Lordy, what a lot of drama ... they eloped and got married, for heavens' sake, they didn't exactly commit murder.
Unless it was murder of all those paramparas and parivar ki izzat nonsense that Anjali was mouthing ... which century is she living in?! :-o
It was good to see Arnav finally get tired of the drama ... he had had enough. What was all the fuss about ... true, he did a mistake, but he married a girl they all liked and had already picked out for him ... Make a fuss, all right ... but acting as though the end of the world had arrived ... :-&
I liked Anjali's face when he told her he and Khushi would leave if their relationship was not accepted ... she looked like her world would end. Obviously, who would finance her million and one puja's for her loving husband?
Was it a filler to give Sanaya some break time to recover? She barely had any dialogues at all, and the couple of lines she had, were dubbed.
Rather liked Mami being all scornful about Payal's goody-two-shoes attitude ... what are you hoping to achieve by not giving prasad to your sister? And rubbing it in that Khushi is now officially Payal's jethani ... Payal seemed okay yesterday, but this morning she was all holier-than-thou ... and not even conflicted about it.
Anjali is dangerous ... pure and simple. She might come round this time, and insist on a re-marriage with all the rituals ... but in future. she could be very dangerous ... she likes getting her own way in RM, and doesn't like it when Chotey is not under her thumb. What is she going to do when he and Khushi get closer and closer? The fact that Arnav did something without telling her was bad enough, what was worse was that he shared it with someone other than her. Anjali bitiya, you have to realize Arnav might grow up one day and get tired of being attached to your pallu all the time ... and if you paid less attention to him, and more to your own husband, you might have a better marriage. It really seemed that Anjali was clinging on to her mother's kangan because she wanted them for herself ... symbolism in that too ... that she wasn't willing to give away her Chotey to anyone else.
I was glad Nani brought up Arnav's father again ... I thought they had forgotten about that part. Liked the instinctive looks Arnav and Khushi exchanged during the scene ... silently together in their shared mistake ...
Didn't like it at all when Anjali said in the precap that Khushi will never be accepted as a Raizada bahu ... will she go on tomorrow to add the rider about re-marriage? Hope so.

On second watch, after the initial irritation of the glycerin overdose subsided, I realized that there were a few subtle points made in the episode.
One - Khushi is the elder Raizada bahu, no one can withhold or bestow that right, she has it already by virtue of being Arnav's wife. Even more so, because Arnav is the karta-dharta, the decision maker of the house - the real head. So the question of inviting her to attend the aarti doesn't arise - it is her right. Besides, no one can stop anyone from entering a temple - a temple is where only God's will holds sway, not mortals'.
More as the episode progresses ...
Anjali starts the aarthi alone - she is alone in spite of being married ... in spite of being the de facto authority in the house - although it is an authority that has been bestowed upon her, not hers by right. Especially now that her brother is married - that right belongs to his wife.
Payash enter together ... they will stand together during all the drama to come ...
Two - the diya holding - a related point - Anjali holding the thaali, stumbles, Payal reaches to help ... the diya flickers, and it is Khushi who saves it.She may not be allowed to hold the thaali yet, but she is still the guardian. She hasn't been accepted and given her rightful place yet, but it is hers - the position and the responsibility.
A sombre aarthi ... Mami lets loose another salvo - Khushi attending aarthi, uninvited - like I said, she doesn't need any invitation ...
Payal asks Di for permission to distribute prasad ... Payal stepping carefully, not putting a foot wrong, but still seems very keen to take over the role of Raizada bahu as soon as possible. And what was that about not giving the prasad to Khushi? As Mami very rightfully pointed out, what was she trying to prove? And Mami points out another change in equation - Khushi is the elder bahu of the house now.
Mami staying true to character - not losing any opportunity to put down either of the sisters, but her words hold a ring of truth ...
And all hell breaks lose and they discover Nani has not taken Lakshmi for a walk (digression - do goats go for walks?! Never knew that one! =)) ) ... but is locked in her room. As the rest of the family runs, Shyam seizes the opportunity to talk to Khushi ... is the guy seriously delusional or what? Asking her why she did this, got married, as though firmly convinced that yes, she is in love with him ...
She runs just as Arnav enters, but he sees her, knows Shyam and she were talking ... so the misunderstanding will continue ... was Arnav out the whole night?
He will talk to Khushi later, if he does ... but his face as he strides up to Shyam shows exactly what he's going to say ... I told you to stay away from my wife ...
Before he can say anything, the Nani drama starts ... as usual, Anjali paranoid, quick to believe the worst ... mami quick to point fingers at both sisters, Payal's accusatory look at Khushi ... Khushi's guilt again ...
Arnav breaks the door down ... Anjali starts waterworks again, Nani has fever ... someone do something ...
All Anjali acually does is cry, though ... asks Shyam to samjhao Nani - samjhao her what? To not have fever? Shyam slides in a glib line about being worried for Anjali, earning him a glare from Arnav ... Payal starts to get water for Nani, Khushi has beaten her to it ... while everyone else is crying and wailing, Khushi quietly goes ahead and does what is needed - another similarity between her and Arnav ... but of course, Payal has to be the one to actually give the water, as Khushi is currently in disgrace ... Arnav starts to call the doctor, Anjali refiuses ... he is in disgrace, they can do without him, thank you very much, Akash is the dutiful son, he will do the needful ...
Anjali sending Arnav on a guilt trip again ... as manipulative as Shyam here ... emotional blackmail her biggest weapon. And Khushi sees Arnav's hurt, and feels his pain ... how can Anjali do this to him?
And both Arnav and Khushi stand isolated from their families, from the sisters for whom they have taken this step ... the sisters who refuse to understand them, and can only crib and sulk that they were not taken into confidence ...
So point three .. Arnav and Khushi are in this together ... they only have each other because their families have turned their backs on them ... even though Khushi doesn't know why Arnav did what he did, she stays quiet, and does what she has to ... enough trust in him to know he has to have had a reason, and a good one at that ...
Anjali lets loose at Arnav again, his letting down the family ... he and Khushi ... and not telling her the reason ... of everything, that seems to be pinching her the most, how could Chotey not tell her? After all, she loves him the most, she wanted Khushi for him ... why did he do things this way? How could he leave her out of the loop?
Nani is more worried about the past ... is Arnav more like his father than she thought? And feared? And Arnav gives Anjali a look - their shared past, their shared pain ... and he leaves the room ... his usual reaction, because when his pain gets too much to bear, he hides from everyone.
And Khushi registers the conversation ... puzzled, thinking, wondering ... starting to see more layers in Arnav than she had ever seen earlier ...
Point four ... the past raising its head again ... will it finally be revealed during this track or will it go into hibernation again?
Anjali crying over her mother's letters and kangans ... again, it seemed to be all about her ... her Chotey, and what he had done to her ... Anjali is one possessive sister, she has to come first in her brother's life, and it seems to be killing her that he didn't confide this to her, that there is someone else who shares a part of him that she doesn't.
With La, it was never a problem ... La was as subservient to Anjali as the rest of the house, she needed Anjali's help to get through to Arnav, Anjali's and Khushi's ... so Anjali's position in Arnav's life was unchallenged. But now, that position is shaken ... Khushi was always able to get through to Arnav, but she always did so on Anjali's request, at Anjali's urging ... as far as Anjali knew. Anjali has no clue of the bulk of the ArHi close encounters ... the kiss she saw was just the tip of the iceberg. But now, suddenly, Khushi seems to be privy to a part of Arnav which he is refusing to share with Anjali ... how can he do that, when Anjali is and should be everything to Arnav?
Arnav doesn't think so ... he's had enough. Di, how long is this drama going to continue?
Anjali appalled ... you call this drama? Do you even realise what you've done?
What's done is done, the sooner you all accept it, the better.
No, she won't ... and as he makes to leave, she stops him firmly ... is he beginning to see a new, stronger, less recognised side of his sister? Will he realize that she is not as fragile as she looks? That she manipulates people through emotions as much as he does through money and power?
He agrees he made a mistake, but the family has to accept that he and Khushi are married. (Thought he had told Khushi that he would never acknowledge her as his wife? Another promise down the wind ... like the others where he vowed to stay away from her, to never speak to her again, to not think about her ... ;) )
She tries again to tell him how he has broken the parampara, the izzat, etc. of the house ...
Enough! If you can't accept this rishta ... Khushi and I will leave this house.
(side note ... balle balle =)) ... Khushi and he ... not him alone.
Second side note - but of course, he can't leave Khushi alone in the house, vulnerable to the advances of the Snake ... she has to stay with him, where he can keep an eye on her and on Snakewa's activities. Chalo, whatever the reason ... )
And Anjali shell-shocked ... a repeat of the Lavanya track .. except that this is a darn sight better, isn't it ... they're married, he was going to live in with Lavanya, for Gods' sake ...
Oh well, there had to be high drama to force Arnav to agree to go through all the rasams and a proper wedding ... so be it ...
