Shyam is fast becoming a comic villain - his never-ending hunt for the scorpion was the funniest part of the episode. As was his frustration with his over-loving, mollycoddling wife ... =))
Mami is truly the villain of the show - this is the third time she has gotten away with her nefarious activities x(
The Arhi scene was cute - where Khushi babbles away happily about how she's not scared of Arnav, til confronted by the man himself ... whereupon she runs for her life. Wish he had smiled a bit more at that one - he was definitely smiling wider and wider through the episode - in fact, I don't think I've ever seen him smile wider! By the end it was a full-fledged grin! =))
Mami was way better than Buaji in the dance for sure, but not better than Nani ... two heavyweights dancing! Today's performance was very average though - tomorrow is Khushi, that should be fun ... and maybe NK as well :)
Khushi looked like a doll - simply adorable in the scene with NK and bua, as perplexed as him about her aunt's very random behaviour. Didn't they guess what had happened? Guess not - as alcohol was supposed to be not allowed on the premises! Loved both Khushi and NK in the scene :)
And loved the look Arnav was giving her in the precap as she danced :">

Khushi giving pep talk to Buaji, approving smiles (and not much else) from Payal and Garima). Arnav smirks.
Snakewa looking for pet scorpion ... that's about all he did throughout the episode!
Khushi chats with Akash ... gabbling away about how she's not scared of Arnav, Akash disappears, Arnav takes his place, and listens, encouraging her to gabble ... till she realizes who she's talking to ... cute scene ... cliched but cute. And of course he taunts her again .. 'who's scared? Me or you?' ... in a very mild, soft tone ... to which she has no answer. So she just turns, gives him as defiant a look as she can manage, and beats a quick retreat. And he watches her go with none of his usual anger, but a much softer look ... with the instrumental Rv in the bg, to show his softened feelings (have to add, necessary, as his expression wasn't too soft here.).
Mami gets up to her antics and spikes Buaji's drink ... interrupted by a frantic Shyam when she discovers his box ... both trying to hide their respective kartoot ... Shyam manages to get rid of Mami, scorpion still inside the box, but Mami has untied and dropped the ribbon, so he bends to pick it up .. yet another interruption, in the form of his ever-loving wife =))
One reason for Shyam to feel suffocated was shown very clearly ... and in a hilarious manner ... I actually felt sorry for the guy with such an overly-melodramatic, cloyingly loving wife! Loved the way she dragged him away and he cast longing glances at his beloved scorpion! =))
The scene with NK, Garima and Buaji was sweet, and probably the only realistic scene in the episode :) ... the family members actually talking in a normal friendly manner. Loved the way NK was happily chatting with the Gupta ladies ... then the whole shenanigan of playing with the drinks till Mami wasn't sure which went where ... another cliched scene, time pass, but NK made it cute! And Buaji gets the spiked drink meant for her.
Side note - liked Garima's sari and jewelry, she looked pretty. A pretty wallpaper ;)
Mami-Buaji - dance of the heavyweights ... Mami was definitely better, Buaji was reasonably graceful, but is so bulky! And of course she gets drunk, messes up, and Khushi is starting to get very worried indeed. And Arnav's smirk is getting wider and wider, it's almost a full-fledged grin now!

Cute of NK to go congratulate Buaji - he's really a sweet guy! Buaji-NK ... filler, but needed ... don't know whether Arnav was practicing for his dance, but Khushi sure needed the time with two full dances coming up! And she was still very much in the NK-Buaji scene too! Loved the little by-play between NK and Khushi at Buaji's behaviour! :)
Scores announced - R- 14, G - 4 ... well, G's have taken part in one round, R's have had two, so let's see if our heroine can make up the points! And judging by the precap, she sure will!
Khushi was dancing so well in 'ek, do teen'! And judging by the smirk being wiped off Arnav's face, he thought so too! Loved that look! :"> :)
I was actually checking how much screen time Sanaya had today - two full dances plus Teri Meri coming up, she needs all the time to practice ... but she's very much on screen during the episode ... a couple of solid scenes with lots of dialogues - she's really giving her all to the show, and working flat out! No wonder the poor girl looked exhausted in the SBS! Hope she gets some rest when she's in hospital with the scorpion bite!

