Garima is apprehensive at the sudden change of heart, the volte face ...
Khushi is apprehensive too ... so much happiness in one day? Surely something will go wrong soon ...

This is what an episode should be like ... drama and entertainment, and leave you with a smile at the end. Dadi's games will play out on the wedding day, but till then the atmosphere will be light and happy ...
Garima's acting was much better today ... liked the way the two women kept their voices low for the most part, realising that the family was in the house, especially Garima. And liked her expressions as Dadi gave the kangan to Khushi ... can't believe, dare I believe this, no, it's too good to be true, something is wrong somewhere.
But did Garima really mean to tell Khushi the entire story right there in the hall? Oh lord!!!
Shyam's face ... such a pleasure to see his plan flop ... I know it's only temporary, but it was worth it to see his face! And will be even better if crafty Dadi keeps him out of the loop till the wedding, letting him think she will let the wedding go on ... his frustration will be worth watching.
Nice to see the family scenes ... this is what I have been saying for ages ... we need normal family conversation as fillers, not full on drama the whole time. Loved the realistic touch of the family waiting for Arnav Khushi and having their own fun in the mean time ...
And best of all, today Sanaya was back to being totally in character ... totally Khushi ... both in the garden, and then that last apprehensive talk with Arnav, ending with the small jibe before running away, leaving him with a smile ... as usual :)

I liked the episode today better than yesterday, because Khushi was much more in synch ... the garden scene for me on Monday was spoiled by Sanaya's random reactions and poor voice modulation. Barun was spot on, but Arhi scenes work only if both are in synch ... Sanaya had obviously shot her parts separately, and she was totally off ... this is a very rare occurrence for Sanaya, rare enough for it to spoil the scene. So today's Arhi scene, short though it was, worked much better for me.
Dadi's volte face ... the best part of this was watching VLR's reaction ... his frustration, his helpless rage :)) ... Creepwa has been getting away with too much lately, his first failure was a delight to watch
I know it's shortlived, he will be up to his plans again soon, but for the moment, it was fun! And even more fun was watching him skulking around behind doors and windows like the thief he is, and reduced to acting Dadi's messenger boy When he came to give her the message that Arnav was back, I felt like laughing ... HP ban gaya!!! =))
Again Dadi's volte face ... forgetting Dadi's rigidity and hypocrisy for a moment ... Dadi is a woman who has lost her son ... under very tragic circumstances. She might outwardly blame her DIL, the other woman, but deep in her heart, she is bound to realise that her son's misdeeds played a big part in the chain of events. She came back into RM brainwashed by Shyam, in order to stop her granddaughter's life being ruined by the other woman ... now she has seen that the 'other woman' only has eyes for her grandson and vice versa, grandson is replica of his dad when it comes to not listening to reason when madly in love ... and she sees that 'other woman's' mother is the 'other woman' in her son's life.
Dadi has never gotten over the bitterness of the past. She can't punish her DIL for taking her life, which snatched her son away from her, but now she gets a chance to punish the other woman. And her first priority switched from stopping the Arhi marriage, to punishing Garima - if Khushi gets devastated as well, it's a bonus.
If she tells Arnav straight away (as was her first reaction), Arnav gets angry for sure ... but he gets time to think over it, he always blamed his Dad and not the other woman ... he will marry Khushi anyway.
But Dadi also knows Arnav's first reaction is anger, and when he's angry, he stops thinking ... she knows this because she is the same ... her first angry reaction was to tell Arnav, then she stopped to think and make a better plan ...
So she postpones the announcement to the wedding day, and makes a show of accepting Khushi.
On the wedding day, she will tell Arnav.
Either Arnav will blast off and in a fit of anger, he will stop the wedding, before he can calm down and think things through ... Result - Khushi ruined, Garima devastated. Mission accomplished. And as she knows, and Garima also says, Khushi can't live without Arnav ... maybe Khushi will even take the same step as her DIL did so many years ago. Without Dadi lifting a finger. Truly Mission accomplished.
OR ... and this possibility cannot be discounted ... Dadi knows that Arnav is as deeply in love with Khushi as she is with him. He will insist on marrying Khushi ... BUT he will insist that Khushi then have nothing to do with her adopted mother. Garima will be cut off from her daughters, she will lose them ... just the way Dadi lost her son. Fitting revenge indeed ... I would expect Dadi to think of this first ... because Dadi is a mother too ... a mother's revenge would be far more bitter and deeper than a grandmother's.
And (although this thought has not struck Dadi's brain yet) a married Khushi is far less threat to Anjali's marriage than an unmarried one.
And if Khushi does indeed take her own life out of despair, then again Garima loses her child ... just the way Dadi lost hers.
Again, I liked the last scene ... Khushi is obviously far more worried about Dadi's sudden change of heart than Arnav is ... Arnav accepts it at face value. *Sigh* Arnav, when will you start THINKING???!!!
But it left me with a smile on my face ... continued with the precap - hopefully the rest of the wedding celebrations will happen in a truly festive atmosphere ... till the wedding dhamaka hits.

