First of all, the title is for Sanaya ... her eyes in the bedroom, silently accusing Shyam, incredulous as to the depths to which he could sink ... and have to add, Abhaas was fabulous in that scene as well ... the silent conversation between Shyam and Khushi ... and how Shyam immediately took full advantage of Khushi's disgust and disbelief and with his own change of expressions, turned it into a private conversation to be seen and misunderstood by an already overwrought Arnav.
And her eyes later, as she keeps looking again and again at Arnav, trying to decide whether or not to tell him, looking for something in his eyes to help her decide ... wondering at his strange looks ... trying desperately to read him ... did she see his upset, or was she too distraught with her own thoughts to register it?
And finally at the wedding, although she decided not to tell Arnav, yet her eyes were constantly looking for him ... the worry never quite left her face ...
And Abhaas was fabulous in the first scene as well, as he first thought his game was up ... that was a repeat, done once earlier ... but then as the truth emerged (through some very corny dialogues by Anjali) ... how Shyam immediately realizes the situation has turned to his advantage ... much to Arnav's impotent fury. I actually laughed with Shyam at the seething Arnav, felt his glee and Arnav rage at his hands being so swiftly and unexpectedly tied ...
And Barun was fabulous in the car drive, as he remembers the old flashbacks of childhood, Anjali's first broken wedding, his mother ... and then remembers his moments with Khushi ... the old ones ... what were his thoughts there? Not about Anjali ... it seemed to be more about losing Khushi like he had lost his mother ... And will this be what triggers him to tie Khushi to himself ... even though he ostensibly does it to save Anjali's marriage?
Wonder why those fb's of Khushi were played there ...
They all spoke with their eyes today ... Arnav, Khushi and Shyam ... all three were fabulous ... but Khushi took the cake ... my heart went out to her ... and this is when the storm hasn't even hit her yet ... a pawn between the two men ...

I was wondering why the sister-brother scene made me more impatient than touching me ... realized it was because the acting was not up to par. Been there, done that ... has Arnav really hyperventilated his way through every little sickness of Anjali's all his life? And has she cried her way through them?
Watching again ... am wondering, did Anjali have an inkling about Shyam? Why the tension and hesitation when she discovered her pregnancy? And does she really not notice that Arnav is less than ecstatic?
Arnav is of course lost ... what does he do now?! Silenced for the moment ...
Shyam enters, worried that Arnav has been true to his word and told Anjali the truth. Both getting ready for the confrontation ... Shyam nervous, Arnav glaring ... Shyam tries to explain, Anjali goes to him and starts off her spiel ... designed to keep Shyam guessing ... I would have been amused but it was a repeat of the time he thought that Khushi had told Anjali the truth ... so it lost the impact slightly.
But the impact returned full force as Anjali tells Shyam of her pregnancy, Shyam is shell-shocked for a moment (what's the matter, Snakewa, don't you know how these things happen? You just admitted as much to Khushi up on the terrace ... :-&) ... and then his eyes change as he realizes he has a winning hand ... the fear he had of his bluff being called gone, banished ... and he stares victoriously at a fuming, silent, frustrated Arnav ...
No wonder Shyam isn't happy with Anjali ... no man likes sharing his wife so much with her family ...
Anjali goes on with her smothering love ... and Shyam playacts to full measure ... his victorious glee at this turn of events never quite leaving his face ...
Arnav closes his eyes as Anjali dreams about someone calling her "Ma" ... his Achilles heel again? How can he take that away from Anjali? Motherhood ... when they both have missed a mother for so long ...
And Shyam smirks hatefully again ... as Arnav shoots him murderous looks ... you may have won this round, but watch out, Mr. Snakeman ... Shyam doesn't care, he knows he's got Arnav good on this one ...
Great acting by both Barun and Abhaas ... Shyam was completely utterly hateful in his gloating victory, and Arnav utterly miserable as he stands helpless, frustrated ...
Shyam gathers an unsuspecting, dumb as usual Anjali into his arms ...