So Anjali caresses her mother's kangans again ... honestly, I felt NO sympathy for her in this episode, she came across as selfish, manipulative, possessive and completely non-understanding ... Khushi had no clue why Arnav had done what he had done either, Khushi was by far the more injured party, yet she quietly stood behind Arnav, her questions only in private ... in front of his family, she was silent, supportive ... an equal partner in his crime ... even if she didn't know why.
And the way Anjali caresses the kangans and then looks determined, made me certain Khushi is not going to get those kangans in hurry - not from Anjali. I don't mind that - I want Arnav to be the one who gives them to Khushi ... puts them on her hands himself, in full acknowledgment that she is the girl his mother would have wanted for him.
More Nani histrionics ... Khushi brings fruit, rudely refused ... Khushi almost lets out that she herself didn't know ... but then she stops ... did Payal get that hint?
Nani-Anjali ... okay, I seriously didn't understand this bit. Arnav didn't cross the family's maryada by bringing in a live in girl-friend, one Nani never approved of at first .. heck, Nani and Anjali brought her in, even welcomed her with aarthi, trained her to become a good bahu ...
But by eloping, that too, with a girl they all liked, he crossed that maryada ... how is this worse than that? Because he did it without their consent? Is a live in relationship more acceptable than a runaway marriage?
Apparently so ... and bringing in their mother again, seems to imply that the skeleton in the Raizada closet is related to an elopement or runaway marriage. So both Nani and Anjali are firm ... they will not accept Arnav so easily.
I think this is leading up to the re-marriage with all the embellishments, but they're sure taking a long time and lots of drama to do it ... I hope the past does come out during this track, though ...
Precap got me mad ... Khushi will not be accepted as Raizada bahu ... Khushi shocked, Arnav even more so ... and angry ... Anjali had better insist on the re-marriage and nothing else ... or I will be rooting for Arnav to walk out with Khushi ...
Lordy, what a lot of drama ... they eloped and got married, for heavens' sake, they didn't exactly commit murder.
Unless it was murder of all those paramparas and parivar ki izzat nonsense that Anjali was mouthing ... which century is she living in?! :-o

ArHi all the way - Bheed main bhi tanhaaye
ReplyDeleteA slow paced episode, lots of drama but some key messages were set.
Khushi saves the diya while both Anjali and Payal are holding it. She is their guadian angel though both do not know. She comes to the arti cos yes it is her house (mamiji's univited comment).
Khushi avoids Shyam - loser still thinks she will give him any "ghaas". He would have got it from Arnav today but for the Nani distraction.
Anjali tells mamaji and Akash to check on Nani. She openly tells chotte not to bother calling the doc. She tells Nani at the end that she has not come to cover for chotte nor will she be able to forgive him so soon this time
Shyam notices the emerging cracks b/w arnav and Anjali - will he go the way of breaking that to get back at Arnav for marrying Khushi (Opti and I had discussed this in the 21st Feb comments).
Nani did bring up the father - I had mentioned this in one of my comments on the 21st Feb post. She will come around eventually but it will be a while. Some old wounds have been opened and her trust in 2 people she loved esp Khushi has been broken.
Akash reluctantly assumes the mantle of Anjali's bro. He totally feels for his bro and Khushi but will he speak up in the same vein he did when he told his mother in no uncertain terms that Payal is whom he will marry? I think he will if he is given a reason to defend his bro and bhabhi. He will stand by silently but he will support Arhi.
Payal will not speak up anytime soon. She is still trying to get into the good books of her MIL. Her lucky stars, mamiji has a new target in Khushi so Payal may hear less of it.She did not even show any disgust for Shyam when giving him prasad
Parallels / ArHi - 2 lives 1 soul
Both did it / still do it for their sisters
Both sisters are hurt and are making no qualms about avoiding their siblings. Both siblings are miserable coz of this.
On Mon / Tue, Khushi became an orphan again. Today, Arnav lost the love and trust of his Di and Nani - he is an orphan today. Khushi told Arnav and he felt for her. Today she saw it happen and felt his pain.
Both still care for the family but the family is hell bent on not forgiving them and distancing them. ArHi are gonna be isolated and they better start being there for each other
Their pain is going to be the uniting factor for now. Well it always has been. Their sad experiences in life, burdens borne for family and insecutities are what they have always had in common.
It is not only Khushi's agneepareeksha but Arnav's too. His family sets him aside plus he will have to bear every harsh word thrown by them at Khushi. He knows he is the cause for it so he will hurt with her.
Even if they continue to stay in the house, they have a very bumpy ride ahead.
Precap / The New Promo:
My take - He will ask to leave the house with her. He has already told his Di that if they cannot accept the relationship he and khushi will leave. But that was his decision; will khushi agree?
He is going to agree to the wedding and parampara stuff for Khushi (so that she may have a family, she may belong). If she is not accepted as a bahu, she has nowhere to go. He cannot leave her alone as his threat to Shyam about staying away from his wife cannot be enforced. He cannot leave with her as he needs to watch out for his Di.
Will wait and see how this pans out....
Yeah the diya bit was some nice symbolism...She is literally destroying her life for these two dimwits who are grudging her space to stand in the house of God...
DeleteI don't know I'm kind of enjoying Manodrama right now...goes to show some things never change... At least she says what she has to on the face. And her vapid comments are a nice ice breaker sometimes. lol.
Character consistency - always brutally honest. sometimes you like it and sometime you don't but I only speak facts. Also she is the most tuned into reality - she was the one who made a comment on shyam touring so much and perhaps gaving an affair.
DeletePayal and Anjali want to keep the rose tinted glasses on at any cost cos they r just not willing to see the world as it is. They have had sheltered lives whereas mami like khushi has come up from the ranks.
Like Dumbeldore said, Voldemort perceived the half blood child to be of more danger to him than the pure blood child born at the same time; the pure blood status that he valued so much
Hang on are you HP fan?!! Whoa...you just quoted Dumbledore out of an HP book. officially kinship.
DeleteI think I used a HP reference below at the same time...:-s
Gargi,
DeleteHP, Narnia and LOTR fan !! - will chk out the HP reference. I also liked your Narnia time reference in the earlier post :)
So who do you think Khushi resembles more Hermoine or Ginny?
Arnie boy has to be Aragon...;)
Absolutely Aragon...dream...and he's so much cuter than viggo mortenson...She's fiesty like Ginny...But Khushi is Arwen!... the flowing hair, the pull to do what's right for her family, and Arwen's tough too;-)
DeleteHAA ... ditto to all your points ... some key points made and reinforced today...
DeleteHello, HP fans here ... balle balle!!!
And agree about Arnav now having to agree to all the rasams and a full wedding ... he can't leave with or without Khushi - he wants to keep all three under his eyes ... Khushi, Shyam and Anjali.
Bheed may bhi Tanhai...very well said.
DeleteLoser thinks she will give him ghaas cos uska Phoose (Fuse) ud gaya hai.
Wohoo HP fans, cool.
Gargi: Mami is a relief these days, she does not cry and says the obvious thing and the way she is made to say it takes away the sting too. She is incredibly protective about Anjali and Arnav too, I am hoping the day she finds out Shyam has been cheating on Anjali and has been harassing Arnav's wife, she too will have something to say and do. The very least she will in her own way protect Khushi..I know I am hoping too much, but I like Mami atleast she tells what she feels unlike the secret-keepers we have here.
Diya and HAA - Only silver lining of today's episode was all these bumps in the road just make Arhi come closer to each other. Love how they communicate with each other without uttering a word.
ReplyDeleteDiya - I completely agree with you, this woman will become the real villain in the Arhi relationship. You have very accurately painted her character through the various symbolisms.
Trouble for Arhi, me not like it at all .
bfn.
I actually want the family isolation to continue for some more time, this will bring Arhi closer for sure.
DeleteSecond that thought. They have subjected us to so much drama just to show how lonely each one is and how they have no one but each other. They better use it now to give us some ArHi moments. Shwetha's niharofying and SR shiddat is also at stake :P
DeleteI really Like Nani...After ASR and Khushi she’s my favourite character, she has more backbone than all the men put together-even Arnav bitwa usually holds his tongue. And the best thing is that with authority she has sensibility too, she’s not just autocratic without reason.
ReplyDeleteToday I have some questions more than comments:
Q1. Does Payal think by not giving Khushi Prasad, Devi Maiyya is going to revoke her blessing? Think again Laundry Queen...Khushi’s every single move is being watched over by Devi maiyya...she may have chosen to give her Khushi a harder time but in the end she will get her due...(an emotionally whole Arnav?)...my question is the same as mami’s. How the heck does not giving her Prasad help? What are you trying to show that you don’t support your sister? Its Prasad-God’s blessing to give not yours!
Q2. Is it such a big deal?...Yes eloping isn’t exactly conducive to dealing with elders but they’re acting like she’s pregnant out of wedlock! And...Why doesn’t Arnav just give them a reason? He can see that they are upset about the shotgun wedding...but they’re more upset that Khushi and Arnav are both absolutely silent...their silence is what is casting aspersions on them (and rightly so). From Arnav’s point of view it’s a lie and a sham but he wants Shyaam and the family to accept her as his wife. Instead of hurting Di and Nani so much why not just hold Khushi’s hand go to Nani and say... ‘Sorry Nani, It’s my fault, I wanted us to get married without the hoopla of Akash’s wedding, I got carried away and I picked the wrong time to do it, afterwards we realised we were wrong but now that it’s done forgive us and give us your blessing.’- Khalaas. Nani will lecture him tell him she wants proper rasams and baat khatam...Just give them a reason na?
