Day of frustration for Snakewa .. everything backfired on him today =))
Tried to make mischief with Anjali against ArHi ... she decided on making Khushi official Raizada bahu.
Mami caught on to his fury ... lucky for him she misinterpreted it.
And to add final insult to injury, he was designated to set up the bridal 'sej' for ArHi's Suhaag Raat. Snakewa, ab bhi sudhar jao ... samajh jao ... you're up against not only Saale Sahab, but also Devi Maiyya ... you don't have a chance!
And I really do wonder ... does Anjali know her husband better than we think? Those were some very strange expressions there ...
Arnav bitwa, it's time you also had a few realizations of your own ... saying that you won't give her the position or respect of your wife is one thing, doing it is another. Not a peep out of Bitwa when Di made the decree official ... do all the rasams or else Khushi doesn't get the status ... glaring, fuming, staring ... but bitwa complied without a word ...
Saying you don't care about Khushi, that you hate her is one thing ... but then why do you jump up the moment she winces even slightly? Why does the sound of her bangles send your concentration haywire?
And why did you want to stay in the room while wifey was getting ready? ;)
Carrying over the threshhold ... the walk ... need to write at length on this, so will edit tomorrow. Devi maiya in action again - her agent this time - Khushi's earring :)
Khushi looked like a dream dressed as a bride ... no wonder Arnav bitwa couldn't take his eyes off her!
We still need a full blown ArHi wedding with pheras, mantras and the works ...SR is not happening till then ... :'(

Today was Devi Maiyya's day ... sending signals to the two dense men in her Khushi's life ... one - move IN, the other - move OUT!
So Anjali fiddling with her cupboard in very sombre mode - after all, Chotey is acting extra-stubborn, even for him, and won't confide in her ... and is holding the threat of moving out over her head. The last time she dealt with it by moving his girlfriend in ... but now wife is already in, and he's threatening to move both of them out ... which means she can't just throw Khushi out, Arnav will follow, he's made that very clear. So time to eat humble pie but do it in a way that makes him still realize the enormity of his deed ... somewhat.
A furious Shyam adds to her dilemma ... his first slip - almost calling Arnav by name, then recovering quickly ... how can we accept this marriage like this?
I wondered at Anjali's expressions here - the way she closed her eyes briefly ... it could have been her acknowledging the truth of Shyam's words ... it could also have been her upset at Shyam's adamant stand at not accepting the marriage and what it actually meant ... cv's have actually opened this possibility ...
But she just agrees with her husband as a good dutiful wife, he adds more fuel to the fire, and Anjali makes her decision ... a family meeting ...
Abhaas was good here ... no facial twitching ;) ... fluctuating between his own frustrated anger and keeping up the face of a concerned husband... worth watching the scene to see his expressions of satisfaction as he imagines what is going to happen ... the annulment of the ArHi marriage by the family ... no remorse or concern for Khushi that she would be alone, homeless and completely helpless if that did happen ... this guy is sick!!! x(
Or maybe he didn't know of Arnav's threat to walk out with Khushi if that did happen ... yet ... you've got a shock coming to you, Slimeball Snakewa!
Family meeting ... Anjali assuming the role of spokesperson?/decision maker here ... Arnav is apprehensive, ready to fire ... Khushi descends slowly to where the rest are waiting ... her future, her life is at stake here ... Already thrown out, disowned by her own family, if she is disowned by the Raizadas, she has literally nowhere to go.
Loved the way Khushi silently comes to stand next to Arnav ... not sitting down with the rest of the family, because she is not a part of them yet ... she is still on trial ...
Anjali's first words ... You will not be accepted as a Raizada bahu ...
And Khushi looks at Anjali in shock ... devastated ...disbelieving ... her eyes filling with tears ... where will she go now, what will she do?
Payal is upset, Nani nods firmly, affirmatively ... even Mami is shocked at the decision ... NK gets to his feet, ready to protest ... aww, he's a sweetheart >:D< Arnav starts slow boil ... till he sees Shyam's smirk ... and he gets to his feet decisively ...
Fine, if that's your decision ...
We're not done yet, Chotey. Don't speak in the middle ... this is not your office ...
He has to keep quiet ... Khushi is distraught ...

You will not be accepted ... till you do the grihapravesh and fulfill all the rasams of a married couple ...
And Khushi looks at Anjali, in shock and disbelief ... as though scared to believe that this could be true ...

