Mondays are always slow in IPK land and this one was no different. Left me with two impressions ... if Arnav would make even the slightest move towards Khushi, she would be in his arms in no time. But the guy is only runnin', runnin' ... every move she makes, he promptly negates.
And the current tracks on right now ... Arnav's realisation building up, but he won't do anything about it until ...
Shyam's truth is revealed ...
On Friday, Khushi reached out to Arnav, asked him, why are you like this, why do you hide your feelings from the world, why do you hide from love ...
And he showed her a tiny glimpse of his real self, and then quickly hid it under a jibe about her 'dimaag'.
His first retreat. One opportunity lost ... Khushi is not the type to cry when someone insults her, least of all Arnav, so she immediately came back fighting, and the moment was gone.
On Monday, I thought the moment Buaji left, Khushi would be up immediately and pushing Arnav out of her bed ... to my surprise, she did nothing of the sort ... she stayed scrunched up under the blanket, as far from him as she could be, eyes tightly shut, as though waiting for him to explode ... scared of his anger because she had forced him to hide, but also very aware of the man beside her ... uncomfortably aware, yet not scared of the man himself ...
It was Arnav who bounced up as soon as Buaji left, ready to blast ... and then he got sidetracked at the sight of Khushi, so obviously scared of what he was going to say, looking innocent as a child ... and he got carried away again as he reached out to touch her hair ...
It's a real pity that all Arnav's tender moments come when Khushi is either asleep, unconscious or has her eyes shut ...
And even when she sensed, rather than felt his touch, Khushi didn't start shouting ... she sat up in a hurry, thoroughly embarrassed and again, aware of the man ... and they actually shared a moment when both were very aware of each other, and of the situation they were both in - together in her bed ... and again, Arnav retreated promptly. Again with a jibe ... a completely out of the blue remark about who won and who lost.
When was this seeing each other at midnight about winning and losing?! Shows that Arnav is beginning to lose control again as far as Khushi is concerned, but this time he's fighting it all the way, and as a result, Khushi is completely clueless about what's going on in his mind. I actually don't remember the last time he was even slightly tender with her .. wait, that would be when he asked her what was wrong and if her fiance had hurt her. After that, it's been brusque all the way.
And at the risk of sounding childish, this time, honestly, he started it! With that remark about her coming in front of him and spoiling his new year ... obviously Khushi had to give it back, quite truthfully this time - he came in front of her!!! And then he makes it about winning and losing ...
More nokjhok, then Bujai's voice cuts it short and they realise they're still in bed arguing, and hurriedly try to get out ... Khushi kurta stuck in his watch, Akash calls, Arnav wrenches his hand free and gets his next keepsake - a piece of gota. And that makes him think he won ... somehow, don't quite know how or why.
Seems like Arnav is getting rapidly infected by Khushi's childishness - his lost childhood coming back. That last speech was totally 13 year old stuff! But then, maybe that's what the cv's want to show. Arnav lost his childhood completely when he had to grow up so suddenly ... hide his feelings, his emotions, win every time because losing was not an option ... it was serious business. Now it's suddenly a game again ... he wants to win, because of his ego, of course, but he can actually enjoy playing the game this time.
And it shows in his exasperation in the car ... how could he go in front of her after declaring to her so grandly that he was sure she would come in front of him ... all Akash's fault ... much to the bewilderment of Akash ... why is it so important to you, bhai, when you don't even believe in all this?
Because he lost to her ... that's why! =)) Ego raising its ugly head again! And Akash is completely flummoxed still ... but why is that so important?!
=)) Arnav is back to 8th grade or so, I would think!
Khushi back to teasing Payal ... very pertinent question ... do you both even talk, or just go Payalji, Akashji all the time!
Then Payal notices Khushi's torn kurta and Khushi's annoyance is back ... I lost to him ...
Payal asked a very pertinent question, one which I've also been asking ... where is the win and lose in all this?
And Khushi makes a grand declaration that she will win against ASR, come what may.
Payal's oneliner - her first really good one ... when you're done with your inteqam ki aag business, switch the light off and go to sleep.
Akash apologises, he would have taken NK ...
Really? Guess where NK was! Adding fuel to Arnav's fire in Khushi's house, that's where.
NK in pink pajamas, sniffing at a rose fondly ... this guy is uber cute!
So the brothers march into his room ... how's your jetlag?
NK suddenly remembers ... very bad ... so I went for a small walk ...
Arnav gritting his teeth ... small walk right up to Khushi's house?
Why are you so bothered, Arnav? =))
NK denies it completely, Arnav says you went there and gave her bua flowers too.
NK clarifies - The flowers were for Khushi ...
Oops, busted!

NK sunnily explains facts of life to glowering Arnav ... when a young boy goes to meet a young girl, guess why ... right, Akash?
Akash bashfully agrees ... then scared again at Arnav's scowl.
Can one of the brothers ask Arnav why he's so annoyed about NK visiting Khushi?
NK firm in his denials, Arnav mutters "First time I'm saying this for someone other than Khushi - unbelievable!"
NK thinks ... dal dal bach gaye! =)) and goes back to his dreams of Khushi.
Shyam-Anjali ... why didn't they see each other at 12, anyway? Thought they were stuck to each other. Anajli back to her dreamland ... Shyam says we'll look at each other now ... she looks at him, he looks at picture of Khushi in his mobile ...
Arnav distraught about Anjali's near-miss with the wire ... Shyam says Anjali is getting careless, Arnav agrees. Anjali calms him down, asks where he was, at a party?
Arnav remembers where he was, and goes off without another word.
Khushi doing laundry, sees her torn kurta and gets angry all over again ... and finally remembers her Devi Maiyya. Stop testing me!
Didn't like the last bit, with Khushi's elaan-e-jung ... too OTT! So get ready for girls vs boys in Sangeet. And the machar ... :(
So the cv's seem to be slowly, very slowly rebuilding the Arnav-Khushi awareness again ... while leading to something on the Shyam front ... because that is the only thing that might stir Arnav to some action.

