I don't know whether it was because I didn't go on the forum at all today and completely missed all the negativity, but I thoroughly enjoyed today's episode. Seems the Diwali track was being re-created in a milder version, because it ended in the same way too, with Arnav telling Khushi that she had no importance in his life ... honestly, how does anyone expect Khushi to feel anything tender for him if he keeps repeating this ad nauseum? The moment the girl gets a bit close, or starts feeling aware of him as a man, he comes up with the same old stuff ... is she brainless or something that she will drool over the guy just for his looks, and forget everything he says?
Loved seeing the low firm-voiced Sanaya back ... the screaming girl of the last few episodes gone ... hopefully forever! Loved the Arhi kitchen scene where she ticked him off ... you want silence, you'll get silence. Let's see how you like it!
Loved Sanaya in the emerald green suit - her complexion was glowing today ... she looked simply stunning! :">
Felt sorry for Arnav at one point - when he was genuinely so worried about Anjali ... and poor Anjali, melting too quickly, and being told firmly by the others to hold steady ... =)) He looked like a school headmaster when he called his errant family in ... No wonder they love having Khushi around, if she livens things up so much, and manages to find ways to defeat his autocracy ... otherwise RM would be like a prison camp! Today, I was surprised when the episode ended, it went so fast ... shows that it was really good.
Loved the Dumb Charades at the lunch table ... the actors are ALL so good, they made it work and how! I could have watched that for a lot longer! Most hilarious part was when Arnav also started miming, and then realised what he was doing! =))
All in all, good fun episode, showed some signs of the old Khushi returning, and some of the old intensity as well ...

Khushi tell Arnav to slap her, because while she does know that his cancelling the sangeet is due to her, she's not exactly sure why. Silly Khushi, didn't you figure out the moment you said the word 'competition', Arnav's antennae were on high alert? And this guy just challenged you that he wouldn't lose, remember?
Khushi doesn't remember ... or at least, she finds it easier to believe that he cancelled the sangeet because of her thappad. So she tells him - slap me, we're even and then we can go ahead with the sangeet, right?
Wrong. He won't slap her ... gone are the days when he could drop her from an open window, or even from his arms (I think so, wonder if he'll prove me wrong on that one?) ... he can't hurt her now ... not physically, at least.
Loved the way Khushi kept muttering silently Devi maiyya, Devi maiyya all the time when her eyes were closed :P
He asks softly ... maar doon? and moves closer to her.
Then he adds, softly still ... forget it, you can't take it ...
And she opens her eyes to find him a bit too close for comfort, and looking at her still with that softness ... and she steps away hurriedly.

But the guy can't show too much softness once she opens her eyes ... (This guy gets the softness in his eyes only when her eyes are closed ... buster, what earthly use is that? x( ) ... so he's back to his snarky ways ... who told you I cancelled the sangeet because of you anyway? (And then people wonder why Khushi is not madly, hopelessly, head over heels in love with the guy!)
But the way he's looking at her doesn't seem to tie in with his words ... as though he's actually wanting her to see the dichotomy ... then he adds, I stopped the sangeet because I don't want the noise, I like peace and quiet.
Really, sweetheart? Is that the best you could come up with? Agreed, her soft hazel eyes looking at him with that hurt, disbelieving look would have thrown him off a bit ... so he actually felt the need to give an explanation, lame though it was ...
Khushi is very upset ... her pleading didn't work this time ... but then when does it ever work immediately? He always stops and reflects AFTER she has gone ...
Anjali, Nani and Mami all upset ... Nani goes off to satsang to pray for sadbuddhi to strike Arnav ... Khushi says God helps those who help themselves ...
Laxmi bleats and Khushi gets an idea ... but of course =)) Even Mami joins in wholeheartedly =))
Arnav at work, waiting for his office to get ready ... he finally remembered he has an office! Maybe Navya is giving up the office sets now that the wedding is on ...
HP starts the dumb charades ... lunch is ready. All in gestures. Arnav baffled. Baby, you ain't seen anything yet =))
Mami next - asks him in gestures to attend her phone. Bafflement grows.
The supporting cast in this show is DAMN good!!! =))
Nani enters ... again liked the little touches - she's standing with beaming smile on her face, obviously has been informed about the charades and is all ready to take part ... sees Arnav and glares ... no, she's not happy with him at all! Gestures that she went to mandir and now she's hungry ...
Lunch table ... entire family communicating in gestures ... totally into the spirit of the game ... Khushi already behaves like a member of the house ... or rather, the bahu :"> Serves water silently to Nani, Arnav shoots her a very thoughtful look, brain starts ticking ...
NK starts, Khushi stops him, he zips his mouth ... =))
Hilarious ... every little noise Arnav makes, the family glares at him. Nani's expressions! =D>
Arnav starts to eat sweet, Khushi perturbed immediately, message passes around table, first in gestures, then in the note ... Arnav asks, you could have said so, what's happened to you all?
Nani shoots Khushi a questioning glance, Khushi shakes her head. Just in case Arnav had any doubt who was behind this ... ;)
Khushi goes to get water for NK, Arnav follows her ... yay, the private Arshi conversations are back! Nani slightly worried for Khushi.
Of course he loses it ... what's going on? Why isn't anybody saying anything?
Silence. She just looks at him then tries to leave. He blocks her.