Dia, It was an okay epi. Looks like they shot arnav khushi scenes at one go..Cos in lots of places, they used the same shots of him just like yesterday.

And who are those idiot judges,Nani deserved a 9 and mami definitely did not deserve the same 7 as nani got.
Okay don't hate me for this anyone, When Anjali dragged away Shyam and he kept on looking at the scorpion..It reminded me of the ME scene where arnav keeps looking at Khushi's payal and La drags him away.
Snakewa is still scorpion hunting, so I think he will be missing Khushi and arhi performance hopefully.
NK-Buaji lol. That is all I can think of, over to you all.
Agree with you Shwetha....ok episode.......but how come they didn't realize that buaji was drunk, her behaviour was defo talking....maybe khushi will realize tomorrow....did u see the precap...snakewa staring at khushi when she was dancing ek-do-teen....i felt like punching him
ReplyDeleteOk episode, agree with you both ... but Arnav's shots were new, he was smiling wider than I've ever seen him smile right through the show :) And I loved the look he gave her in the precap - Sanaya was dancing SO well and looking so good! Tomorrow's episode should be fun.

ReplyDeleteSanaya is too dedicated to her work, isn't she.....she was shooting for engagement episode, dancing and all, with a fever.....hats off to the girl.......she is phenomenal.......her acting, the way she gets along with the rest of the cast.......everything.........
one thing i always noticed but never mentioned....was her interaction with Shashi...i don't know how much they know each other....but the way she acted with him, it always felt like a real father-daughter bond.......she was never uncomfortable...or shied away from doing actions, what a real daughter would do........i know its a small thing, but i always liked it...
Geetu, I agree with you on that one - the Sanaya-Shashi - I remember in the hospital scene, we got an SBS where Sanaya and Deepali were both fooling around with Shashi ... they seemed to get along really well. And the way Sanaya hugs him is like she's hugging her real father - close, tight, no inhibitions at all.
ReplyDeleteI even loved her interactions with the first Garima - that lady was a really good actress and so is Sanaya, so their emotional scenes together really rocked! I'll dig out a couple if I can, but I still remember the one in the first week of the show when everyone is angry with Khushi for breaking Payal's marriage, she tries to cheer them up and finally Garima forgives her ... the way she asks her "I am your real daughter, aren't I, Amma?" and Garima nods and hugs her again - that scene was so beautiful! Showed Khushi's insecurity about being adopted, and Garima's feelings - you really felt then that Garima was her real aunt, now it seems this Garima is just not bothered about Khushiat all !
Geetu: I completely missed snakewa in the precap, just saw Arnav there and for some reason the shyam anjali scene barely registered with me yesterday. Looks like I am subconsciously blocking out shyam,lol. Geetu, May be they will today and take her to a room and that is why the G family misses arhi dance, cos in the promo only R family was shown right?
ReplyDeleteDia: I hate to see this, but I found Barun/ASR inconsistent for the past 2 episodes. They repeated the shots I am sure, although they are careful in repeating those shots per episode..Dunno how to explain it.
Arhi scene was okay though whatever happened to sensing each other's presence?
Dia, I think, the Arhi Dance will be monday, they will milk it for all its worth. We have khushi's performance, then NK and what about Payash, won't they dance? So It would be better if it is Monday, cos they can attract more viewers by constantly airing the promo so it will result in more TRPs.
As for Sanaya, I sincerely hope that hospital scene gets dragged for atleast 3 days if not a week. If she gets admitted and gets discharged the next day, I am not sure how much of an impact ODB will have,lol.
You know I am actually looking forward to the hospital scene and Arnav's inner turmoil than the dance cos I am sure ODB after the dance will put his foot in the mouth in the challenge thing. That smirk when she pulls away is kinda bugging me.
Rest of the epi was okay, It was more fun reading the comments and your post tbh.

