So the entire junta party files in, looking like errant schoolkids in front of strict headmaster, NK asks if the drama is over and they can talk now ... everyone starts laughing nervously, Nani is happy Arnav changed his mind, and in the face of the obvious enthusiasm for the sangeet in his own family members, Arnav can't say any more ... Round One to KKG!
Didn't understand why she talked about haar-jeet with NK ... he doesn't know about her challenge with Arnav, does he? But despite being on the boys' side, he's very much on KKG's team - let Arnavji lose!
And Arnav accepts the challenge - okay, round one to her, but don't talk about victory yet - that's premature, because he is so gonna win. Wait for the day of the sangeet!

How dare she what? Walk away from him before he's done? Old habit of hers, Arnav, don't you know? And one which riles him every single time.
Before he can say anything further, Nani and Anjali come in with the prize for the sangeet - a Nataraja murthi.
Lots of little nuances here ... Arnav and Khushi totally lost in each other and their private war, Shyam lost in Khushi, bumps into Anjali, so Khushi notices him and realises he was looking at her, her discomfort shows, Nani asks Arnav and Khushi to sit and Khushi sits promptly next to NK, who gazes at her worshipfully again, Arnav glares yet again ... both for her ignoring him and for sitting next to NK ... And Shyam sees her sitting next to NK, but not the byplay between Arnav and Khushi ... so likely he might think there's something between NK and Khushi, but won't suspect the truth about Arhi yet ...
Nani announces the prize for the dance - her Nataraj murthi - Khushi declares she will win it, Mami challenges her, so does Anjali ... the competitive spirit rising :) ... Arnav, of course is doing what he does best ... glowering! For him, it's more than just a competition, it's a question of his ego and pride - he challenged her, so of course he has to win!
Shyam tries to talk to Khushi, she ignores him completely and leaves. NK escorts her to the door ... Arnav glowers again! And he actually goes after Khushi this time ... While Shyam angry at Khushi's ignoring him also glowers and determines to do something again to get her back into his life.
Arnav wants to talk to Khushi ... she doesn't, so she runs. :P
GH - Khushi forcing exhausted Buaji to practice, so enthusiastic are the two that they forgot all about cooking lunch! This part was damn cute ... I so often forget to cook or eat when I'm engrossed in something! :P Loved Buaji's guilty expressions!

In the meantime, NK calling Khushi and doing an Akash - keeps cutting the phone when Khushi picks up! =)) And Arnav arrives to water his flowers ... stays glued there when he realises whom NK is calling ... and what does Arnav do? Glower, of course!!! =))
Liked Arnav's expressions when NK was talking to Khushi ... drinking in each word, every nugget of information as to what she was doing, and the final one as NK leaves, his quizzical look, what are you up to? NK leaves, just as Khushi, puzzled why he called at all, calls back ... and Arnav picks up. Khushi goes speechless. :">
Best scene - Buaji drags Shyam by the collar, and BLASTS him =D> =D> =D> GO, Buaji!!! After all the grief you gave Khushi, this is the least you can do, and your way of making up to her! And what a great way! And she warns him, don't you dare to show your face in this house or this neighbourhood again!

