In a very tense, taut episode, I was glad of one thing ... even though it followed the cliched predicted track, all the characters were true to themselves.
Khushi ... distraught, tense, running to find Arnav, because she realised this madness of Shyam's is bigger than she had thought ...
... after, of course pushing Shyam away and giving him (finally!) a piece of her mind ... and letting him know that his machinations were useless, and his pursuit hopeless.
Arnav - today after ages, Barun acted very well ... he was very average in the emotional scenes in the last couple of episodes, but today he was back to being excellent ... as Arnav comes to terms with the biggest shock of his life and decides he has to tell his sister.
Shyam - evil, wicked, manipulative to the core ... quick to realize Arnav's distrust of Khushi, and take full advantage of it ... now turning fully evil with a vengeance ... and the game begins in earnest.
Shyam-Arnav confrontation ... Arnav furious, raging ... Shyam laughing, in control, unapologetic ... do what you like ... what can you do?! Because he holds the trump card ... or so he thinks ...
And if Anjali is actually pregnant, he might well be right. And Arnav might find himself in the same situation as Khushi - having to hide the truth of her husband from Anjali ... will he do it? Or will he go ahead and disclose the truth regardless?

Call it cliched or call it staying true to character - fully expected Khushi to lash out at Shyam and tell him where he stood with her, married or not ... i.e nowhere ... and she did :)
Call it cliched or staying true to character - Arnav did stay to listen to her response, but not completely ... and left before he heard the relevant part ... now that was expected ... :-s
Expected Khushi to tell Shyam to stay away and never touch her again ... and she did ... Well done, Khushi! :)
Wanted Khushi to tell Arnav about Shyam because she realized he full extent of his deceit, after remembering Shyam's words about following her from Lucknow ... and that's exactly what she wanted desperately to do ...
Expected Payal to stay clueless ... and she was ... expected Khushi not to tell her anything, after all, it was her wedding day ... and Khushi didn't ... but didn't hesitate to look for Arnav to tell him everything, regardless of any possible repurcussions on Payal's wedding ... trusting that there would be none. Trusting Arnav to know what to do, how to handle things, handle Anjali ... because she knew she couldn't handle this on her own. :-<
Expected Shyam's reaction to Anjali being alive ... and his ability to pull the wool smoothly over doting wife's eyes ... happened exactly that way.
It was actually understandable that Anjali had kept herself brave for her family and Chotey, and broke down only in Shyam's arms ... her husband is supposed to be her protector, while she is the strength and weakness of her family, so she has to stay strong for them, while leaning on her husband's support.
Arnav's reactions ... today Barun was spot on, both as he walked down the stairs, trying to take in what he had just seen ... his heartbreak in his eyes, as he remembered Khushi in Shyam's arms, and her telling Shyam to leave Anjali ...
Then in his room as the ramifications of what he had seen sank in ... and he starts thinking about his Di ... yes, I'm happy they did it this way, showed that Arnav's first thoughts were of Khushi and his own heartbreak, and only later did the wider implications sink in as to what it actually meant for his sister ... the respect he and the Raizadas had given Shyam, the love his sister bore for him, and the betrayal ... and what it would mean to her, yet he had to tell her ... immediately ...
Loved the part where Arnav tears off his tie and sits on the bed in tears, remembering again the betrayal ... but this time, it's about his sister ... Barun acted fabulously there ... nothing OTT, very restrained, the suppressed fury and pain all in his eyes and body language ...
And best scene was undoubtedly the confrontation between the two men ... finally we have a villain worthy of the hero ... and heroine, for that matter. Shyam - evil personified ... obsessed, maniacal, unrepentant, wily as a coyote, quick to seize advantage of Arnav's misunderstanding about Khushi, and use Arnav's two weaknesses ... Anjali and Khushi ... using Arnav's love for one to challenge Arnav - go tell your sister what you want, she won't believe you ... while using Arnav's love for the other to sow the seeds of doubt and weaken Arnav's trust ...
Only problem is, Shyam's plans always backfire :p ... every time he tries to drive Arnav and Khushi apart, he only succeeds in bringing them closer together :)
By telling Arnav that the only person between Shyam and Khushi was Anjali, Shyam made a huge mistake ... now Arnav will put himself between Shyam and Khushi ... and Arnav is a far more difficult obstacle to remove. Especially after Arnav hears Khushi's side of the story ... which hopefully, Khushi the fiery tigress, will insist he listen to, even if he doesn't believe it at first. Even if Arnav doesn't believe her nitially, it should be enough to put himself between her and Shyam, till he figures out the truth ... and till he figures out the right time to tell Anjali ... with the news of her pregnancy ...And when he has to hide the truth for Anjali's sake, will he be better able to understand why Khushi also hid it?
Both Barun and Abhaas were fantastic in that confrontation scene! Well done!

