... or, tere pyaar mein kya kya na bana ... waiter hi sahi ... =))
Putting all thoughts of new promo aside, let's enjoy the Arhi moments we're getting this week.
Arnav Singh Raizada, business tycoon, no-nonsense, khadoos, cynical, 'doesn't believe in love' type of person, takes off coat, rolls up sleeves and gets down to helping his lady love with her next problem ... serving her guests. And Khushi is shell-shocked ... can't take her eyes off him ... is he feeling all right? What has changed him so much? He doesn't even lose his temper at being called a waiter ... Khushi is more shocked than he is, and far more apprehensive at what his reaction might be ... then even more dumbfounded as he doesn't bother at all, and just continues serving the food ... and she quickly clarifies with her aunt who he is ...
She does try to ask? to stop him ... but all he replies, very matter-of-factly, is ... "you needed help, right?" as though that's all the explanation required ...as though it's understood, only natural, that when she needs help, he'll be there ...
Methinks she should have introduced him earlier to the relatives, but she seems to be struck dumb! :) And struck even dumber as he tucks her hair behind her ears ... picks up the leftover plates, and finally leaves ... stopping to tell her with the smallest of smirks ... "You can thank me in the evening," ... her mouth drops even further open ... Khushi is in shock!And he leaves with a final smirk ... how he loves getting the last word with her and leaving her shocked and speechless! :"> :)
It would have been cute if she'd recovered enough to run after him to say thanks .. only to find he'd already left :) ... and whispered it to herself while watching his car, with another of those soft smiles.
Also loved that little bit of teasing when she asks him to rescue the corner plate before it falls, he deliberately misunderstands till she starts shooting off again "don't you understand what corner means?" ... he promptly rescues the right one ... and smirks ... as though he was just waiting for that motormouth to start again, waiting for Khushi to start firing again (although her firing was much milder than normal!) ... because that's the girl he loves to see ... always fighting, challenging him, never backing away ... her spirit is what he loves best about her ...
Arnav definitely doesn't want a Gopi vhau!!! =))
And I'm happy ... I always feel that teasing, laughing together are a HUGE part of any relationship ... I love seeing this teasing Arnav with the flabbergasted Khushi!
Next Arhi meeting - cv's being very meherban ... and killing time till Anjali's accident ;) ... Khushi instructed by Buaji to escort her relatives to RM ... for the wedding? And the flicker of confusion in her face, before she leaves ...
So Guptas have relatives after all? Where were they all for Khushi's engagement? Or was it not required that they be informed, as it wasn't the real daughter's engagement?
RM - Mami starts wondering about the missing Anjali ... Guptas' family arrives, and lo and behold, they all are respectable business/trader type people with shops/small businesses ... much to Mami's chagrin ... as Mausiji informs her that even the big malls are supplied by these very small traders ... :)
And Khushi starts looking for Arnav ... sweet, the ways cv's show the two-way traffic ... in the morning, Arnav looking around for a sight of Khushi, and now, Khushi's eyes searching for him ... ;)
Nani - Cupid-n-chief - notices, and asks ... :) ... Khushi starts to leave ... and Arnav emerges ... and she stops :) :">
Honestly, if Nani didn't already know, she'd figure it out now ... the way these two just can't keep their eyes off each other :"> ... the question in her eyes as he walks down ... 'are you leaving?' ... the searching look Nani throws Arnav - is he going? When I set this up so good ;) ... then he stops and pulls out his phone as Khushi keeps darting him looks ... she picks up a sari she likes, then looks at him for his reaction, but he's busy with his phone, and she's disappointed as she looks down - he's not going to say anything about the saris for her, he's too busy with work ...
Nk pipes up ... he likes the other one ...
And the aankhon aankhon mein conversation starts ... as Arnav says brusquely "ghatiya hai," as soon as NK proffers his choice, Khushi looks at him and he looks back, and she realizes slowly he's talking to her, telling her what he wants ... looking at him, back at the sari, as it sinks in ... slowly understanding him and his oblique words ...
NK pushes for his choice, and Khushi finds it difficult to ignore him, but Arnav chimes in again "if you feel both are nice, choose the one you liked first," ...
Nani prompts again, "Have you decided?" ... Khushi starts to accept NK's choice, Arnav does not look happy, and she changes her mind quickly with a radiant smile ... his choice ... and the smallest of exchanged smiles, his smile satisfied, happy, hers shy, blushing ...
Nani commends her choice ... NK gives in cheerfully ... and Nani lets loose a small salvo, just to let them know she's on to them and their secret conversations ... both Arnav and Khushi look guiltily embarrassed at being caught ... and Khushi leaves quickly ... not before another questioning backward look at Arnav, and a hesitant smile ... 'this is what you liked, isn't it ?'
Slowly Khushi is learning to read him, to understand that he will not say what he means straight out, she has to read the signs, read his eyes, his actions ... open her heart and read his ...
And just in time ... because when the Shyam truth hits, she will need all that understanding to deal with him ... manage him and her own feelings, and make sure they don't go back to where they were ...
Akash - Arnav - glad the cv's have recognised the appeal of this bromance ... the brothers scenes are always nice ... and this one served two purposes ... reinforced to Arnav how deeply Akash loves Payal, so he won't let that wedding break in a hurry ... and Akash also showed Arnav 'how many ways do I love thee?' ... what he feels for Khushi is love ... that he can't bear to see her hurt, he wants to do anything that could bring a smile to her face ...
A very sweet Khushi-Payal scene ... Khushi has packed momentos for Payal, including her beloved Devi Maiyya ... And Payal won't leave a single one. She will be with Khushi always ... her silent support ... don't depend on her doing much :p, but she will always back her and defend her as best she can.
And Anjali's car continues on its way ... precap - so there will actually be an accident? Can't be a very major one, otherwise Arnav wouldn't be planning his confession ...