Shyam's smile wiped off his face like magic ...
Nani nods again firmly ...
NK's face splits into a broad grin ... that's more like it ... did I mention he's a sweetheart? :x
Payal breathes a sigh of relief, Mami still open-mouthed, Mama nods in agreement ...
(side note - I would have it was more important to make sure they were actually married, by doing the pheras again, but oh well ... this means that there is yet another ArHi marriage to come before the real SR ... ;) )
And Khushi looks at Arnav ... as though asking him what to do ... what does he want ... what should she do ... he looks back impassively ... his silence is her answer ...

And Khushi reaches to take it slowly, hesitantly, as though scared to believe again that this is actually happening, that she is being accepted, that she has a place, that she will belong, even if for a short while ... the wedding joda, the embodiment of every girl's dreams ... what she thought she had lost ... and has suddenly been given back again ... her shattered dreams slowly taking shape again ... And again a look at Arnav, tears in her eyes, still fearful of his reaction ... in case he says no to them all at the last minute ... and he looks back with dawning surprise at her tearful acceptance, how much this means to her ... she wanted this?!
Back in Arnav's room ... no, their room now ... as Khushi sits on the bed with the shaadi ka joda, lost in thought ... her dreams with Payal about their Prince Charming ... Garima's words when she wasn't happy about her engagement ... don't worry, you will get all the happiness in the world after you get married ... as long as your life partner is good ...
Her words to Lavanya ... marriage is not just between two people, its a relationship respected by society ... and she just got that stamp of acceptance, of respect ... I'm sure that for everyone, there is someone just made for them ... is he that someone just meant for her? ... her own marriage, the abrupt proposal, the runaway wedding in the temple, sindoor, mangal sutra and done ... but it's been accepted ... she has been accepted ...
And Arnav enters the room to see her in tears, and he softens instantly ... seeing her distress, understanding it ... but of course, he hates her, he can't show it ... yet neither can he leave her alone ...
So laptop to the rescue ... back to her, as though he doesn't care at all ... and Khushi looks at him, her doubts, her questions rising again, he still hasn't explained to her the reason ... again she gets to her feet to face him, to ask him ...
To be stopped by a knock on the door ... Anjali ...
(side note - wonder if this is the first time Anjali knocked on Chotey's door?) Anjali hands over jewelry and tells Khushi that they are both awaited downstairs ... only a single grim look at Chotey, which he doesn't quite face ... and Anjali leaves ...
So Anjali is still angry with Arnav, is ready to talk to Khushi but not to him ... accepting his guilt is greater than Khushi's ... Arnav feeling guilty about the distance that has crept in between him and Di ... but it's for her sake, so it has to be ... Khushi feeling guilty that because of her, the distance between brother and sister ...
And Khushi changed into wedding lehnga, starts to get ready, while Arnav sits in the same room, pretending desperately to concentrate on his work ... while every chink of her bangles shows how well he is managing ...;)
She looks at him through the mirror ... does he remember the first set of bangles he brought for her?
Her dreams again ... of getting ready for her wedding, clothes, jewelry, pomp and ceremony, laughter and gaiety ... and the reality ... getting ready alone, a silent brooding bridegroom beside her ...
The heavy necklace threatens to choke her ... she lets out a small whimper ... and he's on his feet instantly ... tuned to her every sound ... is she hurt, does she need help? And as she looks at him in surprise, he's furious with himself again ... why can't he ignore her, why can't he concentrate on anything except her? And strides out of the room in disgust ...
Waiting at the door of RM ... Payal brings the aarthi thaali and the kalash of rice ... Arnav and Shyam have a brief, fierce, silent face off ... and Arnav waits for his bride ... and can't look away ...