Delicately raised eyebrows ... oh really? Unspoken - I thought I wasn't important enough?Then she gestures eloquently again - step aside, let me go.

Why should I keep quiet? In fact, why are you quiet?! Why aren't you saying anything???!!!
(Side note to Khushi - in future, especially after marriage, whenever Arnav is angry with you, just give him the silent treatment. It works really well - he can't stand a silent Khushi! )
And finally she speaks ... because you want silence. And I do know what silence means. You said you don't like noise, you like solitude ... so that's what we're giving you. Then why the problem? We're just doing what you want.
Having made her point quietly, eloquently, she leaves. Leaving him frustrated as hell.
Was he also frustrated because she got the last word for once? And that she left him, not the other way around?
Totally loved Sanaya in the kitchen scene ... her eyes speak, they really do! Her eyes, her gestures, the way she gestures when he says why are you not speaking, as though to say, isn't that what you wanted? all subtle, nothing overdone ... cvs, please keep this Khushi now, not the OTT one!

Arnav goes up with plate for Anjali ... the rest are ecstatic ... plan working!
Anjali bitiya is not crying or hungry. She's tucking into her food. Gets rid of plate hurriedly when Arnav comes in and tries frantically to finish her mouthful ... again, have to repeat the entire cast is really good! Anjali was hilarious!
The only thing irritating was that canned laughter.
Arnav really distressed that Anjali is not talking to him ... awww, poor guy! The one thing he can't take ... well, one of two, he can't take Khushi not talking to him either, but wild horses won't get him to admit that!
Anjali almost melts, she adores her younger brother too, and can't see him upset for too long. But the family spur her on ... no, she can't give way, not yet.
Arnav gives way remarkably quickly ... okay, have the sangeet if you want, just don't go hungry.

2. Arhi convos in his room and in the kitchen too place privately with no NK - Back to the good old days, our convos are our secrets, no trespassing allowed.
3. Fantastically talented ensemble this show has, during the silence scene, there was not a single actor who got his or her own expressions wrong.
4. Kitchen convo of Arhi - Our khushi back - I am doing exactly what you like, then what is the problem?
5. Arnav - Anjali scene - always a treat to watch.
6. Arnav finally catching on to what is happening - Nice touch.
7. Lakshmi - No particular reason, prefer the Goat to Snake anyday.
Arhi moment: She tells him to hit her, he looks at her, gets lost again and tells her softly, forget it, you won't be able to bear the pain..She opens her eyes shocked, realizes he is too close to her, the proximity affects her, takes a step back, it is almost like how his closeness affected what seems like a lifetime ago and before she can process and react -
ODB opens his mouth and says the most romantic thing a guy can say to her - I don't even think about you, Stop overestimating your importance in my life ( ya ya I know he is in denial mode and expertly lying), but after that do you really expect the girl to feel anything romantic towards him now?
Lessons learnt -
Arnav got over Khushi in a saree fixation ever since she wore a blue one, So khushi always stick to Red.
Now what pulls him towards her is the flying strand of hair (since dupatta refuses to fly these days )and her closed eyes (Khushi remember the hide and seek game with OP ? Ya hunt for that patti and roam around Gandhari Style).
After the close proximity, whenever Khushi opens her eyes, instead of a connection that we so want them to feel, what happens is a Short Circuit and ODB opens his mouth we get sucked into a Game show where we are going to be the losers either way and ofcourse his You dont mean a world to me which in reality means till Khushi figures it out is You are my world.
Arnav can't handle silence especially from Khushi.
Just saying:
Arnav cancelling the Sangeet as he does not like noise etc.. Okay if so, didn't he earlier know what a Sangeet involved in the first place? Plz don't tell me he did not attend Anjali's Sangeet for the same reason? Even for a moment, let us say he has no clue what a sangeet is, why did he nominate NK then. Didn't he know, Sangeet involves Dance and obviously music...Unless he thought the sangeet was performed with headphones on? He did not like it, okay fine. Then why ruin it for the other members of the family and what about Payal's family, it is their daughter's marriage, don't they have a say? I wish CVs had thought of something better than this cancelling of Sangeet thing, cos it is very lame and ASR is not lame.
Did Khushi manipulate the R family? I don't think so, there is a marriage, you would expect some celebration, though the RM no way resemebles a shaadi ka house now (cost cutting ki bhi had hoti hai). And all of them want to enjoy the marriage. And most importantly, why do the R family gets manipulated in the first place. They are all older to her, what is stopping any one of the members from saying, stop interfering Khushi.
This whole mosquito, thappad, cancelling sangeet, finally going ahead with the sangeet doesn't make much sense at all to me.
Ya, I liked the episode cos it was fantastically enacted and my hopes of the old ASR-Khushi story getting back on track is up..atleast today.. Tomorrow is another day.