Yesterday's epi was okay.. liked ArHi bits, though i agree they were cliched, but nevertheless, enjoyable.. :)
I dunno why but i feel this ArHi dance will be about Khushi's realization that she cant run away fom this love that she feels for ODB.. It will be like a series of flashbacks of their WHOLE story so far.. Like we had in MJHT- rab ne bana di jodi (remix)song and since THIS song is a remix as well,i am getting vibes that it will lead to Khushi's realization and then BANG.. She gets bitten and then follows Arnav's realization.. Atleast this track will lead to ArHi's self-confession to themsleves that they LOVE each other..
LOL.. I know its unhealthy to predict but this promo is driving me crazyyy..! <33 :/ esp the actions of Khushi in the end bits.. Its intriguing.. Lets see how it shapes up.. :)

I cannot make out, is he just on about winning and planting doubts in Khushi's mind, or he he also softening towards her? She is not softening towards him, that's for sure, winning the challenge is the only thing on her mind, and more because of what he'll make her do if she loses. So Khushi's feelings are very clear, and I think her ambivalence will start only after the close dance. But am scared of that, because like you, I am dead sure that ODB will put his foot in it again and say he danced like that only because of the challenge ... that much I accept - but if he goes on to say that she's stupid to read any other meaning into it, and she's not important to him, blah blah ... I will whack him! After going all out to win, even getting on to the dance floor himself, he simply cannot make such claims ... and hopefully she is smart enough to point it out if he does ... the way she pointed out all his previous losses to him.
ReplyDeleteI'm just wondering how long the hospitalization can be - the wedding is usually the day after, maximum two days after the sangeet, so how long can they drag it? Unless she almost dies, he goes through all the trauma we want, and then they have the wedding while she's still in hospital? Unlikely!
Or maybe they'll just drag her recovery for however long is required, and have the Payash wedding as soon as she recovers, ignoring all these finer details :)
OR maybe (yet another idea) ... Shyam's revelation does happen in the ME as we expected ... after all, seeing Khushi in hospital HAS to make him expose something of his feelings, right?
Am looking forward to Sanaya's performance on 'ek do teen' tonight ... and now I'm reasonably sure that they can't have Teri Meri tomorrow night ... we have two dances from Khushi and one from NK coming, plus won't we have "Didi tera Devar" also? That's supposed to be there as well, that could be Khushi and NK - strictly speaking, NK is the devar, Arnav is the jeth! So three, if not four songs ... good, Teri Meri not before Monday ... am gonna miss the episode Friday night :(

After watching the promo, and hearing about the scorpion biting Khushi, I don't care too much about the episodes ... I enjoy watching the songs and dances, tbh, and now that we know the story is going to proceed, am happy watching the filler episodes, as long as they're entertaining!
Hmm, you may be right ... this might be Khushi's realisation as well ... because at the end of the promo, HE looked smug, but she doesn't look very shocked, as in shocked because she expected NK ... it's more a coming out of a daze and searching look ... see the difference between her expression and the R family's ... they are shocked to see Arnav, she is not.
And I am very willing to go by Sanaya's expression, because she very rarely goes wrong with them ... remember, Sumi, the MJHT-DMG ME promo when six people were drunk at the party, and the only one we guessed from a 30 second promo, was Gunjan?!
You're not the only one going crazy over the promo - I've had the tab open on my page since yesterday .. lost count how many times I've watched and tried to analyse her expression and reactions! :)
Just popped in here with a thought ... the promo we saw is probably not what we will see in the episode ... the promos never are. Remember the Shyam slap and the payal promo, they both played out differently, including the clothes.
ReplyDeleteAlso I watched the original Bodyguard song ... someone said that Kareena was in a green sari in the song, but the video I saw had her in a red off shoulder dress? Someone please clarify? I don't remember what she wore in the movie ... it was so bad I didn't watch much of it.
Dia: This is where I feel ASR is atm..He knows both are single and she is starting to get re-affected (for lack of a better word) by him.
ReplyDeleteRight now he is focusing more on winning cos he does not want to lose much less to her..He taunted her and she taunted him right back.
And he is not threatened...There is no unknown fiancee and NK is not a threat..So he is enjoying their relationship at the moment where he knows he does have an upper hand..just a little bit.
Last time the farak padta hai track was just that..Her presence in his life which he takes for granted was threatened, he swung into action..Now when her life is threatened, it will be the wake up call he need atleast to admit to himself that farak padta hai..thoda nahin bahut padta hai.
Like Sumi said (Hi Sumi), the dance will be her realization...The feelings that she has buried are still there and now even more considering their single status..And unlike him, she will know for sure this time what it is rightaway.
For ODB..It will take time..
As for Payash wedding it might be either postponed or happen at RM itself....That way they need not go with the Baraat way and sastay may shaadi ho jaayegi, lol.
Or who knows a double wedding might just be round the corner, though I doubt it.
Btw, by 3 days I meant 3 episodes..They might show it as a night too..She gets admitted in the hospital and recovers by morning (dunno how realistic that would be?)
And R family might request G family to move in R mansion or something like that..so ppl will be around to take care of Khushi and the wedding can go as planned.
Will there be a didi tera divana, cos they have already done one madhuri number right.
So khushi's dance today, NK's tomorrow, Results out, Arnav saying can I have the last dance..
So Monday she does the dance, She gets bitten on Monday or Tuesday..Drag it the whole week, I mean they have to show loads of FBs of Khushi for each of the characters too right?
I am going to enjoy her dance today for sure.