RED ALERT ... NEW PROMO - ArHi married!
Hey Diya, thanks for posting so early........i enjoyed today's episode.....Khushi's reply was too good...... now m sure that the camcorder is there somewhere, cause Arnav will need to hear it...
ReplyDeleteHow can Payal be so one dimensional, she is worried about Mami, when she knows that a bigger fraud is lurking around in RM.... all she can think of is Mami and Akash....but loved the way Khushi remembered Arnav the moment Payal mentioned Akash, as if her heart knew that at time of distress she needs only him....
when Arnav's flashback was all of Shyam's behaviour and only one of Khushi's, i thought maybe he just might give her a chance, but he himself, gave fodder to shyam.... but shyam is also too good.... he always tries to push ArHi closer.... n this time also he is doing just that..... his dialogue that Anjali is a hurdle between him and Khushi, will force Arnav to marry her.......else after knowing the truth he wud've thrown her out....
Anjali won't hear anything that arnav said, n they will get anjali's pregger news and Arnav may twist the topic n say that he wants to marry Khushi immediately.......
did u see the sbs segment......Sanaya is looking gorgeous.......
Geetu,
ReplyDeleteYep, enjoyed the episode, it went as expected, but for one the screenplay was much better today, everything was well knit and the acting was good again ...
Today I realised why I wasn't impressed with the Arnav-Anjali scenes last week - it was because Barun's acting wasn't good ... today he was back to excellent ... the scene where he tries to come to terms with what he just saw and heard, and remembers how much his Di loves Snakewa, he was brilliant!
I loved Sanaya AND Khushi today ... if Khushi hadn't shouted back at Snakewa I would have been very disappointed and upset, and if she hadn't gone running to talk to Arnav about Shyam, I would have been even more so. When you can predict what a character will do, and they do it, that means those characters have truly come to life ... I loved Khushi today!
Same with Arnav ... I expected fully that he would misunderstand Khushi - after all, that's the basis of this track, but the way they built it up, through the scheming and manipulation of Snakewa, so that it did have some basis, it worked for me ... although I was expecting it anyway!
And you're so right ... every time Shyam tries to push ArHi further apart, he only succeeds in bringing them closer ... now we know why Arnav will marry Khushi - to keep her out of Shyam's way ... Although I hope Khushi does insist on telling him about Shyam, even if he doesn't listen or believe her right away ... and he marries her for her own safety as well as for Anjali. And I hope when Arnav is forced to keep the news about Shyam from Anjali, he realizes why Khushi also felt she had to do the same.
Payal is such a self-centred girl ... all she thinks about is herself ... not once why Khushi is looking so upset!
This week is going to be interesting! Yep, saw the SBS - Sanaya looked soo pretty ... but I didn't like that blue and red outfit! Why can't they give her some nicer clothes! :( Good thing is, after marriage, hopefully the Chamkili suits will go!

ReplyDeleteLink to the new promo...not a very good quality...but will do for time being to start Valentine day...
Now the wedding makes sense...Keep Khushi out of equation...
Did it seem like Arnav has got his doubts cleared from the promo?
But yeehhhhhh!!!! I woke from my sleep!!!
Deepa, thanks for link ... I think Khushi will manage to talk to Arnav, and he won't believe her ... but our girl is no silent weeping kind - am sure there will be a fiery confrontation and a challenge of sorts ... and they will land up in marriage! Trust these two to not do anything the right way round! And since the wedding is only on Thursday, hopefully we will have an Arnav-Khushi scene before they go for the saat pheras ...
DeleteGlad you woke up!!!! :D
this is great!! for a second after watching last night's episode i felt like i dont want to watch IPKKND anymore as I really dont like to deal with conflict!! But after reading what you just wrote...I'm definitely going to continue on watching!! thank you!! :)
DeleteBadhaai ho Badhaai everyone. Got this wonderful news the first thing in the morning.
ReplyDeleteLooks it will be a sham wedding...Arnav will say I won't marry you, but we will pretend that we are married. You are going to stick around till the baby is born after that you can leave, I won't care.
I too loved Barun Abhaas scene, the biggest takeaway was that Arnav has heard it from the Snake's mouth about his reality. Yes Snake manipulated and dragged Khushi but for how long right?
Btw, How sick is that he gets Anjali pregnant while lusting after Khushi *Yuck*
Barun-Abhaas scenes are going to rock, just hope in the mind games to follow we get some brilliantly written lines.
Arhi I am not too worried, just want to say,
Hum tum ek kamray main band ho..
Jo chaahay Ho jaaye..
Oh and Happy Valentine's day everyone*hugs*
Shwetha, I don't think it will be a sham marriage ... if Arnav really suspects Khushi of being in cahoots with Shyam, he would want to make sure she can't run off with him at the first opportunity ... and Khushi should not agree to what would essentially be a live-in relationship ... I hope they really get married, and then they can have a full ceremony later with all the taam-jhaam ... vaise bhi, this wedding was more about Arnv-Khushi than Payash wedding!
