Heartwrenching, heartrending, heartbreaking ... Khushi, dammit, break your silence and tell them all - even I don't know why he's done this!!!
And it's a live-in disguised as marriage ... :(
Why did he leave her alone to face both families? x(
I actually don't blame her family for their reactions ... in their eyes she has shamed them completely, getting married like this in a runaway fashion, on the same day as her older sister's marriage, into the same family ... Nani getting worked up on Khushi was very annoying, though ... but again, same thing ... he left her to handle both families and she did ... and was totally broken by the end of it.
The small Shashi scene at the end was the saving grace - Shashi able to tell her that he believed in her ... Shashi probably would guess that Shyam is up to his tricks again, right now Shashi is the only person who has actually seen the ugliest face of Shyam.
He broke his word ... he asked her to marry him, not to live in ... but what he did was not a marriage ... sindoor and mangal sutra don't make up a marriage ... he has basically told her to live with him and pretend to be married for six months ... the saving grace is of course that he isn't planning an actual affair under the guise of marriage. And also that he gave her the cover of the symbols of marriage - a token respectability, as it were.But she is ruined nevertheless ... her family abandons her, her in-laws lose respect for her and the man she loves, hates her ... all to save her adopted sister's marriage the second time around ...
When is she going to ask him that all important question - WHY???!!!
Arnav, search your heart and ask yourself - was this really the only way out? Is this really only for your sister? Isn't it the love that turned suddenly and corrosively into hatred overnight when you felt she had let you down ... and isn't that the most unfair decision you have taken in your life? Marry her - yes ... but in this way?
I keep repeating a self-evident truth ... Sanaya Irani is simply heartbreakingly, breathstoppingly awesome in emotional scenes - I hate her for this!!! =D> =D> =D>

So Arnav does suddenly and belatedly start realizing the enormity of what he just did ... says, you wanted me to get married, so I did ... end of story.
But is it slowly starting to sink in that this is NOT the end of the story - the importance of marriage, the rituals, the sacred promises taken not just between two individuals, but in front of witnesses - marriage is a social contract ... All other relationships are from ties of blood, but marriage is the only relationship that is based only on trust, respect, mutual understanding and love - that is why they say marriages are made in heaven - by a higher power and with even greater sanctity than the blood ties that define all other relationships. Two people NOT related to each other by ties of blood, come together, promise to spend their lives together, make a brand new family, raise the next generation ... it is easy to stick to a brother or sister, even to mother and father, because those relationships are pre-defined by blood ties - but what makes two virtual strangers come together, promise to stay together and start a new family propagating new ties of blood ... only that sacred bond, with love, trust and understanding. A bond formed by God, and witnessed on earth by family, friends and society. Sindoor and mangalsutra, wedding bands, those are the mere symbols of that bond - they cannot be equated to the bond itself.
But Arnav chooses not to believe that - he does not believe that ... for him, marriage is a ritual, just a name, a face to show the world - so he gives Khushi that face ... but none of the emotions that define the ties.
So their bond was determined by Devi Maiya, and witnessed only by her too ... this time, not even the priest to do the honors.
Which reassured me - there WILL be a full ArHi marriage down the line - with full pomp, ceremony, all the rituals and all the emotions.
Nani blasts Arnav - good for her. Arnav is a bit abashed, but for him getting the better of Shyam is paramount. And Buaji starts off on Khushi ... okay, it was all justified, but painful to watch ... the only saving grace was that Shashi still seemed to understand that something big must have made her do this.
Anjali also questions - no answer. And he leaves - only stopping to give Shyam a victorious look.
Anjali and Arnav heartbroken on either side of the door - he says, "I'm sorry, Di," ... that's all very well, but have you given a thought to the girl whose life you just ruined? No, he hasn't - that half smile through his tears, because he's glad he destroyed her as well ... the girl who would have broken his sister's marriage or the girl who broke his heart?
Arnav is being painted VERY dark grey here ... a few thousand miles added onto that road to redemption ...
Nani now baulked of her prey, turns on Khushi ... rest was again painful as Nani, Anjali, Garima and Buaji all hound her ... Mami also gets into the act ... and Khushi can't say a word ... because what they're calling a marriage isn't even actually a marriage. Arnav tricked her, betrayed her .... told her to marry him, then gave her the symbols and the trappings of marriage and nothing else - to give her face in front of his family and the world ... but she knows in her heart that she and he are not married ... and yet will live together as man and wife ... a complete revulsion of all her principles and ideals.
And she can't say a word ... the sword of Payal's wedding will hang over her head always ...
Was Shyam angry because of her humiliation? Or because he realized that Arnav had won this round? The latter, I'm sure ... Shyam was equally willing to humiliate Khushi by implicating her in the necklace theft ..
The temple scene in Khushi's fb's ... again painful to watch as Khushi still begging Arnav silently to spare her, not do this ... tying the mangal sutra, putting sindoor, witnessed only by the havan fire and a silent Devi Maiya ... as though he's telling her, he's in charge of her destiny, not Devi Maiya ... but with Devi Maiya as her witness, she can't even repudiate their marriage.
"You believe in all this, don't you? Sindoor, mangal sutra ... here you are. We're married. But I will never acknowledge you my wife, never give you the respect of a wife. And six months later, I will set you free."
Destroy the girl. Who, just by being, just by existing, would have destroyed his sister's marriage. Through no fault of her own. She didn't ask Shyam to fall in love with her, to become psychopath in his pursuit, to attempt to kill not only his wife but her own father in that pursuit ...
Now it's a few LAKH more miles on that road ...
A repeat of the first Payal marriage break ... then too, Garima and Buaji were quick to break ties with Khushi ... has this happened with Khushi all her life ever since she was adopted? Every time there was a problem, was she always reminded of her adopted status? It happened during the forced engagement also ... Is that why she always tried her best to do everything she could for her family ... out of that ever-present fear that she never, ever truly belonged ... no matter how much she tried? Is that why she always hid her own tears, her pain ... and tried to be sunshine to them ... because they were never interested in her pain? Every time she went wrong, it was because she was not their own ... never because she was just a young girl making a mistake ...
Thank God for Shashi ... I think Buaji will be the first to soften ... she softened when she saw the father-daughter bond, and then fired again ... but there was genuine pain in her eyes as she saw the helplessly sobbing Khushi almost collapsing in her father's lap.
But it is always darkest before dawn ... Khushi is as down as she can be ... alone, completely alone, bereft of family, her supporters among her in-laws also lost, and the man she loves turned suddenly into a cruel unrecognizable stranger. She has nowhere to turn to except herself ... no one to rely on but her own strength ... and like a phoenix, she will rise again ... she has to.
Precap - if being married himself didn't stop Shyam, do you really think Khushi being married is going to stop him? Start using your brain, Arnav! Empty threats and picking on a defenceless girl are nowhere near enough to defeat the real enemy.
Abhas was found wanting today ... he didn't make an impressive villain.
Barun was okay ... hardly any screen space ... Arnav's unsympathetic character made it difficult for me to appreciate any acting. Although his smile through his tears in his room was strange ... we need an insight into his thoughts now, he hasn't conveyed them well enough.
Abha Parmar was good again ... Shashi was good, he conveyed his sympathy through his eyes. So did NK and Akash, they seem to be far less judgemental of Khushi than the older people ... I hope Akash is among the first to support Khushi, Nk is leaving and I feel really bad about that - Khushi needs all the friends she can get.
Sanaya was brilliant again ... I found myself urging her almost frantically ... talk!!! Say something!! Ask him why???!!! In the temple scene, she was simply brilliant as the dazed Khushi, the actual situation slowly sinking in, and her shame ... unable to say a word ... to anyone ... In the last scene as she runs after her parents and Buaji, frantically begging them to stay, not to disown her, to understand her ... to still love her ... because she has no one ...