Q3. Why didn’t Akash and mamaji break down the door ASAP-she’s an old person locked in a room for crying out loud? ASR knocked once and then didn’t hesitate. Common sense. Does everything in RM rest solely on the shoulders of ASR?
Q4. What the hell did Arnav’s dad do?? Did he have an affair? Did he run off with nani’s daughter? What..?
As for the precap...seems quite evident...we will not accept you as our bahu (dot dot dot) until you and chotey complete all our rasams...After the never-ending rasams and phera’s - chotey will jump up and with a superman worthy stride carry her over the threshold (shiddat people;-)) up the stairs and plonk her on the bed quite uncouthly...it’ll be Friday’s episode by then...freeze frame on Khushi’s startled expression and we’ll be left to speculate all weekend and Dia’s blog will explode with comments once again;-)
I hated that part about Payal too, it is prasad you are giving not some family gift that you decide not to give to khushi. And technically atleast wrt to the younger generation She is the highest in the hierarchy now.
DeleteWell he did say that to Anjali right, yes I made a mistake but can you guys get over it. He needs to say it again in front of the whole family, just like you said, I picked the wrong time, You know I dont believe in rasams, yes i could have done it in a better way, get off Khushi, You all wanted me to marry khushi, so why all this drama. I am sorry, We are sorry, now can we move with our lives?
Unfortunately it does, this guy just like khushi way too much responsibilities, they need him for everything.
My guess is he and arnav's mom eloped and got married and then he had an affair again. Or he went and married another lady while married to his mom. The writers are still debating that one I think, lol.
I dont get it Akash only carried her few steps, Bitwa is making up for lost time I guess, he wasted the previous night, now is in no mood to waste a moment.
Dia's blog will hit double century cos they will end with the scene of him entering their bedroom with a precap and we will go nuts and Dia will have a tough time keeping up with the comment and updating the ME post (Dia include the ones where they especially Arnav is thinking of Khushi during their separation).
Well if you're right about Arnav's dad then its Shyaam babuwa whose walking...or rather trying to walk in the footsteps of Arnav's dad and Arnav is literally throwing himself and khushi in the way to impede his path...ouch...Nani is going to be very angry with damaadji..her luck only seems bad when it comes to damaads (whether for her own daughter or daughter's daughter.)
DeleteShwetha,
DeleteAfter yday, even I think that tha past had a secret wedding / affair of sorts. But yeah the wrters themselves don't know yet ;)
Gargi,
Well said - what tough luck in her damaads. She is luckier with her bahus. Mami for all her drama is still good at heart.
Gargi, Very good point about the bad damaads. Hope Anjali's second one is a good one. Ya, I am already thinking ahead.
DeleteOoh just read Dia's bit about Anjali...the kangan part really felt true...maybe Khushi should just give them to Anjali...She has her mothers payal and clearly these kangan mean the world to Anjali:-s...
ReplyDeleteAlso Shyaam...that one look he gives when his eyes dart back and forth from Anjali to Arnav...loved it...could imagine Snakewa scheming already...
Dia you will not believe it..I was just saying today...If Anjali spent less time on her three favourite-and only- activities 1. Pooja path 2. Crying 3. Trying to run Arnav's life the way she thinks is right and more time being normal and having a normal relationship with her husband maybe none of this would have happened!! She really needs a hobby...enter her kid...she's going to S'Mother' that poor kid all his/her life.
Seriously yaar, she needs to worry about her husband rather than her Chotey ... now I get what Gul meant when she said Anjali is more damaged than Arnav ... Anjali tends to cling to Chotey, while he wants to move on ... although he has bottled up his past, and refuses to face it, but he doesn't whine over it all the time.
DeleteAnd which man would like his wife being stuck to her family so closely after marriage ... every man wants to be the first in his wife's life ... here Anjali is only bothered about Chotey and his love life ... and smothering Shyam with praise every time he pays her a smidgeon of attention.
@Gargi......now I am really worried about Anjali's bahu/damaad.....hehehe
DeleteSeriously lol...unless she gets some therapy pronto she'll turn into a total monster-in-law...
DeleteGargi dear...
ReplyDeletekya baat hai..kya likha hai
On point 1 - payal doesn't know the majority vote and she tries to play it safe by maintaining distance from khushi. the start of her married life has seen enough hungama, guess she does not want to antagonize sasuraal waale more. What she does not realize is that one way of another her MIL's acid tongue is not gonna give it a rest. And yes, she needs to absorb the fact that khushi is not only her lil sis now but also her jethji's wife, the elder bahu.
On 2 - Is it a big deal, well there is some link to a similar unpleasant incident in the past. so it hurts. and also cos though rich et al, they are a conservative family and view elopment as very risque. But more than anything like you said it is teh silence that it killing them. And not just one but both are quiet. Does nani sense a coming storm? did the past unleash a storm after a similar storm? As for the reeason, that is what he will do tomorrow. He will say sorry and give in to family pressure so Khushi will have a house and respect as his wife with his family.
On 3 - well that is how things are in this house. When things get crazy or a crisis happens, everyone autoomatically looks to Arnav. Even Anjali spoke to him then it was nonly later she refused to acknoledge him. Arnav has indeed taken the beeda of the house and maybe for the first time done something for himself though he is yet to realize it. Arnav always shares his vulnerability however rare with Khushi (star scene). She always keep their secrets between them, She has still not told people that Payal's wedding broke cos of Arnav and today she almost slipped by saying I didnt know but stopped and shut up good and proper.
On 4 - picture abhi baaki hai mere dost ;)
as for precap, u bet we are all going to be building castles about their SR and sleepong arrangement and is that scene does not come on Mon, god save ASR from all you ladies :)
And how stern and cruel did Anji look as the last shot froze? I want Arnav to see this ther side of his ever sweet oh so fragile Di. Let him realize that every relationship undergoes a sea of change in times of duress. Some come through teh fire stronger while for some the bright light throws up the weak links and hitherto unknown facets
Thank you for the prompt reply!!:-D
ReplyDeleteHahaha picture abhi baki hai...HAA ke mooh mei ghi shakkar...let this show go on for a long time. But honestly every time anyone makes a reference to that past-incident-that-dare-not-be-spoken-about I'm like..tell me, tell me, tell me...:-( evil cv's.
I hope you're right about the reason...I know he'd be lying to Nani and Di but he's already doing that so spare everyone and yourself the angst and give them a reason already...Poor Arnav...like you said uski bhi agneepareeksha ...charon taraf se.
Anjali is actually quite a kick ass character...cv's developed her beautifully. Puppet master she is. She controls RM even though ASR funds it...Its going to be interesting to see her dynamics with Khushi...
Khushi is like Harry(sorry for Harry Potter reference) she doesn't want the power but inevitably marrying ASR gives her power in RM whether she uses it or not.
ASR and KSR's SR...shiddat and Shwetha typing it out like a gazillion times;-)
Gargs,
Deletethat past-incident-that-dare-not-be-spoken-about I'm like..tell me, tell me, tell me - just like Harry's reaction to wanting to know about He who shall not be named.
Oi I asked you above if you thought Khushi was more like Hermoine or Ginny and you say Harry. but in this context yes, destiny has marked her for a very demanding role. she needs to start believing in herself and living her destiny now..!!
Anji baby ke baare main I will post later - got a bak bakky post. But yes she has been subtly developed but will now become an interesting character if written well. puppet master - not really. she is the mute puppet that dangles on its master's strings without figuring out the pros and cons. blind devotion. earlier it was largely arnav now it shall be shyam.
Speaking of shiddat and shwetha wonder where she went. I thought she had apost all ready in notepad.
yeah where are they? MIA...hmm...it feels odd without Shwetha's random hilarious comments!
DeleteI posted this at the same time as your HP comment..I replied to your 'which charcter?' above:-D
Yep, where is Shwetha and her comment? I thought she had it all ready and typed
DeleteHAA and Gargi ... great discussion ... I felt exactly the same ... I really hope at least a part of the past emerges during this track.
Dia I usually type my comment and keep it in notepad and by the time your post is up, I am usually sleeping. So I get to comment officially only the next day.
DeleteHAA & GARGI:
You know when I first saw HP..I was WT..they are discussing hari prakash too now, itna bhi bura episode nahin tha, lol. Then realized it is Harry potter.
Anjali, ya plz someone make a bak baky post on it. Have loads to bak bak there. She can be manipulative, control freak and drama queen. Like Dia said it is better she marries her therapist. He won't have to shell out millions for her therapy, will do it for free.
Dia,
DeleteLoved your full post. I too hope like you and Gargs that a part of the past emerges. Knowing that is essential for Khushi's understanding of Arnav; for trusting him to do the right thing even though his methods may be unconventional.
Shwetha,
ROFL
The day we start discussing Hari Prakash will be when Anji is the main lead and ArHi have gone missing.