DeleteI like your new gaana!
Happy Valentine's day to everyone! *hugs*
yay.....finally they are together.......don't care if they are married or not (as some people are saying it will just be a 8 months sham marriage contract) atleast they are together and khushi is out of shyam's clutches.....
ReplyDeleteShe is gonna prove herself innocent, we all know that...so bring it on cv's.....we can't wait......
@Shwetha.... Shyam is a sicko.....he needs to be put in a asylum ASAP....but how well he manipulated everyone in RM, didn't he ? even ASR never doubted him.....
By the way, I was rofl when Anjali called Shyam and said,'yaha, uppar'........ trust the cv's to come with up tongue-in-cheek humor.....
Happy Valentine's Day everyone... :)
Geeta: I know Payal irritated me too, she does comes across as selfish doesn't she?
ReplyDeleteAnd totally agree with you, when i saw the FBs for a moment I thought oh good, he still has not thought about Khushi's role yet, then Bammm..Shyam manipulates Arnav.
Dia: I know didn't like the outfit but hopefully the chamkili suits would go, thank god.
Looks like they will pretend to have gotten married for their families. Remember how in janmashtami khushi told him off for living in thing, he will exactly offer that, dunno what will be the bait, payash marriage or you want me to believe you, move in with me, you can pretend to be married for the outside world, but we will have a live in.
I guess it takes care of the channel's objections too. And if there is huge hue and cry, they can get them really married too.
Deepa: I think he will give her the benefit of doubt and hence the marriage. Face it, if it was Kanta Bai would he have married Kanta Bai. Somewhere maybe he trusts her, wants to trust her or is simply in no mood to let Khushi be someone else's.
SBS: Anjali is pregnant, Shyam gloats, Arnav decides to keep quiet.
Spoiler copy and paste from forum:
Well yes... His sister, Anjali is expecting... So to save his sister from getting heartbreak, he marries Khushi... The story follow is something mind-blowing... It might be something u rarely saw on Indian television... Zabardast twist...
At the time being, to see Shyam losing Khushi, Arnav winning Khushi and Khushi losing everything... :-(
Arnav will get to know the truth, but not very fast, it takes time for it to build suspense and intensity into the picture... As I said trust build up gradually, not by magic, he will not take it so fast from Khushi or believe her in just by blink, as it says actions speak louder than words...
It's much interesting to see how Arnav can hold himself back from Khushi, how to control his emotions and from being near her even considering being in under one roof... Attraction is high from both sides, and it's on level of love now, so it's much stronger, it's time to see how love can win over hate as of emotion, we all know evil never wins at end... So take it easy and trust me at least once...
Anticipation of pain was much more painful than actually bearing the pain.
ReplyDeleteSince the Shyam's truth revealing promo aired, I for sure really felt pain anticipating what would it mean for Khushi and Arnav. After all Arnav was just coming out of his own imposed shell. The moment, you feel the happiness, anger, sadness , joys, pains of the fictional characters, then we should acknowledge the good work CVs, actors and others are doing. Even though, the front facing are the actors, in the background, there are others who put lot of effort to make us visualize it...Kudos...for keeping us hooked to the show.
This episode of finally Arnav realizing Shyam was less painful to watch(yeah yeah..the pain has finally sinked in over the week end :)). Arnav and Shyam's confrontation was very good. I knew that Shyam would manipulate and Arnav would misunderstand. The more Shyam becomes manipulative, closer he is brings Arhi. I am waiting to see Khushi and Arnav's confrontation. Yeah, he has misunderstood her now, but she has enough evidences to prove her innocence. But yeah, Arnav had rights to know what a two timing %&^%&^% his BIL is. Arnav has all rights to be mad at her. But how long??
Like you all said, Payal has been showed as matured, ever understanding sister. Where was she today? May be, can't blame her, big day for her and too scared of Mami.
As of now Arnav only knows that Shyam has been two timing. The biggest thing yet to be disclosed is, he tried to kill Shashi and Anjali. How that will unfold? Shashi gets better and spills the beans? Doesn't seem like a possibility. When Arnav comes to know how much Anjali's life is in danger Shyam being with her all the time...he would panic. This accident scene and all is just putting stage to that.
Now the promo.
First of all..I went yeeeeeehhhh.....I was happy...I wanted them to work as team to solve the problem....and seems like that is how it is going to be...Arnav being the smart business man...he took away the concerning object from Shyam for which he was leaving his Di. Good move babuwa....The look that both Arhi give to each other, for me it seemed like, Arnav has heard her side of story..What do you say girls? But OMG..they look so good with each other. I guess we need to wait and watch and see what sort of wedding is that? But Arhi in one room means lot of good scenes....I am sure CVs will make them fall for each other all over again , this time more stronger and more solid.....