Arnav leaves on a long drive ... he has to get away before he murders someone ...
And as he screeches to a stop, he remembers ... Anjali is pregnant, Shyam gloating, Anjali is so happy, she loves Shyam ... Shyam loves someone else ... Shyam playacting ... Khushi saying, leave Anjali ... Anjali is pregnant ... what should he do???!!!
Arnav's frustration, his helplessness, his rage, his anger ... beautifully portrayed ... =D>
And then his thoughts move to Shyam saying Khushi is his life, his passion, his madness ... Khushi in Shyam's arms ... alternating with visions of Shyam the perfect husband ... those damning words "leave Anjali," ... his anger, his rage, in full flow ... and then his fear, Anjali will leave him like his mother did ... flashbacks of the past ... Anjali's wedding, his mother's death ... she left him, abandoned him ... and the pain kicks in, the agony starts, sharp, piercing, unbearable, till a scream erupts from the depths of his agonized tortured heart ... "Maaa" ... she left him ...
And then ... Khushi ... only Khushi ... Khushi and him ...
She came into his life when he had died inside ... she brought him back to life ... soft as the rain, gentle as a scared doe trapped under him ... lighting up his life with her light ... accepting, absorbing the pain he gave her ... and the passion ... and she left him ... like his mother did ...
And he breaks ... Arnav is gone, he just died again ... because once again, the one person who loved him unconditionally has left him ... or so he thinks ...
And ASR is back ... Shyam loves Khushi ... Anjali loves Shyam ... Anjali is pregnant ... Khushi wants Shyam to leave Anjali ... Shyam will never leave Khushi ... Anjali stands between Shyam and Khushi ... so Shyam should leave Anjali ...

RM - the house celebrates Anjali's pregnancy ... Garima, Bua and Khushi come in too, to congratulate Anjali ... Khushi still very perturbed ... still lost in thought ... waiting to talk to Arnav ... unable to even congratulate Anjali ...
And Shyam is all loviing husband, seemingly excited about his coming child ... and Khushi wavers again ... does he mean it, can he mean it? Shyam seems to be genuinely happy ...
She looks at Arnav again, as though seeking her answer in his eyes, but he avoids her gaze ... NK asks Khushi, you wanted to say something to Arnav, ... Shyam is scared again as Khushi looks at Arnav ... and he gazes accusingly at her ...
No, she doesn't want to say anything ... (how could she anything else in front of so many people, anyway?) ... and she thinks ... maybe she should keep quiet, maybe things will be all right now, there's a baby on the way ... by speaking, she might deprive a child of its father, a woman of her husband when she needs him the most ... maybe one last chance?
But she's still worried ... very worried ... seeking his eyes continuously ... looking from Arnav to Shyam-Anjali ... what should she do? And Arnav sees her looking at Shyam and misunderstands ... again ...
A wrong decision again ... and one which will rebound on her the most ...
And finally it's time for the wedding ... as Akash comes down escorted by NK ...and Payal by Khushi ... and Khushi's eyes look for Arnav again and again ... and again ... she may have made the decision, but she still wants to talk to him ...
Akash says he won't get married without Arnav ... and Khushi looks again for him ... her tension so evident in her eyes ...

ReplyDeleteThe precap just about gave me heart palpitations...such a stark opposite scene from him tenderly bandaging her hand only a day ago to grabbing her roughly and all but dragging her away:-(
Somehow after this precap and Gul Khan's interview I don't think Arnav is going to believe a word of what khushi has to say...and I've been going over the possible reasons for Khushi agreeing to marry Arnav...in yesterday's thread the idea that khushi agrees to marry Arnav to prove she is innocent- I really hope its that but somehow I have a feeling Arnav will play on the one thing he(no matter how much he think he's misjudged her) is sure of. Khushi's love for her surrogate family(ironically the strongest common trait between khushi and arnav).
Nani reiterated once again in today's episode the fact that Akash will not do anything against Arnav's wishes. Arnav will probably threaten Payal's happiness in exchange for the marriage-though that's horrid and I really hope the 'proving her innocence' track is what happens...the wait is killing me:-(
You know that is what I am hoping for it is not an outright marriage rather I am giving you the benefit of doubt marriage. Also the obvious what is it that he says that she agrees to this marriage in such a hurry?

