Monday 30th June
Rudra investigates the acid attack ... arre waah! For once, he's actually doing some investigation!
Maithili doesn't know anything ...
Aman says Tejawat is quiet and has gone across the border.
Rudra fires up at the thought that this could be the work of local insignificant goons ... for his Paro, only the most dangerous villains are acceptable!
Mohini taunts Mala that her lover is responsible for more tamasha ... Mala declares her priorities ... lover out of the window, she's on Rudra's side now.
Mohini surprised that Rudra has become 'her son' now ... Mala replies, yep, my son, nothing can change that fact. So has Mala realised that Mohini had a hand in poisoning Rudra against his mother?
BSD office ... local goons are ruled out. So who can it be?
Back home ... Mala thinks maybe Tejawat meant to attack her, Paro got hurt by mistake. Paro reassures her, nope, he's after me too. I'm a state witness against him. (Good thing she hasn't forgotten that!)
And changes her tone when Rudra enters ... please leave now.
Mala apologises to Rudra too ... maybe Tejawat meant to hurt me, Paro got hurt instead. Rudra tells her gruffly, it wasn't Tejawat behind the attack.
Paro can't keep up the pretense for too long ... offers Mala her room again ... besides, that's what Rudra had said, so she was safe in doing so. Rudra chooses wife's comfort over his mother's, but he does what he should have done ages ago ... make arrangements for Mala to stay with Sunehri. Almost calling Mala 'maasa' in the bargain. Paro smiles.
I could swear that Laila stayed in a 'guest room' ... what happened to that? Or did Sumer return and take it over?
At night, Paro finishes her milk (what happened to her allergy?) and wants to keep the glass ... Rudra runs to help. Then she wants to get up, he tells her that he will get her what she wants. She says, he can't ... Rudra is indignant at the thought that it's even possible he can't get anything his beloved biwi wants.
Paro is shy enough now to whisper to him what she wants ... uh oh, yes, that's one thing he can't get for her ... but he can take her to it.
One tiny burn on the dorsal surface of her foot ... Paro is having a field day with Major saab at her beck and call!
Rudra waiting outside the loo ... a very familiar sight for all married women! Usually the men have handbags as well :)
Paro comes out and holds out her arms for him to carry her ... he asks if she's six years old.
Paro was six when she lost her parents ... since that day, she had no one of her own. No one she could beg, cajole, scold, cry, throw tantrums in front of, and get away with it. She was adopted ... she had to be the good, well behaved child ... because she never belonged, she had no right. It was only kindness that kept her from being homeless, and she had to be grateful and be a good girl all the time, to repay that kindness.
Now she belongs. She has someone of her own, someone who loves her, someone she belongs to, someone who panders to her whims, who coaxes her out of her tantrums as though she has a right to throw them ... Rudra can be a child with her ... and she is finally confident enough of her position and her importance in his life, that she can be a child with him too.
And tell him that however childish she is, she behaves older than him most of the time!
Back to the room ... she wants water ... he gets it. The imp in Paro awakens ... this is a good situation, make the most of it.
So she wants a pillow for her foot ... put into position most carefully and gently.
One more for her head ... not this one, a bigger one please ... arranged equally carefully.
Can I have my doll?
Produced and handed over ... accepted with a mischievous smile. Arranged carefully on the bedside table.
Anything more, memsaab? He knows what she's up to ... he'll pander to her demands today ... for now ...
Paro winks at the doll. Since he's asking ...why not?
Maybe you should sing me a song too ... that one ...
She's teasing him, time to tease her back ...
And Paro in the middle of her tease, gets a shock to find her husband very close .. too close ... drat the man, when he knows what that does to her. It dries up her tongue ... as he knew it would.
'Which song ...?' in a husky voice, which says he can do more than sing ...
She smiles, blushes, moves slightly ... and jerks her injured foot ... immediately teasing forgotten in concern.
She's in pain, but says it's okay ... and he feels bad again, how little she complains ... he's sorry, he should have gone with her, maybe this wouldn't have happened ... he feels bad because it's her ...
Why? Wouldn't he have felt equally bad if it had happened to say, maasa?
He clams up immediately ... she knew he would but her words strike where they were meant to.
Sleep.
She settles down, so does he ... then he speaks again .... but it's not in anger for reminding him of maasa. Instead, it's more teasing ...
'I'm waiting, memsaab ... any more orders? Pillow, doll, water ... rain, snow ..?'
No, he's not angry this time at the mention of maasa ... the edge of the fifteen year old anger is already fading.
A small giggle ...
Overheard by Mohini ... much to her fury, as she shuts the big main door ... poison, Laila, mirchi, acid ... nothing seems to be able to separate these two. They're actually laughing together ...
Shutting the door seems to be like bolting it after the horse has bolted ... as a strange hand snuffs out the diya Paro had lit.