ReplyDeleteFor me today the episode was truly a SP serial episode:-( The men disappointed...Not one of them uttered a word! Have some frigging spine Akash! Mamaji! even poor NRI NK! How can they just stand about and let the women handle this??
The women none of whom can begin to imagine what she did for both families tore her apart.
ASR this is one evening you're going to sorely regret...I hope at the end of 6 months Khushi walks out of his life and he has to move heaven and earth before she forgives him. He was supposed to be her knight in shining Armani or whatever and he ruined her life.
And for the time being Payal had better unconditionally stand by her sister even though Khushi obviously won't tell her 'why'...
Saving grace of the episode was babuji. At least held her hand as if to say I trust you, I know you wouldn't do something like this if you could help it.

DeletePayal could have said something yaar, baaki sab toh parayay hain and Payal has been at the receiving end of ASR too in her own way, wish she had said something.
More than just for Khushi's sake I want them to show Payal stand by her from the story's point of view. They've shown Arnav and Anjali's brother sister bond so strong and unbreakable. Every single act in this never ending night has been Arnav living up to all his brotherly promises of protecting his Di. Which is fine. But Khushi sacrificed her reputation, already tenuous acceptance in her family and her hopes so her jiji would not have to go through heartbreak. We can get annoyed with Anjali for being a tragedy queen but she loves her chotey just as much as he loves her. She played cupid beautifully when she saw a glimmer of hope for him, she basically blackmailed Khushi to work for them so La could be trained properly so Arnav could get what he wants and shielded Arnav as much as possible from nani. I want Payal in her own right to prove she was worth khushi's sacrifice. She may not have Khushi's strength and Anjali's power but she can still stand by Khushi in whatever small way. I want them to show their sister's bond as strong, especially since the fact that they are not real sisters and Payal is clearly the more loved daughter has been reiterated so many times by Buaji and even Garima.
DeleteAfter I got over the initial revulsion to Arnav's walking away, I finally understood why he did so. As far as he is concerned Khushi is in this with Shyam. Lets not forget that his brain cells stop functioning when he is angry and hurt and right now he is at the peak of both. So if he wants to punish her, he would do everything he has being doing so far. He has humiliated her by forcing her into a sham marriage to shut Shyam up. No pheras were taken. No priest solemnised the ceremony.Yes, he put the sindoor and mangalsutra but those were meaningless without the actual marital vows which he did not take. After that sham wedding he took her home and although initially he showed some empathy for what she is going through, he left her to face the music (maybe unable to bear what she will go through in the hands of both their families) because he wants her to be shunned by his family. After all she has won each one of them. He may feel that this too is one of her great acts of treachery. So by indirectly creating the situation where she will get ostracized by his family, he is trying to soften the blow on them when the truth of her 'affair' with Shyam may ultimately break out.
ReplyDeleteYes, I understand his actions but don't approve of them. The guy is sure to repent big time for every single action of his during one of the darkest days of his life. I think this day will soon replace that nightmare of his past.
I was not so much in favour of Khushi giving him a hard time but now I do wish she does not easily accept him. He has to work really hard to win back her trust.
@ Dia - he attributes this distress and agony to being separated from Shyam. The day he realizes Khushi loathes Shyam, may he wish to be swallowed by the earth...

