Shyam spends the sangeet running after an envelope ... villain back to being comic, now this I can live with. And being outwitted at his own game :) How I wish Dadi turns complete 360 and exposes the villain ... not much point hoping that in face of the promo, but that would be a twist indeed!!!

Actually geetu for diehard lovers of ASR character, this might have been a shock and i can see gasps of disbelief. In fact i think there is a clear divide on this on IF....but looking at from a purely story pov...it was a case of mauka bhi hain aur dastur bhi.... his wife was miffed, almost daring him.....and ASR rose to the challenge and in the bargain just won over her more if it was possible.....him doing a soulful number would have meant an actual 360 in ASR dynamics......am i even making sense....dunno just wanting u to see it in a diff way..LOL, the things we do for ARHI prem..

Also, Dadi's dialogues ki kusurwaar ko saja jaroor milegi....we know that Khushi isnt the kusurwaar...Garima, not sure but hopefully isnt the kusurwaar....the only kusurwaar is Shyam....use end me sazaa jaroor milegi...par ab agar arnav-khushi ki shaadi huyee to that will me a mini punishment for shyam, hai naa

ArHi dialogue abt bees-tees-chaalis saal baad reminded me of Samrat proposal to gunjan at the end of season two.. :))) it had something similar... :)) only there MoNaya made it all the more beautiful since we KNEW they were going out with each other and actually saying those dialogues both on screen as well as offscreen.. :)

DeleteYep that dialogue and the way Arnav looked at her asking her if she thot of the future and another special moment was "will u marry me"....thats a hipoint in any romance infact, its almost a cliched moment, if u will but somehow with ARHI, i just loved the moment
In fact, there were lot of cute moments...when Arnav says...nono there will be no bachelor's party and the whole buildup of the bachelor's party was cute..

it has almost been like all bits and parts doing their thing and somehow the end product was put out without a feeling for quality...IF LM is the guy who can bring that back, the ownership in a product that u think is high quality, .GUD for IPK, gud for us...

Ipk is not yet out of the woods its gonna take a while. They have a tuf job at hand. Showing the hero like a hero would be a great start. He has been shown doing a lot of things so now we are really ready for some action

In that episode, the closeups were taken from far-off angles...and camera was zommed in on less important things...
the most beautiful shot where Arnav gives Khushi his hand to walk to the dias, it shud've been a close-up..with some time given to their face to capture their feelings...but what we got was a far-off shot...as if it was preeto's engagement.....missed LM a lot that day....

The other grouse I had was I was all the while happy that IPK did not have athe cliched matron as a villain - and then Dadi showed up - hope they turn that around too :)
in today's episode Dadi looked irritated at her pyare damadji...

i know ASR said that Dadi only sees what she wants to...maybe she'll see the goodness of khushi...afterall our sankadevi is one of her kind... Dadi did accept that Khushi did something good when she got Shyam back..... now she is angry with Garima and also viewing Khushi thru Shyam curtain... this second marriage will help Dadi to see the true Khushi.... she will also realize that Khushi loves ASR deeply.....hopefully, if that happens, she will start questioning Shyam's kahani..

this was wrt to Arnav-Anjali love...that person had said that its a story bt all the diff love forms present in the story...not just ArHi love....
so maybe this khushi-dadi track would be for their love story :P love and trust between grand sasuma-grand bahuriya hehehe

I lived the salmon style Dance was damn cute:-) thought it would be un ASR but his speech about love changing you worked...
Arhi scene was also sweet ... I dunno why it's a tiny thing but I liked how he said 'accha listen Khushi...' so normal and couplish...

Absolutely gargs. In fact i liked that they made asr dance to a tapori number and not a soulful becos this underscored that he was doing this for madcap khushi. Somehow i loved that and so glad barun pulled it off well

Hey Dia....i have processed it....the towel step has the fandom up in arms ...but i guess Gul doesn't do things in half-measures...if its SK for Khushi then it had to be the signature SK step and just for gumption, i would give the CVs, Barun full marks to have pulled it off....for a non dancer and for a character that doesn't dance at that.....all or nothing...i liked that attitude more than the dance per se.....there is arrogance conveyed in that too.....

