Today I need three posts ... for the three PaRud phases of the episode.
First - Rudra bane raudra ... intense Rudra, scared of only one thing ... losing Paro. Loved how Paro consoled him ... he needs to control his anger, and find the real culprit ... well, he HAS found the real culprit, now all he has to do is find the right technique to expose him. So far Rudra's is failing miserably in that one. Shantanu is playing him ... and all the rest ... like puppets on a string.
Shantanu tries to apologise to Rudra ... his fault that the saree got exchanged ... he should have been more vigilant ... you bet, he should have ... Rudra should have questioned him more closely there ... but Rudra is too angry to think straight. Shantanu playing Rudra again. 
As Mohini is trying to play Maithili and Sumer ... since she didn't succeed with vinegar, she's trying honey now ... for Maithili, that is ... lulling her into a false sense of security, while she continues with her plans.
She seems to be taking lessons from Shantanu 
Can't believe she actually plans for Samrat to be kidnapped and forced to sit at the wedding mandap. 
Sumer is hilarious in his five minutes of screen time. 
Felt very bad for Rudra in the scene with VK Singh ... didn't help that I agreed with VK Singh on almost everything ... except that he said it too late! Rudra HAS been too emotionally involved with the Tejawat case ... and he is even more emotionally involved here ... but this time it's not his judgement that is impaired, it's his execution. Since that is as important as judgement, he needs a time out ... but OMG ... leaving all the security to Shantanu? 
Much to Shantanu's delight ... everyone is playing into his hands very nicely. How sweet of Kakusa to inform VK Singh 
... wonder if Shantanu dropped a hint there. Wouldn't put it past him.

So Rudra throws another fit ... how dare VK Singh suggest he needs a psychiatrist, he's not crazy! Again calmed by Paro ... who realises he needs that break ... and suggests a honeymoon, But Rudra's pride and ego are too badly hurt at the idea that he might not be able to solve this case, so he refuses to go.
Pity.
For more reasons than one.
Shantanu watches PaRud hug ... does this man have ESP and a special telescope, that he can see everything PaRud are doing? 
And he swears ... till now, you lost your uniform and your job ... now you'll lose the one person you love madly, the person you can't live without.

So the next attack will be directly on Paro.
Put into action ... by sending off all the family on a trip ... leaving Rudra and Paro conveniently alone ... much to Paro's delight ... what a sweet guy Shantanu is, trying to make up for Rudra's anger.
So she gets everything all set for a romantic evening at home ... unfortunately Rudra isn't in the mood. *head desk*
Rudra is crazy all right ... would any normal guy turn down his beautiful wife whom he's crazily in love with, when she's practically throwing herself at him?
And why was he hammering random nails into windows? I hope he was sealing off all the peepholes Shantanu has found into their bedroom! 
Loved the song Sawaar Loon ... and the cute naughty Paro ... after a few near misses, finally Rudra caves in ... and becomes all caveman and carries her off ...
Ok ... she meant it as a joke ... Rudra banna is getting kinky ... blindfold and hands tied?
And he's definitely lost his brains ... a stranger in the house, lights are off ... and he leaves Paro with blindfold and hands tied, and goes off to investigate? *HEAD DESK!!!!*
Precap was really scary .. Shantanu facing a tied blindfolded helpless Paro with a loaded gun ... am very sure he will pretend to have saved her from a stranger, thereby deepening Paro's trust in him even further ... and worsening Rudra's confusion ... and temper.
Sanaya was beautiful today, Paro's many moods ... friend, wife, mother, confidante, teasing lover ... Paro played them all ... switching from mood to mood to comfort Rudra, give him confidence, try to divert his mind and control his anger. And she looked like a dream in the white and silver lehnga 
Ashish was equally good as the raging Rudra who is slowly losing his balance in his helplessness and fear for Paro's safety ... his control slipping more and more ...
Vishal is doing surprisingly well as Shantanu ... he has the chocolate boy cute looks ... darn those dimples! 
... and he brings the menace into his expressions and his voice at the right time. Shantanu definitely has the upper hand at the moment.

AAARGGHHH.....Satyanash, cliffhanger!! Have to wait for 24 more hours :-(
ReplyDeleteDimply, Wretched Shantanu, is up to no good alright we already knew that but the mind games, good god, this guy is is 'baap' of Tejawat , Laila & Mohini combined!!! The feeling of helplessness is even felt by us viewers, must say Vishal is getting better at this day by day ;-)
VK Sing's advice to Rudra was bang on that, your impatience/anger is going to ruin everything you built. Even I feel Rudra does need anger management classes!
Mohini and her sidekick ( Sumer ) as usual are busy scheming, how successful they are going to be with this? Hmm.....
P.S. I love the song Sawarloon, and liked the sequence in the episode too:-)
And poor Rudra for a guy with track record of 8 saal har raat, all his attempts to a lovey dovey moments with his wife seem to doomed :-(
Mujhe Rudra par bahut doubt ho raha hai ... 8 saal har raat, seriously? Beautiful biwi wants to go on honeymoon, she dresses up to romance him, and the guy wants to hammer random nails in random walls? Rudra banna, tera kuch nahin hoga, kaalia!!!