He only manages to look away when she looks at him, her questions still in her eyes ... and then back to her as though drawn by a magnet ...
Khushi gazes at Nani hopefully as she passes her, but Nani is still grim ... it will take a while for them all to forgive her ...
And Arnav still can't stop looking at her ...
Loved the exchange of looks as she comes to stand next to him, her face troubled, nervous, worried, questioning, seeking answers still ... his trying to stay impassive, yet unable to hide the softness in his eyes ... his bride ... his wife ... he has to force himself to look away ... much to Shyam's fury again ...
Anjali does the aarthi with a very morose look on her face, her tone equally morose ... lighten up, woman, they're doing what you wanted, aren't they? Payal is still distressed ... and ArHi can't stop stealing glances at each other ...
Grihapravesh ... check ... kalash of rice knocked over ... Akash and Payal relieved ... Shyam gnashing his teeth impotently ... Snakewa, let your dimaag ki batti light up - every time you try to separate these two, they come even closer together ...
Anjali lets loose the next rasam .. he has to carry her in ...
(side note ... of course he has to, hamari shiddat kab rang layegi?! =)) ...)
Shyam actually closes his eyes in sheer exasperated fury ... oh no!!! Not that as well!
Arnav is taken aback ... he has to do what?! In front of everyone? Of course he's already done it a few times, but heck, no one knows about those instances, not even Khushi herself !
Khushi is going all red pink with embarrassment ... sweetheart, don't worry, this isn't the first time, it's just the first time you'll be conscious, that's all ... :">
Rather liked Mami's one-liner ... Akash did the same thing, only you guys were busy in your own personal marriage, so you didn't see it!
Arnav tries to protest ... Nani has the last word ... do as you're told, Chotey.
So Chotey does ... with a grim look stuck on his face as though he really doesn't want to do this at all (although inside him, laddoo phooting ;) ) ... Khushi hesitantly steals up her hand to catch his collar, looking at him as though to ask permission, still searching his face as to the cause of this anger ... loved her expressions here, hesitant, tentative, nervous, searching ...
I would have preferred a less grim, angry expression on Arnav ... some more conflict at finding her in his arms ...
Shyam fuming all the way through ... that would have been a heck of a long walk for him ...
Mami adds salt to his wounds by reminding him of the fact that both the Gupta sisters are now Raizada bahus ... his secret keeping just got ten times more difficult, because trying to sweettalk Khushi under the watchful eyes of Arnav and the slightly blinder but constantly present ones of her sister is going to be tougher than ever!
Arnav puts Khushi down like a sack of potatoes, Devi Maiyya does NOT approve, so Khushi's earring gets stuck to his lapel ... he holds her hand to remove it brusquely, gets a bit sidetracked and ends up removing her hand ever so gently, and releasing her earring ... Devi Maiyya is happy now.
And the best for the last ... can't believe am saying this about a Shyam-Anjali scene =)) ... Anjali forces Shyam to help decorate the wedding bed for Arnav and Khushi. Devi maiyya ka divine retribution ...=)) =)) =))
And again wondered at Anjali's expressions ... does she know/guess about Shyam's infidelities? And she hands him the flower petals ... well done, Anjali!!! =D>
More side notes - Don't know whether the scenes were originally written without dialogues for Khushi, or they made them that way because Sanaya lost her voice ... either way, it didn't matter ... she said everything through her eyes, her expressions ... she didn't need a word ...
ArHi marriage means that we are going to get a lot of bedroom scenes ... now, now, minds out of the gutter, people ... scenes in the bedroom is all I meant ;) =))

1. Undisputed: the best thing that happened: She handed the basket to Shyaam! ROFL...! oh wow...Snakewa is decorating Arnav and Khuhsi’s SUHAAG RAAT bed...Divine Irony. Perfect.
2. Manodrama slyly telling Shyaam...’I know what’s in your heart bitwa’...Forget Arnav, forget Nani, forget Payash...if Khushi had Manorma Mami on her side she wouldn’t need anyone on her side for saaton janm as a Raizada bahu...
3. NK jumped up outraged at the prospect that Khushiji wouldn't be accepted (Shabaash mere Black Knight...come hell or high water it going to take a lot more than eloping to make NK doubt Khushi’s good heart) Does he have to leave? I’m really going to miss him...Only one who really saw how through and through good Khushi is and in such a short span of time.
4. Abbhi farak padta hai!! She barely let out a gasp of pain and within a micro-millisecond ASR jumped up...Superman himself would be proud of ASR’s reaction time to anything Khushi related...too bad he can’t go all sadda haq on her right now...:-p...It’s okay - Dimaag is touring French Riviera right now once its back he can take care of her as much as he wants to;-)

What plays in her mind is something that I really want to know and wish to see more in coming days.
Wooohhoooooo!!! We are going to have so many many more Arshi scenes coming for next few weeks! My romantic antenna is in full swing now..aww..I love it..So much for wishes I hope everyone of your dreams to come true..If only I can ask for more is that scenes to be from both of them..Its Arnav who is showing that small things that happen to Khushi matter to him but what about Khushi! Her eyes show that she is with him in every problem..but the touches, the proximity with Arnav scares her..bring the Arnav's caring Khushi! may be slowly, i will grant writers that :-)
And, i don't want NK to leave the show I mean he is one super sona munda of mine!! I know if he will be there at least we can see Khushi smile at least once every two days!

