16th Jan Monday
It seems the cv's have definitely heard the complaints about Khushi becoming juvenile ... the change is so evident, so drastic ... and oh, sooo welcome!!! Loved the Arhi conversation - for once, it was a conversation between two sane, mature and sensible adults! And sexy ones at that ... the undertones in the conversation and the unspoken exchanges through eyes and expressions was simply delicious!
Shyam is a useless planner, I must say ... ek scorpion nahin sambhal sakta! =)) But can I say ... I'm glad he got into action, this sangeet promises to be interesting!
Both Arnav and Khushi worried about winning the sangeet ... much to the surprise of their siblings ... if only they knew, but of course, no one does ... :)
Random observations - No one got the tea Khushi was supposed to be making all the while, and no one seemed surprised or concerned when Arnav Khushi emerged from the kitchen together :)
What about gifts for Arnav and Akash?
*edited*
Episode begins with Guptas exchanging gifts ... honestly, this is the part I like the least in Indian weddings ... especially because taunts like Mamiji's actually do happen still, although probably couched in more polite language ... but the boy's side always has something uncomplimentary to say about the girl's gifts! So of course Mami has to hold forth on how her set is light, how the puja ki thaal is something the servants get at RM ...
Back to Arhi ... ok, can I repeat my halleluiahs that my Khushi is back? :) :) :) Or rather, my Sanaya, the one I love, low-voiced, firm, polite, graceful, dignified ... I know Khushi's character is different, but Sanaya is just so good at what she does in her mature, serious avatar, that is what I love best about her! And that's what Khushi was all about - klutzy and funny at home, but spirited and able to hold her own with Arnav Singh Raizada, business tycoon, in a way that challenged him on his own turf, not like a 16 year old! And by bringing her to that level, the cv's actually destroyed the essence of Arhi, and with that, of the show. Khushi MAKES the show, you cannot play with her character!!! So welcome back, Khushi Kumari Gupta - seeing you like this, made me realise what we were missing all these days!!!
So, Arhi - and the challenge - Arnav challenges her, what if you lose, Khushi replies, ok, if you're so sure, so am I, I'll do anything you say.
Another unwise response, but made with complete confidence ... she has full faith in her talent ... like she had full faith in her ability to work hard and do all she was asked to do in office. She will give it her all, her very best - that's what she does.
And his eyes say he's got her exactly where he wants her.
Has he even thought out what he will make her do? I don't think so ... at this point it's all about the challenge, the thrill of the game, the excitement of the chase, the competition, the sport ...
Really? Think about it.
Loved his voice modulation here, testing, challenging, a hint of daredevilry and enjoyment of the game ... and the utter confidence that he will win.
I've given my word.
For her, that's the end of the matter. She's promised, she will live up to her word. Doesn't he know that much by now? That she doesn't back off?
She's not looking at him, so she doesn't see his satisfied smirk ... you might regret it. Meaning he will make sure she does. And will enjoy doing it. Oh yes, he's enjoying the game this time around - very much indeed. She is a match for him, he knows that, and he's going to enjoy making sure she loses ... but much more than that, he's going to enjoy the game. As he's enjoying this war of words right now ...
She turns then ... I don't do anything I might regret later. As self-assured, as confident as he is ...
He nods slightly.
I'll remember that. Let's talk now only after you lose the competition ...
Momentary worry on her face at his confidence and his "when" ... has she bitten off more than she can chew? Again?
He turns to leave, then stops ... she's still standing there, the worry showing ...
Kuch bhi karogi, right?
Don't go back on your word, Khushi ... I'll remember every word you said, and make sure you remember it too.
If Khushi had any sense, she would turn and run for her life at that silky smooth predatory look and that softly threatening tone ... a man on the prowl, on the hunt ... backing her slowly and steadily into a corner from where she has no escape ...
And she seems to know it, to sense it ... her eyes fall, her face shows her uncertainty, and that unnamed pull to the man ... she looks away quickly before she shows too much, before she gets sucked in by his gaze and loses her composure ...