And good point about him leaving cos he thinks she is with Shyam and you won over my family, now let me see what they think of you?Grr...
Hey Shwetha.....I think this is the reason, Cv's took this track.......remember LM had hinted for a separation, but we revolted against it, so they got em married but made it so painful that we request for a separation........

DeleteGargi, in terms of the men, truly it was an SP episode - they frigging stood around and did absolutely nothing! All the women had their say and their chance to attack poor Khushi - Nani, Anjali, Garima, Buaji ... all of them! I am still hopeful Payal and Akash will support Khushi - at least Payal who knows Khushi would do anything for her, should suspect that there was something very wrong for Khushi to do this.

I understand his actions too - I hate him for them as well. And I want Khushi to tell him when all this blows over that yes, I forgive you, but you broke not only my heart, but my trust as well ... and then LEAVE.
Let her forgiveness be his biggest curse ... and let him have to move heaven and earth to get her back. That line she said that day in the temple - when you realize Devi Maiyya is guiding your hand, I will not be there to see it ... let that come true and let him agonize and really tadpo for wanting her, at least as much as he is making her agonize for loving him and trusting him now. We HAVE to get a separation after this ... his repentance has to be EPIC to make up for what he did today.

Same goes for Khushi, today she is all alone, so she needs to start standing up for herself, BELIEVE SHE IS WORTH SOMETHING, yesterday we understood why she has had this insecurity, why she goes a thousand miles just to remain a part of the Gupta family, if the love from their side was unconditional, she wouldn't have had to prove her loyalty every time.
No man or for that matter any person will not respect you till you respect yourself.
So this is another lesson learnt for Khushi, unless she stands up for herself in front of her family, no one will. She has done everything that can be done for her family, now is the time for doing something good for her own self. *okay this was not that cheesy, slightly better if I say so myself*

He has never been so alone in his life as she has ... he has no idea of her pain, just because she hides it behind smiles, he has never seen the true depth ... he NEEDS to see it, and feel every last shard of agony. Then only will his repentance be adequate.
I absolutely agree with Anonymous. I maintain Arnav is also a victim and I know in the long run i'll probably feel as bad for him as I do Khushi, maybe worse. I understand the reason for him walking away but like you said it still DOESN'T MAKE IT OK. He walked off!!

I want Khushi to walk out of RM in 6 months. I want Payal to sunao Arnav(only other person apart from Khushi who actually managed it till now and clearly the women speak and men are just there to utilise oxygen)- tell him everything. I don't want Khushi to try and explain herself to him anymore. Anyway he wont believe her and its beneath her to explain herself to any of them.
Let it be Payal who defends her sister and prove that their 'not real sister bond' is as strong as Arnav and Anjali's. And then let him move mountains and fix everything.