DeleteI couldn't take my eyes off NK whenever the camera shifted its focus to him and Nani. I kept wondering about how he would react and to be honest, I don't think I have loved him more than I did in today's epi. He was genuinely relieved for Khushi - it drew such a sharp contrast between his character and Shyam's. One cares for her to an extent where even though she is not married to him, he is more concerned for her while the other doesn't really care if she is hurt (remember how he was smirking when Anjali was saying that she won't be accepted?) except that he is obsessed with making her his.
ReplyDeleteI loved the fact that Khushi's bangles caught Arnav's attention, his expressions were a treat to watch, specially the way he was torn between looking and ignoring. Btw, my wish just came true - by showing concern for her, he just reconfirmed that his feelings aren't just going to disappear in a flash not even when he believes the worst of her.
I am bit confused with Payal. I feel she is torn between wanting to support her sister (she seems to look upset each time Khushi is insulted) and being the perfect daughter-in-law.
Oh, on a side note, I am going to miss NK, I wish the creatives would bring him back some time in the future.
I absolutely agree about NK. That boy genuinely cares about her...Yes he had crush on her(Who wouldn't she's freaking gorgeous! side note: hate Sanaya for that non existent tiny waist)but the she married ASR and he's still there for her in whatever capacity, friend or brother-in-law. The difference is NK got to know Khushi...he likes her as a person, as a guy he had a crush on her, the crush goes away with the words 'bhabhiji' but he still likes her as a person. Whereas Khushi never opened up with Shyaam she maintained respectable distance and he kept coming after her (I blame bua for this...seriously woman 2 javaan ladkiyan ke saath you kept a kunwara PG). He really doesn't care about her...Yes he demonstrated that with his glee at her not being accepted (previously with her getting blame for necklace incident)...I think now its not only about lusting after and objectifying Khushi its just as much about beating ASR.

I read somewhere a long time back (can't even remember now as I have been googling about the show so many times) that the CVs are planning to back La as a revenge track or something. I so hope that is not true as La's character had become really sweet.
DeleteDeviating completely, since there were so many comparisons to HP, LOTR and so on, I couldn't help thinking that ASR is the Indian version of Mr.Darcy in most ways, both of them are extremely arrogant, care a lot about their sisters and have difficulty with their feelings for the heroine. Khushi is like Elizabeth as both of them have a feisty character and don't mind standing up to anyone for their sisters. *dream* in my opinion, I will take ASR any time over Mr.Darcy, he is so much hotter! *blush*
Hahaha...I love pride and prejudice (hated bride and prejudice)...but yeah..apt comparison...and of course Shyaam is our Wickham ...he got on alright with Elizabeth until his true colors about him and Georgina were revealed...

After ur post on anjali's hold on Arnav, I felt the CVs are sitting on a gold mine on how to play out the future parts, the sister-brother dynamics vis-a-vis Khushi-arnav marriage. They can always consult the blog for ideas u know...
It is a Red Herring for now. I don't think the writers have decided how to take her characters, so they are giving us mixed signals so all these would be useful in FBs.

I knew creepwa will intigatewa our pooja ki thaali but as usual uska plan total failwa. His act almost slipped when he called bitwa arnav and then covered up with saale saheb.
Mami almost gave crep a heart attack by saying I know what is in your heart!
I felt Arnav had that grr look in the precap for Shyam and yep he did
NK - MUAH for u today - 1 for feeling sad / shocked when Di said Khushi will not be accepted as bahu and 2 for the sincere smile and happiness for Khushi when she added but only after you complete all the rasams

We all wished that after Anji's dialogue Khushi looks at Arnav and yep they both looked at each other. And what was that look in arnav's eyes - was he asking "khushi tum theek ho?" / feeling embarassed that she now has to do this for his family tho he only gave her the symbols of marriage. I felt she looked at him as tho asking "are you ok with me doing this?"
How awkward were they they when he walked into their room. Arnav for a second was like oops! is this my room? :P
Khushi's FBs about her prince charming and a Happy Married Life - has she begun to accept in her heart that she will remain true to this relationship accord marriage the respect it has as a relationship in her eyes?

