pearls. Pearls are found in the water, hard substances made by oysters by covering up a foreign irritant in layers of a stuff they secrete thereby protecting themselves. Well rounded pearls are very valuable. Much like Khushi don't you think?
Khushi an irritant to Arnav has been gradually coated in layers of his hate as a defence over time. Perhaps now the pearl is all formed and ready to reveal its simplistic yet beautiful nature.

Geetu - ODG did not eat the daal because he asked her too - am pretty sure she would like to see him starve - she ate it coz she knew she was vulnerable and alone and the creep would not leave till she had eaten - he said 'how can i leave - RS will ask if you have eaten' - so in response she has a bite.
Opti - loved your description of KKG! perfect words for her - will only add that she seems like a 'lightweight' but ODB knows she can and does carry the weight of her family well- and always with a smile - burdens way heavier than she needs to be carrying
and Dia - so so wish that her feelings and thinking shift from 'me' to 'him loving me' soon - just like at the mandir - where she is praying to GOD for him - links it to her happiness and then goes back to praying for him - that was well done - if only she starts seeing the whole pic - that would be great

Yep, when I re-watched the Creepwa scene - tough to do! - I realized he started making his advances on her, told her he could feed her himself if she didn't eat ... so I did understand why she ate.

Re: her realisation - I think her realization is coming in stages ... and with Barun away, they can take their time over it, good thing too, because she has a lot more to understand than he did ...
Monday Anjali first gave her a glimpse of Arnav - that he hides his pain from others ... that his anger might not be anger, but is a reflection of his pain ... she still thinks the pain is the hurt he thinks she gave his Di, not the hurt she gave him ...
Tuesday she starts missing him in earnest, without really wondering why she is missing him ... plus she gets the nightmare about his being in trouble ... and wakes up the entire house at night with her panic ...
Wednesday that feeling is reinforced and they focused on Nani's words, and Khushi realising that the man has a strong protective streak in him, which has surfaced for her many times ... her flashbacks were of his protective avatar ... not necessarily love, but just that he is protective in general - he was like that with Payal once he got to know her story, with La despite her ways, even with BG ... and her fb's reinforced that.
Thursday the feeling of his being in trouble is getting stronger and stronger, she prays to Mahadev to protect him ... and she wonders for the first time in words something that has been puzzling her ever since she got the SMS - why a message? Why to her?
And the combination of missing him, to the point that even her favorite stress-buster doesn't work, and the deepening feeling of his being in trouble leads to her breakdown ... why is she worried so much about him, why she is missing him despite his lack of trust, despite his anger, despite the hate marriage, the reason for which she now knows ... it's because those feelings she had started developing for him during Diwali and had crushed inside herself, have started blooming again ...
She had put aside ALL hope, and never let herself think about him in that light after Diwali ... he hated her ... then when he married her without telling her why, somewhere she was hoping that the reason was something to do with HER ... that's why she supported his lies all along, never gave him away in front of his family or hers ... but when he told her the real reason, and refused to even listen to her explanation, she broke again ... that last hope gone, because she knew he would never forgive anyone who harmed his Di ...
So her realisation is more about she still loves him, despite trying to crush her feelings repeatedly, that hope still seems to be there ... but now she can't crush or subdue those feelings any more, or pretend they don't exist, even to herself ... despite knowing that he will never love her back ... because the reason he married her was HATE ... not love, never love ...

ReplyDeletethe CVs, in this last week, told us these two characters are still at the "kuch toh he tum se raabta" stage..... arnav is questioning why he finds it difficult to leave khushi ...and khushi's realization that this connection that she has with him is stronger than the hate in his eyes when he looks at her..
and yes Dia, today is the day when ODG realizes the true danger of TF. and the way he said that he loves her.. even though he is married, she is married, etc etc.. shows the depth of his madness.. and that is indeed dangerous.

now i will explain why i hated the episode..
i did not hate the sample presented today, i personally hated the ideas presented today.
the episode was one of the intense ones... As we can see, after khushi's suicide day, The CVs have indeed tightened the whole feel of the show.
point 1) I hate that khushi is still struggling with "iss pyar ko kya naam doon" she cant think of a name... (means that for the future x number of days barun is absent from the sets, we will see flashes of the whole story inFBs.)
SN.once i had said, to counteract the lack of an episode bank, they can show us a recap of the whole story... they are doing that now! woven into the track as khushi's realization. great idea...
i hate it because khushi already knows this.. remember devi maiyya's ishaare before diwali... which is why she let the almost kiss happen.. and why she was heartbroken after the engagement announcement. ..
she loved him once, loved him twice.. broken hearted, she loved him thrice! if not for love, why did she attempt suicide to make way clear for arnav-La? dont tell me she does not know she loves him... ..oh OH (mentos moment) she is reorganizing her brain after knowing the truth of her marriage! ..that is where i hated todays episode .. she should be saying "how can i still love him and miss him after knowing that he has nothing but hate in his mind for me NOW"
point 2. ) yes, the vile snake is getting bolder and taking more liberties with her, in her marital room!
SN(although since on the set his room and her room, are the same, some ownership toh banta hai! no wonder they are both so cool and casual in each other's room!)
what i hated was that forcing of the situation.. if there were somebody in the vicinity to help her, then okay.. but the whole abla nari (typical serial crap) grates on me big time. will wait for todays epi to see if she gets help or strenghthens her spine.
point 3. i hated that she called shiva's protection on arnav, yet refused protection for herself.. i am sentimental that way, i have a feeling that the situation will not improve until she holds devi maiyya's hand again. ... but maybe i am wrong.
anyway,
loved your edit, Dia.. your blending of the song and the scene and the dialogues.. WOW! off to watch it again now.
Jaya - i complete understand your anger and no you did not read too much in their eye lock - they both know - loud and clear about their feeling (their own feelings) the only thing that is missing is their realization that the other is in it as deep as they are themselves!!
DeleteBut being a tv soap (soap being the important word here) the CVs keep oscillating between - is it -is it not. they have clearly said it - not once not twice but many times over that the couple is in love - but being a soap that too with a tagline like there - they know that the love between the couple once professed out loud will not be lost - so they keep doing this - this 'why' dialogue
The characters are pretty clear - they may doubt why - for example - KKG might wonder why she loves him despite his behavior and he may think why he stills loves her despite her(supposed) behavior - but they both know that they do :D

DeleteMy family has become as crazy abt this serial as me.I was shocked out of my wits last night.Was re-watching the episode last night with my 2 year old in my lap.As soon as they showed the first FB of Khushi & Arnav close together, he started singing,"Rabba ve...rabba ve...o o o..rabba ve"!! The full line! I was soo zapped!:-) Not only that he sang it but also the timing...he knew the line comes when these 2 get close.Can u imagine? Kids notice more than we give them credit for.:-)