dance i could have been ok with and def liked his line before the dance but the rest was so not IPK! - whatever happened to the teri meri magic and teh removing of lights by the poolside - oh i am not saying bring back the brooding ASR, the smiling one is just fine - but why kill the romance - make it a B grade hindi film :(
and KKG is dumb again - no idea of what is a bachelor party and Payal knows? - or is this to introduce KK??
Mona, I am with you on this one. Even I did not like ASR doing a tapori dance like salman. It was not in character of ASR. The Arhi dance on "pehla pehla pyaar' was much better.
DeleteMaybe too many writers are spoiling the characterization of Arnav and Khushi.
If Arnav can change because of love, it should be applied to Khushi also. Why can't she also behave in a more matured and serious way just like Arnav? (It doesn't mean I do not like Khushi. I absolutely love her in in emotional and intense scenes) Would have loved if instead of "20-30-40 sal baad' wala dialogue and Khushi giggling and clapping like a 9 year old, they had more hand holding and eye-lock conversation which they excel in...and a string of FBs. It would have been more sensuous.
I would have actually preferred a sweet romantic proposal...And its not that Khushi likes filmy dances only...she also likes filmy dialogues...Don't we all remember the dialogue "is jahan main kisi na kisi ke liye koi banaya gaya hai" which she had suggested Arnav to speak during Payash milap. Koi bhi Yash chopra dialogue chalta. This 'proposal dance' was too loud for even Arnav's taste.
CVs, please do not change the style of Arnav. Do not rob away his ASRishness. Please make Khushi less dumber. Khushi was childish during holi also. I just loved her bindass dance in her yellow dress...but there is a difference between being childlike and being dumb.
She is a very intelligent person who knows the worth of relationships and how to get things done. Her character should not be messed with.

@rekhs..its not abt being a one-woman man yaar..its abt that area of thw boys' brain that's designated to be like that..pick any normal guy and you will find this trait in them... I myself know of many guys who are so madly in love with their women, are one-woman men, who have done even more surprising things for their women than what ASR did for khushi by dancing on a salman khan number...But still, cannot stop drooling over katrina kaif when sheila ki jawaani comes on screen.. :-P

BALH - this really dumb woman comes back after 5 years and says "oh sorry i went missing and let you all think i was dead - i caused so much pain but i was being mahaaan for my husband!!!" and worst of all - she keeps her husband away form his daughter for no fault of his own!!! seriously - at least her husband did not go all gaga over her but actually got angry - "You want to talk??? you come back after 5 years and you want to talk..where, what..." type of dialogue - best thing in the play though :D
Verdict - thank God for IPK (& R&R of course - would have been de-addicted long ago had it not been for R&R)

That is when I decided to ignore dadi- Shyam and enjoy the re- marriage track- before the suspense really kills me.
So, KK or no KK- I hope today will be nice- I guess comedy hi hoga- better to not expect too much.
Yesterday's epi- there was some magic there, I don't know what it was.
ReplyDeleteI was ready to cringe when the dream sequence came and the towel dance came- ended up liking it!
Dream- could've been a little better- they should've eased better into the dream and I felt it should've ended with them breaking out of the trance when NK- mami gets the applause.
The towel dance took me by surprise, but I was delighted to see BS dance. At first, I thougt I'll just enjoy it as a BS number, forgetting ASR, but even in the dance with that stupid towel step, he maintained ASRism- esp at the 'square' step (the one where they sit down and get up)- WONDERFUL!
This could've been avoided big time: K lipsync-ing to 'tum se shaadi karoongi'- a simple nod of her head with eyes brimming would have been nice.
On the Bachelor's party- this is the first time I'm getting excited about the re-marriage- I hope they don't let me down.
I am not expecting a hot number- I'll take it if it comes- I want to see bitiya's jealousy.
We've seen plenty of Bitwa's jealousy in the Payash marriage (wrt NK) and other times wrt Shyam (DDR).
There was only a glimpse of bitiya's jealousy once with Lavanya- there was no possessiveness there.
I loved ASR's expression at the end of the episode- he seemed amused.
If bitiya shows posessiveness today, it will be displaying a new dimension to her love- ASR will be flattered.

I want her to walk out let the family and Arnav search her.. let her breakdown in front of DM, let them find her there and have a wedding in fornt of DM, the same place where he forced her ,breaking her heart, getting into a contract.. I would love for him to vow at same place accepting her as his wife forever this time ..
Khushi missing is the only way for arnav to walk away from his past leaving it behind to his future Khushi... to understand his holding to is nothing better than a future without her..