Khushi gets ready in THEIR room. Bitwa is soo distracted. Her bangle noise unsettles him and when she goes ouch - bitwa is up in a flash - and then unable to bear emotional atyaachaar huffs away. And how aware was khushi that arnav is in the same room as she decks up.
Bitwa is lost when he sees his bride and how awkward did they feel thru the whole carry the bride rasam - for once anji we r all proud of u :P
Khushi was so lost in him when he lifted her and she oh so slowly and hesitantly put her hand up to his collar. Arnav looks at her hand on him and did he feel "oh this seem so right". Bitwa walked into the house with head held high and feeling oh so proud with bitiya in his arms. and all of us went shiddat boy shiddat :)
aww and her earring got stuck in his suit and arnav moves her hand (DHAK DHAK ALERT) and eased the earring out. But how flustered was he all the while she tried to unentangle herself.

MY QUESTION PLZ ANSWER:
Minus the Pheras are they married or not? Is sindoor and Mangalsutra enough to be termed married or The Pheras absolutely necessary?
They are not legally married yet ... I was reading some replies on Tanthya's post, that in South Indians the mangal sutra is the defining moment, so some people felt they are married ...
DeleteBut in North Indian shaadis, the pheras are more important, just mangal sutra and sindoor alone is not enough ...
Also - this is from some research I did earlier ... the Hindu wedding is basically a social contract, it is solemnised in front of witnesses ... if you need to prove you are married, especially if you go abroad or something, then you have to have a marriage certificate, which will be given by the Marriage Registrar when he sees proof of this marriage - i.e photographs and witnesses who attended the marriage. The witnesses actually have to go the Registrar's office and sign an affadavit that they attended the marriage.
In India, most marriages are still not registered, the religious ceremony is enough ... but it has to be in front of witnesses so that there can be proof that the shaadi actually happened.
So legally they are still not married ... the family has accepted them, so for the world they are married, but from both legal and moral standpoints, they are not yet married.
So that SR is not happening for some time :))) We HAVE TO get a full blown ArHi wedding for sure ... which won't happen for another year a least, considering how long this one lasted!!!

I don't care!...oh but you do... koi baat nahin bitwa...at least KJ is doing full taiyari for your SR...that might cheer you up..

When khushi receives the shaadi ka joda from anji, she has tears in her eyes and looks at arnav saying see - marriage is so much more than a MS and sindoor. And he looks at her - puzzled / trying to decipher what is going through her mind / realizing her happiness at getting recognition for a bond which means so much to her and which she has entered into in a shotgun manner? Will he start faintly wondering if marriage is so important, how she may not callously ask another to break his / her marriage
anji came to the room and spoke to khushi telling her that everyone was waiting for both of them. will khushi help build broken bridges b/w the 2?
when anji leads khushi to arnav, she makes ArHi stand together and she herself stand b/w them and shyam. an indication of things to come?
Loved how when she is walking out, it is nani (a mother figure) that khushi seeks out.
While waiting for his bride, was that a smirk on bitwa's face telling his jija - na na na na na
And I think when he raises his eyes and sees khushi in her bridal avatar, for the first time, arnav realizes, this is MY bride, she is mine.
Akash looks so happy to see Khushi do the grihapravesh and be accepted as the bahu in the family
Love the looks they exchange when Anji tells him to carry her almost as if each says to the other "I know this is awkward for you but we need to do it, ok?"
Can I again say how I loved khushi putting up her hand to hold arnav's collar and his eyes fluttering about till then in embarrasment look down and note her hold on him
And Arnav for the first time in the history of IPKKND carries Khushi when she is awke. She was passed out the last 2 times (GH and Teej).