Kuch bhi ... although it's an agreement, her words are far more uncertain than his, her tone soft, unsteady ... what has she let herself in for?
He nods a reflective okay, and starts to leave ... stopped by her voice, more confident again ...
And what if you lose?
This is a contest between equals, Mr. Raizada, and believe it or not, there are chances of your losing too ... let's cover all eventualities, shall we?
She's already sounding like him here. :">
He looks at her as though he hadn't given that a thought. It can't happen, why bother thinking about it?
But she presses him for an answer.
If your kismat isn't on your side, then what?
The same question he asked her, tossed back to him now.
I won't lose. And kismat doesn't play a role in my plans. I make my fate myself. Confident, sure.
Her turn to shake his confidence ... that's what you said when you said I'd come in front of you on NYE, and you were the one who came. When you threw me out of a job, then had to call me back to work for you. The one who prepared a grand party, but the one who made it a success was me.
She made her point. Things don't go his way always, and she just reminded him of all the times they didn't. So maybe there is a chance she could win - not a great chance, but a chance, nonetheless. Fair's fair between equals. So this time, what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. The same rules ... the same game ... the same penalty ... if I lose, I do anything you say.
And the same reprise ... Kuch bhi? with a slight challenging lift of her eyebrows. His challenge thrown back at him.
He nods ... Kuch bhi ...
And they shake on it ... the bet is one ... let the games begin! And they have, even without knowing it, reached the stage where they can start this game without knowing the outcome, such confidence they have in the other that the outcome won't be seriously damaging. There is that trust between them ... which they don't even realise.
The most heart-touching and completely Awww moment ... the moment they hear Nani going "Bus kijiye, Manorama" and realise there's a problem elsewhere, they forget their personal fight, and are together instantly ... to check out what's happening in the rest of the house.
Akash tries to save the day, and not insult his mother in his in-laws' house ... a tough proposition, but he manages. Shyam and Anjali step in as well, Akash points out that the silver is good quality, and Arnav adds business facts into the equation, the facts of money which he knows Mami can't refute or ignore ... and Shyam ogles Khushi shamelessly, until Anjali recalls him to his senses ... Shameless Slimeball.
Have to add that Khushi was looking beautiful, though, with her loose hair over her shoulder. :"> And Raizadas leave ... arey, what happened to their tea? Maybe they thought Arhi drank it all, they were certainly in the kitchen long enough! :P
Khushi says quietly to Arnav, "we meet tomorrow" and after a last challenging look, he strides out, leaving her slightly worried again, but determined.
Night in GH - Payal worried about Mami and her taunts still, Khushi ressures her that Akash is there for her ... Payal adds that Arnav also helped, but Khushi doesn't want to hear anything good about him at all ... he's her opponent and she has to win at any cost ... that challenge is uppermost on her mind.
Payal says don't get so obsessed with winning that you do something wrong ... hope that's not a foreshadowing of something that Khushi will do.
And as Khushi sleeps that night, all her thoughts are on what he might make her do if she loses ...
Second half of the episode was devoted to the Snake and the Scorpion ... Shyam's planning needs some serious overhaul ... a scorpion? Is that the best he could come up with? Where did he even get it from? Why not a snake, wouldn't that have been easier? And does he want to cancel the wedding? Or is that just a byproduct of killing Anjali? Most of the second half went in Snake trying to hide his pet scorpion.
Anjali's hairstyle ... bad! The three guys - looking good :) Shyam's kurta was also nice - why does he get the best clothes?! Arnav needs a wardrobe change, but I guess like Khushi, his will only happen after marriage too.
Shyam's yellow plastic box ... :-/
Family pictures ...
Arnav tells NK that they have to, have to win ... is that all of Arnav's planning? Now I am very sure he will end up dancing, a close dance which will flummox Khushi ... ok, ok, I can dream, can't !?!
And Anjali's tubelight flickers very briefly ... why is Arnav so keen on winning a sangeet that he didn't even want to attend or have?! Is it because of Khushi? Of course Arnav negates Khushi's importance in his life or decision-making immediately!