Raudra has several ways of interpreting it in different languages, in kannada 'Raudra avataar' is associated with Lord Rudra/Shiva when he is in his angry/anger- mood/emotion, followed by the events that occur because of his anger. Hope this helps and I haven't made it even more complicated! ;-)

DeleteAm I the only one not too bummed? I was expecting this ... especially with the latest TRPs. Also news of Colors being taken over by Reliance is official, so they will take a good look at the channel ... I feel a re-vamp is coming up. All their shows are struggling.

DeleteSince hints have been dropped that Sanaya has another project to go, I am not disappointed. I do hope RR takes a graceful bow as the curtains close. The PH gave us a tremendous opening of a show and I hope, in future, that they get to tell the story they initially wanted to.

Oh really?? Has Sanaya been signed up for a new project? And Morning Breeze also posted about Ashish's film offer, though I could not find anything about it online. Too bad. :( The show is getting interesting these days. By the way, anyone knows the TRP rating for RR for the last week?

Loving your updates as usual, another thing I can't do without is this place.

Hi Lin, good to see you here! RR will be here till October for sure, and maybe till December. News is that Reliance has taken over Colors, so while I'm sure the channel is headed for a major re-vamp, judging by how badly their fiction shows are doing, I'm also sure they won't rush to take them all off air.
DeleteI'm with Madhu ... I would love for RR to complete a full year before it goes off air. But at least it's on till October, when BiggBoss8 starts ... even after that, there will probably be a time slot change, and it may stay on air for a while longer.
There are rumors galore that Sanaya already has a couple of offers post RR, so I'm not worried either. I'm glad that we got to see the love story in RR without it being torpedoed by the hero's movie ambitions or in this case, dance ambitions (which are actually a gateway to movie plans ... sooooo .... ) ... But at least he was/is professional enough to continue on the show, and give it his best ... and most importantly, we have gotten pretty much the story we were promised.
I still wish we had gotten a better written Paro in many parts ... let's hope the writers rectify that part for this track.
Overall, a good episode. Full of Rudra and Paro except the 5 minutes of Sumer, Mohini and Shathabhdhi's daddy scene. I wonder if Samrat is the one who could not father a child. Just remembered the scene, in which Mohini apologizes to Maithili for her behaviour. Maithili is about to say something, but she is interrupted. I hope in the kidnapping sequence, Sumer gets kidnapped instead of Samrat. :D :D That would be fun to watch. Serves him right for kidnapping his sis-in-law instead of Parvati.
ReplyDeleteNow the villain has entered Paro-Rudra's bedroom. Seriously, these two don't have privacy at all. The precap is scary. The new villain is way too smart for the Ranawat family. Wonder when someone will get a hint of the actual truth behind Shanthanu. The new track is building up very well, the pace is also not so hurried, yet it keeps the show interesting. Initially, I thought that this track might lead to another track. Basically a separation track. But after reading the article about reliance taking over colors, I am not too sure. Not able to predict anything as of now. Not about the outcome of this track.
Well, I am glad that the PH has found a person who can portray Shanthanu well. I was always confused about Laila. Whether the actress was bad or her characterization. I guess both. Because I never had any troubles liking Mohini, even though she is the mother of all vamps. I mean, Ananya is way too good and apt for the role of Mohini. Tejawat was good. It is a pity that he didn't last long in the show. But the new villain is doing really well. May be not as good as Mohini, but definitely way better than Laila. Now, I see why people didn't want Laila.
True, Madhu ... this guy is acting much better than Ankita did as Laila ... also, much better than I expected, I admit. Despite knowing how evil he is, I find myself liking him ... Laila never managed to build that sympathy for herself, despite being badly treated by Rudra.
DeleteI initially wanted Samrat to be the one with the problem about having a baby ... now I'm in two minds, It would be nice to show a couple accepting the wife's inability to conceive, and the husband accepting her regardless ... rather than a husband's inability, and the wife accepting it ... and accepting him. I REALLY want Sumer to get kidnapped and married in Samrat's place ... that would be total fun ... and having Shatabdi as Mohini's DIL would open up a hilarious comic track. That actress is decent in comic scenes.
I hope Rudra was nailing the windows of Parud's bedroom shut ... don't want the villain to keep peeping in! What happened to all his cameras, though? Are they still there?
Rudra is off to the border ... or rather, Ashish is off for JDJ, so we will get more of Shantanu-Paro. Which I don't mind ... they are cute together, especially when Shantanu is being all smiley and gooey. They have to make this track last seven weeks ... someone said the JDJ final is 7 weeks away.