No one actually knows the extent of their history...Nani and Anjali barely know the tip of the iceberg...they don't even know that she's the reason La and Arnav's engagement got called off. They're both total chuppa rustams... bechaara parivar is shocked at their sudden nuptials...but we the audience are like ...vaise bhi itna kuch ho gaya hai or sari rasam tho ho chuki sirf shaadi baki thi.
Mami's comment to Shyaam was unnecessary, in the sense that it didn't have a plot purpose like when NK asked him who are you looking at during mehndi function. But nevertheless it was funny, and showed how observant mami is...I really like her mooh phat comments. Though I wonder if she'll have the himmat to call Khushi phati saadi in front of ASR...hmmm
And what's with Abhaas's acting...only one expression throughout the episode. That weird facial twitch. Makes Shyaam look like he has a muscle twitch in his face!! please for heaven's sake use your eyes. you don't have to scrunch up your whole face and squint.
SR waiting....Shwetha bitwa spent the whole night burning fuel. So gharwale know SR is on hold. After all SP...sanskari log hain hum:-p
Gargi, I am now getting irritated at the Twitch too. Abhaas does well with dialogues but with silent expressions it is hit or a miss.

Gargi and Shwetha.....i think the twitch is from the directors side......even barun does this different movement of his lips (sort of predatory style) but he does it well and i like it on him......but abhaas is not able to do it justice

The so called nafart from ASR is losing its steam way ahead of time? Him getting confused at her tears, distraction(That too BIG TIME... DUDE, you never thought through this now, did ya???), all indicate that right? Seriously "pyaar sabase bada hota hai..nafrat se bhi"..otherwise how will La's words ever come true? During earlier episodes we have seen his anger and that DID continue for long time. Bitwa lost only when she fainted or cried...
Khushi is also losing her anger earlier than expected? Her looking at his face wanting for his acceptance etc indicate that right? We have seen her being mad and making sure that Bitwa knows it.
Bottom line, sub consciously both of them SO WANTED this (May be they both were inspired by Shwetha and has their own Shiddat list?). Ek Room, ek bed (NO COUCH, I am with Shwetha..), Bitwa is so gonna suffer....jawan hai...and harmones uske control mein thodi na hain??? This so called upcoming passionate scene...could be one of those Diwali kiss type scene where both get distracted? For sure we know there has been infatuation from both side.
Loved the episode and silent acting from Khushi....SR...another confrontation coming up....hope this confrontation gets some answers for Khushi...nahi to how will she try to solve her problem...first she should know the problem...

ReplyDeleteBut I kind of am glad his expression was grim during the walk. I don't want them to lose their fight and anger so soon. In IPKKND land its still just the next day after Arnav discovered Khushi's betrayal. I'd like to believe that while he can't switch off his feelings for Khushi, he's disgusted with her and at himself for not being able to just switch off his emotions. The grihapravesh and rasams...I think he's doing it for his Nani and Di's sake and to one up KJ and remind KJ that Khushi is his Wife. None of it is actually for her. Only the involuntary reactions of concern are genuine. Right now he's not doing anything with Khushi in mind in fact he's trying real hard to surpress his feelings...of course Di handing biwi sexy shaadi ka joda isn't helping bitwa in that endeavor;-)
Deepa don't worry Khushi is not losing her anger...she's softening only towards the family because she really feels that her and Arnav's actions were wrong and she really cares about Raizada parivar who have treated her as one of their own since day 1. Arnav has told her categorically this isn't a real marriage so when HIS family wants to solemnize it with their rasams its Arnav's call so she looks to him for his decision. Even in this episode she was all raring to fight with him but Di came and saved bitwa's neck.
I think they will show more hostility, confrontation and cold indifference before either of them find out any more part of the truth...

From what i can see from both SBB and SBS seg Khushi still isn’t abla nari. And thank god for that. She is still giving back to him. Sure she would have lashed on him and hence the poolside. Maybe if she kept quite he would have allowed her the couch lol. So we can accept more of old scenes, I want a Almost Kiss scene again ‘ this one is more like the Nainital one
I think the morning after and some Arnav-KJ confrontation will clear the sleeping arrangments soon...after all it can't be poolside everyday..na..KJ will provoke and naturally bitwa will rise to the bait...arhi coming closer...willy-nilly!!