Basically timepass second half, nothing much happened except for the scorpion going missing and setting up the scene for its dramatic reappearance. Actually, maybe Khushi will end up losing because of the scorpion ...
Precap - had to mention ... Nani CAN dance, saala!!! =))

Will be back with detailed comment later, but had to say this.
ReplyDelete*Dear God, plz understand this, I am asking this for a fictional character only*
LET Khushi be the one who gets poisoned. Let ODB get an idea what it would be like to really lose her.
Plz let it not be ODB who is in danger, let it be ODG.
*Godjee request over*
Random Q: How would the scorpion survive in 2 closed dibbas, the first one and the second one.
Ooooooh, How about this Shyam gets STUNG?=))
WHATTTT???? Or rather ... WHAT THE ....???? :-o
ReplyDeleteHey Shwetha....i was thinking of a twist...the scorpio will ride up Arnav's sleeve and khushi will see this and scream and jerk the scorpio of with her bare hand....in the process the scorpio will bite her... and ODB will realize that she risked her life for him and how painful it wud be to loose her....also if he carries her to the hospital, that would be sone pe suhaga....wat say.......
ReplyDeletebut i liked ur second plan more though........hehehehe
Geetu: Plz accept my virtual hug, yours is fantastic if it happens. He will know the extent she can go for him, he will be this close to losing her, She will also realize she can't lose him either, BRILLIANT.
ReplyDeleteDia: Snakewa goes Scorpion shopping...Watch the episode, another good one.
we can only dream shwetha and the cv's might come-up with a damp squib....
DeleteHeylo guys ... just watched the episode ... hmm, so Slimeball has swung into action! Must say, he's a pretty poor planner ... managed to lose his prime weapon =))
ReplyDeleteI like your predictions ... and I agree, I want Khushi to be the one endangered ... ODB should know what it might be like to lose her ... but won't that let the cat out of the bag in front of Shyam? If it does happen that way, it should stay between the two of them only, even Shyam should not know what happens to his scorpion ... what say, girls?
Hayeee, Arnav carrying Khushi to hospital, all distraught at the thought of losing her ... no, am NOT going to expect anything!!! :) For all you know, this will be another damp squib, like the rest of Snakewa's plans!
yeah Diyu....forgot that snake is around....maybe he will get another bout of allergy and sneak to his room........
ReplyDeleteweak villain, lost the weapon, seemed like he didn't want to Anjali, only doing it because the cv's asked him to :P
i was a littl upset with khushi's refusal to accept that Arnav actually shut mami up, and also indicated that the gupta's have a class for a choosing a good quality silver.....i mean its ok, if she keeps quite and doesn't praise him, but an ulta attack on him, really hurts.....maybe things will get better, if and when the scorpio attack happens..
note to self *don't raise ur and other's expectations, enjoy episode as it comes*
Epi starts with exchanging of gifts.
ReplyDeleteAnd we will never know what Shyam got, what ASR got or what Akash got?
The taunts begin from Mami, Necklace is light, The Sister of the groom gets a gift the R family usually gives to the servants and everyone simply glares.
Loved Akash today. Thank god, it is being shown that he will be the one who will rein in mami's taunts and hopefully payal's tears too.
Yes he needed his bro's help for the ristha, Now it would be his wife and his mom, he can (as he should) take care of things himself. *phew relieved*
While Akash appreciates the Thaali for sentimental reasons, ASR puts his own seal of approval by talking about the company which makes it. Enough said.
Later at the Sangeet, Mami getting insecure again, Nani playfully teases her (note the earlier anger with her gone) now you understand how I felt when you married my son.
Naani like Khushi knows Mami quite well. Khushi told Payal the other day, Mami is not that bad. And it is true, Mami is a fierce tigress when it comes to protecting the R family from the taunts of others.
Payal is still a Gupta now, the day she becomes R, she too will come under the protective blanket of Mami. She might continue to have some problem or the other with Payal, but if anyone dares to taunt her bahu, they better be prepared for the onslaught from Mami (Atleast that is how I have understood Mami's characater).