I agree...lets deal with the shyaam exposure when it comes...and honestly its better that it happen before anything concrete(like engagement)happens between them.
ReplyDeleteI loved this episode...like you said CV's are being generous. Maybe so that later on we have something to reminiscence about;-) Loved Khushi's reaction to Arnav being called a waiter. She knows him and his ego so well she starts hyperventilating before he can even react, and then poor thing is so utterly shocked at this new and 'in love' Arnav that she cant get her wits about her.
Found the katori scene very cute...showed us a different side of Arnav. He's always so intense, whether he shouting at people, brooding angrily or grabbing khushi in their rabba ve moments. In this scene he's pulling her leg- and not in a sarcastic challenging way. I like that Arnav does have a fun side too, albeit repressed, it surfaces sometimes with Anjali and that he's comfortable being like that with Khushi is very telling:-D
Did anyone else feel like the sari scene was sort of like Khushi openly yet wordlessly letting Arnav know that she chooses him and not NK ?Not that we ever had a doubt;)
He was looking at her so expectantly genuinely wondering...like maybe he wasn't totally sure she preferred him over NK.
And of course Nani reads the situation sooo well love her subtle yet obvious innuendo:-p and she commends her on her 'choice'...hehehe...Nani's expressions and eyebrow raises rock!!!
Arnav helping out Khushi, Khushi floored and happy. Waiter thing as expected went off cooly now why didn't that particular relative apologize to Aranv, sorry beta, pata nahin tha..See these are small things which could have been added.

Saree scene - We have seen it before, still too cute. NK all enthu selects a saree for her, her eyes are on Arnav.
Okay was it me or did you guys feel that Arnav barely looked at the saree, he just wanted her to pick what she liked and not what somebody else picked especially if that person was NK, lol.
Andddddddddd..how CUTE was Nani, who does not miss a single thing.
Why are Gupta Family guests coming to RM earlier, shouldn't they be coming with the bride?
And what happened to Bindi scene, is it tomorrow.
Unfortunately Anjali gets hurt, expected that..the question is how bad?