Oh dear, OMGEEEE, poor sad pathetic Arnav Singh Raizada ... that he can't get peace and quiet in his house when he wants it ... I feel soooo sorry for him being manipulated by a chit of an 18 year old girl and his own sister ...
No matter that it's his brother's sangeet and not his own ...
No matter that the rest of the family was looking forward to the celebrations and had been practising for it for days ...
No matter that when it was his DI's wedding he went for the sangeet without any fuss at all, according to Anjali ... but now suddenly he has developed a headache .. . I thought that was the prerogative of ladies :(
No matter that earlier he had no objection to the sangeet, but only to his own participation, and he had himself proposed NK's name as his replacement ...
No matter that the sangeet was to be a joint function, and maybe ... just maybe ... the girl's side has some feelings on the matter also ... but they are the girl's side, right ... what do they matter .. in fact, what do the feelings of anyone in either family matter ... HE doesn't want the sangeet and so it will not take place ...
Let Arnav Singh Raizada stay cocooned in his own world with his own rules in place, and no one dare try to break them ... because after all, ASR is the perfect one!!!
As for the whole sangeet thing, I don't know why they did it, but then we just have to wait and watch, right ... and a wedding can't go off smoothly in tellyland! Maybe they did it to prolong the wedding drama, maybe it was to build up the awareness between Arnav and Khushi again ... because I do see it happening from her end again ... the only problem is, like you said, he spoils it every time he opens his mouth!!!
Again, I don't understand why it's called manipulating ... you can reason with someone when they have some reason for what they do. Did Arnav have ANY valid reason for cancelling the sangeet at the last minute, after agreeing to it himself? Heck, he didn't even agree to it as such, sangeet is one of the main wedding functions, and one of those most looked forward to, because everyone enjoys the raunaq!

ReplyDeleteIMHO, What Shyam does, tha is manipulating.
She wants Sangeet for her sister's wedding, is that a crime. When Arnav said, he will not dance, and added that totally unnecessary especially with her, Did She go after him to change his mind. She left him to his choice even though that added remark was not exactly complementary. Now she feels guilty because she rightly thinks his cancelling his due to his anger on her.
And why do the R family gets manipulated..Naani, Maami all can say butt out khushi, yeh hamara family matter hai. After Anjali's marriage, this will be the second marriage in the family and the family wants to have fun, is that a crime?
I think the whole machchar thappad sangeet thing is to get them on opposite sides like the old days while bringing back the awareness they shared. That is the only explanation I can think of for this stupidity.
And I thought the episode was good. One of the better ones we have had in the past few weeks.

Yep, I really liked the episode too ... Snake is back tonight though. I think the Arnav-Khushi relationship is not being allowed to build purposely until the next installment of Shyam and his antics.
Arhi moment - Arnav saves his softness for when Khushi can't see it ... sleeping, unconscious or eyes closed. Read a hilarious statement on the forum somewhere, Khushi opened her eyes and 'spoiled' the moment ... like really?! :-o So is she supposed to keep her eyes tight shut throughout courtship? Your Gandhari style patti seems like a good idea then!