Sangeet: All dressed up and looking great (despite their dresses, which wasn't particularly great..Oh Well will get used to it).
Cute family moments.
Just like Khushi, Anjali is the only one who can make him smile and who can question his inconsistencies...Smile you are on camera, chotey, Have to Have to win in Sangeet you did not want in the first place...
Snakewa goes Scorpio shopping and returns. How did the scorpio survived in the 2 closed dibbas is beyond me (So I don't exactly watch Animal Planet)
During the photo shoot apparantly clicked by HP (No wonder he is still around, a domestic help who doubles up as a professional photographer too, wah wah), Shyam leaves the shoot in search of Scorpion, leaving Anjali with her family..A sign of things to come?
So looks like time has come for pest control in R mansion to get rid of the mosquitoes, scorpion and ofcourse the Snake.
So what will the scorpion do?
Die of suffocation?
Bite Shyam?
Bite Anjali/Khushi/Arnav or some other member
Or someone would spot it just in time?
SUSPANSE...
Saving the best for the last.
Gotcha...I am sure that is what would have been going in his mind. He lays the trap and she nicely falls into it. Looooved Barun's expressions there.
But since this is ODG we are talking about, she drags him along too.
If I lose, I will do what you say, what if you lose?
I won't lose.
Oh yeah, this from a guy who does not seem to exactly have a winning record of late and she starts out with her list.
You see, ODB, Just like you pick up a few things from her, she is learning too, at the very least keeping score.
Done. We will talk about it after the result.
My guess is we will never know who won cos before it there would be a scorpio attack.
shyam should get the jack in the box.......hehehehe
DeleteGeetu: I think for khushi, it is easier to handle ASR or LG than the nice Arnavji. When she sees that nice side of him, she is lost a bit and is also quite vulnerable to him just like post nainital up to diwali.
ReplyDeleteSo I think she does not want to acknowledge that side of him openly. It is easier for her I think and that way she stops herself from going down that road again.
Di: What if Anjali really gets bitten..that way Khushi can reach out to him..Or Khushi saves Anjali sounds even better than her saving Arnav right.
Imagine how ODB would feel, she risked her life for his sister?
Today's episode was ok. Hopefully aying the groundwork for a future 'bang'.
ReplyDeleteThe confidence that Arnav was showing, for me it seemed like he knew what exactly he will ask her. All that naughty grin and stares and reconfirming that she won't back out, only brings a question...why is he so confident? Will we get to see something that relates to his childhood? I just love that look he has on his face when he says "Kuch Bhi....?' and "Pachataogi....".
What I enjoyed most was Arnav and Khushi having an actual conversation where neither of them is raising their voices or acting silly. It seem like Arnav has suddenly become aware that he is single and being flirty and Khushi has suddenly over the week end become that old mature Khushi.
Arnav is back to again 'main apni kismat khud banatha hoon'. Oh man!! we are back to square one again???
The completion is between them, challenges are between them, but when comes to family, they unite. The identical look of "what now...or rather what the....???" when nani says "bas kijiye Manorama...", was good. They shared the same concern.
Payal and Khushi talk, Khushi blasting at the name of Arnav, did not like it. In whatever way, didn't he support Guptas? Somehow those sort of comments from sensible Khushi didn't go well. But I liked the comment "mujhe to laga tha jiji, vo mami ko factory ka sair karane le jayenge...".
Even though, she was so confident in front of him , she is hell concerned and worried about what if she loses?. What will he ask her to do?
What if he asks not show her face again? ( I personally don't think he would ask this, but Arnav bituwa kabhi kabhi non sense wala kam kar jate hain...)
Kiss perhaps? nah...
Marry him? no ways
Re join office? possible.
Really dunno..guess we got to wait and watch.
We do not know Arnav's plight yet. What if he loses? What will she ask? I am sure Khushi would ask him to do something that will make his family happy.
This is one challenge where I want neither of them loose...for a moment and next moment....... I want both of them to lose.......Sigh.
