3rd Dec Tues
Hopefully the last of the random time pass episodes shot just before NY to fill the gap till the nex Arhi meeting - as the poolside scene with Barun was definitely shot just before he went on his break.
So the guys continue to blither and blather as to how Akash can meet Payal at midnight - and Arnav finally has had enough with NK's chips (and there appears to be no chances of NK calling Khushi again), so he leaves. Akash still worried about Payal's tears - lord, man, get used to them, she cries more than she talks!
The GH scenes today were better than the RM ones, because they were fewer in number, less time consuming and not repetitive. Also I found that because Arnav has just one expression and one mood to portray when Khushi is not in the picture, after a while, too much screen space for him becomes a bit repetitive. All through yesterday and today he was basically glowering. While Khushi has the advantage that she can move from mood to mood (here Payal is the one with a single expression, or maybe two ;-)), and her interactions with Buaji and Payal go through different shades, from teasing to soft, to loving, to sad - so the GH scenes were definitely more interesting the last two days. Yesterday the guys were good, today they got boring - too much, and all the same.
So Khushi and Payal still sad from yesterday about Payal's leaving, and as usual, Khushi tries to cheer up Payal with some teasing - I'll bring Buaji and Happy if the Raizadas don't treat you well, and what are you really sad about? Leaving us? Or not meeting Akash at midnight? And of course even morose Payal has to smile.
NK-Akash at poolside where Arnav retreated to work ... comedy got forced after a while. NK-Akash making plans to meet Payal, Arnav nixes them all, and proposes the most sensible and most unromantic one of all - just go to their house and wish them all. And he flatly refuses to go with Akash.
Arnav's ego working big time here - he challenged Khushi that SHE would appear in front of him, so of course, how can HE be the one to land up at GH?
Nk rejects Arnav's plan, and says he will ask Khushi. Akash agrees. Arnav even more annoyed - his plan rejected and they will ask Khushi?
NK gets all set to call Khushi.
Khushi seriously worried - Arnav's pronouncements have a habit of coming true, and she doesn't want to meet Arnav at midnight, come what may. She's not going to step out of the house. Then there's no chance of her seeing him.
NK calls, Buaji happy ... Khushi tells NK they were remembering what he said about meeting the one you're going to spend your life with at midnight. NK decides he wants to see Khushi's face.
Arnav, learn something from your younger brothers! Glowering will get you nowhere.
Shyam Anjali Akash - didn't get the point of this scene at all - if Anjali and Shyam are planning a romantic midnight dinner for two, why ask Akash what he wants for dinner? Totally nonsensical! But it did show that Shyam wooed Anjali with as much romance and single-mindedness as he showed towards wooing Khushi - also showing how he gauged each woman's weakness accurately. Anjali was wooed with romance because she always felt inadequate about herself and her disability, plus her experience of being left abandoned on her wedding day. So for her, the romance was pulled strongly. For Khushi, it was always about family, her weakest point - she would do anything for family, even marry someone she didn't care for.
Akash hears that his very correct and proper jeeju also did all these unlawful antics in love ... so for him too, it's allowed, isn't it!
Buaji says she wants to see her NK. NK thinks she wants to see him - so done! Khushi left wondering why NK called at all.
NK then has to stop Akash from meeting Payal, so that his meeting can proceed without a hitch.
Shyam planning a surprise for Anjali ... an unpleasant one. At the poolside.
NK-Akash- Arnav - okay, this part was really forced and silly. NK's accent was bad. Akash the wimp. Arnav glowering again, suspiciously this time. But he has no clue why NK is play-acting. And he doesn't try to find out.
Am losing hope in Arnav - if he can't figure out NK, how the hell will he ever figure out Shyam?
GH - Payal closes one window, leaves one open. So the way for the men to enter is clear.
Khushi making jalebis again out of tension ... Arnav was so definite she would appear in front of him ... and he has an unpleasant habit of being right where she's concerned. She's worried.
Payal tells her - and rightly so - Khushi, you're a nautanki!
Khushi says, justifying the nautanki bit - musibat and Arnav Singh Raizada ghadi dekh kar nahin aate! So she's going to stay safely in bed, and not take any chances at all. She doesn't want to meet Arnav at midnight ... last year, ever since she met him, her life has been in complete turmoil, she doesn't want the same again.
Turmoil in more ways than one - turmoil she doesn't understand fully, turmoil she has pushed away, locked out of memory, hurt, bewilderment, and blackest despair ... no, the safest for her is to pretend none of that ever happened, and stay out of his way. Because he still has the power to hurt her more deeply than anyone she has ever known.
Wish they would start showing some of Khushi's introspection - if, in this loud scene, I could see the genuine tension in her eyes and voice, am sure she would rock it if given a serious scene again ... I really want the serious Sanaya back!
Last part was Shyam setting up the poolside for Anjali's last new year ... Anjali looking really pretty - she is such a pretty girl!
Random thought - how many pools does RM have? One for each bedroom?
Shyam dips live wire in the pool.
Can't help but be glad the Shyam story is moving forward - much as I hate Shyam, his story HAS to move for any progress to happen between Arnav-Khushi.