DeleteLoved your take ... Agree that Arnav is aware of his effect on her, and he's counting on that in the dance. Also agree he is not threatened. But has he accepted his own feelings???
My bet is No. For him, he's in a very comfortable place. No threats from unknown fiance, NK is not a serious contender, I think he's enjoying himself for sure, and more because unconsciously he just feels that now she is his, there are no rivals for her attention and affection, and he is somehow feeling secure that she will be around always. Taking her for granted, as it were ... she's there, she's always there, and now, no other threats also ... he has nothing to be worried about. Plus she doesn't expect anything from him, so there is no pressure whatsoever from any quarter, he is free to flirt with her and enjoy seeing her get flustered ...and win that bet ... important to him, because his ego hasn't reached the place where he can stand losing to her. Again, not consciously ... I think subconsciously he doesn't actually like her losing, even to him ... which might tip the balance at the end.
So you're right ... at the moment, he's secure, under no pressure, no threat of losing her, he is just a wee bit complacent ... enough to be happy with things and not want to alter a damn thing. And would probably be happy for a good long time ... which is where Mr. Scorpion comes in to shake him up well and good. And that will happen when she's lying on her hospital bed, between life and death - of course it will get dramatic ... and ODB will finally get a major jhatka, and hopefully move to self-realization.
But after that ... what? If they both realize their feelings, my guess: No question of confession yet, and frankly I don't want it so soon. SO one of three possibilities -
He wants her around him, but is too proud to confess his feelings, so he gives her a job in his office. Their relationship develops slowly further, and Shyam's exposure is delayed a few more months.
He wants to fight his feelings and doesn't want her around - but of course Devi maiyya to the rescue, something happens with Shyamuu and results in forced marriage.
Shaym revelation, in the face of his newly discovered love, he's still fighting his feelings, so a hate track again ... he sends her away. And some new circumstances arise for them to meet - maybe she gets a job in some other office with dealings with AR or something.
What say?
Exactly, Complacent is the word. And after this incident, it will be a time for introspection for him, His feelings for Khushi, His faith (it would be nice if they simply show a scene where he sees a picture of Devi Maiyya and prays, Plz dont take her away from me, Let me not lose the person I love..again)
DeleteI forgot about this sorry, Someone posted this in the forum couple of days ago, According to a close source, two tracks are being contemplated..office track or marriage track and it seems the CVs were kind of looking what the viewers would want, but not confirmed..So I see like you said first or second happening.
Him sending her away would be too much I think, I mean it is 7 months and we want to see them in the same frame right, either at office or marriage..so the last one might be the least likely thing to happen, but you never know.
If the CVs are keen that Arhi remain single for more time to avoid the typical marriage thing as much as possible, Office track is a possibility, but where would that lead us, she does not have any major qualification..So it will be them looking up and down at each other while they are working, so dunno what is planned ahead.
My guess is the CVs have planned till the hospital and self realization after that they will wait for the viewer response, trp and take decision accordingly.
Dia, I think there will be a dance, the family's reaction would be cos of Arnav on stage and not for the chemistry ,I would be very surprised if they guessed anything?

She will stop midway or just before the end...resulting in his win.
I am sure ODB will pucca put his foot in the mouth, cos it is very clear when she pulls away, he has a smirk, his hands are in his pocket and is the least bit perturbed that she has pulled away.
