7/7 - Epi 137 ... Plots and Plans

Monday 7th July

Birthday plans successfully carried out.

Revenge planning started.

And someone was in a great hurry for his honeymoon to start!

*edited - quick update*

I liked the episode ... am glad they ended the Mala track ... the scene was okay ... Rudra is happy now, and is ready to put a closure to the bitterness. Paro has changed his life, as long as she is around, nothing else is really important, not even the anger and bitterness he has carried within him for so long. So he's happy to see the entire family celebrating his birthday, but where is the most important person, without whom every celebration is incomplete? And when she emerges with his cake, he relaxes ... she didn't forget, of course she didn't, how could he have even thought she would? All this was her plan ... for which he promises her private retribution ... a retribution both of them will enjoy  Blushing
Cake cut ... he wants to give her the first slice, but she reminds him ... Bapusa and Maasa come first, the two people without whom he wouldn't be there ...
Paro is, and will always be, his conscience keeper.
And finally Rudra lets go of the bitterness ... he may never forget the wounds his mother's desertion gave him ... but at least he can understand she left for a reason ... it's over, it's in the past ... the wounds have started to heal, and he's ready to move on ... because he has found happiness in his life.
Happiness, in the shape of Paro ... to whom he turns to show the gift from his maasa ... like a boy showing his prized possession to his best friend.

The skit was unnecessary ... the only purpose it served was to serve up some light moments, and to show how far Rudra has come, that he has shed his shield of anger almost completely. For a man who used anger and fierceness as a shield to cloak his hurt, his vulnerability, whenever he was teased ... today he can smile and laugh when he is teased ... and can tease back.

Geetanjali ma'am does her job ... reminds Rudra he and Paro still haven't had their honeymoon yet ... and Rudra banna is keen to take off immediately ... not even allowing Paro to change her clothes! LOL So much hurry for the honeymoon?! LOL

The rest of the episode was devoted to the entry of the new villain ... whistle blowing brother of the dead Varun ... the CV's disclosed his identity very quickly. So yes, he has good reason for his vendetta ... his brother's widow married her husband's killer.

From the new BTS segments, the honeymoon is torpedoed ... yet again. Ouch

  1. Rudra seems to be keen on the Honeymoon plans, where's the fire dude? Oh wait I know ;-) he has been eager for sometime now after all has been constantly reminding Paro about their impending honeymoon and looks like that's not all in his mind, he has already stated to Paro what's her first punishment going to be for surprising him on his birthday!!;-)) Major saab seems to be in a naughty mood!!
Speaking of birthday Paro mentioned that it was Samrat who helped her by calling Rudra on his phone, I am assuming it was the threatening call? I found that was a pretty insensitive thing to do to Rudra, since the actual incident of the stalker was a recent thing!! What are they doing to Paro's character?
Oh God bless Geetanjali, everybody should get a Boss's wife who is so caring about her husbands subordinates!, sponsoring honeymoon tickets to the love birds, Rudra really looked thankful to her ;-))
So finally we come to know why the villain is waiting to extract revenge from Paro & Rudra, and Madhu-Mitha you were right on! Great prediction girl, you are good at this!! :-)

And forgot to add, everything is alright between Rudra & his mom now! Actually if you see her did not hate her even if he said so, it was more a feeling of betrayal and abandonment issues, which after knowing the entire truth about his parents relationship and the reason why his mother actually left and of course with Paro's help he finally was able to bridge the gap. Unfortunately I wasn't moved or felt anything during the scene, whether it was the actors fault or the maker's for their execution.. I don't know? ;-/

    1. Neither of the two, MB.............just put it down to the supersonic speed that RR gets through its tracks..............leaves us dissatisfied most of the times............kinda like jumping from appetizer to dessert - someone forgot to serve us the (promised) main course(s) at dinner..... :(((

    3. Lol ... between Friday and Monday, I actually forgot about the threatening phone call ... so wasn't too bothered. Paro did apologise for using that excuse, and was careful to deflect any anger Rudra might have felt at Samrat, back towards herself ... she can absorb Rudra's anger without it affecting her too much.
I guess she has seen so much of it, it doesn't bother her any more! And she knows he always regrets it later anyway ... besides, this is one time he was happy to forgive the ruse :)

I'm just glad they wrapped the Mala track ... they didn't do any justice to any of the main characters, so it's a relief they ended it. I wasn't moved much either ... it was more like Rudra saying, I don't really care any more, I've moved on.

Aki, you said it ... appetizer straight to dessert :))) Let's hope they do this villain track better.

  2. Girls,

Seems to be a good episode. Didn't watch it yet. But read the updates. If paro had forced samrat to make that threatening call to rudra, it would have been the most insensitive thing to do to him. Thank heavens, rudra is not his older self. Otherwise, such a stupid prank would have initiated a rudra thandav from him. The only thing that bugs me is the way the CVs are handling paro's character. Let her be dumb if you like, but please keep her consistently dumb. That is all I am asking. In retrospect, the same thing was done to khushi's character too. The sheetal track is one standing example. I watched ipkknd in a rush, so didn't notice much. It is a nice and different experience to know the guy's perspective. But not at the cost of the female lead's character. Anyways... Can't wait to go home to watch the epi. :) :)

  5. Not impressed with the way the show is progressing. Saw the episode and even though it was a light episode - some stuff just did not make sense and again they are butchering Paro's character. As if the fact that Paro (our gaon ki chori) making cake was not enough - now she's wearing jeans? And she makes Samrat call Rudra with that threat? Seriously? Why are they doing this? And please for heaven's sake- I don't want the Aman- Suneheri jodi. Bechara Aman- like I said before - bhaag Aman bhaag!

Like MB said, the episode was rushed and did not give the viewers time to digest what was going on.

And the villain! Omg - let's see if this one lasts as long as Laila did. I felt he was a lost lil' kid, not a scary killer. Why do I feel this one will also need TLC from Paro? She'll be playing momma again :p Why do they make these so- called macho men cry like babies?

    1. Seriously, can't GH be more creative? Does every soap of his have to have the same stuff? Paro and Khushi dressing up in weird outfits. It wasn't even planned or done well.

    2. The whole skit was unnecessary, and it wasn't even well done. Why would Paro show their private moments to the family? Stupid! I hope they're not going to butcher Paro's character the way they butchered Khushi. And again, the whole thing was rushed ... they should have kept the family celebration over the entire episode, maybe had a song or two ... and kept the villain for just the last scene at the end.

The villain is Varun's brother ... does he know the role Varun played in the whole arms smuggling drama, or is he genuinely under the impression that his brother was betrayed? If it's the former, it will be quite regressive, like an honour killing or something ... but if it is the latter, it could be a longer track, with him coming to realise Paro's innocence, then falling for her and that leading to Rudra's jealousy ... they can take it either way.

    3. Would not be surprised if they start off with the former and meander into the latter, Dia. The whole wedding was supposedly fake as it was a cover for arms smuggling - hence, no real family member came. Suddenly the groom's bro is concerned about his fake bhabhi's remarriage? Reads more like revenge.