Sam, kya scene yaad dila diya....even now i remember that look on Arnav throughout the "plan my engagement" track or Farag nahin padta track....it was classic...his eyes on her all the time, antenna to pick up every nuance....those were some days yaar in IPK.....even tho i remember we hated Arnav for being so mean....yet the anti-hero made quite an impression....the day when she comes back to tell Arnav not to be mean to La....and Arnav's hurting words....god!! IPK magic sar chadkar bolta tha.....I still remember Dia's post on that day....chap gaya mere dimag mein...

DeleteIPK worked cos it was joint effort. LM's forte has been family scene all those ritual scenes which were really good, although remember he did direct the Matrix faint one, so...
Anyhow look at his fb status now, it says people met with him love and respect...why did he have to use the word respect, as if to stamp his authority..couldnt he have simply said affection..and all those Should I join IPK..Kyon bhai you did not ask them while quitting toh why now.
He smartly quit when he realized barun was going for the movie right after feb and now when all the actors are back, we know that IPK team is working furiously to avoid getting shut down (read in IF that it has been extended till december 2013??), we know quality is going to be up.
He will waltz in taking all the credit when Arshad single handedly managed barun's absence and all those hara kiri in the script as much as he could.
Also LM didn't have any loyalty towards IPK then when he dumped it and he did not have any loyalty towards phir subah hogi the show he was directing...and if he was that great why could not he recreat arhi magic there when the actors are quite good.
face it Arnav and khushi are one of a kind, the kind of fame and adulation you recieve if you are a part of ipk, he did not get it there nor was he able to excel there.
the guy can atleast be humble about it right.

Exactly Shwetha ... LM never did anything alone ... Arshad was always there and beginning of any well thought serial is good ... Good characters ... PH only concentrating in IPK ... everything was good and story was at its simplicity. Feb took a turn to a more complex level. LM left exactly at that point. Yes Arshad did falter at various points but it wasn't completely his fault. People talk as if IPK had no fault before Feb.

hey Shwetha, we (me and my colleague) have a different take towards LM....we call him 4lions ka matt (matt is an artist with our company, who is the pro of all, he starts all the project, takes it to a level and then hands it over to the respective group) so same way LM started with IPK then 4 lions moved him to their other projects, namelu suvreen guggal and then phir subah hogi....now that the trp's arent taking up after trying everything so they got LM back....

Smart move - Getting Arnav to decide moments before he is to get married.
I THINK marriage WILL HAPPEN.
One hand is his mother and on the other hand is Khushi - the girl who almost lost her life trying to save him, who has been through hell and back for him..just for him.
Tough choice Arnav bitwa..
Logicwa says the PH cannot afford another round of marriage expenses also TRP says you can't separate the two.
So he will go ahead with the marriage, Khushi and probably everyone will realize something is wrong, there is going to be emotional distance..ban on SR...Khushi will find out eventually and confrontation and then she will walk out.
Arnav will then confront Garima and will have the full version of the truth and will bring her back.
Question is while all this happens, what will snakewa do? Continue to drool on good loooking older women?
Promo looks good and Arnav still in the teri meri jacket? Kyon bhai no one got him a sherwani yet? rest everyone looked fab.
I did notice the BD today...and thought somehow maybe since they shot separately most scenes sarun were a bit off. NP...They have to be in full form in the coming days.