The Anji bak bak is somewhere here (ARNAV ANJALI relationship under the scanner) - go vent. Intrigued to see what you come up with ;)
God! what a load of BS - cant stand these three women at the moment - the holier than thou Payal! the oh so sainted Anjali (who is oh so unbelievably selfish - when she wanted ASR to marry KKG, it was a great idea - now that he has done so - He has committed an unforgivable sin!!!!) and Nani - the only sensible one has also turned over a new leaf and am not so sure i like the new nani (Could still forgive her - she is old and fixed in her ways but again - till she wanted it, it was ok - the minute is was not part of their 'plan' - it was wrong) thank God ASR is a strong character otherwise these women would have made a spineless wimp out of him!! the only woman still in character is Mami!
ReplyDeletecould not but appreciate the comparison between the two babhus, - one all dolled up and standing with her husband and the other all bare and alone :(
But i guess the best part is that ASR and KKG might just realize that they have each other and that is all they need!
Mad at the two sisters! (if my brother had gone and married the woman i WANTED him to marry, i would be shocked but not mad at him - would definitely not become Nirupama Roy!!!)
ps. on a lighter note - anyone noticed that the bangle box and the bangles are different from last time :)
ReplyDeleteAnd it seems poor Aman will be working overtime organizing all the dresses and jewelry for Khushi in a jiffy (all others are in the same clothes in the SBS - so its probably the same day!)
Mona,
Deletemaybe Anji decides to hijack original bangles and box for herself like Dia mentioned in her post :)
Aman is deffo working overtime. The girls are conspiring to make him Anji's groom when Shyam leaves :)
Mona, Anjali is pi**ed of that she did not get her second NEW Thaali from the Gupta family. Bhai nay aisi shaadi kar li toh thaali thodi na milegi, gaali hi milegi.
DeleteHAA: Assume Aman gets married to Anjali. Arnav bitwa warning his new BIL, you know what I did to my purana wala Jija right.
Keep her happy warna
Main Tumhai Jeenay nahin doonga aur
Di ki poojas and Vrats tumhain marnay nahin dengay.
@ 'Main Tumhai Jeenay nahin doonga aur
DeleteDi ki poojas and Vrats tumhain marnay nahin dengay'
Hahahaha! ROFL.
She's upset ki sterling silver thaali nahi mili na...kyunki Arnav only said this company is very good...good stock value and all:-) Dono Raizada behen bhai ke saath rehkar accha khaasa insaan pagal ho jayega...
HI all...
ReplyDeleteI feel at some point, the makers have to justify this OTT reaction to the sudden marriage, either linking it to the past or as Dia mentioned , Anjali's dislike at not being confided in by Arnav. Somehow it has to add up, if not now...later. Else, it will look all so pointless...all this brouhaha.. Maybe they will show Anjali as the factor causing Arnav to relinquish his "khushi"...for his Di's "khushi"..At some level that has happened already but it may intensify in the coming days.
I also feel, the CVs have to show Khushi's mental state in a clearer manner. While she has not accepted Arnav's "rich man" dialogue, she has not probed him in greater detail. Even if something is stopping her from verbalising, she can be shown as agonising over this drastic change in Arnav in the span of a day??? How will that get played over the next few days, will be interesting to watch.
It is understandable that Arnav will not provide any answers becs he thinks she is in cahoots with the enemy and probably hoping that she will be bamboozled by the "marriage vows" as they mean a lot to her or plain simple he intends to prevent her from getting a chance to be close to Shyam at all.
Also, the next point of interest is how Khushi will get the answer to the "why"? Will shyam slip up in one of his Khushi "ambushing" moves and give Khushi a clue? I doubt it will be provided by Arnav anytime soon and what will be Khushi's mode of handling that phase of her life?
Gargi, the point of a crisp reply by Arnav would no doubt help but I think, this drama was required to show the level of isolation that Khushi will endure in this phase, with no one to support her
DeleteHer annihilation is near complete...her family, her husband's family, her sibling and to top it all, her hostile husband. After all this, she will rise like a phoenix from the ashes...thats our khushi!! For the time being, lets hope these "rasams" provide us with some relief however short lived they maybe!!
I agree ... I think all this drama is to show both their isolation, so they have no one but each other ... only they know the truth, and that too, each knows a partial truth, but not the whole truth ...
Deleteand to push Arnav into all the rasams so we get a full legally watertight wedding ... all said and done a temple wedding is not legally binding ... this way Khushi has full rights as a Raizada bahu.
Khushi has not yet had alone time to probe Arnav again, Rekha ... he apparently left the house last night and she has just seen him again ... she will never ask him in front of others. Their question answer session will always be private, between the two of them alone, like it was last night. And I think she is observing all the drama happening, including the walk about his father, the past ... so she will understand, if she doesn't already, that there had to be a huge reason for Arnav to have taken this step. Okay he took it in anger, when his dimaag always goes for a holiday, but when he cools down, he always repents ... well now, he has cooled down, but he is still holding on to his stand ... and hopefully that is what she will question again - that I know you have a reason, tell me why.
rekha: The OTT drama is just that...to get her officially accepted and hopefully get them get married again.
DeleteLike Dia said, whatever and whenever they have to talk, it will always be in private. She will always defend him either by words, actions or simply silence.
I really wished Arnav had witnessed what happened at the Arti.
And now she is slowly beginning to see more of his vulnerable side, his family has literally ganged up on him, just like hers did. It was easy for them to disown her, here we all know it won't happen and even in all this she will see he suffers silently not showing his innermost feelings and he will do the same. I am hoping when she leaves the room with that plate full of apple, he sees her and understands immediately what has happened. Though it is unlikely as Family meeting will be shown.
I want Khushi to look at Arnav asking him what to do and Arnav coming to her defense. I hope this happens.
What I don't understand is that it seems a little unrealistic of Arnav to hide the reason, or not be able to tell her, because from his pov she's already admitted that she's conspiring with shyam, I would have thought that our asr would have rubbed it in a little, you can't have the guy you love, you will never have him etc, I mean he's already gone all judge jury and executioner on her so it doesn't seem to me that it is realistic at all, because if he loved her too much to admit to her that he knows she loves someone else, he would want her to be happy. If not, at least let khushi find out from Arnav himself, let her be furious, let out all the details and then leave rm with her head held high and an Arnav who doesn't know what to do
ReplyDeleteAnaonymous, check the post and comments to the 21st Feb episode. We have debated this point in minute details there.
Deletei completely agree - if khushi is in on it with Shyam then what is stopping her from telling Shyam that it's a fake marriage???
DeleteShe won't tell Shyam because of Payal ... that is what Arnav is banking on. That her love for Payal is bigger than her supposed love for Shyam ... and her fear of Payal's marriage breaking because of her. That is a sword that is always going to hang over her head.
DeleteDia,
Deleteadding to the wishlist - hope Mami lets slip soon something to the effect about how the family knows of Payal's broken rishtha and Khushi and Arnav exchange a surprise / shock look!
Khushi will not be able to roar full throatedly until this guilt goes away.
But Dia, doesnt ASR's famous Dimaag register this fact that she is still asking for a reason.....that she doesnt know that he knows about them (shyam and khushi) that means shyam hasn't told her about ASR knowing the truth........if they are lovers, as shyam claims they are, then khushi would have immediately known that ASR heard the terrace convo........
DeleteGeetu, that is very true, never thought of that. Maybe Arnav's dimaag isn't quite back from his holiday yet. Because yes, Shyam and Arnav have had a face off and Arnav knows that Shyam knows WHY Arnav married Khushi - now Arnav just saw Shyam-Khushi together, so logically he should think Shyam told Khushi - if she still doesn't know, then his dimaag ki ghanti should ring! It's long overdue!
DeleteGeetu, very good point. Unfortunately Arnav has not had time to think. If he has supposedly spent the night outside, he comes home sees shyam talking to khushi then Nani Drama and then Anjali drama. And all the rasams etc.
DeleteI am hoping Akash says something. I really want akash-arnav convo along the lines of I will not ask you why but I am very happy that you are married and that too to Khushi. And maybe mention something about khushi's broken rishta, so Arnav will hopefully remember the shyam connection.
Shwetha,
DeleteYou are on a roll today....
bromance will be good esp if it gets anav's bulb flickering.
even i wished arnav had seen what happened at arti - but out of character for asr to be at the arti.
agree with u on wnating khushi to look at arnav in that precap scene they showed. if she looks at creepwa na uski khair nahi
and arnav threathing aman - OMG TOTALLY ROFL :)
Perceptions & Blind Devotion!
ReplyDeleteSHYAM KHUSHI
For a second did khushi realize how exposed she is to shyam now? She needs to grow up and live her role that of KASR now.She had responsibilities earlier but now she also has the power.
He asks her why she did this? is he delusional about gettin ghis love reciprocated or is he trying to find out why to gain one up on arnav (it is all b/w them now; no anji; no khushi). I think the latter cos he has been shown to be a master manipulator and a clear thinker in the past when it comes to people. (forget his killing plans for a second there)
khushi and anji both are just pawns.shyam already made that comment to his RB to not exert herself in this fragile state while her chote has gone and done such a big kaand - master manipulator at work. arnav needs to convert khushi from a pawn into a player soon else things will get very very ugly.