Manipulating the Raizada family ... they were all upset about the cancellation ... it was completely arbitrary and uncalled for ... they took part in the drama enthusiastically and happily, knowing exactly what they were doing ... is that manipulation?
Sangeet is an integral part of the shaadi ka rituals, by cancelling it, JUST for his own private war with Khushi, Arnav was being a complete prick (sorry to say :P , I could use even stronger words) ... he did it for one reason and one reason only ... his challenge to Khushi and the fact that he can't stand to lose. So he plays dirty, uses his power over his family ... she plays dirty back, uses their feelings ... for something which THEY all want, not what SHE alone wants ...
Agree with you the whole thing is to get them back as adversaries before the shaadi functions start and bring back the awareness, but also leading to something on the Shyam front.

Yep, the forum is full of 'ASR is perfect and why has Khushi not fallen for him yet' fans ... apparently they can't stand ASR falling first, God knows why.
I agree Khushi is OTT at many times ... that's part of her character, the part I like least, to be honest ... For example the entire Yaalgar bit, I was cringing. But today, she wasn't OTT at all, she was poised, calm and controlled. Which is why I liked her.

ReplyDeletethe whole maun vrath was good........everyone supported very well.....i didn't find it manipulating....they were all wondering what to do, and khushi just came up with a plan....just like during the office track she thought of a plan to measure the body builders...and This time Anjali supported her, didn't she...but i know today, ASR will only blast Khushi, or maybe Nani but not Anjali....she will go scot-free.....anyways......
loved both the private convos between ArHi.....you know the reason i felt we have lost the intensity is also cause NK is hovering around Khushi all the time nowadays......earlier though LA was there, she was not always around Arnav, so they used to get their private moments......
You really think it must be snake in tonite's episode.....cause he hasn't shown his evil side to khushi and her family yet....so m not sure.....i think it must be one of the gupta's relatives and buaji is just over-reacting.....

I loved yesterday's episode....for couple of things..........
1. Intensity is slowly coming back.
2. Silent Khushi (heaven.....please don't make her get loud again...)
3. Arnav talking most of the time (dreamy....white and black combination looks so good on him..)
4.Nani and her gestures (man! you can see those trained dancer grace in all actions)
5.Mami and her Lucknovi hinglish (humara bhi kaan mein phusphusayidev...nice)
6.And cutie pie NK (missed his hinglish)
7.Arnav remembered he has office (finally :O)
First scene, when Arnav says "Mardoon?....chodo...rehnedoo...tun seh nahi pavogi....", Khushi opens her eyes and realizes Arnav so close to her. This was beautifully expressed by SI with her eyes. She really has upper hand during sensitive scenes. Realizing how close he is, she steps back immediately. Were Arnav's soft eyes trying to say something else that confused Khushi? . Then Arnav is back being ASR and goes on "I don't care..." stuff. Kitchen scene, Khushi's gestures too good. I felt bad for Arnav though. Poor guy, can't have his way any more in his own house. :) . There was a time HP, OP, and all other Prakashs used to be so cared of ASR, there comes a girl, not only takes his world by storm, influences his family so much , influences his servant staff so much that everyone is following her tune. But again, without her madness, ASR would have been prison as you rightly put it.
But now, when will ASR move away, keep ego at bay to have Arnav come forward and admit. How are CVs planning to bring that realization? I really wonder. Khushi sure knows she has feelings. But I don't like that fact that they both act as if no intimate moments ever happened between them. There is no trace of acknowledgement or even feel little embarrassed about it. Don't you think it's little strange? She coming with all values that are shown, her earlier close proximity should have brought some hesitation when it comes dealing with Arnav/ASR? I don't see a trace of it. Day by day, I am concluding both are hopeless :) and this will probably go for another 100 episodes.
When do you think Shyam's truth is going to come out? There is this maha episode I heard? I am hoping it should be to reveal Shyam's truth and not for Sangeet. Also what LM on face book saying big band stuff? What you all think that is about?
Geeta: I love that bg music too..more than RV, I enjoy that music that was played when she leaves her payal during the party and he just looks softly at her either and even during the blood stain removal thing..somehow that is the music for them..for me.
ReplyDelete@Dia: I read khushi is mean and arnav is not, *head desk*. Both can be mean or suffer from foot and mouth disease on any given day. Both are equally guilty, both are different and yet same in so many ways.
And I personally found the kitchen scene much more fab than the room scene. I loved the room scene too, barun was very good, but ODB opened his mouth. And in kitchen, ODG keeping quiet did the trick for me.
And loved the post yaar, i am still grinning.
@Deepa: at mellowed khushi, oh yeah..want more of that. And the lack of FBs from both sides, they both had a break up even though they did not love either shyam/la..something like that does affect you. So the RV getting a sabbatical was a good move by the CV.
Now Arnav first needs to start having those FBs..he already is moving forward I feel, the softening of his eyes and face so he will be ahead. For khushi it will be not that easy, cos ever since the diwali even till yesterday, he has been reiterating the same point, you dont matter to me, You are nothing etc..doesn;t help.
@Dia: Like you said, khushi is not a mind reader, she is simple and straightforward as they come. He is a complex guy and she is trying to figure him out, asks him even, help me to understand you, and what he does effectively shuts her up.
I hope one of these days, anajali lets on to khushi what she and arnav went through in childhood to give her an idea of where he is coming from. She is the only one who has not yet given up hope on him, rest of his family have reconciled to this masked Arnav.