What is Shyam up to? But what a pathetic plan? Whatever it is I am sure it will help the progression of the story.
Arnav telling NK...we have to... have to ... have to win, means he is not gonna dance. Am I relieved? Yes, Arnav dancing would have been so out of character...but then means, he has no plan... does this mean this challenge is also going die just the way farak padatca hai track fell apart? I am also feeling that NK will dance from Guptas side. I am just hoping CVs use sangeet to build in some passionate rabba ves...
yeah.....i try to remember that everytime i see khushi's behaviour towards ASR.....but my first reaction is of disappointment.....but i guess once when khushi realizes that they will be together and that he means everything to her, she will take all the insults and still be happy.....thats why they are showing us this side now.........
ReplyDeletebut must say, snake's plan is ingenious *rofl* who wud've thought of buying a scorpio to kill his wife.....
i liked ur third plan as well, khushi saving anjali......then ASR will always be thankful to khushi, and when shyam's truth is revealed, her reason, that she cares for anjali, will hold more value
Geetu and Deepa, the reason Khushi doesn't want to support Arnav is exactly the same reason that he doesn't want to acknowledge to Anjali that he agreed because of Khushi ... denial! He doesn't want to admit her importance in his life, she doesn't want to admit he is a good person at heart ... because admitting that will break down their own private barriers and walls of denial, as to how much they actually like the other, how much they mean to the other.
ReplyDeleteShwetha said the same thing I meant ;)
And for me that "kuch bhi" was actually important in showing that unknowingly they have started to trust the other ... in the office bet, the terms were spelled out at the start - win or lose, resign or lose 1 lakh, now it's completely left open. And they are both nervous of the outcome, especially Khushi, but the very fact that they could leave it open-ended means that somewhere deep inside, they trust the other person deeply and completely. She knows he might try to humiliate her if she loses, but it will be in private between them only ... he just wants to win, and not lose to her because of his ego ... which means he might actually be ready to drop his ego for her if he sees it means so much to her.
Deepa, loved your take.
ReplyDeleteGeetu: Right now I am too relieved and busy enjoying the old khushi. And both Arnav & Khushi seem oddly hesitant about sharing anything with the ppl they are supposedly they are most closed to..their respective sisters. Which tells me rather assures me that whatever happens between them, their fights, their deals or whatever will stay between them only unlike Payash, where pretty much everyone knows what is going on between the two.
Dia: If Khushi wins the most she will ask him to do is go to a mandir with her and accept that It is God who makes the destiny..I am sure it has to be something to do with God.
If Arnav wins...he he..I THINK he KNOWS exactly what he wants her to do. Like Deepa said, Finally he seems to have had the Menthos moment that he is single and she is too..and the coast has never been so clear.
And he is turning the heat on...And she and we feel it too.
Replying here..Bachelerotte party sounds so much fun..I am sure if Khushi finds out Arnav is throwing one, who knows she might actually end up wearing the dress La gave, we never got to see what it was.
And gift for Arnav? I think it was there, with Mami putting the spotlight on them, R family decided let us open the rest of the gifts at RM.
I know right, Scorpion, no wonder they put the bichhoo song, weird sense of humor, must say.
did u guys, read the article on IF.......it seems Arnav is gonna dance.......m not so keen on him dancing.......
ReplyDeleteOk, let me gloat for a bit ... am I good or am I good?! :) See what I wrote above in my post ...
ReplyDelete"Arnav tells NK that they have to, have to win ... is that all of Arnav's planning? Now I am very sure he will end up dancing, a close dance which will flummox Khushi ... ok, ok, I can dream, can't !?!"
So he IS gonna dance ... and knowing Arnav, and knowing he flusters Khushi when he gets too close, AND knowing that Barun apparently isn't a great dancer, it has to be a slow, romantic number ...
Yes, I'm dreaming again :)))
DIA..Go ahead and Gloat for the whole week, After all you deserve it=))
ReplyDeleteIt has to be a slow romantic number( though do they play such things in sangeet, I thought it was all dhinka chika type of songs except maybe for the couple who are getting married?)