ReplyDeletettoal tear jerker - set teh stage for how lonely khushi has become in the whole wide world. but then from this when she rises back (her rise from the ashes) we will applaud her all the more.
G family toally in character. they have always been quick to blame khushi and remind her that she always messes up. if fri's flashback was a repeat of arnav khushi and the lucknow fashion show. the G family's reactions today were exactly the same as they were back then. buaji taunted her as an orphan and her mother told her not to call her a mum. only babuji stood by her then. the family only came around when the neighbours appreciated her stand. soon after she had a repart face off with arnav at the dargah and then the video fiasco happened and shyam entered the scene.
this time too will her next encounter with arnav cause her to spit fire and fight him. how will he display his anger this time? and who will be her knight this time round.
@ Dia I told you earlier that Arnav will offer a live-in. I guess due to sudience sensibility they showed him offering marriage but it is very borderline live-in.
But one point that struck me is he says these symbols are important to you. And he gives them to her so that publicly she will be his wife that too in a temple. Why bother when all you want is to give her the symbols. Just give it to her in the SUV. Is it bcos somewhere deep down (like 80000 leagues below) he feels that a committment she makes in front of DM will make Khushi honour the relationship. bcos once upon a time she told him these things matter to her and a relationship without them will be insulting?
A defining moment today - yeah Arnav was all teary - not sure if it was cos fo buaji's early rants at Khushi or bcos he could not answer his sis. But when he stepped away to the stairs, he looked at Shyam with nary a remorse or tear. Just that victorious smile in his eyse that said so lets see you get past this one. Very similar to the power rise up the stairs after he convinced mami - 2 birds of aflock who only understand power and authority.
Coming to R family assaulting Khushi I guess it was the very deep diappointment cos they really always trusted her to do the right thing. Nani has seen Khushi giving it back to Arnav after that guest house incident. Reconciling that with this docile and mute seeming Khushi would have been a very bitter pill. They do not know she was forced. She gave Arnav her word that she will do anything he says but how can she, a girl of self respect accept that she accepted a 6 month contract marriage to these people. Yeah! I though it was a bit rich coming from Anjali given that she could not pound on the door and ask her chotey. at least nani gave him some lip before he escaped.
Am sure Dia just added a few thousand Miles on teh road to redemption for you Arnav. He might as well have just dragged her and gone a part of me says. But yeah fellow just wanted to make sure jijaji dear now has an insurmountable appearing problem. Its always Profit and Loss so all the emotions can take a hike.
But what he does not realize in his momentary anger is that he has backed Khushi into a corner where she no longer has anything to lose and when you have nothing to lose, you cannot be scared. She will just go ahead and ram him as she has nothing to lose at this point in time.
Akash will just hold Payaliya's hand and NK is a teenager man - these emotions are way beyond him. Hope there is a scene where Shyam tries to somfort Khushi and she gives him back saying I am now Arnav's wife and we will sort our issues between us and not wash it in public like you tried to do.
Precap looked promising - how smug did Arnav look when he said "Stay away from MY WIFE". But we will still have glycerine filled scenes of pooja ki thali going by the spoiler pics.

Why didn't have the guts to question Arnav the same way. You know when Shyam's truth is out and if it has to come again this dramatic way, Shyam will put all the blame on Khushi, IF THAT HAPPENS,
ARNAV BITWA better DEFEND HER left right and centre. If he fails then the Danda will be out for sure. I am FURIOUS with him for leaving her like that, he should have dragged her with him too.
The only reason I am giving him a bit of leeway here is he has had to handle too much, doesn't justify a damn thing he has done...we know of all the ppl who stood watching there, apart from Babuji, he is the only person who will love her the way she deserves to be loved.

DeleteI think both families were in character ... Guptas, especially the ladies have always been quick to hold Khushi's adopted status up as ransom for every mistake, be it Payal's first marriage or the Shyam engagement - and they did the same thing again.
Nani and Anjali were just taking out their disappointment on the first available target - they gave Khushi so much love and respect, treated her always as their own, and she has, according to them, let them down badly ...
Mami was being Mami ... never let go an opportunity to humiliate and insult.
And yes - why did he bother with taking her to the temple? Because he knew SHE would respect the sanctity of that? If so, wouldn't she respect the sanctity of his sister's marriage too? Or is that why he thinks she hasn't run away with Shyam yet - because he still hasn't freed himself of Anjali? In which case, add another googly - even if Shyam frees himself from Anjali, Khushi is now tied - if she respected Anjali's marriage enough to not take a married Shyam, she will respect her own marriage even more ...
but in which case, Arnav bitwa, would she even bother to look at a married man anyway? Can you start using that famous brain of yours and start seeing that things don't quite add up here?!

ReplyDeleteI agree with you totally on: "it is the love that turned suddenly and corrosively into hatred overnight when you felt she had let you down" remember he told shyam that he will destroy them both. also he underwent agony when shyam described khsuhi becoming his pagalpan, his junoon and what not. All this is revenge from her for breaking his love and having the guts to go and love someone else (in his eyes). I sincerely hope that NK makes some damning comment to Arnav before he leaves. He is the only one who has been asking Arnav qs on what happened to khushi when the 2 were together. Le teh infatuated puppy show the might lion that though you may roar, i am more perceptive of the ones I like...

I have high hopes for that camcorder...But I feel it'll come out later and it'll be the thing that proves Shyaam's murder attempts. NK will have unwittingly recorded one of Shyaam's revolting soliloquies about his amzing scorpion or car brakes plan. Well we can hope.
DeleteYep, it is me, Opti from IF. I guess this was the much awaited twist on Indian T.V. No pheres, no priest, no witnesses and yet it is supposed to be a contract marriage (without a contract, either religious or legal). If only Shyam had witnessed this 21st century wedding he would have torn Arnav's claim that Khushi is his wife in any court of law and may be even slap a jail term on him for holding a young innocent virgin against her will in RM and letting her fend for herself be subjected to verbal abuse from both their families.