ReplyDeleteTotally with you on this. Arnav ruined it for me totally. Why couldnt he just shut up, Khushi didnt even look like she was going to rant or say anything..She after a long time looked like the Khushi we know, aware of him, his feelings, how she feels drawn towards him and BAM..Game show starts..I swear I wanted to scream SHUT UP ASR. Let her and us enjoy the moment. Another beautiful moment lost.
@Khushi reaching out: Well in ASR style, " What else has she been doing all along?"
She asked him why are you like this, she keeps trying to talk sense to him especially during his sudden decision to get engaged to la the next day. Didnt she in her own way reach out to him knowing fully well, anything romantic was out of the question for him. Yet she cared about him enough to talk sense, think of her, her family or during the dress fiasco when he yelled at La, Your words hurt and hurt the most especially the ppl who love you. She wants the best for him, she is trying to reach out to him in more ways than one. The dance whatever happens, it is her way of telling him to have fun.
Everytime she gets stopped in tracks by him, his words, his actions. And when he reaches out like you so correctly pointed out either she is asleep or closing her eyes.
SO unless ODB does something concrete, neither of them will move and their love story would not budge an inch.
And again totally with you, unless she is threatened by Shyam in someway, he will simply keep quiet and watch. If at he says something it will be the wrong things to the wrong person(s).
My guess is somehow Shyam will try to come to close to khushi, I expect khushi to look ravishing that day, Shyam might give some excuse and pass it off as some misunderstanding thinking she was anjali or something, Khushi will be shaken and Arnav's antennae will be finally up.
The three bromance scenes are always fun and I loved how he said Why did you go there, that was too good and I expected akash to atleast say koi baat nahin bhai, jaane do, NK is perfect for Khushi or something of that sort.
You know the Nainital trip had the almost perfection combination of humor and passion between the leads, why cant they take that route instead of taking fultoo comedy.
I posted in Sush's thread(page 6) on how I actually expected ASR's confession, it is a short video of one of my fav shows and moments. Dont have much hopes having it that way. Somehow I imagined Khushi hating or being in absolutely down with all the troubles, he then realizes how much her happiness and her sadness affects him, how he can never tolerate anyone getting close to her besides him and woo her in full ASR style.
Let us see the back with a bang moment brings.

Shwetha, I am waiting for Akash to ask Arnav ... if NK likes Khushi, why are you going so ballistic! Don't you think they make a good pair?
ReplyDeleteWant to see Arnav's reaction to that one! And see how he supports Mami when she thumbs down that rishta, and tries to make excuses for his refusal! But what's the betting that even then no one in his intelligent family will guess why he's so belligerent!
I really hope that happens too - what you said about Shyam and Khushi - that he tries to get close to her, and Khushi gets shaken enough for Arnav to notice ... so he starts some fact-finding ... I really want him to find out about Shyam on his own, not through Khushi. I mean in a way that he doesn't end up blaming Khushi ... though I'm very sure that for a while at least, he will.
But maybe this Shyam track might lead to that? The way Arnav got worried about Anjali's near-accident ... if Shyam makes a few more of those near-misses, wouldn't Arnav start getting suspicious? And if it was coupled with Khushi's reactions to Shyam, her discomfort, then the next person to learn Shyam's truth would definitely be Arnav. I really hope that's the next track, and NK is there just to build up Arnav's jealousy so that he starts taking notice of Khushi's feelings, to try and figure out whether she likes NK as well ... then he starts noticing how uncomfortable she is around Shyam.
Ok, I'm expecting things again ... will stop! =))
Liked the episode today..Looks like they are trying to balance the comedy with Arhi moments, well the arnav's bg music is back and he as usual melts at khushi's tears..But this time I dont think that will work and that is why they use Anjali.

There were some nice one liners too from him and bua...Did you catch the IF on location video? Daljeet the cast is getting jittery & excited thinking of what is ahead, apparantly there is lots of twists and turns..I hope she was not referring to the twists and turns of mamiji & buaji in sangeet.
A good epi though wont be surprised if ppl find KKG didnt feel guilty enough..Well ASR was being scrooge, so that should even out right:)
Diya, forgot to add, I would love if Akash says that..Infact he should say that during sangeet, both are such nutters, made for each other and wonder where the fume is coming from?
ReplyDeleteYes that is a good point, Arnav should first start wondering why his Di is suddenly so accident prone and also notices the entire Gupta family especially Khushi who mingles so freely with his own family is extremely reluctant around Shyam.
I have my hopes set on Arnav and khushi trying to trap Shyam.
I hope it is parallel..some slip from shyam and Arnav wonders, Jijaji why would he do that..and then Khushi realizes that Shyam is trying to harm Anjali and tells arnav about Shyam.
And in the meantime, I also want Anjali to start having menthos moment so when the confrontation happens and she realizes how much Arnav and Khushi care for her, she takes strength from that and throws Shyam out.