That spoiler is interesting ... I'm sure Arnav can't keep away from Khushi for too long, and Khushi will be doing her best to win his trust, and convince him of her love so we can expect LOADS of ArHI!!! :))) YIPPEEE!!!!
ReplyDeleteMe too agree with you all ... we'll get ArHi together ... baaki sab hum jhel lenge! And their relationship will build up stronger than ever, they will be together all the time, without people wondering why Khushi keeps haunting RM!
Both Arnav and Khushi know Shyam's truth, but their hands are tied ... so what will they actually do? And what will Shyam do ... he can't leave Anjali now that she is pregnant - will he keep trying to kill her? Or will he just be furious about Arnav-Khushi marriage, so keep trying to poison that relationship?
Let's see what happens ... the goal of the track seems to be basically building ArHi trust and strengthening their bond ... so bring it on!!!
Deepa:
ReplyDeleteNow he will have valid excuse to stay at home,lol...Keep a watch on his di..Office, what Office. Plus Wifey bhi hai, technology hai, kaam ho jaayega.
We have been hinted at a funeral, My guess is it will be babuji's cos that actor is busy with another show and before dying, I think Arnav would come to know and finally he will believe Khushi. Also he knows how much khushi loves her bauji, so that will be the turnaround for him, I think.
I am also guessing khushi won't have that much of an easy time in RM. Although Anjali and Nani would be happy that would be a bit upset at the way they got married. Now Arnav is not on her side, he is on the borderline watching Shyam and Khushi. Shyam we know is an excellent manipulator, so it might not be that easy for Khushi too. We never know how they are going to take it.
I am hoping for more Arhi scenes, Arnav-shyam scenes, let us see what we get.
Dia: Hey hope everything is okay, didn't see much of you in the forum and here too. Take care*Hugs*
Dia: Yes it is about making arnav khushi relationship stronger. I think he will ask her to stay till the baby is born and afterwards he will definitely kick shyam out ( I am hoping it is anjali who does it) and he will tell khushi, you can get out of our lives.
ReplyDeleteBut letting go of someone is not that easy is it?
Shwetha, all fine, yaar ... just been busy with sudden influx of guests and things :) Been out most mornings, so I get time to sit at my lappy only by evening - and then I'm glued to IF! :D
ReplyDeleteYep, I wonder what Nani's reaction will be ... and what explanation Arnav will give for the sudden marriage ... why in a temple or court (whatever they do) and not at home in the same mandap ... I hope they actually do get married, though ... ok, we know it's to preempt Snakewa but what reason will they give?
But another thought ... Arnav can't kick Shyam out because Anjali is mentally fragile because of pregnancy, right? So he will kick him out once the baby is born? So will Anjali become miraculously strong by then? There has to be something more, yaar! Unless the cv's are very unimaginative!
I'm also hoping that when Arnav finds he can't tell Anjali about Shyam he does understand why Khushi could not.
And also, what did Khushi tell Shyam? If you don't love Anjali, leave her.
What was Arnav going to tell Anjali? Leave Shyam because he doesn't love you.
Essentially the same advice. Will Arnav realize that?
Dia, exactly both are going to say the same things only thing he was going to say it to his DI and she said to Shyam.
ReplyDeleteAlso would the family be readily happy, chalo kaisay bhi shaadi ho gayi, there would be some reservations too right, kuch toh sochengay?
Arnav they know is impulsive, what about khushi, she should have reasoned with him right, aisi bhi kya jaldi thi?
What about the Guptas reaction? Will they go that route that Khushi will not have the rosy welcome we all thought she would initially? Arnav will not make it easy for her, Shyam will be literally ready to pounce on her?
Too many possibilities..and hopefully they will give us a good reason.
Yep, the same thing ... only Arnav is going to interpret it as Khushi meant that Shyam leave Anjali for her. But again, the bottom line is that Shyam said he does not love Anjali, his marriage means nothing to him ... and Shyam didn't put the blame on Khushi, as we thought he might - he admitted frankly that he loved Khushi to madness.
ReplyDeletePity Arnav didn't stay back to hear Khushi say that married or single, she would never be with Shyam ... but of course, then how would the story proceed?! ;-)
Will Guptas have any reaction at all?! Actually, Buaji might worry about Shyam, and Khushi might confide in her later ... on the other hand, if this is a deal between Arnav and Khushi, he might forbid her from telling anyone the truth of their deal. But Guptas will not have much to say, that's my feeling ... Nani will be upset in the beginning for sure, even though she likes Khushi and wanted her as bahu. But this secrecy will upset everyone - including Anjali.
Dia waiting for your post:) have lots to say for what was a filler epi at first impression, lol.