4.I want them to show some scenes (few weeks down the line) where Arnav is unable to resist doing some small things for Khushi (like the silver coins) anonymously because even though he hates her he can’t help it. And usse farak padta hai that his nani, Di, and mami are treating her like a pariah only he can treat her horribly after all.
5.When NK exits I want him to say some nice words to Khushi, cheer her up a little let her correct his Hindi on purpose, give her a tiny hug or a wink...he’s been amazing. He’s always stood by his Desi girl and thought the best of her. As HAA said he’s a teenager –lol...he may not have the emotional range to deal with the upcoming storm but let him leave her with the feeling that not every Raizada hates her.
For later..
6.Anjali growing the hell up- being the one to kick Shyaam out of the house even though she’s had his kid. Not just crying or cowering behind Arnav. Because after all this is over it’s really her battle. Her character need to be the one to handle it.
7.Khushi walking out of RM and Arnav's life -all flowing hair- beautiful sari and her words about Devi Maiyya guiding his hand and her not being there when he realises it echoing again and again as she leaves him.
8.However many episodes/months later I want ASR and Khushi to get married in the same mandir. With everyone watching, a priest performing the rituals, proper kanyadaan, sindoor, mangalsutra and all the works...and ASR in a SHERWANI because Khushi asked him to wear it just once.

ReplyDeleteTruly heart-wrenching and heart-breaking episode. But the optimist in me is still hopeful that all this drama will turn things around for Khushi and she will truly rise from the ashes.
My very near-term wish is for Anjali and Nani accepting Khushi as Arnav's wife and welcoming her into the family. I cannot wait for this to happen until the misunderstanding is cleared. No, that's way too late for me. We know when Arnav wil come around and I'm willing to wait for that, but this little girl needs some kind of family support to just go on. Her family has deserted her , but when did we expect anything different from them? Shashi Babu's reaction was the saving grace for me, at least the CVs are keeping the characters intact.
Khushi will come out of this experience as a much stronger and mature girl (that's my hope). She deserves the best and DM will give her the best in the form of Arnav some day.

I just also had another thought - on bhai dooj, Anjali makes this statement saying we need to be careful what we tell people cos we never know when is the last time we will see them. And then when they go away we realize how wrong we were. She said this to Arnav so along with the devi maiyya khushi dialog let this haunt him.
In the wedding scene, when her duppatta flew and he caught it for a moment there I thought, was this the gatbandhan equivalent? - baaki sab toh symbolically ho gaya hai na?
And what gives me hope - well Arnav bitwa on NYE said, I don't want to see you face at the stroke of midnight and we all know what happened? Today he says I will not consider you my wife nor accord you that status - yeah rite dude! Oh and btw hope Khushi throws your duniya is very bereham and pattahr dil dialogue back at you for what you did to her.
I am rooting for both today but this guy is simply digging his grane and when he falls, boy its gonna be ugly...:(

I am all for bro-sis love but enough is enough. When will Khushi become all-important for Arnav? If his extreme measure in proposing a contract marriage / live-in is all out of love for Khushi , I'll accept it . But the CVs should show Arnav's thought process to us. He needs to acknowledge to himself that he's done this because he loves Khushi.

I think once Nani and Anjali come around Khushi will regain a little of her fight. Its hard enough leaving your home to go to a brand new house and learn to be a part of another family. But when your own family disowns you, your in-laws lose respect for you and your husband loathes you any girl would break down. In fact I think khushi is the only one who can even take this much. Both Payal and Anjali are nowhere near as strong as she is. Right now she's going to have to do this on her own. But she'll have her vindication...though she's such a good person she'll forgive everyone in a heartbeat (Though she WILL leave him.)
and yeah please let this day end. I mean it started on 6th February and from the looks of it will definitely continue till tomorrow 21st Feb (12 days....!!!!!). But on 22nd Feb, I want to see the morning after. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
ReplyDeleteIt is getting very very difficult to realize that all the love, misunderstanding, alomost proposal, jija saal war, arnav khushi bullying proposal, the heartbreaking wedding for a girl who believes in it all, the disowning by family, getting manhandled, di getting pregnant, di fainting, and what not all happened in a day within a span of 5/6 hours.
f course this was also the day that gave us the 1st sdmiling rabba va, a walk to remember, pattal, asr the waiter, asr the tear wiper and the playboy who gives khushi goosebumps by playing with her bindi....*DREAMLAND*

ReplyDeleteHe has become all stone hearted and from his point of view, he is punishing a two timing girl....he is pushing her by his rules...but alas he is not hearing his dil...going by dimag which never works in anger and frustration mode...
Whatever he has done...has left her damaged enough and I hope she manages to bounces back off this. I feel...when tables turn, and truth is in front of Arnav, Khushi might not be there at all..yeah right..but he might find a girl instead ...a breathing body...who was dragged...tied mangalsutra...put some sindhoor..insulted the institution of marriage...and was forced to stay...blackmailed to do what he needed...I strongly believe Khushi will lose her all essence...and boy oh boy..as I wrote earlier...anticipation of pain is more harder than actually going through it...knowing the fact that Arnav is so bloody gonna repent it...every minute of it...makes it much much harder.
From her point of view..her family came first and rest all later..just like how Barun said in one of those SBB/SBS episodes, for her.."Arnav ASR ban gaya, blackmail kiya, ek ajeeb sa shadi hogaya, pati bola patni ka darja nahi dega, Che(6) mahine ne ke baad chod dega, pati mujhe akele chod gaya, mera parivar mujhe chod gaya, RM ke gharwalon ke samane neeche girgayi, mujhe khudh pata nahi ye sab kyon ho raha hai". The way she hides her face after he applied sindhoor and the way he says "ye sab tumhare liye bahut mayane rakhate hai na, tho ye raha mangalsutra aur ye raha sindhoor..." was really really heart wrenching yaar... felt lump in my throat and pain in my heart.
Well, we all knew that from the moment she hid about Shyam from every one, that is gonna haunt her back...but the way it's been presented, it more pain full to watch...Yup tells me that actors and CVs have done stupendofantabulouslyfantastic job.
But I am also hopelessly addicted to Arhi and hopelessly romantic and want to see those SPA sort of scenes soon in the show soon..
By the way, I am still chanting my improvised mantra