In the morning, Rudra wakes to find Paro's doll missing ... and he goes out to search for it ... he and Maithili see the missing doll at the same time ... with a torn arm. A letter with it ... and an anonymous phone call ... the acid fell on Paro's foot not by accident but by design. If the attacker wanted, it would have fallen on her face.
Next shock ... the extinguished diya ... Paro had lit it for her fast. Her first Teej.
Maithili shows Mala the letter.
Rudra finds his co-conspirators in Maithili ... and Mala. They will not tell Paro any of this ...
And he lights the diya again quickly before Paro can see it.
Seems like Rudra will come closer to Mala through his need to protect Paro ... their joint need.
How come Rudra, the brave, brilliant BSD officer, wakes up the moment Paro stirs, but sleeps through Laila stomping through their room to meet Mala, and through a stranger entering their room, picking up the doll and leaving?
precap is scary.

Dia looks like you were right, the baddie looks like wants to hurt both Rudra & Paro, his phone call to Rudra proved it!
ReplyDeleteHow creepy was it to pick up the doll from the couples room while they are asleep??!! And what's with Rudra, he is supposed to be BSD office not a regular guy-' ghode beechke sootha hai' ;-))
By the way Paro was allergic to milk and they made a big show of it too but today she was gulping it down, huh?!! ;-))
That was creepy!!! The guy actually entered their bedroom ... and the two slept through it? Okay, Paro had been given a sleeping med, but Rudra, the BSD officer ???
DeleteI noticed the milk too ... too many bloopers today!
Okay guys, all our theorizing went blowing in the wind :((( according to latest spoiler, the negative guy will be playing a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde role - he is going to reprise SRK's role(s) from DDLJ & Darr ...... desperate much?
ReplyDeleteI thought it's supposed to be Varun's brother out for revenge for his brother's death? Too many spoilers ... either the PH is keeping things very tight ... or they're still making up their minds!
DeleteThere are too many theories circulating on the net. Not sure which one to believe. If the new track is completely unrelated to any of the previous tracks, then it is a total waste of time. I would like to believe that the psycho is related to paro's ex hubby varun. Let's wait and watch.
ReplyDelete- Madhumitha
A BSD officer from across the border?
DeleteAnything is possible in soap land..............siggghhhhhhhhhhhh
DeleteI guess we are too impatient. :D
ReplyDeleteLet's leave the script writing to the CVs and enjoy the show. :D
- Madhumitha
Hello everyone.
ReplyDeleteNot to sound negative. And I know that I said that we are impatient. Not sure how this track is going to gel with the main story. I know its too early to predict anything. But today's episode didn't register in my mind. Not even the Paro-Rudra scenes. Btw, when is Teej? I thought it would be sometime in July last week to August first week. There are too many bloopers nowadays. Paro drinks milk for which she made a fuss on her suhaag raat. And Teej.... Not sure if you guys remember, but Rudra's birthday is on July 31. Mohini had mentioned this piece of information to Panditji when he had come to fix a date for Paro-Rudra wedding. And Paro's birthday is March 2, which everyone forgot. Atleast at that point of time, the situation wasn't good enough to celebrate someone's birthday and moreover, Paro was a criminal/hostage. Please.... no more bloopers. They are becoming more and more obvious now. Have to wait and see how this track turns out. Hope this track has substance to stretch for another 3 weeks.
Kya baat hain Madhu - you remembered Rudra and Paro's birthday! Even Major-sa forgot (not to mention Paro herself).
DeleteThe CVs sure want us on a roller coaster of emotions from the depressing sob-sob Mala track to the now thriller/ killer track. They dragged the Mala track until we all screamed enough. Now lets hope this thriller track ends in 1/2 to 1 day like some others (Paro leaving Rudra, Raro-Rudra finding Mala etc). I do not like thrillers (it's stressful for me) - so I'll be glad when they are done. I don't understand the need to add more villains and make up new stories - why not show parallel tracks like Maithili-Samrat (what happened to his new thriving business) or Aman - someone love angle (not Suneheri please!). The find Nandini and the rest of the girls track or Sumer's blotched haveli selling plan.
What's the need to bring in new characters? I just don't get it.
God Madhu-Mitha, you have memory like an elephant!! I had noticed it previously too, but you know them all in detail ;-))
DeletePersonally its too early to comment on the current plot, let it unfold further, saying so agree with you that today episode wasn't that impactful, because they have delivered far better one's prior.
It certainly does look like the CV's are experimenting with different plots, the TRP's are probably to blame for this, they are trying to see what's going to work so that audiences like them, a mysterious, scary villain, damsel in distress and a prince/hero to save the day & the beauty works on all age groups all the time.