SHYAM ANJALI
Given the glances during the scene in nani's room and that he stands next to anjali in the precap, he may have instigated anji to turn down khushi as the bahu (ironical cos he pacified all to let lavanya stay at RM and give her relationship with arnav a chance).
has he already started to manipulate anji's mind?
He knows arnav forced khushi once. Does he expect khushi to break and expose arnav?
Now, if in this mood the shyam expose happens to anji and / or family how will it be perceived?
Anji may (mostly will) actually believe shyam if he says khushi came onto him earlier.
Yes Anji is dangerous to ArHi right now coz she is ignorant. Half knowledge is dangeorus - agree with dia's thoughts on this point. I thot she looked like asr in that last scene of the day - stern and unbending
ARNAV KHUSHI SHYAM
Arnav sees Khushi running up the stairs - will he misunderstand or will he think khushi was escaping from shyam.?
He should now realize that SHyam has not taken his threat to lay off Khushi seriously yet and he is pissed the creep is anywhere near her. Her being married does not deter him. What will it tell him about Shyam?
And i like the timing of arnavs entry - bitwa yehi maintain kiye raho toh soon u will see the true colours of creep and may catch the right reactions from wifey too.
Shyaam and Anjali...in yesterday's episode he walked into his room saw his pregnant wife sobbing and didn't even act like the consoling husband...Can't Anjali sense that he's not there for her? Its been a day since she told him she's pregnant and he's barely spoken to her or comforted her. And the odd part is even she doesn't seem affected by his absence.
DeleteSHYAM KHUSHI - Khushi needs to start realizing that Shyam is beyond redemption, that in spite of her telling him she will never love him, he's still questioning her as though he thinks she does ... and that she does need to tell Arnav soon.
DeleteI would simply love it if she decides to bite the bullet and just tells him ... and he is totally taken aback ... and again, he doesn't dare to tell her why he married her because he knows she will be furious that he didn't trust her enough. Particularly if she throws in a few words about trusting him to marry him and back him in front of his family even though he hasn't told her the reason ... he would feel even more of a heel than ... and then we would see that junoon that Zee_News was talking about ... when he realizes how badly he misunderstood her, and he has to win back her respect from his family and protect her from Shyam ... all without telling her why he married her.
Otherwise the only other scenario I can think of is Arnav over hearing a Shyam Khushi conversation again and figuring out the truth.
Any other ideas, anyone?
Honestly that would just be comical. If Khushi decides to talk to Arnav about Shyaam and the engagement and all...poor bitwa will be totally stunned into silence.
DeleteAlthough I doubt that will happen any time soon. Khushi will stand by Arnav in front of his family and she feels his pain when she hears his family say hurtful things to him because she can identify with that pain. Having said that right now she does not trust Arnav. He has ruined her life without even deeming it necessary to give her a reason. She's not going to go to him with her problems. No thanks. she'll deal with Shyaam by herself as she's always been doing.
And I think its important to recognize that Khushi wasn't in love with Arnav, not yet, or rather she had not recognized that she was in love with him. Post teri meri she began to see a different side of him and he had acknowledged to himself 'kyun farak padta hai' but she hadn't- plus once bitten twice shy...after the diwali incident she was going to be careful with her heart and Arnav went and did exactly the same thing but soo much worse. She's heart broken again.
Truth will come out if ASR overhears Khushi telling Shyaam to back off.
Or perhaps after 6 months when she's actually leaving and Arnav discloses her true colours. Payal opens her mouth.
Or of course the camcorder..
Or if Shyaam tries another murder attempt (though what good would that do him now since khushi is married) and Khushi foils it and exposes him.
Or babuji on his death bed is able to indicate to Arnav what a murderous rattlesnake Shyaam is.
I just don't think Khushi will be the one to tell him and defend herself.
Dia / Gargi,
DeleteGeethu made a good point above on when Khushi repeatedly asks Arnav why, will he pause to think as to why Shyam has not informed her of Arnav knowing of the terrace tryst? Will he realize that Shyam's story has holes?
Agree with Gargi that right now Khushi will not approach Arnav with her problems. She will try to do it herself (remember the pool bangle scene and how Arnav tells her you cannot do everything alone & she says yes i can..*SIGH*).
Also Khushi needs to realize that Shyam is beyond redemption - hope his latest dialogues asking why she thuraofyed his love and trust rings some bells in her head.
Khushi gave him a chance whereas Arnav gave him a warning and is alert too.
Arnav will realize on his own or through someone else or see an interaction b/w them that gets him digging and fitting the puzzle together. Exposure through Payal at this time seems not so probable as she is hurting. Babuji if he regains his speech may be one channel. Arnav on Diwali night too had treated him respectfully (does the fact that this man brought up an orphan child as his own as against his own father who orphased his own blood gain respect for babuji in arnav's eyes? also on diwali night too babuji had looked at arnav with something akin to hope. even now, he is the only one who seems to tell khushi with his eys, tell me what is wrong.)
Had a weird thought - Arnav still believes in his Di the most; the camcorder events will be appreciated most by Anji as per Nani. Will Anji be the one to tell Arnav that Khushi seemed upset at the wedding and needed to talk to him. Maybe they will not show Shyam's true face to her but will she unknowingly be the catalyst for Arnav's complete realization of the Shyam Khushi equation?

The problem is that Arnav thinks Khushi is play acting. Even in her manhandling scene he asks her 'why are you so angry? or rather pretending to be so angry.' He thinks she knows that he knows about the terrace debacle and in spite of that is pretending to be all innocent and victimized.
DeleteIf he stops to think it won't make sense. Because why would she pretend to be angry and ask him for reasons if she knew that he already knows that she's privy to his conversation with Shyaam and will see through the pretense. But so much where he'll think...Dimaag has gone on long holiday...one of those one month long Raj tour and travels...Europe trip for a month.
Khushi is not as worldly wise as Arnav, and so very naively gave him another chance and stayed away from him-to no avail. Thats why I think its great that the battle is between the two men now. Equal footing. Equal arsenal.
I really hope that camcorder plays some role even if its just to make Arnav wonder why Khushi was looking for him so adamently.
Blood Ties and Growing Up!
ReplyDeleteARNAV ANJALI
Arnav has never refused his di and she has never denied him a wish.
Anji's paranoia shows when mamaji asks "has no one met nani since morning" - she responds with "kahin kuch galat". Her willingeness to always let someone else handle the crisis - wait fr arnav to come and ask what happened, tell him the problem and leave him to handle it.But later refuses to acknowledge him.
I had thought earlier too that given her dependency on chotey (she tells him everything first incl her being preggers) and her clingy nature she will have a tough time cutting the umbilical cord and letting go of the son / sharing him with his wife. Her love requires him to be dependant on her for affection. At the rakhi scene I mentioned earlier, she tapped on Arnav's greatest fear till then of losing her to get Khushi back in the house.
Today for the first time, when Arnav saw a crying Anji he did not say Di kya hua - aap theek toh hai; he did not say sorry I hurt you or didn't tell u (post accident scenes). He just got to the point.
But today he tells her to stop the drama and just accept reality while she tells herself that she will not ask forgiveness on behalf of her bro nor will she accept him so quickly after what he has done (her unhealthy dependance on her bro has messed her marriage and her bro's life to an extent)
She has emotionally blackmailed arnav all her life bcos he has let her. But this time he spoke up and she decides he is being rude?!He did not even flinch when she talks of how hurt she feels - just raises an eyebrow in exasperation..
PAYAL KHUSHI
Payal hurts for khushi in the later half of today but is cared to speak up for her. New house, new relations. Plus she has never had the self confidence even earlier.
Exactly, she is going to be more clingy after shyam is kicked out. Then Arnav and Khushi will need more Patience than love till she pulls herself together.
DeleteShe can be manipulated easily by Shyam saying how Khushi is trying to distance her and Arnav. Khushi was the reason Arnav fought with Anjali etc etc.
And we know she is capable of manipulating Arnav, the question is will he let her. Post mariage like you correcty said he was just exasperated and her tears didn't move him at all. So if Anjali starts her rant against Khushi, he will not believe her cos he KNOWS why khushi married him so he might end up supporting her too.
So in that sense we are in for interesting time ahead.
Payal is still concerned for Khushi and she is in a delicate position. She is still mad at khushi for not telling the reason but when khushi was being badgered she was pretty concerned. Payal has a tight rope to walk on here.
Bonds of the heart!
ReplyDeleteARNAV KHUSHI
subconsciously understand each other's pain (but not love!) - Arnav saw her pain when she talks about being abandoned by family. Khushi see his pain on being sidelined by his Di & on hearing him being compared to his dad. That comparison struck a nerve and arnav walked off.(I thought for a second, Khushi might just follow him)
subconsciusly always take the lead for their families - Arnav is the 1st to think of doc, khushi is the 1st to think of water. silently these 2 do what is needed - their actions are always louder than their words.Though the family detests them now, they do not sit and mope, they keep making efforts to get people to accept the present.
ensure what happens between them stays between them - She has never told R family of Arnav's hand in her shift to Delhi. She almost slipped today "I never knew". Payal caught onto that but then KASR kept silent.