Bua - Rockstar of today..I knew she could take him single handed and she did and how. Go Bua Go!!
Yippe, I was right ( I am rarely right when it comes to the shows I watch, So please allow me this moment)..The whole Sangeet Cancelling, Slap Fiasco is to get Arhi back to their old turf again. Now the battle is between Shaadi & the Celebrations ( Does it make sense, may be not, but I wouldn't even mind them arguing about what came chicken or egg, so long as the signs are evident that the chemistry is back.
The physical comfort is back too. He touches her shoulder (okay so he didn't pull her towards him as he usually does, Koi baat nahin that is around the corner too) And she supports him when he trips ( Aha, role reversal for a change).. Thing to be noted both didn't flinch or looked uncomfortable.
Loved that the moment they got the green signal every single member of the R family is all excited and have started preparing including surprise surprise Mami.
Didn't get How dare you part & khushi running away from him part. Will the phone convo continue tomorrow.
Loled at Arnav to NK, If you dont want to/or dunno what to talk to her, Why did you call her?
Looooved Sanaya as Mami...we were already given in the interviews that it is going to happen, she Rockked ya, So looking forward to tomorrow.
Arhi convo ..Loved the smile in his eyes when she talked on how the argument would continue..Awwwww..She takes a dig at his WT..He makes a dig at her tendency to TF..Still loved it...From nonsense arguments to sensible arguments..That is coming for sure. And when she talks about how good the Natarajar would look in her room, he shakes his head, yeh nahi sudhregi. Challenges, counter challenges..Looking forward to that.
Snake - Does he really think he is in love with her? Most confused and confusing villain ever?
And I wished NK had made that kamar wala remark when Arnav was around, I would have loved to see arnav's expression there.
Oh good you made the post, will come back and comment later. BTW, Feeling adventurous so made a post in the forum on the lack of intensity, plz do check.
ReplyDeleteShwetha! :) Me too ... enjoyed it completely. The old intensity and charm is slowly coming back ... probably helps that I avoid IF pretty thoroughly now, except for two people's posts =))
ReplyDeleteYap, you were right, this is all about getting Arhi back as adversaries again. But Shwetha, this time on a totally different footing ... in the office track, she was a nobody challenging the mighty ASR, and there was deliberate cruelty and viciousness in the battles, and a major power imbalance. A rishta between them was out of the question, because she was so much lower in social status.
Now the equations have changed ... she faces him as an equal, they are related by marriage (not their own yet;) ) ... and while earlier she was alone and defenceless, now she has the support and the love of his family. And his viciousness is gone for good, although his ego hasn't, but there is no way he will expose her to any real danger now ... although he WILL keep throwing challenges at her!
And agree about that little moment of physical closeness ... both the touch on the shoulder as well as the stumble and fall ... that comfort is back ... :"> Am waiting for more ... and more ... and more!!! Besharam me!!! :P
The how dare you ... I was confused about it too ... maybe like I said, how dare she leave the conversation, that's HIS prerogative, remember? He always hates it when she leaves him and goes, he has to get the last word! Again his ego. But at the end of the last scene, his smirk was definitely softer, as though ready for the challenge ... the same during the Nataraj scene - almost indulgent at her excitement. It helped that Mami and Anjali were all gung ho about the competition also, all getting into the competitive spirit!
Loved Barun's expressions during the NK scene ... I hope we get a continuation of the phone convo tomorrow ... even if only for him to take a dig at her for not talking. Khushi continues to be clueless about NK =))
The cv's are making sure Shyam has no inkling about Arhi, they're setting up for him to think about NK-Khushi ... let's see where they take this, and what Shyam actually does ... if anything.
Khushi as Mami ROCKED ... after watching Nani and Anjali try to imitate her, I realised Khushi actually does it the best! Sanaya is really good at it! Must be taking lessons from Utkarsha! :P

ReplyDeleteliking the episodes now, with ArHi private eye talk, in-between the whole crowd....makes us feel their special bond......i loved the way she said, that 'don't be scared to fall, as i will there to hold you' like a promise to always be there for him.....also the way she held him when he tripped....
ReplyDeleteBua was so good........wish she would've slapped him one, but even her dhamki was good enough.....i think now, she won't allow khushi to go to RM....and hopefully Arnav will miss her........
I was expecting something more from Arnav during the Nk-Khushi phone convo....something like the day when he tried to call her for payash, but cudn't get through......maybe right now its more irritation then jealousy...maybe if the family starts talking bt NK-Khushi wedding then there might be some more jealousy from Arnav.....
bt shyam not knowing bt Arhi......even during the dance practice Rabba-ve..Shyam was absent without reason....so they are planning to put it as a bomb for shyam, just like payash was......so that he can't do anything to get them apart.....i think he will try to get NK-Khushi apart....siding with Mami and hopefully this will set Arnav's antennae on over-drive as to why he is opposing ?
all silly wishes naa..........but as of now, I am really scared for Bua....i think snake will try to harm her.....and this will show khushi how evil he actually is.....