akash-arnav scene like you said always a treat to watch. One more round of realization, better than the previous nite one.
What if Arnav has no clue anjali is hurt? Shyam says he has harmed Anjali for kHUSHI AND arnav finds out anjali is hurt and gets furious that he came this close to losing his di because of khushi.
Hey Shwetha.....just had a nasty thought.......what if Arnav hears Khushi asking Shyam to leave Anjali and then hears about the accident and thinks that Khushi must've messed with the brakes as she has always messed with his car.....remember the sugar in the car, removing the petrol for nainital, then changing his car tyre during payash rishta

ReplyDeleteOk, more comments - I also felt the serving lunch scene needed to be fleshed out more - when Khushi says he's no waiter, he's ASR, the Mausiji should have said sorry beta, or some such thing ... there wasn't even an apologetic expression on her face! Considering the waiters and servants have always been great, this was a blooper ... even the waiter at the restaurant during the Payash track was good ...
Ditto on the Akash Arnav - when did Arnav ask about love? Akash just started talking, and Arnav was reminiscing ...
Loved the way Khushi gets up to go, sees Arnav and stops short, and Nani obligingly gives her an excuse to stay ... sweeeeet Nani! And LOVED the way she caught Arnav bitwa ... you can stop pretending to be on the phone now - she's chosen the sari you wanted!
I think Arnav liked red anyway ... and he didn't want her to choose NK's choice ... loved the way he prrromptly said "ghatiya hai" ... and Khushi for once was NOT tubelight and realized that he was talking about sari, and not about business :) ...
Loved the way she was so disappointed that he was ignoring her ... and brightened immediately when she realized he was actually concentrating on her only :)
I liked the saree scene for many reasons - it was one of those very sweet, hesitant new-found love scenes, where both are tentative, exploring each other, he's being all ASR of course, yet he wants her to choose his choice - he's not very obvious about it, but he sees that she liked the first one, and he wants her to keep that one only, and not bow down to NK's choice ... and she wants his opinion, his approval, wants to make sure she's choosing the one he liked.

ReplyDeleteOh btw, the trp of this week is 4.4 up from 4.3. Hope CVs stick to the original story line and keep airing promos.
The other top 3 contenders do not have strong competiton unlike Is pyaar ko which has to compete iwth Balika vadhu..So credit to our show that it is doing so well.

But since this is ASR we are talking about, who would be downright insulted if Khushi sleeps anywhere but on his bed *wink*, This is how post the hate/anger marriage bedroom convo go, (My imagination)::::
Khushi: Where should I Sleep?
ASR: On the Bed
Khushi: Where will you sleep?
ASR: On the Bed...It is a double bed you know.
So bindi scene to look forward to tonite and the last segment would be Anjali's crash.
Yippee, TRP's are up ... I hope they don't go down with the next twist ... but I doubt it ... Shyam's exposure brought higher TRP's also ...
ReplyDeleteYep, IPK has the max competition - BV, HD and KTLK -
HD is very cliched, with its bechari always sacrificing mother India,
BV I think has a different audience, more the saas-bahu type - having said that, my mom used to watch BV avidly, she has switched completely to IPK ...
KTLK might have been serious competition, being the same genre of show - romance, more urban-based, more slick and targeting a similar sophisticated type of audience, but that has not clicked ...
Apparently even Mahadev on Life OK is not doing badly - so four shows as competition, and IPK is now established slot-leader, it's displaced BV which hasn't happened ever since BV started, I think ... so its really doing well.
Saathiya has NO competition - I don't think any channel has a show on at 7 ;)
9 pm has PR and DABH - I think DABH is doing well again because lots of saas-bahu stuff is happening, although the main theme is about an educated woman - I can see the appeal actually - middle class women trying to balance education and career as well as home, and there is enough saas-bahu stuff for the masses ... and PR is old and stale now ... probably (never watched it so can't really comment)
even YRKKH - I've watched episodes off and on and can see the appeal - there is no drama, it's basically something almost everyone can relate to, so it's watchable ... and they hyped the baby's birth like anything - I don't think its TRP's will stay high forever ... and again, not much competition on other channels...
SP has really hit jackpot with its current line up ... hope this new track of IPK isn't too painful or too long, because that tends to turn viewers off.
Till then - let's celebrate the TRP's :)))