Arnav accepts his mistake of getting married chup chup ke to anjali. But he reiterates that he and khushi are married. No amount of anger or unacceptance can change that. Another public acceptance of her being his wife.(more baby steps on the road to redemption) Bitwa never anticipated open antagonism to him and Khushi.
KANGANS and PRECAP
Why the kangan scene? What did anji actually think looking at them? I am intrigued..
Arnav had just threatened to walk out of the house with khushi if they were all so unhappy. her next scene is with nani bangles et al where she tells nani that though she may not forgive him, he is still her chotey, a part of the family. She says anger is justified. And their mother comes up. Nani says she would have said the same things as her but Anjali says she knows what her mother would have said and wanted. She reminds Nani of Ma's kangans and nani almost melted.Nani says she cannot accept Chotey after this mistake. Anjali says she will also not accpet him so fast.
Is anjali refusing khushi a bahu status a trick to get arnav to do the right thing, get the family to come around and ensure arnav does not leave the house? leave her? (if it is a trick then again anji the emotional blackmailer in action)
If it is not a trick, will arnav blame Shyam for poisoning Anjali's mind or will he realize that his Di too has a will of steel when she chooses to tap into it?(he saw a glimpse of it today when she told him back saying turning away is not the solution to this "drama").
I want Anjali to give Khushi the note in the kangan box. Anjali can keep the kangan if they mean so much to her...after all they are her mother's nishani. But give Khushi the note. Khushi is the only one who can understand Arnav...give her a little insight from his mother. It'll be heartwarming to read that note as she's going to struggle to see past all his anger brooding and bluster.
DeleteARNAV KHUSHI ... Khushi has trusted Arnav enough to keep his secret from his family for him ... that he forced her into marriage. Arnav has shown some level of trust - he trusts that she will keep her side of the bargain, but he knows it's because of the sword of Payal's marriage, rather than actual trust ... that sword is still dangling. So Arnav has a longer road to travel, IMO.
DeleteKANGANS .. like I said somewhere above ;) ... I don't want Anjali to give Khushi the kangans. I want sometime later, that Arnav gives Khushi the kangans himself, acknowledging her undisputed right to them, her position in his life, in his heart.
Hopefully, the drama right of refusing Khushi bahu status now is just to force Arnav into doing the rasams. But maybe also to blackmail him into not leaving the house.
I DO wish, though, that Arnav would make the point that this is HIS house, not Anjali's ... and he makes the rules, and the others have to abide by them.
Gargs,
DeleteI want Khushi to have the kangan too. But like Dia wish Arnav would give it to her. They mean a lot to him and him giving it to her would be so telling.
Yep perhaps at this point, Anji can just hand over the letter - but woh nahi karegi. kal dekha na how she was all like literally hugging the letter and going "Ma aapne dekha na?"
I think Arnav has seen his Di - some one with a broken past who is emotionally hung up and then he sees khushi with an equally painful past, shouldering burdens and doing it all with a smile. He must be flummoxed...
HAA...You are on a roll ya, very well put.
DeleteShe will not give him away and he will always protect her. I don't know when this started exactly - from the tea incident when he didn't tell Khushi was the one who threw chai at him? and she continued from there?
agree with all here, Arnav should be the one who should give her the kangan and that would be the best I love you, Don't go from his side for her.
But she should be made aware that the kangan exists, she should read the letter.
I think their mother wanted Arnav's wife to have her kangan, which is why anjali took it out cos she wanted to give it to his wife Khushi.
And if you see, anjali had a point and so did Nani, if Arnav's mom had been present, would he have gone ahead and married like this, I think somewhere they feel alienated by Arnav, you would have confided in your mom and then why not us, we love you too.
Anjali will give the kangan to Khushi, Khushi would return it back to Arnav saying he should give this to the person he loves, the one who he hopes to spend the rest of the life with and not to someone who is going to be there for only 6 months - Menthos moment for Arnav hopefully.
RANDOM THOUGHTS:
ReplyDeleteFinally the day and night ended in ArHiLand. I think by the time wedding(s) happened, family drama happened, bitwas fought with snake, he just about had time to park his car and walk back to the house :P
Shwetha,
Barun is not getting a haircut anytime soon. think about it - subah subah woh nahaake nikla, baal gile and bumps into ODG - longish hair with water droplets - aankhon main aankhein - will make the scene so much more hot hot;)?
Gargi,
Thought of an alternate reason for ArHi's marriage to tell the family - Khushi shd just say my ex-fiance bullied me into meeting him and tried to get fresh with me. Arnavji helped me out and to save my honour got married to me. would love to see creepwa's expression at that *EVIL GRIN*
*dhing a linga dhinga linga dhinga linga ling*
hahaha...that's the subliminal reason..:-) too bad no one even Khushi and Arnav cant see that...
DeleteHAA, Anji can be quite adamant, stubborn and ruthless if she wants to. Remember how she got Khushi to agree to her job offer to training La by holding Arnav's contract over her head? Arnav himself did not press on the terms of the contract knowing that he was on the wrong. Anji too knew that the contract was not fair yet she resorted to it when she wanted Khushi to agree to her plans. When Arnav got wild seeing Khushi in the house, she locked herself up in the room and went missing the next day, giving anxious moments to many. Arnav had to come down his high horse and apologise for his behaviour. So it isn't surprising that she is now trying to get Arnav to follow all the rituals to make his bride acceptable in his house. I feel that Arnav may agree for Khushi's sake. After all she told him only the previous night that he has made her an orphan all over again. The guy must be feeling guilty about that. If his family ostracizes her she will have no one to turn to, for as much as he loves her, he is still smarting at what he thinks she did. What is worse she may turn to that creep for succour and that is a complete no-no. So he will have to given in to this demand, much as he dislikes it.
ReplyDeleteOpti
Yep, I also feel that Arnav might agree for Khushi's sake ... he IS feeling guilty that he deprived her of her family, that is a shared pain and one which he understands and empathizes with.
DeleteThe question is, when will Arnav realize that Anjali baby is as expert a manipulator as he is - he manipulates with power and money, she with words and emotional blackmail.
Opti,
DeleteWe are in sync. This track will have many such message / context setting episodes.
HAA
Hey all,
ReplyDeleteI came across a post which has a beautiful analysis. link: http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=2800087
Ok haven’t watched the episode still now. But from what i have read, i think it would be Khushi who will convince Arnav. I want this again done in the room where he starts packing and she keeps watching him and trying to analyse the whole drama. I think she will understand that there has to a big reason for him to take such a step of marrying her for which he isn’t even hesitating to leave his Di and nani who are his lifeline. I want her to tell him that “ I still don’t know why you married me, but now I at least know that there is a big reason to it”. Agreed Opti he may agree for Khushi's sake or to prove to creep that this is real or just to make Nani and Anjali to accept Khushi, He will give in, the only wish is that it should be Khushi initiated.
Dia, I LOVED your post. The balle balle had me ROFLING. Bitwa kahan chod kar jaayega ussay, Shyam or no shyam, Chodnay ke liye thodi na haath pakda hai (watch him eat his 6 months dialogue soon enough.
ReplyDeleteArti: I hope Khushi does not convince him. She will keep quiet (not cos of her throat condition)as this is a decision he has to take. Rasams require both their presence and he has already put the 6 month clause, so she will wait and see what he does now, cos the rasams give more credence to the shaadi now. Arnav will agree cos he already knows her family has disowned her and for their marriage and Khushi to be treated with respect especially infront of Shyam, he would need to do all this.
And besides, he has ENOUGH problems right now, KJ (Not Karan Johar, Kameena Jija in Barun's words)who is still lusting after his wife, His own Marital life which is currently not&non happening, he DOES NOT need his OTT family at his and his wife's case now. So he will agree.
He will see her in the bridal look and will not be able to refuse to her. He will do this more for her than his own family.
HAA: Very good point, by the time everything ended it was morning already, lol. Can't they atleast tell us he is not cutting his hair cos of personal reasons.
ONE MINUTE: I Know Aranv told khushi khulay baal achchay lagtay hain. Did I miss an epi where Khushi said Aap par Lambay baal achchay lagtay hain? Is that the reason*Rolls eyes*
Shwetha,
DeleteWhat an entry, KJ, rolling eyes and humour all in one :)
There is more drama ahead so give rest to your eyes ;)
Me too feel that Arnav will take the decision himself, Khushi will not convince him, as it is, she is confused about the 6 months time limit, if she tries, he could turn around and say she's trying to phansao him for good. So better that Bitwa takes the decision to get his family off his back, and because he saw Snakewa still chasing his wife's skirts ...
DeleteBARUN NEEDS A HAIRCUT!!! Seriously, those lambe ghane baal curling around his ears are now creeping me out ... my hands itch for a pair of scissors every time I see him. Arey, forget continuity, he can get a haircut before his pheras.
Okay my take:
ReplyDeleteGO ANJALI GO...Go ahead Overreact, Fight with Arnav.