Coming to ipk...i adore the small touches where arnav khushi behave like husband - wife...wonder if the CVS actually intend it to look like that or is it pure chemistry b/w sarun...well, whoever it is, atleast we get something meaningful amidst all the comedy :)
As for ur side note Diya, I was thinking something similar..onve they arr married khushi will always have an or trick to deal with all his unreasonable tantrums..that too in her own crazy way...he'll never have a dull moment..or wot he calls, 'peace'..rofl
hey gals.......had to mention it here.......just saw the episode again.......have always loved loved loved the way sanaya's eyes express her emotions....but today, when Arnav says rehne do and she opens her eyes and looks at him...the unexpected realisation that he was so close to her....was portrayed beautifully by Sanaya.....

Deepa, I agree completely - don't want the loud OTT Khushi , she can be bubbly and chirpy without being so loud as she was in the last two episodes. Now I feel even Sanaya was not happy with those scenes, Wednesday was much more vintage Sanaya, with the low modulated tones, especially in the kitchen scene, loved that one!
First scene - SI was fantastic, she gets that look in her eyes beautifully, JUST PERFECT! And BS was also good, his eyes remained soft ... although his words were back to "I don't care about you ..." Khushi has to start reading his eyes at some point, and realising that he doesn't mean a word he says to her.
I think ASR might move towards some realisation, fighting it all the way, and then the Shyam truth will hit ... oh well, I've been saying that since the start of the show, till now nothing has happened! So don't go by my predictions! =))
Well, I think Khushi has definitely blocked out the Diwali moments completely - if you see right after that, she had her heart broken pretty comprehensively, followed by 'farak padta hai', where again he was brutal ... Arnav hasn't shown her his soft side for ages -plus they were both engaged as well! So I don't blame her for blocking him off - and I think after both the engagements broke, they are building back that awareness now slowly and steadily - we saw a start on NYE when they met at 12 - the first RV, then after bua goes out, he looks at her sleeping and she gets up all embarrassed - it has to happen slowly, and I think that's exactly what the cv's are doing.
LM's big bang - dunno ... my guess would be the first scene today ... it was a good intense scene after ages.

Oh yes, Arnav will never have a dull moment after marriage, that's for sure =)) I loved the kitchen scene, they were totally husband-wife there, Sanaya's expressions in her eyes were simply fabulous - and after ages, I saw the Gunjan-type subtlety there ... just loved it!!! Even the first scene, her eyes when she opens them and sees Arnav so close ... :">
not sure bt the new entry....wedding is near so maybe possible....but i feel its not shyam....and the precap is misleading just the way it has been earlier.....

A fabulous episode, Khushi is toned down, ASR is his usual smug self, Shyam looked as if 12 bajen hain..And STAR of the day Totally bajaoofied Shyam today.
And NK for jealousy, ha..what does Arnav do, water the plants. ODB Ko zor ka jhatka padega tabhi kuch karega.
Oh and yes yes yes, I think I am write, all this is just for Arhi to come back on track, be their old bickering self, the physical comfort is back when they touch each other is back...He kept a hand on her shoulder, though earlier he would have pulled her towards him (note to self - be patient, that is round the corner too) and Khushi supporting Arnav when he fell..Awesome Epi ya..
After the Nonesense DECEMBER, Jan is finally making some sense...Dunno If I made any sense here though, lol.

Dont even go to the forum before watching..That is the best you can do to enjoy the show.. Though I admit her Haar comment to NK was a bit odd, maybe she was referring to the competition, dunno, will wait to see your take on it..But come on, look at the family they are all so excited, cant believe he wanted to take that away from them..both are at faults, so okay..

ReplyDeleteI want KKG to lose the sangeet competition, I want her to give it up for him..Remember her Aap haartay bahut hain Mr.Raizada dialogue, I want her to remember that and know he cannot handle defeat much less from her...And I want him to know that she did it for him..I WOULD love to see that happen. If he can go any lengths for her, so can she.