Dunno about Barun dancing saw a WU of e24 segment, that apparantly they are going to SING*SHOCKED* ..Okay plz answer me how are they going to pass off Sonu Nigam or Udit Narayan's voice as ASR's *rofl*..Though apparantly Barun is a good singer, read it somewhere...
Uff and assuming it will be sangeet and here we were hoping for a dance, kahani may twist..Let me wait for more confirmation on this.
And her arguing both sides was awesome,loved barun's expression, face annoyed, trying not to smile and yet softness in the eyes.
TFC..again too damn cute. He didn't yank her hand off like he did in Farak padta hai track..So both okay with being touched by the other, one more step forward.
I didn;t get get the Dont you dare part though, unless he wanted to prolong their convo and why do it when everyone was present? LOOOVED HER KYA, lol. Her running away was too cute too.

So much happened on the show with Arhi, then why do ppl keep grumbling where are the leads, the focus is not on them.
I thought yesterday was NOT a comedy episode, just a feel good episode, with loads of humor and that too was not OTT. Let us see what happens.
The new tagline, khushi in trouble - I hope NK helps her out, ASR Will go nuts ki he has started overtaking him in this too.My guess is the trouble is not related to shyam or else that would have been mentioned in the tagline, more likely she gets in trouble for her maami imitation or somehting..let us see.
Geeta, I too feel Shyam will be thrown a googly with respect to Arhi. I am looking forward to arhi convo assuming they continue.

ReplyDeleteLoved today's post and all your comments. Today's episode was good. For me, it had toned down Khushi and I am liking that.
Pool side is for sure their territory and is their private space. But Arnav and Khushi both can have their private discussion even in the crowded area. I just love that. Arnav's reaction to her excitement was very nice that said "KKG...you are impossible...".
The physical touch is back but not that aggressively. Is it me or anyone else also felt, during the touch on shoulder Khushi's face showed hesitation? When Arnav trips, her sambhalofying him, and saying "aap girane se mat dariye, hum sambhalenge...", even though her dialog meant for that moment, for sure dialog writer meant to convey more.
And Dia, hum bhi besharm hain....need more of that passion and more of them coming closer scenes :)
Bua rocked the scene. It was like "sau sunar ki and ek lohar ki.." types. Shyam bituwa needs to be careful because Bua akeli hi bhari padegi....... And I love that fact that Khushi is getting back from her family all that love, care, protection that she deserves, though in little doses. Would Shyam try to harm Bua? Shyam aisa kuch kar to sakata hai.....
NK and Arnav talk, when will we get to see that jealousy burning in Arnav? NK came and in 4-5 days in fell in love with Khushi. Now he is literally head over heels. Can't Arnav see that? I am guessing RM family will initiate Khushi and NK alliance. :(
When Khushi calls back, Arnav picks up, and she goes speechless. We are yet to see what would be that convo. But I am thinking what is the possibility that Arnav over hears Bua's convo happening outside and he gets to know Khushi's ex-fiancé was already married. Bua does not mention any names but she does say "apni biwi ka to khayal karo...".
Another scene I liked was, in the hall. Khushi is standing in between NK and Arnav...we know symbolically it's a triangle. Second one, Arnav is standing in between Khushi and Shyam. Even if the director never meant to indicate any thing or convey anything, it did give out an impression that Arnav is there as wall between Khushi and Shyam..
What did not make sense to me was, when Khushi leaves, Arnav follows and Khushi runs away? I thought she had passed that phase. Khushi Kumari Gupta is unbelievable!!
And O.M.GGGGGGGGGGGGG Khushi as Mami.......SI gets it bang on!! Sooooo waiting for today's episode.
On a side note, My 5 years old daughter came to me with two black clips and asked me to put them just like how Khushi puts them near her ears! Just not adults like us, IPKKND has even has fan base in terms of kids :) and we are culprits for that!!! My 11 year old son came and said "mom you spending wayyyy too much time on this serial now..."
Hey Diyu......i think khushi changed after ASR saw her in the mami getup......thats why her hair is loose, but not in a beautiful way.....