Dia,
ReplyDeleteI liked the episode, cud it have been better, oh yeah..but with sarun on vacation, I guess we will have to make do with what is being shown.
Last couple of weeks, Barun was looking exceptionally tired and dont get me started on the thick stubble, Sanaya looked pale and weak, the spark is missing from her face and her performance.
Both of them looked bored and tired and the sudden change of tracks didnt help either, so now when they are getting the much deserved break/rest/vacation, we can hope we get our Arhi back fully rejuvenated.
When have we seen so much useless shyam and anjali romance? heck hariprakash got full 30 seconds for his I so wanna puke expression at SA romance, he must have gone and puked in the kitchen i am sureLOL.
And dunno if you noticed the scenes shown as coming up last a full 30 seconds, so it is the PH way of making up for the show time. So they are just kheenchofying this whole week, I Could be wrong, there is still so much to show:
Arnav agreeing to go with akash
NK sneaking up on his own
Anjali shyaam scenes
Some Gupta scenes of buaji and ammaji and maybe the babuji also
Khushi hopefully trying out the lehenga
khushi teasing payal more
arnav and akash going to GH
Arnav and akash planning how to meet payal unnoticed
Arnav entering khushi's room
The chaos that follows
khushi forcing arnav to go under the blanket
arnav khushi arguments
Arnav under the blanket
Buaji entry maaring
Khushi trying to convince Buaji it is payal inside
Buaji forcing khushi to sleep next to arnav or somethingWink
Arnav getting all naughty, mad or whateverEmbarrassed
NK joining the circus,
SHYAM's plain failing..
OOPS MOST IMPORTANT, ARHI MOMENT (hopefully it is good)
So much cant be squeezed in one episode right...or they will do that dunno.
SOOO...My guess is they will drag this the whole week as our New Year GIFT as LM said, whatever that means.
And from monday, hopefully our show begins.
Agree with you, anjali was planning a full family dinner and now everyone else looks like smartly opted out.
NK scenes, well it did make me laugh, he is being genuine be the character and the actor.
Maybe just like khushi they will show arnav panicking at the thought of meeting khushi though how he will agree to go under the blanket and what happens then remains to be seen.
Have had enough of the goofiness, Incandescent made a wonderful post on the forum regarding what is missing and totally agree, We fell in love with that show and not what is being shown currently.
So one can only hope with the full team back to work, we get our show back.
Like you I too feel Shyam going evil all the way is good thing, Let Khushi put on her detective suit and let slowly aranv get suspicious..I am really looking forward to arnav-khushy vs Shyam mind games, that should be fun.
Payal is becoming more and more like a dementor, she can suck the life and joy out of anyone and any occasion. Credit to khushi for managing to still retain all the khushi in her.
NK not volunteering to go with akash was STUPID. Akash kept on saying he wanted company, so he could have said I will go with you..Simple.
Loved Arnav's simple uncomplicated unromantic solution, for a bried moment I wondered if that is exactly what he would do when it is him and khushi, tapkofy and simply say, forget asking, I am here to take Khushi out, you guys dont mind right..As if the guptas have it in them to refuse.
See what all I think of while watching a filler episode.
AAAAAAND..I thought I wouldnt be writing much today, lol
Dia,
ReplyDeleteSince the forum is well...less interesting these days (for lack of better word(s)..So my forum time is being spent on reading your IP posts from June..Took me a while to figure out how to get there but I am having fun. Just finished reading your second epi update. Since I didnt watch the show from beginning, curious to know, how much the first impressions have changed especially regarding BS.
I agree with you, the first time I watched the first 2 episodes, I thought pretty much everyone's voice sounded unusually heavy. I first BS was speaking deliberately speaking slowly and a bit heavily cos he had been asked to and maybe he needed to work on his voice modulation or something. Dunno if the dubbing was bad or something, but with later episodes, Daljeet and BS voice became normal thankfully..And can I say his voice gets me everytime, old new lol. Anyway will catch up with your posts and can I say they are awesome.
Shwetha,
ReplyDeleteSorry for not replying yesterday - had a hectic day and was out most of the day.
Re the episode - I was watching it with my husband and the comedy of the guys seemed extra lame with his comments! I guess when you watch it with an unbiased party, you realise the weak points better! :D NK's Hindi mix ups were lame, no other word for them - elementary school stuff - we actually watched the Shyam scene with more interest!
But I agree, Barun and Sanaya definitely need the break - and deserve it too! The problem is that Mami and Nani also appear to be on break, and these four, and maybe Daljeet are the best actors on the show - the rest cannot hold it together for too long.
Re: my old posts - OMG, what did you do, I went back and read them too - the first month or two of IPKKND. And realised that it has always had its ups and downs ... the problem is the good points came very often and were really well done, so we've forgotten the bad stuff! Barun's voice modulation was bad at the start - I remember I could never understand what he said at first go, always had to rewind and repeat! He's improved a lot now.
Chalo, let us wait and watch. After watching the random track changes and overdose of comedy, and also the writer's interview - my big fear is that channel interference is increasing ... and if that is the case, and if the TRP's stay steady with this nonsense, there is not much hope for improvement. The only time I am actually hoping for TRP's to dip for my favourite show!