I remember someone saying either here or on the forum that if arnav could forgive khushi for ruining his sister's marriage, he will obviously forgive garima too.. but the huge difference is that khushi never loved shyam while garima was clearly in love with AD..
and...if AD is supposed to be a past version of shyam..but a weaker version that him...weak enough to commit suicide instead of taking care of his children...then I wonder where Arnav gets all this strength from..
OK..CVs should have better thought of this..this is the original story so technically they should have spent months on this script..
P.S. WHY is DB shooting scenes separately?? I guess even she has clearly understood the fact that she was not able to hold together the TRPs by her DKS track, so is now back to being her sweet old self.. but I will never be able to like her again, I guess.. CVs have totally ruined her for me..

DeleteI hope this track is not about laying blame...becos one i am certain about...there is no way that anyone can have closure in that fashion....If the track is poised to show AD and G involved, there are going to be questions on Ad an Ratna equally for their rash actions as much on G's alleged role
IMO, a 14 year old shouldn't be burdened about not being able to protect his mother..in a real story, i would say Arnav needed prof counseling the most...walks in to hear an argument and sees his mom angry, upset and the next thing he knows she has died and the very next instant, his father is dead....thats a clear case of trauma....he needed someone to help him process what he had happened to him....his sister.
In real life or reel life, experiences make u see past, present in a certain way....Arnav has now known Khushi would do nothing ever to hurt him...he is not going to hate Khushi in any way,ever...no way is this her fault...but as human, he can dwell on the mockery of fate and if does not believe in that, the cruel co-incidence of making his beloved the daughter of the woman he has grown to hate for a major part of his life....
I don't know how poignantly they will describe Arnav's emotions but even just knowing this breaks my heart...
Speaking of TRP's ... the first ads break today came after five minutes ... which means TRP's are probably up this week. :) Last few weeks, the first break has been 10-12 minutes into the show.

As per the story presented, to me she is a person who tried to move away on knowing that her lover was attached in a relationship...based on this, i don't feel ok to condemn her actions of the past....what she does with that knowledge today is quite another matter...Ideally she should tell Khushi (i know she wont in the story)

but thing is still confusing...initially when Dadi entered IPK land....why was her expression different for the other woman and for Garima's name......did they re-think the track between then and now ??

If they did it would be almost a 360 repeat of the first hate marriage - ASR hurting inside, Khushi has no clue what went wrong, trying to get him out of his shell (peetal bartan) with her antics and he withdrawing further, going to Gupta house, ASR being ASR this time..maybe the explosive revelation coming when Khushi say " ab to Amma kehke bulaiye" / a la the road confrontation and then Khushi withdrawing from his life like she did earlier..another high power drama like kidnap to shake sense into him and make him realise he cannot shut Khushi out...
6 mahine aiur nikal jayenge :) To me better than an Ekta style pregnant Khushi walking off etc.
But the audience will not have the patience to wait - 360 ki bhi had hoti hai - kitne sequences repeat karoge...lets see if LM can come up with better sequences that ASR ko sataane ki 100 tarike - btw did LM take Lakshmiji with him - is she also coming back with him ? :) Anji ki bache ki aur Nani ko Lakshmijiki yaad kaahe nahi aawat hai :)

What is really required is Gul to come out and broadly outline the next goalpost like she did for the trust track....
Believe me, i fell for that romantically described notion of Trust as if it were something i heard the word trust word for the first time...thats the power of expression in a medium...u can asethically tell a story if u have the guts...

I don't see how ASR has the moral ground to ask her to choose between him and Garima - I mean he let Creepwa into the house knowing full well what he did to Khushi albeit at her insistence - if he can tolerate that creep for his Di and so does Khushi , he has to lump it and tolerate Garima for Khushi ..the whole point of building that trust was to also understand that Khushi and Arnav are separate from everything else around them - including their stupid actions - like Khushi bringing in Shyam.
What I would hate happening now is creepwa messing with that trust..