ReplyDeleteASR & Khushi were in GH. She had her green chamkili dress on and yes her hair was loose. They did have a bet. Sanaya gave the interview in her home yellow dress. So arnav didnt see her in that yet. And a bet was made. She said, If i lose I will do whatever you say. That is where things start. Good to know that they are shooting atleast 2 episodes ahead. Got this from SBB today, video should be up soon.
Diya I know right, This week it is Arhi all the way and continue to be so. If only people didnt get blinded by what they want to see rather than watching what they are seeing, did i make sense here.
Your weekly post should be a reminder to everyone that we probably had more Arhi scenes this week than the whole of december combined.

ReplyDeletejust a thought crossed my mind, that maybe Nataraj and dance are related to her mom, that's why she got so emotional.....and maybe this time Arnav will win, but will give her the price as its related to her mother....and that will change the way she looks at her.....
Geetu, I never thought of that, but you are very right!!! The Nataraj could very likely be related to her mom or her parents ... I so hope it is ... if it is, Arnav is sure to get to know at some point and then he will make sure she gets it!
ReplyDeleteShwetha, I now exactly what you mean ... people so desperately want Khushi to realise, her fb's, her to fall in love, that they don't enjoy anything they watch! It's all about what THEY want to see, and then cribbing why it's not happening! Arey, this is not your story, this is the cv's story, let them tell it the way they want, rather than place your expectations and then grumble when they don't live up to them! When you read a book, you don't keep grumbling that it should happen this way or that way - you read it till the end because that's the author's story, not yours! Sheesh!!!

I liked the Arhi interactions today except for that last one where she ran away ... felt she could have done it more gracefully, like pretended not to hear him or something ... but oh well ... as long as she is not OTT, I'm chilled!
@Deepa: I didnt note khushi standing betwen arnav & NK though did note that when she sat down, she made sure Arnav would have no other option but to take the other sofa, lol. Shyam thing, yes I did note, the wall thing didn't strike me, what came into my mind was, wow that is a convenient position to have a look at her.

I don't want Arnav to throw the competition away, I want her to do it. Arnav kept asking right kya farak padta hai, what better than this to show him that she does. Obvious things need to spelt out for ODB and this is one good way. Despite everything he has done, she still cares enough for him to throw something away what was quite important to him.
And besides, call me nuts, If he wins I am curious to know what he will ask her to do, though my guess is even if no one else knows, he will know that she tanked the dance/music whatever they will be competing.
Dia: What was the forum reaction when she did that drunkard act? I was sooooo shocked when I saw Sanaya do that..I was like, Gunjan aka Sanaya is capable of this. I still remember I wanted to see if Arnav had come looking for her? I had caught the sat repeat and the car scene was being played out. That is what made me think, I so need to watch this show.
Sorry for digressing, did the then act seemed ott for ppl? Cos if that worked then why have a problem with this? I am not a NOrth Indian, but from whatever little I have seen of sangeet onscreen, there is lot of leg pulling that goes on, so why the hue and cry over her dressed as Mami?
@shwetha........maybe she will throw away the competition and Arnav is gloating bt his win, knowing deep inside that he won because of her.....and then one fine day, he comes to know bt the value of the nataraj murti to her...and he will go all soft.....