Bitwa will then fight for bitiya's rights as Bahu.
WT WT WT WT WT..Morning already?
Where did these two sleep? Was he out wasting fuel all night?
So till it is official we wont get to see them together. I just wanted atleast an eyelock or something between them..there was one but not satisfied sorry.
Oooooooooh Did you guys notice he was ready to beat up Shyam for talking to Khushi.
I loved Nani's acting today AND also Anjali. Really liked Jayashree T and Daljeet.
If you overlook the OTT drama the characters created, the acting was top notch all over.
Sanaya didn't have much to speak, looks like she wont have much to speak till she gets her voice back.
And the Kangan and the Kangan letter have changed, really CVs you thought we wouldn't notice.
Creepwa trying to talk to Khushi *pukes*
Mami's taunt at aarti. Yeah Payal ignore Khushi (though there were some soft moments from her side too), Khushi has successfully taken the limelight on herself. Now you are no longer khoon bhari taang but Bahu.
And the taunts are now being directed towards Khushi. Mamiji, I Dare you to do that infront of Arnav.
I actually wanted Khushi to bump into Arnav with the apple plate, so he would realize how his family is treating her badly too. Oh well.
Precap: Family meeting and Anjali telling Khushi you won't be accepted as our Bahu. Bitwa and Bitiya shocked.
Now Anjali I want you to actually give a pause and not continue and let Bitwa defend his wife. PLZZZZZZZZZ.
Then you can get them both married. Pehlay bolnay toh do ussay. And Bitiya look at Bitwa, that will spur him into speaking or blasting his family. He needs to fight his family for you. You can fight and take him on later.
@ Dia...the part in your post about Anjali caressing the kangan...I had a such an LOTR flashback of gollum sitting in a cave going 'My precious, my precious...'
ReplyDeleteSorry its been a day of LOTR and HP references..
Gargs,
DeleteGOLLUM reference - too good - me ROFL. :)
@Gargi, apt reference! I actually had a mental image when I read it. LOL.
Delete*rofl* I could see that too!
DeletePerhaps I’m just into symbolism today but it feels like IPKKND land is set up like a giant chess board...
ReplyDeleteShyaam the white king (he made the first move and started this game and of course appears all white and noble to the family members) and Arnav the black king (well he's always dressed in black:-p and he's bit of a black sheep in RM anyway)...
Of course Khushi is the black queen...So many times the King doesn't even move from his position instead uses his queen who has an all access pass across the board and is supposed to be the most important piece in a players arsenal...The Black Queen doesn't know the game plan and got thrown into the game very suddenly, but she’s a vital piece and will be used by Arnav to push back Shyaam every time Shyaam threatens to overuse the white queen a.k.a. Anjali.
Right now Mami (wily bishop), Mama (steadfast rook) and Nani (Also a smart bishop-moving in sync but yet with opposite movements to her own bahu -manodrama) are all playing from white's side. After all Arnav and Khushi appear to have ‘darkened’ RM with their dishonorable marriage and Shyaam bitwa is still loved, respected and put on a pedestal by the family.
NK is probably a black knight...one piece that can enter the battle field quickly even before the pawns, provide an important tactical move (delivering camcorder) and is usually knocked off early in the game (Bye Bye RM hello Sydney)...
Akash the white knight (Did everything by the book...was Payal's knight in shining whatever he wears-not Armani!) Again the knight can be very useful, get into the midst of things in 2 and a half moves but in so many games the piece doesn't even make it onto the battlefield.
Payal is of course a pawn...moves in one direction with blinkers on. The thing is the pawn that makes it to the end of the board game morphs into quite an important player...Payal has potential. Also pawns may not be great for moving around and actual scheme's but games have been won on the checkmate of a pawn (she's the only member of RM who knows about the engagement-eventually it may be her words to Arnav and the fact that she did not blindly support Khushi when she made a mistake – thus making Payal’s word believable- that prove Khushi's innocence...)
We all know Black will win; question is who’s going to be collateral damage. Is the Black King going to have to sacrifice the Black Queen before he wins? And is the White King going to deliberately try and knock out the Black King with the white queen to try and win the round...
@Gargi: All I could think of at first was wow! What a superb analogy! I am not great at chess but I can see what you mean. I also like the fact that you put Khushi and Arnav on one side together, because, honestly whether they like it or not, it does look like they will have to stick together.
DeleteBtw, everyone is talking about a "new entry", do you have an idea about who it is? I know that in the last blog, there was a suggestion that it might be a new love interest (which I seriously hope its not). Keep writing! Love it!
Gargs,
DeleteMINDBLOWING!! WOW!!
Coincidentally when I wrote my pieces on relationship yday, the image on my mind was of a chess board. But your description of the situation in the context of the game..AWESTRUCK!
Thanks...!!:-D
DeleteWOW!!! Simply amazing post, Gargi!!!
DeleteI loved your imagery ... could actually see the pieces set out all in position ... and this is a mind game for sure.
Rather like the idea of NK as black knight - firmly on the side of Arnav Khushi and he might just provide that vital piece of information via the camcorder.
Don't think the Black King will sacrifice the Black Queen right now ... that may come later. But what about the White King - he will use the White Queen without compunction - she is almost as expendable as a pawn for him.
Great post!!!
Gargi, Too good!!!!!
ReplyDeleteP.s. You really love Armani don't you, pity even Arnav doesn't wear Armani, his budget is restricted to Oxemberg shirts.
OMG! you guys are a riot! Oxemberg shirts!!! and yes he NEEDS A HAIRCUT!! but i guess it was Arnav with the haircut, cute looks, and soft stares (scenes with the lights and dust in her eyes) and ASR is the one with the angry glower and long hair!!!
DeleteThanks you guys!!...yeah wardrobe not quite the same lol...But if it were real ASR would wear Armani:-)...damn the production budgetary constraints...
ReplyDeleteI was picturing Arnav in a black Armani 2 piece suit and Khushi in a gorgeous black sari open hair and all when I wrote the comment...Hahaha.
Gargi - Very original thinking !! The game is on for sure and we are mere onlookers!! It's all upto the CVs now. They could keep the story very tight by trying to tackle one ball at a time or could really mess this up royally. Too many balls in the air . so they better be careful.
ReplyDeleteWill it be only Shyam or will they bring in ASR's past too? Too coomplicated, CVs, please keep this clean.
Reading everyone else's posts now.
gn!!
Wow!! This forum has exploded for sure.....
ReplyDeleteI am still rolling on the floor for
1. feeling hot hot and doing not not
2. Armani
3. HP
4. Shiddhat (Shwetha, please repeat many times and it will come true)
5. WT WT WT WT morning already????
6. SR SR SR SR ...CVs will leave us high and dry on Friday :) ;)
Just having blast reading all comments
Yes Gargi....beautiful anology..
ReplyDeleteNK or rather his camcorder specifically has a special part to play becos if u see the damning part spoken by Khushi "why don't u leave Anjali" can never be substantiated by mere dialogues, its something that will need clarification and counter clarification without the all important evidence...atleast i feel so...or this trust route will take a long time to resolve.
NK prove your mettle before u move on to "colors" or whatever that u have to!!Counting on u big time!!
Shwetha,
ReplyDeleteGargi's the one on the roll today - chess board game analogy; arnav thinks she knows he nows and still is pretending...
Btw shiddat guys, as per SBB today, Arnav carries Khushi to their room, dumps unceremoniusly on bed (danda alert bitwa!!) AND AND AND........her earring gets stuck in his non Armani blazer :) She is flustered, he is angry and then he recalls the earlier time and helps her undo it....
yet to see video. will post link once i find it.
Dia how about opening a post for the Arhi wishlist. We will keep commenting and you can keep adding to the main post :) Gargi already did one compilation on 21st. Shwetha did another before that I think.
SBB Video link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eo-ubF0IqQ
DeleteOh and btw not till room but ofc the entire length of the foyer much more than aakash bitwa. I think we are in for a Rabba ve to appease some of those Rant Aways :P
HAA ... okay, boss, Wish List coming up ... let me try to find the first two wish lists in the sea of comments ... :)))
DeleteSaw the SBB ... he stops in the foyer, guess we will have a Rabba Ve moment there as he remembers the first earring scene. And I think the Fri night freeze will be at the promo shot - Khushi as dulhan sitting on bed and Bitwa enters ... freeze for them and we go crazy over the weekend!
HAA ...thank you for the link!!
Deletelooks like DM is channeling herself through just about everyone and everything now...even inanimate jewelry...He literally dumps her not at all bothered - so DM says - hang on bitwa that's not the way to put he down, ab khade raho aur madad karo:-)
Yep I think you are right...we're going to get a nice appeasing rabba ve moment hence the long walk to the foyer.
Dia,
DeleteTHANK YOUUUUU!!!!
Gargi,
ROFL...DM has finally realized that left upto him Arnav bitwa is going to get nowhere in this janam. So she has decided to channel herself any which way to ensure khushi is always in his face - ofc for his khushi (happiness only)..Jai ho DM!!
DM is working overtime, but kya karein, Bitwa's dimaag has gone on long overseas trip!!! Or maybe the long hair is interfering with the signals ...