By the way, I caught half an episode of PSH on tv today, saw it after ages ... although I love Varun Badola, but the story just didn't catch my interest. But the show is well directed and the actors are really good, especially Varun and the girls who play Sugni and her mother. The rest are average telly actors, not great, not bad ... unremarkable.

It is exactly as Dia said in edit, the family scenes need to be there, this was what was missing for the regular viewer. You can't just keep showing intense romance and alternate with comical scenes.

One moment he is all 'forgive me', and the next moment it is 'I want revenge'- any way the romance btn the collector and BV has not really struck a chord with me- I hope it hasn't with the rest of the audience.

Dadi is wily. If she had told that Arnav cannot marry Khushi because her maasi was the other woman, he would have gone against her wishes and married her because he does not listen to her. Now by laying the cards on the table and asking him to take the decision, she is making him responsible for stalling the marriage. She knows how much he loves his mom and a woman who was responsible for her demise would invite his wrath. She also knows how close Khushi is to her family. So by putting Arshi in dilemma and making them chose, she will come out of this mess unscathed.
ReplyDeleteI think he will listen to what dadi says but I am hoping he asks for proof. Arnav knows that dadi really is not keen on Khushi, and wants to stir up trouble. He will go ahead with the wedding, and investigate later. He will speak to G and even though it will be hard for him but for Khushi's sake he has to make sure of the,right story this,time. He made a big mistake before, I don't think he will want to make another. This may lead onto what actually happened to Khushi's parents as well. They will support each other and try and make peace with the past. Maybe nani can also give some insight to what happened to her daughter, she,must have some knowledge of what happened.

i guess if kareena is coming, everything will be hunky dory today and tomorrow..and wedding next week , i hope.
It's not going to be easy for either of them ... this is one of those times when it's not a decision which is right or wrong ... it's truly something your heart feels ... a decision you take, a path you choose to follow which you feel you can live the rest of your life with.
ReplyDeleteKhushi has now seen first hand what importance his mother has in his life, the place he gives her, even higher than Anjali ... she will understand completely the deep hurt and anguish for him to accept that the woman he loves is the daughter of the woman who caused his mother's death, and she will even understand his wanting to cut all ties with Garima.
But Garima took care of her when her own mother died, she never let her feel a mother's lack, something which Arnav has felt ever since his mother died ... how can Khushi cut herself off from Garima for a mistake she made when she was young and foolish?
I can feel Arnav's anguish and pain already ... and his dilemma as to what to do ... he KNOWS this is not Khushi's fault at all, none of it, but she is linked to a woman who made him lose his parents ...
It's a terrible spot for them both to be in ... a true emotional dilemma ... sometimes love is not enough ... this requires tremendous fortitude and courage to face ...
Girls i had a thot somehow i feel the OW is not Garima but Garima's sister i.e TWIN sister khushi's mother. Here comes in the significance of boondein and jhumka the fb had a jhumka and i think the photo that g has is that of her sister. I know this complicates the scenario but it also shows a way out for closure how much grudge can u have against a memory G is talking of this jhooot perhaps and bauji's silence is now more for keeping that than the shym truth. This thot came to me i have lots to discuss will come back in few hrs AD calls
ReplyDeleteRekha, I too thought of this but this would be acceptable only if Khushi's mother was involved with Arnav's father before her marriage to Khushi's father and not after because that would make her his mistress (in spirit if not physical). Now how can the poor boy get closure if his real mom-in-law was his father's mistress? Moreover, if G was holding on to was of her sister, why would she want to have one which also has Arnav's father? Wouldn't she rather have one with her sister and her husband or her sister and baby Khushi? I think Garima being the other woman is a better option that Khushi's mom being the other woman. I also think that there is not much else to this mystery because so far they have shown us the obvious. I remember before Shyam's identity as Anj's husband was revealed, there was a lot of debate whether he really was he appeared to be (a two-timer) but they ended up showing that he was. There was also a lot of debate on how Arnav can misunderstand Khushi when there were so many proofs in favour of her and if at all hate marriage happens it could be because A was upset that K hid the truth but they showed us the simplest of plots, A misunderstanding K to be Shyam's mistress and believing it for so long. Then at the time of kidnapping, all fingers pointed to Shyam but people debated whether it was him and if he was acting solely. Many felt he was only a conduit, the real culprit being the wicked chacha. Nothing like it happened and Shyam was indeed the sole kidnapper. Then came Dadi from the ashram. Again the obvious reason for her arrival was Shyam but then people tried to look beyond the obvious and presumed there was more than meets the eye. Nothing like it happened and Shyam just used her as a means to enter RM. The miscarriage was also always on the cards, with Shyam instigating it. Again there was debate whether Shyam would be stupid/cruel enough to kill his own baby but he did. Then there was Anj seemingly talking to thin air. Again the obvious was that she was talking to a hidden Shyam but they led us into believing she was having illusions only to show that it was indeed him all along. So I think G story is what it is. This CV team cannot think of any convoluted plots but they keep leading us on to believing they are really smart only to prove that they are not.