The SBS has LOADS of SaRun today - they showed the shooting of the SPA song, plus all the jodis are singing their own songs, I think, or maybe their own parts of the song ... SaRun were definitely lipsynching to some romantic moments ...
Bulk of the segment was on the new shows - IPK, DABH, EHM ... Gopi Ahem and Pratigya got very little space - at least that's what I felt ... what do you think?
Dia I think Star News has waken up to Arhi magic finally. Their teri meri segment has nearly 6 lakh views on last count. Which is why if you see they are almost featuring them daily.
DeleteAnd our show is pitted against BV which is a tough one unlike other shows in all the numbers where they are clearly the winners in that time slot.
Imagine with BV if our show was top 3 on trp and 2nd Tam, then if BV was not there, our show would easily be the no.1 show and I suspect for that reason the channel has woken up to its potential. Even with the lousy treatment it got and it straying from its storyline, it never went out of top 10. So touchwood, the good ratings continue and the quality is maintained.
And every actor gets his/her due cos they deserve it especially sarun.
Ooooooooooooh I so want Shyam to taunt him on that(ya I can be a bit evil when it comes to fictional characters ONLY, mind you).

DeleteShwetha, not only has our show beaten BV, BV was on top spot for ever and ever ... and no other show could challenge its position as slot leader. And the thing is, it climbed the charts slowly and steadily, means the viewers have been reeled in by the developing storyline ... and the acting, of course ... not just by one track - like Navya started, climbed rapidly, fell out quickly , EHMMB the same - it climbed quickly, then fell again ...
DABH and IPK have been consistent ... they started slowly, kept developing their plots step by step and have climbed the charts slowly and steadily ... IPK actually got sidetracked by that brilliant interpretation by someone among the 'powers-that-be' that comedy would work better than intense, but fortunately TRP's didn't support that at all, so they went back to main story ... and now there seems to be no looking back ... touch wood.
I don't follow DABH, but apart from the lead actress, the acting is decent, and the basic story is actually attractive ... I saw the last bit of one episode where Sandhya gives a lecture on how the girl child in India should be welcomed, and how India's sex ratio is falling ... it's a show with a message delivered through saas-bahu antics ... so am not very surprised it's doing well.
What STILL puzzles me is SNS *rofl*

And if you look at the SPA shoot videos, onscreen ArHi or offscreen SaRun, none of the other copuples hold a candle to our jodi yaar. kitne cute hain. And the best part is they seem so chilled out with each other. I always feel barun is the coy one of the 2 :)
And yes DABH within the bounds of story and saas bahu saga is quite decent. They are a pretty sweet couple. Definitely better than SNS IMO

I am soo cracking up - been real busy all day today and just caught up on all the posts. someone said silence on the blog - well thats cos we are all in ArHi dreamland since last night's episode ;) IF is seriously crazy. People are fed up of reminding each otehr that it is team ArHi all the way and at time you will be mad at one or teh other. Both too logical we would not be watching this show with so much passion.

And I like that they have not softened to each other so soon - would have been out of character. When he slammed that door and told her aaj se meri jagah yahaan and tumhaari wahaan, I recalled the bandagement scene when he said I do not want to see or talk to you from tomorrow. And I did a mental victory dance ki bitwa now that will definitely not happen, from tomorrow she will definitely be in your room BWAAHAHAHAHA
I think Arnav got all worked up cos he saw Shyam come out of the room or he saw Khushi on the recliner and not the SR bed when he came in. And what was that stupid dialogue about "Jahaan rehna chahti wahaan nahi reh sakti aur yahaan mere saath bhi nahi" Khushi you are a smart girl (remember even La said that) , come on now and start connecting some dots.
I do not want Arnav to take Khushi shopping next week. It will be good if he calls someone (ofc Aman;))and gets dresses delivered home. There will be a sudden influx of packages at home and Khushi will ask "aap yeh sab hamaare liye laye, kyun?"
If that promo spoiler is true then 1) Khushi wants to earn back respect at RM and 2) she wants Arnav to be rejoined with his family as she cannot see him in pain (when she is not angry with him for doing what he did)

It is not love only anger she can sense in him.
Yet he is fighting with his Di for her for them.
And then when she gets hurt almost rushes to help when just few hours ago had no problem hurting her.
And yes the carrying scene did not work for me too, I dunno if it is the stubble or the haircut rather the lack of it, Arnav appeared a lot more stern than he was meant to be. But loved his expressions uptil the point the struggling to keep his eyes away from her and the awkwardness momentary when he has to carry her.

muh dikhaai is a ceremony where in the bride sits with ghoonghat and all the family members lift her ghoonghat and give her a gift - made sense in the days of yore when brides wore long ghoonghats. This was the first time the women relatives got to see the chaand si dulhan.