DeleteSBB - He carries her and puts her in the hall itself and tries to walk away looking all grumpy.
ReplyDeleteSHIDDAT ALERT: HAIRCUT HAIRCUT HAIRCUT HAIRCUT
I don't get this guy, he marries khushi, has his reasons can't he atleast pretend to be lovey dovey in front of his family, itnay gussay may kyon hai? Is he mad cos SR is coming up and feeling hot hot and doing not not?
Shyam Khushi - We are in for loads of MU. Khushi will not like to be seen talking with Shyam and will try and run away unfortunately arnav will see them and see her run off will only cement his MU. See from his pov, for ex, if payal was talking to Shyam and if someone comes, she would not run right, so unless he actually hears Khushi blasting Shyam off, Khushi is in loads of trouble.
Khushi does not realize how exposed she is to Shyam to the extent Arnav realizes, which is why the warning to Shyam, STAY AWAY!!!
Shyam Anjali:
As far as Shyam is concerned he thinks (delusional) that if Khushi tells him that Arnav forced her to marry him that means Khushi has feelings for Shyam*puke*
Which is why he keeps badgering her.
If Shyam puts the blame on Khushi that would be the best thing cos then Arnav will realize that what Shyam has for Khushi is not love but lust. Cos if you truly love someone you would not accuse them of seducing you and find an escape route. Arnav knows shyam does not love Anjali and by blaming Khushi arnav will realize Shyam has no real feelings for khushi too.
Arnav if he thinks about it will realize Khushi has never given him anyway ever..and post marriage especially. And all her words and actions would finally fall into place for him. atleast that is what I think.
You cracked me up with "Is he mad cos SR is coming up and feeling hot hot and doing not not?" As I type this..I am still laughing...I do think so...kya karega bichara? Khushi all all decked up...both bitwa and bitiya feel for each other...and thats it...kuch nahi kar sakte..
DeleteMe thinking...what if in one of the scenes..Arnav and Khushi are fighting...Khushi asking Arnav...batayiye apane aisa kyon ki...Jiji ke shadi ka vasta deke kyon shadi ki humse....and Anjali hears it out from out side their room?
Rather than Anjali I want Akash or Payal or both to overhear this so they can confront Arnav with this and Payal can tell the truth about Shyam.
DeleteAnjali has to find the camcorder or else she will not believe it.
Swetha,
DeleteAkash should hear - totally neutral party. doesn't know Shyam's PG truth, is thankful to khushi for bringing payal into his life and adores his bro. So far the only one who has silently supported khushi and not jdged her or arnav at RM is akash. and going by the fact that this could be inspired by The Ramayana, Lakshman never believed hi bhabhi could do a morally wrong act. OO I likey....
Yaa I like the Ramayan reference...but laxman apni bhabhi ke liye lada...I'm reserving judgement on Akash hoping cv's are planning to get him into the plot soon as a key player.
DeleteProblem is except for Khushi and Arnav none of these people can do anythnig on their own so the moment they come to know anything they go running to ASR...hang on that's exactly what we need...yep hope its Akash or even Payal just not Anjali anyway she's had enough screen time.
Yep, I would also like Akash to smell a rat somewhere - shouldn't his saintly wife tell him about his rat-faced jija at some point, if she is so truthful? And Akash has been the least judgemental of the whole lot till date ... he and NK are the neutral parties, NK has seen something fishy between ArHI, and Akash can do something useful!
DeleteI doubt Payal will volunteer information about Shyaam. Especially now. That's a Khushi related thing and right now she's washed her hands off her sister and anything related to it...
DeletePayal will speak up only if she finds out the real reason for Khushi's shotgun wedding and Arnav's reasoning behind that. Otherwise she's not about to ruin her holier than thou image for a sister who doesn't consider her close.
In that respect Anjali is a better sister. Tragedy Queen though she will always remain. Also Anjali's place in RM is established while Payal is just getting her bearings especially with an overbearing melodramatic saas.
In spite of being hurt by Arnav's silence at least she's going to take a step to fix things...even if she's doing it totally ASR style-lording her power- and in the sbb segment they show Anjali bring Khushi to the threshold where Arnav picks her up. So our Shiddat will come to fruition via Anjali...
@Shwetha.....totally agree with your comment, she should stay around when shyam is trying to talk to her and not run away, now that they are related and staying in the same house, she should be cool about facing him when people are around and tell him off if he does any gadbad.......but she wont do that, cause they need to add more misunderstanding, whatever is there is not enough for the cv's i guess.....
ReplyDeleteAlso i think Khushi wont try to prove anything, infact she wont even know that she has to prove........Arnav will just realize from their daily interactions that she is not a two-faced person......and pure at heart.....i hope it happens this way, this will be a new thing for a daily soap, isn't it.....
Geetu, Khushi need not prove anything cos she has not been accused of anything. The only thing he accused her was the gold digger thingy and she now knows him enough to believe that how hollow that is. Which is why she says, that is not my answer.
DeleteSo bitwa has to sit or go away for a drive and think this through.
She silently put up with the abuse.
She is suffering and is not expressing it.
She still cares for him, his family.
Shweths,
ReplyDeleteThank you for wading thru all that bak bak.
Your shiddat list is too dynamic ya! pehle CARRY, then SR and now HAIRCUT.
Yep Arnav needs to see Khushi do something to Shyam or say something. Shyam blaming khushi and bitwa thinking abt it - not sure yaar
Guy marries his love and get grumpy cos he cannot do naughty stuff bcos he thinks she is having an affair with his JIJA...And in your entire post, you says "if he thinks" exactly, think being the key word but nope not happening bcos dimaag like gargi said has gone on Europe trip with Raj travels.
Pinning some hope on babuji. at least if he tells khushi abt the attempt to his life then ODG is smart enuff to hunt down the rest. Nahi toh camcoder baba hai na..
When I saw the video, I too was like, WT you just dropped her you idiot but then realized no male role model in his life to teach him the finer points of romance.
DAD - taboo
MAMAJI - cold ham
AKASH - calls his wife ji
NK - comic relief
JIJAJI - ah forget it; wife always doing pooja
So khushi has to make do with "practice makes perfect". She was doing a good job with him but then bitwa seems to have been struck by temporary amnesia.
Weekend is going to be crazy - am with Gargi, they will freeze at the SR scene, show some inane precap and we will all be clutching at phone and lappy till Mon night 8 PM.
this is only fiction. I have life outside it
this is only fiction. I have life outside it
not enough male role models ha ha good one. He was doing fine till the vacation trip I think.
DeleteArrey it is going to be crazy cos they will freeze on him entering and both looking at each other with a precap which will be so confusing, we will be hitting double centuries even on the day the episode does not air i.e. the weekend.
Gargi: I think the public outcry against their showing Payash SR might be the reason we were spared, lol.
DIA: One suggestion, apart from ME, Wishlist post, can you make one on how we all stumbled on to your blog, how we went crazy for the show, fav scene stuff like that?
Oh i so understand! I keep telling myself the same thing - i have life out of this - was damn busy all day - could not write but could not help but steal a few minutes every now and them to update myself on all your posts!!! that's it - its confirmed - i'm nuts!
Delete@cold ham and calls his wife ji - Hahahha
ReplyDelete...father son duo need a tutorial...the best was when mama came back after a month and was discussing his trip with mami and she was busy talking to someone else...KLPD:-s...and Akash's SR is a pretty sad indication of his marital life...
Keep telling yourself that HAA...and tell me if its working for you...:-);-)
A Possible Scene?
ReplyDeleteShyam corners Khushi and says I know Arnav forced you to marry him. Khushi is silent and tried to leave. Shyam goes blah blah and in desperation says he saw us on the terrace and I told him I love you. (Coward will not tell her he let Arnav believe she reciprocates). So for Anjali's sake he married you.
Khushi will realize the enormity of the situation. Some quick thinking and hope her retort is And why should I belive you? You have lied to us in the past? You have lied and still lie to Anjali ji who loves you so much. Why should I believe you?
You should be ashamed that after I warned you off that day to stay away from me, you still pursue me when your wife carries your child. You should be ashamed that you pursue me even after I am married (how it happened is immaterial, fact is I am HIS WIFE - similar to Arnav's face off dialogue) And Arnav (or at least Akash) hears all this. I hope Arnav cos then he may start to see ...
What say ladies?
HAA, possible scene?
DeleteI guess now we will settle for anything that will help khushi and arnav come closer...Our personal life is on vacation and its not even any nice place...u know.
I just realised this shiddat thing..i have never prayed for something with such passion as we seem to be doing it for ARHI!!

wow......hit a century gals........congrats......
ReplyDelete@HAA...loved the possible scene, i hope they do something like that........also if he says something drastic against anjali and if khushi defends her i wud love that...........
If he says that the kid isn't his (i know sounds cheap but i can expect him to say that) and Khushi slapping him and saying how dare he says such thing bt Anjali who is such a devoted wife....and saying something like, its already too much to see his face around everyday, so he better stay away from her and not try to talk to her.........
And 100+ comments again .... we rock!!!