Its just a scenario and knowing that Arnav's life is complicated...i was looking how to assuage a living person's situation more than dead person...but i see ur point too...its just a think aloud matter
I agree the lesser of two evils appears to be G but i also looked at in a diff way...In life they say, its bad to talk ill of dead and sometimes diffi to really grudge a dead person's actions. Arnav has not done that with his father obv the issue runs deep...in reel life, they an show him having closure in two ways...one that yes, AD was wrong and A accepts it over time and the other being AD was a victim of circumstance. In case of OW, its more diffi...and so it has to be as clean as possible
1) what if K's mother was in love with AD (where AD had not told KM (khushi's mom) AD and KM were in love for a long time and DD forced AD to marry ratna.. (i don't want to make AD a saint in any form...he is a coward for not telling his family or KM his real situation and who knows may he was a womaniser)
but just moving alongwith the plot (half-baked, i agree)
On knowing the status of AD, KM moves away and gets married to KD (Khushi's dad)
a few years later, (when k is 8) there is an accident, possibly caused unintentionally by AD in which KD AND KM die)
Now Garima goes to AD for justice not knowing who he is and has that confrontation with him, which is perhaps misunderstood by Ratna ( or maybe there is another MU with another woman...can't decide that), G then recognises AD as the man that KM loved and they talk about the past or whatever,
after that the ratna MU happens and she dies.
AD has guilt on two grounds, his wife MUs him and he has caused the death of KM and so heartbroken, he kills himself.
Now on knowing this G comes to visit family for condolences and and she is mistaken by Malik family as the lady who was AD's lover becos she looks like KM..G actually wants to protect her dead's sister's memory and unthinkingly (BW style) she beomes the bali ka bakra and utters the "jhoot" as if taking blame upon herself...
The reason i put up this theory was becos G keeps talking about a jhoot...what could that jhoot be...if she was the OW....there is no jhoot, if she is not,she is protecting someone and obv that someone can only be KM....
Ok there are loopholes galore....some things i am not sure of how it will fit BUT
In this scenario, there are few positive things to think of...for Arnav's closure
In reality G is not the OW.
G may not be the real reason for the MU at all(between AD and Ratna, it could be that other lady they showed at funeral)
K's mom is actually no way responsible becos she died before AD and ratna...
So finally Arnav can have some closure after a period of pain

DeleteAnother thought - the only way Garima can come out unscathed is if she and AD were in love BEFORE his marriage, so here goes - they were in love, Dadi opposed and they split, they met again and she didn't know he was already married - he never told her, and carried on where they had left off. And when she discovered he was married, she lied and told him that she was also already married ... it broke his heart because he was planning to leave his wife for her ... so he died. So Garima's marriage to Shashi was because she HAD to get married in a hurry to try to save AD's marriage. There lies her sacrifice ... she sacrificed herself to try and save AD's marriage, but it was too late.
And the reason she kept quiet then was she was trying to save their marriage, so she never told Dadi that AD was ready to leave AM for her. But AM overheard their conversation, where AD was telling G he loved her, and was ready to leave his wife for her ... but didn't hear G say that she was already married, or she would never let him leave his wife ... or whatever.
Now why G is still keeping quiet, I can't explain ;) Will think about this on the flight and try to come up with something :)

DeleteDia, your plot fits in nicely. The lie G is talking about can also be explained and Shashi's role also can also be explain for he was in it with her then. AD and AM were the children of two childhood friends (Dadi and Nani). Dadi also mentioned that she tried to reason with AD many times but he didn't listen so she may have forced him to marry AM and AM lived in a loveless marriage. Again Garima holding on to that damning photo is what ruins it. Wish they had never shown that scene.