ReplyDeleteI went and saw the epi again (how despo) in HD quality some more coz I wanted to check out barun's emotions at the start and then after the wedding scenes and I realized - Dis Arnav cry when buaji mentioned how khushi had let doen all teh maan they had on her albeit for a different reason in his case? After the wedding completed, did her tears and broken look hurt him a wee bit, did his eyes moisten and di that frown lessen a bit?
And after seeing the precap for the nth time - how sexy is the way he says jeejaji ;) and when he says she is my wife so lay off - is it just a game or does he mean it somewhere?
A connected thought here - is a confrontation b/w arnav and khushi going to be shown in flashback? they showed the proposal and fri we thought done then today kaboom they showed wedding - coz that may explain why khushi kept mute throughout (or i would like to think so disregarding this a SP soap).
have a bad feeling payal is also gonna tell khushi u promised to think of me always and today u have gone ahead and done smthng w/o thinking of me.

Tit for Tat is teh name of the game - cos that scene reminded me of all the times last week arnav flinched when anjali hugged shyam how he burnt when shyam told him he cares naught for anjali. today shyam stood there listening to teh whol family deride khushi - see her cry and not be able to do a thing about it. that pic tells me he will see arnav hugging / touching khushi and burn..
wonder how the other 2 scenes where khushi seems contemplative with her mangalsutra in hand, arnav on his recliner and arnav gazing at something with tears (posted fri)perhaps at poolside will pan out. how will he find out that khushi's family has abandoned her? will this incident change the anjali arnav (we tell each other everyting) dynamics?

You know what, that was honestly heartbreaking, she did it all for them, she has always done everything for them, hell, she even got engaged to the scorpion when she knew she loved somebody else just so that buaji didn't get embarrassed by the neighbours comments, and in return, she doesn't even get acknowledged but rather critisized by every member of those families (female) yeah they say they believed in her, what belief I ask, can be so strong yet so easily breakable? They saw that she was crying, did she look happy? And Anjali, closest to her bro couldn't demand anything from him but instead bullied the girl who was already broken, who's idea do you think it is? The girl who 'taught you the meaning of sindoor' or the guy who doesn't believe in marraige? I personally cannot wait until the day arnav finds out and I hope that when he does, his khushi, who was happy is like him, damaged to the greatest extent. Btw, on a closer note, hope Arnav hears buaji saying that khushi isn't theirs, hope he sees her breakdown and feel it, more than she does, the reason He left? I'm inclined to believe that our clever asr just realized the enormity of the consequences of his decision and ran away, a parallel to the 'i'm getting engaged' thing, hates himself for loving khushi, hates her for affecting him. Though, didn't they say Arnav and khushi would work together to beat shyam? In which case confrontation coming soon :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know which it will be, Opti, but I just hope Arnav realizes at some point HOW much he has hurt Khushi ... and their shared pain, the loss of their parents hits him again ... he helped her when her Babuji was sick, and now he has divested her of her family, which means everything to her.

I think babuji is going to die in the ME on 17th march. They cant show him get better because the truth would be wrapped up in a jiffy, babuji would have Shyaam locked up. So he cant get better, so from the actors perspective also kind of a dead end role. Anyway that actor has other commitments and it would tie in things nicely...Arnav would try and support Khushi a little through something like that no matter how he feels about her treachery; bringing them closer(TRP charts happy)and also hopefully before dying babuji'll have some lucid moments where he can speak and manage to convey what a psychopath Shyaam is...probably to Khushi...and perhaps we'll see both Khushi and Arnav fighting Shyaam separately still but at least Khushi will regain her fighting spirit...

And then there is no way these two will leave each other - ever.

Love how even after an episode like yday where it was glycerin buckets we have managed to talk some much about it :)
The more I think on things the more everyone seems to have been in character. of course teh teras are getting to me now. dont want people to flash 100W smiles but stopping the floods will do for now.
For Arnav it is all about Shyam now. Looking forward to Khushi asking him Why soon. Or will CVs be cruel to us and leave it for the morning after whenever that is given this day never ends.

Which means that the first spoiler is prob true - Anjali made them take the pheras again. Good, good, that means they got married twice, first sanctified by Devi Maiya in their usual private "hum Do Hamari Devi Maiya" kind of way, and now with the family.

