No RR today

Monday 28th July

No RR today because of Jashn-E Eid ... enjoyed the PaRud dance and the miniscule Paro-Aaliya scene ... ignored Aaliya completely, and just watched Paro ... even in that miniscule appearance, Sanaya was all sweet, gentle Paro. And the PaRud dance was very cute ... nice to see them both smiling. They were the best dancers on the floor for sure!

Am in a foul mood with the latest SBS segments today ... still hoping against hope that the cvs won't kill Paro ... but the hope is dying. Just hope that they do more justice to the new character Sanaya plays, and don't make it again all about Rudra and his angst. Cannot sit through more of Rudra crying about his tragic past.

This time I want a Paro/new girl centered story ... Rudra should be a reformed man, who smiles for his son, because Paro wanted him to live with a smile ... and the new girl should be the one with a sad past. If Colors is the one dictating the story, they need to make sure the heroine is strong ... all their other shows have strong female leads, and if that's what gets the TRPs, so be it.

  1. Thanks for the info Dia that there is no RR today, saves me time for looking for it online!! ;-)
Haven't watched SBB/SBS yet, don't wanna either already read the effect it had on all the ladies through their posts. :-(
Hoping that watching the whole thing play out in the actual episode will help to give a better insight into what's upcoming.
The most important thing I am doing right now is emotionally detaching myself from the serial, that way will be watching it only for time pass plus Sanaya & Ashish are still the lead actors so their already easy on the eyes, will still say that I will reserve my opinion about the whole thing until the whole drama unfolds.
Yup, I am gonna stay in my bubble and be optimistic about the whole DRAMA!!! ;-) :-))
Have a lovely week ahead ladies :-)

    1. MB, that's probably the wisest way to deal with this whole drama ... hopefully, what we see in the actual episode will be different from what they have shown us in the SBS. After all, they wouldn't give away the whole story in the SBS ...

Anyway, I thought I had detached myself emotionally ... the dipping TRPs had made me resigned that RR would end soon ... but I wasn't prepared for this sadness at Paro's death. All Sanaya's doing ... she makes you believe in her characters, love them, get emotionally attached to them ... I remember being gutted for an entire weekend when Gunjan was shot in MJHT ... and we didn't know whether Sanaya was leaving the show so we were even more upset. This is marginally better, at least we know she will be back ... so will wait for the story to unfold.

  2. Hello ladies. I heave never been so confused in my life before. :P

The sbs sbb segments say something, but the creative head has asked us to keep calm.

@Kiran: A comment about the previous post..... Colors might ignore rr completely by giving no promos, so that it becomes easy for them to cancel the show. Because the show has tremendous popularity online.

Desperately holding on to the tiny ray of hope. Will give the CVs one more chance.

Oh btw, in today's celebration, Rudra was introduced by Zain as Rudra Pratap Singh it seems. Colors sucks. :( :(

  3. dia,
first time,i find if junta completely justified, and today's SBS was heartbreaking,i dont understand how the new girl[even if its sanaya]will find a place in rudra's heart unless she is paro?this is near to impossible for a person like rudra.
actually,ST and CVs still dont understand that in pursuit of TRPs,they killed the very essence of the story,STs so-called-dream-project.

watched parud performance in jashn-e-eid just as a sanish performance.that horrible SBS didnt let me enjoy paro-aaliya scene.though its a fiction, tears come to my eyes on remembering all parud scenes, paro calling rudra 'majorsaa',the railway station promise [the horrible CVs broke it conveniently, hai naa?],the saiyaan ve and o rang rez mere songs, and all little things.WHAT DO U FEEL ABT IT??[ i think i desperately need ur help in getting over RR,plus u r a dr. too]
are cvs and ashish that insensitive to call this a 'kamaal ka twist'??? i think i seriously wasted 7 months on this, kaash i had known this was coming up..

dia,can u pls give a reply to my comment in the previous post here, just share ur feelings abt SBS.do u still have a hope??
AND PLS ANSWER MY QN. POSTED THERE.only u can find a soln dia.

waiting for ur reply.[others can join in too]

Will add more as the show goes on ... right now, I'm really upset about Paro's death and in no mood to write.