Yes, poor guy just got over the shock of Khushi being the other woman in his Di's life and now is to be confronted with the 'fact' that G was the other woman in his mom's life. His di did not make it difficult for him by insisting that K be banished from her sight (Wonder what he would have done if she did). Anyway she did ask for the scoundrel to be back but he did not comply. He could not take back a man who had wronged K and he reluctantly accepted him only after K brought him back. In other words, he could move on for Di's sake, grudgingly, only because K herself seemed to have put behind the past.
Now the bigger dilemma is he will never know if the dead woman would have forgiven G at some point because if she would not have, he would find it hard to forgive her too and as long as he does not forgive her, K will find it hard to live with him. She was upset that he did not call G amma. If he really hates the woman, K will be heartbroken.
So A is really between a rock and a hard place. If he is able to overcome this, forgive G and accept K, his love would have won over everything. K would be on a far higher pedestal than either of the two women who were important to him in the past.
It would truly be 'Iss pyar ko kya naam dhoon' when his present and future with K would rest the demons of his past forever.

(Scenes like these reassure me Anji's heart is in the right place when it comes to Chhote- right now, she thinks Chhote's world is perfect and hence does not worry, the moment she sees Chhote crushed...I hope slowly, the old caring Anjali will be back.
Elaborating on the point 1 and 2.
We see only what is immediately in front of us when the moment of conflict comes. We forget the past and the future for a while.
But after the dust settles, we see things clearly and start seeing the bigger picture- that is when we make the sensible decisions.
1.This is what happened to Arnav when he initially blamed K post kidnap for being the bad news in Anjali's life. It took him less than an hour to see the clear picture.
2. The dust has not settled for Anjali yet.
3. ASR will go through the same exercise again, I guess.
This time around, instead of anger, it may be grief, confusion and emptiness.
The difference between Arnav then and now is that now he has accepted Khushi whole heartedly and completely into his life. I think when they came back after the kidnapping, even then he had not accepted her completely. The love was there, the realization of that love had happened, but that feeling of unconditional acceptance and need hadn't crystallized, that feeling that she is his wife, his life partner come what may. The love was still new, the feelings still tender ... like a bud ready to bloom, but not yet fully open.
DeleteNow that flower is in full bloom, the love, the need, the passion, everything expressed, acknowledged and accepted completely. So this is a completely different test for them both. Don't underestimate the test for Khushi here too ... the need of her husband, her lover, her soulmate as against the love she received unconditionally from an adoptive mother, who took her in and gave her a home when she was completely alone and helpless, a child orphaned at eight. Garcia, a true mother, will tell her to abandon her, that her husband and his wishes should be paramount for Khushi ... will Khushi be able to agree to that?
And will Arnav even give her the opportunity to take a decision for herself? If he is given even a moemnt's reflection, time to think with a cool head, he knows he cannot - in fact, nobody can - blame Khushi for the mistakes her adopted mother made in her youth. But emotions can overpower reasoning very easily, especially when those emotions run so high and deep.
Regarding Anjali, I'm not thinking for the moment. I think the cvs have realized their mistake in giving her so much screen space and no well thought out track, she couldn't carry it, so she will stay in the background. It will be Arnav battling his demons , and to a point Khushi as well ... I hope they give her that space.

true....its how the mind perceives a situation becos of an experience, then he knew nothing about Khushi, now he knows her...
In fact during the marriage phase, i used to always say " sab jankar pyar kiya toh kya pyar kiya" and in way, Arnav grew to love her despite everything and some of part if rejoiced at that...so its my romantic notion that he loves and accepts despite everything and then he has real closure knowing that G was never at fault...IT MAKES ARHI LOVE THAT MUH MORE SPECIAL...It can't be easy being K ot A..