Because everyone has changed their clothes, except for Khushi, at the start of the SBS segment - check the second one - seems like next day Nani locks herself into her room, Anjali talks Arnav into doing the pheras again - presumably - they only showed Khushi doing grihapravesh, but I'm sure Nani/Anjali will insist on full ceremony in front of everyone - and I will be very happy with that.
Aman is busy getting everything ready for boss's second wedding ... poor guy had a rough day - first organize one legit wedding, one khufiya wedding ... now convert khufiya into legit ... his brain must be going in circles!
Arnav used Payash's malas, yaar ... didn't you see when he entered RM, no malas, magically they appeared on the way in ... he must have grabbed them en route from the wedding mandap. :)

DeleteI'm going to say something which probably isn't going to be liked but I think its how it'll go. We are not going to see ASR stand up for Khushi. At all. She betrayed him. Deceived him. Had an affair with HIS sisters HUSBAND. Be it shades of Grey or charcoal or black that's what ASR thinks right now. And the way the cv's have written it no one's going to open their mouths and communicate for a while. So we're going to have to accept that ASR, who is the only one who can defend her, is going to stand by and watch if not further instigate all the hatred and angst coming her way.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter whether he's using dil or dimaag. Right now Khushi and ASR's equation will remain revulsion and hatred by him and total mistrust and probably hatred from her side too. Redemption is going to come much later once the whole Shyaam saga is sorted out.
I'm sure they'll show awkward- in front of the family must be a couple- rabba ve scenes so that TRP's don't tank, but its going to take time for anymore genuine moments like we had throughout January. Sigh.
As for the Shyaam confrontation...two thoughts...Firstly I hope Shyaam slips up, assumes that since khushi agreed for a shotgun wedding she and Arnav have spoken and talks to ASR as though he knows Khushi is on ASR's side but that he, Shyaam will win her over.(unlikely...as even if it happens doubt ASR will pick up on it).
Secondly ASR addresses Shyaam and Shyaam alone. I know Arnav believes that Khushi is in cahoots with Shyaam but I hope that in the confrontation when he speaks to Shyaam its not eveident to Shyaam that they havent spoken. Because Shyaam will just manipulate things further if he figures out Khushi and Arnav are in the dark and frankly Khushi has enough problems to be getting on with.
Garg, I agree with this ... for the moment, Arnav is not going to support Khushi at all, except to act possessive about her in front of Shyam, and that too, not in a loving way, but more as a "she's mine, dare you touch her, I got her away from you," kind of thing.

I wonder how Shyam's truth will come out. I can think of two scenarios - one, Terrace again, Shyam's nemesis - he corners Khushi there again, Arnav overhears again, and this time hears the entire conversation ... bam - remore time!!!
Or two - the camcorder, entrusted to Arnav by NK as he leaves - if La did some good as she was leaving, let NK do another bit of good, and light up Arnav's brain.
But the tagline also was - Will Khushi come to know why Arnav married her ... so that could be a third ... that she finds out, and SHE sets up Shyam ... because Arnav's brain has taken long leave without pay.
I hope NK leaves the camcorder with Anjali...after all she is the one who cares about wedings and rasams and would probably want to see the wedding video.In light of recent events she'll probably forget about it.

hi, i feel like i am intruding between friends but i really cant stop myself, loved the serial till now but now i love this blog as well - kind of understand how complete strangers can connect through the net. (after all a writer who is a Georgette Heyer fan!! - my younger colleagues don't even know who she is so how can they understand why i have read her novels to ragged shreds :D)

1)i agree with all of you - Arnav is at fault and all that BUT - lets not forget, he thinks Khushi is in on it - i completely understand (not support) his fake marriage - its his nature to not believe in marriage so if he had done an actual marriage, it would have been against character.
2) don't think he smiled through his tears - felt more like a man in pain
3) he is ruining her, yes - but only she will know of it, what i mean is that he loves her and hence will not ruin her in the eyes of the world - yes the family is in shock but to them she is married! so in actual terms she is a married woman so there is no question of anything 'illegal'!
4) why does she not ask "why????" he was so sweet to her just a couple of hours ago, (two weeks ago!!) so why the change - why will she not ask him why? this is not in sync with her character at all
5) all the other men are spineless - just like all SP serials
6) Payal and Akash should be the ones by Khushi's side - she stood by them!
7) Finally i don't want her to leave in six months - it will be just like all the other serials then - this needs to be different, they need to sort this out asap - he needs to beg, BEG for forgiveness but that needs to be done asap!!