  4. Hello Everyone.
This is all so sad. How can they kill off one of the main leads and still having any kind of descent story to go with. I think the best thing is to just go with the flow, and see how it all works out.
I have always watched just for Sanaya and will continue. She is a brilliant actress and I am so surprised that they want to kill her off.
Let's wait and watch and enjoy while we still can.

    1. Lin,

I think they're only taking the risk because they are getting her to play the new character. I can say for sure if they got a new actress, I would stop watching without a second thought ... I have NO inclination to watch Rudra go through more crying spells and drunken fits again.

This is one time when I can say this with perfect truth ... I am watching this show ONLY because Sanaya is still in it. Otherwise it would be farewell Rangrasiya the day Paro's death aired.

  5. All,

Just watched the Eid special celebration episode. Just the RR cast part. Sanaya and Ashish do share a easy, comfortable chemistry. It is not like the Barun - Sanaya one, which is mostly physical (sexual) tensions. Loved that 2 - 3 minutes performance by both. Didn't bother to watch the rest of the episode. I still find it difficult to witness something beautiful getting destroyed, though it is fictional. Like Dia, I am trying to keep my hopes alive without great difficulty. Read some posts in IF. I didn't know that ST has a liking towards tragic ending. As a creative, it is not bad to have the urge to experiment. But one should not expect TRPs. It is ok for a movie to have a tragic ending. It is a movie and it ends in 3 hours. So, not much of a big deal. But a TV show is something people watch 5 - 6 days a week. The connect exists atleast until the show is over. I do respect ST's (or whoever is responsible for this track change) creative freedom, but if you want good ratings for the show, you might have to compromise a few things. People don't ask much... just happy endings. Is that so difficult to give? Trying not to think about the next 2 - 3 episodes.

I try to remain stable and detached, when watching a serial. But killing someone when they have an entire life to live with his / her soulmate, is something I am not prepared to face. I have a theory about the new character. Like I said, I will wait till the entire sequence plays out. I don't want to burst our fellow bloggers' expectations by revealing my thoughts (they are good ones!). Hope the CVs' thoughts match with mine. Waiting for the kamaal ka twist that Ashish had mentioned.

    2. Want to share something from IF. Kind of related to the situation in rangrasiya. But useful for real life situations also.

  6. It's confirmed now....New story about Rudra and Myrah!
But will we loyal PaRud fans give them a chance? My mind says I should but the heart is unwilling.....

    1. Yeah my heart is unwilling too :-(
I wished the makers of the show didnt go with the soul connection thing and shiv-parvati angle. all this makes it so hard to accept what might be coming :-(

How someone can not miss Paro? She was so wonderful.

Also I think it would be better if they didnt go with a look a like. I am not trying to judge the new story arc without seeing it, but the makers are really making it hard not to judge them :-(

Hopefully the new sanaya character will have an past too with some issues, which she has to deal with.

    2. I think the ONLY reason I will give it a chance is because Sanaya is playing the new girl ... otherwise I would be out of here, and waiting for her new show. And that's probably what they're counting on.

I will really miss Paro! :( I hope they give the new girl some depth ... even more layers than Rudra ... make her a really different character on TV .. a woman with a sad past or something, who takes a lot more time to fall for Rudra than he does for her.

  7. Hope they don't rush into the track as usual.....need to see how Rudra copes with his loss and tries to be strong for his son. Also a chance for Mythali and a second chance for Mala to take care of Rudra......but will not hold on to many hopes from the CVs now...

  8. Dia, I really like your idea re : reformed Rudra. I also think AS hinted in an interview that the next phase of his life is how he's changed or something, so this would be a nice story to tell. But Paro's death is such a tragedy, very Shakespearean actually and really hard to swallow such is life (!)... I do wonder how the CVs will give this new season of Rangrasiya some depth and layers since its happened so abruptly. The original Rangrasiya was a pet project given lots of attention I think so I wonder how well etched out this Myrah will be. I have no doubt that SI and AS will rock but that only works if the story has depth.
It must be hard for creatives too, they've worked very hard with this story trying to make it work, they mucked it up and now they're using desperate attempts to fix it, killing the female lead is a huge risk for them i'm sure and they are also waiting with bated breath hoping to charge some life back into their show. As for fans, they'll move on. I always wonder why the writers/creatives are always so blase: dekhna hai to dekh, such is life, LOL, why cant they just be nice about it?