Totally with you, that is what IPK is all about.
Even Khushi said, "Hum unke baare main kuchh nahi jaante hai"- after she had put her life at risk for him many times.

and yes it sucks to be ASR - and no matter what his reaction - this time round the audience will not be at his neck - people will be sympathetic and people like me who supported him even after the wedding will be out of jobs :D

no, no promos.. only a rumour that this is the surprise mami and NK were talking about for the sangeet. also, it is truly illogical to show the haldi and later sangeet... speculation is that kareena will dance at arshi sangeet(source- tellybuzz) so they HAD to have a sangeet ceremony, and I personally think that is why the CT made dadi welcome khushi.. to give a truly happy atmosphere for the sangeet. or else, why give that sinister promo so soon? they could have waited another day!

but the same can be said about ODB - he grows up knowing his parents killed themselves, knowing that his beloved mother was not loved by her husband, knowing that he had to provide for a sister when he was a mere kid himself, knowing that money ruled people (chacha throwing them out), he tried to stay away from the girl he loved - but could not - he fell deeply in love with her, knowing that she was ruining (ok thinking that she was ruining) his beloved sister's house (and lets be frank - he did not blame her only - not did he blame her first - his first reaction was "kameena Jija!!") - he looks up to one person who turns out to be the KJ plus an attempted murderer - finally finally he finds love, is happy and boom - he gets to know just before his wedding of this bomb (and he does not get his SR either ;))

Somehow I cannot sympathise with Garima. Maybe she was duped by Sr.Mallik into beliving he is single but by the time she could get away from him the double tragedy took place. Fine. that does not excuse her carrying the photo of the two of them for so long and looking at it so lovingly. I could not forget her slapping Khushi when she mentioned about Arnav's mom's suicide. Now why did she do that? Was she punishing her daughter for her own guilt? It is another matter that Arnav ended up giving us the much needed apology because of it.

Garima has always come across as the stern and sometimes unreasonable mom. She was ever ready to blame Khushi for all their problems. When Payal's marriage was stopped she did not think twice before saying that Khushi may not have done this if she was Payal's own sister. It seemed like she was going overboard to protect Payal because she was her husband's daughter, a husband who now appears to have borne a lot for her.
Her efforts to hide from dadi further portrayed her in a poor light. She knows Khushi is marrying into that family and so or later her truth is going to come. So why did she not meet Dadi and beg her forgiveness? She could have alternatively taken Khushi into confidence. Yes, she tried to do so on a couple of occasions but backed out. Such a coward and I would say selfish woman. It was pathetic how she used her husband's ailment to her benefit in many of her hide and seek activities.
I also don't believe that she was covering up for someone else. If she was, why would she jeopardise her daughter's happiness for that unknown person (living or dead), especially when Dadi threatened to stop the wedding? Would she not have admitted the truth at least then? And what was it about being helpless in falling for Arnav's dad? Why would a woman say that unless that is the truth? Moreover when she was shown alone repenting she kept saying that her deeds should not affect her daughters.
So no sympathies from me to her. All my sympathies are for Arshi who are unnecessarily caught in this drama.

Deleteif G has to be painted in that fashion...believe me for this serial there can be no closure for Arnav....ever ..the only way will be for Khushi to walk away from G oand that will not happen knowing K...or from A....forever and that cannot happen.
My point is If he can't see any redeeming quality in G, how can he make peace..with the past...
So at the moment, G's character is very central to this drama....
I agree during the earlier episodes, when Tuhina Vora played G, there was certain raspiness to her voice, cutting at times but loving as well...at that moment i only read her as a mom who is just as anyone, scared about duniyawale etc..
Then Pyumori Mehta stepped into this role and somehow she was almost in the background and went without notice but then when they showed G over a period of time, coupled with the website insights to G, i thot of G as woman as someone who is "Sahensheel"..and quaintly "sehemnewali"..i can't quote an exact instance but somewhere around the time when K and A stayed at GH....those episodes were as much about G as they were about A&K.....
Her actions at Khushi's marriage/Payal's marriage was that of woman who was worried about social stigma in her society or even the situation of hiding Shyam's real nature from R family was that of a person who would behave in the same fashion if it meant keeping her daughter's happiness intact...not that she was ethically right..and i have said this before too Payal is bigger culprit becos she was in marital bond
It was around the A&K GH stay that i built a notion of G as A's Amma....or maybe later, i can't recollect now but of course...thats not possible for various reasons and complicates the story as much if not more than now....and i remember later Sandy, Dia and I had discussions where we had our own theories and we put them up....
What i am saying is... no one is perfect..was Arnav right in courting K on Diwali when he was in a relationship with La...(yes, we know,he stepped back and all that )but obviously, we see things differently and have an ability to accept that becos we react to what is before us and the we can easily claim higher ground becos he did not love La then and all that....In a similar way, i wouldn't look at Garima and make that call based on that photo incident...she may genuinely have a reason to have that photo....which may be revealed to us.
On that part, why covering up...becos if she broke her silence on that, she would only make it tougher for Khushi if it turned out that KM was the OW ....about her deed affecting her daughters, it can be read as the lie that she has spoken
I am not saying that G is not the OW...i am only saying...its not fully played out yet....
Again, like u, i also see all of this only from ARHI's progress of love story...