Yep, Arnav is not completely at fault - he thinks she betrayed him, she is in with Shyam and he did vow to destroy her and Shyam.
And also yes, he doesn't believe in marriage - so he gives Khushi the external trappings of marriage ... and thus shows the world that they are married ... but she knows and he knows that they are not.
Though SBS spoiler alert - apparently preparing for ArHi SR - which means Anjali does insist on getting them married again, so they have had two weddings - and the one in the temple was the usual private Devi Maiya ceremony ... Devi Maiya is quite a possessive maiya, I must say - she insists Khushi does everything in front of her first, only after that the duniya can come in!
Yes, even I am waiting for Khushi to ask WHY??? This long silence is not like her at all!!!
I wonder if they will even reach the six month barrier - I think lots of things will happen way before that. But I DO want a separation - after everything is sorted out, she needs to walk out ... just for once, not be the ever-forgiving Khushi ...
I'm feeling so happy a proper marriage. Chalo Anjali kuch kaam ki nikli...and Shyaam doing kanydan would be cherry on top of a very bizarre evening. LOL...
DeleteThough if the pheras and SR stuff is true I doubt they'll show separation. They'll probably show him manaofy Khushi whenever he finds out whole truth and the others never coming to know and her being the accepted agyakari bahu not wanting anyone to come to know either.
Though I really hope that doesn't happen I really want her to walk out of his life(looking gorgeous, honour reinstated, accpeted in her own home) at least once and stay out until he begs her to come back.
You know how the separation will happen, she will walk in the third part of the friday episode.

ReplyDeleteYou know the way things are going..Iss Pyaar seems to be all about sibling love especially love for sisters. Anjali and Arnav are upset with each other cos of his marriage. They talk of changing shades of Payal and Khusi's relationship (btw I think Payal's aatma has taken temporary vaas in Swetha today who is big time into laundry and detergents today :D :D )
Hope Nani locks herself in and gives gyaan to Arnav bitwa on how he seems to be repeating his dad's mistakes - recall a scene like this one when Arnav wanted to have a liv-in with La and nani was mahaa upset. Maybe she refuses to acknowledge the marriage unless he does it with family;s blessings - if she does then yay!! (also all that banging - I think that is what Arnav reacted to with surprise when he walks into the house)
But ladies, this seems to be glycerin week till the end. Hoping they paste loads of spoiler pics on fb soon :)

Shit, I'm prepared for one more day then I want some fire back ... let her blast him, and then go into silent, cold mode - Arnav hates it when she doesn't talk to him ... let her ignore him big time, continue with her duties and warn Arnav to stay away from her ... and tell him she will fulfill her part of the bargain and stay for exactly six months and not a day longer. And then let him work his butt off to get her back. Emotional separation if not a physical one ... I agree with Gargi, that quiet controlled fury of Sanaya's is most effective ... and that will be the maturing of Khushi too.

As for glycerin week - we still have pooja ki thaali crying from spolier pics, khushi crying from yday's sbs and even today's SR SBS made khushi look very emotional - so keeping my hopes low for sanity to return. Plus with Sanaya's voice on the blink what is the probability for a dhamaka argument scene :S
You know I always wanted nani to root for khushi when teh shyam incident blew out among the family. She is the matriarch and she has always been fair and loved khushi to bits too. Her reaction yday I put it down to seeing her "pet" demeaned in this manner. Someone whom she always pointed as a role model reduced to such position of shame. So YAY if she insists on a re-marriage with family present. Also she is the link to the past.
Nope, what I meant was, Arnav's dad has extra-marital affair with Khushi's mom ... and she had to get married to Khushi's dad later, or maybe it was extra marital for her as well ... after Khushi was born - very much the natural child of her parents, no blood relation to Arnav at all.
DeleteOr another thought - Khushi's mom and Arnav's dad were in love, his parents objected because of her choti aukat, so she was married off to Khushi's dad, leaving Arnav's dad all bitter about lower aukad girls being double crossers.
I read an interview of Mami's in which she said, Manorama had come as a maid to look after Mama's first wife when she was sick, that lady died, and Mami wiggled her way into Mama's heart ... that's why Nani never liked her. And maybe Dhruv - if he exists - is the first son of Mama - that would make sense since Mami would obviously not want him around.
Yep, I always thought Nani would root for Nani and after this SBS/SBB, I think she will be the first to come round. She has always been strict but fair, and she has a lot of affection for Khushi. SO she and then Anjali will come around in that order - Mama and Akash will continue the Search for the Spine, and Payal will take back Shwetha's laundry load.
Actually, I don't know why, I still have some hope from Payal - at worst she will be silent support to Khushi for sure, even though completely ineffective - at best, she might even square off with Arnav - she has done it before.
HAA: I Know right, is it Laundry Day or something, In Greeting Cards walon ka koi bharosa nahin hai, someday we will be simply celebrating Ordinary Day. Besides Payal minus Laundry kuch baat nahin bani, lol.

She fought back at last asking that much awaited, WHY?!!! how I wished it was Sanaya's voice thou :( shit, I hope she gets well soon and gets back her voice too man, the scene was not having full impact with someone else voice! Nevertheless, Sanaya ROCKED! Khushi fought althou failed at the end! But still tried her best! Pushed him 2 times..wow way to go girl! You are the best! And I loved ASR-Shyam face off - 'Jijaji, Khushi meri patni hai aur abb uske ass pas katam rakhne ki koshish bhi mat karna'..wow what a line! and the precap it conveyed something interesting..looking forward for tomorrow! :)