Shwetha ... which drunkard act? The Sholay one? I think the promo came out and the forum went all holier-than-thou as usual that how can Khushi drink and then pass judgements on Arnav's living in habits ... or something strange like that ... and then the next day when the episode aired, it was very clear that she wasn't drunk, it was just an act! So they all kept quiet, and the Khushi lovers of course were happy about how well she did it! Some people found it a bit OTT, not many, though, and it definitely wasn't a huge reaction.
ReplyDeleteMy feeling is that initially Arnav was always getting the better of Khushi, so the ASR lovers were happy even if she did win over him ... but ever since Khushi has started getting the better of him regularly, starting with all the puja stunts, they have gotten steadily more defensive of their beloved ASR =)) as though they are all his mommas and the guy needs protection from the nasty scheming wicked girls out there waiting to grab him!
Ok, girls, I just had a crazy thought ... is Arnav going to SING??? In that case, isn't that totally out of character for him? So here's my thought - maybe it's something he used to do really well as a child, and stopped when he transformed into ASR ... so when he starts singing, Anjali and Nani all go weepy and maudlin that Arnav is singing after so many years ... Khushi sees another layer of the old Arnav ... or just gets so overcome at the sight of Anjali crying, and maybe Arnav also goes all soft and senti ... and Khushi sees how much it means to his family and to him ... so she lets him win. And me too ... now I want to see what his bet is!
My thought was also that it could be a music/dance - he sings, she dances ... their respective strengths - Nani being the ultimate judge can always declare it a tie! And I really like Geetu's idea of the Nataraj having something to do with her mother, and Arnav finding out about it ... later if not now. The way he did about the payal ... they brought up that it belonged to her mother much after she lost it. So I really hope that happens!!!
Urghh, I said I would stop predicting for the show ... here I go again!!! Oh well, it's just among us, it's ok! :)
If he wins, can he ask her for a kiss??? Okay, okay, he won't ... I know!!! Just suggesting!!! :)

as for the sangeet, m so very curious now...esp after watching all the sbb etc today..wot is arnav / barun going to avoid a dance this time? he did dance a lot in his prev show but defo not very comfy in boogie shoes..so maybe they'll make him do a slow dance..something that sweeps khushi off her feet - u know, starting wid his trademark smirk wid a 'try n beat me now khushi' but ending up lost himself - oh, how i wish! :))
or i do like the idea of singing, as u n shwetha suggested - only cuz i've heard barun sing in BHPH - n that was really something, esp from an actor - but yeah, i also feel that wudnt be so much in character for arnav..slow dance seems more likely to me...maybe cuz thats wot i WANT to happen..haha

I thought she was brilliant in that scene. I agree with you. See here is the thing, I dont think he does not believe in god, he has just lost faith and probably needs some sort of guide to bring the faith back. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem if he is an atheist from day one, but the way the R family goes about poojas, the way he brings all things necessary for the poojas does make me wonder. And if was really serious about it, he would have straightaway banned any sort of poojas in his house. Which is why his sangeet cancelling is baffling cos it involves the whole family. And even now none of the member including Khushi have asked him to participate, so dunno what the fuss is about.
ReplyDeleteI dont know Dia, if he would sing cos I based on the WU of the E24 Segment, and maybe the person literally translated sangeet as Music. I like what you have written that is a possibility, I think it is going to be a dance, and he will jump in after it is a tie or something.
Ha lol, He will not ask her for a kiss considering he did not ask her permission the last time, ODB just decided he wanted to kiss her and almost kissed her. And somehow He does not seem the type who will ask for a kiss that from khushi, as far he is concerned atleast what is vocal about with khushi, she does not matter to him.
I think it could be something like Promise me you will not interfere in my affairs, will butt out of my business, will not talk to me or something like that. That is as far as my imagination goes now. Unless he goes, Slap ke badly may kiss..Naah, it seems out of character, dunno.
Oh and maybe you should have a separate topic, IP ke predictions so we all can come up with our predictions, sometimes I feel our predictions are more in character and better than what is being showed.
I would love that if she inherited her dancing skills from her mom.. that would make him go awwwwwwwww

Shwetha - oh, yes, he's not an atheist by birth or even genuinely by belief. It's like he had faith as a child - he always took part in all the functions in childhood all right, remember him saying he glued the cucumber with the Bal Gopal. He lost his faith with the tragedy and the duplicity of his uncle - he basically lost faith in all good in the world.
Yep, even now HE has not been asked to take part individually - it's just that he's given permission for the function. And Shwetha, his cancelling the sangeet was not because he doesn't believe in the function or because he had a headache or any such thing - it was because of Khushi and her challenge, plain and simple. On NYE he challenged her that this whole year you will keep losing to me, and the next day Madam comes up with a sangeet competition - Khushi is no less, that girl! And sangeet and dance is her forte, so obviously ODB has to meet her challenge - and play dirty - first step - cancel the sangeet! No competition, no chance of win or lose!