ReplyDeletebeen having this sinking feeling that he may threaten to tell ppl that she was "living-in" with him and bingo wo threatening her family or sis he will do so - the infamy similar to lucknow will kill all of them (was thinkign cos the starplus news said she did it for teh good of the family) - she has no choice but to say yes
the main trigger for him marrying her is gonna be to take anjali out of te equation and bring himself bw shyam and khushi and teh unspoken threat to shyam that u touch my sis see what i do to teh object of your deewanapan. shyam does not know the exten fo arnav's love for khushi so that was his mistake thus far
that rising from ashes scene - OMG gave me goosebumps...and did u notice longer FBs this time and it started from the first time - the rain incident and teh ones shown today were not the we are in love ones but rather he thot of all those moments when he said he hated her but at some level was attracted to her and could not name it - a realization that she makes him weak in ways he never wants to be weak!? Also each incident was one where he felt like apologizing to her or asking her if she was ok after some hurtful action of his and he cries cos all thise hurts seem miniscule to the one he has got - ironically also miniscule to the one he will now inflict on her. also in all the FBs he has had of her till date the terrace scene of stars is not come even once - so for ASR its still all about truth or falsehood...
wondering why in the precap he drags her upstairs - another terrace scene? and not outside - so do they speak b4 the marriage? or do they come back man and wife from upstairs and that marriage happens just as the other couple bind themselves in the mandap below?
Qs Qs Qs and I am almost at my wits end... Lord put an end to this anticipation and get them married already!

DeleteI am guessing the parallel marriage happens assuming it is for real. Now the Qs:
1.What does he say and what makes her say yes.
2.What is he going to say to Nani, Fine you wanted to get married, why not here in front of everyone and why sort of elope and get married.
His answer will give an indication as to how he is going to treat Khushi. If he says it was his decision, then Khushi gets somewhat protected that would mean publicly they will put up a joint happy face. If he puts it on Khushi, she is going to have a hell of a time andar bhi bahar bhi.
A very good point about the FBs. It was where he was vulnerable to her losing control.
My guess drag her upstairs to his room, cryptic we have to talk and boom parallel marriages.

On 1 - I think he just tells her I want to talk to you. I want you to have a live-in / pretend marriage with me (cos Nani will throw a fit to live in like she did earlier and especially it being you she may just murder me). I want you in my life and if you do not agree say bye bye to your sister's wedding. I will tell mami her wedding broke once and then you know what mami dearest will do. (knowing khushi will never think about akash sticking up for payal, will not want to risk another broken wedding on her account and not knowing that the family already knows rishta broke)
On 2 - He will tell all that we loved each other and I wanted to get married to her asap; cudn't wait anymore - nani may buy it cos she know they are after all Tom and Jerry :)why not in front of everyone - well I dont believe in the rasams and all and khushi agreed for my sake to get married this way. I think he did not risk a wedding in front of family cos he knew that Shyam would have ample chance to play games to stop it and also cos then he cannot have a live in agreement with khushi
In Arnav's discussion with khushi I don't think Shyam ever came up. That will all come gradually. And when he brings it up, I wish she asks him why didn't you just send me away why did you marry me and bring me into teh same house as Shyam? - a variation of "kyun farak padhta hai aapko?"

The utter disgust in his face when Shyam touched Anjali.
The pain in his face everytime his DI spoke of an evil man who she treats like God.

