Caught napping ... Rudra, leaving Paro tied up, blindfolded and helpless ... if he hadn't done that, then Shantanu's game was pretty much up today!
Shantanu ... did not expect Rudra's swift chase, the windows nailed shut, and did not expect to be caught with nowhere to go. Again, if Rudra hadn't conveniently blindfolded and tied Paro, his game was up today!
Mohini and Sumer ... they didn't expect Maithili to be accompanying Samrat ... that effectively put paid to their plans for Samrat's second shaadi ... but more on that tomorrow ;)
Samrat Maithili ... thought their troubles about his second wedding were over and done with ... they didn't bargain for Mohini's stubbornness.
I did expect Shantanu to engage in a pretend fight and emerge the hero ... I did not expect him to go the whole hog and actually shoot himself.
Did he shoot himself in the foot though? Because Rudra seemed to recognise that the shot was fired at very close range. The rescue seems to have convinced him that Shantanu is genuine ... or has it? Yet he goes off to the border, even though VK Singh has not actually called him.
The cvs are messing up here with Rudra's feelings ... probably due to JDJ.
Paro gentle care for Shantanu ... will it make a difference to the man? Or is he too black .. too bent on revenge? Loved her dialogue on fire .. it burns, yet it heals, it destroys, yet gives life.
Really did not like that Paro was found in that situation by Shantanu ... how thoroughly embarrassing for any woman. Uurrgh, Rudra ... and cvs ... wish you would write a man being found in an embarrassing situation for once!
Most of the episode was Samrat's kidnapping ... guess Ashish is very busy with JDJ this week. Didn't really miss him too much, to be honest ... I wish they had prolonged the Paro scenes instead of spending so much time on Samrat ... but I guess they don't want Paro getting too pally with Shantanu, in the light of Rudra's suspicions.
I'm looking forward to the Paro Maithili Shantanu scenes tomorrow ... how do Paro and Shantanu manage to reach Samrat in half an hour? Obviously the kidnappers were caught napping too!

You have to give it to Shantanu, he is quick on his feet! He was almost caught but he even used that situation for his advantage and ended up gaining Rudra's trust!!! or did he?? And looks like he is going to gain more brownie points with the entire family by helping rescuing Samrat too!! He get's these cute dimples even when he is having evil thought's that its tough to even get mad at him!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd we even get an explanation as to why Rudra was nailing all the window's shut and forgot to nail his bedroom window only!! idiot .:-/
But my question is by doing all these is he going to actually end up getting close to the entire family and take a second look at his agenda? He did not know that Mala was Tejawat's wife, so does this mean that he does not the entire truth about his brother and what they were all up to? Even in today's episode when Paro explained to him about her dialogue on 'Fire', I felt like he was considering what she said or was it just a glitch in Vishal's acting? Or like Dia sais he is completely black? Hmmm something to consider..., maybe?
Geetanjali managed to touch my heart again today, her helplessness and fear while chasing the goons, unable to rescue her husband, pleading with her mum-in-law for her husband's safety, damn you Mohini @#!*, but I guess there are women like her in real life too who would do anything to get a heir to their family, and on that note why is Mohini hell bent on Samrat's second marriage for a grandchild? Isn't her sidekick Sumer her own son too? Get him married her can produce a heir too, right?
All in all a watchable episode.
I'm wondering the same thing ... Shantanu does not know the entire story about Tejawat, Mala ... he didn't even know how PaRud got married? Or was he asking why Paro was so much in love with Rudra, despite Rudra being such a rough guy?
DeleteThink the cvs can take this any way, depending on response to the track. Vishal is doing a decent job, I did feel that he was softening very slightly towards Paro, from the extreme hatred of last week.
Sumer is Mohini's aankh ka taara .. she probably wants a rich young heiress for him ... money for herself of course is a must. Or maybe she's just happy to keep him dangling at her coattails ... she needs a side kick, after all.
Maithili was pitiful ... Geetanjali did a very good job.
Dia THANK YOU for pointing out about Paro's embarrassing situation, couldnt' there have been a more creative way of playing out this part rather than having her tied and blindfolded by her husband (kinky much ? )
ReplyDelete:( and then to be found like that by another man, CVs, please! where's the woman's dignity in all of this. I remember feeling just as annoyed when they made Khushi dance and sing in front of Arnav and his business partners at the office when she came to apologize for ruining his movie plans,
honestly it's a pet peeve of mine when they make the FL look foolish or humiliated like this :(
all in all a nice episode, Shantanu is crayzayyy in a bad way, yikes, definitely enjoying this track...