For 2 reasons:
1. Barun from What I understand is not the bollywood type dancer.
2. The one sure way ASR can beat khushi in dance is by making her forget her steps and what better way to do that than by holding her too close and melting her.
Oh and wrote it in the tagline thread.
What if like Khushix mentioned, Shyam's plan flops and khushi spots the scorpion in time and screams, You cheat is this how you wanted to win by slipping in a scorpion when I am dancing...Another fight and all our emotional dreams of somehow one getting hurt and the other realizing their feelings may be a flop show again.
Geetu: I DONT think Barun is either, lol.
Another misunderstanding , fight between the two(ouch)
But since I am never right with these things, we might just get an emotional scene like the one we are hoping for.
YIPEEEEEEEEEE....Looks like TB edited their article again...And guess what KHUSHI WOULD BE BITTEN..(*GODJEE..I swear I am happy cos it is a fictional character, plz try and understand, thanks*
ReplyDeleteMy HOPES ARE WAYYY UP (self notes be damned, lol)...Want to see ASR's reaction to that...Now I dont care if he dances on Pappu cant dance saala, so long as khushi gets bitten.
hahaha.......we understand Shwetha we understand....
DeleteOyeee, Godjee heard you =)) just hope TB has got their facts right ... though since they actually edited, am guessing they have. Now am hoping for a LOT to come ... some emotional scenes for sure, please Godjee, some realisation on Arnav's part ... heck, the guy almost went berserk when he thought she'd left for Lucknow, now he would almost lose her, he HAS to react!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope she doesn't accuse him of getting the scorpion ... and I DO hope Arnav starts thinking how a scorpion of all things could land up in the RM ... let his dimaag ki batti light up for once!
My hopes are up too!!! :)))
Yes, yes..on Arnav's dimaag ki batti on how a scorpion entered the home. I dont think she will accuse him, she would be in hospital critically right..
DeleteAny expert opinion on how long the scorpion poison takes effect considering, it might be a cheap and slow poisoning one keeping in mind Shyam's budgetary issues.
Dia, you are a doctor right? So Do you remember the Hospital room where Babuji was admitted, it had a picture of skeleton in it...As if to say, doctor ki baat maano, warna yehi tumhara future hai.
So that hospital thingy might be back..Even if you didnt notice Babuji's, be sure to note Khushi's assuming she gets taken to the hospital..So that would be friday cliffhanger.
Arnav & Khushi in slow dance (excuse my lack of medical knowledge), Khushi does not realize she has been bit (Creative liberty, okay, lol) and she while dancing with him, melting in his arms realizing her feelings and so does he and she faints in his arms..Or would she faint in a solo?
And what about Shyam, copy pasting here:
Awww, FINALLY one plan of Shyam will work to our advantage and his disadvantage.ROFL
Okay obviously ASR ko zor ka jhatka lagega, as far as Shyam is concerned he is in love with khushi*pukes*, so seeing her in such critical state AND him being responsible for it, you think he would give away something and blurt out AND Scold the Scorpion, You were supposed to bite my wife IDIOT And not the one I intend to marry?Wacko
Seriously though, you think the G family will suspect him or his reaction might flicker the tube light in R family too - Ki why is Shyam so overreacting to Khushi when he barely knows her?
Forget about expert medical opinions ... here only drama prevails! So scorpion bite will take as long to take effect as the cv's want ... medical opinion doesn't count here! :)
DeleteYep, I also think she will not accuse him of anything, I think she knows that he would not do anything to endanger her physically ... after all, that "kuch bhi" was all about trust, right?
I like your scenario about Khushi fainting in his arms while dancing ... and him slowly realising that it's not all due to his magnetic presence ;)
Hehe, loved your dialogue between the Snake and the Scorpion - even the animal kingdom is on Devi Maiyya's side and against Shyamuu ... but I do wonder, will Shyam give away his own worry about Khushi when his plan misfires? And will that raise Arnav's antennae?