Khushi makes a blunder again keeping quiet second time around, naively thinking, now that the child will set right everything forgetting the evil she saw, she heard.Ouchhhhhh...
Arnav mistakes her sadness, her reluctance as a sign of betryal again and not helped by Shyam looking at Khushi. Sign of things to come. Today Shyam did it unintentionally, from now on he will ensure Arnav thinks the worst of Khushi. Double Ouchhh..
Wedding has begun finally...Wait, Arnav is missing, so what next?
He will come why cos we saw it in the spoiler pics ha ha.
Tomorrow:
Arnav will come down, the rituals will start and Arnav will drag Khushi to his room and confrontation happens.
Then maybe they go off and get married?
A very good episode today and Barun completely dominated the proceedings.
Loved Daljeet and Abhaas too today. Waiting anxiously for tomorrow.
I felt this week they have deliberately not focused much on Khushi, they have clearly definded now - Arnav turning to ASR, Shyam's evil out in the open, Anjali's vulnerabilities and Insecurities.
Focus will shift to Khushi from next week cos she is going to be hit from both sides..Ouch OUCH OUCHHHH.

DeleteShyam is being most astute now ... smart and fast on the uptake ... he is going to play Arnav's misunderstanding for as much as he can, and try to get distance between Arnav Khushi.
Although he told Arnav the only obstacle between him and Khushi was Anjali, he knows that the actual obstacle is actually Khushi herself, and only by isolating her and making her helpless, can he ever hope to get her ... but he hasn't reckoned on how strong Arnav's feelings are ... so he is going to be check-mated today ... but he will keep bouncing back ...
Yep, this week has so far been about Arnav, Shyam and Anjali ... Khushi has been weakened, to get her ready for the role of sacrificial lamb ... but I hope to God they don't make her the typical sacrificial SP bahu ... :( Khushi has to retain her fiestiness and her spirit!
Anjali irritated me ... her constant pati-parmeshwar jaap and her blindness ... as well as her cloying affection ... now I understand what Gul meant when she said Anjali is the one most affected by the past, not Arnav.
I have always felt when people said that Anjali was Arnav's strength, that this wasn't true - she was his weakness ... she was never a mother-figure, she was a child ... and he had to grow up so quickly to take care of her ...
Khushi will be both - she is his weakness already ... we saw in that anguish when he thought she betrayed him ... but when they get married, she will be his strength, because she can welcome life with open arms, embrace the positives and move on after the negatives ...
Am waiting for the focus to shift to Khushi more ... Sanaya is awesome in emotional scenes ... she was known as the Queen of Emotions in MJHT, and it's the reason I fell in love with her acting. And the calm, quiet kind of strength with subtle held back emotions - that is what she does superbly. But it will hit us hard ... both Barun and Sanaya seem to excel in these kind of scenes ...
Yesterday Shyam looking at Khushi was can I say unintentional in the sense he did not realize Arnav was watching them. From now on he WILL makes sure every single act of his puts Khushi in a bad light for Arnav as if she still has feelings for Shyam.
DeleteExactly, Shyam has no clue how strong a bond they share, the extent of the love Arhi have for each other.
Dia, Khushi will fight for her innocence for her love and for Anjali. There might be a time when she will lose hope, stop fighting, simply give up hope vis a vis Arnav (may be her dad's death?) but she will never stop fighting Shyam. At that time she would be the most dangerous for Shyam cos she would have absolutely nothing to lose.
Anjali was and always will be Arnav's weakness, until a turnaround we are hoping for in Anjali happens.
Khushi IMHO has and will always be Arnav's biggest strength. At his most vulnerable moments he has turned to Khushi and never Anjali.
From Monday it will be Khushi all the way. This week it was a gentle reminder to all the viewers on what Arnav/ASR, Anjali, Shyam as characters stand.
It will be full on war inside and outside.