Enter evil chacha- opportunist- asks her to tell a white lie for the sake of her 'love story'- ends up telling the white lie to AM- straight from the horse's mouth- AM believes it- ADclueless- what affair? what woman?- (really, the woman Amma keeps warning me to keep away from- but that is not the relation btn us- don't you know me, woman?)- both die suicide/ murder- Dadi confronts Garima- (the funny thing is she doesn't act like she was responsible for the death of a guy she was in love with- fiddles with her duppatta??? Gul??? not learned lessons from Anji?)
Th2:
AD was helping out the family- enter evil chacha- entraps Garima- she did not know chacha was married- he urges her to tell a white lie of some sort- which was interpreted as affair by all- chacha finishes off AM&AD- dadi confronts G- she thinks dadi is talking about the evilchacha being shaadi shuda- fumbles with duppatta- she is just getting to know how she caused the death of 2 innocent souls- comes for the funeral- threatened by chacha leaves Lucknow with Khushi.
(Personally, I like th2 better, because that kind of rules out any romantic involvement btn G and AD, accommodates evil chacha, and explains Garima hanging on to the picture of a nice brotherly figure whose death she inadvertently caused. I can't even think about K's real mom involved in this mess.
Prob. K's dad worked for the Malliks and evil chacha finished him off in an accident and made it look like AD caused it and AD was troubled about it?
If any of this is true, what is evil chacha up to now?

Don't know how it applies to IPK.

Do read Arhimaniac on first page- she has written Th2 and she seems to have some symbolisms supporting her take.(Unbelievable that two of us arrived at the same theory by different means- does not mean it is the truth, at least two of us are equally nutty. LOL)

DeleteI am not holding to any theory be it of G as OW or KM as OW becos frankly i am only looking at any scenario that gives a semblance of closure to the lovebirds in as beautiful a manner as possible ..becos lets face it...a death by suicide is one such situation where closure is very difficult...its a very sad situation...the helplessness of people who are left behind always wondering could they done something to prevent it.....
So, if it is about murder, not suicide...from a story POV, its not unusual...it is the easiest route...becos all u have to show is there will be pain becos of Mus etc and then the truth will come to light and there will smiles of acceptance all around..
If Gul chooses this route, she gets marks for keeping everybody on a merry chase, tenterhooks and ofc for this lovely story
But if i think i understand even a wee bit about Gul's style of story telling, there will be something before the predictable happens...either it will be a case of a track that shows Arnav fighting the inner turmoil in a unique manner before the actual truth as u mentioned above coming to light....
OR
it will be a totally different emotional experience along the lines of her previous track which had Gul written all over it...the trust track....atoot vishwas....
Frankly i don't know what i like better...a story that was built on MUs and its clearance or a story that shows love conquers all...the deepest demons, the greatest fears, the strangest circumstances....just becos love is love....
And becos ARHI are fictional ( sometimes i say that to myself to accept it too)

So, the story could go any way, especially since Geet showed a man who had no trouble accepting a woman who carried another man's child as his own.
But, since this is SP and not star one, I feel she will cater to the sensibilities of the regular viewer too.