@ Morning Breeze: Thanks for the compliment. :D :D I do remember most of the things. ;) Like you said, it is a little too early to comment on the current track. What to do?? I was frustrated because of the stories circulating in the net about this plot. Personally, I feel bad for the cast, CVs and everyone associated with RR. This is the only cast after IPKKND, that has tremendous acting potential. I could watch a serial for its cast, even if the plot is compromised. That is the whole problem with most of the serials out there. I am just not able to connect to the characters because of average acting. I think the CVs were doing alright until the Maha Shivrathri wedding plan. The story and the narration was linear until that point. The story deviated a lot from that point. Dilsher's coma, Paro entering the haveli, her love confession, her standing on one leg, the hate marriage and the subsequent tracks. I don't really blame the CVs too. Woh kya kar sakte hain, beyond a point? The major flaw in these tracks was Paro's change of feelings overnight. Especially when, her feelings were not made obvious to the viewers in the beginning. All the tracks have direct relation to the main plot. Let's hope this plot does not disappoint us.
ReplyDeleteSo, Paro is celebrating an early Teej. Creative liberties!!! :) :) That's ok. We get to see the new villain on the night of her first Teej. The mangled doll and the short letter indicates that the villain is targeting both Rudra and Paro. I am still not buying the Jekyll and Hyde, SRK's Darr references. Trying hard to be patient. :D :D
I just hate the fact that this is happening to a good show like RR. The show was never given the time and chance to prove its worth. Oh well.... Bracing myself for anything that's going to happen. :) :)
i think the show is too scatterbrained to watch. either the original story writers left(and they only have dialogue writers on the creative team now), or they have big projects so that there is zero attention paid to the RR script.. also, i think the RR production crew is stretched thin with JDJ.. i am wondering why they are not developing side stories instead of focusing 10min/day on ashish.
ReplyDeleteand the explanation on IF seems to be that this new villain guy is paro's dead husbands brother.. now if he comes up with the soap dish, we can all sing. imagination ki hadh hoti hai yaar..
you have some of the hottest actors on tv, PLUS some excellent character actors who get no screen time, no dialogues- only costumes.. well, yes, it looks pretty.
no, i cannot connect with the story.. i find that random moments in english channels suck me in without knowing any of the story... here i know the story and am cringing while watching.
they have tried all the TRP gimmicks in the last month..but in the last three days, i have to say i predict the TRP to have plummetted this week. only because of that acid attack preview.
.. i think it was the producer who accepted that violence was a part of this serial from the start.. and yes, it had a tamil/kannada fightfilm feel to it when it started.. then it mellowed, regressed into comedy, tried to conform to regular hindi serial land .. but the basic taste is still that of a violent action flick. i think the problem is still the translation.. take a kannada story into rajasthan, make it conform to metrosexual mumbai feel.. and the story shatters unless treated with an extremely gentle experienced hand at the reins. which RR lacked.
well, good luck to all the actors involved, they did good with what they had.
This is exactly what happened with IPKKND, people got over involved with it forgetting that it was only reel life not real life, you had to see some of the discussions/posts in IF then, goodness gracious!! That unfortunately ( with other reasons of course ) ended the serial prematurely, and I am afraid people and doing the same with this show too, poor Sanaya its her show again.
ReplyDeleteCompared to other shows out there I feel this is not bad at all, even what is being show right now!!! Yes I am serious.
As you have already mentioned RR has such a good cast members and its a treat to watch each one of them, every tiny scene like the one today when Mohini hears Paro laughing happily, she gets annoyed & jealous her muttering away that the couple is getting closer and neither poison, Laila, Tejawat could separate them was so nicely & naturally done, just sometimes we mumble frustrations while doing some other work,it was well done, so there is more than only the love birds to look out for ;-)
My point is I have decided that I am going to enjoy the show till it lasts and look at the positive aspects only, that's my mantra ;-))
I am resigned ... jo hoga dekha jayega. Am watching without any attachment at all ... some scenes are still worth watching, but the main story has gone for a toss. And I'm not resigned because of the show ... I do watch other shows on an off-on basis, and they are almost all far worse in terms of story telling ... but like MB says, there is no involvement there to the extent there is with RR ... so one doesn't care. I loved that little scene where Rudra lies down, and says ... I'm waiting for further orders ... and Paro giggles ... Mohini overhears and gets furious ... those are such cute scenes. I could do without this new menace ... they are making this show very dark, and not giving any breaks at all.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jaya, why are they not developing the side stories better, rather than concentrating 10 min a day on Ashish ... to the detriment of the other characters ... that is one thing they have not understood from day one.
I'm with you, MB ... I'm going to do exactly the same ... enjoy it while it lasts, that's all.
Dia, count me too. I'm doing the same. Enjoy till it lasts. Love reading your posts regularly and discussions here. Keep coming:)
ReplyDeleteDia: thanks for the take. Made me watch the paro rudra scenes again. This time, I liked it. Was not something different. But it was good. Hoping to get a glimpse of the villain in the next two episodes. Again a couple of new spoilers have come out. Sighhhhhh.....