Arnav IS going to play on Khushi's love for Payal and her fear about Payal's marriage getting cancelled yet again at the mandap ... but will he tell her he knows about her and Shyam? I also don't think he's going to believe a word of what Khushi says ... the whole set up has been to deepen the misunderstanding again and again to the point of no return ...
Yep, the ring falling back into the milk I think that was an indication that Payash rishta is on the line ... that is how Arnav forces Khushi into the marriage ... but how will he lead up to it? How much will he tell her about Shyam? Will she even know she has to prove her innocence, or will he keep her in the dark about that and just be as cruel as he was during the initial days?
The flashbacks ... at first they were only of her betrayal, or what he thought of as her betrayal ... but then he remembered his mother ... and then the fb's were all about him and Khushi, their gentler moments ... as I wrote in my post, I think it's then he feels the pain of her going ... and determines he will not let her go. Be it as a punishment for betraying him, but he cannot let her leave ... Anjali's pregnancy is the excuse his conscious mind is using, but his subconscious is punishing Khushi for what he feels she did.
I need a busy day today ... I barely slept at night after the episode, and am still so tense!

Dia - Same here. I hardly sleep at night these days. Only silver lining is I get to watch the episode first thing in the morning , so no torture waiting for it during the day. I hardly sleep, wake up in the middle of the night to catch the SBS/SBB updates.

Dia, From yesterday I am consciously cutting down my time at IF and spending more time here. And guess what I got so much work done yesterday and have so much more to do cos for the past month or so, I have let the show take over my senses,lol.

ReplyDeleteHey girls, just watched the SBB on the Gr8 Women Achievers Awards show (something like that ;) ... and realized why Sanaya was missing so much the last few days and had very few dialogues etc. ... she was busy on this.

have not seen SBB/SBS Dia..and I did not see any ads about GR8 awards...only filmfare awards are coming this weekend on sony...will let you know if I see any ads about GR8 awards ;-)

DeleteI have been reading your blog updates regularly, something I can never boycott doing everyday! As always you write so meaningfully especially the inner feelings of ArHi(it used to be SaJan before);) and I have to say I enjoy reading comments too here, you all write so well,they all give so many possibilities as to where the CVs may lead this track ahead! More than spending time in reading the drooling/spamming posts at IF, it feels good to spend more time reading the discussions here :P and today I just thought of finally join you all lol I'm super tensed and excited for this track! I just hope the misunderstanding wont last for too long and like some of you said I don't want Khushi to sit and just weep helplessly instead of fighting fiercely for her rights! I want the fighter in her, the tigress that makes her different from other SP heroines! Looking forward to ArHi marriage and more actions :)
@SBS & SBB - Sanaya, Drashti seg was super fun! Good to see these two chilling out together! and San will always be San, who would never forget to praise the talents of people around her!:D

ReplyDeleteJust saw the SBS with Sanaya and Dhrashti, these two are a riot - San says we're Star One actresses, chemistry toh aa hi jayegi ... talking about herself and Dhrashti!!!
What I love about San is her sense of humour - she always pokes fun at herself ... never at anyone else ... and she is always generous in praise of her co-stars, never of herself.

ReplyDeleteSanaya is such a natural, she was so good as the mellowed Gunjan and seems to be playing the talkative and racquetball Kushi with the same ease, it takes a lot of talent to switch into such contrasting roles. I remember watching a SBB or SBS segment on Mohit's Birthday..where he asks gunjan ke style may Happy Birthday bolo and she quickly switched to that mode and said it...it was all done with spontaneity and done so well!
I am really looking forward to watch her in the upcoming track..as I feel it will bring out her talent really well..

ReplyDeleteI was just mentioning as to how Sanaya has done these contracting roles of Gunjan and Kushi so beautifully the mellowed gunjan and this fiesty and talkative kushi..such a contrast and yet, so well done!
I remember watching a segment on SBB or SBS on Mohit's B'day where he asks Sanaya to say Happy Birthday in Gunjan Style..and there she was fatak se she said it..loved it! and this was in between a laughing convo...and yes, her sense of humour is awesome!

DeleteI was mulling over yesterday's epi and looks like arnie and kushi did not discuss anything about snake's acts. Both seem to be holding it for later. I was kinda hoping that at least we would know what transpired between the two..but I guess the suspense is good ;-) Keeps folks hooked and maybe help for the TRPs ;-)