Kiran
This is TYPICAL GH ... that man is a fool!!! Almost all his shows have his heroines in some ridiculous situations like this ... in MJHT, it was Nupur, in IPK it was Khushi, here it's Paro ... I detest that idiot and his stupid ideas!
DeleteMills and boon influence. MB novels are supposed to be for females. But they are the most chauvinistic kind of books I have ever read. Don't know about the other serials. I think I skipped the khushi dance part in ipkknd. No wonder my sister complained that ipkknd was slightly chauvinistic. I saw ipk a year after it went off air. But my sis used to watch it regularly. Creative liberties!!!

ReplyDelete- Probably we should wait and watch how the story unfolds. For sure, Rudra didn't sound convinced. I thought he sounded sarcastic, when he told Paro that Shanthanu would take a bullet for her. May be Rudra learnt his lesson. He is trying to sound normal. So that Shanthanu thinks he has hoodwinked Rudra. May be Rudra has something up his sleeve. That's what I am guessing. But I am not sure.
@Morning Breeze: I second your opinion. What if the villain doesn't know about his elder brother's evil plans? What if he has a change of mind? When I saw the promos for this track, I was like... what is the need for extra negativity? Not that I cannot handle it, but it sure wouldn't help improving the TRPs. But surprisingly, this track is not so negative except for the initial dhak dhak moments during the acid attack and the Teej festival. Is it because of the good looking villain? Or is it because I watch the SBS/SBB segments and then watch the episode? :) :) The PH should seriously consider trying a different method for promoting the serial. But I must say that the promos were very scary. Especially the Teej one. Well.... will have to wait and see if Shanthanu changes his colors.
@Dia: This is the continuation of the previous post. I don't think it is a good idea to make Maithili the infertile one. The show is already bashed for showing women in poor light. Now people would say that the CVs have not even spared Maithili. It would be a different experience to see a guy accepting his lady who cannot mother a child. But not sure about the TRP audience. But interestingly, the female lead of Yeh hain Mohabatein is infertile. But the plot is completely different and I heard it is doing well. Just thought of mentioning.
Waiting for Shathabdhi express to arrive at Ranawat Haveli. :D :D
Madhu ... agree, Rudra did not sound too convinced ... and after watching the episode again, I feel he's taking VK Singh and Paro's advice, and trying to play it cool, not fly off the handle so much. He already jeopardised his job once.
DeleteI do want Shantanu to change ... under Paro's influence. That will prove both Paro and Rudra right ... Rudra, that Shantanu was the villain ... and Paro, that he deserves a chance at redemption. And I like the actor ... he has brought some lightness into the show, and he has good screen presence.
Re Maithili ... you have a point there. Lets see how the cvs take it ... will they even tell us who is the one at fault, or just leave it ambiguous, and pave the way for an adoption track? That might be an equally good way of showing it ... that it doesn't really matter who is at fault.
Since Ashish is busy with JDJ for the next 6-7 weeks, this would be a good follow up to Samrat's aborted wedding. That ... and of course, the major hungama that is about to hit the Ranawat haveli in the form of Shatabdi express :)))
Hi
ReplyDeleteAm usually a silent reader, and love reading your posts. I feel Rudra's suspicion of Shantanu has been strengthened.is leaving Paro in his protection is just so out of character... His whole relationship is about him being the protector! I think he's out to trap Shantanu in his own game.
@ Madhumita, sure hope they show Samrat to be the infertile one. Would be great to see this issue handled. In YHM, FL is infertile but the ML already has 2 kids from a previous marriage so not that big an issue, I think.
Hi, SF ... welcome to the blog! :) Yes, I agree ... on re-watch it seemed that way. Rudra is playing it cool he will be watchful and not make his suspicion so obvious. And of course, he had to cool down in time to go to the border ... since JDJ shoot is today!
DeleteOr the CVs are trying to keep their options open, especially since they now have a reprieve with change in time slot. If Ashish wants to opt out of RR, Shantanu will become the new knight in shining armour; if Ashish decides to stay with RR, then Shantanu can remain negative..............good move.
DeleteAgree with you ladies on leaving Paro blindfolded and tied - how could Rudra even contemplate leaving the room with her in such a defenceless position!?!
